B. H.Pretty good! Our group had the tasting menu. We were accommodated well in the upstairs event room.
Overall the food was good: 4 courses of the vegetarian menu were exceptional, the rest were a bit average and we were served a block of paneer in 2 dishes, hence just missing out on 5 stars on this occasion.
Would definitely come back to try the á la carte menu though.
A. A.Exquisite food and vibrant atmosphere. The place boasts of Michelin 2020, and has a relatively small menu. It’s on the pricier side, but the quality of the food is good. I wanted to enjoy a seafood 🦞 main course as curry 🍛 but none of the seafood main-courses were curry. The laalmans was beautifully flavoured but the meat was dry and shredded. The Gilaafi kabab was brilliant though.

M.We were joining a party of friends and colleagues for a retirement meal so didn’t even know where we were dining till last minute but we were blown away by the quality of food and service we received, being from Bradford we know what good curry tastes like and this was amongst the best we’ve ever had, admittedly not the cheapest but worth every penny!
S. M.A great Indian restaurant right on the marina in Hull. Very authentic and excellent cooking. The Koliwada fish fry is a good starter. The lamb shank is very tender, as is the kachchi biryani. The bhapa doi (baked yogurt and sweet cream) is an outstanding desert. Recommended.

I. S.There are a few really good Indian restaurants in and around Hull, but if it's a fine dining experience in a great location that you're looking for, this is most definitely the place.
The Nalli Gosht and Rajasthani Lal Maans are my personal favourites, but the lunchtime thali with a glass of wine is also fantastic value, in my book.
There's a good selection of quality wines on offer, and the service is never anything less than excellent.

N. A.Tapasya is not your run off the mill Indian restaurant. When you walk in you wouldn't think that it was an Indian restaurant. You'd probably think it was a modern British restaurant. The fact that it is halal is s bonus for me. The service and waiting staff were excellent.
The food was exceptional. Highly recommend this place. The presentation of the food on the plate was like art on a plate!

We had lunch here on a sunny Saturday in November and were unsure if we would enjoy a midday Indian. We needn't have worried!
There was a limited but tasty lunch menu that catered for carnivores, vegetarians and those needing gluten free. The setting was very slick and the service was great.
Best if all, the price was just under £10 per person, so came in under £30 for two , including drinks and service..
Would thoroughly recommend Tapasya for lunch and would love to return for dinner sometime.

D. M.This restaurant is the place to go for a special occasion. I don't think of it as curry, it's more like exquisite food to me. I've been three times and will confess to always having the taster menu. It has been a delicious and different theme to each course. Have whatever you want to drink but I like the Quilmes lager from Argentina. The cocktails were were highly rated by other guests.

Everything we ordered was superb, with good portion sizes and immaculate presentation. Felt like I could have eaten the whole thing again quite easily, and the balance of heat and flavour in the spicier dishes was spot on.
Combining that level of food with great service and friendly waiting staff means we will definitely be visiting here again. (and giving the street food outlet in Trinity Market a try as well!)

J. M.Great service and the main course was devine, very disappointed with the starter of scallops, they were tiny, no bigger than a 20pence piece and I presume probably frozen ones and not big juicy fresh ones. For £13 for a starter it wasn't worth it. Main u cannot fault
T. R.Lovely dinner after we visited the deep in Hull. Didn’t book a table but they were happy to seat us very quickly and we viewed a menu on our phones. Food we ordered arrived warm and quickly and the service was good too. One of the waitresses saw me fishing blueberries out of my mocktail for my toddler and bought up a plate of blueberries for her which I thought was so kind and thoughtful. Food was nice too with a nice view outside of the boats. Thank you.

Top notch service, the best I've received in England! *Edit* Turns out they close between lunch and dinner and the information they have on Google maps did not reflect this. I arrived just after 2 and was taking my time. The server kept coming over and I told him I was doing fine. He then informed me that they were actually closed. He told me not to rush, but I could not relax after that. I informed him about the discrepancy and that I did not even look at the hours on the door, because I had looked online. Hopefully they will make the edit, as I chose to eat there, based upon the information provided by Google maps.

