We dropped by on a whim as the whole family was starving, grumpy and tired bit were very pleasently surpised by the place. Food was very good and the prices very reasonable for the size and quality you get. It's also a place where the kids meals could feed an adult! Service was quick, friendly beyween serving us and the patrons at the bar. Parking around back or on the front with seating inside and outside.

Amazing service really helpful and had good banter. Food was out of this world had the crispy chilli beef and battered beer haddock and chunky chips would highly recommend both. Had assiette for desert was very generous and value for money. Overall service, food and value for money was good. Will be visiting again with rest of the family.

Fantastic food a year ago. This time felt like we were being ripped off. Plate full of chips and or rice with very small portions of actual main. Presentation was like a motorway cafe sadly. Gsve up today after waiting 20 mins to order a dessert and left. Chilli and beetroot Wellington below in photos. Both over £10 for effectively potatoes and rice.

Still the best pub locally for food! The food is fresh, hot, lots of it and definitely isn't the microwaved offerings of some other local pubs. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the tables are clean and well presented. We hadn't been here for a while and were concerned after reading some negative reviews . . We needn't have worried. The Welly is as good as always.

Well, I've heard so much about The New Wellie, I figured I'd pop in on the quiet and surprise them with a sly review. And I'm so glad I did. It was lunchtime so I didn't fancy anything too heavy, and their *puff pastry delight was just perfectly crisp on the upper surface and yet surprisingly moist and deliciously sweet underneath. This is no three minute microwave gaff with limp inspired Iceland frozen fayre. This is an improvement on the old Wellie (which had a warm friendly atmosphere anyway) but now it's brighter, lighter, more spacious and the food is divine. Well done Siouxie Sioux and Handsome Dave. But now I have to go back next week for a full Sunday Roast and Dessert. Hope my little Laura is behind the bar. Great staff. Great atmosphere. Great addition to the local food scene. Great service and very nice food. Highly recommend the hunters chicken which is a very good portion and served with nice fresh fries and decent portion of salad. Fish and chips was good too. Not too much batter and nice chunky chips with it. Staff were very attentive and helpful. Social distancing measures were in place and seemed to work well. Nice outdoor area with plenty of seating as well. Loads of car parking with a few spots on the front and a large dedicated car park around the back. Would definitely go again.

Visited on a Sunday so there was a limited menu. The food was good. The service too. Not sure I'd return. A bit expensive I loved the cauliflower starter but at £5 for a few bits of deep fried cauliflower it was a bit pricey. Table service was good. The layout of the pub/restaurant.

Great night out Madukes had Christmas meal here last night. Good atmosphere. Lovely food. Staff led by Anna are welcoming and efficient and were hilarious later when we started our ukulele playing to the packed pub and staff. All joined in in a big way. Lovely to entertain such a good audience. We all enjoyed a fab night. Thank you all for your hard work.

Lovely pub. Staff are lovely especially siouxie Food is nice and fresh. Decor is very modern too. Lunch menu is available at a good cost. Would highly recommend coming to this Pub. Decent sized car park around the back too.

Great to eat and drink. Looking for a pub that was dog friendly and served food after 8pm we found this little gem of a place. The food was excellent I chose liver, onion gravey and chips the liver was cooked perfectly. The others in our party had the Steak pie, Gammon and Scampi. All our meals were of a generous portion and I'm told very tasty. They even had doggie snacks for our four legged friends! The staff were very polite, helpful and couldn't do enough for us. It was the first time we have been to this pub but it certainly won't be the last. 10/10

Top marks for this place. The server was a lovely, helpful and genuinely friendly lady and seemed to really enjoy chatting to customers. Food came quickly enough and although we all had something different, everything came together. And it was delicious. Clean and bright inside and out. Highly recommended.

I was a bit anxious heading back into the Welly after it's big refurb but I needn't have worried. It looks amazing inside and has a real homely feel to it. The selection of drinks was class and the new menu is stunning. Huge portions and truly quality food. Something for everyone of all tastes and preferences. It's not my local anymore as I moved some years ago but I'll definitely be returning either for a meal or just a quiet drink.

Nice venue nice staff I had steak which was cooked/grilled how I like it. My particular meal was let down by my fries which unfortunately had more in common with cornflakes than potatoes. Everyone has there off days and this won't stop me going back again.
