Reviews of Boisdale of Canary Wharf
T.
Really enjoyed the disco infused bank for Scottish burns week. The dinner menu consisted of Scottish cuisine. All very well prepared with good presentation.
Drinks were punching, I stuck to the original cocktails.
The cigar room is quaint, but quite enjoyable. Attentive staff! A well rounded selection of Cuban, and Domenica Republic cigars to mention. Music carried on until 2 am with a DJ downstairs.
C. H.
Great night out, primarily went to see The Brand New Heavies but the food was amazing and the drink selection was fantastic, particularly the whisky as you would imagine. Slightly pricey though so wouldn’t be a regular night out.

SHOUT OUT TO FLORIANNA! Three of us dined, for an experience evening filled with music and fun (on a 'school night' too ;O) it was my aunt's birthday, and I joined her and my uncle for a live Whitney Houston tribute show by a gorgeous singer, Janine J, who was fabulous! But I must say, the reason I feel compelled to write a note on here is because, of the wonderful attentive, superb quality table service, customer experience and overall incredible hospitality by waitress, Florianna. Felt safe and welcomed and for any rum drinkers, this is the SPOT! Beautiful views over canary wharf's iconic Cabot square too. Near station and other bars and situated in the shopping centre (smack bang outside Zara for my fellow shoppers). Awesome time and thanks again to Florianna, keep her at all costs! 🙌🏾🎄

Excellent service, great atmosphere and exceptional food. Possibly one of the most extensive whisky menus in London - ask for the bible. Food is reasonably priced but Boisdale is more than just about food and drink... it's an experience.. a venue where one could easily let 8 hours go by. I highly recommend this venue.
M. G.
I love this place.
In short - Cocktails, Oysters, Haggis, Steak, Truffle, Wine, Whisky, Cigars, Jazz........
Always had an excellent time here - but last night, something was just not quite right. It's been a couple of years since my last visit - naturally things change - but there were multiple issues with our dinner order/service problems - which was a real shame.
That said, everything else was superb, as always. A thoroughly enjoyable evening.
C.
I went to this venue with high expectations and those expectations were met and exceeded. My steak was perfectly cooked to my preference and the staff were very friendly and attentive.
The restaurant has one of the most relaxing ambiences I have ever seen. The jazz and music offered makes the meal an amazing experience.
Although high end prices, the experience is worth it for an great couples night.
A.
Great atmosphere. First time visiting. Food was amazing. Best part of our night was our waiter Fabio. He was very attentive and catered to our every need. 5☆☆☆☆☆

Had a lovely evening. The food was surprisingly good. Service was great, friendly and accommodating.
Entertainment was enjoyable. A lovely option for those who have outgrown clubbing culture but still enjoy good food and music.
The bar is fabulous with a broad wine list and a plethora of spirits. You may have to sell a kidney and part of your liver to afford some, which kind of defeats the point.
On the pricey side which is why it loses a star. But would certainly go again.

Boisdale is actually very amazing. Top notch restaurant with two exclusive bars. Good food, live music everyday, great ambience, and they've got the largest collection of scotch whiskeys I've ever seen in a London restaurant/bar. Over 150 different brands of scotch whiskeys, unbelievable. It is a perfect venue for an afternoon or evening date, birthday or celebration dinner, or just a fun chill out with friends or family. Very professional staff, you should also check out their cigar bar, and carry some extra cash. All the goodies doesn't come cheap..
D. C.
Fantastic Sunday afternoon lunch and listening to Jazz. I feel like a real grown up. Made to feel special and it wasn't even my birthday. Loved it.
W. R.
Dinner and show! Wonderful!
Waiter patiently explained the menu and made suggestions. Food was wonderful
I saw the Luther Vandross tribute singer.
Singer excellent in getting the audience involved.
Very nice venue for a night out!

Absolutely Amazing!!! Beautiful atmosphere, lovely music. Ideal for friends and couple events. Food was delicious.
D. R.
Couldn't get to the second floor as did not realise I needed a booking but someone suggested looking at the first floor instead.
Generally expensive in the sense of "London prices" especially for what is expected at Canary Wharf but ultimately really nice drinks and a great wine selection (had the house larger which was delish!).
Live DJ playing UK Soul - blaring the music with with a small dance floor and created a very good vibe.
Great customer experience from both the doorman and the waiters/waitress (Carlos and Ada)
L. C.
Lovely place but might be worth taking a second mortgage to pay for drinks £14 for one little but very nice cocktail (a mary pickford) as for the food was lovely but again overpriced but guess being in canary wharf prices wont be cheap
J. C.
Visited when they were easing #lockdown #restrictions and it was very #safe. Staff wore #masks and we were #sociallydistanced from other #patrons. The A La Carte #menu is great but they could improve the #dessert menu by having more choice of desserts.
Also would recommend spending 30 minutes looking at the photos of various #celebrities they have on their walls.
F. R.
Excellent food and service. The staff made such a big effort to make this an unforgettable night with my family. Even letting us to go up to listen to a bit of the live music after a fabulous dinner.
M. P.
Great atmosphere, went top floor for a lovely meal overlooking the fountain and down to 2nd floor bar for a drink.
Lively place, drinks are quite pricey but you are in canary wharf so to be expected. Highly recommended
D. D.
Bar/cocktail bar with clubbing music past 9pm with the prices at higher end than usual in central London or Canary wharf. Dress code is important , no sports wear. Bar staff is really friendly and helpful:)))
J. A.
Fabulous venue excellent Sunday lunch with live music
Y. L.
A really fabulous place to eat. With great entertainment, beautiful decor, brilliant customer service and of course delicious food! Well worth the experience
C. B.
Food was ok, but very under seasoned. Once I added lemon and salt and pepper it was much better. Definitely over priced as the food wasn't great. However the location is quite scenic, and the food looks visibly nice. The staff were not great, especially our waitress who seemed rude and is if she didn't want to be there, not helpful at all.
P. W.
Had a great evening here with friends. Food was impeccable, service excellent too. For those who wish to indulge, the whisky choice is pretty damn good. I had oysters to start with chilli & ginger, they were absolutely to die for!! Haggis, needs & tatties for main, and really, really good too - friends had the chicken & the steak, both looked fabulous!! Really nice place, and will definitely go again xx

Went to the boisdale of Canary Wharf for the second time in my life and the atmosphere was still alight. Staff were all very attentive, professional and friendly: some even joined in the dancing shenanigans of the Aretha Franklin tribute night, which was great. Not pretentious just great food and hospitality with an air of mystery and smooth Jazz 😎😉
J. B.
We had dinner and had an amazing act from the past odyssey. They were absolutely amazing. Dinner was good. Service first class with excellent servers. Not cheap but worth every penny. Can not wait to go back. Just smiled all night. Incredible evening out. Try it.

