Reviews of Annie's
J. A.
I visited with my husband last Friday. The restaurant was really nice 👍 and very close to riverside. Staff are very friendly and warm welcoming. We had a great dinner time! Lamb 🐑 steak is the best. And I do love French cider. Apple and honey flavor 🤩🤩 meal was beautiful!! We will visit again
S. P.
The cocktails were delicious! I would highly recommend the Annie's Blush Royale🥂🌹
The portion sizes were very generous! The food was so tasty, the truffle camembert tasted so dreamy 😍 The turkey wellington is a must try too! The turkey was so tender and was served with tasty sides. I loved the vintage decor and cosy atmosphere. 💕
⭐The service was great! The staff were friendly and attentive🥰
⭐Would highly recommend visiting this restaurant ⭐

I have been back to Annie’s today after a long time ( pandemic related absence mostly). I found outside a small cute table and it was a sunny day so really nice! The lady serving is was a familiar face to Annie’s and she was well lovely and friendly so thank you! I had an oat latte ( they use Oatly barista- my fav plant milk) and I also had a yummy vegan carrot cake. I will be back again !

Here to celebrate post birthday with friends for Sunday lunch. I love the atmosphere here service brilliant and the food delicious so nice to celebrate in person.
S. L.
Enjoyed a family Sunday lunch with my 100 year old mum and a coeliac daughter at this delightful restaurant! EVERTHING was top class! Attention to detail & knowledge of coeliac condition was soe unusual. Ambiance, professionalism, friendliness, helpfulness & superb food were all part of this really enjoyable experience. I cannot commend them highly enough! Well done to all involved!

Good food (not outstanding) and reasonably priced for what you get. Excellent service. A bit of a hidden gem

I went to Annie’s last Friday for dinner with a friend who had never been before and it was a success.
Such a cosy place, the atmosphere is always great, friendly knowledgeable staff and delicious food.
Perfect for any occasion.
We’ll definitely go back.

A lovely decorated place with friendly staff and a great menu. The food is nicely presented and full of flavours.

This is one of my locals but I won't be going back any time soon. I cannot complain about the food - it is consistently good. However, had I not checked my receipt before paying I would have ended up paying for 2 items that I didn't order. When I raised it with the waitress she said "Oh, that must be from the people who were sitting at your table earlier". I waited for the apology and it never came.
M. N.
Food was so delicious! Lovely service from waiters
A. K.
Absolutely love this gem of a spot! I went there last weekend and had a birthday brunch. The staff were lovely and attentive, the food was fabulous and the coffee even better. I even got given a free bellini as it was my birthday :) We had eggs royale and pancakes which were generous portions. Will definitely recommend and come back.
T. C.
Breakfast ends at 12PM (including weekends) so if you're after a late brunch, don't get caught out!
Lovely to walk along the river and get a bite to eat. Good food, good service. Quaint interior that makes it quite unique.
M. A.
I found this place on Google Maps as I was looking for somewhere to eat close to Jct 2 of the M4 before a night in an airport hotel.
Place is quint and the staff are attentive without being bothersome. I had a very nice plate of bread and olives whilst I decided on what to order from the menu. Salt and pepper squid was well cooked, the squid was fresh and not in anyway chewy.
The main with chicken milanese with a tagliatelle arrabbiata. The batter was light and crispy on the chicken and the arrabbiata had a good hit of chili.
Despite the generous portions I was tempted by the desert menu and opted for a rum baba. The barber was very light and not at all stodgy. The source to was excellent and not too sweet. I was so happy with the food and the service that I've already booked a table for the night before my next trip. Recommended. Three courses, coffee and a large glass of wine came to £54 including tip.

Went there for valentines with the wife, food was amazing, really delicious had the scallops and prawn gratin served in shells really cool idea. Also the lamb rump was beautifully cooked. Overall really happy look forward to going here again. My wife was in love with decor of the restaurant, really cosy and intimate, lovely candle lit dinner.
A. H.
Lovely little restaurant in Chiswick - found this while walking along the Thames last weekend. The restaurant’s decor/atmosphere is intimate and cosy; great for a wintery day. I ordered the steak (picture included) and my wife ordered seabass. Both were outstanding. The service is also great. Highly recommend - we’ll be back.
H. M.
Beautiful location, fantastic service and delicious food. Made to feel special from the moment we arrived.

Cosy and yet sophisticated atmosphere, efficient service and great food. The Goan curry and the almond cake are amazing. Ideal for a special night. Best to book online in their website.
