Reviews of AYA & SUKI

Visited around lunchtime on a Tuesday in early May. Got the falafel wrap for takeaway. It’s a good falafel wrap. The pickled stuff give it a little something extra, and I liked that very much. The staff were friendly enough. The wrap was ready in a few minutes. At £7 the wrap is decent value for money. I’d happily come back here for the falafel and would be interested in exploring more of the menu.

Really kind and friendly staff. Walked in and got the table downstairs - thought it would be stuffy but turned out to be nice and cozy. Will recommend the Batata Harra🤍

Amazing space on Broadway Market, playing absolute bangers!
Chilli Margheritas are to die for, just the right amount of spice to not overpower the original flavour.
Food is amazing too, veggie and vegan friendly

Came here on the bank holiday, and even though it was busy we were seated and served extremely quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful and the food was amazing. Great portion sizes for brunch, and excellent value for money. Will definitely be back.
T. P.
Amazing restaurant with great quality food and prices.
F. B.
Lovely atmosphere, amazing vegan food and the most friendly people behind the counter. Best place for a breakfast while in the Broadway Market area.

Nice restaurant with nicely presented dishes. But all food lacks flavour and salt. Falafel isnt great either.
R. L.
Great atmosphere, tasty food. I literally travel from southwest London just to go to this cafe!
P. H.
Excellent food and wine at dinner, good portions and very reasonably priced. Very friendly staff and a great atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

Absolutely loved my dinner here - heaps of gluten free options and the owner is knowledgeable about cross contamination. The fryer is completely gluten free as well. I would recommend the deep fried Halloumi - it's amazing. Will definitely be going back!
K. M.
Broadway market’s hidden gem! Great food and vibe :)
R. G.
The service, food, and overall experience easily as colourful and memorable as the shop front.
Happily the best Halloumi anyone in our party had ever eaten and the same was said about the carrots!
Don't make the mistake of going to the usual hipster spots again and again when there's (not so) hidden gems right on Broadway Market.
S. B.
A gorgeous little spot that makes you forget about the hustle & bustle of Broadway. Loved the platters but my favourite was the dhall & halloumi fries, the food tastes like only the best quality ingredients are used. Staff & the service were seamless, I had a wonderful evening!
C. B.
The food was amazing! And it's not expensive at all. Service was great
I. F.
Delicious food and drinks, awesome staff, beautiful artwork, great viiibessss
C. B.
Great brunch, proper pot of tea, cozy friendly atmosphere
A. D.
Delicious vegetarian food. We went for the Moutabal, Fattoush salad, Puy lentil aubergine, Aubergine Polenta chips, Crispy Cauliflower and Halloumi. Loved them all, but the Cauliflower was our favourite. Great espresso martinis. Lovely staff. Surprised how quiet it was for a Saturday night.
N. B.
Love the coffee and aubergine falafel wrap here, it’s pretty yum. Loved the name baba souks but I can get on board with changes 😋 it’s a bit of a wait sometimes even it’s it’s not too busy though.. not that I mind so much
M. P.
So nice. Also that Kiwi gal was an utter delight. ♥️ ps. The courgette fritters are next level!

Aya & Suki achieves a Goldilocks-zone experience. From warm welcome, elegant service, heart-warming food with a twist & a lighting which hits the spot.

LENG FOOD, GOOD DRINKS, GOOD VIBES.
Go go go go and eat there

Staff were very friendly and accommodating, food was delicious

Such a wonderful place, space, staff and gastronomic experience! Thanks, guys.

Service here requires a little polishing but perhaps i'd also be as curt if I'd been bludgeoned by the London Fields set all day too. That said the falafel here is strong and holds its own even in amongst the many a mangal in the vicinity. It's clean and polished, no bulky salad fills or flabby bread surrounds here, just a well balanced offering with an accomplished flavour pallette
S.
Amazing fresh food - full of flavour. We had the Suki brunch, I'd highly recommend it
L. S.
The loveliest vegan food, the loveliest time ♡ thank you ♡
E. T.
Absolutely favourite spot for a long way. Quiet enough in the week to work and their delicious food is certainly a motivation! The owner makes some mean baked goods, (ahem, tahini brownies!) and all the staff are wonderful. Totally worth leaving the house, it's like a home away from home :)
P. K.
A great vegan restaurant, very cosy and delicious.
G. B.
Beautiful little gem on broadway market. Food is unbelievable, falafel is top drawer. The music and the interior design provides a quite impeccable atmosphere. Charming Irish server helped us with the menu and he went above and beyond with his service. Excited to explore their dinner options next time round !
L. N.
Such a gem! The platters are the obvious choice - delicious, varied, fresh... And big! The food left us all satisfyingly full and was great value. Decor and staff are warm and welcoming too, fully recommended :-D

Great little restaurant that that serves delicious Middle Eastern food with super fresh ingredients. As far a I could tell all the dishes were vegan and vegetarian. The friendly staff, different seating areas and simple decor all made for a relaxing atmosphere. Will definitely go again.
R. H.
No queue, but very long wait for food.