I had dinner with some friends there. The food was amazing, the products are good quality and fresh. The selection of wines is outstanding. Lucia, the manager was so attentive during the entire dinner. Overall, there was live music. What else you could ask for? Definitely I would come back!
T. A.
Beautiful Jazz & blues club. The food was delicious. The staff professional and kind. They actually ask for the name of their guests and use it all through the night. Our table host was Alberto who gets 8 thumbs up from the 4 of us.
I.
Lovely Sunday jazz and lunch .
You have to access from near Canary Wharf DLR Station shops area in lift
J. P.
Mi-soul freedom party - what a night. Danced till 2am, was so good to be in a club environment again. Great venue and lovely crowd.
S. F.
Fantastic place. Thoroughly recommend jazz band and singer amazing. Food superb. And good value for money
N. M.
Great entertainment (Rat Pack tribute) and friendly staff, however the food let it down. One meal arrived before the rest and we had to chase it up, some of it was cold, chips were greasy.
w. w.
Wonderful!
Invited to a show with dinner.
Food great, waiter friendly, show wonderful!
Travelling easy by car or Docklands Railway.
C. 9.
Unfortunately fully booked for a Rat Pack evening, but on the off chance, we called in to see if there were any no shows - staff could not have been more helpful and managed to squeeze us all in - had a fantastic evening, brilliant live music. , food and drink and a wonderful atmosphere - totally recommended
M. U.
Wow really nice Sunday lunch with Jazz, can't be bad. Good food and extensive wine list. Lovely atmosphere and great service.Nice touches as it was my wife's birthday. Certainly will go back.
A. W.
Great night, Artur looked after us really nicely
G. L.
Had a burger, chips, carafe of the house Bordeaux 2018 and smoked some of my own cigars on the terrace. What a place. Awesome. Amazing service, real "dirty" burger and great staff. If you're a cigar-head or cocktail-head, it's a must-visit if you're in the Wharf. 👍🏻
M. H.
Fantastic experience as a large group for a 30th birthday party. Service, food, drinks and music were all brilliant. Thank you.
J. B.
The venue is unique, good service lovely staff. I highly recommend the saltfish fritters I could eat them all day 10/10 for the fritters. My second dish ermm was the jerk chicken and rice n peas not to my taste I'm not sure what part of the Caribbean the chef came from😳 Saxon Sound night nice choons it is a shame that we weren't allowed to dance🙃🎼so let's hope these covid rules leave ASAP
M. M. M.
Great food, cocktails and reggae music on a Saturday night
S. T.
Great food. Friendly staff. One of the largest collections of Whisky you'll ever see. Also a massive cigar collection. Live music most nights on floor 2 and star DJs on floor 1.
O.
Solid venue. Was very busy pre pandemic. Balcony is good. Food so /so. Live music, decent bar and impressive cigar room + whisky. One of the best spots in the wharf for a drink.
V. B.
Amazing !!!!! Dinner and show. Absolutely brilliant evening. Food was delicious, service from Frederika was outstanding. Rat Pack show was just wonderful. Beautiful venue, so well managed and we had a really wonderful time.
L. H.
Generally a nice afternoon spent here. The food was fine, maybe not worth the money, but then I don't have much of that!
Roast meat was nice and tender- potatoes were good. I don't like the sharing veg 'thing'
Desert was yummy! And cocktails were nice.
S. M.
amazing place, great food, fantastic night live music omg they were amazing and the staff r 100% best place ever theres nothing negative to say
M. G.
The best thing about this lunch was the lovely host. The food is okay, and as part of the set lunch offer it's fine. As a rule though, Boisdales prices are a bit steep for the quality. What we normally come for is the music. Sadly, the Sunday we visited had a decent (very late starting) band with a very, very ordinary singer. Diction and tone horrible. Shame.
H. V.
We went there to watch a show and have dinner. It's an upmarket place. Although anyone can attend. Some wore jeans, some dressed up and some in between. We saw the Wailers. Tickets were about £40 just for entry. Glass of wine £10+.. Prosecco was around £12. Bowl of chips were delightful. Very small portion but extremely tasty. The mayo n Ketchup were 2nd to none. Obviously we ate before we got there, but a meal starts from £37+. Not sure if it's 3 courses or less. We just drank. The waiting staff were amazing and very good clean functional environment. Very romantic place to bring your partner. Silver service. Upon entry we had a table allocated to us and we left and went downstairs to the other bar (with a small dance floor) and R n b and Reggea music to have drinks. Tables were there also but not as many for people who were booked to eat. We then went back upstairs to our table to enjoy the show. Most people were down to earth. Drama free environment. Very diverse clientele, ages, colours and class.. Really enjoyable night. 4 stars because the show was short and no encore. Bring lots of money!!

