Reviews of 34 Mayfair

Everything from service, food, staff, decor to the whole of the ambience scores over 5 stars! No words are enough to describe the love and appreciation we feel for this place for making our wedding lunch event so very special. Each of guests haven’t stopped raving about it! From the point of the inquiry, Lauren the lady who helped us through arranging our entire event was super helpful. She made life so easy, especially putting up with our endless questions and being so humble to many changes from our side. Each and every staff including the manager at the restaurant are super professional and very friendly. Each dishes were executed with delicious flavours, making the dish look even better than Michelin stars ✨ The wine were favourites and the cheese cake is to die for! I highly recommend this place for any occasion and I know my friends, family and myself will soon be returning here!

Good food. Service above normal with attention to detail. Atmosphere as expected for Mayfair. The mandatory cover charge is insulting because when asked for an explanation it was explaining that it's to cover napkins and table preparation. All of the above should be included in the food price. For clarification none of cover charge goes to staff nor charity

Now one of my favourite restaurants in London. The venue is amazing, the staff is absolutely lovely and the service is impeccable. This is one of the best brunch I had, the food is delicious and overall not expensive at all. Totally a must go
S. P.
Great food, nice atmosphere, cocktails were okay (can't alter the signature ones). I had the Eggs Benedict which was really good. Passion fruit parfait had that sharp tang with the sweetness to break through it.
M. A.
The food is great, the service is great, the vibe is great.
It's a fancy restaurant but not so stuck up at the same time.
I found it to be a unique balance or classy, relaxed and great food.
Try their pizza, Lobster cheese pasta and much more but you always have to end it the sweet way, with the special fluffy doughnut. 😍
E. H.
Stunning venue for brunch - Food is very pricey for what it is but the ambience and staff were great. Disappointed we didn't see any of the featured decorations/themes but perhaps that'll have justified the food price. Mocktail was fresh and aesthetically pleasing. Can get overcrowded in the front desk especially when people are arriving and people also getting their coats.

Their food was the the star at this place. A good place for groups and business meetings. Though their service ain’t gonna be their selling point but it exists. Food was cleared off our table without us being asked, food was put on our table without being introduced. It’s a shame because the food was good! The scallops had a fusion kinda sauce which was so good we ordered more. We were 4 people; 1 serving of the scallops was 3 pcs, a good restaurant would normally ask if we would like to have 4 pieces instead but they did not and brought 3 more servings when we had ordered just 2 more as they said they could not do 4 pieces. I had the Korean spiced chicken which was delicious and my friends had the monkfish, sole fish and salmon and were all happy with it. The wine selection is quite extensive as well. I would love to go back there again for the food so I hope their service would get better!

All tasty dishes.
Good service. Eggs Benedict was quite small dish. Nice area outside with heaters.

First time there and it's my favourite restaurant from now on.... fantastic staff 10/10 many thanks 😊 xxx
K. S.
A lovely place, that came highly recommended on the basis of their outdoor terrace, and it didn't dissaponint in the summer evenings. Great menu selection with very good tasting food. The only issue is that you can only have a maximum of 4 on the outside terrace so if you have childeren it's a little tight. Staff very friendly and accomadating.
M. A.
The best lobster mac and cheese ever you will try in your life and place amazing great vibe all foods delicious and staff professional and friendly one of best experiences i had
A. S.
Amazing dinner last night - go every year as a Christmas tradition. Staff were lovely, shame there are no baubles inside this year though, didn’t feel as Christmassy without them.
F. O.
Porcini mushroom truffle pizza, wagyu a5 Japanese steak, lobster truffle mac & cheese, and onion rings, 34 doughnuts
All together 10 out 10 !!
MUST VISIT
M. L.
Awesome as usual, great food and service. One of the major restaurants in Mayfair that is child friendly too.
K. A.
Great vibes and service. The food is a hit and miss.
The hamachi crudo lacked punch and acid. The porcini soup was good but boring, lacking any texture or accents to make it bit more exciting.
Then the really bad, the cote de boef was bad. Not OK not not to my liking but bad. Tough meat badly and unevenly cooked and not cheap either.
The star of the meal was that amazing scallops (with herb butter since XO contains pork). Really really good.
The Korean chicken and duck salad where amazing as well.
R. S.
Lovely meal, had the lamb shoulder and everything on the plate was an incredible culinary experience, with all the sauces and accompaniments, including the mash! Service was great and friendly
The only downsides were the lack of Christmas decorations, 34 is advertising elsewhere as having the thousands of baubles decorated, these sources are not updated which is a real shame as this is falsely promoting 34, as this was meant to be a Christmas treat and as great as the food and service was it really missed on the festive magic.
One of the waiting staff must have been having a bad day as they never flashed a smile, well not until I returned the card terminal with payment accepted.
