Reviews of City Social

Visited on 27/01/22. Service was a little slow but we weren't in any rush. The staff were friendly, there was one guy in particular that was soooo lovely and accommodating but unfortunately I didn't get his name. Food was absolutely fantastic, probably one of the best meals I've ever had. Views were incredible. They even brought out a complimentary dessert for my partners birthday. Would definitely return!!

Came here for cocktails with friends. It would be worth it just for the incredible view on London (has nothing to envy to the Shard, you can literally see most of the city) but the cocktails are honestly some of the best you can find in the Big Smoke. The bar food was also exceptionally good (for being bar grubs), haven't been to their restaurant but I'm sure that's excellent too. Service is also on point and very attentive. Booking recommended.

Awesome food, awesome service, awesome views.
Very personable staff, I didn’t feel out of place or in a stuff environment at all and was made to feel at home the second we arrived.
Props to the kitchen team for producing such quality yet hearty British fare. It’s rare to leave a place like this with a full stomach. They even sent us a complimentary dessert as we was celebrating our anniversary.
Special mention for the tart tatin which was excellent.

Visited City Social for a Saturday night dinner and was very impressed by the food, service and location. We went for the shared cote de boeuf for our main and it was fantastic - beautifully charred outside and a tender, pink interior. Our crab starter was also great and the tonka bean souffle for dessert was tremendous.
The venue itself is great, particularly sitting by the windows in the cocktail bar area and admiring the fantastic views. Would love to come here again and try some of the other menu items and hopefully will get the chance to do so.

Really great experience.
Nice London view at night.
Staff frendly and attentive.
The vegetarian options are really good, everything cooked with care and valuing all the ingredients of the dishes. After all, it is the minimum expected from a Michelin restaurant.
Deserts plant based as well and vegeterian. Nice all the care for the vegeterian and vegan options.

A restaurant with a view and a statement location. It's about the view and ambiance for me here. A setting that overlooks the city of London, lighting that focuses on your party, cocktails and a clientele who are dressed for an occasion. The tasting menu is accessible, has a michelin star and the chefs are really on point when it comes to cooking skills. What impresses me is the kitchen must have a high level of consistency given the number of tables they have to serve. It possibly explains why the tasting menu is 4 courses, where I wish the tasting menu had more of an opporunitiy to show off what the chefs can do. The wine list is impressive and the sommelier was a joy to speak with. Staff wise, like most places they're a little short handed which left us waiting on a post dinner drink, but when able they really go the extra mile. Very grateful for a tour around the kitchen and how they make a table feel at ease. It's a lovely restaurant and imagine the private dinning here over the night lights of the City is magical. Probably one of the most accessible stars I've eaten at though left wanting to see a little more (and suspect the potential is there). It is a very popular place for a memorable, romantic evening.

Perfect from start (lady at the metal detector on ground floor very friendly and funny) to finish. Food perfect! drink perfect! views perfect! If you like cocktails I would highly recommend the Charlie Chaplin
A. G.
What a fantastic experience. Everyone we met was so nice and friendly! Thank you for a wonderful night. Feel terrible, but there was one member of staff who was fantastic and even told us the history behind the apple tarte tatin. Loved it!
A. M.
The view from the restaurant is spectacular. The food amazing. A very pleasant ambience. I’ve spent 2 amazing hours there for my birthday.
A. T. B.
My partner gifted me this experience before Christmas. They excel in all aspects, from start to finish: location, atmosphere, service, food. Every plate was carefully designed and presented by the staff. Good wine pairing recommendation by the sommelier. Deserving of the Michelin star!

Went to social 24 the bar inside city social restaurant. Has some of the best rooftop views in London. With delicious cocktails in classy surroundings. Perfect for a romantic date. Added to my list of favourite London bars on my blog 'Gone Sun Where'
D. K.
This was amazing night because I propose to my girlfriend the food the staff everything was amazing we had a nice beautiful table with amazing view.Thank you so much guys to make this evening special for us.

