Recently visited for my wife's birthday breakie. The food was unreal, possibly the best breakfast in Liverpool. Bold claim I know, but honestly it was delicious. Staff were boss too, very friendly chatty waiter, great service.

Really great breakfasts - couldn't fault mine to be fair. I don't eat black pudding so it's missing from the plate. The weakest element was the potato rosti, everything else was good quality ingredients and cooked to perfection. Everyone enjoyed theirs, with cleared plates all round. Great chilled vibe (at least during the day) with friendly and very capable staff - the cocktails were very well executed with proper balance. Also great music I pilfered a few of the selection for my holiday playlist!

Nice atmosphere in this eatery with good music and extremely good food. The staff were friendly, but slightly inattentive. Unfortunately, they did get my order completely wrong and served me a meal I did not request. Despite this, I still ate it as there was nothing offensive in the dish. When I informed the waitress about this mistake, they took this meal off our final bill, even though I still ate and enjoyed the meal. We came here for lunch and so it was not extremely busy, with a fairly lax attitude from the workers. This is likely what caused the mistake. I would recommend coming here either in the morning for breakfast or in the evening, whenever they have more custom.

An absolute outstanding place. Staff were very friendly, wonderful atmosphere and decor. We had their Sunday Roast, one of the best I've ever had, at first it didn't look too much but oh how it hits the spot just right. And the dessert, proper thick and fluffy pancakes with Nutella and strawberries. All absolutely delicious, will absolutely be returning one day.

To start, the staff were super helpful and kind. We had breakfast there twice which was very filling and delicious. It was probably the best breakfast we ever had. There is a large variety of foods and drinks. I visited with my wife and three kids, and we all have different preferences therefore it is hard to make everyone satisfied. However Clockworks fulfilled all of our wishes and criteria. The atmosphere was also great. Overall, one of the best restaurants we have ever eaten at, if not the best.

Called in for drinks only, but restaurant seemed really busy too, chilled out no hassle vibe and staff can't do enough, friendly and efficient. Good choice of drinks and well priced. Live music was a guy on guitar covering all sort of genres and don't know who he was but he was really good and fitted in well. Not a fish lip in sight, nor kids, but still had a good mixed age range.

Made up with my visit Clockworks. I wasn't familiar with it at all but three of us went in for food and drinks and it was quality. The menu was not what I was expecting but it was fantastic. The Brisket Po Boy was amazing and I can't recommend it highly enough. Lots of selection behind the bar as well with some lovely beers on draft. Service was top notch. Laid back vibe inside; families with kids, customers with dogs and groups of friends having a great time. Will defo be going back 👌🏻

Went there on bank holiday Monday. Waiters were very friendly and helpful, yet still laid back. Food was excellent. The pie is great value. Portions are generous. I had the Glasgow mess to myself, not realising it's a sharing dish! It was beautifully presented. Included deep fried Mars bar and Snickers. Just about managed to finish with help from my family since it was so delicious but would recommend sharing. Soft drinks are reasonably priced.

We ended up going in this bar every night of our stay in Liverpool, on our return visits after the first night the bar staff instantly recognised that we had come in again. Came here for breakfast with the family. Quite a wait for the food, but when it arrived it was fabulous. I got the butchers breakfast - best breakfast I have had in a long time. My two eldest kids got the forager veggie breakfast and that was fab, whilst the youngest opted for the pancakes which were equally delicious. Oh and top music playing throughout. Thoroughly recommend. 👍

There's nothing to fault about Clockworks. I visited with a few friends at the start of a long day and night out in Liverpool, and we couldn't have picked a better location. Far enough from the main drag of the city centre to feel secluded, and producing one if the finest full English breakfasts I've enjoyed in a very long time. Super friendly staff as well, who had plenty of good recommendations for other interesting bars in the area. Thanks guys!

