Reviews of Mill Lodge Beefeater
A.
Went for Father's Day and was not disappointed, plenty of parking, staff were lovely and service was nice and quick. Had the Sunday roast and very pleased, much better than what I've had from Toby carvery. The dessert was a banoffee waffle Sunday and I'd happily go back for that again. Very happy.

As I regularly stay and Premier Inn hotels for work it's always nice to come across great service.
The night time service was excellent, all the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and friendly and speed of service was also great.
The morning staff didn't disappoint either and the waitress was friendly and very helpful, a lot of chain pubs sometimes fall down on their level of service but not here, I'm very impressed by the level of service.
L. S.
Just had one of the best full English breakfast I've had in a long time,,last night evening meal was as good the rump steak was cooked perfectly,,the staff was smiling and very happy to help thank you all,
G. P.
This is primarily a steak house and burger type restaurant but other options, including vegetarian, are available. The dining area has quite a large capacity but bigger parties would be advised to book to be certain the tables can be configured for them. It is probably a good idea to pre-book anyway as this is a popular venue. Children are welcome and high chairs are available.
On the Sunday night we went business was brisk but the service was pretty good. There was enough time to relax and chat but not to get bored. The food was tasty and arrived hot. Staff were helpful and friendly.
The toilet area is well fitted and immaculately clean but my impression is that it might be a bit tight for wheelchair users.
All in all going there was a very positive experience and I would be happy to return.
M. A.
Decent place to eat. Lunch menu is available for cheaper prices. Double crunch wings are very crunchy and delicious but needs more dipping sauce. I also ordered a double crunch chicken sandwich, and it was very good espescially if you add more sauce. Clean restauarnt. Staff are very nice and friendly.
A. G.
The food was very tasty. For my partners birthday she decided to get a steak, last time we ordered steak it brought my partner to tears because it was so bad. But this time the steak was juicy, full of flavour and it was nice and big with little fat. My had lamb chops...not very big at all, I have 4 in total, but there is more meat in chicken nuggets then those chops so that was disappointing. The service however was brilliant. Very polite and honest which is what I prefer!