That said neither of those are to detract from a lovely meal and evening but those 2 things were the reason for not giving 5 stars

I was pleasantly surprised by the bread, it was moist and fresh (we were one of the first tables there at 11am). Our bread basket also had some very delicious banana bread which we enjoyed.
However we were let down massively by the presentation of the food and service. My iberico ham benedict was so poorly presented, it was literally slabs of ham threw onto the muffin. My friend’s avocado benedict wasn’t much better
The service was so average and we expected more. My friend told the waiter she was vegetarian but was recommended the smoked salmon benedict …
A. A.
Very cozy and welcoming. Double like for the Lobster truffle mac and cheese.
K. W.
The food and the decor were absolutely amazing, but the service was shocking. We had to ask 3 times to be seated at our table as we waited at the bar even though our table was ready as I was given the option to either sir at the table or the bar to wait for my guests since I was 20 min early. We then had to flag down a waiter to take our drink and food order and ask for water top ups several times ( we had also ordered 2 rounds of cocktails, which were excellent). The waiter was so inattentive we had to keep them down to either order another drink or get the bill. I think the kicker was having someone try to clear a plate whilst we were still eating off of it. Lovely restaurant, amazing food and drink but horrible service.

I had a great experience with 34 Mayfair. The food was very delicious. Everything was seasoned well and portion sizes are surprisingly big. I was greeted by warm, friendly, smiling hosts, who helped to make me feel comfortable straight away. They attempted to help me with my requests that were different from the menu. There was a great ambience which is no doubt enhanced by the incredible staff.
R. W.
Perfect halloween dinner. The cote de boeuf is tender and juicy. Lovely services.
A. B. A.
Amazing Christmas decorations! The interior of the restaurant is beautifully covered in Christmas baubles, it feels very festive. The staff are friendly and very attentive. Very nice food, there are great options besides the steak - I can recommend the duck salad entree and lamb main. The chicken was also nicely cooked, but not as nice in my opinion as the lamb was.
F. W.
lobster mac and cheese is so good but really rich i would recommend sharing, the steak was excellent
A. P.
Food was OK but very overpriced. Wines are super expensive, too, for no obvious reason. Also, £2 cover charge?? Seriously, I've have had better experiences in London for better price. I Don't feel it's worth.
And for the balance: service was very good, atmosphere was kind of nothing special, OK.
F. F. H. M.
This is my favourite restaurant in London highly recommended.. I would like to thank so much Maria at Reception she is very kind lady .
S. W.
Booked this place after seeing the christmas decoration in 2020 with all the baubles, soon realised by their instagram that they had not done it this year. Was close to cancel but decided to give it ago anyway.
Atmosphere was bland, food over priced. Cod meal for £30 opted for a pizza that was £18. Could hear a waiter be rude behind us to their colleagues. Staff were friendly.
Wont be rushing back there though.
S. H.
Elegant ambiance, very good food (miso halibut, steaks are all delicious). Don't skip desert and they have some very mouth-watering sweets, I liked the donuts.
The staff is also quite friendly.
S. S.
Second time here
As always the decor is great and the staff are very polite and friendly.
We came for brunch. The duck salad was nice and fresh, had a Thai vibe going on with the papaya and the dressing. Shrimp burger was OK, kind of disappointing . Chips and mash were so tasty.
Would come again but would get eggs next time.
K. P.
@34mayfair, last night was a total pleasure, so thank you! My husband and I were treated to an evening out in this most gorgeous restaurant! Great service, the most delicious food and the best Christmas decor! We were truly spoiled, the Malwani spiced stone-bass was unbelievable, I highly recommended it. And their signature cheesecake to share is the best baked cheesecake I’ve ever had! And their festive cocktail menu, is a must, for those that are inclined to need a few bubbles of Moët, ‘Rudolph Knows’ is delicious! THE BEST dressed restaurant for Christmas 2019!
S. L. S.
Bustling atmosphere and very simple dishes that are of average execution. Not bad.
Very attentive service,
O. S.
Restaurant is beautiful but smaller than I have expected. Starters, steaks and salads were delicious and we didn't wait long for it to be served. But there is a big BUT. Service was utterly annoying and we were told 3 times that they need table in such and such minutes, so whole experience converts into checking time which brings anxiety and ruins the atmosphere, felt like in canteen were people quien for table even we had reservation. I haven't done even a sip of wine when waiter would come and add more like kind of rushing you to finish it. We haven't ordered desserts for this reason as we were quiet full and needed little extra time to have them, so left even earlier then they needed their table back. So I doubt that I'll come back if I want to relax and enjoy my evening with good bottle of wine and desserts after my dinner. Its a good place for business meeting or just express meal but not more.
