Had a cod dinner as there were no scampi or kalamari. The fish was nice but there was far too much batter on it to my liking. Chips were nice but the mushy peas weres too dry. No value for money in my opinion... A shame, used to be so much nicer...

I have been eating at Docklands for over five years, and have always been served with excellent food by friendly and helpful staff. Superb quality fish and chips, and I speak as someone with over sixty years experience of dining on those products!

Excellent fish and chips (we had the Haddock) and the onion rings were fabulous. Quick efficient service. There is limited seating, but we were lucky to grab a spot. Great for takeout too. Highly recommend during a visit to Liverpool.

Presentation looks good, food came in very quickly as well. You can only pay with cash! However, in my opinion the food was plain and the fries were soaked in oil. Paid a bit over 10 pounds for this, a bit pricy for what you get. Not sure if this was close to authentic fish ‘n chips, but not impressed if it was.

A very good fish and chips place in Liverpool. It was my first fish and chips in Liverpool, and i really loved it. The place is clean, always crowded. It’s a more casual place, but worth visiting if you’re on the docks. We had to wait a bit to get a decent table for 3, and the service was a bit slow, but the place was crowded so it’s understandable. Overall definitely worth trying!

Possibly the best fish and chips in all of Liverpool. It's not the cheapest, but well worth the price. The fish was cooked to perfection and the chips are outstanding. They were made from freshly sliced potatoes, forming these big chunks that were nice and soft on the inside, but crunchy on the outside. The atmosphere in Docklands is also superb. You can tell it's a labour of love for these folks, because they serve everything with a smile.

Looking for a place to eat prior to going to the M&S Arena, this was the only place where there was no pre - booking. There was only two members of staff and the place was heaving, but they got stuck in and served everyone with a big smile and plenty of humour. Well done to both of you, you deserve a medal . 🏅🏅🏅🏅

Beautiful food!! Stayed in liverpool for 3 days and only tried here on the last day, really disappointed I didn't try it sooner as I definitely would have visited more than once. Will definitely be back in the future. Huge range of drinks available including alcohol! Prime location on the Albert Dock.

A good fish and chips place in Liverpool, but if I would have to compare it with the fish we had in Australia, this one was a bit too oily for my taste. The place is clean, always crowded and the service was a bit slow but the staff was friendly. What was a bit of a discomfort was that we had to pay in cash and we did not have any, as we use only our cards, so I had to go to an ATM while one of us was sitting in the restaurant.

Probably the freshest cod I've had with a fish and chips. Absolutely delicious. Served in a large box with a decent portion of delicious chips, mushy peas and garnish of sliced pickle and baby pickled onions. Unusual garnish but went perfectly. We talked about how nice it was several times during the day, it was so good! Beautiful surroundings to enjoy your fish and chips. Perfect location and beautiful part of the world. Located in the historic Albert Docks, Docklands Fish and Chips is a great place for an easy meal, with seating inside or out. Quality is great and the food is very fresh, and the prices are fairly reasonable for the portion sizes. This location is cash only, and while the staff are very friendly, check your change.

Had signs in the window from 2019 saying best chippy in Liverpool, Liverpool must not be a good place for chippies. Filled a hole but £27 for two fish and chips a bottled beer and a can of pop is bilwidering.

Popped in for the first time while my Canadian cousin was over. We wanted to treat him to traditional British fish and chips, this place didn't disappoint! Amazing food! Fish was so beautifully cooked and the chips are exceptional. Also loving the surprise of a pickled onion and a gherkin (my favourite!). Great price and service to. I'll 100% be back!

Okay this bit will be a little embarrassing to say. I am from London and can say openly this place has the best cod and chips (fish and chips) in the whole of the country. The chips are the best that I have tasted. The place is small, they do not accept card payments and so only cash payments. They do kindly provide 1 tartar sauce and 1 ketchup free with the meal. Any additions and will cost you 25p a sachet. Staff are nice and certainly attentive.

We had a great time in Liverpool and decided to stop off at the restaurant before our long drive home. Fantastic fish and chips and good portion sizes. The fish was fresh and the chips were amazing. The owner even brought out 2 massive fresh cod pieces and I took a few pictures of me holding the pieces with disposable gloves. Even though it was busy we managed to get a table. I highly recommend a visit if you are in Liverpool.

The cost is an initial shock! If you manage to get past that shock you can understand why. The food is excellent quality. I've never tasted fish and chips that is so well made. Very tasty and a nice crunch to both. Treat yourself. 😋

Had the cod fish and chips. They were really good, even my partner agreed. Cod had a thin crispy batter, served with hand cut chips and mashed peas.. Everything was good, except that the young girl manning the counter had a bit of an attitude.. Nice place to eat, but marred by the service.. Oh yea, chef even came to check if we are alright with our food. That's a plus.

A busy little chippy with outside tables in an attractive location on the Royal Albert Dock. Only a few tables inside and there was a constant queue next to mine, but the service was very quick and I could not fault the meal! The chips were very good, lovely white fish and big helpings served with mushy peas, lemon slice, sauces, pickled onion and gherkin. They do other meals including sausages, pies and chicken and as well as the usual hot and cold drinks you can order beer and wine. Expensive for a chippy but it was good quality and I had a nice view of the dock too.

Great location for a chippie right on the water. Good menu with a lot of drink options though only one size of fish. The curry sauce is excellent. My second favorite chippie in Liverpool now. You won't go wrong with a visit here.

The fish and chips are excellent, one of the best that I ever had. We tried both cod and haddock, but I prefer haddock as it was very juicy. The fishes were very fresh, the owner showed us the fishes fillet. The staffs were very helpful and the owner was friendly, he gave lollipops to children.

The food here is extremely nice and on a par with the best "chippies" you'd find locals using in non tourist areas. I have to laugh though, the day it opened it had big signs in the windows announcing it was "world famous". Word obviously spreads fast!

Now for that price I'd expect to be served on proper plates ...not plastic and paper containers. So went to pay and told they don't take cards....directed to a nearby ATM....they must be on commission as it charges £1.85 to withdraw cash. When experience seems to detract from the delicious fish & chips. I don't think I will go back!

When I visit Liverpool, I HAVE to have my fish and chips in the World Famous Docklands and this year was no exception. Great traditional English chippy on the dock, spotlessly clean with about a dozen tables inside. Can't fault this place, live in the docks and a regular visitor aways fresh no warm ups etc. Only thing is its CASH ONLY but theres an ATM by the Beatles museum if your stuck. You won't be disappointed.

I can understand why it's voted top fish & chip shop in liverpool . all the times we have all eaten there it's been impeccable . There fish & chips have always been extremely fresh & so tasty . You can see It's cooked from fresh in front of you . It deserves its top vote . Well done to the Managment for keeping such a impeccable standard . Thank god Harry frozen fish ramsdens isn't there as like they others they've opend & they've quickly closed down . I'm not surprised as there fish & chips are like a Mc Donald's Well done the Docklands also for opening there 2nd one on Brunswick dock . Sefton street Ten of us went and again there fish & Chips & there new Italian fresh pizza restaurant is phenomonoul . There Freshly baked pizzas are equally as good as any we.v had in New York London Manchester or Itali . 10/10 . As for the price for it's amazing freshness in both of its establishments it's excellent compared to london & Manchester or any other tourist visiting place in England . 👍

We came here one cold wet winter evening just before a concert at the nearby Echo Arena. Nice to find a sit in 'Chippy' that is also licensed. What we weren't expecting was the complimentary tot of whisky to go with our coffee at the end of our meal; a really nice touch.
