Called in for lunch with my little granddaughter. High chair readily available. Food was lovely and all the staff made a fuss over her. really friendly staff. Nice big clean baby changing room. Atmosphere happy and warm. I will make the Alt a regular place to go for our lunch.

You will always get a warm welcome and a friendly smile from Vicky and the team. We eat there on a weekly basis and have NOT been disappointed yet. Food is great all at a reasonable price that suits everyone. VERY children friendly. THANK YOU guys keep up the GOOD work.

Leaving a review on here as me and my family spend a lot of time at this pub and find that it is a brilliant place to eat and drink. Food is always gorgeous. Service is always perfect and pub atmosphere is great. Lovely family friendly place with lots of friendly faces. Will always come here. The service and staff were great. The tables and cutlery were clean. I had the fish and chips my daughter went for piri piri roast chicken and a shared starter of salt & pepper mushrooms in a beer batter. The meals and starter arrived after a 10 minutes wait they were hot and well presented and very tasty. The mushy peas were tinned it would have been nice to have 'real' ones. My daughter ordered treacle sponge served with custard AND ice cream the waitress brought it over with two spoons and there certainly was enough for two. I found it difficult but was able to resist the temptation. All in all a very nice meal in a clean and friendly environment. Very reasonably priced, we had one starter, two meals, two sparkling waters and one dessert for just under £20. I Would recommend giving it a try.

This is a warm and friendly pub with a good atmosphere and great value for money food. We visited here as a small group as a get to together and a catch up with something to eat. Would recommend as a mid week bite to eat.

Amazing place, I was astonished. This is a meeting place for former kids tv presenters. Dave benson Phillips, Emma Forbes, trevor and Simon, Andy crane and others. Quite sad really, time has not been kind to some. Dave benson Phillips carries round a barrel of gunge and threatened to chuck it on anyone who went near him. Andy crane is agrophobic so the broom cupboard actually brought solice. Trevor and Simon still dont do duvets and the less said about Emma Forbes the better, all I will say is she was offering whoopsy for a burger, sad. On the plus side food lovely and well priced staff friendly!

The food is 5* food the chefs are so good at there jobs too . If you're new to Maghull or even fancy going out go Here it's one of the best pubs in Maghull and I would even say one of the best pubs in Liverpool
