Reviews of Kingswinford Beefeater
Attended the Beefeater and saw a craft fair in the side room. Was blown away with the talent. Staff in the bar area are also welcoming and they have epic food . Whole place is clean and accessible.
If I could give this place more than 5☆ I would. From the moment we stepped into the restaurant we were looked after. The service by Shannon was excellent. The food was amazing. Steak cooked to perfection and the chocolate brownie was absolutely yummy 😋 . Great overall service and air conditioning was a welcome bonus. Highly recommended.
Had a lovely birthday meal and drinks! Nicky the manager was especially accommodating and really appreciated it, was a fantastic visit and we will be back! ❤️
Visit occasionally for breakfast with the kids, love the kids eat free offer. The food was fab, plenty of choice for continental breakfast and I must prefer ordering my cooked breakfast. Lovely, fresh and hot when it arrived at the table. Only negative is I wish they had hot chocolate available as I don’t drink tea or coffee
This was a last minute booking for two of us, we both had Ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly. We could not fault the hard working and attentive staff, especially Nicola she was attentive pleasant and friendly which made our last minute experience very pleasant, we will definitely be back well done to all concerned. 😊
Good food, served by polite and friendly waitress.
We weren't rushed, nor were we left waiting for long periods of time. Perfect experience
Last minute booking as we had a voucher for 30%. Best steak I've had out for a long time, real fresh onion rings instead if usual frozen rubbish, and a decent sized portion too, really enjoyed it and our server Hannah was so upbeat and happy, you couldn't help but be in a happy mood. Thank you for a lovely evening all around.
Fantastic service by Hannah, she was very friendly and nothing was a bother. Food was cooked to perfection, asked for 1 steak to be rare and this was executed to point which shows chef knows his steak’s definitions. Usually go to the Badgers Sett but thought we would have a change as they were fully booked and the Kingwinford didn’t disappoint. Would recommend this location, great atmosphere & food excellent. Great service all round.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal with our children. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service was amazing. It was a little slow at times but I think they were short on staff and extremely busy. My only issue would be with the overall bill- cocktails were 2for £10 and I don't think this was deducted. Also, we used a blue light card and should've have received 25%discount on food, but again, I don't think this was calculated properly.
The food is a little pricey here but overall, I think it is worth it. All meals were delicious and the pub itself is clean and tidy.
Not the first time we've been , when we visit the local black country museum and have a nose around we stay at the premier inn that's attached to this beefeater . As usual we had breakfast and because of health reasons we can only have the continental , very nice . Sometimes we stay for lunch and the food is always well cooked and presented . The evening meals are nicely done and we stop there if we're in the area . The staff are generally social and , if they have time , you can get bits of local history from them . We were served by Hannah R , on this occasion and she was nice enough to spend part of her break telling us about the local area . It's the staff as much as the service that brings us back . Give it a try , smile at the staff they're working their socks off . We'll be there again . No doubt .
Good breakfast. Brilliant service. I visited this morning with my mum who is deaf, last minute booking but mentioned on the online booking for a quiet table as one guest is hard of hearing. Greeted by Hannah R who was friendly and welcoming and more amazingly started signing as well as facing my mum so that she could lip read. As my mum lip reads Hannah allocated us a table backing onto a wall with good lighting which is the best environment for us to have a conversation. Thank you Hannah. Breakfast was normal good quality premier inn standard, although if I was being picky the orange juice seemed very watery. Great value for money and thanks again for your thoughtfulness Hannah b
Nice pub to have a quick lunch. Did exactly what we expected. Standard pub foot items at a decent quality at a reasonable price. We went at a quiet time, and the service was great. Bottomless soft drinks for those that don't drink which is good.
December 17th 2022: Excellent atmosphere - met at the door and shown to our table which was clean and presentable. Menus given and meals ordered - with help and advice from our friendly staff member. Not too long a wait and the food was good - although the cauliflower cheese was undercooked, everything else was of a very good standard. We weren't rushed even though the place was very busy. Prices were comparable with other venues and not excessive. Parking was easy as there's a huge car park right outside - and I would advise that, at this time of year, you book your table. Ours was a lunchtime meal and the place was quite busy. It was a lovely family meal - much enjoyed in a pleasant and friendly environment.
We stayed at the Premier Inn next door and visited the Beefeater for evening meal and breakfast. The food was excellent and good value. They were clearly understaffed but the 2 Hannahs worked tirelessly looking after their customers with a smile and good humour. As a manager myself I was impressed by their professionalism and service skills. The Hannahs are both a credit to your business. We hope to visit again. Thank you
Went here not expecting much, thinking it would be like a harvester but wow. The food and the quality were impeccable. I've never been out for food where the calamari wasn't overcooked, the steaks were cooked just as we asked them and the food came fast. I can't recommend it enough. It was like being at a posh restaurant! Compliments to the chef. He obviously enjoys what he does and the food reflects that. Thank you. Also I'd like to thank the lovely servers who couldn't do enough for us. They were friendly and positive and so helpful especially with the kids. Thank you, too.