J. S.
Quaint little place seemingly tucked away near the river. Interior decor is delightful, with an eclectic mix making for a warm place to relax.
Food used good ingredients and honestly not much to fault. Bread / toast was a little more hole'y then personally prefered but that's not a compliant.
Service was pleasant and never pushed which is nice for a Sunday morning.
Recommend place, for an easy breezy Sunday brunch. (Or any other day)
P. V.
The place is really cute and relaxing, the food is really nice and service was average (nothing bad or amazing to point out). I did feel like the prices were a little high for what it is however, but that would be my only negative point.
s. c.
What an underrated place! They have the most amazing toffee pudding I’ve had so far. Twice I’ve been here, twice they’ve surpassed my expectations, from starters, mains to desserts. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.
R.
Great place for breakfast menu. I haven't tried other menus. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Prefer rhe upstairs seating.
N.
Been there 2 days ago with my two dogs for first time for dessert, Only had a banoffee and a sticky toffee pudding.
Desserts were delicious. Sticky toffee pudding was outstanding. (Ice cream wasn't great at this occasion, had pieces of ice in it) but the rest of the dish was amazing.
A lovely pleasant lady who took the order was so friendly with our dogs, and even brought them 2 bowls of water each. Would definitely come again. Maybe for lunch next time.
R. F.
I enjoyed a fabulous lunch here with great service, exquisite Mediterranean and English cuisine (I greatly enjoyed my fish and risotto and my wife was impressed by her burger), atmosphere (90s Soul and cosy decor) and location near the Thames. Whether you are looking for a relaxed lunch, a candlelit dinner or an outdoors coffee and dessert on a hot day, this is a Chiswick gem and highly recommended.
N. P.
A truly delightful evening celebrating birthdays - talk about above and beyond - best service ever and delicious food. Go visit!
s. r.
Good customer service, smiley and friendly staff. The place is super cosy and nicely decorated. I had sirloin and it tasted really good and the portion was more than enough. Very much recommended and hopefully going back soon for breakfast.
L. L.
Excellent service had to change booking slot on two occasions, no hassle. We would definitely go again
S. P.
Really cool decor, nice cosy restaurant. Food was good quality. I would recommend the halloumi salad starter and the steak burger.
L. P.
Great ambience and service, and we really enjoyed our food.
L. C.
Beautiful ambience. Lovely, attentive staff. We both found the food so delicious (and I’m a fuss pot). Salmon en croute - highly recommend! We will be back.
S. S.
Very Romantically set restaurant situated just off the river. Food was very tasty and really well portioned. If you want to Impress a date or just hang out with friends then you will love this place. Also ample street parking available free after 12 mid-day.
M. A.
Great service, friendly staff (Larry is excellent) & tasty food
K. B.
Service and food is fantastic, I have been a few times for breakfast and enjoyed the lovely atmosphere at Annie's. Staff are very helpful and lovely. The avocado and poached eggs are delicious 😍
V. X.
Best brunch ever and the price is really nice around £10.
O. Q.
Really nice cosy restaurant, food is excellent and great service especially from Wiktoria.
P. T.
Really nice small restaurant, good food and service. Give it a go if you’re in the area.
J.
Great little place! Wonderful ambience, friendly staff, excellent food.
S. G.
Just found this place, brilliant! Staff were friendly, attentive and efficient. Food was excellent with great attention to detail. Catered for vegetarian also. Party of 4 throughly satisfied, we'll be back.
R. B.
Great cozy atmosphere. The menu reads like a list of all your home-cooked favourites. Excellent food and service.
F. W.
We had a wonderful breakfast in Annie’s, fresh and delicious. The setting is gorgeous too, very pretty.
J. W.
Excellent dinner at one of my favourite places to eat out. Very interesting new dishes on the menu, the scallops starter was super tasty and the chicken pie for main course was outstanding. Always love coming here.
L. R.
Absolutely lovely. Great decor, cosy atmosphere, solid drinks and very good food.
P. B.
Best asparagus risotto with sea bass still dreaming about it
T. C.
Great little restaurant. Amazing good. Friendly staff. Went there with some friends for lunch. The food was very tasty, the salmon was cooked perfectly on very flavoursome rice and salad. Service was quick and staff very attentive. Will definitely be back for more next time I'm in the area.
I. F.
Very good, but we were upstairs and the service was very slow
C. W.
Great food, friendly staff.