M. A.
Went in for a quick meal. We had soups, pizzas, Dover Sole within the hour. Professional smooth service and excellent quality food. Highly recommended.
D.
Nice decor, and good but rushed service, do you really need that many waiters? Getting asked what we wanted to order by three separate waiters in 10 minutes. Too noisy and cramped to feel relaxed. I didn't go out for dinner to listen to fellow diners talking. Food was tasty but nothing to shout about. Had similar steaks elsewhere without the price hike.
M.
Friendly staff, nice service, delicious food, lovely atmosphere
Overall nice restaurant
M. J.
Food is outstanding. Welcome staff are so lovely. Some of the service team appear to pre-judge you on how you look and then deliver service accordingly. If u get my drift!!
J. T.
Best steak in London, nothing else needs to be said. Decor could be improved given the price, but all in all great great steak
V.
They delivered a great experience
I recommend the lobster Mac n cheese
Possibly the best selection of cocktails I have come across too
T. L.
An amazing place. The decorations were amazing. It was s Birthday meal and they forgot one of our main courses, so one of our party had to eat on their own. Not good. They didn't charge us but it ruined the evening.
M. M. N. (. M.
An upper class location on mayfair. The menu is decent and drinks a good. I am not really sure if you need to make a reservation but you will welcomed on the door. Seems to be a good place for the night aswell.
R. H.
Honestly, spectacular. Superior atmosphere, excellent service, and well crafted tasty menu. The staff are SO FRIENDLY. HIGHLY recommended.
M. C.
Good food and decent service. It isn't very busy around 7pm but gets full closer to 9pm. Also, they charge a 2 Pound cover fee for the Wi-Fi whether you use it or not. The problem is they don't tell you about it until you ask them what the charge is for when you get the bill.
v.
Beautiful restaurant with a floral entrance. Gotta have one of those these days! Delicious brunch too, with great Bloody Marys. The lobster nasi goreng was tasty and the egg benedict with Parma ham was really good!
Follow my food adventures @vernahungrybanana!
J. M.
The tuna tartare was amazing, steak was nice but not the best I’ve had. For steak I would recommend CUT in 45 park lane, service was great. Thank you
a. r.
Great restaurant. Casual but upscale at the same time. Nice staff. Food was excellent. I got the pancakes and my husband got the lamb.
L. J.
Just FABULOUS. Very nice place with a high-end service. We came to brunch and we took the waffles and pancakes bacon and maple syrup with onion rings : really delicious, the price / quality ratio is crazy. We drank the mint tea and the blue smoothie, it was not even £ 20 per person and we came out satiated. Superb address that I recommend and where I will go back when I'm in London.
C. I. G.
Amazing restaurant to go in Christmas!
Place is everything.
Pricey.
I expect much more from the food.
Just a so so.
But Christmas decorations is completely amazing.
A. H.
Wondered here with my girl and my hound and have to say, they are very friendly, welcoming and have amazing food and drinks on offer. They made out little Sunday wondering a very special one indeed!
A. E.
Delicious food, fantastic cocktails, fabulous staff, great atmosphere.
M. A. S.
10/10 customer service. 9/10 food, highly recommend. Don’t order the pizza tho it was aight
J. P. G.
The mixed sashimi and rib eye steak are must try dishes! The sashimi was fresh and they have an interesting take on the wasabi. The steak was juicy and flavorful on the inside with a charred crunch on the outside. Will definitely recommend to friends visiting London.
P. J.
The interior at 34 Mayfair is always worthy of a visit in its own right, however the varied a la carte menu and great service is also well received.
Being early January we ate lighter than usually, but enjoyed the caviar and steak tartare to start, followed by the tagliatelle with white truffle and the stone bass for mains. Pineapple with sorbet for dessert with a glass of red dessert wine and some petit fours.
Would recommend for daily dining or a weekend night out.
A. A.
Lovely food and the outside of the restaurant was very Christmassy but I expected more decoration indoors.
J. G.
I came here with a friend, we sat on the terrace. Our waiter was attentive, friendly and chatty when we asked a question. The welcome is warm. I had the gazpacho to start and it was amazingly delicious, well spiced, flavoursome and just what I needed on a warm day. I had the John Dory with violet artichoke. It was exquisite. Dessert was the tiramisu eclair. Perfect ending to a meal. Thank you!
F. F.
We celebrate our Anniversary here..Very cosy place..We love the food and the atmosphere..
Try the Argentinean rip-eye with the sweet corn mashed😋
M. T.
This spot gives extraordinary service and yummy meals. One of my favourite restaurants around town.
