Maybe some of the interior is old but it's well kept . I call it clean old . Food is good . I wish it would open again soon. I don't like to see businesses close down.

I love the Ma Bo! Housed in Georgian China town, the decor hasn't changed for decades. The food is superb home cooking style, generous portions and inexpensive. We took some champagne and had a really fun dinner. This place is a landmark restaurant in Liverpool.

Great place, a basic workers cafe with a wide Northern China menu. I can recommend the wantons and the ho fun noodles and the near perfect alt and pepper squid. Be nice to Ma and she will look after you.

The food is alright. We had sweet and sour chicken and prawns with fried rice. But it is a tad expensive. Also, the interior is ghastly and staff barely speak English.

I've been going here since I was a youngster, it's definitely the best AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant in Liverpool. If you want real Chinese chefs cooking real Chinese food then this is the place, from the inside it even looks like a Chinese restaurant you'd come across if you were ever in China.

I'm a Cantonese Chinese. I've been to some big cities including London. It's the best Chinese restaurant I've ever tried in United Kindom. If you find that strange, it's just because it's real Chinese food, instead of the fusion thing used to fool foreign people.

Love this place first time was when my nan took me only ever have won ton noodle soup then even now still delicious and still the best for won tons since I tried many restaurants in Liverpool and Manchester even kowloon and Hong Kong..

We came from Wolverhampton and ate at this restaurant, the food here is delicious. Authentic! We experienced flavours we've never known existed. Soooo good. We recommend it to anyone in Liverpool. This place deserves to be recognised.