Dope spot. Got me in without reservations. Food is terrific and the ambiance and view alone makes this place worth the trouble.
Bartender was very hospitable.
P. A.
The food was delicious, our starters and deserts were really refined and tasted amazing. We took the côte de bœuf which is more traditional but equally delicious. Even the sides were so good. All the staff was polite, friendly and really made us feel welcome.Perfect experience from start to finish
C. P.
Well when you have views like this it’s hard not to love it. The floor to ceiling windows are stunning and the venue was classy and clean. Great spirits menu is extensive and the staff are happy to recommend new and interesting spirits from around the world. It was quiet on a Wednesday afternoon but started filling up as we left. Well worth booking yourself in for a drink. You won’t regret it!
G. C.
Overall superb experience. No wonder it is Michein-starred. All staffs were polite and friendly, specially the girl from Portugal who served me was extra impressive. Accurate and precise lighting makes you clearly see the food and each other while keeping the room dark to enjoy the view of central London. I was reserved to an inner table, but they were so kind and managed to move me to a window table for dessert.
Only thing that can be a bit annoying is people keep standing up for photos and sometimes flash lights. Definitely cannot blame anyone for such a view; but I wonder if it can be better to leave a space for it maybe?
P. G.
Nice view over London and very good service.
I would have given 5 stars if the wine was not so ridiculously expensive.
I'm French and I know how much French, Spanish and Italian wines are worth.
Please make an effort to sell them at a correct price.
D.
Food is excellent, well deserving of a Michelin star. The starters for Sunday lunch were especially delicious. We ordered the chorizo and the lobster salad starter.
Our experience was tainted by the waiters of the table beside ours. That table had an asian couple who were excited and taking a bit too many pictures of the view and their food. I saw their waiter watching them and then turning back to his waiter friends to make fun of the guests’ behaviour.
This left a very bad taste in my mouth. Making fun of diners behind their back is never okay. It’s very unprofessional and is something the waiter should have kept to himself.
T. H.
We took one of directors out for her birthday lunch and the team from City Social never fails to amaze us their impeccable service and of course the most delicious food!
Many thanks to the team and chef for making this day a memorable on for us.
Y. I.
An experience which meets the expectations for a Michelin-star restaurant
You have the option to go for the tasting menu or a la carte, which was the one we chose.
The starters, ceviche and scallops, were small, delicious and well prepared.
The main, short rib and fillet steak. Although I'd always advice to not go for the steak in such a restaurant as you'll experience more of the chef's talent in another dish (in this case the short rib) both dishes were of top quality.
The desserts (attached the Tonka bean soufflé) were both chocolate based. Also delicious, but we simply ate too much overall that we found it difficult to appreciate them. Sharing a dessert can be a wise option if you go for more filling main dishes.
Bottom line: well prepared, delicious dishes in a great venue. The options could be more surprising in terms of taste and composition but the view and the wine list are both already 2 reasons to eat there.
W.
Everything was really delicious - surprisingly so even though the menu seems more classic, it definitely was quite an explosion of flavours and ingredients. Had the lobster salad, beef tartare, turbot, seabass and the strawberry dessert which was perfect. food envy looking at the beef rib on the table next to us too! Only neg was the aircon was broken so was boiling
M. S.
fantastic view - the only thing to go here for.
super friendly service but not really on top of things despite restaurant only half full.
crab salad starter was super nice but seafood linguine in bisque took ages and arrived cold and was therefore also untangleable (bisque had evapourated). they also forgot to bring an ordered drink
A. Y.
The Cote de Bouef was perfectly cooked, the wine was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. The service was really attentive without being intrusive and their personality was amazing. A really wonderful evening.
A. S.
Views, staff & wine were spectacular. I got the seafood pasta and it was quite dry so was not worth the price.
u.
Terrific views, very cool interior, excellent service(!), and great food. Food presentation might be a little over the top. Prices were robust, but not quite as bad as I'd expected.
S. B.
Lunched midweek. Excellent food and service plus the view. Table by the window. Best steak and chips I've had in a long time. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.
J. L.
Really great place for food with a view of London. The cocktails are fun and a good date night location. The food is exceptional but you must book in advance.
m. s.
Perfect from begin (woman at the metal detector on floor ground very friendly and humorous) to complete. Food perfect! Drink perfect! Views best! If you want cocktails I could noticeably endorse the Charlie Chaplin
T. n. g.
brilliant!! really good service, food and drinks are beyond great and the view is amazing.
A. M.
A Michelin experience with both sumptuous eats and a killer view. Notable stars from our meal were the hamachi starter and banana souffle dessert. Note, they have a josper oven and do some nice steaks, served with proper stake knives. Service is exceptional and an example of being a cut above.
Edit: The sommelier at this place was accurate, and the wine delivered on all specified requirements.
l. c.
Great views, fantastic service, tasty cocktails, wonderful ambiance and wonderful toilets... Came back for a second trip to enjoy the food this time and all I can say is I wish I could give it more stars. The food was beyond amazing. The service we received was fantastic. The wait staff were lovely kind chatty and funny. Very welcoming. I will continue to keep coming back
N. G.
Fantastic!
Very nice city view. With good quality and delicious foods.
Attentive to allergies and dietary requirements.
Well trained and professional staffs.
We spent our X’mas eve here with family and friends. We did have a good time! :)
A private room is available upon a minimum spend.
A. B.
City Social... just wow! Incredible plates of food, served in this beautifully styled, dark interior. Full of little flavour bombs... this is impeccable cookery. As good as it gets. Fabulous ambience and service also, at this Michelin-starred restaurant on level 24 of T42.
G.
Good vibe, good selection of cocktail, delicious food (some people said it is salty but I think they are just great ) and cute complimentary birthday cake, attentive and nice staff, but I do enjoy the food ! fast service worth return for sure :)
C. O.
Modern restaurant with excellent views. We were led to the bar for drinks and aperitifs while our table was setup. Staff are extremely attentive. Food was excellent. Haute cuisine with delicately balanced dishes. While there were limited to no vegetarian dishes on the menu the waiter was quick to offer an off menu alternative which was better than many I've had in more dedicated restaurants. There's an extensive Wine menu with knowledgeable waiting staff happy to advise on pairings. The price while not astronomical is in line with similar high profile London restaurants.
Good for a fancy date or business lunch/dinner.
M. D.
Attended City Social for a wedding. Private room on 24th floor. Staff worked really hard for all guests, making it a memorable occasion. Food was great, with good presentation. Restaurant has great views over London.
S. D.
Such a lovely place. High class service. Food was to die for, fresh , tasty and well presented. The views are obviously why we booked the place in a first place . Tried every single signature cocktail they had and to be honest I loved all off them. 5 star place with affordable prices . And of course ladies room has beautiful flower wall to take stunning photos for the insta.
M. P.
Ambience, decor, view and service was absolutely fantastic.
However the food was only alright, better than average, but didn't feel like Michelin standards.
P. v. d. B.
Very good food. Flavours, cuisson, plating, combinations. Very well done, deserved 1 star Michelin. Staff good too, sometimes bit too quick and very well trained to keep rotation up. Pricing very good for quality served. Not to forget a nice view as well ...
h. 2.