We love coming here for a breakfast. We used to have evening meals quite a quite but to be honest we tend not to venture out on evenings as much now due to our toddler. either way the kids eat free on breakfasts helps. the fresh cooked breakfasts are wonderful and I've not seen a better selection of continental/toasts/fruits etc
Great food, reasonable prices. Friendly staff. Large pub/restaurant with nice ambience.Quick service ( Saturday evening, March)
Had a fantastic meal with my partner here on Friday and got served by a lovely lady Named Hannah R. She was there for every need and was super bubbly and friendly. Thank you so much for the lovely night! Can not wait to eat there again!
Went for meal with work friends. Food was lovley. My Salmon meal was most fresh and cooked how I like it. Will be going there again. Waitress was helpful and lovley thankyou. Good chef!
Bit of a wait for our meals. Husband's chicken was a bit dry, other meals good. Desserts great. Pleasant staff. First meal out since easing of restrictions. Tables well spaced out. Overall good evening.
Was a little busy when we arrived . Got seated drinks ordered and arrived . Placed orders. The starters took around 20 minutes to arrive. All was ok apart from the potato skins which were tasty but warm . Didn't complain as didn't fancy waiting another 20 minutes for a replacement. The main course was very nice. Overall we all enjoyed our meals. Would be happy returning here.
Great service. Had the steak sampler which was lovely and the girlfriend loved the cannelloni. Calamari starte was one of the nicest ive had. Refillable zero sugar drinks too. Dessert menu has vegan ice cream which is always a bonus
I ordered the Vegan burger (I’m not vegan but it sounded right up my street), and changed the chips to the triple fried unlimited ones.
Both were lovely, only criticism I have, is that when we ordered more chips (half way through the meal, and we had to go and find someone to ask), they took so long to come out that I had finished my meal by the time they came.
Also to note, we didn’t get service checked throughout the meal. The restaurant wasn’t particularly busy so could have easily have been achieved with the amount of staff that were on.
That being said, it would t put me off going again as the food was really nice.
The coke is refillable but it was very very watered down. (Not the staffs fault). Staff were lovely and the food was very nice. However; we were seated at the corner so getting the staffs attention was pretty difficult and they didn't really look in our direction at all.
Kat, our server, was very attentive and polite. We liked our food and the fact they have gammon is a bonus as not many places have it on their menu these days we find. I do not often review restraunts but the polite service makes it for me.
The food is always great here but the place was pretty empty yet we still had a decent 45 minute wait for our food to arrive. (Only 2 of us at the table).
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Had quite a long wait for the food to arrive. My daughter and I had to return our meals as our tandoori chicken burgers were burnt to a crisp. This was changed promptly and the next plate of foo was good.
Visit today at 2pm pre booked table as it was a birthday meal for two...Ordered Starters Steaks and Desserts... Best steak ever tasted cooked to my liking and the rest of the foodstuffs just followed in excellence... Staff attentive and polite... A very pleasant experience... Will return without a doubt... 👍😘
Fabulous tasty food. Clean tidy environment. Super friendly helpful staff. Great parking .
We visit this venue every couple of months or so. During lunch the eatery is quite empty, but late afternoon and evening it gets busy. The food is always a consistently good standard. The menu has been reduced to what it used to be, but still a choice of grills, pub favourites and vegetarian dishes. Friendly staff and value for money keeps drawing us back.
Fairly Quiet - Great Price and Kids eat free.. come here every couple of weeks for breakfast just to get a change of scenery and eat the unlimited continental!!
I was met with a warm welcome and shown to a table where Nina took over my service, she was very bubbly and friendly. The food was great I enjoyed the new flame grilled combo and will not leave it so long before I visit a beefeater again.
Both me and my family are frequent visitors here and always have a very pleasant experience. We booked up for Christmas lunch this year and had a wonderful time. The food is always fantastic and the staff are always happy and go out of their way to make the occasion a memorable one.
Nice staff nice food, do a good steak
Very nice and comfortable environment with very attentive staff. Buffet style 'continental' breakfast with cereals, cakes, fruit and toast etc. rather than cheeses and cold meat selections with the option of fully cooked breakfast to order. Vegetarian items available. Only 1 star removed for the presentation of the fried eggs, which looked hurried. Mine were cooked hard and thrown on the plate, and my friend's was a little watery and underdog, but they liked it that way fortunately. Decent baked beans too, not cheap wet ones. I'd be happy to come back here again!