U. G.
Really good service, they went above and beyond to accommodate three very energetic under 3’s and 6 adults, very kind and we felt very welcome. The food was delicious and we got to spend a good 3 hours there without feeling like they wanted us to leave for the next customers- as it is a popular place. It’s rare that restaurants don’t rush you out after an hour in London these days so we appreciated that. I advise making a reservation as it is popular. My only criticism is I wish there was oat milk and better coffee. Otherwise top notch.
A. Q.
One of the best lunches I have had. Very courteous staff and excellent food
B.
Gobsmacking tasty food, friendly staff and cute interior. Amazing crème brûlé also.
M. P.
Went here for brunch on a week day. We were met at the door and given a table quickly.
We chose coffee, an Eggs Benedict and a mashed avocado on sourdough bread.
The coffee was brought quickly, and it is a good blend. We liked that it came in a decent sized mug.
The mains arrived after around 15 minutes, which showed in the good quality of the food.
Both meals were very tasty. The Eggs Benedict was a good portion size, however my partner was a bit disappointed in her portion size, although she enjoyed it.
The ambience of the restaurant is very good. Comfortable seating and tables. Background music that wasn't intrusive. Service was attentive without going too far.
There's also quite a few outside tables for better weather or if you smoke. Traffic noise is not a problem and it's a reasonable place for solo dining too.
The entrance looks as though it's wheelchair accessible. Toilet facilities were clean, but may not be wheelchair accessible (ask staff if needed).
We enjoyed our visit, and will go again when we feel like treating ourselves.
C. S.
Beautiful small hipster place. We had a lovely breakfast there followed by a stroll along the river.
M. A.
I heart this place. The food is made with fresh ingredients and high quality meats. I see the amazing butcher that delivers to them in the mornings! Quirky decor that brings this cozy feeling of happiness. Very comfortable setting. Highly recommend.
C. B.
Saturday night spot! Great location and free parking on weekends. The outside was beautiful especially now winter in coming in, it was lit up. We had amazing service by our waiter Kyle, very friendly, helpful and couldn't of asked for more, giving great recommendations on food and cocktails/mocktails.
We had a great experience at Annie's and would highly recommend trying it.
C. A.
Went there for lunch, delicious food, lovely ambience and good customer service
N. V.
Great place, with great ambience. Staff were very polite- love each visit and experience there. Would recommend to all my family and friends.
L. L.
Great independent restaurant. Worth a visit.
J. T.
I Screwed up a booking down the road. Called Annie's and they accommodated us straight away. When we got there Larry and the team were very welcoming. I strongly recommend coming here, we had the perfect night with well priced wine and food. Food was also spot on. we will return very soon.
L. C.
I had the pleasure of dining at this chic restaurant. The waiting staff were friendly and welcoming. We had three different waiting staff..each friendly, warm and attentive to our group. The atmosphere was buzzing and the food was delicious. My party of four have already locked in date to visit again next month.
c. w.
Fantastic service and food, beautiful spot for some lunch
R. L.
Great place. Quite and out of the way. After a fabulously large lunch, we went for a walk along the river. Very homely with friendly staff. Not the biggest place, with about 8 tables in total. Still, a lovely place for a couple or dinner with mum x
D. S. S.
The atmosphere and ambience is first rate. The wonderfully varied cuisine is similarly top quality. But on the two occasions I've been there it has taken a long time (45 minutes plus) from order to food being served. Recommended nevertheless.
J. L.
Lovely place with a like home feel to it. Friendly waiter and decent food. The portions were appropriate for the pricing, clean toilets and good location for our needs using the train.
E. E.
Excellent Sunday roast and great service.
A. M.
Lovely grub, great Bloody Mary, relaxed..
K. T.
Amazing food, good vibe. Nice pub opposite too
M. A.
Very average place not sure I agree with 4/5 ratings here. It’s sort of a place I wouldn’t mind coming to if I live locally and not many other options available. Burger is the most average burger I have ever had
J. M.
I went to Annie’s Chiswick with friends for dinner. As usual the service and the food was fantastic! It’s a cosy corner restaurant that is frequented by locals and celebs and Royalty alike and truly the hub of the community. I love this place as it has an ambiance that few restaurants can achieve. It is definitely in my all time top three choices for a guaranteed special experience! It’s a must and tends to be quite full of glamorous women and well dressed men but in a homely casual way! The staff seem to be relaxed and charming all at the same time a perfect combination!
R. W.
Incredible restaurant! Came here with friends a few weeks ago and was really impressed with the food, service and definitely the cocktails! Would recommend for sure!