The food was the best I've ever tasted and the service was so good, waiter was very friendly and helpful. They made whatever cocktail you wish and alcoholic or not, you choose. And the views were insane. Thanks to everyone there.
R. J.
Restaurant and Bar both amazing. Can't wait to visit again.
Drinks reasonably priced considering the venue and location which is refreshing. Food and service was fantastic.
Its better to avoid run of the mill places which normally disappoint and invest in an night out here and get quality.
K. N.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this exclusive bar with a view.
Located in one of the City of London's skyscrapers, Tower 42, City Social is a sophisticated and stylish bar with impressive views. The best tables in the house are by the windows where you can admire the twinkling lights of London which stretches before you.
As soon as you walk in, you're warmly greeted by reception who provides a personable service. You feel instantly that they take great care in looking after their guests.
On a Thursday evening, the atmosphere was buzzing with many guests in suits who works mainly around the area, but honestly that won't bother you too much because the low-light setting allows everyone to melt away.
The drinks are extensive as should be for a bar of this quality and table service is offered so there won't be any need for scrummaging at the bar.
Due to the low-lit setting, City Social is also intimate and that's why I reckon this is perfect for a date and business meetings. An impressive establishment that won't let you down if you're looking to impress.
J. S.
Was a wonderful evening and experience. Spectacular views of the city, great interior ambience...and the food was amazing! A very slight minor was that the service assistant was not already aware of our pre-advised dietary requirements, but this was rectified and accommodated for with no issue. Would love to come again. Thank you for a top notch evening!
B. B.
Lovely views, good drinks, creative and tasty food. Only grief I have is that service is far too rapid for a restaurant of this standard. It feels like that they want everything to be over as soon as possible.
A. S.
Great food, great views & great service. BOOK IT!
V. N.
We came here during London Cocktail week (month).
The cocktails were brilliant, the service as well, and we also had a burger and a shrimp roll. Both tasted amazing too!
Beautiful views all around London as well.
R. “. W.
Fabulous dessert 😋 & the rib eye steak I had was lovely & tender, however it was under cooked..😟
M. B.
Booked for the 5 dish tasting course. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the security and the cloakroom staff. Proceeded to head up to the 24th floor. Greeted by the waiter and was seated without any wait.
Every table has such an amazing view. It is pretty much breathtaking. There are a row of booths closer to the windows and a row of tables on a raised platform. Having the table you still get the same experience as you would having a booth.
When it came to the food, every bite had a story to tell. It's almost like a delicate and balanced dance of flavour and texture. Not too overpowering, but yet reassuring.
I had the orzo dish with white truffle foam as one of my courses. IT WAS STUNNING! My only concern is that this dish is not on the regular menu!
We had a brief chat with the sommelier, recommend a great glass of pinot noir.
The cocktail was delicious and left us gobsmacked with the art on top of it.
After we settled up, I spoke with the waiter if the orzo dish was on the menu or not, unfortunately no, but the waiter did introduce us to Tom who is the executive chef and the genius behind the dish.
11/10, looking forwards to going back again!
M. T.
Absolutely amazing. From enjoyable staff, to great drinks and food, to never being crowded, and to reasonable prices for such a place.
D. S.
Absolutely wonderful dinner date at this restaurant! Only think that let me down was the main I had. I had the duck breast but unfortunately the duck wasn't rendered down, so I was constantly chewing the the meat. But otherwise absolutely amazing service - November 2019
A. S.
Amazing food, beautiful view, impeccable service!!!! Great experiance, good selection of wine and quality products. Great time !! Duck was deliciouse and the halibut was AMAZING. Apple tart is a must!!! But the scallops for starter was my favourite, many different great flavours. Great presentation throughout!!!! Absolutely loved it.
E. F.
Amazing bar and restaurant with the best views across London. Mattia, Sergio and Simone offer brilliant service at the bar and make the best cocktails.
A. W.
This was a birthday dinner organised by my partner. I can say it was one of the best meals/ experiences I have had dining out. Everything from service, views, decor to the food and drinks was an absolute dream and made my birthday a very special one. I would like to take the time to thank John who made the whole evening and absolute delight. His dedication to his job shows and we both really appreciated his care and attention to detail durning the visit.
A. R.
Excellent views of the city, great wines and equally good food. Very attentive service.
Was difficult to find the place as they have changed name to City Social, had to go around the block a few times looking for Rhodes.
W. L.
Amazing food and view! We booked the bar instead of the restaurant for our anniversary dinner and luckily they weren’t too busy on the day and could arrange a table for us ar the restaurant. Staff was friendly and non-pushy, explained each of the dishes very well. From starter to dessert, their food was very good! The prices are quite reasonable amongst all other michelin restaurants. Can’t believe they are just a one star micheline restaurant, worth two stars! (Feel like Bibendum should give away one of their stars to them.)
K. M. (. t. G.
We booked the Chef’s tables for an engagement after-party, and it was brilliant!
Firstly, my biggest concern - the view - exceeded my expectations from the 3D map. We had a beautiful sunset, St. Pauls and the rest of the north of the river. The night London was no less spectacular. The Shard was ready for our photos in the main hall. The view of the kitchen was a nice touch but really only entertained the guests before sitting down.
The window to the kitchen was also extremely useful to pass our appreciation directly to the chefs (big thumbs up) for a gorgeous, tasty and surprisingly filling meal.
The wine selection is truly impressive, and the “welcome offer” with Don Perignon is definitely worth it.
The ambience of the private dining is fantastic, and also worth it as it gets rather loud in the main hall. The setting is made with a good taste, and the entire restaurant is stylish indeed.
The service is at the highest standard, but with a good cheer, maintaining a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The service actually started long before the dinner with two very responsive and helpful ladies who handled everything - thank you, Nish and Abigail.
Finally, the price tag is not through the roof, especially compared to other fine dining establishments in London, which often render tasteless. The wine of course was loaded, but again this city has seen worse.
Much recommended for a special occasion!
R.
Been to many fine dining restaurants and this very good. Service was superb and so was food. The scallops as starter and halibut as main were excellent. The chocolate dessert was heavenly. Atmosphere great.
B. G.
City Social went above and beyond to make my husband's birthday a memorable one. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful and the atmosphere is fancy yet somewhere you can feel comfortable. The view is obviously unbeatable.
T. S.
Stunning setting on the 24th floor. Attentive and accommodative, the team ensured we had everything we needed, including beautiful gluten free bread and sumptuously flavourful Home made butter. Both starter and main were fabulous. Though we didn’t have desert in the restaurant, the slice of cake they gifted us for my birthday was spectacular. The lighting is very sophisticated and romantic, the music subtle but adding to a very enjoyable ambience. Lastly, the cocktail menu is interesting and not too expensive. Craft cocktails for around £13.
s. f.
Great views out of tower 42. And a lovely dinning experience in the private dining room which also allows you to see the chefs at work. The food service and wine all top notch. This isn’t Jason athertons best restaurant though!
J. S.
One of the best meals my girlfriend and I have had in a long time! Food was delicious and incredibly presented. Service was also absolutely amazing. Would definitely recommend to friends and family. 10/10
E.
