C. G.Went out on a date night with my husband and it was amazing. The service was amazing, staff were really friendly. Definitely suggest this place if you're looking for somewhere quiet. It was my first time trying the shrimp and pork dumplings but for first time try, I'll be coming back for sure!

J. d.Always a good choice as eat in or take away. Vast menu of tasty fresh traditional Chinese cuisine. Not the most stylish place but the food and service make up for the decor. Beware it's cash only! But worth every penny.

I. O.I'm giving this a 5 star to make sure this review comes up. I had a terrible experience at this restaurant. Ordered for mixed vegetable rice and it was served watery and bland. Ordered for sweet & sour spare ribs and was given something that looks and tastes entirely different and the waiter insisted it was what I had ordered. I have been to a couple of Chinese restaurants here in the UK and their food was amazing, but this one I will definitely NOT recommend. Left without eating a meal I spent 24 pounds on.
R. 1.Delicious food, large portions, friendly and attentive staff. The decor is traditional and perhaps slightly less modern than it could be, but this is a very minor issue in the face of Yinjibar's many, many positive features. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to any and all who asked!

D. C.With my usual Chinese closes for the week, me and my family ended up coming here. The food was enjoyable but the restaurant was far to cramped, to the point someone on the table next to us and I accidently bumped elbows twice during the course of the meal.
It would make me uncomfortable in good times, but with Covid still very much being a thing I felt unsafe.
Would recommend customers use as a takeaway, but not as a restaurant.

R. A.My first review was 2 years ago. Since then in the last 6 month the food quality has gone down on my last visit i had roast Duck and roast pork .thay were both under cooked the Duck skin was nearly white and the pork hardly had any. Seasoning on.would only rate it 3 now.

T. G.Excellent experience all round. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We hadn't booked and they found us a table even though they were very busy, it being Valentine's Day. There was such an extensive choice on the menu, even for vegetarians, presenting us the problem: do we stick with what we know or attempt something new. Having decided, the food was served promptly and hot. Would not hesitate to return or recommend it on. And not expensive either! Brilliant.

N. S.Quite possibly the best Chinese in Hull! The menu is sizable and full of really good dishes. The portions are huge and larglet inexpensive. You always know when you've got a good Chinese restaurant as the local Chinese people eat there too. Reservations are usually recommended as it's not got many tables but it's well worth a visit if you've not been! Love it here!!!
L. S.Very traditional style food. I suspect it's better for omnivores as the vegetable dishes always seem to be lacking somewhat. Also, they've stopped doing sushi! which is insane as they did the best sushi in Hull.
M. K.SO MUCH CHOICE! The best Chinese restaurant in Hull. Don't be scared and get stuck in. The rotating centre of the table makes it easy to share and very fun.
Groups are recommended to book in advance as it's not very big inside.
Food was hot and cooked to perfection. There are common Chinese meals as well as delicacies. Service was good and staff were friendly. Lots of local Chinese customers.

However, the menu is so very large that I can't believe many (or any) dishes are made freshly.
The food doesn't seem to contain MSG, as typically food with MSG gets my heart racing and keeps me awake.
Service is swift and to the point.
Definitely a good stop-off before or after the theatre, and occasionally you'll run into a performer having their dinner too!

R. J.I quite enjoyed the visit and the food although, Chinese food is not high on my 'must have' list. However I ate with a number of friends who have lived and worked in China, the consensus is that Yinjibar is one of the best Chinese eateries outside China.
