WONDERFUL NEPALESE RESTAURANT This place is a great new restaurant in the area. All the food was lovely, but I particularly recommend the Momos, the chilli chicken starter and the curries. The price is decent, but not cheap. The customer service is great, they really looked after us and tended to our every need. The only issue was the waiter got our order a little bit mixed up. I would definitely go though, and its the only nepalese for miles around. The interior is clean and fresh.

Really brilliant Nepalese restaurant and tasty authentic food. I have visited twice already - once a couple of months ago, we celebrated a friend’s birthday and the second time was a takeaway (which these pictures are from, the instructions for squeezing the lime has put a big smile on our faces). When we dined in for my friend’s birthday, we received brilliant service and the food was amazing. My friend loves Nepalese food and we were saying how rare it is to have found such a wonderful place in central London! I am personally a very big fan of the chilli chicken (starter), chatpatey (starter too, it’s like a spiced rice crispy snack), chowmein and momos! Would definitely recommend this place!!

Authentic momos. My husband was in Nepal 5 years ago and he really misses the good food there. This was why I booked this place. We were not disappointed 😃. Not just the momos that were outstanding, all other dishes: aubergine, okra and spinach were exceptional. Also Tama is a restaurant that focuses on food and you taste their dedication with each bite. Highly recommended!

We were looking for Nepalese food in London and found this place online. It exceeded our expectations. The food was absolutely delicious, a lot of vegan options as well! The traditional tastes were there and the portions were great as well (we even got asked if we wanted any additional rice/ bread/ lentils). The service was amazing. The server made sure to check in regularly, explained every dish and was very kind in general. Definitely stop by and try the delicious food here, you won’t regret it.

Amazing experience! I went to this restaurant with some friends (we were 8) after we left a concert venue nearby. We were so impressed by the friendly service and tasty food! We were given some Prosecco on the house because we were waiting for our table to be ready, not even 10 min! Because we were not that families with Nepalese food we asked our host for recommendations and we were greeted by sharing plates of delicious food, very nicely presented and so fresh! The Nepalese beer also needs a mention, the bottles were huge (600ml) and so tasty We will be back there for sure, it was a wonderful night: nice food, attentive host, very cozy and lovely atmosphere.

WOW This place is great! Atmosphere is chill and cool the staff are also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, and you can tell making the customers happy is their number one priority. The food takes this place to the next level with its classic Nepalese dishes the momos, pastry and curry dishes are all fantastic. The prices are good value for what you get and if you want a place to go on your own or with friends this is the go to place.

Where do I begin, the host of the restaurant was truly great, very kind, informative, and good sense of humour. And now for the main event the food was very authentic, delicious, and the price was pretty reasonable I would highly recommend to anyone that wants to try Nepalese food. Not Nepali/Indian or some fusion restaurant this is purely a Nepalese only restaurant.

We Googled for Vegan options before heading to the theatre and I am so glad we picked this place. The Owner was very patient and explained the Menu items. The Restaurant itself is named after a Vegan dish. I recommend this restaurant to anyone looking to try something different. Trust me, you WILL look forward to going back again, just like me !

My recommendation: mutton choyela (from secret menu), pork jheer and mutton curry with some rice. Best part: you don't find authentic Nepalese restaurant in heart of London and this makes it even more precious !

Just good comfort food and fantastic service, it really felt like the staff care about your experience. Get the AJ Special’s momos (or the platter)!! You won’t regret it. We ordered that plus chili chicken, a beer and a meal for one plus 2 roti between 2 people and spent about 60💷

I went out to Aloo while on vacation with my family and was pleasantly surprised by the food which was top tier. However, the restaurant should really improve the quality of the service. The food took 1 hour and 10 minutes to arrive (we were there at 19:25 and the food arrived at 20:35) even though there were only 5 people in the restaurant. While we were waiting, the owner repetitively entered and exited the restaurant for online orders and there weren’t any servers in the floor to attend. Moreover, they forgot to bring us napkins, and only brought us half of the cutlery when brining our order. It’s a shame because the servers and the owner seemed very nice and I didn’t want to put a negative comment on here. But they really should put more effort on their service.

I absolutely adore this place. Sam and Kay are always extremely cheerful and the atmosphere of the restaurant is carefully crafted to give you that authentic Nepalese experience. Love their pan fried Momos, but my favourite dish has to be the sweet chilli chicken. Can't wait to go back :)

This place is very unique even with its name (aloo tama which means potato bamboo). They have done such a fantastic job recreating the ambience and look of nepalese restaurant. The food is excellent and it truly is an experience from the moment you walk in, they have paid attention to every detail regarding lights, flooring and other little things. Mango lassi was the favourite one with Mo:mo(dumplings) platters if you are in a group, try it when you you are there and don't forget they have a great meal with an extensive menu. I would definitely go back and recommend.

Nice Nepalese food. My favorite are still the classic momo. You may save some money using discounts from the fork app but check the bill. Discount was not properly given in our case as well as on the table next to us.