Excellent restaurant from the social group, specialised in fish at the Tower 42. We had the set menu which was a very good deal, but still dinner for two with a bottle of wine was not cheap. Service and food was great and the view is amazing, so I think it would be good place for special occasions.
C. C.
Gorgeous view, good service & beautiful food. It's a place to impress, certainly. I'm a fan of the Social Club & have been wanting to come here for awhile. The verdict is that I'll go back to the Social Club for food & here for drinks. Unless I'm on business :-)
E. B.
Amazing luxury restaurant with lovely views.
A.
Absolutely enjoyed the food and service here.
A. C. C.
Wonderful views, super tasty food, impeccable service. I wish we could have gotten a table by a window, but still it was a memorable experience.
C. H.
Really great service and unique cocktails. I had a great time here, the service was very professional. My one compliant is the seafood ravioli - only 5 pieces in a large main!
F.
You take the side lift to the 24th floor and then... WOW!
What can I say apart from WOW! The view is INCREDIBLE! Very few places give a view of London like this. You can walk around and see so many iconic London landmarks including the Gherkin.
The service in the place is also fantastic and very good good by Michellin starred Jason Atherton. Definitely a premium place with premium food and exceptional service. Highly recommend it.
L. R.
Nice Michelin starred restaurant owned by Jason Atherton in the heart of the city, with glorious views. Food is well curated, with solid options and very few drawbacks. However, the real wow-effect is in the views. Still a good option for dining in central London.
R. R.
Great experience. Staff were excellent and so efficient!
C. P.
Never really crowded and always a great view out from the heart of the city ....
M. S.
Delicious food. Very well presented. Wine is expensive. 3-4x the store price. Views are great. Dark, intimate and fancy.
A. C.
Food is pretty good. We have been a number of times and I the recurring issue I find is that service is almost too prompt. Compared to other Michelin star restaurants the food comes out very quickly. There's a feel that they just want to get the next covers in. Beer selection is also rather lacking and there's no cider. Would be nice to see a tasting menu rather than just a la carte. Also I do miss the steak tartare appetizer.
That being said I would still recommend and suggest you ask to spend some time in the bar before moving across to the restaurant as the views of London are superior to that of the restaurants.
Pictured is Cote de boeuf and pigs trotter and black pudding.
M. P.
Lovely views from the restaurant and the food was good. The soufflé was exceptional. The wine list here is extensive and very comprehensive. You cannot say there isn't enough choice. Will definitely be back again
K. B.
Had a great work dinner here. Started out for drinks upstairs at Vertigo, which has one of the best views of London I’ve seen. We then moved down to the bar at City Social. The drinks menu was creative (cocktails named after buildings in London) and the bartenders were very friendly.
When we moved to to table for dinner we were looked after very well. The wine list was pretty good, but not as extensive as I would have thought. There was only one bottle left of what we chose, unfortunately, but not a big deal as the next bottle was great, too.
All of the food we ordered was delicious, but prices were very steep for the tiny portions that we got.
Overall it is a great place to go for dinner and drinks. I’d have to assume everything is marked up a bit for the view, but worth it overall.
K. O.
Beautiful view and friendly staff 😍
D. H.
Simply elegant. Very good food with an even better view. I would definitely come back if I was visiting again.
Z. P.
Really nice place, view and service.
J. F. R. P.
Nice experience with amazing views. Food is ok, however the service is excellent and the views are worthy.
M. I.
After kindly being greeted at the ground level I was shown to the lifts by the staff to the main floor. Upon arrival of the main floor the views were absolutely divine seeing a different view of the city I wasn’t used to.
The food prepared was impeccable with the service behind each course no less than outstanding. I highly recommend the filet steak with a cheese board for dessert.
Can’t wait to go back and a very good setting for a informal business lunch.
T. P.
Excellent restaurant & bar. Came here for a few drinks with a special someone. Experience was tip top, with quality service and great drinks. Staff are attentive, but not invasive, and generally helped make this an excellent decision for a night out.
E. L. G.
Situated on the 24th floor of Tower 42 is Social 24, a beautiful rooftop bar in the City. The panoramic views of the City are absolutely gorgeous – spot the Gherkin, Shard, Tower Bridge and more!
We felt welcomed immediately by the staff and were seated right by the window to take in the amazing scenery. If there are no seats at the window don’t fret as you can watch the action at the bar or in one of the comfortable booths.
The bar serves a great selection of amazing cocktails and offers a wide range of beers, spirits, wines and champagnes. As Albert Einstein said (and it was on the menu to remind me), “A bartender is just a pharmacist with a limited inventory. ”
We genuinely loved the sound of all of the cocktails on the menu. We started with two lighter cocktails to begin the evening. The Cacao D’Amour with Amaretto, Drambuie, Citrus, Egg white & Cacao perfume (£12) was fruity with the Amaretto and Drambuie working well together. The Social Mistress with Bacardi Rum, Pear liqueur, Maraschino, Blackberry ice cream candy (£13) was pretty sweet. The caramelised blackberry accompanying the cocktail was a lovely treat!
Given how good the cocktail list was we could not resist trying another. The One More: Absolut Elyx Vodka, Blood orange, Vanilla syrup, Citrus, egg yolk, Smoked marshmallow & Champagne (£13) looked absolutely stunning with a gorgeous baby pink colour. It was fresh, lightly sparkling and we loved the toasted marshmallow.
Our lovely bartender, Andreas, also recommended that we try a cocktail from the new menu! We had gin based cocktail with Bombay Sapphire, blue orange liqueur and a passion fruit and citrus foam. It doesn’t have a name yet so just ask for the pretty blue cocktail! Let’s just say it went down very well!
Social 24 has snack dishes, small and large dishes which are great to share in a group. We absolutely loved the Truffle arrancini (£6.50) which were lightly coated and full of flavour without the truffle being overpowering. An absolute must order if you come here!
The Goat’s Cheese churros, London truffle honey (£6) were moreish and the truffle honey was a delicious dip. The Smoked Pork Empanadas, harissa and red onion compote (£6) had a hint of spice and were packed with filling. Lastly, we had the Avocado Tempura, Spicy aubergine dip (£6) which are great if you are an avocado lover.
Social 42 is a must visit rooftop bar in the City offering stunning views and fantastic cocktails. The service was friendly and professional with suggestions for the cocktails forthcoming. We also recommend ordering a few of the small dishes which are great value and really tasty.
C. D.
Superb! Food, drink, service was all excellent. Didn't even get a table by the window but still loved it
D. A.
great place and interior is lovely. food is presented well
K. R.
If you're looking for a "posh but not extortionate" night out for something or someone special, Social 24 is a great fit. The views are amazing and the food and drink is very tasty (and not something you'll have to mortgage your flat for). It was quiet when we went on a Saturday night around 9, so you'll likely get a good seat. Highly recommended.
R. E.
I can't fault it. Excellent food from a menu where every dish looked appetising, attentive staff and a killer vista. Really enjoyed our Thursday lunch.
J. N.
Great view, amazing food. A bit on a pricey side (>£100/person).
R. P.
The view at the bar is nice and the atmosphere romantic if you are a couple. The chicken and the red wine were fantastic! Portions are generous too. Great for a special evening
N. T.
Had lunch at the chef’s table. Very nice. A little too much truffle on everything but otherwise excellent
S. F.
Food from the tasting menu was delicious and server was lovely. Only compliant is that the chairs are uncomfortable and it got a bit cold towards the end. Recommend!
P. B.
Very modern venue with stunning views. Food and drink is beautiful in taste and presentation
H. P.
Splendid views with the sun settings get over the city. Brilliant service, food good and the wine selection apparently fabulous. ..certainly a 4.5 stars from me