Not my favourite place over the years had terrible meals and service. Just to advise everyone who goes there register your car plate number inside first. The first irritation we had no one on the reception to welcome you had to wait! Not good! The meals were ok this time nice young lad serving us.
I came to the beef eater with my family for my 25th Birthday and it was exceptional service; the food was great and our server was very professional and attentive throughout our time there even though the drinks were not coming out as quick as they should have. I gave our server a piece of my birthday cake to say thank you for looking after us :)
Good breakfast plenty of choice nice relaxed atmosphere lovely way to start a sunday
We booked a table for the 27th December although a few tables were occupied, only saw two members of staff who had to work really hard. They had run out of the wine we requested, also the fillet steak was off the menu? We waited 50 minutes for our meal which in our opinion was VERY small for the price, the rump steak arrived with very few chips and the lamb was served in a soup bowl with a spoonful of spinach and an even smaller portion of dauphinoise potato's. The staff were extremely polite and very helpful but unfortunately the meal or lack of it! Let the beefeater chain down.
Lovely place, however, chose off the lunch menu, a chicken salad, I didn't feel there was much at all for the money. I still felt very hungry when I left. I never feel like that when I have off the normal menu. So maybe not good value?
we went for the breakfast, KIDS EAT FREE, so if you have under 16s this can be a fantastic deal, there's a choice between cooked and continental or just the continental breakfast.
The cooked food is prepared fresh and has a huge choice from 5 different types of eggs to black pudding and they have vegetarian sausages.
The Continental breakfast includes fruit (fresh & dried) a range of cereals and pastries.
coffee teas and fruit juices (including a breakfast smoothie) are also included.
and IT'S ALL YOU CAN EAT !!!!!!!!!!
the full breakfast is priced at £9.50 and if you just have the continental it's £7.50.
I think it's well worth the price especially if you have some undet 16s (who eat free) in your party.
Breakfast is great value. For an adult eating 2 children under 16 eat free! Superb and you just tell the servers what you want and they will get it. Doesn't matter how many of each item!
Can't complain. Good service. Great tasting food. Had the meal off the 10 for a 5r menu. Very good quality!
Had 100th birthday party here for family member, the food service and facilities were excellent. The room was perfect for seating and dining and service was first class. Good disabled access and facilities.
Went in for breakfast 9.99 eat as much or as little as you want great choice unlimited soft drinks tea and coffee continentle aswell 👍
Great food and great customer service. Was so polite and when we were leaving the manager gave my 14 month old son a balloon. Will come back again and recommend to all
Great menu. Service and staff great. Second time visit. Would definitely recommend
Food was absolutely amazing. Staff were friendly and quick service. Would recommend coming here 👍
The service from the staff and the food were very good, however for the last three visits there has been no draught beer available or only the choice of one on this occasion, or bottled beer. Very disappointed.
Great food, super friendly staff and a vibrant atmosphere! Was a fantastic meal and we will be returning!
Very nice food and very nice staff the lady was lovely food didnt really take that long either only criticism was food under the table on the floor when we were seated however they cleaned it up after we asked .
Lovely meal out with old work colleagues. Our waitress Cat was fab and very helpful.
Fillet steak rare to medium was cooked to.perfection but cauliflower cheese tarlet tasted very powdery. Fillet nearly £20 cauliflower cheese tartlet nearly £11.. Visited on Friday and the place was practically empty at 12.30 which probably suggests the food is not good value for monday. Won't be eating here again!
We celebrated our 56th wedding anniversary at The Kingswinford this weekend the staff were very efficient the meals for our party of 15 came to the table together all piping hot and of good quality from the varied menu..Thank You
Great food, polite attentive staff and comfortable surroundings.
breakfast was lovely all fresh cooked
bit of a let down with tropical juice
Always lovely there. Great food and service x
Sunday lunch is lovely and the staff are helpful, sometimes there seems like more staff may be needed for the amount of customers as at busy times we have to wait a bit longer for plates to be cleared but the staff that are on are friendly and apologetic for any waiting
Staff very friendly, food is hot when arrives, does take a bit of time if busy. Also phone signal is brilliant
Attended a wake so no experience of normal meals but the buffet they provided was great and plenty of it.
food quality was loverly refill drinks were watery tasted more water than flavour 1 bar member 1 waiter for service for a packed full of customers causing servere delays poor quailty of service
Lovely evening with friends for my birthday. Food lovely and our waitress Nina was very good.
Go here often for bar food and a pint. The few times I have sat for a meal has been quick service and a friendly atmosphere
Nice food and pleasant hard working staff. Yummy chips, and they're refillable!
Lovely meal and atmosphere

We spent the weekend at the Premier Inn /Beefeater.
Very pleased with our stay and food. Stayed for lunch after and took the family we had gone to visit. Hannah. R was very busy juggling alot so unfortunately we had to wait a little longer than I'd have redeemed exceptable.
