S.Went there on Tuesday for the first time, and I have to say we really enjoyed our meal and the time spent at this lovely restaurant.
Excellent service, very clean and welcoming.
There is a variety of different dishes and the owner Ray was happy to accommodate us with our request.
If you don’t see something you like then do speak to Ray he is happy to prepare the dish to your taste.
Ray also suggested vegetarian dishes for me and both the dishes were delicious.(bhindi & egg plant)
My friends had 2 different Lamb dishes and they were pleasantly surprised as to how good they tasted and how very different they were from other Indian restaurants.
The dessert was chocolate samosas with Mango ice cream they were yum.
We are looking forward to visiting again next month.

We order on an almost weekly basis. Incredible bhajis and a lovely selection of veggie dishes. Amazing flavours and quality ingredients. Our 2 year old is even a fan!
I visited their gorgeous, spotlessly clean restaurant for the first time this week and was welcomed warmly by the lovely team.

T. K.This is a brilliant Indian restaurant in Winchmore Hill with an interesting menu with items that I've never come across in other restaurants. You can't fault the dishes here, everything was cooked to perfection and had an authentic taste. The lamb dishes were lovely and very tender and a lovely selection of starters and deserts.
The staff were very polite and helpful and went the extra mile to make sure your needs were taken care of.
I look forward to visiting again.

The lamb was soft and the curry full of mouthwatering flavours. The tandoori chicken was succulent and not too dry for a tandoori . To finish off a delightful saffron and pistachio Kulfi. Will definitely be visiting again!

Menu is quite limited - which is generally a good sign that they don't try and do everything. Our group of 7 ordered a variety of dishes - everything was fresh and diverse in flavour. Staff very friendly - chef came out to take order and recommend dishes. Really nice experience.
D. A.We have been going to Anokhi since it opened. It's very clean. The food is delicious as they provide an authentic twist to all their dishes. Ray always comes out of the kitchen to speak to the diners, and despite being busy, gives us recommendations. The Lamb Shank and King prawn dishes in particular are amazing as is the auberge dish for vegetarians.

P. C.Never dined there but their takeaway is really very good. Best I've had in the Palmer's Green / Winchmore Hill area (and I've tried everywhere!) Their tikka, tandoori, curries, sides and sundries all top notch. Highly recommended.

It was wrong it should have been 5 Stars ;) The welcoming was warm and polite, the recommendation of the gentle waitor were perfect (Aubergine dish & mix grill). And the food was absolutely marvellous!! So much flavour i was actually astonished. "Much better than Dishoom". Even the simple desert a Mango fruit direct from India where incredible. All that for a very affordable price: 2 starts, 2 mains, 1 Rice, 1 nan, 2 large beer, 1 desert: =56£. Well done to them. Be back soon.

My first time eating in the restaurant and I have to say the ambience and the hosts are delightful. This is fine dining at its best. The food we were presented with was amazing, we had several dishes along with nibbles ie onion bhaji a selection of preserves for the poppadoms, main we had marinated lamb that was slow cooked for 10 hours, the fusion of flavours on the lamb was incredible I'll definantly have that again. We also had fish in coconut monk fish, Seabass, prawns and salmon all cooked to perfection along with paneer cheese in a garlic and chilli sause. If you have been before let us know or if you are thinking of going a warm welcome by Ray and Joshna awaits you, they are both so passionate about the food they serve. I highly recommend this restaurant a gem in Winchmore Hill. In the comments I'll post some photos you definantly must try it and I'll be going back soon. L. C.We found this local Indian during the lockdown. Food is fresh and delivered hot. There's a great choice and you can tell great effort and care is taken into preparing each meal. We had the pleasure of popping down to dine in and shared the amazing veggie biryani platter. It was a feast of the most delicious rice, laced with spices, indulgent caramelised garlic, paneer, mushrooms, cauliflower and broccoli. I've actually never had biryani before and the bar is set high now. They've also a branch in Barnet now too. Go check them out.
B. P.Decided to try a takeaway from here, as the reviews are so good. Ordered the Lamb Biryani, and it was delicious!! Lots of tender pieces of lamb and so fragnant with spices. No skimping on the portion sizes either, each container was full to bursting. Very impressed.

The waiters were attentive and the manager/owner took time to make sure we were happy with our meal. We will definitely visit again.

S. R.Not your typical Indian, Anokhi meaning unique, this place is most definitely unique. I was surprised they had a nice Thai fusion and the menu is often changed. Not your normal Indian curry house a fine dining experience with lovely decor and atmosphere. Lovely owners and friendly staff will be back again. If your in the area and your craving indian food, then this is the right place to come.

Went for a family dinner on Sunday night and was blown away by the food and service. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and interior is by far the best Indian restaurant in the local area!!
Top tip: Ask the owner to recommend some dishes on/off the menu and you will not be disappointed
P. L.Finally an Indian restaurant that does not just serve up the same food as all the others in the area. Very good veggie selection. Most of the staff do not understand gluten free but the owner/manager does so wait for her and you will get correct info if that matters to you. Oddly the starters and mains came at the same time but food is really good. Will definitely go back and try some more of the veggie options great addition to the area.

Great food in a really friendly atmosphere. Menu so removed from the usual Indian that I thought the name was a play on Anarchy. It actually means unique so still appropriate.

Winchmore Hill has long been in need of a good authentic Indian food restaurant and I certainly hope the standard of the food remains the same...we will keep coming back for more!!!

There are no vampires in England and Bela Lugosi is no longer with us, so what has this to do with the food you may ask?
Well, most Indian restaurants have readily prepared sauces which contain garlic to which I am allergic, but Anokhi freshly prepares all the delicious food to my specification.
I never eat the right hand side of the menu and was very surprised at how reasonable the bill was.
Now, ladies please note the toilets are spotless and so is the restaurant.

Everything was delicious rich in flavours without being to spicy. Plenty of parking on the road close by and there's a carpark at about a 100yards. Easy to get here with the 329 and 125 bus service.

G. N.I can only really echo the reviews that are on here already. My friend had been going on about how good it is here but I wasnt prepared for how I would be impressed by how good it is. Im no indian food connoisseur but I have have eaten enough Indian Food over the years to be able to say that this is definately in the top 2 Indian restaurants I have been in judging by the food. If they keep this standard up they will blow the local indian restaurants away and word will spread and this place will be ultra busy.
So impressed by the food I almost forgot to say that the service was great and the staff serve with a smile and sense of humour and are chatty in a genuine way, which I love .......a great place all round.