T. C.
The decor is beautiful, we had an amazing meal for a friend's birthday. The food is top notch, we all had different and I particularly enjoyed the Pork Belly. The cocktails were delicious, my favourite was the Lychee Martini.
Would definitely go back, a real gem!
B. G.
Thanks for dinner thanks for the big mushy and all staff the annie's🤗🥰🥰🥰🥰❤❤❤
T. M.
Excellent food, lovely atmosphere. Fabulous spot for afternoon sunshine and nice staff.
M. M.
Amazing food! Accidentally went there and had the most delicious Chicken Vol au vent, salt and pepper squid and the surf and turf served to absolute perfection! Very well seasoned. Deffo one of my Top 5 restaurants! Going back next Sunday for the Lamb Sunday roast I saw on the menu. Keep up the good work :) Extremely satisfied customer
J. S.
Still my favourite lamb burger ever( and God knows I’ve had a few!) ; perfectly cooked( pink), with goats cheese and red onion marmalade. I also had the squid to start, which was outstanding and perfectly seasoned. I hadn’t been for a while, but still my favourite place for a cosy bank holiday get-together. I won’t leave it so long next time.
L. B.
Personal touch for people's birthdays. Delicious food although very rich for me.
F. M.
The mussels were amazing! Lovely decor, great service. Recommend!
H. p.
AMAZING! I’ve been several times and have loved it. The staff are super friendly and very accommodating. I always get the eggs benedict which I can’t recommend enough!
A. D.
It's a lovely place and food was delicious but quite pricey taking that the portions were small. We also had to wait 40 minutes for starters which probably was due to valentine's rush but overall it was a good experience.
S. R.
Annie's is a cosy, intimate and welcoming restaurant you'll want to keep coming back to. Food is good and served in plentiful portions. The room upstairs room can take larger groups. Staff are well trained and friendly.
J. R.
We loved the food! It felt like sitting in someone's front room but in a good cosy way. Very warm and welcoming interior. Best squid for sure, lightly dusted and tender! My main was a bit too big but oteer than that can't fault anything. Will come again.
E. T.
Excellent surprise for a relaxing and long family lunch. Service and food was first rate even after a bursting-at-seams crowd finishing breakfast. Highly recommend. £ was a nice surprise too!
J. P. (.
Lovely local restaurant, we hadn't booked and they were getting busy on Sunday evening but friendly staff were relaxed and gave us a good evening. We had whitebait, pork schnitzel on arrabiata linguine and banoffee. All good but schnitzel in particular was great quality and nicely balanced combination.
D. R.
Fabulous food and service.
Arrived a little late after getting lost walking from Chiswick.
Food is simple bistro But very well executed and well priced.
Only grumble is a 12% service charge - just put your prices up and pay your staff properly - perhaps we would still leave a tip !
A.
Today we had:
Lamb Roast
Chicken Roast
Halloumi Vegetarian Burger
Lemon and elderflower pressé (homemade)
Sticky Toffee pudding.
The atmosphere is very cosy. The staff are very friendly and talkative and nice.
The Halloumi Burger was amazing, except it was too big! You couldn’t eat it by hand, unless you have a very strong jaw. I halved it. However it was delicious! The portions were very large overall.
The Lemon and Elderflower Pressé was perfect, and so was all the other main courses.
The sticky toffee pudding was great, except we found the date core hidden in it, which wasn’t good. However, everything else of it was perfect. It came in an interesting bowl with ice cream.
Overall this was a very nice restaurant, definitely coming here again, strongly recommend it to all, as the menu was also full of a variety of options, so were the drinks.
E. K.
This is definitely a favourite place of mine and the menu changes regularly but there are always great dishes, from burgers through to curries and carefully presented with lots of attention to detail. You'll always get a warm welcome from the team that run it and a warm hello from the owner is she's there. The decor is shabby chic meets cosy boho and it's a lovely venue in one of the most picturesque river areas on the Thames.
P. K.
Amazing small place, had a late dinner here on Sunday few weeks ago. Staff were supper nice and very welcoming.
A. N.
Annie's is one of my favorite restaurants in London. It's delightfully quaint and beautiful; makes you feel like Alice in wonderland. And, it's not just about looks, Annie's has never failed to deliver best quality, scrumptious meals with impeccable service. It's my go to place for all special occasions and I can't recommend it enough!!!!!
D. B.
Service excellent. Decor very nice. However, being of simple tastes, it plumped for the burger. Looked amazing, but was bland and dry. The wife said her monkfish was excellent however.
D. I.
Consistent quality for over a decade. Intimate, romantic setting beats all riverside pubs in the area. Not for large groups. Great service!
