Delicious food, excellent cocktails and colourful, fun decor. We especially enjoyed the nachos - great toppings & tortillas had a good crunch. Just be aware, though, that the burritos are mega in size, and could easily be shared between two. We'll definitely recommend this place, which is ideally located on Bold Street.

I don't often eat Mexican, so La Parrilla was a relatively new dining experience for me. Food here tasted decent, served nice and warm, with authentic ingredients and flavours. However, I did feel quite stodgy and congested towards the end. Maybe that's just Mexican food, I'm not sure! Price wise, La Parrilla is very reasonable, with meal deals to choose from if you're starving. The staff here are welcoming, very attentive and effecient when it comes to service.

Went here last Thursday. Good amount of outdoor seating and in the sun which is a bonus. Ordered drinks and I got a bubblegum daiquiri-which was amazing & probably one of the best I've had. Food wise, it was the early bird menu- the jacket potato skins were lovely, they where also up there. It was let down by the chicken fajitas! Did not like them one bit and there was so much oil. Probably wouldn't go again!

Best Mexican restaurant ever. Highly recommend if you’re in Liverpool. Authentic tasty food and friendly staff. I had lamb kebab and the lamb was extremely tender and tasty. My hubby had steak fajitas which again were sizzling & fabulous. Our boys had prawn burrito & nachos. Would definitely eat here again when we come for our next trip.

Lovely Mexican on Bold At. Called in on spec on a Saturday night, it was busy but we got seated straight away at a table in the window! We had Chimichangas , Enchiladas and Burritos between us, all of which were great! Only criticism I heard was San Miguel was not quite cold enough. I would happily return!

went in on Monday night. it was quite busy but the experience was still top notch nonetheless. seated quickly and staff were attentive. I had a bbq chicken burrito which was the size of my head. massive portion and really tasty. wish I could have managed the full thing. my girlfriend opted for the swordfish she said it was really good and was something different to try. overall was very happy. the cocktails were ok but nothing to rave about but the food was genuinely great.

The BEST chilli I have ever tasted! Had the nachos which came with beef chilli underneath and loads of tasty cheese. Hubby had the fajitas and the beef and chicken were full of flavour. Would recommend! Also really reasonably priced.

5 Stars to this Mexican restaurant, serving Margaritas on point and preparing ridiculously big courses (almost unacceptable!). Friendly staff, quick service, tasty nachos and those beans... oh jeez. I found the food not too spicy which is good to me. The only negative comment I have to say is that a fiver for a tequila shot is a robbery!

Great food with fantastic staff, lovely decor also. Went on Sunday afternoon for lunch and found we were in time for the discount off for a starter and a main for £13.95. Meals were of a decent size and filling without over doing it so overall got a bargain. Somewhat disappointed... Visited tonight having had a lovely visit previously but sadly tonight didn't hit the mark. Food wasn't as tasty as it was previously, slightly overcooked for sure. Service was a bit disjointed with different servers popping up and seemingly not aware of orders having already been taken etc. The tables are well distanced but the waitresses don't seem all too bothered about brushing past you whilst going up and down the narrow stairs, not ideal in the current climate.

Been before and enjoyed, however today I broke with tradition and had the 16oz steak. Unfortunately it was one of the worst I've had. Tough and stringy and I couldn't get through most of it. My wife asked me why I didn't complain whilst there and the reason was that we were there with our grand daughter and didn't want to embarrass her by making a fuss.

My meal was fine to be fair. Basic chilli beef. The staff were very apologetic and offered us a free drink by way of an apology. We had to decline however, as we were already late for a concert due to waiting 45 minutes for our meals. All in all, disappointing.

The food is good and there are a large selection of different drinks at the bar you should be sure to check out. The tables are clean and well dressed. They have Salsa lessons and social every Wednesday evenings up until midnight.

Good food full of flavour, not to spicey, front of house attentive, price wise great value. With a full house on a Thursday evening says allot, unfortunately for us kitchen messed up my wife's order resulting in my food being on the table 10mins before hers, however the front of house were honest and apologetic and removed our bottle of wine from the bill without any prompting. In summary a good honest restraunt serving lovely food, well worth the visit.

First ever visit and we got drawn in by it being called a tapas 'bar'. When we got in it was more formally set out with a semi formal table and no real bar so we were disappointed. We were quickly provided free nacho chips so couldn't leave... Staying was the best decision ever though. Strangely the staff didn't seem to like the Mexican guitar man outside... Not sure what's going on there.

Some days this American craves Mexican. Liverpool claims this is the best one. I suppose when you are the only one in central it's an easy claim. The prawn cocktail isn't a Mexican style at all. The rice was overly wet. The enchiladas and chimichangas are pale copies of what they should be. If one has never had real ones, they would be great. They were flavour filled. Good portions. Standing out, though, was the chicken quesadillas. I will be back just for them. Staff could be more attentive, as we had to wait longer than expected.

Great british take on Mexican food! While some may claim that this place serves traditional Mexican food, that is NOT true. So if you are from Mexico and are missing your traditional home food.... Unfortunatley you will not find that here. Nonetheless that does not take away from the quality of this restaurant, in fact it is the opposite! La Parilla have tried to take Mexican food and cater it to the British population, without crossing into that 'Tex-Mex' subcategory and the British love it! The atmosphere is great, the food tastes amazing and the portions are more than big enough for a filling and satisfying dinner. Definitely recommend!
