Amazing restaurant....we had a delicious meal Saturday night and although it was really busy the service was fantastic. The staff are very curious, friendly and we wasn't kept waiting at all. Great menu, lots to chose from and the portions are very generous (brought some home in a box as I couldn't finish mine). Definitely be back, so much we want to try.

A faultless dining experience. Amazing food. It’s always difficult to choose a restaurant when you don’t know the area. However this was probably one of the best meals that we have had. Spotlessly clean throughout and staff very helpful. Really good atmosphere with obviously a very popular dining location for locals. Would very very highly recommend.

Delightful food, good portions for the price you pay, and a good range of options for any dietary requirements. We will be back again and we're happy with the service, staff once there were polite and keep to please with recommendations and a healthy interest in making recommendations and offering the specials. The chef is present and keen to make sure guests enjoy the food. I will warm on two fronts though, first the restaurant is a bit loud and this leads to problems when making bookings over the phone so use the app service to book and if you are hard of hearing request a table at the front of the restaurant in front of the bar. The second is that this place is not wheel chair access there is a step at the front doof, not huge but not a ramp and the disabled toilet is near the kitchen door and was out of use when we last visited so might be best to check in advance.

Had the best Valentines meal with the wife. The staff were super attentive and the food was outstanding as always. So fresh, tasty and great portion sizes. The Aegean does not disappoint at all. I absolutely recommend this place for either an intimate meal with the better half or for a party booking.

Been long time customers of the Agean. The service is very good, and the staff are always polite and helpful. The food is excellent. The food isauthentic Greek food, with something to suit any taste, and generous portions. While can be a bit costly, the price reflects the quality. Recommend highly, you will not be disappointed.

Family meal for 19, 3 days after Xmas. Absolutely lovely, 19 happy customers, quality and service of food exceptional, clean plates all round, and staff friendly throughout. Having not pre-ordered for such a large table expected some items to be in short supply, no real issues at all and everyone got their choices in a timely manner. Highly recommended.

Very good food. The only downside is there are no vegetarian main meal options. The halloumi is not good quality (think of something you’d get from Iceland frozen food). The service is fantastic, such friendly staff. Portions are very good too.

Just been for a quiet meal with my wife. Very friendly staff. Starter choice is great, we picked halloumi, garlic mushrooms and the spicy feta dip, really tasty. For mains we got the mixed souvlaki and a garlic king prawns and they didn't disappoint. Over all the meal was good value for money, very fresh and tasty. Will be going back soon

Poor quality and NOT anywhere near Value for money. DO NOT recommend The place was Very Cold The food was basic at best, for what they charged. Our mains honestly, so low quality we couldn't believe it. They charged £12.95 for bland poor , Very small portion of moussaka, ( more like a childs portion) chips or anything Extra ( approx £4 item ) We won't go back, such a shame as last time we went it was so different. Drinks, that a joke, NO draft beers at all or cider. Out of 8 people, ( various ages) no one would return. You can can make your own mind up. As we all are different. But when I told them about my food, not really interested and certainly didn't reflect on the bill. Such a shame tbh

Not a bad choice for a meal. We went for a load of starters in a tapas fashion and my only complaint was that the squid seemed to be coated in some kind of gelatin. Staff were relatively approachable, service was fast and the layout has a relaxed feel to it.

We were really looking forward to our family night at the Aegean. Our last visit was when is was still on Anlaby road and that was excellent. When we arrived we all wanted the Meze that was on the menu. We were quite rudely told no! To busy to order that have some starters and make your own. We ordered a second round of drinks that never came, we asked several times for our drinks. But still nothing. But upon arrival of the bill. The missing drinks were found in the price. The food we did order was excellent but the new venue lacks atmosphere. There was no music on and everything including the staff seemed very rushed. Will not be rushing back.

Food was very nice! Went here at lunchtime during the week so it wasn't too busy. Lots of Greek meals but lacking in vegetarian main meals. Don't think there were any but luckily plenty of nice starters to pair with a salad. Only comment was that while we were there, there was obviously staffing issues and the chef (possibly owner/manager) started shouting at the waiter because he answered the phone instead of serving. Did it out in the restaurant so was a little bit embarrassing!! 😳 Overall very nice though.

