A friend of mine talked me into ‘trying Turkish’ and suggested Anar! I’m very glad she did, we shared a Supreme Breakfast (pictures attached) it was very, very tasty. It was also BIG and filling. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Usually I am a coffee drinker!..But very much enjoyed the tea which came with the meal. I very much enjoyed my visit and will definitely return to try more from the menu!

Tasty Food. Nice Ambience. Good service. But you got to book in advance because they are always FULL. If you just walk in, I'm not sure if you will get a seat. If you are into Kebabs, do visit 🙂

I went to Anar at 11.30am today and the waiter told us that the kebab would not be served until 12.00 but we could order first. We then ordered the mixed kebab for 2 and it was delivered to us at about 12:10. The lamb chops were crispy and juicy! Great service too! Highly recommended!

Really well run Turkish restaurant with good value tasty food. Portions are huge and filling. All mains came with rice. The triple milk dessert was lovely. Convenient parking. Will come again next time we're in Liverpool.

It was my first time at Anar, my boyfriend had been before. It was absolutely lovely, the food was amazing, the staff where very attentive (without being in your face) it was very busy when we visited but everything ran very smoothly, the restaurant was spotlessly clean. These guys know how to cook a rice and a mix grill. Good quality food. I don't recommend calamari, but apart from that the food was quite good. The liver was fantastic. Thry also have some good beers and tea. I give them 4 stars for the average service and calamari, apart from that I recommend it and I think that it is a good place to get stuffed with delicious food. If is a warm day, I recommended you to stay on therase as will make a huge difference..

Visited here for my husbands birthday. We had a table for 9, its a good job 2 of the family were not able to come as the seating area didn't have adequate space for 9 people. It's a very popular restaurant. My honest opinion of our experience was the food was amazing, the service was not good. The staff were slow coming to take our orders. When we sat down we waited at least 30 minutes before the waiter came to take our orders and drinks orders at the same time. The food came quite quickly , but the service wasn't up to scratch. Waiters slow taking plates away, had to ask a few times. Having said that I've rated the restaurant on the food quality. 3 of us had lamb chops, 2 had ribs,1 had Adana kofta, 1 had chicken shish, the food comes with bowls of salad and rice or chips. Very tasty food, would recommend but please book as it is always chocker. The waiters just need to be more attentive as it is a busy restaurant. I would visit again tho.

This place is an example of customer service excellence and food quality. Greeted warmly by the gentleman at the entrance stand. Order the food and drinks.. the quality is remarkably good. There was a mistake in drinks as they delivered mocktails instead of cocktails and as soon as we told them they apologized and offered the cocktails with the price of the mocktails. Visited when I was up from London. Amazing amazing food. Can't fault it. One of the best Turkish places I've ever visited. I ordered the Ali Nazik and it was so tender and tasty.

Ordered starter and main meal, both delivered at same time, as for my main meal to be returned so not cold when I was ready for meal, manager came and sorted out as waiter didn't understand, was told I would get fresh main meal, main meal returned when ready but was very cold on edge so sent back, manager apologised, finally got hot meal, but had not read menu properly as it was a vegetarian meal, as I was expecting it to have lamb mince in it, so be careful!

Food is always on poinnt here and you can tell it is fresh and always piping hot when being served. I usually got for the lamp chops which are always succulent and tasty whilst my partner always goes for the falafel which are seasoned well and have just the right amount of crunch before you get to the warm soft centre. Service could be slightly better so communicate what you want clearly but apart from that, atmosphere and welcome vibes are always great.

We went to Anar, for my son’s birthday, despite very short notice and it been new years eve they mange to accommodate our party of 6, the place was absolutely packed and people queuing for a table , we felt well looked after and they throw a lovely show for my little one . I have been here on a few occasions and I have to say the quality of the food had never changed its all ways top notch, staff are all ways helpful and happy to help and know when to come to your table when you need them. Great atmosphere so chilled yet homily and even have tvs if you want to watch football or if that's not on they have music videos playing. Theres not alot of parking spaces but every time I have been I have alway got to park right near the door. I have to say thank you to all the staff you are always making the experience the best it can be and I can not wait to come back again. 100% recommended, must go or you will be missing out

The most amazing Turkish food! I had Sigara for a starter and it was one of the best things I’ve eaten. The price was so good for the quantity served (we had the lunch menu - 2 courses for £12.95). We dropped in for some lunch with our young daughter and we’re seated instantly. The menu was easy to understand and has plenty of options which is always good imo. We ordered a kids chicken nuggets which came out in a good time. My wife and I ordered the Sarme with lamb mince and a feta cheese salad, we shared the lot. The food was lovely and in all honesty got me looking at the breakfast menu for a return visit. Service was tentative with a good amount of check-ins to ensure our visit was going well. Value is really good, the two dishes were plenty for two adults to share and the kids meal was a good portion size too. Overall - food was really nice, staff tentative and price was modest. Would recommend and return! Well done 👍🏻

Good food. Good service. Reasonably priced Arrived without a booking, mid Sunday afternoon. The place was fairly quiet when we arrived, plenty of available tables, was a lot busier when we left. Clean and comfortable surroundings and good service. Ordered a mixed kebab for two to share ( £27.99). And a side of chips although it did come with rice. It also came with a good side salad. The kebab was a mix of various cuts of lamb and chicken and very tasty. More than adequate for two (with the chips). We finished with baklava with ice cream and Turkish coffee (all excellent) . All told the bill was £47.30. Not the cheapest place in Liverpool but, given the quality and quantity, reasonable value.