We have gone to Boisedales many times over the past 6 years of being together. It was our first Valentines, one of our early dates, we've brought many family members and it really was one of our favourite places.
We supported you during lockdown on virtual events and bought additional produce from your suppliers, all of which was fantastic.
We know many restaurants in London are struggling with staff due to the double-whammy of Brexit and Covid. It's such a shame as we have loved benefiting from the amazing restaurant scene here.
We've come to you 3 times since lockdowns opened and last Sunday was our most recent. The service is gradually improving. Management has of course been excellent throughout and on Sunday dealt with our problems perfectly. But the issue is we don't want to have a problem to begin with. The quality of the cookery is not yet back to where it was. I hope you are able to get there soon because we want to look forward to coming again.
R. V.
Amazing view and atmosphere in Canary Wharf and probably one of the best steaks in London. Reservation is a pre, prices up-scale but service is excellent let alone the quality of the beef. Cigar and whiskey collection together with quality wine makes it a great experience all together. And then in the end, you can enjoy a cigarette on the terrace gazing at the skyscrapers.
O. S.
An excellent establishment in Canary wharf, Cabot Place. We enjoyed an early dinner in the 2nd floor main dinning room.
Our waiter Fabio was very friendly, helpful and did a great job in ensuring that we had an enjoyable time.
We enjoyed a number of drinks from the cocktail menu before ordering our food from the Supper and Show menu.
We ordered both the Smoked Salmon and the Crispy Squid starters which were very good and then the main dishes of Fillet Steak, also the Salmon, Prawn and Haddock Fishcakes as well as the Chickpea and Carrot Strudel.
The main dishes were very good and very well presented.
Our meal was accompanied by a very nice bottle of Italian Fiano Roycello recommended by Fabio.
The wine list is extensive and varied with a large selection from around the world.
For dessert we had the Raspberry and Lemon Sorbet, the Cheesecake, the Crumble and the Sticky Toffee pudding.
These were all very good and once again well presented.
To accompany our dessert we enjoyed a bottle of Gavi De Gavi La Contessa which was excellent.
Although we had not booked tickets for the Live music show Fabio and the Dining Manager were kind enough to allow us to stay for the performance of The Legends, a reggae band specialising in Bob Marley covers.
They were very good and all in all we had a great evening.
I would certainly recommend a night out at Boisdales and especially the Supper and Show.
An Ideal location for a dinner and live entertainment with friends, family or a date night.
M. G.
We went for dinner to see the definitive ratpack . The food was very tasty and the staff were very happy to assist us to have whatever we wanted. The decor of the restaurant was very warm and so pretty. I'm so pleased we got to have such a good seat to see the show.
M. G.
This place serves great food and the atmosphere is so warm with the colours chosen in the restaurant area. The acoustics are very good and there is a view from the windows. Highly recommended.
Н. И.
This gem is hidden in Canary Warf. The first thing that catches your eye is the decor. Even not knowing much about the restaurant you immediately spot Scottish influence. The food is good. If you try the same dish several times within a period of time, it might taste or be served in a different way.
One of the advantages is that it's quite calm, not crowded which is typical for CW.
There restaurant is on the two floors, although the second floor is called "Oyster Bar" and the third "Grill Bar", there's one menu for both.
In the evenings some concerts by musicians or singers are held in Grill Bar.
So, it's worth visiting.
J. P.
Saw Loose Ends here LIVE - what a night! The place was rocking👍What a location! Over looking Cabot Square, very swanky👌The food was exquisite 🥂 The service second-to-none ⭐ The bar/ terrace on the 1st floor where the dj played Rnb, soul, rare groove to the crowd - quality 💯
m. d.
Lively spot on the weekend, soulful music. Good drinks and cigar lounge.
Z. N.
Fantastic atmosphere and very friendly staff. Our cocktails and food were spot on and the management has even arranged a dessert with candles for my birthday. Super impressed with the place and I will definitely return! <3
R. R.
Enjoyed Burns Night there. The Rat Pack music trio was a little cheesy. Would have liked to have had a dance floor.
c.
Had a great evening here. Danced the night away with the Mi Soul DJs. Food was OK pretty average for the price you pay but as others have said, you don't come here for the food more for the music vibe
K. J.
Nice spot for dinner in the wharf. USP seems to be the shows but we just enjoyed some dinner. Nice setting and food was tasty, but I thought the ribeye was quite sinewy.
M. C.
Great place for a classy Sunday lunch live jazz. We've been there twice and intend to return.
C. E.
Brilliant evening great food staff so good and attentive.
Such a great atmosphere.
Would definitely go again ..terrific show x
J. G.
Top class venue, staff are amazing and Fil Straughan and his band were superb. Can't wait to visit again.
K. W. T.
So many negative reviews saying that the food is expensive. Did someone hold a gun to your head and demand that you go and eat there? I guarantee you that the majority of those that complained have been there again since. Think before leaving damaging reviews!
J. w.
Great atmosphere, good drinks, food, and service. Went with a member so was able to enjoy the whiter members terrace. We were very well looked after despite how busy it was.
K.
Good friendly service and good value with extra drinks. The place is quite big but the tables were small. The food was ok. We had Sunday roast and chicken. The roast was a bit fatty and the chicken was good. Good view from where we were seated.
N. M.
It is what I call a cosmopolitan of food, drink, people in a very high end environment. 1st floor more relax with DJ, menus to reflect their different nights and evente, 2nd floor ala carte food with live entertainment. Dress code glam for the girls dress, leather jeans and shirt, men smart casual. Some guys wear trainers on the 1st floor less appropriate on the 2nd floor.
You need a map becauae you will get lost. Just ask the security around the building.
Parking is at least 5-10mins walk so bring flats girls until you get close by.
Trains transportation is better as you can get there hassle free.
D. A.
The only place I knew had cigars in Canary Wharf.
Service was top class but tbf looks like a place which used to be luxurious but now looks a tad run down.
R. J.
Great food, fantastic ambience, lovely friendly staff, and great music.petfect day out and we will be back!
M. Z.
Wonderful Scottish restaurant with very good haggis and great Rat Pack
L. A.
Really loved the atmosphere. Loved the music. Great music if you love dancing. Great place to meet people too.
E. S.
On arrival was not a welcoming greeting what so ever. And when I mentioned we were there to watch the live act she looked as if I spoke alien. Our waiter however was very attentive. Good spot for dinner and music
P. T.
Very elegant venue overlooking Cabot Square with seafood, pasta and steaks. All cooked to perfection and beautifully presented by very attentive waiting staff. Cooked mussels portion is very big (you will happily share). Excellent bread. Great live band too
p. b.
The music was great 👍 food was also fine but the dessert scottish raspberry rum baba was worst,we 4 friends left without dessert as it had some weird taste!!
R. W.
Fantastic place to visit an eat , service was superb, but I've sent them an email about the price of drinks , an I,ve not had a reply, but great night ,
D. D. s.
Definitely a vibe here went to see c Hill Street soul and the British Collective also Aretha Franklin tribute night all of which were phenomenal
B. B.
Great atmosphere and live music, food could have been slightly better but wasn't bad
A. P.
Beautiful place and atmosphere, had the venison burger which was amazing. Would recommend to anyone!
P. S.
Always loved this place. Sid Lawrence big band night was just great.
The staff are excellent. The place is cool.
Drinking on the terrace smoking a cigar listening to soul music after was so smooth.
J. W.
Excellent ... great venue food delicious and great staff and enjoyed the Band in the night Hill At Soul .... enjoyed 😊
C. L.
Amazing atmosphere with fabulous food. We went to see Jools Holland, Ben Waters and Paddy Milner all play piano together with special guests too. Well worth booking a table and the staff were on top form.
M.
Dish itself was very tasty, but too expensive I would say. I had to order side dish separately otherwise I would be still hungry. Dezert very good. Place seems to be very popular and staff is nice. Very pricey!
C. M.
Great place in great location with views overlooking Cabot Square in Canary Wharf. Live music, excellent food, and first class table service. Would highly recommend.
D. M.
Went for Sunday lunch with jazz. It was fine. Didn't blow my socks off though!
R.
Very nice view and music. The service was very good. Perfect for a drink.
R. F.
First visit, thought it was brilliant . Went see Osibisa (great band) but fell in love with whole experience. I'll be back.
D. M.
Atmosphere - great. Music - excellent. Service - very friendly. Food - good but not great.
However...
With £130 VIP tickets to a show we were asked to arrive at 7:30 for a 9:30 start. By 7:40 or starters were on the table. Wine was served literally whilst the waiter was still at the table taking our order. Our main arrived at 8:00. "Two course" was starter and main it turns out, so there we were at 8:20 having finished our VIP menu wondering what to do with ourselves.
Both of us had the "7oz centre cut fillet". I didn't take my scales with me, but I would have bet big money that the steaks we were given were under 5oz when they were lovingly placed on the grill. Ironically, if the menu had said 5oz I wouldn't have taken issue as there was no supplement for the steak. Shame on them, as, for me, feeling mugged on the steak and the "starter/main" two course to trick together made me wonder whether the service speed wasn't just clumsy, but another ruse to get bored patrons to blow a further ton on another bottle and two puddings.
Food quality was high by jazz club standards, but not for a good restaurant. The offerings we ate and saw had the vibe of being developed by a great chef for untrained staff to plate up whilst he or she sat at home watching TV. In their defence perhaps the à la carte restaurant experience is different.
Don't get me wrong - it was a truly great night, but with the cost for two for the evening coming in at a couple of brandies under £500 in total, being essentially let down by two ounces of steak and some snide timing seems unforgivable.
Next time I'm playing their game by arriving at 8:30, with a hip flask, a pack of cards and a pocket full of chocolates.
W. L.
With groupon voucher ordered steak with unlimited chips and one side for two. Steak was over cooked. Side dish was very small only chips were very satisfying. In general it is not a good value for money. Even with the voucher felt like we paid a lot for we had.
M. B.
I regularly attend Boisdale for after work drinks and some times dinner as I work in the area .
They have themed nighs as well as established singers on stage so you can eat and drink and see your favourite artists as well Boisdale cover a wide genre and you can find a something to suit your taste its nice to treat family and the food is excellent well prepared and very nice as well being reasonably priced I am always shocked when the bill comes as it is so reasonably priced.
The service is great and they have all the popular drinks and others that are not so familiar
Like Jamaican Rum Wray and Nephew and Appeltons.
They also do a on going regular Saturday night Saxon sound system 9-2 which is very popular.
This is a really good night out no matter what you choose to do I highly recommend Boisdale.
C. L.
Thoroughly enjoyable Sunday lunch and our Travelzoo deal was very good value. Have to say, the drinks are somewhat over priced and, given the venue, I felt the service could have been a bit better.
D. W.
Love the location. Jazz lunch on Sunday...not much jazz! Meal good in parts must mostly average. Nice day out. Good service.
A. S.
Absolutely incredible. The Canary wharf branch is the best one. I had the rib eye and the truffle parmesan chips. My goodness what a meal. And the décor is something else. My photo didn't do it justice. Great restaurant
G. N.
Very nice restaurant, with love music while you enjoy your food, helpful and friendly staff.
R. C.
Loved it we went to see Janet Kay an Carol Thompson with Victor R brilliant as always... Great food great atmosphere defo go there again great venue an easy to get to 👏🏽
F. S.
Great evening at Boisdale... Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin night was excellent.
L. S.
At the beginning, it was a little bit cold because nobody wanted to dance and preferred to enjoy their drinks! But then, the DJ has put some Carnival music and everybody was on fire with the Brasilian dancers!
S. M.
Went to see Gabrielle. The food was good, with a nice choice for a set menu. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Sadly, the acoustics of the building are terrible, to the point where you couldn't hear what Gabrielle was saying in between songs, and her performance was difficult to appreciate. The music that played over dinner before the live show was incredibly loud, so you had to shout. Even though it clearly tells you that dancing is not allowed due to COVID and the need for distancing, the table next to us danced repeatedly, coming over and standing inches from us. One lady was so drunk she kept touching us, speaking inches from our faces. The table also used their vape several times and, despite us telling staff, it continued. I had high hopes and expected Boisdale to be a little classier than it was. The clientele was more hen party/stag do than I would have thought. Not a terrible night out, but the price of the gig and dinner - not to mention the eye-watering bill for drinks at the end of the night - did leave you feeling cheated.
S. W.
Came for the jazz Sunday lunch. Amazing food and impeccable service. Staff were attentive and great hosts. Would love to come again
h. b.
Great experience. Friendly staff, fun place and food excellent
S. L.
Great atmosphere and the food was nice. A huge Thank You to Frederica who gave us excellent service and made sure we had a great evening (even though it was very busy because of the football)!
J. H.
Great staff, even better food and the drinks menu is beautifully extensive. Ask for the whisky bible if you're a fan of whisky.
S. W.
First impression: Excellent. We arrived at around 8pm on a Friday without a reservation and were impressed with the accommodating reception staff. We were seated very comfortably outside on the terrace. Smoking at the table a rare delight nowadays;
