Really enjoyed our meal there yesterday evening. Our waitress, I think her name is Kyra, was superb. Food and drinks order taken quickly and plates cleared away swiftly too. After she asked if wanted any desserts or drinks she left us alone for a good ladies catch up. She could see that we were in full "putting the world to rights" mode so left us to it. There was never any pressure to order any more drinks or to leave the table. She popped by again a bit later to double check and we were ready for the bill at this time. She dealt with the discount code and was happy for us all to pay our individual amounts on our cards. Great evening with great food at a great price. What more can you ask for.

Great staff Lovely meal and great place to come with the family. If u are from LEICESTER or outside of LEICESTER I would highly recommend This to anyone. I had the fish and chips and beans very nice. Parking is good but as u go on make sure u put the reg in on there iPad. So that u won’t get change for parking. It’s not far from Fosse park shopping centre so if u whated to do a bit of shopping before going to the pub u could.

Went hear recently and found the place to be very clean and well run, while we did have to wait for our food slightly longer than expected the staff were very polite and happy to help. The food was very nice and enjoyable, however I have been to other venues where the portions sizes were a little bigger and slightly better value for money, which is very important in the current climate. The drinks price also seemed a touch high, for the size of glass they were served in. Otherwise a cracking little venue for a lighter lunch then you would get elsewhere.

6 family members had a main meal and desert last week. Whilst some of the dishes were enjoyable, others were not so good and very average quality for the prices. The staff seemed okay but not to attentive however the desert options were very limited. With that, most of us had some sort of crumble pie and custard which was not very good at all. It didn’t look very appetising and was like eating a mush apple pie with microwave custard. On a whole the place is average, you just need to make sure you pick the meals which can’t be messed up in the microwave!

First time here this evening for a family meal. Exceptional service from the moment we walked in to the moment we left. Food was fantastic and fairly priced. Staff very professional and catered to our every need. Highly recommend a visit.

Our table was booked 6pm on a Saturday - 4 adults & 2 children.The service started off a little slow, 3/4 hrs before we got our first course and with 6 & 9 year olds that's not brilliant. It picked up for a while and then got slow again. Don't normally expect to be 2 1/2 hours at a Beefeater. The food was good with the exception of the rack of ribs which were dry & overcooked and the service polite.

Clean and friendly. We had the continental breakfast, which was very good. We also used the bar in the evening. Very handy if you are staying at the Premier Inn. Plenty of parking spaces and the staff were very friendly. Very clean.

Pre lockdown we used to go to The Observatory every month or so for breakfast as a treat. We liked the buffet style cooked and continental options as it meant we can satisfy ourselves and the kids with what we wanted to eat. This was the first time we've been since lockdown restrictions have eased a little. When we went in, part of the restaurant not normally used for the breakfast service was closed off. A one way system has been implemented with stickers showing directional arrows on the floor to guide you around. It appears that a few tables have been removed to help with distancing, although the layout has a number of booths, some of which are blocked off currently. Screens are used in places where they can't otherwise enable distancing. Whereas it used to be a buffet, you now need to place an order with one of the servers. You can request additional items later if need be and our servers did come by regularly to check if we wanted anything else. Hot and cold drinks are still self-service, as is the toaster. Unfortunately, it appears the changes have reduced some of the options. For example, pancakes are not an option for the continental breakfast, and there was no fruit smoothie option with the juices. Our breakfast was still a pleasant experience but I do hope that once the current crisis is over that they revert to the buffet style.

Was great food! But when we booked our table we weren't informed that the restaurant was closing early for staff training on a Sunday night so we had to order and eat quickly which did affect the enjoyment a little bit.

Although small, this venue caters for only a few beer pong tables. As the night goes on crouds start building and the pressure to finish a game of pong increases. If there was more pong tables this would be a 5 star venue.

First time trying this place today and wow was I impressed! The burger I had was outstanding as were the chips on the side. Not to mention the treacle pudding desert with custard which also tasted amazing although I was so full towards the end! There is Also a bottomless drink option too which is a bonus! The staff all seem friendly and attentive, definitely a place I will be returning to!

Day1: Not bad at all, very friendly staff. I was provided with a meal deal addon during my hotel stay from work. The member of staff who served me happily explained it to be straight away. Took my order and 2mins later my drink was brought over to me. No complaints here. Day2: Same again... fast service and friendly, got a steak and chips today.. much better than the chicken and ribs i had yesterday.

All of there steaks are carefully sourced from farms that meet rigorous welfare standards, then aged for a minimum of 21 days to ensure every plateful is deliciously tender and packed with flavour. They know their journey every step of the way and when they get to their kitchens, their expert Academy trained chefs to treat every cut with the attention to quality it deserves - lightly seasoning and searing on our smoking hot chargrill for the perfect BBQ flavour. Served just the way people like it, every time.

