Amazing food and amazing service. Best Turkish place in London. Atmosphere is great as well. Anthony Joshua as a regular here apparently.

Kebab meat was amazing. I had chicken doner. But. They don't use pitta bread here, only wraps and this wrap they used was massive. Terrible was that by the time I got to eat it, roughly five minutes or so. The wrap had dissolved so it fell all over the place. Very expensive too. £8 even for finchley this is high priced.

Every part of this meal was glorious. The service and welcome, the quality of the dips, especially the taramasalata and of course the tender meat that was generously portioned and cooked to perfection. To top it off we got baclava and Turkish delight as a complimentary treat after the meal.

Incredible experience! Portions are rather huge and taste amazing. Staff are extremely polite and welcoming, we were given dessert and Turkish tea on the house, which was lovely. Overall great! 100% recommend.

Probably some of the best Turkish in London. For 20 years I have been going here and I can confidently say that only one or two other Turkish restaurants in London are as good. The food is incredible - fresh, delicious, authentic and all prepared in house every day. No bought in pre-prepared cheap meat or non-authentic dishes here. Only the best of the best. You can see and taste the quality of the meat, the fresh made spice mixes and the expert cooking. The fantastic service, relaxed ambiance and excellent value make this a must visit for locals and tourists alike. The restaurant has recently been refurbished and the new design makes it even better. For a wonderful Turkish dining experience in London, this is your place to go!

I had chicken doner take away which was one of the best I have had as the meat quality was very good, and it was not too salty and fatty like most of the restaurants and kebab shops. I would definitely go back again if I am in the area.

This is a very special local restaurant. The Baran is a very welcoming and hospitable restaurant. The decor and service make this place very cosy indeed. The meat is always fresh as well as the salad, and the portions are extremely generous. You get free Chile and Garlic dips with fresh bread with your meal as well as baklava and fruit at the end of the meal. We have another local Turkish restaurant but this one is really the best. You can't beat the atmosphere and fantastic food!

I have eaten here a number of times in a family party and the service has always been spot on. The staff's patience when taking both drinks and food orders can't be faulted. As with many families, this can be a tortuous process with numerous changes of mind and general mayhem. The staff take it in their stride with a smile and a laugh. Once ordered, the food is plentiful and good. Again the staff are always on hand when needed. A lovely local restaurant.

Since discovering this place nearly ten years ago I have taken many friends and family there and it has become a firm favourite with them too. The decor is basic, the prices reflect that but the food is authentic (no supermarket breads here) and the menu is varied and prepared well. Don't expect frippery and fancy surroundings, just excellent food served by friendly and helpful staff.

A nice authentic Turkish restaurant, very good food, reasonably priced and friendly. I only give 3 stars because on occasion there have been issues ordering over the phone and upon arrival, no apparent order passed to the chef. I agree that these things can happen to even the best places, but it has happened to me more than once. In terms of quality, nothing to fault.

One of my favourite Turkish restaurants. Lamb and chicken is always cooked to perfection and tastes fresh. Personally I don't like the gamey taste of lamb, which is why I like to eat here. You don't get that horrible gamey smell. Love the fact you get little free baclava and Turkish delights at the end of your meal. I would highly recommend you try this place out. Try the mixed grill, that's a good choice if you want to try a bit if everything.

The cold mezze is absolutely great - good selection of dips with some salad bits and nice roast vegetable things and cous cous. The mains are decent and come with a nice fresh and tasty salad and bread. It's a good regular of ours. They also do delivery and you can order online. Definitely recommended.

Found this gem almost 12 years ago .. been to perhaps 80% Turkish restaurants in NW London and still keep coming back for what I think is the best Turkish food period. There are more famous joints around , but even my 8 year old wants to come back for his Adana kofte .. give it a try and I am sure you will come back for good quality food