Best steak of the year, grilled to perfection. Stunning views of London, really nice upscale place.

Great service. Sommelier had perfect wine choices for us. Loved the short rib!

Great restaurant and a good place to take a date. good views across the London skyline with well thought out and plated food.

Great location, good busy atmosphere for an evening dinner.

Amazing views, excellent friendly staff, delicious food and cocktails would definitely recommend!

Great food. Loved the bar with its fantastic selection of whiskies too. Wonderful views across the city.

Beautiful food (Vegan menu available) with an amazing view of London. The perfect place for a special occasion without doubt.

Everything was beyond my expectations! Excellent customer service, breathtaking view, delicious food. Thank you for making my birthday so special! ... If you want to have romantic dinner, you should definitely go to City Social! 😊✨
P. W.
Food was very good especially the duck dish, would definitely go back for that particular dish. Good view.
A. T.
Great food, great service, on top of it, Great view. For the view, it's way better on the bar side. On top of it I think it's a plus that tables are not packed.
J. S.
Stylish restaurant with a good atmosphere everytime I have been. Nice vibe in here when you are with a group of people.
H. E.
amazing views and great food. The short rib was delightful and decent service too.
T. F.
Fabulous venue. Great service, stunning views, even better food. Highly recommended
Z.
Good service, awesome experience for food, great view - a wonderfull atmosphere.

Out of this world food and service. Absolutely loved the experience and the views were amazing
A. W.
I was taken here as part of a evening of birthday treats, when arriving on the 24th floor we was greeted bye staff. Showen to our table beside the window we was very pleased from the view to our service. Lovely cocktails and a large range witch is a bonus 🍹🍸🥂
P.
Came here for a treat night pre-Christmas present to ourselves and everything was absolutely perfect. The waiters were all amazing and welcoming and the place itself is non-pretentious and a comfortable, modern atmosphere. We only booked a couple of nights before but were lucky enough to get a window booth table which made it even more special! Can' t wait to come back.
C.
Good service, food ok but you pay more for the view and location...
x.
Fab views from comfy surroundings, tasty food, great cocktails and friendly service. Don't think you could ask for more from a bar... Perfect for that long overdue get together...

Went to City Social on Saturday 19th June. It was lovely. The staff were pleasant and the food was wonderful. It was a little chilly in terms of the weather, however what a wonderful evening. Will definitely go again.

