We booked a table of 4 for a birthday meal. Was our first visit but certainly won't be our last! The staff were pleasant and explained some of the dishes on the menu as we had never tasted Nepalese food before. Our starters were served quite quickly and once we were finished, the staff checked if we were ready for our main courses before bringing them. Our food was absolutely delicious. The perfect mix of flavour and spice! We really enjoyed our visit and will most certainly be returning. Thank you so much.

This is the best food one will find in Liverpool. Simple as. For those who have seen all my other reviews, you know I am picky but quite fair. So let me be clear. When it comes to Indian Nepalese.... Nothing is better. The owner main chef has been in the industry for 30 plus years. Has run extremely high end locations all over. But now owns a very humble looking establishment. Don't be put off by the simple nature of the looks. Simple tables. Simple menus. The smells out of the kitchen are divine. I think over my last 3 visits I have worked my way through most the menu. But to tonight we had chicken Dhede Khursan. Spicy spicy spicy. Holy hell, it just melts in your mouth. The flavours are not about knock you out hot. They are about that poignant balance of flavours which sublimely take this a new level. Please. Don't think this place is just a run of the mill Indian shop. Nope. Please check this out. It's worth the effort. Not often I don't take pics. I wish I had. The food was so good pics was the last thing I thought I needed to be doing.

Just returned from a 3 month trip to Nepal trekking around the Himalayas so have had fair share of Nepalese food. The menu disappointed a little bit on the Nepalese side and the traditional Dahl BAHT and momos where average. The rest of the menu is mainly Indian based curries and skewers, but they do serve Everest beer which is a local one. We were a party of 14 and they handled us very well! This was our third time dining here and as always, it's to a standard. Nepalese food has a good spin on the anglised Indian menu. A wide range of hot, to mild and sweet curry. Meat, fish and vegetarian options. Prices reasonable, service quick. Would recommend.

I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for flavours, spice and food that just hits the spot. As someone who’s grown up with subcontinental flavours - this is probably one of the best restaurants if you’re a fan of authenticity and food that does NOT trigger IBS!! The momos (veg) are just delicious and very similar to gyozas. There’s a great range of starters including platters which are great if you can’t choose just one! The mains are filled with variety and all sound appetising. The curry’s have an authentic feel to it, in comparison to other places which all taste the same and packed full of oil. The fish bhutwa is my wife’s (pescatarian) fav, and the tarka dhal is my (vegetarian) go to! You must try some of the stuffed breads! The onion and chilli! Service is faultless and the venue has a nice cosy feel to it, yet still managed to socially distance us from other patrons. We’ve come back with our family too who were wowed too! Anytime we’re craving a curry, or if friends come over - this is that hidden gem of a restaurant you must come to!

I've been to this restaurant. Over 10 times and in my opinion. It's the best Nepalese restaurant in the North West to go to it. It but but I advise you always book a table because it gets quite busy. But it's closed on Tuesdays

The food here is outstanding and they serve it with hot plates ~ a rarity these days I find. However, the waiting staff were not very attentive and the kitchen service was dreadful. We had to ask to order, after waiting for 30 minutes! Then it took another 30 minutes for the starters to arrive. 45 minutes later the main courses arrived. Again, the food was exceptional in every way, but being ignored and kept waiting for so long really spoiled the evening.

Never had a bad meal here. It's always delicious. Service is great nothing is too much trouble and always happy to recommend something or adjust the spice to your tastes. Also shows how good a place is when the chef comes out after you've finished to make sure you were happy with the meal and is genuinely made up if you have. After the covid lockdowns it was a relief to see these guys still open. Our party included Vegans but we still had plenty of dishes to choose from and sample. The food, as usual, was excellent and cooked to perfection with a multitude of flavours to stimulate the palate. The staff were warm, friendly and attentive. Wonderful little place in Crosby! If you're ever looking for somewhere to eat definitely try the food here :) just had the most amazing meal at a really decent price too. ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL FOOD AND SERVICE Visited this place last night - the food was outstanding and presented beautifully (check other reviewers pictures) whilst the welcome was warm. The menu was reasonably priced with plenty of veggie options to everyone's taste but wasn't over-extensive to the point where you think the quality may suffer. It was just right. I am quite hard to please when it comes to dining out - particularly when it comes to curry. For the starter I had the chicken and onion balls in hot & sour sauce and my main was one of the hot chicken curries. I must say that both dishes were incredibly flavoursome and delicious - as were the veggie dishes I got to taste as well. One of the things I liked the most is that there were nice chunks of veg in both of my dishes - not just meat and sauce as a lot of places seem to do these days. There is no doubt we will return here very soon with more of our friends as this place really did tick all the boxes and we all left absolutely delighted with the experience. The staff really were so welcoming and the chef even came out to say hello which was a lovely touch. This was by far the best curry I have had in a very, very long time 👌🏼 and despite the fact I live in South Liverpool, I will be back very soon. Oh, did I mention it's only £3.90 a pint? 😃 Well done Da Mount Gurkha 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

Love this place. Couldn't fault in the slightest! The staff are friendly, welcoming and so attentive - plenty of staff on hand even though a relatively small place. Food is amazing and the staff are so proud of it which is always good - especially when it is authentic Nepalese. Such good flavours and I would imagine something for everyone. Even caters for kids too. Drinks are not silly prices, the food is served quickly and is really well presented. Loved every bit of the night and already want to go back. Brilliant, highly recommend!

There's a gang of us that meet up here roughly once a month. We are always well looked after with warm hospitality, the food is always magnificent. Plenty of choice for the hippy vegetarian! (me) The Paneer dishes are always outstanding. Nothing much more to say really. Support your local restaurants, make sure they survive!

It was a choice call between 4 and 5 stars. Unfortunately Google doesn't allow 4.5. the food was amazing, the staff were lovely and would definitely come back here again. The only slight, and it's a very slight disappointment was the restaurant felt very open and light, I personally prefer a slightly darker room. But as I can't give 4.5 it's as good as a 5 star other than my own issue, which for many won't be an issue. Would return here. Also the fish starters so not specify on the menu which fish it is.

Decided to go for an Indian tonight for tea with my partner and 11 year old daughter, googled best Indians near me and this came up with 4.9 stars. Read all the reviews saying best Indian around.. and it truly was. We all got starters and mains and couldn't fault any of it, all was 10\10. The lady who was our waitress was a lovely and very helpful with helping us decide what to get. She also kept asking my daughter was she ok and was our food ok? As we had finished our meals and was waiting for the bill, the chef came out and spoke to each table and was asking was everything okay with the food and was there any problems. Top chef... will definitely return every time I want an Indian.. :-)) Thank you very much and will see you all again soon.. :-)

Outstanding food. Too often, South Asian cooking (and I am lazily including Nepalese here) is really sub standard with far too many dishes, all tasting the gloopy same. Not here! Well worth a visit, or a taxi ride from out of the area.

Amazing food, complex flavours and the depth to the taste was fantastic. I've eaten a lot of curries including Nepalese over the years and this is probably one of the best I've ever had. The service and atmosphere were also very good and the price is very reasonable for what you receive.
