Great place for brunch. Food very tasty as all is fresh from their own farms. Very large dining area plenty of tables and chairs. Very clean and modern. Staff helpful and informative. Great place to stop for a break if on A12 just before Orwell Bridge if heading East.

It has a lovely view over the Orwell River and is comfortable. However considering its seating capacity and the fact it was half empty we had to wait an hour for food then we had to ask for cutlery. All in all the service was quite poor

We went today for an afternoon tea. It was so very tasty, the view is amazing there and the staff did all they could for us. The amount of food was definitely satisfactory. The restaurant is well kept, modern and warm. No mess anywhere and plenty of staffing to avoid disappointing waits. Pre booking is essential for afternoon tea. Overall 5 out of 5, very impressed.

If you're looking for a greasy spoon for a quick breakfast, this place isn't for you! If you want something a little more special, then it definitely is. Hubby and I went for breakfast on his birthday. Menu is good... plenty of choice with pescetarian, veggie and vegan options available. Hubby had the full English and I had Eggs Royale and both were delicious. You have the option of switching items on the full English ('meat for meat' and 'veg for veg') so if black pudding's not your thing, you can switch it for extra bacon or another sausage and if you don't like tomatoes, you can opt for more beans or another egg. We also had fresh orange juice and coffees which were, again, full of flavour. The kitchen is open to view and both it and the restautant were spotless. The staff were efficient and very friendly and the view of the river and the Orwell Bridge is amazing. There's also notes and pictures around giving a little history about the place and the locals. Lovely shop to browse with fresh local ingredients, things for the garden, a smaller coffee shop and a great play area for small children. Highly recommend. We'll be back :) Only reason I knocked a star off is because it might be a little on the expensive side if you are a family of 4 or 5 (about £18 a head for breakfast, juice and coffee) but for a birthday or occasional treat, worth every penny.

This is a great place and you can have a lovely dinner with a view to the bridge. The turkey is to die for. The staff who served us was great and the person who came to check if everything is in order was also great. I do suggest to at least stop and have dinner there, kids have a nice playground, and there is even a garden you can have a walk in. Great job in maintainig the place and huge parking lot which was a bonus. I am happy I checked the area before I came to England.

We visited Suffolk Food Hall for the first time on the recommendation of a friend and were not disappointed. It was a very cloudy day but The Cookhouse restaurant was warm and friendly. The burger I had was the most tasty of beef burgers and the view was lovely across the fields and under the Orwell Bridge. Staff were friendly and all in all, can't wait to visit again.

Food was alright, overpriced and easily forgotten. Seemed ill suited to cater for a large group (despite pre-booking and pre-ordering from a further limited menu). Cakeage charged for a party, I understand the thought process but it just meant they lost me and (8 other) diners from ever celebrating an event at this establishment. Seem to want a Clientele they just won't attract as basically a restaurant on the side of a garden centre / food hall. Would I go back... Yes; by my own choosing... No.

Afternoon tea was tasty But I'm registered disabled and having to walk to restaurant from car park is too far and caused me to panic and in lots of pain by the time I sat down at table.