The food was superb. 10 out of 10. The service however was lacking. I went on a busy Saturday night in a group. The place was generally busy and it appeared that the staff were prioritising a bigger group. We couldn't order our drinks in one go. We were rushed into ordering our food. And rushed to leave as soon as our bill was presented. I wouldn't return on a typically busy weekend. Maybe midweek when it's quieter, the staff may be able to cope better then.

The atmosphere and the idea of being able to sit inside or outside under a transparent roof appealed to us for a while now! It looks particularly beautiful with lights lit up around the outside in the evening. Yesterday, my partner and I finally gave in and went to Anar. The food and portion size is of great value for money. I strongly recommend and would eat there again! Their cocktails and mocktails are also amazing! The only downfall is the lack of vegan options and very limited vegetarian options. Nonetheless, the options they do have are very nice! In short, I recommend giving it a try!

Well, the food is delicious. But the service is poor, slow. I found the waiter a bit discriminating although he knew that I am Turkish. He didn’t pay attention to my table. Felt ignored. When some British customers came in, he approached them in a friendly manner and served them quicker. Overall, the food is nice, but the staff service lacks of professionalism.

Overall very stylish and modern definitely got the Turkish vibe. The food was good and the waiting time was as said. Also provided entertainment which is a plus for those that like Sheesha they have that available in the conservatory area looks nice. For me the only thing was a little more lighting prefer to see my food not eat in dark. Also the seating although it's nice and stylish I would say it was not suited. I had to move forward so no back rest but that for me was minor but older person could find it difficult.

Why haven't I been here before!? Table for 7 catered for including a vegan and celiac (gluten free). The food was delicious! We all enjoyed our dishes and they were all large portions. None of us could finish everything! Our waiter, Markus, couldn't do enough for us. So friendly and welcoming. The only thing that spoilt it was the noisy table across the room, so we struggled to hear our conversations. Much better after they'd left. But that's no reflection on the restaurant. Would definitely recommend and I'd go again.

Don't really know how staff expecting group of people to eat salad from the same bowl!!!Lets move to the main dishes ...Meat and chicken was really nice very tender I had grilled salmon which was slightly over done but thats my personal preference that salmon should be more moist but I did enjoyed it anyway.Vegetables that was served with salmon was very over done i would called that mashy-smashy vegs disappointed!Now moving to the rice...What a horrible,disgusting texture of rice in my worst dreams i could not imagen that someone can actually cook rice the way it was...it was sticky,with a test of some off oil or something like that even thinking now about this rice made me feel sick!please avoid rice in this restaurant!Then in any other turkish restaurants I been after ur dinner u got turkish tea for free as a complementary drink and in Anar we had 4 pieces of turkish delights on the plate together with the bill!!!! Can u believe it?!Is this restaurant ever heard about health and safety!Come on,please use a common sense!u dont put sweets on the tray where other people putting cash!!!!Or at least put that sweets on the tissue if u dont have a separate saucer!I must say that was an experience!My verdict its only worth it for take away and only for BBQ as meat and chicken are really nice.

It's really worth a visit and the variety of food is tremendous we would definitely go again .the only complaint was from the men who said it would be nice to have a draught pint of lager .

Lovely food , usual Turkish BBQ selection but very tasty. Staff presentable, polite and attentive without being intrusive. Had efes Turkish beer at £3-50 a 330ml bottle ,500ml bottle on the menu for £1 more but none available. Corona, peroni also priced the same, no draught. Restaurant was spotless could see cooking as open plan kitchen. We had halloumi and calamari for starters both tasty and perfectly cooked, served with salad garnish. Mains Adana kofta @£9-99, 2 thick skewers of minced lamb spiced with a little kick of chilli ,not spicy just flavoursome. ( a change from other restaurants which taste like a burger on a stick!) Other main was mixed shish @11-45 1 skewer each of lamb and chicken both grilled and spiced perfectly. A small portion of rice and cous cous was served with each meal we asked 1 to be served with fries instead but both had rice on when served . A portion of fries was brought to us shortly after for which the waiter apologised. We also had some tahini which was served with fresh bread , again very nice . We both enjoyed our meals and would recommend and return . There are cheaper choices and many hot and cold starters to choose from on the menu so give it a go. My only suggestions to the restaurant is : state what is served with the mains, we had to ask, and rice is served by default , why not ask the customer or add small amount of each? (Fries) and put a menu on your website and possibly at your entrance . Thanks for the lovely food we will return .