Very good food at realistic prices. Huge flat car park directly opposite the Bomber Command Memorial. Has hotel accommodation sharing the location. 15 minutes drive from Lincoln centre. Friendly and efficient staff all around. Single floor, with main toilets just inside door and wheelchair accessible further along. Wide and varied menu.
A. T.
The restaurant has changed to self service since last time which slightly affects the quality of the food although still boasts good value at £9.50 for unlimited breakfast. The glasses are small and whilst typical of a setting of this kind are inconvenient when you are sat on booths and everyone has to move constantly.
K. S.
Took my father in law and husband for lunch. Usual pub meals on offer. Had share Size garlic bread which was really nice. Mains were nice also and servers were friendly and attentive. Will revisit.
D. K.
Three of us went for breakfast and were very impressed with the quality of the food. Hot and plentiful. Eggs, bacon, hash browns and sausages were delicious. Stars friendly and helpful.
M. C.
Very nice decor and ambience in the restaurant. The staff were very attentive, professional and friendly. The breakfast was excellent, but the lunchtime and dinner meals were too plastic for me. They were not of a high quality and for the poor quality were very bad value for money.
g. H.
The food was excellent. Although we arrived late everyone made us feel welcome and valued and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely meal and I would recomend it to anyone.
K. M.
Went for fathers day. They ran out of roast dinners so had to pick from the main menu. Granted there was a lot of choice but the food came out looking a little lack lustre and disappointing. Overall the taste was OK but it wasn't the best. I ordered onion rings with my main and complained when they didn't come out to then be told they had been given to us but had been put on the plate of another meal (my sisters) to save the waiter making an added trip. I'm baffled by this practice. Glad I had money off vouchers
E. N.
Starter were very poor, I had 3 buttermilk chicken goujans no garnish plonked on plate with BBQ sauce. Partner had salt & pepper calamari no garnish.
Mains faired better. Huge burger with gravy dipping sauce n chips. Wished I'd bypassed the starter definitely wasn't worth £6 each!
A. M.
Excellent service, the meal was very good also good value for money. Would recommend to a friend. Will definitely be having a meal there again when in Lincoln.
c. e.
food is good. always something missing off menu. evening eating dosnt cater for a smaller appetite. good value. knowledgeable staff .
R. F.
Lunchtime special menu was ok. Attentive staff and ambiance.
Gents toilet urinals were disgusting and filthy - we've decided not to visit again as it's unhygienic!☹️☹️🤮
M. S.
Little late with the review........very good service helped me choose from the great menu. Went for the T bone steak and when it came and it was not by the way long wow it was so good. You wont go hungry here. 2nd visit now amazing here
D. H.
Nice atmosphere. I asked where the corn was that was on the menu of the meal that I ordered and was told there wasn't any altho this wasn't told to us when we ordered. Nothing was offered as an alternative. It was dismissed....
R. A.
Visited this restaurant as we were going to be in the area. Another well layed out interior, staff friendly & helpful. Meal excellent. Well done.
D. T.
My colleagues and I had a great afternoon in the company of these fine people. Excellent food and attentive service. Best Beefeater around.
B. W.
Fantastic. Went as a family and had the perfect meal. Everything arrived in a timely manner and was piping hot and tasty.
Being a vegetarian it was so good to see such choice and I can highly recommend the cauliflower cheese tart, it was cheesy heaven in my mouth. Husband and son enjoyed their steaks, both cooked the way they requested and with great chunky chips. Two of us had dessert and thoroughly enjoyed them.
The staff are excellent, tables cleared and cleaned quickly, glasses refilled. Reservation was made in advance and it’s probably a good idea as the place was very busy.
H. V.
For dinner, the waiting a bit long, not enough staff to serve all the costumes. Food was not tasty at all and cold. Really disappointing.
Breakfast, well service with variety of choices. Good portion and tasty.
Lovely staff and so much respectful.
m. m. m. m.
The food was very good overall, I did get an uncooked slice of chicken in one of my meals. Service is great!
M. P.
Hadn't visited for a while as the last time we did the food wasn't good but decided to try again. This time the food was far better and the waitress was very pleasant and helpful. Had to wait a while to get seated and for food, also waited at least 15 minutes before the bill arrived. The whole place including the bar seems very understaffed seeing how busy it gets, they are very apologetic but it's not their fault. Would definitely visit again but maybe during the week when a bit quieter.
m. L.
Good food and the staff were great. We didn't have to wait
A. K.
Our meals came out all looking good, but then a large party arrived and the noise level went up, it can't be helped but it spoilt our conversion with our friends and the quiet meal with friends
R. D.
Lovely steak, we had a party of six and all enjoyed the food, when booking ask not to be next to the toilets or people will be constantly walking past you.
Update: still as good, nice steak!
R. F.
We had our Mum’s wake at Mill Lodge, a hot and cold buffet was provided which was absolutely fantastic. The food was good quality and kept being replenished when needed which meant no one went hungry.
When planning the wake the manager, Steph, ensured everything we wanted was possible, she went above and beyond to make the day just as we wanted. All the staff were helpful and amazing and I cannot thank the team for making a very difficult day a bit better.
P. H.
It's a Beefeater...Good quality food, at a good price, just don't expect to out late as they close the bar quite early
S. S.
Lovely young lady took me to my table, very pleasant and engaging. Took my order in quick time. Food was very good, cooked to perfection. Reasonably priced food but drink expensive. Treated myself to a cherry and ammereto ice cream, very enjoyable.
R. W.
Wonderful American waiter, customer service is always good here. Didn't have the combo I wanted for. Main but my ribs were delicious
L. H.
Nice lunch with friends, staff helpful and polite and food good and reasonably priced
P. P.
We had a lovely meal. The meal was piping hot and we didn't wait too long. The prices have increased by about 15 percent since we last visited.
H. R.
A lovely meal and drinks with the girls.
Prices are fair and drinks are nor bad either.
Would go again for sure x
M. “. B.
Great service but the food was only ok and didn't feel value for money
R. A. C.
Ambiance of the restaurant was good. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Food was just alright for the price.
T. M.
Didn't eat today, went to a wake after a funeral. The place was very clean and tidy.Staff were very attentive and pleasant.Must go for food soon.
J.
Nice food. Staff friendly. Waiter on Saturday particularly helpful and personable.
K. H.
Excellent venue and good food .very friendly staff and very polite.
M. M.
Excellent service (Shaz) and menu choices. Unfortunately my steak was a little overcooked and the chips a little undercooked.
F. H.
Lovely staff but cleanliness and food certainly not great. We wouldn't return to eat.
C. P.
Valentines meal: scallops were very small but with a nice sauce! Burger was hard & chewy, came firstly with fries not triple cooked chips. When the meal returned the triple cooked chips were not cooked through properly & were hard in the middle. Disappointed with the main course! Chocolate brownie with ice cream was excellent.
T. R.
Nice family eatery. Clean, modern environment, friendly, helpful staff. We've only ever gone for the breakfast which the kids love because they can help themselves to the unlimited continental type buffet while they wait for the cooked breakfast. Breakfast is very tasty.
C. H.
Large group of us booked. Our first waiter Amber was brilliant efficient on the ball even to the point of getting on her hands and knees to remove food on the floor from a previous service. Drinks order arrived promptly, starter orders taken along with mains, however Amber finished her shift half way through our visit after that things went slightly down hill after that. The only thing that was truly hot was dessert. Our bill was wrong been charged extra for a drink that wasn't ordered and for two side orders that was requested but never arrived. Would be 2 star review but the excellent service from Amber hence 3 star.
L. B.