Great tasty food
Unforgettable dinner
One of the best restaurants lever eat
K. S.
Really nice bar, great cocktails. Amazing views if you have a window view, would definitely recommend visiting here.
A. T.
Fantastic dining experience. Top quality food, stunning views and superb service. Andrea, the waiter, always goes over and above to ensure the whole experience is one to remember. Highly recommended.
J. C.
Cool art deco restaurant and bar with great views (that are slowly disappearing on the east side sure to construction). The food and drink are both fantastic and the wait staff is brilliant.
L. P.
Amazing views, very extensive wine list, impressive a la carte menu with a lot of seafood and Japanese twists.
R. H.
Awesome views, decent prices. The staff went above and beyond to cater for our anniversary drinks!
M. C.
We enjoyed the food, and some wonderful subtle flavours. A very expensive wine list, but for our celebration our choices tasted even better. The view of the Gherkin, and the surrounding area from our table, comes at a price. I believe this is also 2 Michelin starred, so we had a great dining experience.
Z. L.
The view is great, service was good. But the cod main course was very salty, and salad, and French fries were all very salty.
J. A.
Amazing view over night-time London.
Loved their London Cocktail Week specials!
M. T.
of course the quality of food was amazing and the restaurant beautiful.
Not giving 5 stars because when asking for a wine recommendation to accompany a course they simply recommended the most expensive wine they had (by far), felt like they were just trying to earn some extra money rather than give genuine advice.
D. B.
Being on the 24th floor gives great views over London. I had the ravioli, rabbit, and tarte tatin. All were outstanding. We were recommended a very delicious Pinot noir from NZ. Great experience.
A. G.
Outstanding restaurant, best food I have ever tried. Attention to detail is astonishing, glasses are impeccable, presentation the same. Wine was served by waiter at exact time, when glasses empty. Food presentation and taste is out of this world. You get high from good food and good wine. Prices are same as other non Michelin restaurants, impressed by good rapport price/ quality. Congratulations to the team behind all this.
J. R.
This is one of my go-to Michelin star restaurants. I've been about 5-10 times. I really like the ambiance, it's very sleek and stylish and the view is excellent. The tables for two by the window make for a really nice date night, and the booths make for a good party of 6 setting. I particularly like the duck (if it's going). Some of their older wines have quite a reasonable markup.
Y. B.
Great restaurant for business lunches! The tarte tatin is definitely for more than 2 ;) the rum baba was top notch!!!
W. T.
On point never need to request stuff to be done. My mouth exploded with flavour with ever dish I had
J. F.
In the bar, such a clubby feel. Food was really great. Thank you
J. I.
One of the best meals I've ever had! From starter to dessert it was great! The staff were so helpful and all showed such great customer service 👏. I honestly can't speak highly enough of the time I had at City Social and it's staff
A. P.
Great food and service. Amazing views of the City in the evening.
A. M.
Amazing food, great view and for £30 for a 2 course set lunch menu, very good value.
C.
high up restaurant with gorgeous tasting food and views of London highly recommend
N. M.
Good portion size and really amazing food. Loved the place!
S. M.
It is Michelin starred and you can understand why. Fantastic food, amazing views, great service. Smoked egg starter, lamb saddle main and cheese board all good! Was for a celebration and staff brought out a celebration dessert too! Highly recommended.
E. M.
Although we booked at short notice we were given a table by the window with a spectacular view over night time London. The restaurant has nicely spaced tables and the subdued lighting allows the view to shine. I imagine this is incredibly popular with couples and those on a date as it has a very nice romantic vibe, as well as having a significant number of people enjoying cocktails and conversation. The food was mostly excellent.
O. L.
The food, the view and the service were amazing. We also appreciated the atmosphere, relaxed with a low background music. The drink choice is huge and the waiter are really informed and professional.
If I can suggest something it would be the wagyiu beef and lamb.
Another notable thing is the cheese and crackers selection, try it if you can.
H. K.
Great view, great food, great wine. Service was just as flawless, professional and friendly as one would expect in a restaurant like this one. An extra compliment to the bartenders who are experts in their field and quite entertaining.
It all comes at its price of course, but that shouldn't be a surprise.
Will definitely come back.
N. A.
Superb view of the city for our networking event. Food and drink were great too and there was no shortage.
C. L.
Walked in for a dinner for one. Very busy night so service was very slow - was waiting for 15 minutes at the table for the menu and the wine list to arrive. The wine list is outstanding and some of the wines are very reasonably priced. The Head Sommelier knows his wine and is very passionate about his collection. The food is good and consistent in quality, not at the “wow” level though. I would say the food is above average but the wine is exceptional which made my night perfect. Would definitely go back for the wine list.
s. s.
Absolutely excellent! Brilliant place for that fancy date, a special occasion or business lunch or dinner! Magnificent views of the city, specially from the tables facing the windows. The food and wines are gorgeous. I tried the scallops with a hint of marmite, lovely! The lemon sole main was equally delectable and the banana soufflé was to die for. The food, the service and the ambience does full justice to the high price tag. I need to find a reason to go back soon!
P. M. T.
Favorite restaurant in London. The venue is phenomenal with the best views. The booths are deep, spacious, and comfortable. The service is impeccable and the food is delicious. A really special evening every time. It is an expensive meal but one that feels worth every penny.
A. I.
Really nice location. Great bar. Very busy on a Thursday lunchtime. The crab starter was excellent. The rib eye expertly done and the chips were probably the highlight of the meal. If there was one down point it would be that we constantly had to chase for our drinks. More than once and it became frustrating. However the service was very slick and professional. All in all a very good restaurant.
J. G.
Nice restaurant, friendly staff, good food and great views.
K. W.
Wow - a stunning view and high quality food.
Good range of wines.
Great attentive staff - without being too intrusive.
Works for variety of occasions from business lunch to treating yourself and others.
Wouldn't bring children.
L. F.
Met a friend for dinner and drinks here and we had such a great time. It was midweek but we still managed to have a full booth for the 2 of us. Food was very good quality and the cocktails were divine. The view really makes it a great place to go also.
P. T.
Great food, staff and views - needs a little bit more light at tables - everyone had to use phone-torches to see menu's.
J.
Amazing view with amazing food, perfect for date nights!
R. X.
food is great, the outside viewing facing gerhkin is like a sci-fi film.love the whipped butter served with bread.
R. C.
Absolutely beautiful. This is hands down, my favourite place to eat and drink in London. The atmosphere is lovely, the food is ridiculous ( as you'd expect from a restaurant started by Jason Atherton ) and I've literally never had a bad time here. Yes it's expensive, yes it's in the city but for me, there's no better way to fall in love with London again than to see her by night from the restaurant and bars panoramic views.
I don't go there a lot, but I treasure the memories of when I do.
S.
Amazing night - great food, service and views.
D. S.
Amazing restaurant and 100% recommended. Great view, fantastic food & lovely very attentive staff.
R. C.
Very nice setting for romantic dinners but then lighting was slightly to dark for my liking. Great views all around London. Staff is friendly and courteous. The food is delicious too. The wine list is extensive and feels that you are about to read a novel before selecting your preferred choice but the sommelier was very helpful. A good night out.
G. C.
I made a mistake. I came here without an appetite. Ate too much the whole day. But look, this place is probably the best view you’ll get in London with decent food. Prob worth coming here just for the drinks at their 360 bar. It’s a great date spot. Or anniversary dinner. Despite my appetite-less state
C. M.
Great bar although drinks very pricey. Brilliant views. Did not try restaurant
S. P.
I had a dinner date at this lovely spot this past Tuesday. Truly impeccable and professional service from start to finish - amazing wine, high quality attention to detail with fantastic cuisine from starter to dessert. The bar is fantastic too with direct views of the Gherkin and Shard in the not too distance. Highly recommend and I will surely return time and again.
S. B.
I’ve been here a couple of times now and it’s a great restaurant. Obviously one of the biggest draws is the view which is amazing. Not the best London has to offer but still unique and inspiring, whether sat in the dining area or just for a drink in the bar. As soon as you enter, having taken the ‘less than aesthetically pleasing’ lift, the staff instantly make you feel welcome, looking after coats and bags in the cloakroom by reception. The walk to the table can be a little unnerving, since the floor is dimly lit and most of your attention is drawn to the view outside the large windows.
