First experience and certainly will not be the last. Full scores for excellent food, the staff. The atmosphere was amazing. The background music was perfection. This hidden gem is out shining all their competitors. Loved the whole experience. The food was to die for.

I dropped in to the Windmill Inn for a quick audit of their wines and took my partner along, as we’d heard the food was good. Wednesday is the Pie or Pizza night and my partner ordered the Pepperoni Pizza and I had the Chicken, Garlic, Bacon and Dijon Pie. Both were absolutely fantastic and for both meals and a drink each it came to less than £35! Fantastic food, great atmosphere and incredibly friendly staff, would definitely recommend and visit again!

We ate here very much on a whim and they thankfully were able to accommodate our group. The venue is very country pub with a slight coastal vive. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The menu is split between pizzas and tapas with lots of options for vegetarians too. Our group of 8 enjoyed our meals and then retired to the beer garden to watch the sunset with pints in hand. Thanks to the Windmill for making our visit a pleasant and memorable one. We would definitely return if back up this way again.

Been here a few times in the last few months, we have to keep going back because it’s so so good! The food on the tapas feast menu is fantastic, the staff advised us on how many dishes to have when we first came and second time around even remembered what we’d ordered the time before! Great food and pleasant staff. My only negatives were cold plates and long delay clearing the table. Spanish style garlic prawns, weren't Spanish style they were tomato and garlic. I dare say that this type is also made in Spain, but not what was expected. Overall, I would definately go again.

Really nice tapas style food for the lunch menu, we felt a bit rushed as the food took a while to come and only had an hour for lunch. However, the food was was superb and staff were really friendly and helpful.

Good food and varied menu but took a long time between each dish coming. Was 3 minutes from one dinner to the last coming out. We also had to ask twice for vegetables to come and it felt as though they had been forgotten. The staff were all very pleasant.

Just had a very warm welcome and really delicious lunch here after finding this little gem of a pub via pub stopovers. Well worth a visit. Nothing too much trouble for the owners and staff. Food was delightful. Staff were very relaxed and amenable. We had drinks & ordered in the garden & they let us know when our starters were ready to eat indoors. The decor is very smart and clean. There was a lovely choice of drinks. Once it got busier around 8pm it was a little loud so we came home which was a shame as it would have been a lovely place to spend some time. The setting is also lovely with fields all around.

Dropped in on spec today for Sunday lunch with my wife and they were very accommodating even though very busy and 30 mins from closing service. Beautiful decor inside and great relaxed atmosphere. Staff were fabulously warm and welcoming. Our food was glorious! Probably the best Sunday lunch out I have ever had. Everything was cooked to perfection and everything tasted delicious. I can't recommend this place highly enough it's excellent. Our first experience at The Windmill but definitely not our last.

Amazing service, good options for allergies and the chefs are really helpful and accommodating. Nice selection of beers but the highlight is the amazing food. The 'tapas' menu which is asian inspired is lovely, generous portions and always leaves us full and satisfied. Need to try their pizza menu next time as they looked fantastic coming out of the kitchen.

FANTASTIC little country pub/restaurant, the staff and owners make you feel as one of the family, the food is delicious and i would highly recommend that if your anywhere in the area make a detour and treat yourselves.. we stayed over night in our camper van and went back the following day for sunday lunch it was worth the extra miles to go back on way home..

Friendly service, lovely atmosphere, but the vegetarian Sunday roast was a little disappointing. The meat was replaced with what seemed to be stir fried veg. A nutroast, mushroom wellington or similar would have been a better replacement for the meat.

Great selection of gins with some very interesting mixers. Loved the violet gin with Parma violet dusting around the edge of the glass and the rhubarb and ginger is delicious too. Nice atmosphere with tasteful decor and great quality food, especially the desserts.

Outstanding stonebaked, pizza 🍕. Warm and relaxed atmosphere with impecable service, great food and a good selection of beer and wine. I had, 2, pizza conaseurs - aged 7 & 9 . They absolutely loved the freshly made, stonebaked pizzas. The salami pizza is delicious as is the margherita, with a side of skinny fries.... it was perfect for them!

Fantastic food and very reasonable costs. Very well kept garden area and good car parking. The outside of the pub belies the main attraction inside. The owner served us and spent some time talking to us to explain their menus and events. Their website is very comprehensive and is very useful in deciding what is on offer. Mothers day outing, so was busy. But food came promptly and was well cooked. They do a variety of menus, so look on website. But generally looks like a varied selection. Atmosphere was relaxed, and although price is above your general gastro pub, the quality of the food is that much higher so good value. Parking can be a problem on busy days.

We have visited the Windmill Inn on numerous occasions since we moved to the area earlier in the year. I cannot express how much we love this place. The owners are very friendly, but also professional. There is an area where they allow dogs, which is great for us, meaning we can pop in for a drink or lunch to break up our dog walk. They also sell homemade dog treats which our pups go mad for. The interior of the pub is cosy and stylish and there is a great selection of drinks. The pub adheres to COVID safe measures and the team have been proactive in adapting to the changes the pandemic has imposed. As you'll see below they have amazing takeaway options for the lockdown period. Feast: The feast menu is a selection of small tapas plates ranging from Kimchi to loaded chilli nachos to sticky beef. I think we have sampled every one on the menu and all were absolutely delicious. My recommendation is the sticky chilli beef (and do NOT share)! Pies: The Windmill also is infamous for it's pies. I must admit, I'm not that much of a 'pie person' but OH MY GOD! They are insanely good! We've had them both in the pub and at home. The home pies are £15 for 5 pies, which is very good value. Here my recommendation would be the beef bouguignon pie, it's so rich and brimming with slow roast beef. The pulled pork and cheddar is also amazing. Hot feast takeaway: For the lockdown the Windmill has started to do takeaway hot food. My husband and I had the sausage and chorizo Goulash last night, with parmentier potatoes. Again amazing value for money and mouth-wateringly delicious. The Goulash was full of flavour and the sausages were fat and succulent. Love this place!

We came up for a track day at mallory park, and were looking for somewhere to eat. I'm so glad we ended up here. The atmosphere was friendly, food gorgeous and very friendly staff. We had a lovely lady look after us, who was smiley and funny....who made us feel very welcome. Couldn't fault the service or quality. Looking forward forward to another track day...will be staying on a Thursday night again ;-)

Excellent food and amongst the best staff I have ever met. There was some confusion with our orders but this was rapidly sorted out. Maybe a little parsimonious in the roast vegetable department? I enjoyed them but would have liked a few more than the two half potatoes each we were served. My one concern ? The molten lava effect. I like my food served hot on warmed plates but someone got a bit carried away in this respect as at least two of our dishes were far too hot to eat and reminded me of a visit I once made to Geysir in Iceland so pronounced were the bubbling and popping on the surface of the dishes. Moderation in all things, folks.

An excellent upmarket pub/restaurant set in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside. It boasts the broadest of menus with a strong emphasis on a choice of pies. The hake dish I selected was of a generous proportions, fresh and delicious, presented with a fine chorizo and bean accompaniment. The lady of the house made a charming and attentive host, with a demonstrable good sense of humour. Highly recommended.

I visited The Windmill last Wednesday,6th November 2013 with a group of retired friends and found a modern stylish pub/restaurant.with a very pleasant atmosphere. The staff were attentive smartly turned out and smiling even when some of our group found it difficult to make their minds up with the great variety on the menu on offer.
