It was my first time I come to Chikanos in Leicester, I ordered a Peri Peri Grilled burger meal, I must say that the taste of the burger was nice and tasty. The Staff were friendly and given me a great customer service. 😊

We had the Mediterranean salad, which was absolute delicious! Great flavour, healthy and fillings. Also had the butterfly chicken, which looked super colourful and tasted great too but the peri peri flavour was on the spicier side so caution if you’re sensitive to spicy food, I’d suggest choosing a different favour. Overall, really satisfied with the food and service and will definitely visit again.

Edited on 10.08.20201. Chickanos reached out to me in regards to my previous review. Their customer service was impeccable. We went back and visited again today (above date @ 6:00pm) I'm actually lost for words!! The place was immaculately clean. The perfect calm atmosphere (had my 4 excited children with me). It wasn't too busy. We ordered, and food was served fresh and hot withing 10-12mins. Brilliant Experience, Delicious Fresh Food and a clean, calm environment. The staff really made the kids happy, with lollipops as we left!! 😊 You've won us over Chickanos!! Thank You for everything today, look forward to coming back very very soon!! ☺️ I went here today. At 6:40pm to be exact. Gave my order in at 7:15pm, waited for over an hour for my food (6 of us in tow, 4 kids, youngest 4 oldest 11 - it was horrendous waiting with hungry kids) Now, I fully understand that we are in a pandemic and we are currently all eating out to help out between Mon-Wed. But the whole service was totally disoriented and under staffed, food was definitely not worth a nearly 2 hour wait. Online orders were being served alot faster then then people in the queue that was trailing out the door. I have been to chickanos before, this was before the pandemic and it was a lovely experience, service and food was on point. I think it might be easier to head over for lunch rather then dinner. But I'll definitely be waiting a while before I head out for a meal again.

I wanted to try something else in Leicester & I come across Chickanos... the grilled chicken was amazing but the rice was nothing special. This is something for a quick bite (becareful of the waiting time, you have to wait a while) other than that food is really good.

It was my first visit to Chickano’s and the first thing I noticed walking in was how clean and well maintained it looked. A lot of fast food places don’t have the best standards so it was a pleasant surprise. As I approached the counter I was immediately greeted with a extremely friendly member of staff (Yunus) who took his time to talk me through some of the menu. I ordered a 6 piece chicken strips bucket and a Manhattan Melt meal. I was given a choice of straight or curly fries (again, a pleasant surprise). Once I had placed my order I was given a device to let me know when to collect from the counter. As I waited I noticed how the tables were being cleaned thoroughly by Yunus once customers had left which the new customer arriving were pleased with. My meal itself was absolutely delightful! Perfect balance of saltiness and crispness of the strips AND the burger. The curly (twisted) fries were also perfectly cooked and the sauces provided (garlic mayo and chilli) tasted fresh and full of flavour. All in all I found the whole experience out of this world, which is not easily said when talking about a fried chicken shop. I would even go as far as saying it was better than KFC. Big thanks to Yunus! I will 100% be going regularly now.

Came here for afternoon lunch, the food was really nice and tasty however the waiting time is terrible. Waited roughly around 45 mins for 2 burger meals. It wasnt that busy at all so surprised it took that long.

Brilliant service by the staff and food was very tasty. We had an issue with the popcorn chicken today but they immediately replaced without any fuss. We also had two kids but ordered one meal, as they cannot finish one meal each, they even have an additional toy! Finally, a rude person walked in and threatened a member of their staff whilst we were there, over parking which is out of Chickanos' control. A quality chicken restaurant. Mexican burger was absolutely top tier, chicken was good quality and succulent, batter was crispy but not too greasy and had a nice spicy kick. Fries were fresh and crispy and sauce was included with the meal. My friend had the fried chicken pieces and they were perfectly cooked and fresh too. We sat inside and were well looked after by the staff who were very efficient and attentive. A couple of £ more expensive than Burger King or KFC but 100% worth it for the great quality and freshness of the food.

I started my journey with Chickanos an year ago and I am still not bored. The burgers are juicy as the way I like it. The menu is perfectly set for the choice of fillings with the bun(floured/seeded/Brioche/gourmet).If you are a fan of flavours in a burger, this is the place for you. In every bite you will get the taste of flavour(Peri/buffalo ranch/ with a sound of "ummm". I strongly recommend trying their burgers/wraps. The chicken salad, I found it a little dry for my taste.

Drove up from Essex to Leicester on Friday night to visit family for the weekend. Arrived around 8pm. Too tired to go out for dinner. Popped open Uber Eats and Chickanos was there staring back at me. Took a punt on it being good. Was not disappointed at all. Food was hot, tasty and fresh. Latino chilli wings were zingy! Bad boy bites were flavourful and mini fillets just on point. Value for money too. Delivery was quick and friendly. For what we had I would highly recommend this place - there’s lots more on the menu for our next visit!