- Service: Quite slow, which is understandable at the moment but we had to ask twice for water and drinks that were ordered and did not arrive. We ordered some drams from the late 1960s (quite pricey but that's what you pay for good whisky) which arrived in bashed crystal tumblers. We had to ask for Glencairn glasses and a wee jug of water - the staff seemed utterly clueless about serving good whisky, which was surprising given the very impressive whisky menu and sterling reputation of Boisdale. Not to bash the staff - they were very pleasant but just seemed unknowledgeable. A waiter singled out our female friend who was not drinking drams with a recommendation for a light whisky (of course it was Auchentoshan) which was a bit condescending since she is fairly knowledgeable on the whisky front - we humoured him and ordered one, but were a bit annoyed when he kept coming back to ask her how it was - it just got embarrassing when he started banging on about how the Glencairn glass is the "original whisky glass and very old". We didn't have the heart to tell him it is scarcely twenty years old;
- Atmosphere: Very tranquil on the terrace with the sun setting, the excellent patio heaters and the chatter of folk enjoying themselves. We even spotted Ranald Macdoland himself, the MD of Boisdale and an interesting chap as I understand it from watching a Cigar Aficionado video a few years ago, who - in fairness - seemed to be putting in a shift overseeing the staff and making time to speak with them. The music was then ramped up and we had to listen to some dull thumping and "birthday shout outs" from the main bar. The waitress was very accommodating and turned it down for a stint, which was very good of her.
All in all a good night. Though I think the excellent food, drams and cigars (which we did not sample on this visit) were a little dulled by the service and music. Granted, it must be hard to cater to the whisky/cigar brigade with the office work drinks and younger folks in for a proper night out. Will definitely come back.
R. B.
Nice food, amazing ABBA entertainment!
S. D.
Amazing place. Fantastic decor. Staff amazing. 5* food, 5* service. Highly recommend. Plus live Soul/Blues/Jazz and plenty of Whisky. What more could you need.
M. L.
Awesome place! Food is good and service is well done plus great live music!
J. M.
Regardless of all the bad reviews. I have never been there and not had a great time.
D. M.
Great atmosphere and location. Classy but unpretentious. Fabulous live music from The Odyssey Band.
J. M.
Great range of whiskies and a great terrace and yes, the food is fantastic!
L. P.
Fantastic food if you do get chance to see hear the live bands its worth while. Great selections of wines, other alcoholic drinks also soft drinks
B. H.
Great service in a relaxed and funky atmosphere. Interesting menu with good seafood. Caviar and lobster both excellent.
H. H.
Food is delicious (though used to be even better) and decor is absolutely stunning.
J. C.
Lovely service, excellent food, and amazing music. Highly recommended.
R. G.
We had an incredible meal of smoke salmon, haggis, steaks, and pasta. The dessert was outstanding. The drinks were spot on and wonderful. Service was first rate. Then, a jazz band showed up and this young woman with an old-school voice started belting out old ballads to complete a wonderful night. The venue has an "old school" charm. The food was first rate as was the service. The entertainment was excellent, a thoroughly good evening. Highly Recommended.
G. W.
Everything lovely but just BLARING MUSIC so couldn't hear ourselves talk, nor hear the waitress nor she us! Why do restaurants keep doing this - not all the visitors are teenagers! Don't want to shout for 2hrs again so won't be revisiting or recommending. Also car park booked into below restaurant Cabot Place for £12 was impossible to find as all access roads to it blocked off! Waiter told us access is through hotel. Great. We'd ended up going to another car park in Jubilee Park for £3.50! Absolutely no directions/instructions anywhere outside nor from restaurant when they called to check we were still coming. All in all, made me wish we'd booked local!
S. G.
A great place to go for Sunday lunch and enjoy a lovely relaxed meal whilst listening to superb jazz. The service was excellent and would definitely go again.
H. B.
Good food. Good show. service great
Good night out loved it.
N. G.
Worthy of a night out for you and the misses, but you made need (deep pockets) because decent seats are costly, the most inexpensive bottle of (plop) is £79? You might get free parking for about (3) hours depending on the gig? (Forget about trying to find somewhere to park on the road)? And too truly be able to enjoy the place, you may need to be an successful investment broker/banker?
J. H.
Great nite out, both for food and entertainment, cocktails are a bit pricey for what they are......weak but worth going to, I will be going again
Y. E. A. S. S.
Welcome & service excellent. Wonderful hostess, I left very pleased with the experience.
J. S.
Excellent jazz lunch, large portions of good food. Wine was expensive.
h. j.
Amazing venue with fantastic live music and even a cigar room to relax in. One star down because the food can be better.
S. H.
What a pleasant experience ! was not expecting such quality service, amazing food, Cuban live music to complement it all . Looking to book regular visits , well done guys, keep it up !
L. O.
Went there with a party of 6 - age range 21 - 85. Food was wonderful. Lobster/steak combo £25 was just superb. Dad had the haggis - said it was great - daughter had the burger - delicious. There is a grill bar and menu at 1st floor - we went to 2nd floor restaurant - at dusk lovely views over the lit trees at the Wharf. Just lovely. Service, staff, food, attention to detail all first class. Beautiful bar with extensive range of whiskies. What's not to like.
M. H.
Went to Boisdale with a mate and was pleasantly surprised. A reggae/soul night on Burns' Night of all nights! Even had bagpipes to make it authentic!
L. R.
Great place. We tried caviar, seafood-plate and a selection of cheeses.
M. H.
Great event, great whisky bar, although rather expensive!
M. R.
We loved this restaurant, food was amazing and staff were lovely , I would have given it 5* except for the woman on 2nd floor reception tonight that gave us no greeting or even a smile we just received a stare, same when we left , it's a shame as everyone else was lovely.
M. G.
I was a regular at boisdale before Covid, Saxon sound on a Saturday evening was just brilliant great atmosphere great music, lovely cocktails, my only complaint is the price of drinks, for a very good night out you need to take out a second mortgage, other than that boisdale is a classy place to go for a lovely night out.
V. M.
Very good
A. B.
Lovely select venue, staff very welcoming and helpful especially the young Spanish waiter who served us on table 152😊
u.
Very nice upmarket venue, food good. Bar downstairs; brilliant and Dj music from Mi souls Micky D..
K. M.
Excellent meal, service and wine. Well worth the size of the bill at the end
D. L.
Beautiful venue! Excellent service! Quite pricey but you do get what you pay for. Would I go again - absolutely!!
V. C.
Fantastic good, service was impeccable & Rat Pack was absolutely incredible.
l. m.
Table service is average but the decor is amazing. Food is 7/10
D. L. L.
Came in for a quick bite. Food is A**, great service from Anthony who was our waiter.
H. D.
We had an enjoyable evening. The staff were excellent, the atmosphere great, the food good but what stops me from giving 5 star's is the lay out of the venue. I had paid for a premium table which I assumed would give me a great view of the stage. What we ended up with was a constant stream of waiting staff walking in-between out seating area and the stage resulting in having to watch the act on one of the several large screen's around the venue.... Slightly disappointing
Will I be returning? The jury is out at present!
K. M.
Excellent Sunday lunch with freinds, A good jazz band and all wonderful 👍
N. B.
Nice. Food was quite expensive, quality was decent enough
R. D.
Pre-dinner drinks, meal and after meal cigar - Perfect evening out! The bar area was messy and dirty but the ambiance was lively with a good vibe.
For the meal we went with the Chateaubriand which did not let down. Truffle fries and garlic mushrooms was just perfect and an absolute treat.
We decided to treat ourselves to a Cuban cigar in the cigar room by the bar after the meal and was pleasantly surprised. The gentleman at the cigar room made a great recommendation and took us through the range and selections on offer educating us as we went along.
All in all a great evening.
B. S.
Great place good entertainment and a dedicated cigar smoking room
C. F.
This place has the best heated terrace in canary wharf for the winter. Good music and atmosphere and the staff are all very friendly. It can get very busy at times and the service at the bar can be very slow. It is a bit pricey but worth it. The food is amazing and definitely worth a try, especially if it is coupled with some live music.
C. K.
Lovely venue very vibrant , but no draught beer due to refrigeration going down . Also ran out of bottled beer early , needs addressing !!!
M. B.
Excellent place for a live show!!! I went with a friend last week, they have a superb band playing the 60's music. We really enjoyed it. The food was tasty and wine of good quality. You can't ask for more. The price was as expected. It is not cheap neither expensive. Ohh and they take care of vegans as well. Not a huge selection but OK. We will come back for sure!!!
A. H.
Great night to indulge.. But bring your credit card... or you might not have much whiskey to go with your water!!
D. D.
What a truly fantastic night out.! First class from start to finish.! Perfect venue with great ambience, and superb service all round. Went on the Ray Charles appreciation night and wasn't disappointed. Food was superb, Scottish salmon starter was fresh and a good size, 12oz steak was cooked to perfection (no exaggeration) and the cheese board dessert was the perfect complement. Music was superb and the selection of cocktails and whisky is nearly unmatched. I say whisky as there happens to be a cigar terrace and whisky lounge on the first floor which I will experience at a later date. One of the best nights I've experienced, well done the Boisdale team.!
A. H. (.
Mi-Soul radio's soulfull Sundays. Great music, great DJ"s and good food. Recommended. Thoroughly enjoyed my Sunday Evening
J. D.
simply sublime........Sunday Jazz Lunch
it was worth upgrading to v;i.p. seating as we were placed right next to the stage. the Jazz trio were excellent, not too loud, and playing a great selection of jazz classics. Service was really good, prompt, attentive but not overbearing or pushy, Alberto the wine sommelier was very nice as were all the staff. Food was lovely.-excellent menu-beautifully cooked, appetising to the eye and served by well trained waiter and waitresses discreetly and without fuss.Well done!
the whole venue is smoothly run, (love the decor !) it oozes a welcoming atmosphere throughout the restaurant for customers to relax and enjoy the best of music and food .
P. E.
Sunday Brunch, with Jazz, we had refillable wine option and that was good value, Food was good particularly the Haggis starter
A. A.
Fantastic experience from dinner right now to the music...danced so much I need to tonne of ibuprofen to help my creaky knees!! Will be back!!!
M. C.
Excellent food and excellent service! Live jazz music was good too
S. M.
Amazing night at this seriously cool venue. Food was excellent as was the service. The Amy Winehouse experience was incredible.
T. A.
Service was a little slow but food was great and prices were reasonable. The view from the upper floors were amazing!
C. L.
Great place . Love it here. Dancing the night away
G. T.
This restaurant was amazing!! This service was incredible!!
A. B.
We went for dinner here last night and were greatly impressed. A superb selection of both spirits and wines. Our food was beautifully presented and incredibly well cooked. Haggis featured as both a starter and a main. The selection of steak options was great and the sirloin on the bone was cooked to medium rare perfection. The desert and cheese selection looked great, however another glass and a cigar on the terrace won out. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to you.
L. F.
Surprisingly great atmosphere! Would definitely come back for Friday drinks
J. H.
The World's Best Whisky Bar, exquisite fine dining, and quite possibly the best and most intimate music venue anywhere...
D. P.
The restaurant and waiting staff were very good but I was really looking forward to my steak. I asked for a medium steak and it was not cooked properly. The ends were dry and the inside was very rare. It is a same as the taste of the steak is very nice but I cannot eat raw meat. I will go again and will ask for it to be well done. Should have sent it back but was out with a friend and did not want to make a fuss. The starter we had was lovely.
R. D.
Fantastic venue and the management and staff are a credit to this fantastic place. They helped make a special night a night to remember for the rest of our lives. Thank you so much from the both of us and an even special thank you to Flo Collective for accommodating our music requests. Incredible band that were fantastic.
Donata was the first person I interacted with who was amazing in putting everything together.
For a regular patron of the bar on level 1, for my first visit to level two, I have been wowed.
B. M.
They have a full whisky bar and a lounge with access to a decent selection of cigars. We enjoyed some drams and a nice meal. Great experience but make sure you check their hours for meal service.
S. N.
Wonderful restaurant with a huge selection of whisky, an outdoor smoking terrace by the bar and live jazz music on week days. The menu is extensive and food is fantastic. Highly recommend the stakes, absolutely delicious.
A. V.
I cannot be more happy for choosing Boisdale of Canary Wharf for my husband's birthday. I booked the table long in advance just to be sure we have a table and everything was more than we expected. The staff was amazing and so helpful, the food was exceptional and the evening was perfect. After dinner we moved to the terrace to enjoy a drink and a cigar and again, the staff made all this possible. I would always recommend the place, me and my husband are still talking about the amazing evening we had there( the birthday dinner was in November 2017 :D).
C. E.
Love going to this place. Cost friendly, delicious food, nice atmosphere. The cigar sommelier Philip is always very friendly and helpful. Usually quite crowded after work in the evening. Check their website for gastro tastings as well as cigar events. They also have live jazz.
D. S.
For my boyfriend's bday, I booked the "special offer tickets" (£39.90 in this instance) for three course meal with a glass of proseco and live music. I couldn't have made a better choice. The food was amazing, the staff was very friendly and attentive, the atmosphere just great for a nice, a bit more sophisticated night out. We ended up buying a bottle of wine which added some extra cost. But there is variety of option for anyone. Also, although we had the "special offer" tickets, we were sitted in a perfect location and could see the stage perfectly. In my opinion the whole layout of the restaurant is complementary for any table. I will definitely go back and I would highly recommend to anyone to treat themselves and enjoy a nice evening at Boisdale.
V. V. W.
A very spacious place with the view of the walkie talkie building. More baby friendly than we thought. Children's menu available. Would go back to attend their jazz nights. Without the children :) immaculate service, food is good but expensive. Perfect for a date night, business meals.
H. I.
Good food and atmosphere in a lovely setting. Service was friendly and non intrusive
H. B.
Eat here quite often, food great , super service. Thanks to all the staff and Martin who looks after us on the terrace.
M. P.