L. S.
Chick cafe and restaurant in Chiswick. Lovely staff and delicious breakfast and brunch. You can't get in usually if you don't have a reservation. It gets really busy. We have been here many times now and love it. Definitely a good place to try. It is close to the river so you can go for a walk after brunch.
M. A.
Nice place for our post night out breakfast, tucked away from the main madness that is Chiswick high road. I had the full English and it was delicious. I was very full when I left given the generous portion.
A. B.
This is such a hidden gem in Chiswick! Incredible food, beautiful decor and a really lovely vibe. Great spot all year round. Can’t wait to go back!
s. s.
Love this place amazing food and great service wish we had more places like this!
M. F.
Fantastic atmosphere, interesting and varied menu, wonderfully crafted dishes with superb wine available even at the cheaper end of the wine list. Friendly and efficient service. Bit pricey but the quality and service are worth it.
h. b.
lovely place. nice and cosy, good cocktails, excellent food. also a cracking spot right on the river, although you don't get to see it. good for walking off your pudding though.
J. A. H.
Sooooo, Chiswick has a many warm and welcoming places. Annie’s is exactly that with its courteous staff and creative decore. Had a top notch cup of English Breakfast and a hearty shepherds pie. The vegetables felt like they had been hand picked from the back garden before they hit the Chef’s table. Must go with friends!
S. W.
The food and service in this lovey little restaurant bar was superb. Great menu with vegetarian options as well. Highly recommend a visit.
B. S.
Great food and atmosphere. Service took a very long time unfortunately, but once the food arrived (about 1 hour for starters, another 30-45mins for mains) it was delicious for all!
P. C.
Simple flavours and hearty portions make Annie's food more pub than gastropub, and though enjoyable it may be a little overpriced as a result. The range of wines bamboozled our waiter, but service was good on the whole, and the decor was quirky enough to give the place a rakish charm.
M. S.
Small place, but full of character, with awesomely delicious food and very tasty soup and cocktails.
Can really recommend the upstairs sitting area. Price is a bit high, but so is everything in Chiswick.
T. E.
A hidden gem, I nearly didn’t want to write this just so everyone didn’t know about it but I was in a good mood and decided to share this beauty with everyone as feel like the owners deserve that for creating this little gem :) just a beautiful place food wise and decor 5 star place
P. L.
Really good restaurant, the food is extra fresh, fine and delicious. The place feels like you are eating in someone living room. I really enjoy my meal and the service
A. S.
Solid service with a smile, nice food, even the cocktails were pretty good, but for £60-80 per head I think it should be exceptional. Would definitely go back.
L. S.
This is a lovely little cafe ,with seating on the outside as well as inside
J. T.
Great to be back at Annie's. Food as ever is fab, ambiance is peaceful.
B. L.
Absolutely brilliant. First class food, top class service. Great location and great atmosphere.
D. G.
Always a nice experience at Annie's. Never fails, even after numerous visits over the past 3 years or so.
S. C.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was of high quality and very tasty. Large options and fair price. Would recommend to anyone who wanted somewhere quirky and good solid quality.
J. M. V.
Great Full Monty English Breakfast!
D. H.
Food was good, menu not extensive but good variety and reasonably priced. Had good cocktails too. Had delicious watermelon margarita
t. s.
Amazing atmosphere ,with incredible food ( every dish is amazing I prefer the stake ) and the people are really trying their best .
B. C.
Nice relaxing stop. Food is good enough. Staff is nice. Nice slow pace, no rush. An old home converted to a restaurant. A nice place for food and quiet enough to chat
J. G.
Our absolute go to restaurant for everything that's perfect. Luckily we live 5 minutes away so to have Annie's open again is the best news for us
K. B.
Wonderful little restaurant in a quiet part of Chiswick. Parking is easy, food is absolutely delicious and the service was both personal and professional. Highly recommended, we shall certainly return.
E. p.
Such a cute cosy little cafe located in quite Residental area, with the Thames close by for a walk afterwards. Very inviting atmosphere. Service was excellent. Food was great.
A. M.
Friendly staff, fantastic food. Perfect after a few pints on the river bank. Chilli king prawns are to die for and the fish and chips is the best I've had in Chiswick
M. L.
Romantic restaurant in lovely Chiswick.
Recommended both for brunch (wide dishes selection) or dinner (especially on Mondays and Tuesday where you can take advantage of Prosecco nights)
Very few steps from Thames, where is lovely to walk by the sunset of after dinner.