Fabulous food and lovely staff. Highly recommended.
P. S.
Very nice steak cooked as I asked. Staff are friendly and very attentive.
P. K.
Very good. Nice food, friendly professional staff.
a. m.
Brilliant food and brilliant service will definitely be back again.
S. D.
We have not been for a but now
The menu was better and I will
Go back again soon my wife and her daughter.
s. G.
The food was table service cooked to order . The selection was brilliant. From fresh fruit salad and Yogurt to porridge. From full English with eggs 4 ways to full continental and plenty of choice . Plus lots of different fruit juice and hot drinks to choose from . Value for money excellent.
I. S.
Nice food, great staff. A little pricey if you don’t have any discount vouchers
D. P.
Was here last week and although food and service was OK the length of time it took for our meals to come was ridiculous. If your expecting a quick service on the meal I would advise you on going somewhere else.
S. M.
Been here a couple of time now. Never had a bad meal, and staff have always been polite and attentive. Personally i think prices are on the dearer side, but if you use eating in codes it brings it down.
Would definitely recommend going, especially after a good day out in Lincoln.
We will be back again.
M. R.
This mornings visit for breakfast was disappointing. We come here for breakfast as it is usually table service and the food arrives lovely and hot. Not today- it was out on a hot plate- mushrooms were cold. Had to request vegetarian sausages and poached eggs. The eggs were very undercooked. (Usually they are lovely) booked online and requested a window table- we were seated nowhere near the window yet there were plenty of window tables free. Hopefully this was a one off but if breakfast is no longer table service we won’t return.
E. S.
Very nice food... meat all perfectly cooked and very good quality meat used.
R. M.
Lovely warm modern restaurant/pub. Great food, great service. Everyone was friendly and hardworking and always made sure we had everything we need. Only thing I will say is the ladies toilets need sorting out such as locks and cleaning more often otherwise great restaurant
M. C.
We were a large party, but the service was slow with only one very obliging waiter. The food was from the freezer in the main but quite tasty would not want to go back. I like fresh food.
S. J.
Can't fault it. The meal was great, the service was great. Everyone who dealt with us was friendly and seemed happy to work there. Sorry,I don't know his name but the guy with the long hair was one of the best waiters I have ever known. He genuinely seemed so happy to be there and was so friendly.
D. B.
IWe absolutely love eating here for the atmosphere and the friendly and efficient staff. The only thing that's stopped us from using more regularly is that I'm Vegetarian and the dishes available so few.
D. L.
There is plenty of parking. Easy access.taken to a table which was reserved. Not crowded. Menu for food was extensive.service was good and professional. Did not have to wait long for service or food. Food was very good, and prices were competitive.
A. R.
Mill Lodge very accessible. All on one level.
There are a few disability parking spaces.
The lady that served us (shaz) was quick to serve us and was very attentive.
We had the two course for £8.99, and the food we got was very nice.
Will definitely return.
A. D.
Disappointed. Meal was OK but beef steak pie very nice, had the same from other eateries. Potato powdery, gravy loose and bitty, peas not fully cooked. Side grilled veg: spring onion tough unchewable, half a grilled tomato ok, mushroom very watery with grease.
Toilet: mens needs more hygiene attendances. Two fully enclosed cubicles no ventilation, toilet pans soiled, and a cheap cracked seat in one that nips skin!
Staff pleasant. Gave a 26% tip regardless.
Pretty Disappointed and wouldn't visit again, call me picky but this place used to have a great reputation.
n. b.
Very good. Needed to buy new fitting shirt, we were stuffed
D. I.
We Always visit Mill lodge, and live nearby..food always great, staff always lovely, especially Sharon,Damien and Geoff
C. R.
Excellent place. Good food. Great staff very helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend it highly.
O. S.
Dinner as part of Premier Inn stay.
One waitress acted like she wanted to be anywhere else but there, the rest were really helpful and friendly.
Food was as expected, we went for a burger and a wrapped chicken. Nachos starter were a bit burnt, prawn cocktail was fine. No puddings available which was strange as we saw puds arrive elsewhere as we paid. A few other items missing too - Brexit?
G. J.
Great place, comfortable and pleasant with a very good menu with lots of nice choices. Staff very friendly.
G. R.
Nice Beefeater. Service is good, food is always well presented and the bar staff are polite and welcoming.
P. C.
Mixed Grill served on a cold plate so the food was only just warm when served.
Two lines missing off 2 of the meals and had to be requested. Waitress very helpful though. Overall from the party of 5 people only 1 was happy with their meal as it was hot.
D. M.
The ribs, were delicious
Our waiter, very professional
v. s.
Great food and service. Best to book.
M. T.
Great service..but not generous on the meat. Wanted Sunday Dinners. Got burger size meat. Real.shame. staff great though. No doubt company is trying to save money on portion sizes.
D. T.
Excellent service very friendly staff and food was excellent too
F. H.
Good service. Food was ok. One steak was send back as it was well done not medium rare, the other didn't come with the mushroom. The chocolate bomb was not as show stopping as I was expecting as the side had melted when I got it due to the hot sauce jug being against it.
S. G.
Actually went there by mistake. Had Tesco Vouchers for a free meal and should have been at the Chef and Brewer up the road but decided to stay and pay. Served by Paul who was lovely.
My rump steak was cooked to perfection and Barry's gammon was excellent too. I forgot to take a photo when meal was delivered but took it half way through and you can see my steak was, as requested, medium rare. Highly recommend.
i. w.
Great food and excellent service.
m. w.
Basic pub grub lunch, but affordable
D. H.
Great service from the staff. Busy, so pleased we had booked for Sun lunch. Food was lovely, but not all that hot on our plate.
j. f.
It was nice meal. Needed more gravy
L. B.
Great customer service had a real personal touch and good with the kids. Food is just big standard pub grub nothing special but hot and what you asked for. Could be a very reliable place to keep going back to!
J. L.
My friend & I have enjoyed a tasty breakfast at Mill Lodge this morning. We were greeted by a very pleasant gentleman called Jez who showed us to our table & took our order.
We were then served by the most friendly & polite waiter called Jeffrey who brightened our day with his cheerful manner & warm personality.
The food was hot & cooked to a good standard & the staff & premises were compliant with social distancing regulations.
We will certainly be back!
a. S.
The food was nice, but was not offerd sunday lunch menu, we had to ask for it, it said unlimited roast potatoes, yorkshire pudding, and gravey, so we asked for potatoes but dident get any, the lady never came back
m. p.
Very good service and lovely ribs and beer😃
T. G.
Attentive staff good food.
S. A. (. E.
Good service and great food, portion sizes and price were very good
L. G.
Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Freshly cooked food. Will definitely be visiting again
D. D.
First time been here, went past lots of times. This time decided to stop and give it go, I was not disappointed also the 3 children and the wife were very happy. The staff are extremely professional and did the upmost to ensure covid-19 rules were adhered to. The food was amazing and extremely tasty. Would highly recommend the Mill Lodge to anyone.
C. H.
Friendly staff and good food! Though a lot of things on the menu were unavailable.
L. R.
Fantastic hospitality and service. Sharon - our waitress - was fab.
E. M.
Very nice food in a spacious environment. Excellent server.
S. C.
Staff - friendly & helpful
Food- NO fish, steak & ale pie nor lasagne, so not left with much choice, unless you want burger or pizza🤨
L. W.
The meal and service were fine, but could have been better. My medium steak was a bit overcooked and chewy and the onion rings were stone cold (although immediately dealt with when this was pointed out). I wouldn't expect gourmet, but the food is not cheap and with a bit of attention to detail it could have been really nice.
C. J.
Good food, plenty of choice but the staff really do make it enjoyable, smiling and helpful, top marks
M. R.