J. M.
My friend wanted a night out to make her feel festive and this certainly hit the mark!! She is vegetarian and our original plan was to come for brunch where there would be plenty of choice for her, but lockdown put an end to that plan so we had to reschedule and come for dinner, meaning there were only 2 or 3 options, but I guess we couldn't expect more in a steak and seafood restaurant! The food was divine, the cocktails delicious and the the service was good - although we were asked what drinks we would like without being offered a wine list or cocktail menu (the same happened to the table next to us) and then a misunderstanding saw us brought 2 espressos instead of espresso martini's. This was quickly fixed by the lovely barman, though. Obviously not a cheap venue, being a steak restaurant in Mayfair, but I'd definitely be back for another special occasion.
E. S.
It's a buzzy enough and venerable Mayfair institution, but the food was pretty underwhelming. Crab and apple starter tasted of... nothing, and the mains were little better.
X. S. P.
We went here during the Christmas holidays when they had the place decorated full floor to ceiling with baubles and other Christmas shiny colorful trinkets. It was a really beautiful sight! The brunch was really good with really good crispy duck on waffles. The deserts were also really good althgouh give a pass to the peanut butter cake bar since it was a bit heavy and dry.
If that wasn't enough Santa Claus was also visiting all tables and making everybody laugh with his comments. Definitely recommend coming here for a nice entertaining brunch.
S. E.
Beautiful Art Deco interior, great service and delicious food! Loved the 20s champagne glasses and my steak
А. А.
Great place, veru beautiful! Menu you can see in their site. No booking, just waiting list
B. E.
Wonderful restaurant!! I absolutely loved the ambience, decor, food and the friendly service. There is also so much to choose from on the menu. Cannot wait to go back again.
K. F.
Absolutely amazing restaurant to dine. We were here for Valentine’s Day and their service is great and the food is delicious. Highly recommend
M. S.
Took my sister for her birthday and we loved the food, the service, the drinks, everything! Will definitely return :)
M. A.
We really enjoyed the place, the food was very tasty and the service was excellent.
h. a.
Really good ambiance, nice staff. Super friendly we went with no reservation for dinner and they were happy to sit us by the bar which was really lovely. Nice sophisticated atmosphere in the head to Mayfair. A pianist is always playing in the background. We ordered the cote de boeuf for two which was superb. The sides are great as well we had the broccoli with chills and almond flakes and the roasted cabbage. I will defiantly go back again for dinner.
L. M.
We had brunch On Sunday and really enjoyed it. Very good food and nice waitress.
M. N.
This place is so lovely and the food is really good, you must try the pancakes they are delicious 😋
A. M.
Great cocktails and food. Excellent Dover Sole if you like fish.
E. G. l.
Superb atmosphere and stunning food. Great service too!
E. s.
Fabulous evening!
Great food, great staff.
Definitely return!
S. H.
The best Sunday roast in London
R. A.
Fantastic food fantastic service the atmosphere is brilliant
j. b.
Lacking for the money. Tasty food, decent portions, attentive and polite waiting staff.
No garnish, Sherry not cold, no white table cloth on our table, large wine glass not on menu, toilet staircase very dusty in crevices, fidgety waiting at the table. Adequate only.
H. L.
What can I say about this place. Amazing service amd amazing food. Wife took me there for my birthday and had a great time. Had the Wagu beef and can easily say best steak I have had. The service can be compared to the service you get in Dubai. For sure recommend and for sure will be going back for that bad boy Wagu.
34 Mayfair you are my favourite restaurant. Thank you for making my birthday celebration very special.
P. A.
Delicious food and the high standards of service you would expect!
J. D.
Hired the private room upstairs for my wedding reception in October and it was amazing. We’d eaten in the main restaurant a few times before so knew it wouldn’t disappoint, but it surpassed my expectations! Group dining can sometimes be a bit unreliable in other places but this was absolutely top notch - food, wine and service were all impeccable and had many compliments from our guests. So glad we decided on here for our special day.
J. M.
Great place, great food, great service. I've been here twice now and it's always a pleasure.
S. W.
Amazing food and service. Must haves:- Fillet Steak, Doughnuts, lobster macaroni and cheese.
X. C.
Great tuna starter top marks with that. The cod main OK with a weird pepper sauce and a lame alioli. The service so so
k. t.
Disappointed... booked for my 50th no acknowledgement
Only given cocktail menu had to ask for wine etc
Waiter spilt water on the table then got cross I took the next empty table napkin to mop the mess
F. L.
Great service, decent food, nice ambience. I complained that my fish was bland and not only was it taken off our bill, but we were also given free coffee.
P. D.
One of 9ur favourite restaurants in the UK, however , whoever the suited member of staff that took and served our red wine should know which wine glasses to serve red whine in as he seemed to be unaware until it was explained to him. At £50 a bottle and having all types of glasses, you'd think that this person should know better.
This is no way spoilt our meal, which as always is great, although maybe being extra picky, the chef needs to be taught how to cook a steak Pitsburg med rare, the waiter know but not so the chef, it was close but for 34 , close is not be good enough, it should have been exact.
s. g.
