D.This place is a little gem in Liverpool. From the cozy and warm environment, to the service that is absolutely outstanding. The food is delicious, well presented and absolutely satisfying! We came back twice. We are lucky that this restaurant is close to our home, but it is definitely worth a trip. Ask advice to the waiter regarding the food, they will be able to guide you through Nepalese cuisine. Well deserved 5 stars.
p. l.Just got home from the most amazing meal I've had in a long time. The food was amazing everything was so flavourful and tasty. Would definitely recommend the fried vegetable mini ball starter hands down best vegetable dish ever 😂. The grilled meats are seasoned so well personally the poleko chicken it is still delicious. The gurka bread is such a nice refreshing bread to go with the grilled meats.
When I first mentioned that I had booked there to someone they told me it was hands down the best restaurant on South road and now I'm going to have to agree.
10/10 would recommend

A. P.It was our first time going here and we didn't know what to expect, but honestly it's was mouthwateringly delicious.
It seems Nepalese food likes to use mint a lot, which I very much love. It's similar to Indian food in a way, if I had to choose what it was closest too, but it's way nicer. The spice levels do range but each dish tells you whether it's mild, medium or hot and you can ask for it to not be spicy if you prefer.
The price was actually well worth it, it wasn't expensive, for how fancy the restaurant and the food presentation was I expected it to be more, but actually it's not. The starters ranged between about £3-£8 depending what you got and whether you had the meat/fish starters. Mains on average were between £10-£15 and sides, such as the ghurka potatoes, bread and rice, which we had, were around £3.
And on top of that you get free poppadoms and dips, amazing!
The service was excellent and the servers were kind, caring and very prompt.
Definitely one of my favourite restaurants, we'll be going back there soon for sure.
Also to explain my pictures; one is of the side dishes, the ghurka bread, the ghurka potatoes, the ghurka rice, the last two both came with their own bowl of curry like dip.
Another is my main, the lamb and chicken grill, it comes with what tastes like sweet pickled beetroot, carrot and cabbage in the middle.
The last one is a picture of our starters, Nepalese dumplings (called momo) on the long black plater, they come with a curry sauce on top. Poleko chicken, which was so tasty I wish I had it as a main. Then finally tarkari or tarkeri, I'm not sure how to spell it but they were divine (also on our plates in the photo). They sort of tasted like a mix between an onion bhaji and a pakora but so much nicer and with veggies in the middle. I definitely recommend them but they are a little bit spicy, but in a nice way.

D. F.Lovely friendly greeting at the door by the Captain (owner) seated at our table then 2 x complimentary papadams with 4 delicious dips came out. Mint and honey, beetroot and lime, a fresh salsa and blow your socks off chilli dip. Such a beautiful touch as these days you do not getting anything complimentary. Had Chicken for main and it was delicious with a thick curry sauce, lamb was delicious that my friend had with cashews, cream and honey. Gurka bread and 2 shared Gurka rice. All 6 of us so enjoyed our starters and mains.
The owner is such a happy and jovial man and a good entertainer. The staff are lovely and they gel well as a team. Hugs goodbye and would highly recommend this beautiful restaurant and incredibly delicious 😋 food. 5 stars 🌟 Gurka from the Aussie and family who dined on Friday night.

Never had Nepalese before and wasn't sure what to expect. If I had to explain it to someone, I'd say it's like clean Indian cuisine. Just like Thai is a clean Chinese cuisine. All lovely in their own way. I hope that makes sense.

and attentive, there isn't a massive range of food on the menu but the grills and starters were delicious and nicely spiced. The main dishes were more along the lines of spicy stews than anything you would expect from a Classic Indian restaurant. Everything we ordered was tasty and looked great. Prices are very reasonable and the restaurant seems very clean and well maintained.

Edit: 08/07/2020. This restaurant is by far my most favourite restaurant in the world. The food is always perfect here and the owner and all the staff are very friendly. They will looks after you and make sure you have an amazing meal. As they have reopened they are being very careful with the new regulations and I look forward to visiting here more often having missed the food and the staff for the last 3 months!

The starters were great, mini - a steamed dumpling - were great to start you up. Following was a rich lamb curry with their house rice.
They have a selection of foods that aren't spicy of that's what you're into. But then again, why go?

f.I cannot praise this restaurant enough, ran by the jolliest man I know he would give old saint Nick a run for his money.
From the moment you walk in the door you are treated as an old friend visiting their home, nothing is too much trouble. With a full vegetarian, vegan and meat based menu they cater for all tastes. I have now eaten here four times, had different starters and mains and cannot fault a single dish. Beautifully presented and even better tasting I don't believe you can have bad meal here. The owner and chef definitely know what they're doing.
I will be returning again and again!

R. L.I found Da Ghurka Fine Dining whilst looking for a Nepalese restaurant on Google Maps and it is one of those stunning surprises that happens very occasionally in life. From the outside it could be missed very easily, being understated in a road full of places to eat but I am so glad I found it. The interior is comfortable and has a relaxing atmosphere and the manager is so friendly and helpful, offering advice on choices that didn't disappoint. I am a vegetarian and wanted to try Momo dumplings, a Nepalese dish that is traditionally a meat dish and when I told the manager this when I booked the table he said he would have some vegetarian Momos ready for the evening. He was good to his word and they were delicious as indeed was all of the food. I have been here a few times now and keep taking friends there who haven't experienced it. This is a very enjoyable place to eat. I continually recommend it and will return myself as soon as possible.
