Went there because it was on the meerkat website. The lady said they are not doing the promotion. Either way the prices are reasonable even without discount. Ordered the platter and fried plantain. Even though everything is precooked and reheated, I chose to reheat it at home to enjoy it. The curried goat had many bones but it is what made it tasty. The right amount of spice. The jerk chicken wings had a barbecue taste to them, very very good. The coleslaw was very nice, how I would make it at home. Overall I would go back and support local businesses. The food is very addictive and filling.

Great food! Great Portions. Lamb soup... had nice size spinners, chunks of meat (everyone always wants more meat) but good flavours! Dumpling wasn't greasy at all, just thick and fluffy. When I ordered the jerk wings, they had run out so got bbq wings smothered in jerk sauce with an extra 2 thrown in so not complaining :) and mac n cheese is chucky and cheesy but not tooo much. Just right!

The quality of the food is of such a standard that the flavours of the Caribbean have come to life in London where it is very difficult to find good Caribbean cuisine. Decided to walk in for a taste of home and I was not disappointed. The staff was beyond courteous and really made me feel welcome. The food was fantastic and had a truly authentic flavour. I would definitely recommend this eatery to anyone who enjoys Caribbean food or just wants to taste something out of their ordinary routine. The portion size was plentiful for the price and they even threw in a complementary soup of the day. Fantastic!

Well... To start off the food quality is good and I’ve been getting my food from here for quite sometime now and to be honest. It’s the 1st time I’ve tried Caribbean food and now can’t stop having the curry goat with rice and beans served and well prepared by the owner Nicole. The food quality is finger licking good and the service provided by her will never disappoint you. I’ve tried the jerk chicken as well a couple of times but curry goat from here being my all time favourite, I just couldn’t ask for more. The food is freshly prepared day to day so one will not be disappointed. It’s sad to see how some people have left a negative review which I would never go with. I would suggest to get a feel from the owner herself by visiting this place and I’m sure one will not be disappointed. Kudos and keep it going Nicole.

I have eaten from numerous Caribbean restaurants over the many, many years and most have failed miserably due to poor food quality, lack of taste not to forget a dreadful service. But all hail the Queen who runs 'Brown Sugar and Spice' on Forest Road as her culinary skills put ALL who came before her by the wayside. The love she injects into her food needs to be experienced as the flavours will have you coming back for more and more! This is authentic Jamaican cuisine to a high standard. Although there are a number of Caribbean restaurants locally, I have tasted them all and NONE of them offer the flavours, the competitive prices along with the wonderful customer service (they call me by my name when I enter!) and the injection of love she gives with every meal. The staff are all so nice and genuinely friendly. You got to go there and feel the love! It has taken me many years but finally I have found a Caribbean restaurant that is a cut above the rest. Brown Sugar offers something that others NEED to follow. This young Queen also feeds the homeless which is what she was doing today in her restaurant. An exceptional Lady, an exceptional restaurant.

Having been here a few times in the last 2 months, I can honestly say its wonderful. I've only tried the patties and found them to be the best I have had (apart from my partners mums ones :-) ) I can highly recommend the saltfish and ackee patties. My daughter and Partner really like them also. Great flavour, Great size, Great price. Looking forward to trying a dinner here one day. Staff lovely and friendly.

(Translated) I highly recommend this place. You enter and you are immediately inundated by the scent of chocolate. Inside you can find chocolate nuggets of all flavors. You are spoiled for choice. I tried some chocolates that had a mini pipette with a liquid to be pressed into the chocolate and then tasted. Very good. I also recommend to try the chocolate which although it is the classic liquid English one, is covered on top with chocolate chips that you prefer. If you pass through shoreditch, drop by. (Original) Consiglio molto questo posto. Si entra e si viene inondati subito dal profumo di cioccolato. Dentro si possono trovare pepite di cioccolato di ogni sapore. Si ha proprio l'imbarazzo della scelta. Ho provato dei cioccolatini che avevano una mini pipetta con un liquido da premere dentro al cioccolatino e poi gustare. Buonissimo. Consiglio inoltre di provare anche la cioccolata che sebbene sia quella classica inglese liquida , sopra viene ricoperta di scaglie del cioccolato che si preferisce. Se passate per shoreditch fateci un salto.
