Lovely service from Karen ! Definitely made an enjoyable visit. Ambiance and jazz music made for lovely atmosphere. Cool Theme of pub, railway . well furnished, comfortable seating Nice selection of food at a good price Definitely visit again. Had 2 pies, delicious and homemade with very generous amount of meat, 1pie could have fed 2 people!

Food outstanding and definitely value for money, you will never walk out of here hungry. The mix grills are huge, my husband and son had one and neither could finish. I had a lunch time light bite of bbq smothered chicken which was the size of a normal meal from anywhere else and defo no light night , again value for money. Staff really really nice, attentive and.made you feel very welcome. Will defo be back.

It has a local sort of feel to it. People nearby are relaxed enough to exchange a few words. The decor is improving. Even though there was a disco going on a couple of rooms away, the music wasn't intrusive. The food was well presented and tasted great!

Was good food, large size of mushy peas, get overpowering, can't see anybody eating that much, the other portions was ok, a bit expensive . Was going to get mixed grill and it probably would have been nice but at I think over £20.00 was a bit rich for lunchtime menu. When you can get sufficient at other places for less. Would go again. My brother goes there often.

Popped in late on Sunday, the food had finished but the team were accommodating and let us have a Sunday roast which was amazing, the most delicious Turkey roast I have tasted in a long time. Great service with a smile and very warm and welcoming now the fab refurb has completed. 10 out of 10

Went today for drinks and we had a starter each and my niece had a kids meal .. consisting of 1 sausage chips and beans cost £5 which I think is very steep and then charged extra for a kids drink to. Beers is good price though and service was good .

Excellent food - lovely service We had a lovely meal. We had main meals and they were excellent quality, cooked to our choice and very tasty with generous portions. The pub can get a bit noisy as there are few partitions between tables. Very good value. We will definitely go again.

Very good quality food and service. Staff are fabulous and a good menu that isn't to big or to small. Options of a saver menu bit still provides you with a good sized meal. Very well worth the visit. The only thing I found was I was waiting a little longer than I would of liked for my meal but quality is worth the wait. Definitely going back

Enjoyed a lovely Sunday dinner today at the buffers. First time here for me, though my husband has been before. Staff was so friendly and welcoming on our arrival. I ordered Pork loin Sunday dinner with trimmings and my husband ordered beef Sunday dinner. The food was delicious with gravy to die for and a homemade yorkshire pudding. We requested more gravy and the staff brought us a large helping 😋. I will definitely be returning. The staff are very attentive and polite. Prices are affordable and reasonable. Thankyou for a lovely Sunday lunch to the buffers, I will be telling my Friends and family about this little hidden gem.

Went in again on Tuesday 20th June with my wife, our fourth visit. Once again an excellent meal, cooked to order and of good quality. The atmosphere is great and the staff are friendly and attentive, what more could a customer ask for ? I have just booked for lunch this coming Sunday.

Forget Chain resturants... They produce the same old slop, never hot and poor service. The Buffers is completely different. EXCELLENT food, fantastic service and lovely setting. We have now been here on three occasions and on every occasion we have had a fantastic meal. We got so fed up of going to chain restuarants and paying for cold awful food and getting poor service. If in any doubt then please don't. Give this place a try and you will return. Thanks goes to the young guy on Tuesday night just gone for the fantastic service. Sorry I didn't catch your name. We will return that's for sure. Keep up the good work.

No sign of the original train carriage, but still a nice pub off the main roads. Food very good. Has a quiz night and does a Sunday lunch. Does light bites and snacks at lunch time and has a room for private functions. There is also a outside seating area.

Great family pub very friendly, lovely food and great service. Friday nights are a good laugh as karaoke is on from 9pm. The Kj/Dj is lovely. New faces and singers are always made to feel welcome. The venue is also available for private parties/functions and buffet optional. Would recommend a visit for good food and good beer...👍

We come here often for the Lovely home cooked food with very generous portions can never eat it all, my only criticism was the Diane sauce was a little watery but that could have been down to me ordering it a little while after we ordered our meal all in all we will be back.

Had Sunday lunch on1st March and was a bit disappointed Always been a big fan and regular diner at the buffers but the roast beef wasn't home cooked like the previous management more like catering beef from a packet

Took a busload of over 60's for lunch, they all really enjoyed the food, it wouldn't be on the top of my list for food, place could do with a face lift decor is a bit dated and they need a chef rather than a cook