As you’d expect, the table was dressed well and everything spotlessly clean. Drinks orders were taken quickly and served in good time, with the sommelier being particularly knowledgeable and helpful. The wine list is extensive with some reasonably priced bottles whereas the food menu is, sensibly so, more concise. Every dish was served surprisingly quickly but was incredible, both in terms of taste and presentation. Each option retains a sense of drama, with the waiting staff doing something to bring it to life - whether pouring of the sauce, presenting an additional side dish, or something like cutting the accompaniment. This makes the meal really memorable and stand out.
The rabbit main dish was superb - so tasty and a large portion size meaning I wasn’t left pining for more. There was nothing on the desert menu which caught my attention so instead opted for the cheese, and how glad I did. Served from an extensive trolley, the waiter was really knowledgeable and able to recommend options according to your taste, plus getting hold of additional crackers was easily done. All the choices were unique and there was no scrimping on the portion sizes either.
With no sense of being rushed, after the dining we headed for post-diner drinks in the bar. Again, sat by the window the views were great of the city’s night lights and the lively atmosphere made for a sophisticated occasion, Plenty of people appeared to be drinking espresso martinis, and understandably so, as it is possibly the best I’ve ever had! Again, staff were friendly and great at offering recommendations based on good knowledge of the menu.
Overall, given the setting and quality of both food and service, the prices didn’t seem too unreasonable. It remains a venue and meal that’s stuck in my mind and for that reason I’d return time and time again.
O. P.
Very upscale place with a high view of the city (and the best view is amazingly from the toilets!). Staff are amiable and very reliable when it comes to cocktails and suggestions. Drinks menu is extensive and pricey as you would expect, same goes for the food which is also delicious. Quiet and relaxed atmosphere, more appropriate for a small gathering of friends or a date than afterwork drinks.
T. t.
Wow. This experience was really something. Great service, great atmosphere and mind blowing food. I had the scallops to start and the duck for the mai . I loved the flavours used for the scallops but the duck was the gold medalist. I was truly amazed and shocked by the flavours paired with it. There were so many expressions across my face which my friend found hilarious. But yes, this was a great experience and I will definitely be coming back!
M. D.
Just average. The food was just good, but certainly not at the level you would expect at the price. Wine list also without a decent level of mid range affordable wine, in fact the most expensive wine list I have seen in a fine dining restaurant. Went to pollen street social a week before visiting this restaurant and I have to sat there is a huge difference in terms of quality of food and service. Great view, but everything else just average unfortunately Have to make an exception for the fantastic sommelier who was brilliant.
O. I.
Reserved this place for a work related function and it absolutely delivered! We had a private dining area and the views were just amazing! Food was really impressive and the service was faultless too - I'm looking forward to visiting again and would definitely recommend to others looking for somewhere to host a work function (or even a lesiure related event).
S. Y.
Incredible service, food and view. Worth the money for a special occasion. It was my mother's birthday and they kindly prepared a small surprise cake for her - unfortunately we complete forgot to take it at the end of the night! We blame the cocktails! It was hugely appreciated though.
F. A.
Food is disappointing not at the standard I would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. My halibut was over cooked, so very surprising when you expect cookery mastery. Service was poor, we were constantly either waiting for something or being rushed into something. Restaurant looks good and has a wonderful view. Good wine list. I will not return.
T. O.
Stylish but customer service in the restaurant section was somewhat lax. Was given a menu which was illegible due to fuzzy printing and it took ages to attract a server's attention to request a replacement. That said, the servers were all polite, friendly, and looked very stylish!
Attracting the servers' attention proved to be a challenge throughout the meal.
However, the staff in the bar were the opposite and couldn't have been more attentive or friendly - one young man went in search of an android charger and charged my phone for me.
The food was overpriced for what it was; it was over seasoned and 'samey' though very prettily presented - style over content.
R. S.
Been there twice. Really enjoyed the food both times. Service was reasonable relaxed although they get a bit 'exited' as you approach the end of your allocated two hours. I can appreciate they need time to turn around the covers. Standard menu on the pricey side but excellent views.
J. N.
Had a 9.30 booking which we had to wait 45 minutes for. They had no chicken on the menu, but did have some on the bar menu. We managed to persuade the waitor to allow us to order the chicken after some back and forth and being told we were unable to order food from the bar to be delivered with our mains. Steak was undercooked and ended up eating our meals at different times. The waitor then informed us the service charge was removed from our bill as I was paying, which turned out not to be true.
On the upside - food was fantastic. Compliments to the chef.
j. j.
Amazing food with a great view
S. B.
Very special place indeed. Service superb, food was incredible - views are fantastic. Try to book an hour before sunset and you'll get multiple experiences of daylight, sunset and darkness.
Staff are excellent - attentive, and made a fuss of our table, including complimentary birthday cake for the occasion. The ladies loo's have the best views anywhere in London. Enjoy!
S. F.
It was ok, can't really fault the food but the experience just did not seem special. Everyone is crammed in, you have to ask the next table to excuse you when leaving the table. The temperature was volcanic and very uncomfortable but I'm not sure there is too much that can be done with so many people there. The views are great from the bar but you have to be lucky to get a table of two with a view in the restaurant as you can not reserve a table with a view.
S. J.
Went for our company Christmas party here, the views were amazing across London. We had a private dining area which was lovely, you could see what was happening in the kitchen adjacent to it. The staff were really friendly and attentive.
N.
Jason Atherton is arguably one of the most successful restaurateurs in the UK. His restaurants deliver outstanding food with outstanding service time after time. Our meal at City Social was flawless. The crab starter that my wife ordered was generous, interesting and beautifully presented as was my stater of scallops. My wife had the cod as a main course, I had the rabbit, again both tasty, vibrant dishes cooked perfectly.
Only 50% of the pleasure of a meal is the food, the other 50% is the service. The service deserves a mention all of it's own. Every member of staff who looked after us was charming, efficient, friendly and professional. They are there when you want them, gone when you don't.
The room itself is split in two a bar on the right and dining room on the left. It's on the 24th floor of Tower 42 so has great views. Every table is individually lit so you can read the menu and see what you're eating, but the restaurant is quite dark giving it lovely atmosphere.
Food, service, location, room, all top notch. Figure on about £80 per head and you won't go far wrong. It's worth every penny.
E. N.
It's been a while since my visit but was prompted by Sunday Brunch today to just say how perfect our whole experience was. From the moment we stepped through the door we were totally looked after. Champagne, food, wine, view and most importantly your wonderful staff made the most memorable lunch, so thank you x
A. H.
Excuse me while I move in. It's not just the food that's amazing, it's seeing the subtle choreographed dance the wait staff perform as they move from one course to another, placing and replacing, filling and refilling
Y. T.
Great place with a great view. Love the space which made dining very private despite all other tables being fully occupied. The food of course is delicious, my dishes were mainly meat orientated this time. Love the menu of desserts clearly presented at the start as if to say... make room for these desserts! Will be returning to try more dishes as really the choice was hard to make.
L. D.
Great bar. Amazing views over the City
B. L.
It was our first time at City Social and what can I say...the view was absolutely amazing, especially from the bar, the service was really good and the food was delicious. My boyfriend loved his birthday dinner, he also received a little, complimentary birthday cake.
Great experience overall, it is worth going, for sure.
G. R.