I ordered in the restaurant, waiting time was 18mins. It felt as though deliveries were getting prioritised. Someone else came before me and understandibly started to get frustrated. Generally really nice flavour but quality of food is not high and this is evident. Ordered a big stack burger. The burger tasted good but the meat wasn't the best quality (there were bits of cartilage in it) Chips were really delicious! Chilli cheesy bites tastes nice but were not cheesy, more doughy and no strings of cheese that I expected. Chicken strips were crispy and well flavoured but ever so slightly dry. Would only order chicken items from here and preferably Eat right away. Edit: I'm stating the obvious but it's a fast food restaurants called chickanos 🤷🏽‍♀️

Love, love, love. I mean the food! Service wise it’s a regular fast food place therefore you don’t get the waiter or waitress serving you food at your tables however the atmosphere feels nothing like a fast food place but rather pleasant and quiet so you can enjoy your food there if you eat in. I find the prices a little high but the quality is there so it’s balances it out. Also waiting for your order isn’t so bad but lately it has been quite busy especially Fridays and Saturdays. I totally recommend it. They have healthy choices there.

Food took a while but thts coz they were really busy but staff were great at the till at informing us honestly how long it would take. I didnt give this place 5 stars for 1 reason. I felt like if I was going to catch caronavirus it would be from this place. No social distancing. Tables were crammed together. The queueing area runs in the middle of the store with tables on either side of the queue so there are people literally breathing over u while ur sat eating on those tables. Staff didn't wear masks or shields like other places I've been to. So just based on tht I give this place 4 stars. Otherwise outside of the covid19 context ide likely give it 5 stars

Regularly use Chickanos Leicester for my tango ice blast fix (sugar free serving here), amazing buttermilk popcorn chicken, mozeralla dippers and curly fries all recommend!Have been using them more since lockdown! Usually great service and quick delivery to go along with the brilliantly priced food offering! Last order I placed we had a mix up with the items on the delivery, upon contacting Chickanos Leicester and explaining the issue with the order, the guy (unsure of name) wrote my name down and a comment down! Have done a new order for delivery today and upon contacting them they were more than happy to deliver this alongside with my original order! Received the new order and to my surprise not only had they fixed the old order issue with replacement but even gave a multiple offering such as extra items as a gesture of goodwill! What a company! Will continue to use Chickanos Leicester for my ice blast fix!

Good food let down by poor customer service and hygiene. This was our second order in a row that had missing items. Let it go on first occasion but called to report this time as I expect full order for the price they charge for items. Missing fries this time when delivered by Uber Eats. Called to report and was told they would not be sending anymore out to us despite them being on the receipt. Asked how this was allowed as someone now has an incomplete meal but they weren't concerned and said they had no drivers. Started to eat food and one burger contained a short black hair in the middle - disgusting. Food is good but too many problems they are happy to sweep under the carpet. Will probably avoid from now on.

The onion rings were a bit underwhelming, but it's something that can be looked past. Tasty burgers and only £1.00 extra to make it into a meal inc drink and fries. Service was good but did not receive any sauces or tissues so had to ask twice at the counter. Apart from that the food was really nice especially the buffalo ranch wrap and burger. Just Eat are a waste off space, completely let the restaurant down in that they did not arrange a driver to deliver our food, we collected ourselves in the end. The first time I had it, was during their grand opening. And it took me 50 mins to get a burger, the burger wasn't even that great. However I gave it a month later and had the Mexicano and I really liked it. However it tasted like a glorified Maryland's. But take it how you want it.

Just wanted to say went chickanos yesterday with the family, must say had a lovely experience. The food was on point and fresh and service was second to none. Great food, Great quality and great service. Being a new place i prolonged this review till my third visit before deciding, yes, Chikanos is just awesome. Consistency a key factor for places like Chickanos and they have put a smile on my face on each visit. Mexicano Burger, Manhatten Melt, Buffalo Ranch and the Tex Mex salad Sublime. And don't forget to grab a Tango Blast. Just what Leicester needs.

Having had food from their dewsbury outlet on many occasions i am glad to say the taste of the mexicano burger from their leicester branch is absolutely the same. A bit more of the tangy sauce wouldn't have gone amiss and in my opinion is what makes this burger really stand out from the crowd. Would recommend this place if you are fed up with the usual bland tasteless 99p burger and chips type fastfood joints that is sadly so common. If this place raises the taste levels and help in raising the standard of established takeaways then all is good. Welcome to Leicester chickanos at least now we have a tasty alternative.
