Went to the Dove ....beautifully refurbished and under new management. Had Sunday lunch which was excellent top quality! Staff very friendly....lovely atmosphere. Thanks Alex and Leah we loved the food. Definitely recommend it. See you again!

Lovely pub and restaurant where the staff are welcoming and ambience is super nice. We celebrated our nieces birthday with some drinks and excellent food. Everybody loved it there. They had run out of waffles but that gives us an excuse to return for their desserts , also we were all too full from the generous main's sizes. Defo worth visting which I will be doing again very soon for their Sunday roast...yummy.

We found The Dove during lockdown and can honestly say the food is bloody lovely! So good. I used to always have the fish n chips (amazing!) And my favourite is a Sunday roast, but I'm pretty particular about my fave food. Safe to say, after the first visit we were very impressed and have since been back a few times. The staff and manager are always so lovely and welcoming and we are so glad we found this place. 5 stars for sure.♡

Beautiful dining area at the back of the pub in a glass conservatory. Staff very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, very tasty and was cooked with attention to detail. Would definitely recommend dining here to friends and family.

We had the pleasure of celebrating a friends Anniversary Meal yesterday , I can't recommend the Dove Pub enough the food was amazing we both had the arancini balls for starters along with the Terriaki Salmon and Hubby having the duck for our Main. Not only did the staff get all the food out to approx 80 people on time they were very attentive and lovely Thank you so much x

The food was Beautiful. I had the Lamb Shank and it was clean off the bone tender. Amazing flavours. Wife had the Chicken Burger with Crispy Bacon and it was again Amazing! The Service was brilliant and Alex, Leah and Millir was very Nice and made the whole experience that much better. Will definitely be visiting again and soon.

Haven't been to the dove for a while but had heard by word of mouth that it had vastly improved and wasn't disappointed! Better selection of wine and the food was gorgeous, had the tandoori chicken flat bread which was delicious, couldn't fault it at all. The pickled onions were to die for! Might make it my new local.

Was a lovely scenery and service was good! Although I ordered a kids meal and my partner ordered a beef roast dinner and the plate was the same size as the child’s plate and the portion for the price wasn’t worth it! We have visited the Dove a few times now. we have always had an enjoyable experience. The food comes out well presented and tastes great. The restaurant is well presented and the staff and service is excellent.They give you time to make your choice from a good range dishes from the menu. I have seen people complain, but I noticed that this is when they have eaten a good portion of their food. This brings me to the conclusion that theese people go out to look for a complaint for a free or discounted meal.

The Dove is our go-to if we fancy a meal out. Reasonably priced, for food which is always delicious, we never fail to leave looking like a pair of Violet Beauregardes. Tonight, with the Covid measures in place we were greeted at the door and shown to our seats, greeted and served by the lovely young chap (I think called Michael) and enjoyed a wonderful meal as usual. Could not recommend enough! Thank you for a wonderful evening again!

Lovely pub! Good for all ages as me and my friend are under 20 and enjoy the relaxed but welcoming atmosphere. Jack is a very warm pub manager. The drinks aren't too pricey and the food is wonderful! Has a nice outside area with music playing in the background. I come here at least 3 times a week and do not get sick of the place.

I love The Dove! Wide menu, great prices and personable and quick service. Great range of spirits. The restaurant area is in a conservatory, which gives it a feeling of space and there really is something for everyone. It also has a wonderful, friendly atmosphere so it's relaxing. And there's a big car park.

Went for a meal for my fiancé's birthday, Service was excellent, The staff were very friendly, helpful and chatty which was nice. There was a lovely atmosphere about the place, The food was amazing I had a Sunday roast the meat was cooked beautifully nice and succulent the veg was done really well and the Yorkshire pudding was the best I've ever had!! I would definitely recommend The Dove, well worth a visit!!

Preordered meals for group of 12. Group arrived on time but still had to wait nearly half an hour for food to arrive at the table. Menu interesting and inexpensive plus changed every few months. Food was delicious and portions very generous. Will definitely be going there again!

A very good pub that also does some very good food too. Nice choice of drinks including a guest cider. A comfortable atmosphere that is both friendly and welcoming, nice broad church of people and opinions. The interior layout affords choice of being in the mix or a quiet corner. The staff are hard working and friendly under the guidance of John a veteran of successful pub service whose influence is subtle enough to be almost invisible. Good pubs need our support, its no hardship here.

First time here, a group of us having a meal celebrating a family birthday. It's quite a nice place, with decent friendly staff, but the food is a bit of a mixed bag... I had the Philly cheese steak burger, which if your familiar with Philly cheese steak you will know it's an American invention of finely sliced steak cooked on a griddle and served in a roll with a generous smothering of melted cheese or cheese sauce... This wasn't that, this was a good thick slice of steak, not sure of the cut, (maybe slow cooked then seared on the griddle?) Served in a toasted, slightly burnt brioche bun with tomato, lettuce and very little cheese, this is nothing like what the name suggests so the name should really be changed because this deserves to be called something more appropriate, the steak itself was surprisingly tender and quite tasty, the char-grilling is evident but a bit too burnt, char grilled meat is fantastic if done properly, but when you over do it the result can be a bitter burnt after taste which I had here, I still enjoyed this "steak sandwich" but it needed two things... Bit less of the over char, and really needs to be partnered with a good steak sauce. The Philly cheese steak was served with coleslaw (nice but the portion was too small) and skin on fries which were nice and just like the frozen McCain fries of the same name, my overall verdict is nice, but if you're going to charge £10.95 for this then you need to give it a bit of tlc... Don't burn it and partner it with an appropriate sauce, even if served in a pot on the side. My wife had the beef lasagna, which looked good, tasted good and was good, one of my daughter's had the mixed grill, which came missing a couple of items, the pork steak had deep char grill marks which tasted burnt and bitter (left too long on the grill, you need to turn meat frequently when char grilling over a high heat) the mixed grill looked good and my daughter said it was mostly good, A mate had the chicken and pawn thai curry, which he said was nice, but a bit tight on the portion control, They do two types of chips... Skin on fries (frozen) which are fine, and "gourmet" chips... Which are just fat chips, nothing special about those and not that good either. I like the menu at the Dove, it's a nice mix, but at the prices being charged they really do need to up their game a bit, more care with the char grilling, and swap out those average frozen chips for hand cut fresh chips.

Iv been in and out of the Dove for 30 years. The couple who run it now are friendly and really working hard to make it a locals pub. I have eaten on two consecutive nights and have to say the standard of food is been the best for a long time. I wish them both well on their adventure and efforts. If you keep up with serving great food with your friendly approach ,you will have a vibrant pub in no time .I'll be back.

Booked our meals so we were looking forward to having some good food.unfortunatly food wasnt hot so had to be sent back and if being totally honest the whole meal was a big disapointment .couple of boiled potatoes , veg ok but there was nothing special to say this was a xmas meal.Long wait for drinks when ordered. Table was laid out nicely and room looked lovely,.As always staff fab. And couldnt do enough for us , and the complaint was dealt with swiftly and efficiently.Just a shame food was bit ordinary for xmas menu..