Excellent restaurant, service was amazing,
Food and wine was exceptional, highly recommended
A. R.
Came here for my parents anniversary and had a lovely evening. Came with my young daughter and they were so accommodating, thank you 34!
I. J.
Book in advance! (Or try to be the first one if you decide to walk in last minute...)
A. J.
The GQ Grooming awards were held here and it was a spectacular event. Great place - highly recommend
a. d. c.
The food and drinks are amazing. The staff is super friendly. Love it
S. n.
Great atmosphere, food was ok not great will probably not be back
J. L.
Excellent service, very accommodating, food is amazing.
A. D.
Great food, amazing date night location
J. B.
Beautiful Christmas decor that is perfect for special occasions. Amazing service too. One of our guest was an hour late, and yet they were so attentive and managed to bring our plates at the right pace so that we don't overstay the table time limit. It is one of those rare 5 out 5 place !
L. M.
Nice decor and food, one of my favourite ...staffs are welcoming
E. A.
Yum! Great for a business lunch or date, smart interior and great food.
E. K.
Trendy, vibrant, full if life - This is Mayfair !!!
Thank you so much for the excellent service
E. T.
Such good flavours! The steak tartare is a must try!
m. b.
Lovely food and atmosphere, excellent staff.
R. G.
Lovely staff, nice place, good food.
M. M.
Great service and food. Absolutely incredible steak.
J. B.
Started off great. Building exterior and doorman are impeccable. However front of house was careless and unfriendly. He passed me off to his colleague which left me standing around not really knowing what was going on until it became apparent that the guy he'd palmed me off onto wasn't actually going to take my coat, show me to my table, or do anything so he did it himself. The most interaction I got from him was when I asked to wait for my friend at the bar instead of at my table at which point he was very keen to point out that the restaurant would still need the table back within the same timeframe. Fine by me but it would have been nice if he had been equally as keen to say hello and welcome to the restaurant.
The bar staff and waiting staff were very good. Professional and friendly. Bar man made me a very good Martini using a gin I hadn't tried before.
Menu is quite pricey (I guess they need to pay for all those decorations and Mayfair rent somehow). We ended up just having a burger each, a few sides, a couple of drinks each. We had no starters and no desserts and it came to £125. Pretty expensive for burger and fries. To be fair the food was tasty and the side of cauliflower cheese we had was probably the best I've ever had. Very indulgent.
Bit of a mixed bag. If you take away the Instagrammable moment provided by the thousands of Christmas baubles, I'm not sure you're left with an experience that justifies the prices.
A. P.
Love it!! Very lovely dinner and experience!!
M. U.
Visited a number of times with friends. Really like this restaurant.
The fillet steak is very impressive & creamed sweetcorn divine.
Tables for 2 are quite close together but for 4 or more people it is better.
Would definitely recommend :)
D. B.
Lovely feel and buzz to this place as you come in. A professional but friendly crowd packed into the tables so close that you can't help but join in the conversation, our neighbours thought. Food is excellent -- varied and with good flavours without being overly fancy. Service isn't as good as it should be for this sort of place - just a little too slow and a lot too off-hand meant that the shine was taken off the place. Not good enough to be a destination, too pricey to be a neighbourhood bistro. 185 dinner for two with wine.
M. P.
You will recieve great hospitality and well presented food.
C. W.
Bonkers exterior with a more extravagant floral display than I could ever have imagined. At least you'll know when you've arrived. I suppose it to be a favourite haunt of oligarch wives, except they probably don't eat. I was a guest in a private room upstairs and can't comment on the value or atmosphere of the main restaurant but the food was extremely good and surprisingly generous. Service was very professional.
C. P.
Good atmosphere, tasty dishes and warm staff. Well done guys! (customers a little more noisy :/)
A. A.
Went to 34 Mayfair for Sunday brunch and it was lovely! Great selection of plates and drinks!
We had pancakes with bacon and eggs with lobster and shrimps. The portions are quite big, and we couldn't finish them between the two of us.
The food was super delicious!
Lovely place for special occasions!
V. W.
Terrible service, food OK. Good place to celeb spot.
B. B.
I don’t even know where to begin on how amazing this restaurant is. Perfect for business or pleasure lunches/dinners.
The food, cocktails/mocktails are delicious. The service is outstanding and nothing is too much trouble. The only thing stopping me from giving this a 5 star rating is the staff. Although incredibly attentive, they all look miserable and not very friendly. It certainly wouldn’t stop me going back though!
P. H.
One of my favourite restaurants for client/business lunches. Wonderful menu with a ice selection of steaks/meats of various cuts, high quality seafood, a nice and varied selection of starters plus they can make a proper vodka martini. You round all this up with exceptional service and you have a fantastic venue for an exceptional meal.