Clockworks has to be one of my favourite places to get breakfast. We always take people here when we have visitors from out of the city. With its industrial interior mixed with a steampunk feel, Clockworks is a very clean, welcoming and well located bar, almost hidden out of the way in the same square the Cream Club was. The food is absolutely fantastic, when we went one of the breakfast items wasn't ready yet, so they changed it to something else which worked really well, it came out quick and it's reasonably priced. Portions were very generous and staff were very friendly. Worth a visit for the door knocker alone.

I have been for breakfast and the place looks very cool and chilled. The staff is very friendly and willing to help deciding what to have. Food is good, but not as good as I thought it was going to be from the reviews. Mildy disappointed, because I was expecting something great, not just good. Stay away from the gluten free, vegan free desserts, one we tried was dry, the other claggy. The team are incredibly friendly and professional, the chef even came to apologise for the desserts. Dating he knew they where not great, and explaining how difficult it is to make vegan and gluten free desserts... We are not vegan or gluten free, they are 2/3rds of the desert menu options. Nice bar and venue, I would definitely go back for a drink. I must also mention, that they had a young lad playing a guitar and singing for atmosphere... Really talented, and a really nice touch.

Excellent location with cracking food. The atmosphere and decor has had some real work put and the staff clearly love the place. We had breakfast and stayed for coffee and dessert, such was the quality of the menu and the chat. The ingredients were clearly fresh and it was well cooked, with great service and attention to details. I have never before heard of or enjoyed a Glasgow Mess. Holy type 2 diabetes, Batman!

Exploring the back streets of Liverpool took us to Parr St. came to the end of it, and took the pathway towards the Hanover car park. Somewhere in between, we caught sight of this place and decided to try out their place. It was quiet for a Saturday pm. but the cheery bar attendant gave us a warm welcome and took our orders. The interior spoke volumes I couldn't help but check out the surroundings. The toilets in particular caught my attention. It reminded me of a scene out of the Mad Max movie. (If anyone remembers.) Hot chocolate and coffee good. In other words found this an enjoyable place

Stumbled across Clockworks recently in Liverpool after a couple of places were fully booked and made up they were. Really nice bar hidden away from the busy streets in this area of Liverpool. Very friendly staff and a lovely place to sit. Good size outdoor area at the back and some seating at the front. Large openable window at the front which lets plenty of fresh air into the bar. Reasonable prices and good selection of beers.

It's a nice place, I'd definitely rate it for the evening/night drinks, you can tell it would be a good night out. We went in the day for lunch in the afternoon, and I wasn't too chuffed about being put in the corner & unable to change tables, even though we had booked a few days before. The food was good, but not really any clean eating kinda options, which I really expected from what I'd seen online. Needless to say, the food was decent, but maybe up your game with a broader range of soft drinks or alcohol free alternatives. Those few negatives been said, it would have been 5 stars! Would probably try again on another visit, seemed a cool & quirky area to start your day/night in.

Discovered this place for breakfast from the reviews on Google and found it in a quiet street on the way to the cathedral from the centre of town - food was really nice and staff were lovely but took a really long time for the food and coffees to arrive but suspect it was a particular busy day. Have to say the breakfast was great - recommend "The Gardener" as halloumi was done to perfection and the most delicious buttery scramble I've had! Recommended.

This place is my go too, it’s amazing the food is great the staff are amazing helpful and friendly, I even got to stay a night in their apartments this week. I didn’t know they had rooms, I’d booked to stay somewhere else in Liverpool and when I turned up there it was filthy no water no lifts so I left, went for my tea at clockworks and the guy there told me there was rooms there. I was lucky to be able to book it that evening and it was a dream, well equipped very clean and comfy bed. Highly recommend if your staying in Liverpool for food, drinks and a stay over. 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

We’re on a break in Liverpool so after looking at reviews thought we would try this place . So pleased we did . We both had the Ribeye Steak which was so tasty and tender , the chips were lovely too , homemade . We shared the apple pie for dessert which was served hot with ice cream , delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and we had a nice gap in ordering our food to receiving it , everything was perfect . There was a good atmosphere in the place too .

