I was just out for a,walk with my husband and daughter as it was a lively sunny day and decided to stop for refreshments. We decided on having some food and chose some hunters chicken nachos. They were the most tastiest ones I've ever had, the nachos were home made and large. They were so Moorish, from the barbecue sauce and spring onions and chicken they went down a treat. Definitely will be walking there again.

Watched the f.a. Cup semi final there. Drinks where nice and well priced. The hunters chicken with chips and bbq sauce was immense nice and crispy and quick to be served too.

Great family meal, 16 of us so we had the private room at the front. Bit of a wait for food, starters came out after some of the kids mains. Some of the kids mains came after the others had finished. Adults starter's and mains came out together... but it was all good food and great value for money.

Lovely food and really friendly staff. We happened to pick an evening when there was a dj and quiz on so it was a bit noisy for the kids. But it didn't lesson our experience. Will definitely be back.

Classic Huyton Pub with decent beer and wine prices. Friendly service and music mix was a little for everyone and just the right volume for the afternoon. Small outside area to the front and larger and much nicer area at the rear.

Service very slow. Multiple items not available. Waitress forgot to get our cutlery after food was already out. Got this ourselves. Had to hunt down a member of staff to pay when we had finished. Just been refurbished. Its horrible. Dark and gloomy. Lots of rustic wood. Depressing dark grey carpet( probably to hide the stains! ) Many of the comfy bucket chairs replaced with high tables and killer stools(could break an ankle if you fell off) Obviously catering for the larger lads end of market now. I predict a riot on a Sat.night. Not for the local gentry. Good is reasonable standard as usual pub grub.. Cheap n cheerful.

Arrived late on Sunday afternoon and hadn't booked but they fiyted us in. Glad they did as the roast dinner we had was the best I have ever eaten in a pub or restaurant. We waited a while to be given a menu but we had a drink and they were busy . But th meal ? Definatley worth it. Will be going back

We visited the Stanley Arms whilst staying at the premier inn just around the corner, I can honestly say that the food was really nice we had 2 breakfasts and 3 evening meals there was a young man there called Jonathan and he did every thing he possibly could to make us feel very welcome it was like dining in a top class restaurant with the service we were given, I am going to make the point of stopping off at this pub when we go to Liverpool again we enjoyed it so much A big thank you to all the staff especially Jonathan