It's a nice place, good atmosphere and music. Food is good but won't change your life or anything. Customer service needs improvement - waiting half an hour and having to flag someone down twice just to order drinks is bad. Place wasn't even especially busy but still seemed understaffed.
Also, I called ahead of time to ask if smart shorts would be ok due to the hot weather but was told no. Not a problem except when we got there, other customers were in shorts! Please apply your dress code consistently.
Not writing the place off but these things need to be improved.
A. H.
Great dining experience. A bit hard to find 1st time but worth it ..Good atmosphere lovely vibe ..
D.
Good venue, live music and good food. Went for birthday, we wanted to visit the cigar lounge to relax after our meal. However, the cigar lounge shuts as early as the restaurant meaning that by the time we finished our meal, we literally had not long to visit the cigar lounge. It would be great if there were more time.
B. A.
Nice venue covers two floors and a terraced smoking area. The live music jazz and oldie music and good food. Scottish-seafoods, steaks, tartan, amazing views overcigars and alcohol completes the general impression of Boisdale. I was there one Monday no music and not crowded
J. D.
We are regulars at this place. Always a good busy vibe. Our first foray for the Sunday lunch jazz sessions, and good value.
L. M. A.
I always have a great time coming here. Food is mostly very good, different seating areas, clean and professional. Live music with dining ,too loud for me but really good, you can always done downstairs with the live music just coming through the speakers which is a nice volume. Outdoor area for cigars and drinks with outdoor heating, professional staff and with walk in humidor to choose your cigars if you like!
T. G.
Great place, usually very busy. Excellent for whiskey, cigars and has a jazz room.
L.
Good. But not perfect - why?
Drinks - they have an amazing selection but whisky is among the priciest in London. Whisky in the shard is cheaper...
Food - good and very well cooked, but portion size and price are in no relation.
The smoking terrace, cigar selection, and heaters make it a good stop on a night out!
L. S.
I've recently been to Boisdale, Canary Wharf, for a timeout cocktail promotion with my partner. There was a small mixup with the booking (they had me booked in for the previous night) but this was rearranged immediately without issue.
Waiting on our 2nd round of cocktails took a little longer, an apology was given along with some sparkling wine whilst we waited which was fantastic.
The entire night was really good fun (friday night), and the service from Roberto was absolutely fantastic, his friendliness and checking in with us that everything was good was simply great!! I will happily return for the friendly, fun and vibrant atmosphere!
C. P.
Great might out.. I went to celebrate a friends birthday and ended up celebrating several birthdays with a great crowd of very friendly people who know how to enjoy themselves.
Would have given 5 stars if there were more bar staff and more tills as the lack of both made getting served a long process.
Also the lifts from the car park - who designed that terrible crazy confusing method of getting up and down from the car park to Boisdales 😔
N. C.
The food was very good but was offset by very poor service. You have to finish eating before 21:30 otherwise you have to pay a cover charge for the jazz band, but after 90 minutes we'd still only had our starters. The management were very apologetic and waived the charge and even offered to waive the service charge which is why they still got 3*
M. “. F.
Lovely vibes, ambience, food and good service. Worth every penny. I will be back.
C. K.
I enjoyed myself here but the kitchen and wait staff couldn't handle the amount of people that had been booked and food was still coming out after 11pm when the show was almost finished. The food was cold and not very good. Its a good atmosphere but that's about it.
B. G.
Environment very good
Service good
Music good
Food... For what it's I think it's too expensive
F. A.
Had so much fun.
Lovely to see all my ex colleagues. London is the place to be.
A. H.
Best bar in Canary Wharf IMO. It looks good, feels good, has good music and has a balcony. There is a VIP area which is cheap to join and pretty much guarantees that you find a table outside in the balcony. The also a cigar room but I'm not into that.
P. B.
Nice standard with atmosphere. Ordered the deluxe burger with chunky chips. Asked for the nil pork with my burger but the kitchen didn't read the order and up a generous layer of bacon which I discovered after the first bite. Had to remove the layer. Apart from that the experience was good.
A. P.
Beautiful food and great music with friendly staff!
L. V.
Fabulous evening - I will be back. Ray Estaire/Mad Yella - such talent. Great atmosphere in such a lovely venue.
L. S.
The music was absolutely brilliant along with the ambiance and staff. However the food was not that wonderful. But overall a good place to go for excellent containment and cocktails
A. W.
Went there to celebrate husband's birthday and really enjoyed it. The service from hostesses to the waitress was absolutely great. Food was delicious, great choice of dishes and wines! Atmosphere very friendly and place is beautiful!
P. M.
Fab food and service and the band excellent 👌
A. S.
Fabulous! The food, drinks, atmosphere and service are all excellent. The jazz is wonderful and the staff are delightful. The prices are not 'criminal' - you get what you pay for. If you want somewhere elegant and stylish I thoroughly recommend it, if you want a cheap drink, probably best to go to a cheap pub.
S. B.
Super decor. Hot food. Fab staff. Great location. Loved everything about the experience.
S. H.
We went to "Boisdale" Carnary Wharf, for an event. Food was include.
Had the Lobster and paid the extra supplement.
The lobster was well worth the money and you sure got a lot for your money.
A large lobster, salad and chip. Wow!!!(I wish I took pictures)...
Check it out if you can. It was a bit far to drive.
But if you go after 6pm there is an evening rate of £7.00. If you spend over £10.00 in a restaurant or clothing shop. Remember to validate your ticket when your leaving and you will get an extra £3.00 off..
f. g.
Great place and show.
P. G.
We had a lovely dinner at Boisdale. There was an offer on and we got 2-4-1 on our meal and the service we received was impeccable - unlike at other places where the attitude changes once they find out you're a cheapskate with a voucher! We ordered oysters and a burger as well as some sides and everything was delicious, especially the roast field mushrooms. The décor in the bar was great, there are so many photographs on the walls that I found my eyes wandering off, much to the dismay of my dinner partner. Certainly not an everyday restaurant, but for a treat or if there's another offer it's definitely worth it.
S. H.
Great place for after work drinks. Friendly staff and extensive cocktail menu
D. G.
Love it the best food and live DJ excellent Caribbean night every Saturday
F. B.
As a regular to Boisdale Canary Wharf always with my family, we were very disappointed this Sunday. I had to flag down someone to serve us. It was a hot day so I asked if we could have our drinks straightaway to be told “I am not a robot madam” told that we would have to wait until the food order was inputed. The cheeseboard looked fabulous so I chose that only to be given 5 pieces of cheese of the waiters choice, I wasn’t even asked or shown the cheeseboard. For the prices I expected a good choice and service.
I think this will be our last visit to this restaurant, too frustrated to complain.
P.
God food and an even better atmosphere 😋
R. G.
Comfortable. Clean. Warm. Friendly. Decent menu. Superb wine list. Fantastic PA system. A fun loving grown up crowd. No drunk kids anywhere.
j. m.
Went there for my birthday and was really looking forward to the show. The show started late, the food was average and the service terrible. Our waitress was all over the place. The best thing about this venue is Alisha on reception. She had been extremely helpful with the booking and on our arrival gave us a warm welcome and a great table. Also unbeknownst to me had obviously spoken to the chef and organised a birthday treat. As we were about to leave after such a dismal experience, our waitress came over with a birthday surprise. Alisha is the only reason I have awarded Boisdale with 3 stars.
D. D.
Boisdale is clean, well run with helpful friendly staff and a great atmosphere.
Unfortunately, it was let down by the food on my visit. The steak was tough and gristley and was a disappointment for an expensive cut of meat.
D. S. t. B. P.
What a fab night and venue! I wasn’t sure at first as the size of the venue was bigger than I’d usually want in a Jazz club as I prefer the intamacy of other London clubs but the programming is spot on with a brilliant range of artists!
c. l.
We pre-booked a table at the Boisdale for Friday 1st March 2013. I found the food tasty, but quite expensive considering the type of food on offer. I was disappointed that to enter the jazz club as a couple we would have to spend £20 each for a table, again I find this very expensive especially after we had been to the restaurant I thought there would of been at least a concession on the entrance fee. The area for eating was quite small and cramped and I felt that the decor needed brightening up. I felt that the website was a little misleading as it gave the impression that you eat in the same room where the entertainment was.
G. W.
Surprised to find they'd opened up here; but the venue is nice enough, with views to be had. I don't recall it feeling especially Scottish - perhaps i'm wrong but it somehow felt Vegasy to me, though that may have been the faithful-sounding but soul-destroying Beatles tribute medley band that struck up before I could leave.
The waiting staff were good enough; the kitchen made some competent, if not hugely memorable nosh.
C. C.
Enjoyed a really good night there with friends, weren't too keen on the food.
M. R.
Was there for Sunday lunch and jazz. Good place! Food is good and tasty, excellent and fast service! Jazz performance was not bad at all but nothing special. Place itself is big and nice interior.
A. S.
Had a great experience at the ratpack night, staff were amazing
J. B.
Went with family for 50th birthday.... food was quite disappointing. We ordered the jerk platter 8 of us although quite filling the jerk pork was very fatty, lots of grissle, and quite tasteless. The jerk chicken had plenty of flavour (very nice) they also had red cabbage pickled slaw, it was packed with Coriander, if you're not a fan, then you'll have to leave it ( like most of us did) 3 naan wraps ( too much) and some butter dip. Waited some time for food to arrive (meat was being prepared on bbq out on terrace) wasn't served all at the same time, by the time the last 2 got their order, the others had finished.....
Was offered half price cocktails as good will gesture.
The entertainment was good ( saxon sound system) great atmosphere.
Would recommend but not sure if I'll order any food.
J. W.
Superb food, service and the wonderful Gabrielle singing made for a most enjoyable evening.
m. s.
Beautiful place with nice food, good music and excellent service. Thanks a lot for made our evening so special. Me and my friends are very happy with all evening here. Thanks to Roland, Felipe, Polish and Italian guys (i dont remember names- sorry).
really recommend this restaurant.
M. R.
Nice outdoor smoking area. Scotch Whisky selection was good. They obviously cater to a more exclusive crowd, with their VIP area and uppity cigar room staff. It's a good place to grab a smoke if you're in Canary Wharf - a little on the expensive side. I prefer JJ Fox if I can get downtown.
M. E. T. C.
Nice atmosphere and good service. Had a deal on Fever: 30£ for dine and live music on Tuesday. Portions are not too generous but food is ok. I wouldn't pay more but the location is really nice.
s.
The best place for whiskey in London and one of the best places to listen to live Jazz in London. The menu is varied so there is something for everyone and their own off events are second to none.
L. P.
A hidden gem in the heart of Canary Wharf. The food is consistently good and their 3 course £25 menu is also great value for the area. Top picks for me are the quail scotch eggs and truffle burger. A great option for a meal in Canary Wharf which is not a massive chain or a steakhouse that will bankrupt you!
D. K.
Always good. I was there with my son and they had their night jazz band/singer on from 8. I do find Boisdale expensive and then you have to pay a cover charge if you are there when the jazz starts. So good night but expensive.
D. J.
Have been a member here for several years and I have to say this really feels like a second home. The venue has an extensive cigar collection with two knowledgeable and friendly sommeliers, a great whiskey collection and an excellent quality of food. A real gem in the heart of Canary Wharf!
A. C.
A good food menu that once order comes really quickly with pages upon pages of wine to accompany your dish but the service is somewhat glacial. From being given the menus it was easily nearly 30mins before an order was taken.
M. Z.
Very warm ambiance and fantastic music
A. P.
Great music and extensive whiskey selection. The bar staff were also super friendly and great at mixing drinks. Also, thé haggis is really yummy.
J. G.
Love the atmosphere as well as the food.
A. M.
This is the place to go for a posh drink with a mate. It just has that feel of power, prestige, and yes, money. Yet despite all that, if you rock up in jeans and a backpack they don’t really mind (as long as you look decent – I’m not walking around in Lycra) which is refreshing, particularly for the Wharf.
Obviously, I love the bar, particularly given the level of care the bartender took in selecting the right bourbon then the exacting process to prepare my Old Fashioned.
The ground floor is dominated by the centre bar with a sprinkling of tables scattered around. Tucked away to the side is a cigar room. Yes, that’s right, an entire room devoted to cigars that includes a section with very comfortable leather armchairs where you can sit and puff away.
Upstairs there is a full restaurant with one of the largest bar displays you’ll ever see – and of particular interest to me was the massive whiskey selection. I haven't eaten here yet but will update when I eventually do.
L. P.
This was my 4th visit to the cigar lounge
which is, as always, fantastic.
Unlike my previous visits where the
very charming and very polite middle aged
male Portuguese member of staff running the lounge,
provided great customer service, the same could not be said of
the young female member of staff who was supervising the lounge
last night (Fri 19th Aug 16') Perhaps she had had a bad day as we felt more like an inconvenience to her than valued paying customers. I should have perhaps pulled her up on her attitude but preferred not to let her ruin my enjoyment of a rare treat....
C. W.
If you're a whisky lover, Boisdale's is the place to go to. One of the best selections of drinks in London, great atmosphere and fantastic service. The live jazz acts performing each night draw in the crowds. One of my favourite places
K. R.
Tasty cocktails and a lovely summer Terrace on the first level. Most of the evenings crazy busy with corporate people. Good restaurant upstairs with live music and even some dancing.
W. T.
Boisdale was a great surprise! Food was good (haggis of course) but the band was talented and transported me in the 60s like never before. Will go back.