Went today with 3 friends for lunch. Had read some poor reviews. We all had a really enjoyable meal and will definitely be going back. Decor lovely, very clean. There wasn't a long wait for the food as we'd read in previous reviews. The staff were polite and friendly, and we stayed there chatting for 4 hours.
K.
It's the service that makes this place stand out. They are really polite but not in that cringeworthy way some restaurants do it. They go the extra mile on your orders, considering where to seat you and check ins to make sure all is okay. Never had an average meal here either, despite how busy it can get. Clearly excellent chefs supported by excellent front of house.
L. C.
Food always good and really good service
D. R.
Just popped in for a quick Latte with sime friend's.
Greeted and shown to a table. Friendly service and enjoyed the drink.
g. g.
Decent enough place to have a meal
l. m.
I didn’t take any photos but had my first post Covid meal here yesterday.
Staff were friendly and respectful, and the new ways of dining were clearly explained and displayed.
It does seem prices have increased considerably though, but I guess this is
In line with reduced capacity. It’s not just here things have gone up.
J. M.
Although there was a few menu items unavailable because if delivery issues there was still plenty of choice. It didn't take long from ordering and had a great tasty meal!
B. D.
Excellent variety of meals both value and full price. Recommend will definitely visit again.
D. B.
Had a group of 6 of us arrive without booking, whilst it was quite busy. Friendly, helpful and attentive staff looked after us very well and provided us with good food, at a good price.
D. E.
Staying at the Premier Inn next door we had breakfast this morning at the Mill Lodge Beefeater. Everything was very well organised to ensure covid procedures were followed and the staff were very friendly and efficient. The cooked breakfast was served at the table although we could help ourselves to the toast and hot drinks. The quality of the food was excellent and the cooked breakfast was served without delay. Well done to the staff!
O. N.
It was okay service was okay not bad but not amazing
Steak was good but not alot to go with the food
Desert was good
A. K.
Good menu with plenty of choice at affordable prices. Efficient and friendly service which was not rushed. Quite busy so suggest booking in advance. Car parking might be difficult as well if busy. Food was tasty and good portions. Also if having a sugar free coke or Pepsi you get free refills, good news for the driver.
J. L.
Went for Sunday lunch, 6 of us. Booked online before which was easy today. Was seated quickly and nice wide range of food. They were changing the menu the next day and there was a mess up with our order which meant the food took longer than expected to come out. It wasn't exceptionally busy so I would be worried going in if it was busy. Aside from that I would go again as good value for money
A. J.
Breakfast was delicious and great value
S. H.
Nice meal friendly staff, very nice place to go
N. D.
Just eaten here this evening as a party of 5 all meals very good and served nice and hot.
Excellent service from staff, can recommend
D. H.
The Beefeater is off of the main road and in a nice little setting. We went here on Easter Sunday whilst staying locally on a short weekend break. The restaurant was nice and clean and the staff were friendly and attentive. The food is usually great at Beefeater and it didn't disappoint on this occasion. The food is great quality although probably on the more pricey side. Only small issue was that we had to wait for about 15 mins for the bill when we were ready to leave but would recommend.
H. P.
Only three stars for the food. That was good. But the staff let's things down. We had to go and find staff to order both for mains and desserts. Sides carrots on a child's meal were not peeled/cleaned though. Thankfully said child did not want them! Handled our complaints well though and compensated us fairly. Just a shame they had to. They assured us tonight was not a fair representative of the usual service. Has put us off though.
J. W.
Food was good. But service absolutely excellent, we were very well looked after, the waiter offered us refills multiple times saving us the trip, he was also very well mannered and friendly.
The best part was what followed. After having a car breakdown and explaining our issues they kept our food hot multiple times so that we could sort it out, not only this but they noticed how distraught we were and gave us a substantial discount and allowed us to keep the car in the parking for as long as we needed, the six of us that had the pleasure of eating here are beyond grateful. Thank you.
Our waiter (Team Manager) who provided great service: Paul
The duty manager who provided a discount and reassured us with parking arrangements: Rob
G. B.
My wife and child's food was fine, but I had the 8oz Sirloin which was tough as leather. Sent it back and they cooked another just the same. Cooked rare but difficult to cut and very chewy. Cooking was fine but meat quality was very poor and lots of fat. Staff were very good about it and gave us free desserts as an apology.
J. S.
I've just had my Birthday meal there. Used my Voucher. Ordered from the main menu. Food was good. My grandson's enjoyed there food, as did my daughter and partner. The staff were helpful, and polite. I eat there at least once a month, and have never had a problem. Thanks Mill Lodge.
R. H.
Very good service food very good always keep going back its easy the best value for money
P. M.
Can be VERY busy so try to book in advance although tables for two to four can be had if you are patient when they are at peak times. Usually only two of us, we recently booked a table for fifteen people - a birthday lunch - and, although quite short notice it was not a problem. Drinks were sorted at the bar and, after much ooooing and arrrrgghhing over the cute one year old, we ordered and everything arrived together, rather quickly, all hot and as ordered. Every one enjoyed the food - mains and sweets only - and the waiter serving us was very friendly and patient. The restaurant is airy, a nice atmosphere with lots of nooks and crannies with tables all over so you can have privacy or not. Small toilets at the Travelodge entrance - gents loo - can you get the seat fixed please? Otherwise, highly recommend!!
S. W.
Grandchildren loved it x
A. P.
Hot fresh food and friendly staff. Good value for money for going in before 18:30. Not to get them into bother but happy they had the radio on. Not a fan of the cheep licence free music they now play in every Beefeater. I feel sorry for the staff who have to work with this every day.
J. S. (.
Just ok. Not been here for years, may be years till I go again. How were we supposed to know that part was table service? staff we felt were disparaging rather than truly helpful. We both had steak, well done, which was fine. But all it came with was 12 chips and the 'salad' which was a very small pot of what was more like coleslaw. That's it! So it's a good job we weren't particularly hungry. Similar chains for a similar price (£10) give more chips plus tomato and mushrooms. And if the chips were triple cooked I'll eat my hat, it would be as tasty!
H. Y.
We were seated quickly and our drink order was taken five minutes later, although the waitress had to come back and retake the order as she had forgotten what we ordered. We ordered food as the drinks arrived.
There was then a 50 minute wait for our food, my two year old daughter was very restless during this time which lead to a few strops and tears.
The food was average and a fair bit was microwaved.
All in all not the greatest of experiences.
We were given free drinks as a way of apology.
E. J.
Newly refurbished and re branded, just as good as ever. Smells of new carpet and everything. Looking forward to trying the breakfast buffet soon. Still have never had a bad meal here. Friendly staff and congenial atmosphere.
C. E.
Fast service, really good food (steak cooked perfectly!) and the waiter was a great help when others in my group were indecisive!
Thank you for a great experience!
C. C.
A very modern beefeater with a trendy feel.
Stayed at the Premier Inn next door so ate here twice for breakfast and dinner.
Breakfast is good, it's your standard buffet style help your self, you're has a good selection and quality items. Continental and hot options.
There was never a que and it was always well stocked and very clean.
Dinner was nice, steaks were very nice I can recommend the sirloin.. Initially you think you don't get many chips but check the menu as it states unlimited chips / veg / salad.. So as a table of 8 we had a few extra bowls.
Everyone liked the chicken and duck wings.
All the desserts were delicious!
Great place to have attached to a premier Inn (especially when work are paying) lol