Just got in from eating for the first time at the aegean we was greeted by nikos who was lovely explained the dishes and wines ( very professional) my husband got the hummus I got the goats cheese starters they where really delicious. We went for the meat platter for 2 omg it was huge and also delicious but beat us we couldn't eat it all. we couldn't recommend this place enough we will definitely return to try the rest of the menu. A definite 5 star. Although parking isn't great for the restaurant that's the only negative! The food is absolutely fantastic and the portion sizes are very generous! As usual we had a lovely culinary experience, each of us tasting each others food. My starter of spicy sausage was faultless and I could have eaten another. My lamb main course was nice but the lamb itself was on the dry side. I didn't know lamb could be dry and chewy. I didn't finish it and hankered after another sausage starter. My overall enjoyment was not spoilt too much however and I would definitely go back.

An amazing find, thanks trip advisor for the recommendation. A Greek oasis in Anlaby, really has the atmosphere of a taverna in Greece. The staff were all lovely, attentive with out being intrusive and friendly. Excellent service from the moment we entered the restaurant to the moment we left. We chose the meze and the manager recommended with only 2 of us in his experience we would better with a mini meze. We were very grateful for this as had more than enough food, all of which was so tasty, well cooked and presented. Can't wait for our next visit.

We had the meze meal - thought the food was not going to stop coming! Really good way to try a huge selection of greek food. The staff are so lovely and work really hard. Great to have the greek musicians too. The head waiter can seem quite abrupt however we put it down to stress as the restaurant was full and we were a large table paying separate bills at the end of the night. Would definitely go back. Make sure you go there hungry if you having the meze we were eating for nearly 3 hours!

Wow... Best Greek food I've eaten in a long time... Was recommend by a friend and we weren't disappointed AT ALL. Very friendly staff, welcoming cosy place. The food was delicious, the seafood starter and stuffed vine leaves we had was devine... Prawn saginaki and Pork kebab for mains equally as tasty and highly recommended. Have to even mention the chips, so tasty! Don't usually eat desserts but had to try the Baklava, and mmmmmmm, so glad I did, very yummy indeed. Very generous portions. Starters, mains, dessert, a coffee, couple of drinks (alcoholic) and water for the 2 of us all for £49!!!! Will be back, SOON!!

I would give this place five stars however when I went they had live music on, this music was not bad, I enjoyed it however it felt rather loud especially because the eating area is rather small which means the music is a bit much. We were at a table with around seven people and we had to speak loudly and at the end of the evening my throat was hurting. I believe we went on Greek night however this is just worth mentioning. Just in case you are wondering we went on a Friday evening. After that rant I can get on to the important stuff the food, I loved it which is one reason I am sad about not giving it five stars, I order chicken kebab and it was incredible, it melted in my mouth and I ate it all. We ordered starters which tasted amazing however I can't remember what they are. I will be going again, it is an incredible restaurant, a true Greek meal at a great price and in a lovely setting, which looks rather romantic but I will have to put that to the tester.

Well, what can I say, I've always wanted to go and last night the wife treated me. So glad she did. The staff are very friendly and our waiter Costas and the manager (think his name was Bibis) chatted yo us and explained the food very well. All ingredients are authentic Greek wherever possible and expertly cooked. Portions ate huge. The mixed meze for two at 25quid per person was masdive, 13 starters and a Heap of mains, we had kebabs but saw 2 lots delivered to tables and it looked lush. Food was full of flavour and beautifully cooked. Oh and their chips are the best in Hull. Better than the famous fish n chip shop in Bilton. Fantastic food. They have live music on Fridays. It's essential to book early as we had the last table and the restaurant was full. Fab staff, fanstatic authentic food and value for money. A bottle of wine, 3 starters, two mains and two liqueurs all for 53 quid. Sweet. Highly recommended and this place deserves to be no. 1 in Hull.