'BOISDALE GOT VIBES' - JAMAICA 56TH INDEPENDENCE PARTY - WITH LIVE PAs FROM JAMAICAN REGGAE STAR "IBA MAHR" Plus AYSHA LOREN & TESHAY MAKEDA - HOSTED BY THE LEGENDARY SAXON SOUND SYSTEM
Amazing night. Had to wait 20 min for a table, once we got seated we was waited on. Food delicious and spiiiiiiiiiicy and table 2 is the best seat in the house. Atmosphere was lite and everyone was very friendly.
Nice and classy. Not sure what the dress code is but you can’t go wrong with shoes and heels. We will be back!
J. K.
Great atmosphere and great food.
L. H.
Fun atmosphere, food and entertainment. Always packed with different groups of business people, couples and families. Some really amazing acts here. Food and service always good.
J. A.
Great venue, great music but service left something to be desired..... Very casual and didn't get orders right, lengthy wait. All of the his counteracted by great music
R. J.
Excellent jazz Club and cigars bar. Good restaurant in a grateful location with view on Cabot Square. A place to spend the evening in good mood and a lively atmosphere.
N. O.
Live music is fantastic. Haven't eaten here and I've heard from others it is expensive for what you get. But as a place to have a nice whisky and enjoy a cigar on the terrace it is fantastic.
A. Y.
Great food, great music, and an amazing atmosphere overall. We even got to dance. Booking tickets for my next trip already.
D.
Great layout and nice food.
C. J.
Good food but service was disappointing. Walking in, I felt like had come to the wrong place and was served quite abruptly. Main courses were delicious however mediocre feedback with regards to the deserts. Location however is very convenient with a nice balcony.
a. m.
I Came here for a cigar and a scotch, you'd think with that in mind someone might provide some, if ANY service! It appears if you like cigars you should go elsewhere. There was no service, I had to track someone down just to get into the humidor, once I fired up a nice cuban I find I had to get all of my drinks myself.
I am not sure why such a nice looking place with such a selection of fine scotches treats guests like this, but I was disgusted.
My advice is that if you want service and a fine cigar go to "The Wellesley Knightsbridge" their prices are better and the atmosphere is immenseley more elegant.
-
Update.. learned that if you are in the humidor they cannot server you food or alcohol... :( I upgraded this from 1 star.
D. A.
I love Boisdale. This is a good place to go to if you are a Whiskey lover. They have more than thousands of whiskeys to select from. I also had dinner there and they got a nice sea food selection there. Definietly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a good meal and sip on som good whiskey,
R. K.
Great venue with great food helpful staff. Not cheap but a live jazz band