M. T.
Great restaurant experience all round. Awesome attention to detail through out. Great steaks.
S. A. M.
Excelent grill...best selection of meat (Scottish, Argentine, Japanese)...
Superb service...
R. S.
Excellent for food and service. Our party of 4 had fillet mignon and tuna as entrees. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is that we were charged 2 pounds per person as a cover charge even though we ordered 8 drinks during dinner
A. B.
Great food and prompt service. Amazing ambience. Loved the experience and food.
D. S.
Very nice brunch. Would recommend it.
T. W.
Just an Excellent meal.
Service was very good. The food was prepared perfectly.
The ambiance was very classy with the help of a very gifted trio.
Makes me wish our stay in London could go on indefinitely, but alas, we must return to Barcelona soon.
Can't go wrong here.
N. M.
It has Boris doubles dangling from the outside and 16000 balls dangling from the roof. We had the set menu £20 ahead but the usual cover charge nonsense is added which is very poor. The crispy duck salad starter was a triumph of style over substance and steak frites slightly over salted but the cod was nicely cooked. A good choice of carafe wines tho overpriced. Final bill for 2 for lunch about £110. The last time i was there i sat opposite messrs Gill & Clarkson.
B.
Amazing and professional staff. Made me feel welcomed and had one great tasting Gibson

Birthday Dinner with my wife 20th Feb 2020
My wife rarely gets into London and wanted to do some shopping on New Bond Street and have a full on Mayfair Experience. I booked a table for us with instructions that it was my wifes birthday and wanted a round table looking towards the bar. I had organised an S Class to whisk her around town and take us to dinner.
From arriving and having the door opened by the Doorman in full regalia to the very friendly staff who took our coats we were off to a great start and my wife felt like Queen for a day.
We had drinks at the bar, a mocktail for me (I don't drink alcohol) there was a great selection and a Bellini for my wife which was perfect. Due to timing unfortunately we did not get a round table and were seated on the square tables opposite which are a little small and rather close together. Also next to a very loud and obnoxious American who really did not have an off button and was impossible to tune out! A true caricature!
The Starter course, Cauliflower Soup for me and Cornish Crab for my wife was superb, presentation and taste were top notch. We were are the point of deciding to leave due to the earworm on the next table when Tommy the maître d' came past and I had a word about moving tables so we could enjoy our dinner and not have to listen the endless stream of drivel coming from next door.
Tommy was a star and within 2 minutes he had relocated us to the other end of the restaurant to the side of the kitchen on a round table. We had a great time, main course was a Scottish Rib Eye for my wife, she said it was cooked to perfection and was one of the best steaks she had has only toppped by Smolenskys in New York, she had Carrots and Spinach sides and I had a Signature 34 Burger that the chef agreed to assemble using a grilled Chicken breast instead of beef as I do not eat red meat. This was with Truffle Fries. It was one of the best 'burgers' I have had anywhere. Presentation, taste, quality, not too much not too little. Perfect.
The wait staff were unobtrusive but superbly attentive and attuned to the diners in a way that almost seemed like they had psychic powers. All friendly and knowledgeable. The sommelier took his time explaining the wine selections with my wife and narrowing down her selections from her answers and explaining the history of the various choices and she was delighted with her choice.
We had a scoop of exquisite ice cream each to finish and they presented my wife with a large dinner plate that had been hand written in chocolate sauce with Happy Birthday and some amazing decoration and truffles.
Peppermint tea for me and an espresso Martini for my wife and we were nicely sated and ready for home. Despite a rocky start we had an amazing night and I can highly recommend this restaurant as the atmosphere was brilliant. the food and the staff exceptional. Take a bow Tommy!
T. S.
Superb food, busy atmosphere, efficient service. Our only gripe was that the pianist was bashing away on the piano as though she was giving a concert performance, not providing background music allowing patrons to enjoy their meal and hold a discussion...
S. W.
Nice food! Lovely decoration! Friendly staff!
J. U.
Great food and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The Iberico ham Benedict with truffle hollandaise is to die for
B. F.
Any restaurant owned by Richard Caring will be successful highly recommend 34 if u fancy a good steak excellent food excellent service just enjoy and forget the bill ?????? Pricey !!!!!! but worth it definitely

Nice steak restaurant in Mayfair, London. Good value cuts. I had an excellent bone-in Scottish Ribeye steak. Very good service. Great value. For the wine card I would suggest the restaurant to get a few more wines at the lower range prices. Lots of great wines in the expensive segment.
A. A.
Went for a brunch and was very lovely and tasty. Im celiac so I need gluten free diet restrictions, staff was very helpful and very carry about my health and diet requests. Thank you
L. B.
All I can say is if you miss this place during the Christmas season, you missed out !
