Reviews of Chai Ki
Another fantastic meal at Chai Ki. Been here a few times now and it has never been less than a 10/10.
Every dish was well presented and tasted even better. Paprika podi fries were stunning as was the lamb curry dish. Also, they had the best calamari dish I have ever had. Cannot wait to go again!
Most of our food including starters arrived cold. My drink had a passionfruit with the stickers still attached which is a very unhygienic. Service was slow although most staff were friendly. Flavours were good but if the food came at a better temperature would have enjoyed it more. Overall 3/5 plenty of room for improvement!
Stopped off for dinner here on 04/06. The food was absolutely amazing! The restaurant was nice and had lovely decor. The prices are expected at a restaurant in canary wharf but the food was definitely worth it. I will definitely be returning!
This restaurant has a nice ambiance and is quiet (no screaming kids) which is awesome.
The food is tasty, though I’d prefer larger portions. The chai tea was a bit sweet for me, but otherwise quite delicious.
Definitely worth a try.
By far the best Indian restaurants in that area! And probably one of the best in London. Very fresh ingredients, super tasty food.
My personal favorites are chicken biryani(portion is enormous), Himalayan ribs and Koliwada Calamari(very fresh and tasty), though everything else that I’ve tried there was very tasty as well.
Also, surprisingly, cocktails are also good and there is a nice selection of non-alcoholic cocktails as well. No mango lassi unfortunately…
Place is often packed, so booking is highly recommended.
As far as fusion modern Indian goes, the food here is great! I have been going to Chai ki for almost over 4 years - as a regular, I still continue to enjoy the food and service. The burnt chilli chicken is a must try - this is a typical Indonesian Indian (aka “indo-Indian”) style dish.
Good food but really poor value for money.
£72 for lunch for two. £4.20 for coconut water that I saw poured from a supermarket carton sums it up. Service was good, food was really good quality. Although, as a bit of a heat wimp but someone who loves curry and spice, I was disappointed that the butter chicken was pretty spicy.
Pretty authentic and absolutely delicious 🤤
I really loved the ambience, it’s busy but less crowded. Reach around 1800 for a calming and relaxed evening.
MUST TRY: Dahi Puri
Their chicken tikka is appropriately spiced and cooked. I love their quantity and the prices are reasonable as well. ONE TIME VISIT FOR SURE 🤗
The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice. It was busy on a Tuesday night and tables were full. The staff are friendly but it was hard to get their attention.
They have a good cocktail list including several non alcoholic ones which was nice.
The food is good but could have been hotter when served. Portion sizes are not bad. Unfortunately, the naan was overcooked and burnt which was disappointing.
A place to go for a casual dinner with friends or colleagues.
Thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Service was good and fast. Friendly atmosphere. Food was great except for the chicken biryani...