It's a Beefeater so you know if you're going to like it (think pub restaurant but larger). Food is typical chain restaurant stuff - steaks, burgers etc. Staff are friendly, and they're handling social distancing really well.
M. S.
Very conscientious staff who took care of our dietary requirements with no issues. They had a great sense of humour which made for a much more relaxing atmosphere. Great amount of choice on the menu, and the food was lovely. Thank you for a great meal.

My mum and I were visiting my dad at Lincoln county hospital and we wanted to get a proper meal somewhere, my mum said she knew just the place. Upon entering we were told there weren't any Sunday dinners left which didn't bother us as we didn't want those meals. The options were good and the food was lovely, my starter was new on the menu, mini camembert with focaccia slices and it was perfect. The service was great as was the food and it was very clean.

Visited here a month ago with friends and gave an excellent review after a lovely meal with excellent service. As a result we returned last night for our sons 22nd birthday we were quickly seated and drinks ordered promptly. From then on we had to wait over 25 min to place our order our waiter went off across restaurant and was stood talking to a family for a good 15 min with his back to us showing them things on his mobile after that he went to lay tables despite us trying to gain his attention. Another waiter noticed our dilema and came to take our order despite it not being his patch. About 5 min after ordering our supposed waiter came to take our order to be politely told we had placed it with a different waiter. In the meantime a chef came out of the kitchen and spoke to head waitress in our hearing he was mad as orders were ready to be served but no waiters available and meals were getting cold. The restaurant was not busy it was about 5.45pm on a Tuesday.
Our meal came and was fine but by this time we wanted to get home in time for England game we had wanted deserts but no time to order and eat so we paid and left.
Due to poor service by our waiter will not be returning for a while . Shame.

Very well looked after good value

I went to Cannock Premier Inn for breakfast with mum and dad, as they had free parking, the continental breakfast was ok with yogurt fruit Danish but could be better and the coffee machine was not a patch on Wetherspoons hot drinks and the latte was not the best, then the cooked breakfast was warm but the sausages were not the best, overall it is ok for the £9.50 with two free children’s meals if with a adult but it is not a patch on Skegness premier inn breakfast as it had better choices and service and free parking and local, whereas the central Lincoln premier inn has no free parking which is an issue for my mum who has mobility problems.
Booking is recommended as it Can get busy. Worth a visit and booking recommend
M. V.
Great Service, Good Food. Staff friendly and welcoming. Would use again if in the area.
Highly recommended.

Just called in for lunch as we hadn't been for a long while. We were seated quickly and offer the menu and drinks promptly. We ordered from the restaurants lunch menu which was quite a full range and cheaper alternatives than from the full menu.
My beer battered Haddock fish and chips with peas was excellent and my partners steak and mushroom in bread roll with chips was also very good. I had a pint of bitter shandy and she had a latte. All this for less than £20.00 on a Saturday lunch was great value. My only problem was that we had a 45 mins wait from have been served our drinks to being served lunch.
T. B.
As a vegetarian in the Covid-19 restrictions time zone, the menu has been radically simplified so far as choice is concerned. A real shame.
The preparations for the virus are well presented and tables set a minimum of two metres apart.
Just needs more vegetarian choices, aside from selections couple of sides.

Probably the best value for money in Lincoln.
Superb quality of food and exceptional service.
My waiter was a chap called Ben K. He was the best I have ever come across. Diligent, polite and totally professional. If I ever own a restaurant I would want Ben as the manager. Table Table are very lucky to have him.
H. B.
Food (breakfast) was good but some stuff needed topping up. Kids eat free was good! Better since beefeater took over. Sometimes you need to find a member of staff to get you a table, otherwise good.

Excellent food and service 👌

Have also eaten here before it was a Beefeater, and it was decidedly average back then. Now it seems to have improved but it is early days. The service was slow, and they had run out of certain elements of the menu but gave the impression they might have had enough for any main orders - turns out they didn't. Sausages came out undercooked, and some of the steaks looked a bit less impressive than I'd have hoped. Presentation of dishes was a bit lacklustre, which was disappointing given the prices. That being said, the unlimited triple-cooked chips on certain menu items is a plus, and the ribs are always tasty from here. Cleanliness is good, and after pointing out the omission from the plate and the undercooked sausages we did get a discount off the bill, but it all felt a bit hap-hazard. I suspect it was just teething problems and will happily give them another go in due course.