Owner reached out privately since to apologise which was much appreciated. Came for our evening meal, the server Jake was a great host and made some Stella recommendations, not a single complaint about the choices of food and meals and drinks were tweaked for personal preference even though it was busy. Visited here today for my birthday! Wow you've got to try this place, we had afternoon tea (my first, yes, my first) and it was beautiful, I've a new found love for macaroons, from the minute we walked in to the second we walked out we had fantastic service from all members of staff. The best meal I’ve had in all of England. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. They were incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and The cocktails were perfect! The food ( cheese plate, seasonal pie & stuffed chicken) was so good we all cleaned our plates! We took our dessert home and even after walking all the way back the dessert did not disappoint!! I highly recommend and should I ever return to Liverpool this will be my first stop for food!

Everything we ordered was delicious and a lot of thought and effort had clearly gone into each dish. The service was fantastic and the prices were pretty reasonable. My only negative would be that the selection of beers isn't the best, although my friend had a Guinness and said it was the best he'd ever had outside of Ireland so they clearly look after their beer well.

We booked our work Christmas meal here and it was absolutely fantastic. The restaurant is unfortunately in the midst of a construction site at the moment which caused a bit of confusion for some of my colleagues who were walking around in circles trying to find it but it's well worth the search! The food was delicious and the cocktails were amazing. The staff serving us were all friendly and attentive, even with such a large table of guests. I'm planning to go back soon as I've heard great things about the breakfast and I need to sample another cocktail (or five!).

Given that the place was not busy, I did expect a little better. We were a party of 3 just for an evening meal. We ordered the Buffalo Wings for starters which were more vinegary than spicy. They were not that great. I followed my wings with he steak. It was cook as I asked for but the meat was quite poor quality. The chips were also undercooked, and tasted like oven chips tbh. My friend had fish and chips and said the same about the chips, but did say the fish was really good. The service was friendly and attentive, and I was thankful of that, but the kitchen could do so.much better. Come on guys, it's a great place you got there, and I would have loved to give you a glowing review, but I have to be honest.

Nice place, but dead on a Saturday night. Also, the beer list was very underwhelming. I think I expected better selection than just standard beers I could find anywhere. When asked about their craft selection, they had 1 can in the fridge. A little disappointing. The food was good however. I had the pork cheek and my wife had the stuffed chicken. Really good food..Breakfast served till 13.00, lovely big portions with hot plates, great value for money..I had the Gardeners breakfast..smashed Avocado, wilted spinach, halloumi, mushrooms, potato scone,tomatoes, toast and eggs done whatever way you like!!! What's not to love? The rest of the girls had the traditional brekkie and said best sausage and bacon they'd had for ages..the staff are great, laid back and nothing was too much trouble..next time we're in Liverpool we'll be back 👍

The last time I went, it was a group of about 6 people and we ordered several things, which I can't remember exactly the names of what ordered. But all good! As well as the sushi/sashimi etc, we also ordered some side dishes like edamame and also a delicious Taiwanese pork rice. Was so good! Delicious! I did some research before hand and realised that this place was spacious inside ,with the option of sitting outside too. Went on a sunday for a 3 course meal, waited an hour for a soup which in the end was told they'd basically forgotten about us and it would be another half an hour, baring in mind I'm pregnant and my partner is type 1 diabetic and was going low! So we skipped to the main course, I had a chicken roast and he had the beef roast, was quite nice but portions werent that big and the gravy was sticky with red wine in, not to my taste! Right from the moment we walked in we wanted for nothing, the staff are second to none. Very accommodating and just couldn't do enough for us. The food was fantastic, my daughters ordered the burger and said it was the best burger they've ever had! My son is a very fussy eater, yet, he finished a whole meal for the first time ever in a restaurant, and he ate desert too!