M. R.Wonderfully presented restaurant with great atmosphere. My expectations were high. However, despite excellent attentive waiters, the menu gave no indication of the strength of dish. I can’t eat very hot and spicy food. I had the lamb kebab to start which was almost too spicy to finish. I chose Lamb Shank as mains thinking it wouldn’t be too hot. But again, almost too hot to enjoy. I would recommend this restaurant, but do ask the waiter about the strength of the dishes you choose.

We couldn't choose 1 main dish each so we shared 3 between 2 of us (lamb shank, a rich paneer dish and butter chicken) and each one was fantastic.

T. R.Food was lovely, this was my second visit and I was not disappointed with my meal. However the manager was a total disgrace, he was rude and extremely unpleasant. Despite the food itself being good it was very disorganised. We had booked our table some six weeks ago and pre ordered our meals, however we waited over an hour before being served our starter, then our main meal came in dribs and drabs, so much so some of it was cold. Not sure if I'd bother going again. Put a bit of a damper on a family celebration.

J. K.Not bad for the price on the lunch menu. Lovely place and decor but I hate that a service charge has starting to creep into the UK. I'll tip if I feel it's deserved not because it's forced upon me. 10% is a lot and I wouldn't haven't given anywhere near that especially after one of the staff rudely hovered over our table to take a picture for the next table whilst we where still having lunch......... extremely rude!

j. k.Went with another couple to celebrate their 1st wedding anniversary. Had not been before but heard good things. Was a beautiful place with excellent staff. Not your usual choices on the menu, much more of an up market Indian restraunt, with about 12 starter choices and 12 main choices. Details about your doors but no indication of spice or heat so remember to ask. I had the scallops which were cooked beautifully but the lentils although great were very spicy which was not indicated. I managed but another may leave them and at £10 that's a waste. Really lovely food and a great place on the marina. Loos were great too 😁 Will look forward to returning.

Returned with same friends as had really enjoyed last visit. I had the paneer as a starter and the other three had a sheek kebabs which said lightly spiced!!! My hubby managed no problem, the other gent managed but found it quite hot, the lady could not manage. I tried a little of my husband's and it was very spicy with a chilli afterkick to the throat. She was unable to eat it. We then had mains of bass fillet in a mild spice..Not too bad but I did scrape the spices off the fish which still left it nicely spiced bit not too bad. The other gent had a possin which was again spicy but bearable and the lady had fillet of pork which was delicious but with vegetables which were so strong they were again left.
I know it's an Indian...I know it's not your typical Indian cuisine and is sort of posh Indian but there needs to be some sort of indication of level of spiciness so people do not end up wasting such a lot of money on something that seems to look lovely but is inedible to them. We do not all have the same tastebuds. Even if there is a little ' this is a mild dish' comment type thing on each item rather than numbers or chillies or something. Or if the staff are prompted to tell people that things are of a certain heat/spice level rather than leaving them to guess. It's a great place, lovely environment, clean and the staff are great but we probably won't return as it's too hot and miss with whether the food can be eaten and for the prices it's not worth the risk.

N. H.My wife and I popped in after noticing the afternoon lunch offer £10.90 each.. It was a very posh and excellently decorated restaurant. The meal was a selection of small Indian tappas type dishes. I had salad starter, chicken for main and then you have naan bread, rice and another sauce. Also you get the dessert of the day. It is a beautiful hot day. And we are sat eating outside overlooking the boats in the marina....fabulous....life doesn't get much better.

M. B.The food was very nice (5*). The service was attentive; "ok" in delivery (3*). The seating was not very good at all (2*). I suggest if you are seated upstairs in front of the wine collection be prepared to have the manager squeeze past every 15minutes without apology or excusing.

Staff all very polite and attentive , discreet but watching and ready to top your wine or clear your plates . Food excellent . Not your full blown Indian restaurant ( no curries or Baltis) but fine dining mixing English favourites like oxtail or venison with a not too spicy sauce or relish ., worked well. Carrot cake pud with ice cream and a subtle spiced dash of sauce was gorgeous , as was soft shell crab starter and venison main with sides of pureed spinach and cottage cheese . Pickle dish and poppadoms was well received while waiting for starter . Beautiful surroundings with full window wall looking onto Marina . Some bits upstairs to finish off on way to toilets but looking good so far .
Not cheap but not the dearest place in Hull and for what you get ( food and service wise)worth every penny . With an option for coffee and an Irish for me in the bar/reception we had a great evening