It is Clean & Posh. It has a huge drinks menu and there is an onsite shop selling tobacco & vast range of cigars. Bar staff are friendly and when not busy offer to drop off your drinks\snacks to your table. There is an outdoor area with fake grass, heating & shelter.

Amazing interior decour and a very comfortable and cosy vibe. Special shoutout to Chris, our waiter, who was the most cordial and considerate gentleman I have had the pleasure of being hosted by. Great venue and great service to make for a very delightful evening!
D. A.
The food was very nice, and the drink were decent also. However the service was almost none existent after we received our food. It was over an hour before we managed to get anyone's attention.

Only in London do you get a Scottish restaurant, with a cigar lounge, a jazz bar and serves English oysters!
Had a great time though I think the tartan carpet is what really makes it stand out as traditional Scottish! ha
A. O.
Great entertainment. Friendly staff.
C. B.
Business hub and nice atmosphere
M. P.
Lovely staff and great atmosphere on a very busy Sunday lunch with jazz.
D. L.
Excellent Scotch selection (ask for the "Whisky Bilble", their Scotch list menu), lovely highscale bar ambiance and table seating with exclusive boutique prices (high), compared to Milroys bar with limited seating who boasts over 1000 varieties.
P. H.
Lovely store. Amazing smell. Helpful staff. I loved the smoking lounge. This will be a regular stop for me when I'm in London.
R. B.
Brilliant show, loved the Barry White tribute.
A. W.
We had jazz brunch here. Good food and friendly service , lovely drinks as well. The jazz band was not all that exciting.
P. H.
Not many places with a cigar room left
S. H.
Food, service and ambience second to none. Loved it. Not so great were the complete inconsistencies in portion sizes. Cheese board very much depended on which waitress or waiter was serving you.....slightly dissappointing....
S.
Took my dad here for the Sunday Jazz lunch on Father's Day. Elegant ambiance, staff were amazing and the food was delicious too!
G. M.
Lovely atmosphere but unfortunately got charge twice for drinks that we never ordered. First time they deleted the drink, but once I've got home realised they added another one, not cool....
M. C.
Great selection of whisky, pricey? Well yes but it is London canary wharf!! Don't go if you are expecting a cheap pint. Do go if you want to do something different.
H. O.
Fantastic music , great food and amazing views
B. K.
Great place to have good food with a good wine selection. Service could be more responsive especially since the 12% service charge is included in every price.
F. G.
The restaurant in Belgravia it a London Icon. The steak are good the wine, whisky and cigar list exceptional. If you like haggis this is the place.
B. C.
Great selection of whiskies, but this is just a city boys club. Arrogant and snobby patrons with bar staff that seem to hate their jobs. I'd go somewhere cheaper if I wanted this service and company.
A. P.
Excellent place. Very good friendly and attentive service. Very good menu and wine list. Good ambience. A favourite.
J. R.
Staff are excellent. Food really nice. And the British Collective are absolutely on 🔥🔥🔥
J. M.
Lovely venue, shame about the toilet 🚻 facilities that let the venue down, especially during these times!
B. R.
Amazing place with live music. The food was great. Pity they ran out of burgers as I had heard a lot about them and really wanted to try.
A. K.
Saturday night at Boosdale is amazing! Great atmosphere, lethal rum punch & the Saxon DJs just round off a perfect night out!
W. L.
No other place like it.......go there, grab a cocktail, down some oysters then head upstairs......let the jazz band entertain you whilst eating some serious food. Get a seat by the window for excellent views of central Canary Wharf area.
J. F.
In my humble opinion, Boisdale is one of the best places to see live music in London and Canary Wharf is its crown jewel.
If the Jazz and fantastic selections of whiskys wasn't enough, it also has one of the best selections of cigars i've come across and the food ain't half bad either!
Boisdales is one of those places I have to be careful with my wallet in because if you see a live show, get a meal with wine, a good steak, a cigar and a few whiskys you're probably looking at £80+ per head. That being said in life you get what you pay for and in such a fantastic venue and location in London, that ain't half bad.
J. L.
Went here for a cigar with a friend. They have their own somking room in the building or you can smoke on the heated terrace. Really good choice of whisky and rum.
D. C.
A great menu, great atmosphere and very attentive service. A little slow bringing the bill but a massive Christmas party had just arrived so I'm letting them off!
A. E.