My boyfriend and I made this our first stop once in London because we are obsessed with Christmas and I just had to check out the decor.
I had seen pictures all over the internet of the Christmas decor and it stood up to the hype !
My boyfriend and I wasn’t even that hungry so we walked and grabbed some drinks at the bar. I can’t speak for the food here, but the drinks were fantastic. The bartender was very friendly and gave up great tips on a few things to do while in London.
The entire and I mean ENTIRE restaurant is decorated! If you are in London around Christmas time or even a little after the new year, check this place out for yourself !
K. F.
Went there for brunch with a friend. Food was great, nice brunch selection and drinks, and loved the decor. Sadly the service and wait staff’s mannerisms and possibly training were to be desire... almost as if they are trying to hard to match the decor. With that missing I can not recommend
C. B.
Great service, good food. 3* beacuse at the beginning of the meal... My water tumbler smelled fishy. When I told the waitress, she smelled the tumbler and urgently changed it for me. I had bad diarrhea that night after the meal. But others who were with me were not affected...maybe because if the contaminated tumbler!! We all loved the food!
C. O.
Just keep coming back and loving it. The wine list is great with even the least expensive wines being good. The food provides the same French comfort, high quality and serious taste also found consistently at Scotts.
Service fast and professional with no fuss.
N. M.
Perfect ambience, savoury dishes. Worth a visit for sure!
G. G.
This place seems well known as a solid American style steakhouse but I personally found the beef only normal.. Not outstanding as prices would suggest. We tried Wagyu US snake river sirloin (definitely below expectations) and Rib Eye USDA prime (better but not outstanding).
K.
Delicious brunch served at weekends, with a wide variety of options. Fantastic classic brunch dishes (best smoked salmon and scrambled eggs I've had) as well as amazing asian options such as nasi goreng and Japanese wagyu croquettes. The setting is perfect for a fancy brunch.

It's magical this time of year..
R. T.
Great place and good customer service. We had a 1n half hour but got chance to stay for bit longer. Food was amazing.
S. T.
Go here if you are cash rich & time rich. A place you really need to marinate in your seat.
Oh wow oh wow - the moment take the first step onto the pavement you are greeted by a sparking leopard, with ruby eyes.... oh yeah.... already you know it’s good. A well heeled gentleman opens the door for you and bang - you’re in.
Immediate you smell the air of excellent conversation and giggling in-jokes. You feel one of the pride.
Whisked To a table with grace - handed the menu which is nice and heavy, every dish makes you smile. But the stand outs from our meal were the lobster mac & cheese - and champagne from glasses that had been moulded around the shape of Kate Moss’ breasts. I kid you not...
D. R.
Fantastic mushrooms soup- thank you Chef!!
J. Å.
Fantastic restaurant with excellent food especially at Christmas with the amazing interior
A. O.
Great looking restaurant, food was average , manager that was also serving had a serious attitude problem, could have been due to it being last day before new lock down, I might give this place another go...
S. G.
The payment is modest. I recommend this place to to all.
The food is regularly fresh and tasty, workers provides good service. I really like the cleanliness and vibes. Will come back again.
O. N. L.
The cocktails here are exceptional
C. D.
Had a fantastic lunch here shortly before second lockdown. The Christmas decorations are stunning, and food and service was also fabulous.
J. B.
Fantastic service from Adnan today, very kind and polite!
I. J.
The private dining here has a very special feel - excellent food and interesting wine are paired with excellent service and flair. The team here combine both attention to the guests and service to the corporate bookers.
The venue is quiet, sparkly and special.
Owned by the caprice/ivy group, this is the better of the options for private dining - surpassing imo even the venerable The Ivy.
Total treat.
B. G.
We were really pleased with the quality of the food and the general, open & warm atmosphere during our recent visit to the restaurant. We had the good fortune of being served by two particularly nice people (Anke and Jai) during our time there and would be happy to recommend the restaurant to others, whether to simply try somewhere new or for a special occasion.
C. D.
Glitzy interior and similarly dazzling menu (prices) attracts the nouveau riche from far afield. Two seat tables leaves diners packed in like sardines. When seated, the fear of your neighbours hearing your entire conversation quickly dissolve as you realise you cannot hear yourself due to the volume from the oikish clientele. Steak was utterly delicious however.
J. J.
Service great and food gorgeous.. Lovely location
K. C.
Excellent Sunday brunch this morning with impeccable service and possibly the best Bloody Mary in London. 34 Mayfair is the best place to celebrate an engagement, new job, or graduation as it provides the luxe, unique experience to feel just that extra bit special, but the atmosphere isn't stuffy or pretentious.
A.
Amazing Christmas decor, amazing food
D. G.
Great food, the best service I have ever had.
M. C.
Very nice location, tasty food and amazing service.
