I was looking for something new and different, and Friends of Food is absolutely something different. It is not your usual burger and sides but unique tastes and flavors 100% plant-based. Whoever is running the shop is paying attention to the details, and you can understand this from the packaging and presentation. Apart from that is eco-friendly in my case; they didn’t close completely the potatoes packaging to avoid them becoming soggy. But now is time for the food review. The potatoes are so damn crispy that I cannot understand how they make them. I ordered the Poutine, but I ended eating them without the homemade gravy sauce. Mac n Cheez is revolutionary very unique flavor combination of onion and bacon. The signature burger OMG. So fresh and tasty and in excellent condition within the packaging. The taste combinations are not for everyone but are not like anything else you had until today. My only negative comment is that they are far away from the city center where I live, resulting in extra charges in Uber Eats. I hope that soon will open in the city center maintaining the same quality.

Food quality is consistent, the chips have definitely improved, and I have been a customer since it opened. I am happy to support a small business. On the downside, the size of the burger has greatly reduced, which is disappointing, considering the price of one burger. If you bought a burger by itself, I think you might feel a bit cheated out of a proper serving. Otherwise, it would have been 5 stars

Fantastic food, TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. The burgers are great (though a bit pricey), the mac 'n' cheese is delicious, I liked the old weird chips, but the new ones are yum! Unfortunately they're quite unreliable. We *try* to order their burgers weekly (it's our weekend treat) - key word being try, because they're often unavailable and quite simply unreachable. There's no phone number to reach out to, their social media presence is meager, they don't reply to messages anywhere and they often don't even open when they say they will (like yesterday and today). It's a real shame...

Burgers are tasty. Would be nice if they offered some variations on just 'plain fries' and maybe a few more sides. Slightly on the expensive side for a burger but just about right for vegan food.

Loved this place. Will definitely be a returning customer. The burgers are excellent and filling. Also the Mac n cheese is one of the better vegan Mac n cheeses I have had! 4 stars for the reason that the chips really need some work. I have no idea what they were- they were hard and burnt and just strange! Please improve your chips and 5 stars all the way!

Ordered on just eat for the first time. I ordered the bbq whiskey style burger and garlic and herb ranch. Both of which were very nice but I was a little shocked when the food came as I assumed for the £9.50 I would get fries with my burger but I didn't personally this price is way too steep for just a burger. The food was very nice and well cooked but I won't be ordering again for that price. Way too expensive.

The best vegan burger I've ever had. I've had my share! The beyond meat patty is so juicy (I've had it served elsewhere and it can be a little dry) and it had me second guessing if it was veg. Got the Signature and it's the most unreal mimic to a classic American burger. Love the fries buuuuuut just was a little like the scrappy bits. Do it, you won't regret it.

Vegan Mac n cheez is unreal ! Portion could be a little bigger but it’s soooo good!! Will defo order from here again! 10/10

I'm not a vegan but I do eat vegan alternatives if the option is there. These burgers are by far the best vegan burgers I've ever had, and better than most meat burgers too. They're definitely at the top end of my price range at just under a tenner each (fries not included) but worth it for a treat. My only criticism would be the fries. Seemed to have got the last of the batch as they were mostly a bit small and scrappy, good portion size though. I'd still give them 5/5 despite this

By far the best veggie/vegan burger I have ever had. I stopped eating and nearly sent it back the first time I had it as I was convinced it was meat! Portions are generous and the food is delicious. No more dry rubbery meat free burgers for me!

WARNING! These burgers are addictive! Beyond meat is better than real beef and not because of the guilt-free aspect, because it's the absolute best. 4 out of 5 stars because I want real chunky chips not skin on crispy scraps, change the chips and it would be the perfect vegan meal.

Recommended by a work colleague to try had been struggling to find a decent vegan outlet for my mother up from London. Long story short bought meals for 4 people variety across Shroom Burg and the Signature Burgers , the Kimchi and the Mac Cheez , and my new all time favourite the Cauli Bites .... Hands down the best burgers we have had, quality fresh ingredients and tasty . This my new takeaway outlet , mother quite sad its not a chain and available down South. Not sure now if her trips up North will be for me or for another taste of Friends of Food. Highly recommed this place whether your vegan or not. You will not be disappointed.

Burger was amazing! I first had the wrong order delivered and because there isn’t a phone number to contact the shop, I had to do it all through Uber Eats which took forever! The correct order then came as I was on the phone to a customer assistant. The driver then told us to keep the wrong order, but there was far too much we couldn’t even attempt it. Having a phone number could have made it easier for me to instantly call when I realised the order was wrong and save that much food going to waste!!! Please provide a number!!!

It's so nice to see a place that does vegan food so well. The burgers are fantastic, the chips delicious, and the accoutrements are amazing. My personal favourite would be the cauliflower wings that are so good, I offered some to my omnivorous friends and they declared them better than chicken wings. Can't say fairer than that I reckon.

I am one of those tortured souls who is a (mostly) vegan but I still crave meat! This place is a godsend because the food is super realistic but all plant based! Full meat rush without the environmental catastrophe! One thing I would say is I personally prefer more traditional French fries, but the rustic style are nice :) Nice tunes too

Since their opening I've paid countless visits to Friends of Food and tried (almost) everything on the menu, at this point I'm convinced these boys are unable to put a foot wrong. The food is unique and inventive with the mushroom burger, cauli wings, and mac and cheese being personal favourites. Excellent service, perfect location, looking forward to many more visits in the future!

First off the guys were really friendly and then we got the food and... WOW! I'm a full on carnivore and was thoroughly satisfied and impressed. We had the bhaji and shroom burger, both very different but extremely tasty with great flavours and textures. The cauli bites and mac and cheese shook my carnivorous beliefs! Delicious! We're drinking over the road at Coffee on the Crescent and this feels like a match made in heaven! Highley recommended from a meat eater and an established veggie.

I had an otley run tonight and the typical place to get food is Krispys however being a veggie krispys isn’t the best place for me. Instead I went to friends with food. The food, although being a couple of quid more expensive, was to die for. Great food and charming service.