Great head waiter made my night a pity about some unnecessary mis info by so called DJ.
E. S.
Good evening nice in London venue and Restaurant
J.
Great fun with the live music and good food. We have visited twice and the bill was incorrect (overcharged) on both occasions, so loses a star due to this.
A. H.
We had a private dining table and were treated brilliantly. Food was excellent and all (20+) really enjoyed the food and the live music.
Z. V.
Nice place to go when you're stuck in Canary Wharf. Steak and burger options are nice, good sides. Sitting out on the terrace is a great way to wind down.

Lovely venue beautiful atmosphere. Staff very attentive. Food was great too. Deffo reccomend.
P. C.
They have really really good cover band performances! It's just amazing! A cozy atmosphere with just amazing music.
C. C.
The decoration is a bit odd but the selection of whiskies is one of the largest in town, if not the largest. Come there and discover rarities like 1970's Port Ellen bottles.
J. K.
Great venue. Chef rather not good
D. B.
Nice place, music mehh.....
J. R.
Superb food and classy service. One star deducted for having several Mao portraits (???) on the wall - ridiculous and tasteless choice.
R. P.
If you like live music, warm, fun and attentive service, combined with a selection of over 900 whiskies, you'll struggle to find better than Boisdale.
K. G.
Fantasticfood, excellent service but very expensive water

Good atmosphere, but the food was salty, baked potatoes was like left over and then heated up again, dried chicken.
L. H.

The music and food was great! The only problem is the service - we felt a bit neglected by the waiters.
S. G.
Great cigars and service was a little slow but was really busy so must be testimony to being really popular.
