I have used this chipy for years now and recently it has been bought by new owners and they are very nice friendly people and freshly cooked food while you wait but during busy times the waiting time can be quite long

I moved out of Shilton in 1999 and Pisces was the local chippy. I grew up on Melton Street. After buying a bike during my midlife crisis at 37 😂 I stopped here tonight like the good old days for a bit of grub whilst out on the bike. So much nostalgia, you can't moan at all. So friendly and literally the same faces from the 90's. You could be there talking for hours. OK the portions are smaller than some places, however for me I wanted battered sausage chips and beans. That portion got me just to the right point. Normally I'll just overeat and feel rubbish, whereas tonight I just felt full. Didn't need more. Chips were perfect, I waited a couple of minutes for them but worth it. Always a good sign when you wait for fresh ones. This has surely got to be the best old school chippy around. They do what they do and do it well. No kebabs and burgers, that dilutes the quality, it is what it is. A good honest old school chippy. A hidden gem. Get down there. 5 out of 5 five from me 22 years since I moved away 😎😎😎

Previously my favourite fish n chips in Earl Shilton. New owners are trying their best. Fish batter was crispy but timing was out with chips and they ideally needed an extra minute too. Always freshly cooked too - which makes it stand out. Will try again as even with these issues it’s stil better than the others.