Great value Great service thanks
J. J.
Had the Sunday roast beef which was excellent. Staff very helpful and understanding as we had a baby in the group. Really had a good time. Quite modern decor. I liked the cows.
C. R.
Very clean, good food, price okay.
N. A.
Really lovely, family friendly place. It had been a long time since we ate here, and the food was definitely improved upon. Great kids menu.
L. W.
Haven't been to Mill Lodge for about three years and was really impressed with the menu. There is a good range of dishes at very reasonable prices and a choice of steaks. Worth noting that we had unlimited triple cooked chips included with our meal.
The beers are good both on tap and bottled and a decent wine list.
The service was very good, despite being very busy.
A great place for families too.
We signed up for the Beefeater loyalty scheme and are now waiting for the first 50% off main meal deals.
Top marks from me.
i. m.
We ate here whist staying at the Premier Inn Lincoln Canwick. We had an OK breakfast but our evening meal was spoiled firstly with the lack of choice due to many of the dishes being unavailable, but then by the chef not noticing an omission and just plating up as per the menu.I then had to wait 10 minutes for them to rectify the problem.
D. C.
We have stayed for 2 nights at the premier Inn & had the meal deal to include breakfast & dinner. Everything has been fantastic - room, food, staff, atmosphere. I'd like to make special mention of William who served us on Thursday. It was his first week but he made us feel very welcome & was very attentive. Well done 👍
I. E.
An excellent place for quality food and service. We stay at the hotel next door and breakfast and evening meal was excellent. Its a credit to the manager whom understands customer service... Well done.
L. M.
Had our 42nd Anniversary lunch there today. The meal was delicious. Fillet steaks, cooked to perfection. Please give it a try, you won't regret it.
O. M.
Went there for breakfast. There's a good choice of cooked items, cereals, bread and fruit. The fried eggs must have been prepared well in advance and be sitting there for quite a while already. There is only one coffee machine which regularly generates a long queue. Once you have your hot coffee the rest of your brekfast is cold. Personnel is friendly. The price is rather on the high end.
k. s.
Excellent value for money. Most of the staff are friendly and have perfect manners. The server Nico was brilliant, well mannered and very polite. He made sure we had everything and came to check with us that everything was ok.
K. S.
Very pleasant staff and very helpful as my wife is a coeliac, the waiter took his time to explain everything on the menu.
S. H.
Good efficient service, good size portions and very pleasant staff. Clean and well maintained restaurant. Food is okay and reflects how much you are paying for it. Will visit again when passing.
d. h.
A pleasant evening with friends celebrating a birthday. Atetentive service from James. Apparently the salmon Wellington was excellent I went for the ribs which were OK rather bland. For puds several went for the crepes we all thought a scoop of ice-cream would have helped as it was dry and unresponsive as it laid on the plate. Chocolate pud apple pie and chocolate sundae saved the day. The big bonus was the day before our visit I had received a 50% off mains offer .
J. H.
This is the only place you can eat when staying at the Premier Inn without driving. When we visited on a Saturday night the hotel was full and the restaurant was booked out.
We were able to find a table at the bar since we only wanted a snack and a drink.
For breakfast, it was again very busy but as with the evening before the staff were friendly and efficient.
Food was as expected.
L. G.
Menu was restricted as they had problem with their supplier and no dishes containing chicken were available. However, my Halloumi and avocado salad, the beer battered fish and chips and the vegetarian pasta were excellent. Nice relaxed atmosphere, staff all very pleasant and happy to serve us. So much nicer than when Tabletable.
S.
Our waiter Paul was brilliant, knowledgeable, and great with the kids. The menu wasn't clear, we had to ask about the burgers! Once the food arrived it was as expected for the price.
D.
Not bad from the outside. Decorated in line with other restaurants clean and tidy. Pleasant, helpful staff, checked if I new what dish was unavailable that day. Attended my table in good time. Apologised for 1 desert out of 3 where there icecream had very slightly melted. Staff well trained. Toilet at back Could have more attention around toilet seat brackets and sink in addition extractor fan 80 covered in fluff, but window open and smelt fresh and clean. Would recommend.
3 main, 3 desert and 3 soft drinks £47.
M. B.
Restaurant itself and food are good.
Just make sure you clean properly your glasses before serving drinks in it. Mine had a big red lipsticks mark on it. Kinda gross!
B. B.
The food was amazing, my steak was the best I've had in ages. Our server was brilliant she worked so hard. All in all a great evening
T. b.
The best place I've eaten for years! All of the waiters/waitress were extremely polite and helpful... I will definitely eat here again and recommend to family and friends... very reasonable prices..
L. P.
Staff have got it right here. Very friendly service and great value for money. Very welcoming environment.
S. B.
on arrival the place was not very busy and there were staff chatting to each other and not paying attention to incoming customers, when we eventually got our table we ordered our food and in all fairness was quite good.
I would go back there again despite the first hiccup.
K. F.
They were busy on Friday when we were here, and so meals were slower than expected, but reasonable in the circumstances. Service from Gail was exceptional. Food was of good quality.
M. I.
Good food and beer, excellent breakfast, friendly service.
M. G. S.
Food was reasonable. Menu is very expensive for what you receive. I cook a better steak at home then I consumed there tonight. Triple cooked chips are good though!
J. D.
Excellent Christmas Day menu. Generous portions (six !! profiteroles for dessert). Friendly service by Paul and his colleagues. Impressive knowledge of gins too!!
T. S.
Good food and great staff
J. N.
This Beefeaters Lodge is connected to the Premier Inn in Lincoln where we went for Easter
Super polite service with a lovely choice of best of British cuisine. Yummy starters. Good cuts of meat main course and sumptuous desserts. Great place to have a meal. Choice of drinks served
A. G. (.
Great food. Excellent service. Brilliant staff nothing too much trouble. Highly recommend
S. B.
Had Breakfast this morning and the food was fantastic!
Only down side was that we were waiting outside for 40 minutes even though we booked a table :(
P. W.
Quite expensive compared to other similar chain restaurants. Quality is good but less of it than comparable places (Chicken n Ribs had a flattened breast and just half of a mini corn on the cob, while their sister company Brewers Fayre offer half a chicken and a full mini corn on the cob for £1 less than Beefeater). Unlimited soft drinks are on offer (Pepsi, 7up, etc) but are hidden in the small print at the very end of the drinks menu, while non-unlimited soft drinks such as Coca-Cola is much more prominent on the drinks menu, so check the menu carefully if you want to avoid paying the same price for a single 330ml Coke, compared to someone else having unlimited Pepsi refills for the same price.
J.
As we were taken to table before we even took off coats we were asked what drinks we wanted. I said can we just sit down and decide first!. After main meal we were asked if we wanted a dessert. We said no and she said she would bring the bill. Before we had chance to say that after our cold drinks we were going to ask for coffee! She apologised and presented the bill.......overcharged by £9!!!!. Decided not to have coffee. Staff were very pleasant but we felt very rushed.
A. C.
Nice setting, great evening meals not so much the breakfasts. Staff are friendly and attentive. Worth a visit.
J. H.
Absolutely 100%
Great service, lovely food and fair prices. Can't say more than that. Definitely go again.
C. T.
Enquired two days before my mums funeral if they could accommodate my close family of 12 people for a drink and a bite to eat after.
The young man whom we asked was very helpful and made a suggestion of a buffet Which was a very reasonable £6.99 a head.
On the day a further ten mourners joined us and the staff were so accommodating. Quickly doubled up the buffet, which was really nice with a mixture of hot and cold bites and far surpassed my expectations. They kindly opened a bar tab for me and found a private area that accommodated us all.
The staff are an absolute credit to the establishment and I would highly recommend the venue.