We had a lovely cooked breakfast. It is usually buffet help yourself style but at the moment it is table service only - you order what you want from a menu and they bring it to you. All was delicious, lots of space, good service and the manager is helpful and friendly. It was so much having a breakfast cooked for is as it's been a long time! Kids get their breakfast free too which is great (1 free per adult I think) and there was plenty for our son to choose from - he recommends the scrambled egg.

Me and my parents went for dinner on 25th July 2021 at 5pm. It's the first time any of us had been. We had a lovely experience, the food was very good loved by all ..so thanks to the chef. Booked for an early dinner with the kids, our first post-lockdown meal out, and we loved it! The food was well cooked and tasty, the service was really good and it was great to be out again. There were a couple of teeny negatives that stopped a 5* review but they're not worth mentioning, all-in-all, it was excellent. I'm disabled and a wheelchair user. We'd pre-booked and had advised the Obs that I was coming so they allocated us a great table near the entrance and couldn't have been more helpful. Access is easy and disabled folk can book with confidence.

The BEST Beefeater we have ever been to!! From the service to the food, it was just superb. Myself and my Husband stayed in the Premier Inn across the road for 2 nights whilst visiting the Victory Show. Kyra and Anna were our waitresses for both our evening meals and they are an absolute credit to the Beefeater team. So polite, chatty and on the ball with our orders. The managers Dan and Dave were there for the evening meals and breakfast and again very polite and helpful. It's also nice to see 2 managers grafting and getting stuck in with their team. The food was just spot on! Fresh, no gristle, HOT and very well presented. Having dined in a few beefeaters we thought we knew what to expect. We honestly wouldn't have known we were dining in a Beefeater, my Husband said his Steak was better than a Steakhouse! The chefs done an amazing job. Having been a restaurant Manager myself for a few years, I would of been proud to have the team and standards that this restaurant have. This was a break for my Husbands birthday and this dining experience made it excellent. Thank you so much! We have already recommended this place to others.

3 of us had dinner here tonight. We felt really safe and comfortable with the cleanliness and one way system set up. We were taken to our table by Craig who was really attentive throughout our meal. Craig served us quickly and noticed when our drinks were running low and asked if we wanted another. Food was lovely, my Husband had the Mixed Grill which he said was one of the best he has had. Our Daughter opted for steak from the kids menu, this was her first time. Craig suggested to have it medium so that it wouldn't be tough for her and I'm glad he did ( I naturally would have said well done) she enjoyed it. We couldn't of asked for better service, he was such a lovely guy and our food was spot on. We ate here on a whim as we were passing from a day out and we were all glad we did. We will definately be back 😊

We came tonight for a birthday meal for my husband with two friends and were served by Donna she was brilliant and very friendly. The service was impeccable, one of our friends has an allergy and the manager came and helped make sure his meal was safe which was fantastic and very reassuring. The staff were super efficient and friendly and the food was amazing and the portions were great. The whole experience was impressive and seeing the manager stop and approach a younger member of staff and praise her efforts was so refreshing he really seemed to have a grip on his staff and the smooth running of the restaurant. My wife and I went for Lunch today at the Observatory. The food was really lovely, even though they have a reduced menu at the moment. Our waitress explained on our arrival that obviously things have changed since we last ate there. We were given a disposable menu which we disposed of when we left the restaurant. Our food came, and the waitress put the food that we'd ordered which was on a tray onto the table,and she asked us to take our food and cutlery off ourselves, we did the same for the drinks we had too. We felt very safe eating their today. We mentioned to the Manager Dave on our way out, that we had had a lovely meal and we did feel safe whilst we were their. We will definitely be going their to eat again very soon.

Love my local! We ordered the ribs and surf and turf. My food was delicious, ribs perfectly cooked and very tasty and slaw was yummy! Husband said his was also delicious and "the best calamari I've ever eaten". Chips triple cooked and not greasy at all "light mashed potato in a lovely crispy coat". The onion rings we're the same, light and crispy and not oily. Dessert was amazing!! Jenny was friendly but not hovering in our face, have us space to chill to have dessert when we were less full as we couldn't leave without having it lol. Everything served in great time too, long enough to be fresh food, but not so long that we were starving. The things in place for being covered for distancing were excellent and we felt very comfortable during dinner. Overall a lovely date night and glad we had a short walk home as we needed it after all the gorgeous food!!

Looks great when you walk in and waiting staff are brilliant. Food is only okay though, not what you’d expect for the prices. Biggest drawback was the toilets. One broken, the other with no toilet roll. Went to the disabled loo to grab some spare roll and that was disgusting. Dirty, smelly, leaky toilet. Back in the ladies and both taps leaked badly and the hand dryer was situated over a disgusting radiator. Overall not a great ‘clean’ experience. But the staff were lovely.

Good menu choices and attractive environment. We had dinner early on Sunday evening and I felt there were insufficient staff. The restaurant was by no means full but we had a 35 minute wait for our food orde. It was difficult to attract attention and desserts not offered so we didn't bother. The food was good however and we would visit again.