M. K.
Annie's in Chiswick/Kew is one of my favourite restaurants locally - its great food, wonderful service and a fabulous setting. We enjoyed a lovely lunch there (have only ever been for dinner) so it was nice to see it in the day time - still a lovely atmosphere. Love it and will be having more lunches there from now on! Thanks for the lovely glass of bubbles to celebrate my 50th as well :)
D. B.
Great service as always! Very quiet for New Years Eve but I’ll put that down to austerity. Wonderful service from a Lithuanian girl and Irish boy. Great night!
0.
Fantastic little cafe i went there last year and the overall place had this cosy feeling and the food was excellent 👍
A. H.
Beautiful, cosy interior and great food. Very popular with locals and certainly worth a visit for a treat. Stroll along the river and finish with a meal here. Perfect.
S. P.
What a great restaurant. Had Valentine's dinner and loved it. Food was superb, venue and ambiance perfect. Will definitely go back
m. r.
Lovely atmosphere, good food and great service. Recommend the squid for starter and prawn and monkfish curry for main.
S. R.
Sweet local restaurat who did a great job keeping gluten from my food (coeliac) even though they were full and I was with a big party. Good selection of wine too
A. G.
Great little find. We’ve had Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner here and all was perfectly presented with a great atmosphere
T. G.
Wonderful atmosphere and service. The food is good but not great.
s. j.
Haven't visited, in over 2 years, due to lockdown, however the restaurant and the food , has not lost its touch, excellent service
P. D.
Thoroughly enjoyed coming here, the food was delicious and the service was faultless. Thank you very much, look forward to coming back soon!
K. S.

Quite an iconic place - always being updated but retains same fabulous atmosphere. Just lovely food, decor, location and staff.
C. W.
Loved it. Great food, best squid ever and lovely pleasant service. Can't wait to go back
D. N.
Have had this place earmarked for ages and so glad we finally went. Food was exceptional, as was the sparkling English wine choice
L. H.
The most delightful evening in a beautiful cosy atmosphere.
Superb meal.
Service just OK though.
M. S.
A great meal! Delicious plates with exotic taste in a wonderful location, far enough from the crowdy downtown London.
E. W.
Lovely little restaurant by the river with great food and service!
A. V.
It was a very nice night out, the lamb rump was delicious, ambiance was spot on.
P. M.
The menu isn't all that remarkable but everything is well done.
M. W.
Lovely place nice staff and nice food and loved the creme brulee 😘
G. L. P.
Annie’s has two wondrous outlets, one in Barnes and one in Chiswick. Chiswick is our choice for GLP as it was the first one. Nothing’s better than the original. Ask Westlife if you don’t believe us. Annie’s in Chiswick is set in a lovely little quirky house just by the river, bare brick walled and full of ornaments and flowers and shabby chic stuff. A veritable cocktail of kitsch and antique, there are chandeliers, gilt mirrors, cosy tables, purple velvet cushions that Prince would be proud of and candlesticks galore. Plus there are non-matching chairs, so you know it’s good. A tad girly in places but for the gents in the house there’s nothing wrong with getting in touch with your feminine side. Ask Westlife again.
Warm and welcoming, the first thing that hits you is that it feels like a home from home; a proper neighbourhood nest. As you walk in, the theme tune from Cheers starts playing in your head and ‘they’re always glad you came’. It would be an exaggeration to say that everybody knows your name but they look like they do.
Annie’s describe their food as ‘modern Brit-erranean’, which sounds like something you might put down in the census, but it certainly is delicious; comfort food to comfort the hungriest of hippos amongst you. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, eat inside or al fresco, upstairs or downstairs. Whatever takes your fancy. But make sure you try their signature cocktail, the Blush Royale: Champagne + rose syrup + crystallised rose petal = a bubbly treat for the taste buds.
If you happen to be considering dining here on a date à deux, pick the table by the window. It’s très romantique. The candlestick in the middle of the table won’t be the only thing melting if you do. Team that up with a walk down the river; west to Kew or east down to The Dove in Hammersmith, and you’ll be in good shape for some Barry White later.
Thanks for the tip off: Mariana Martins.
R. K.
Great place, amazing food and cocktails, very cozy and friendly. Not very expensive (lunch main course £15+), totally worth it.
D. R. d. A.
Excellent brunch options with excellent service. Fair price and taste good. Highly recommended with family and friends.
a. a.
Fantastic food. We are visiting from California and this is by far, the best food we had here in England.
Cheers!
J. M.
Great food, friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Will be going again :)
