A. C.I am staying at a near by hotel. Thought I would try the Merchant of Venice out for lunch. I had the pesto and a hot chocolate both are yum. The best thing about this cafe though is the atmospheric decoration I love it.

K.Came in for a quick coffee before off to the Y theatre with the wife, and the service was excellent the restaurant/cafe was spotless, the staff were very polite and the soya latte was lovely, only fault was that none of the very yummy looking cakes were dairy free/vegan. But apart from that would highly recommend

m.As soon as you leave the train station, come here. Such a warm welcome and beautiful cafe (think steam punk Shakespeare). I inquired about the Shakespeare romantic tea, which is a tea with a flower which blooms within it. I went for an ice coffee, which was mixed expertly in a cocktail shaker and served in a martini glass. I never felt so fancy.

J. D.First visit to this Cafe attending show a Y theatre. Staff were so friendly and the ambiance of the place was superb. Only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the mains in choice. The menu online wasn’t clear as was a customer photo. It was Pasta or Lasagne. Starters and Suites good choice but mains was kindred.The lasagna I had was a great portion ant top quality as was Anti Pasta and naughty but nice desserts and coffee! Staff the best! X

R. M.I visited twice in one week and the décor is very nice, gives a welcoming feeling and an overall rustic look.
The various drinks were very good including the coffee and other drinks are available. As for the food, it was deliciously fresh, felt very much like an authentic italian restaurant down to how it was presented on the plate.
The staff were welcoming and helpful on both occasions.
There was a good amount of indoor seating and outdoor seating, the outdoor seating is close to a main road but doesn't feel like it takes away from the time you spend here.

The themed decor is a bit hit or miss (some of the steampunk inspired elements are a bit odd), but I'd rather too much effort than none at all! Trendy crowd, and very convenient for the train station.

The place looks great and certainly stands out from the homogeneous, generic shops that cover the city centre while the food (Venetian breakfast and halloumi/pomegranate salad) was tasty and filling. Only had an espresso but it was decent enough but I'll be back to give more of the menu and the coffee a try.

It makes the over-the-top decor look blend;-) Yummy spaghetti vongole, which is one of my favourite dishes, and the pastry is divine. Two of the reasons it's so good, is because every part is done well, and because it's not too sweet. A tart does not have to be sickly sweet to be very very tasty. And of course... really good coffee!! This is my (our) recommendation for Leicester, whether for a coffee with pistachio tart, or a tasty meal as it should be, or even a vegan breakfast... this is the place. Six stars.

G. R. M.(Translated) This is one of my favorite places in Leicester. They offer a great variety of breakfasts and meals. Two days ago I came at night and had a spectacular dinner, a warm atmosphere in the light of the perfect lighting for dinner, that is why I have returned once more for breakfast.
They also offer a great variety of desserts. Canolo Siciliano is one of those that you should not stop trying.
It is a place that I would recommend especially for the service and quality of the food.

Éste es uno de mis lugares favoritos en Leicester. Ofrecen una gran variedad de desayunos y comidas. Hace dos días vine en la noche y tuve una cena espectacular, un ambiente cálido a la luz de la perfecta iluminación para cenar, es por ello que he regresado una vez mas para desayunar.
Además brindan una gran variedad de postres. Canolo Siciliano es uno de los que no deberia dejar de probar.
Es un lugar qué recomendaría especialmente por el servicio y la calidad de la comida.