A. P.
34 Mayfair located next the United States embassy on Grosvenor Square (entrance on a side street called South Audley Street) is a pleasant surprise. We booked a table for ten in the evening While its Mayfair location would dictate a formal exclusive setting, 34 Mayfair is inviting and relaxing. The entrance door is looked after two sharply dressed doormen that set the scene for what is to come inside. The interior is warm, classic and dimly lit with a bar located at one end. The menu is surprisingly simple offering raw dishes, salads, meats, fish and classics such as spaghetti meatballs. The service is extraordinarily aligned to the needs of every table, ensuring immediate attention without being overbearing. The desert menu is a combination of classics such as chessecake, ice cream prepared with a twist. Having ordered the ceviche and foie gras as starters the preparation was fresh, delicate but full of flavour. While the British heritage sirloin was slightly rough, the American sirloin is far more tender. For desert we selected the liberty mouse which was like nothing we had tasted before - yet it was surprisingly satisfying. The overall bill for two starters, two mains, four juices and a dessert added to £175. 34 Mayfair is a pleasure across the board.
L. P.
Divine! The appearance is typical of a Mayfair restaurant, starched table cloths and small intimate tables but without the stuffiness and service was impeccable.
Came with a friend for their special offer "Champagne Lovers' Lunch", which promised unlimited champagne with diners ordering at least 2 courses. Definitely try their Lobster Truffle Macaroni Cheese, they are generous with their truffle and though a "simple" dish, was executed very well and ticks all the boxes!
r. D.
Staff very attentive, food excellent. Would recommend to anyone.
S. P.
Really good experience! THANKS
D. S.
I really enjoyed the food! It was a very nice atmosphere for a sunday brunch, and i would go again. Some of the waitors were a bit under trained and needed a little bit of a lesson in common sense, but otherwise it was a great brunch!
R. H.
Just wonderful - we had our wedding breakfast here hiring the Emin Room and it was perfect - Andrew and Valentin on the door were friendly, professional and courteous and this continued throughout all the staff. Food was great too - everyone who came loved it
M. T.
Great atmosphere and good value for money
S. E.
My family and I have been coming here for years, it’s still a favourite and everything about this high end gem from the decor to the atmosphere, the food and the service has maintained the same standard over the years. Love !
C. P.
The best restaurant have been in my life, one of my best san Valentine.
M. B.
High quality restaurant with service to match
D.
Exceptional, if a bit intimidating, location. The menu choices are all in the spirit of the restaurant (even if some could be slightly different/improved). Service is great. Tables a bit cramped.
D. K.
Wow. A must. Amazing service, good food and perfect flavors.
M. C.
Just ok - wouldn’t recommend
T. N.
A posh place with nice design and decoration of place
K. A.
The food is a fusion of Indian cuisine and western and it would be better if they only had one or the other. It was perhaps busy but took three reminders to get a diet Coke.
C. Z.
Another Richard Caring Restaurant , thankfully this is good warm comfort food dining with a bright room with large scenic windows on to South Audley Street where onlookers can potentially peer inside to spot their favourite celeb, Royal or socialite
The drinks are well executed and the Starters are great ...the avocado salad has each individual leaf layered with Gorgonzola and the shoestring fries while very un british is very good . I wasn’t very excited about the tacos and being there on the weekend there were interesting brunch additions like waffles and pancakes that are great for the children
The highlight was the 34 Burger - paper thin bacon on one of the juiciest patties I have ever had the pleasure on consuming - add a layer of caramelized onions and a cheese of your choice and you are in burger heaven.
Service is polite and efficient and the restaurant is definitely a mainstay of the Mayfair dining scene it’s absolutely amazing to me that Richard Caring can produce a restaurant of this standard while he proceeds to starve his members at Annabel’s where the dining is akin to being asked to ingest wallet emptying portions of food which seem to be cooked by a kitchen that seems intent helmed by a ultra communist executive chef intent on poisoning his very capitalist and establishment diners
L.
Really nice food, the fillet steak was delicious and the dessert was amazing.
M. F.
Good experience of fine dining
A. S.
One of the best steaks in town! Plus a lovely and friendly atmosphere with amazing service. Classic place for those who like this, highly recommended

Well-cooked steak and chips as well as a good dessert. Very classy, although in retrospect I have probably had better steak and chips since that visit.
D. I.
I feel like the dishes are not that special for their prices. Also, the artwork on the place was quite bad and I didn't like the way the place was decorated. Had an amazing wine tho and the staff was very nice. Overpriced in my opinion
R. S.
Interior was beautiful. Great atmosphere. Sitting section was amazing. Food as good. Affordable place. Service as great. Presentation of food was amazing.
M. S.
Great food, cooked perfectly and presented in livy surroundings. Service could be a touch sharper but the food is the star here.
