K. H.Came here on Saturday September 25th as it opened. We were served very promptly by a very friendly waiter. The food was lovely, very well cooked. We were always kept up to date about the state of our order which was a nice touch. Very reasonable prices as well. Only problem was the ladies toilets. When I went in the toilet doors have a massive gap around them so you can easily see out into the bathroom. I know only ladies would go in there but it is a little uncomfortable to find there’s a large enough gap for people to see into, hence four stars and not five.
R. J.Took my son and granddaughter here on a quiet Monday night. Service was very good and the food was excellent. My son and I both had Keema's whilst my granddaughter had a chicken dish. They both remarked on the quality of the food and would definately go again.

The staff were lovely, our waiter was very friendly and prompt! The food arrived on time and the price was good for what we ordered! Defo will go back!

J. H.Well this may contradict some reviews but it was our experience. My wife, daughter and I went in Sunday night after watching Queen (very good) and booking a table for 8:30. So, we turned and was seated. The place is nice and cozy inside. After 10 minutes I asked for a menu to which a waiter muttered yes or something. We waited another 5 minutes and askdd again. Now there was 1 table of 4 and a table of 8 all eating. So asked again and got menus. The waiter took drinks orders about a further 5 mins later. The starters arrived and were nice in all fairness. However the pickles were insipid. One just chopped onion with some flecks of parsley, the mango chutney was jam - smooth and sugary and the garlic was off white and more like yoghurt. We all said not nice. One whole hour later and after asking 4 times, restaurant near empty now with just us 2 others and the 1 table of 4. Well the mains arrived and then a few minutes later the sides. Again being fair, the mains were very nice. Wife and daughters tasted exactly the same but were different from the menu. The vegetable curry was lacking taste and watery. We all didn't like it. At nearly 10pm we abandoned the last course paid (fifty quid) and left. Mains & starter good, rest bad and service very poor. We have had better food for same money that left enough for the next day. Can't say we will visit here again. Mediocre food, bad service.

Went for the 5 course deal and it didn't disappoint. £11.95 each, Start off with popadoms and dip, good choice of starters, main meal with chips/rice/naan, side of veg curry, and a coffee or ice-cream to finish. Will be returning asap! They have an amazing selection of Currys of various hotness. Everything was a flavor sensation!!

Around 6 or 7 years ago, we would get a takeaway from Madras every weekend without fail! The staff were amazing and very friendly and the food was simply the best Indian Food I have tasted anywhere. Then the healthy eating plan kicked in and the takeaways had to stop! Anyway, went back for a very rare takeaway this weekend to watch the footy with and it is great to be able to say the staff are still super friendly and the food is as good as ever. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough for both dine in and takeaway. Give it a try, you will not be disappointed. The Chicken Patia is outstanding!!

P. S.For quality of food and great service, My first experience of Madras Restaurant was second to none. The tandoori starters were perfect! moist and tender pieces of lamb and chicken with just the right amount of spice! Really good! I took guidance from the waiter when choosing my main as I wanted to try something new! I don’t know the name of the dish but it was excellent. Lots of flavour and a aftershock of spice with every bite! The portion sizes are great! We had enough leftovers to take home and enjoy on toast as again recommend by the waiter! We had a feast for two with plenty of drinks for under £60, madras is also good value for money. I am looking forward to my next visit and hope the standards are maintained during a week night!

Prices really well, Sunday to Thursday 5 course for something like £11.50, so so cheap for an Indian. I've been here many times and never had a problem.
I arrived once at just before 9pm and was a little disappointed that when it come to ordering, as it was gone 9, I was unable to order the 5 course set meal but that's not a huge issue as I should've arrived earlier!
Will definitely visit again sometime. Drinks are not priced too bad either. Got a 500ml bottle of flavoured bulmers for £2.80 which I thought was good value
P.Perfect place, one of the best Indian restaurants in the area. The staff are very friendly and helpful. My wife didn't like her main dish although i found it good but the manager insisted on changing it abd adjust it they way she wanted, we felt really special.
The taste of the food is authentic. Thank you for such experience.

My fiance loves his curries and has eaten at the best in bradford/leeds & manchester and he said this was even better. We opted for the set meal which was a very reasonable.It was lovely very tasty & portion sizes just right.

L. E.6 of us came for food and one of them being a picky eater and never tried curry before. A waiter recommended a dish for him and which he decided to choose and was happy with what he ordered and the Waiter checked up on us and made sure everything was good.

There’s some good variety to choose from if you like Indian food. Some of the items come with nan, while for others you need to buy them separately which actually costs £2 for a nan (a bit excessive). However they do have a 5 course meal option running from Sun-Thurs which is a good cheaper alternative.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating, the food quality was good. There’s also Halal option for most meats except duck. Overall a good place to eat.

S.the restaraunt itself had a complete make over about 31/2 yrs ago and looks really nice and a good size tables and chairs where comfortable, unfortunatly we were the only ones there, but the owners and staff where very polite and attentative, the young proprietors son, was very helpful in letting us know what we was eating and helpful in making my choice on what to eat as i dont do very hot food.....

A.Even though we live 30 minute drive away this is our regular curry house for the simple reason it is excellent food. Some original curry dishes and they also serve the classics. Service is always delightful. We are yet to find a restaurant we love more than madras.

F. C.An extensive menu very nicely cooked and presented. The staff (and the owner) always welcome you and check that all is to your satisfaction. The a la carte can work out pricey but the tea time special menu which includes poppadoms, starter, main course with rice or nan bread and coffee or ice cream is a real bargain for around a tenner. Worth the many repeat visits we have made.