Delicious food fantastic atmosphere. The menu was quite restricted and pricey in places but really worth it. The Sunday roast has plenty of food and staff were brilliant highly recommend.
J. M.
Went there for a funeral wake. The bar staff and waitresses were so helpful and kind. Couldn't have asked for more. Xxx
H. H.
We had a really pleasant experience thanks to Paul. Paul helped me and my husband find the perfect menu for us and he was always very attentive but not intrusive at all. We would love to go back!
P. B.
Normally love this place. But. Table not wiped ordered 2 open sandwiches took over half an hour to come cold chips. No napkins. Had better.
M. W.
The greeting was shocking. We arrived at the time we had reserved but were kept waiting in line while two ladies spent some minutes looking at their system. We were then shown by Amber to a really bad table right by a draughty door. When I protested and wanted somewhere else, we were told that all of the many empty tables were assigned to other people. When I pointed out that all of those people didn't seem to be here, whereas I was, we were reluctantly allowed to take another table, but told in a very ungracious manner to take our menus with us when we moved. Fortunately things improved once we were seated. The waiter (didn't get his name but an American accent) was great and the ribs tasted excellent. So eventually it turned into a good evening, in spite of a poor start.
P. S.
Very good meal and service
A. D.
Just nothing special considering its a steak specialist the steak was just about average. Noticed menu said unlimited chios or free top-ups of chips which might account for the small portion of chips. However we werent asked if we wanted more chips nor did i want to go looking fir the server so in our case there were no free extra chips. Pretty sad place really.
D. E.
Great staff, great service, a little garnish on the starters would be nice, and I had coke, in a small glass, it Was £2.95, over priced for a small glass, at that price I would expect it to be free refills!
D. B.
Always a good breakfast buffet here!
R. D.
Handy for a meal or a drink either before or after a visit to be International Bomber Command Center across the road, complete with hotel on site. Pub garden tatty but interior is more than adequate. Staff friendly & usual pub food on offer. Bit of a trek ( uphill ) from city centre and nothing else close by.
S. L.
We had a lovely meal with friends today ,the staff couldn't have been more friendly (sian waitress). Great experience x
J. G.
Little pricey but enjoyable
B.
Amazing food, nice and delicious. Waiting staff professional. Warm and friendly attitude. Got the impression that people 99% regular.
Recommend Sunday roast, mmmm😊
P. B.
Went for belated birthday treat. Had chicken Caesar salad friend had open chicken sandwich. Then apple Betty for pudding. Excellent food. Good price.
l. m.
Good food and great service. Would be nice if they had a play area for kids as it is a very family oriented restaurant. But the food is great and have a good selection for adults and children.
G. T.
Went for Sunday dinner with my wife and mum we all had the lamb mine was very good my wife's was good and my mum's was not so good nothing to complain about just individual thoughts on the meal Paul the waiter was as ever chatty helpful and very polite also thanks to Jez and Chole for looking after me regarding my rewards card hope to see you again soon thanks again George
D.
Had an all you can eat breakfast was quite busy for a Sunday. All the cooked breakfast was good, also available is cold drinks and pastries etc. Would recommend just go on a quieter day!
B. M.
We go to Mill Lodge regularly. Not always 5 star but very good usually. This occasion 26 Aug was exceptionally good - partly due to Greg.
L. K.
Love this place always eating here. Food good and good prices. Also staff friendly. Free parking. Good loyalty card. Free meal on birthday if you have loyalty card.
P. R.
The food was very nice but it felt like we had to wait a long time. We had to wait long time for the drinks then the starter and so on. I don't know whether the food was worth it.
K. H.
Fab quality for money, presented beautifully. Would have liked fries hotter but other than that spot on! Staff are lovely and accommodating
E. S.
Was really worried about food quality as it switched from Table Table to Beefeater, but a lot better again now the whole place has properly switched over. Meat items are the main event, as the name suggests, but even the salmon was good.
J. C.
Food okay, nothing special. Breakfast nice, with a good range of continental included. Coffee expensive and took 5 minutes to be greeted/served.
J. D.
The mill lodge is consistently good, tonight I had the fillet steak stroganoff and it was excellent, staff always efficient and friendly. If you have vouchers this is a very good value meal
C. k.