You’ve got to try the organic falafel. Not only is it rare to find organic food at restaurants but it’s warm and delicious! Great tea selection, they even had a sugar free dessert. How about eating out without a guilty conscience? And the staff is super friendly, and the café is super cute. The garden in the back is being redone, can’t wait for it to be finished, it will look cozy and cute.
R.
Gorgeous little place. The food is delicious, we had the sharing brunch plate which was huge and pretty good value for £20. Coffee was really good too.
Inside this is a lovely cosy place with some nice areas to sit.
Service superfriendly.
J. T.
Such a great little restaurant! It has a wonderful atmosphere, very friendly and laid-back. The food is fantastic. Delicious falafel, halloumi and dips. Their brownie is one of the best I have ever had!
D. C.
Truly fantastic! Very laidback & cozy spot. Food is amazing, vegan & veggie friendly. Perfect spot to meet up for a meal with a nice bottle of wine & sharing plates. I can’t recommend it enough!
D. H.
I am dead and woke up in a vegan levantine heaven! Baba Vegan brunch for two pretty much includes everything we love about middle eastern food. All served with a touch of environmental conscious. By the time we were there they had already ran out of a few dishes. So try and head early if you can. Definitely a new favourite brunch spot in Hackney

This eatery is perfect for those who want to escape the busy hubbub of london life. My group and I ordered the veggie and vegan mezzo platters alongside a glass of the house white. The hummus included in the platter was the best hummus I have EVER had, and was topped with pomegranate jewels that gave opulent bursts of refreshing flavour. The cauliflowers bites(although having been skeptical) were to die for and seasoned, fried and made to perfection. The platter also had potatoes (similar to the likes of the spanish patatas bravas) and were melt-in the mouth successes! On the menu, the wine was noted as 'organic' and was so drinkable that I asked the waiter for the label.
This little humble hub of food and drink paradise allowed for a well-treasure evening full of relaxation, ambience and giving off the sense of a well-earns holiday!
Our waiter Jacob was knowledgable, chatty, relaxed, diligent and incredibly friendly which is often rare to experience. He peppered our evening with vigilance, amiable humour, chat and care and quite frankly made our evening a 10/10.
A kind thank you to Baba Souks for making a night to remember.
S. F.
Really unique, homely atmosphere. Food was excellent: sharing plates of simple dishes made from top ingredients. Great natural wine too.
A. G.
Such a great addition to Broadway Market.
Lovely staff, unpretentious vibe and fantastic food and drinks make this one of my favorite spots in London. Great music too!
R. M.
Wholesome mediterranean meals to share or eat on the go. My favourites are the falafel wrap or aubergine with halloumi. For £6.50 you get a good portion of feel good vitamins. Baba Souks loses a star as take-away will have you waiting for at least eight minutes. The restaurant is lovely though, so why not enjoy the space while you wait :)
Y. A.
Perfect falafel and amazing natural wines - what more could you want? Lovely cosy place with super friendly folk who work here. Will be renting it out for a private party next year for sure.
N. I.
AMAZING FALAFEL. I tried an array of middle eastern dishes here and was really impressed. The falafel, humus, baba ganoush and tabouleh were all top notch and delicious. I ended up speaking to one of the owners and he was telling me that they he sells natural wines which are far less likely to give you a hangover. I can report that I didn’t have my normal red wine hangover the next day. Also he was saying he has two Syrian refugees working for him. In short, a lovely socially conscious place, delicious food . Go downstairs and check out the outdoor area too.
L. B.
Awesome hot chocolate (raw cacao sweetened with honey) and a wonderful plate of scrambled eggs and sourdough toast. Lovely atmosphere, really friendly staff, would highly recommend.
E. H.
Delicious, wholesome, meticulously prepared food in a beautiful and relaxed setting. Very welcoming and friendly. I'll be back for loose-leaf tea and vegan pastries :-)
R.
Mind blowingly good. Best Middle Eastern food I’ve found in London in years. Very nice relaxed atmosphere and welcoming staff. Prices reasonable.
T. D.
The Middle-Eastern veggi Bababrunch sharing platter did hit the spot for our Sunday gathering. Fresh and tasty products (great runny-yoky poshed eggs). The Expresso was truly excellent too. Recommended.
F. F.
Small location, good atmosphere and a small but very good (vegetarian and vegan) menu.
Make sure you order the walnut tomato sauce and the halloumi cheese!
m. h.
Excellent vegan food and a lovely atmosphere. Really pleasant staff and a great music selection too. Highly recommend this place.

Nice wine but falafel was dry and hummus was served with two triangles of tortilla. Fine.

Get anything with potatoes in it, whatever they do with potatoes, it's pretty magical. Top points for food taste, portions, price and atmosphere.

Food is so reasonably priced I'm surprised it isn't completely heaving. Go there whilst it's new because this place won't stay quiet.