In the past, it has been hit and miss. Have been here 3 times recently and on the whole, it has been enjoyable. Just do not bother with the meringue pudding. Went there for a Xmas works party, really enjoyed it. Food was good, drinks a little pricey but free Pepsi max refills (handy for the driver). The Latvian waitress that looked after us was very good too and very professional and nice sense of humour too. All in all a good place to visit and nice surroundings. Check online for discount codes and vouchers too before you go.

Everything is fine about the place itself but I will not return as they use one of the predatory car parking firms to manage the car park and on principal I will not support this. A max stay of 3 hours at a casual dining restaurant/pub is OK but I'm not interested in feeling the slightest amount of stress if I want to go somewhere to relax, and I refuse to clock-watch, so I will always pick somewhere else when I have control over where to go, unless they remove the parking restrictions.

We love going here for the buffet breakfast, staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Kids eat for free (2 when one adult buys breakfast). Ample parking and usually well presented but it can get quite busy. If there is anything missing you can just ask the staff who are more than happy to help.

Gorgeous Sunday dinner, great value for money and lovely staff! Roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings were gorgeous and the lamb mouth watering! Wasn't a fan of the root vegetable mash but you can't win them all! Definitely one of our new favourite places, you'll see us again soon!

Popped in for a Christmas lunch with my office team. Service was fine, although many of the items on the menu were not available, some of which were only discovered after ordering. Food itself was 'ok' could have been better cooked, some bits we're undercooked and dessert was straight from a freezer. Have been on other occasions and had much better experiences, so hopefully this was a blip rather than a downward trend.

Service is solid, food is so so. We arrived on a busy Saturday evening without a reservation and they bent over backwards to get us a table. Two adults and a toddler so the obligatory children's menu came out. It actually had pretty good choices, not bad for a chain. I had a mixed grill, my partner had a chicken melt and our son sausage and mash with peas. My mixed grill was good - the rare steak being a highlight - except for the chicken which was so hard as to be inedible. My partner's chicken wasn't much better. The sausage and mash was good for being a kids portion. Overall, the food was fine but nothing special, service was good - brisk and positive.

It were my first time here with my family there were 11 of us all together celebrating my mother in laws birthday and wow what can i say amazing friendly staff very well mannered too. my son has food allergies and usaully i have to go with what the waiter/waitresses says that the food don't contain anythink my son is allergic to and usally im very wary of what my son is eating but at the observatory the waitress got the manager out to our table and he showed me a book with all what's on the menu with what it exactly had in each meal he then showed me that the meal and dessert my son wanted didn't show anythink he were allergic to so we went ahead and ordered them for him the manager brang his own knife and fork out so he didnt have the ones that were already on the table just incase they had something he were allergic to and i felt very confident that my son wasnt going to have an allergic reaction and he didnt becasuse i knew what exactly were in all the food he were eating. even my nearly 2 year old daughter were playing up a bit in the highchair and the waitress brought over some paper for my daugter to draw on to keep her entertained while she waits for here dinner, also The waitress also gave my daughter a small bowl of chips as she were getting hungry and a tad whingy waiting for her dinner which were lovely of her to do that as many other places ive been to have never done that all. The waitress even got the other kids that were with us to do a little competition to see who can make the best birthday card for their nannie and will win a little treat at the end and they all did well so she gave them a little treat. also everyone that were with us enjoyed all there drinks, meals and deserts, were an fantastic family meal out. Absloutly would recomend this place to people who have allergies or people who doesnt have allergies as they are so on top of everythink here, fantastic place to eat at and would definitely go there again. It was a weekday and we went around 7pm they said fully booked already so we got a seat at the pub side... (So many empty tables when we arrived, and still many empty ones when we left) We ordered food from the bar and it took them quite a while. The steak & unlimited chips - it was awful, so dry and thin, not much of beef taste. I was so disappointed as this place suppose to have good beef steak... I didn't even ask for more chips :( My friend ordered ribs which I think it taste ok~ Overall the atmosphere is good so I might give it one more try on other dishes.

We sat there initially but then realised we were going to be overlooked by the staff throughout the meal. Local to me - like to visit here and sit in the bar. Usually has a good atmosphere & busy on a Friday / Saturday evening. I find the food is overpriced for the quality & service could be vastly improved. Biggest issues are staff disappearing from behind the bar at quiet times & tables not being cleared when customers have finished / left.

A Beefeater in an attractive modern building that shares a car park with a Premier Inn. Usual Beefeater menu which has something for everybody. Their triple cooked chips are amazing! The Meridian Premiere Inn is less than a 20 second walk across the car park and has an evening meal/breakfast deal at the Beefeater for guests. Breakfast at the Beefeater starts at 6am and has full continental breakfast or a full English buffet breakfast.