We were seated straight away, didnt have to wait long for drinks or food. Food was nice our 2 year old especially enjoyed the sofas around the table instead of chairs.
H. J.
Food choices were good, I have allergies and was well catered for. Shane our server was great, with great banter and a good laugh. Merry Xmas 🎄.
K. C.
Missus left a pan jammer so we won't be able to go again!

Had to be the best breakfast for the price
W. B.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. Food was served in a reasonable time after ordering. Breakfast was good.
J. B.
Beautiful stuff and venue wonderful food keeping up with the beefeater way we're very helpful and supportive with our gluten-free vegetarian member of our team with creating a custom meal just for her
d. b.
The meal was really nice, with good service. The bad thing was they allowed somebody to come round with a collection box. Making you feel obiged to give some money. Poor end to a nice evening.
E. B.
Went in for breakfast, very nice choice of full English or continental buffet style. Staff very attentive & polite. We will be going again. Would recommend.
L. P.

We gad a lovely meal there, only thing is that it took about an hour to come out and we had a 5 hr journey to get back home to Devon,, otherwise all 12 of us enjoyed everything we had,.
B. M.
Brilliant place. We came late and the staff stayed late to serve us. The food tasted delicious. The food is well priced for its excellent value.

Not cheep and the special offers arnt that special too. Food was hot and tasty the place was buzzing with people and their special offer vouchers in hand. Not sure about a return visit but i did enjoy my burger.
J. D.
Liked it overall. Nice looking place. Service good even when busy. Good food only gripe was the fat on the edge of the steak wasnt cooked so it was tough.
m. b.
Not a bad place glad we had a voucher though. As would have been shocked at how much the food cost for what you got. Nosey parker same cost for steak but better value for money.
V. H. R.
Really nice place friendly staff and my meal was lovely
S. B.
Went for Christmas lunch with about 17 other people. The service was excellent. Food delicious and a fantastic atmosphere
Well recommended.

A solid choice for a family meal out on a budget. Easy to get to, plenty of parking and a great choice of meals for everyone. The food is as you'd expect for the price, nice, but nothing spectacular.

We came for lunch my husband had lasagne and I had sausage and mash. Both meals were every nice, hot and tasty, excellent service and pleasant surroundings.
J. D.
Portions were very small. Food was good, was worth it because it was discounted, but wouldn't have been had it been full price.
D. M.
Very friendly and efficient staff, food very hot but overly greasy.
a. k.
Staff friendly, service good, had rump steak, asked for cooked medium, came very rare, my wife had mixed fish pasta, some of the pasta was hard, other than that, nice atmosphere, reasonable price.
J. E.
Brilliant! Used to go to Harvester in Lincoln but now we are making Mill Lodge Beefeater our go-to regular place for lunch and dinner with friends. Free parking without having to go into the city in the Canwick Hill traffic is also a blessing.
y. w.
Called in on way back from Scarborough ,made welcome with all covid restrictions adhered to . Had lovely lunch served by friendly waiters . Would recommend
C. T.
Came to beefeater for a meal with my girlfriend and we were both plesantly surprised by the entire experiance. We were welcomed by a manager who was very kind, smiley and polite and told us that we would be served today by Bradley. Bradley then came over, got us our drinks and our food orders sttaight away. He kept on getting us new glasses of pepsi when we were nearly at the bottom of our glasses without us even asking ( free refills! ) and then carried on to give us lovely service with smiles and manners the whole way through. The business is very lucky to have someone like him to be a part of their team.
D. P.
The food is good and staff are better. Prices not too bad for what you get. The steaks are excellent and cooked to perfection .
M. H.
The service was very friendly & efficient, even tho it was quite busy we didnt wait long for our food to arrive which was also very good, We did think the drinks were a tad pricey tho.

Awesome food, Awesome staff, cannot fault it.
P. C.
As an early lunchtime diner we weren't quite given the treatment of a less busy restaurant on this occasion. No offer of condiments, which we fetched ourselves. Otherwise, the food was ok & typical of a Beefeater restaurant.
S. H.
Food was good. Friendly staff. Clean and tidy throughout. Service from the kitchen was very slow.
S. l.
The meal was great. Excellent service, staff were wonderful. Overall the evening was lovely 👍
L. a. E. “. W.
We like the fact that we can book a table online and we are generally allocated the table at the time we specify. The selection of food is always adequate for me and I have no complaints about the quality/quantity.

we visited mill lodge in lincoln for a meal the service and the food was great but the drinks were a bit pricey especially spirits,my husband paid £5.98p for double whisky.this equates to £119.60p for alitre bottle, ridiculous!!
M. P.
Cracking place, friendly hardworking staff who are eager to please when approached. This place can get busy (especially at breakfast) and it's easy to see why.
D. R.
Fantstic service from all there. Particularly from our waiter who looked after us very well when my son was unwell.
Tasty and well priced food.

If it had more stars I would give it more I have been to this place a few times and every visit is wonderfull the service is excellent and friendly I can't remember what I had last time but I know I left very satisfied and excited to come back today I had 100z steak the steak was cooked to perfection and was full of flavour it came with mushroom tomato and triple cooked chips with were equally tasty the only downside of it is, is the noice of other people who are dining but it is to be expected as the restaurant is very busy overall.a wonderfull place to come and for the price of the food with the service it's amazing i will visit quite regularly
J. M.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Menu is typically Beefeater with not a huge variety but we had a good meal.