Been here a few times after dinner for drinks. It seems to be a hidden gem in London believe it or not because every time I go, there are always free tables so no waiting around! This place also has one of the best views of London. Friendly staff. Expensive but what do you expect? Also has he best toilets in all of the UK (go and you’ll see why).
I. C.
Ate there last night, whilst the food was excellent the rest of the experience was a disaster for a Michelin restaurant:
1. Table booked for 8:15pm - we were lead to a table by the bar for drinks, fine, no probs, but 45mins later the staff were still trying to ask us if we wanted more drinks rather than addressing the issue that we had been waiting so long. Would have just preferred honesty
2. We had pre-booked the tasting menu, but menus brought out were the a’la carte, eventually got the right menus but when one of us asked for the vegetarian version it took 5 mins to arrive
3. Asked for advice on wines, waiter said he’d get the sommelier, after 5+ mins he arrived and said they’re busy! Eventually one turned up another 5 mins later
4. At this point I complained to the front of house staff. They were very apologetic, I thought great, the service will improve now. Nope, it didn’t.
5. I told the waiter I had a shellfish allergy, second course comes along and the waiter explains what the dish is, including razor clams (which wasn’t listed on the menu for this dish). They swapped it out and we got a lovely alternative but that’s poor service!
6. I had expected when we received the bill that we’d get some discount. There wasn’t any so I had to explain why I wasn’t happy paying service charge. The head waiter was very good and gave us a decent discount.
Thankfully the food was delicious, but I’d have preferred better service vs a discount.
M. U.
Everything was on point! Excellent service as you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The food was exquisite! Definitely some of the best dishes I've tasted! Would definitely recommend to all and will definitely be coming back!
G. B.
Excellent food, really nice vibe. Underwhelmed by the ultimate espresso martini (much prefer the classic) but we really enjoyed our evening.
R. B.
Despite small, expensive portions, the view of London over dinner is quite pretty, provided you reserve a table with a window view. Drinks are nice and the booth style seating can be quite romantic and private. Worth it for a treat night out, expect to spend at least £60pp.
M. B.
Awesome views, exceptional food. Staff were very friendly. Slight delay in bringing first course and staff attentiveness upon arrival was farcical - disorganised reception meant standing waiting for 5-10 mins.
J. C.
Food was a bit below par for the price, but still gave 5 stars because a) it wasn't terrible (just didn't do justice to the price), and b) the level of service is from another world.
I have never been the a place where there are so many people who are so attentive to you - food came out quickly, and it was the most pain free dinner service I have ever had.
And to the waiter who served us, sorry I didn't mention the proposal! He felt bad so gave us a congratulations cake! I felt bad that he felt bad! That's the level of service they give here!
C. T.
Booked this over their phone as their website is useless, booking system broken and site uses flash and nothing else, not tablet/phone friendly! Lady on phone very pleasant. This restaurant has the best table service I have ever experienced, service charge is 12.5% but if it were 25% I would have no issue paying it, had three waiters waiting on us at times helping each other out, but yet we were not pestered at the same time. The food was excellent also, bit expensive but well worth it, can understand why this is a Michelin star restaurant, go for all three courses! Got complementary courses also which was a nice touch. Views are amazing, over all experience was great, relaxing and a great atmosphere. Thought it only right to leave a good review because this place is amazing.
Went up to Vertigo 42 afterwards, waiters call ahead and booked it in after dinner, worth going up there also but be warned drinks are expensive up there, over 30pounds for two cocktails but again was worth it.
R.
The cocktails are great here, as is the view. Definitely worth a trip just for the loos!
Feel free to go off menu at the bar. The restaurant is pricey but you'd expect that for the Michelin stars it holds.
M. D.
Fancy restaurant with good views of London and other towers in the City. Food and drink menu to match the style, so thankfully someone else was paying. 5 stars but I would say on my visit that service was a bit slow at times to the point where I thought they had almost forgotten and I was anxious because I needed to go. Food was delicious though, and the Apple tarte tartin was lovely and covered in rich caramel. Only a shame the toilets I went to didn't have any views.
D. A.
As with most people there when we visited, we had a prepaid Groupon voucher. However, even though we would've left a tip, we probably wouldn't have left the 12.5% requested which the staff as-bold-as-brass presented to us before we left.
It's not a particularly easy place to find & the room itself is small & narrow & doesn't offer 360 degree views, but what you can see from up there is very good. You're either sat very low down on footstools or on high chairs at a bench, neither of which are particularly comfortable, especially for eating. At the first table we were offered, the carpet had food scraps from earlier guests, which wasn't very inviting. To be fair to the staff, when we pointed this out they were there quickly with a brush & pan & also moved us to a different table.
The cakes were tasty, as were the scones with cream & jam, but the very limited sandwiches were tasteless & pretty uninviting with some weird fillings, such as humous, which I would never consider as a sandwich filling.
I suppose on balance, it wasn't too bad a deal considering the price we paid with Groupon, but there are definitely better places to experience afternoon tea in London than here.
C. L.
The staff here are amazing, the service is first class and the food is superb.
Add in the view, and you've got a perfect dining experience.
I can't say enough good things about City Social.
P.
Great view and the food was delicious. Lovely Art Deco, bit quiet when we were there on a Monday lunch but that’s expected. Great wine list.
S. G.
It was OK.. bit overpriced as compared to other fine dining restaurants and given the portion of the meal. Also for people going to enjoy the view, due to the front building under construction you can hardly see anything(though view from the toilets is awesome). Probably give a miss to the restaurant and have couple of drinks at the bar.
D. B.
Okay I'll be straight with you. We had no idea how posh the restaurant was before we got there. We knew it was a dress up situation but when my girlfriend was brought a small table to rest her bag on we knew that we were in for a formal affair. The start and main were the sort of really tasty food which makes you feel bad for eating as you ruin the painstakingly arranged art the chef has worked on. I was a little disapointed we didn't get a window seat as I had requested one, on account of it being my girlfriends birthday, but they DID give us a tiny cake with a candle which was cute. Okay so here is the nitty gritty. It is obviously very expensive, but the food reflects that and the view of the gherkin is lovely. My only real complaint is how dimly lit the restaurant is. By the time we left I had become a cave creature and was almost blinded by the sun.
O. D.
Delicious food, great views and a huge selection of drinks. We went for an intimate birthday dinner and it was perfect for the occasion there was a bit of confusion with service which did let it down ever so slightly, but all in all I would definitely recommend.
P. C.
Good restaurant on the 24 floor of the natwest Tower. We got a table right at the window so we had a really nice view. There are also tables a bit inside though. The service was really good too, they ran out of a bunch of dishes though which is a bit awkward. Food was tasty
C. H.
Having been to a few of London's "high rise" restaurants, City Social ranks among the best.
The service is incredible and the layout really makes the most of the beautiful view. The whole place has a relaxed feel, and the unobtrusive music means it's actually possible to have a conversation around a larger table.
Oh, and the food is sublime. My cod was perfectly done, and the tarte tatin was the best I've ever had. Great cocktail menu too - the Oh My Gourd with pumpkin tequila was amazing.
O. M.
Amazing panoramic 360 degree views of the City of London from the 30th floor of the Natwest Tower. Mouth watering and creatively presented food from a Michelin One star restaurant. Contemporary, soft and chic deco. Reasonably priced. Attentive, knowledgeable and gentle members of staff are their biggest asset. Very relaxing atmosphere.
W. L. T.
Fine dining at a One Michelin star restaurant. It's menu is exquisite. I enjoyed the fruit of the sea veloute. My group were all praise for their dishes. The restaurant on the 24th floor had great views of the City of London. We caught the sun set as the sun's rays reflected off the buildings m. m
J. B.
Fabulous views. Good food, probably not as good as the shard on a week day lunch. Parts of the service were a bit slow while others a bit pressured.
Quite expensive overall because it was good not great.
I really enjoyed the rabbit for my main course but thought the bulgur wheat it was served on a little bland. How about some veggies.
Crab starter lovely. Scallop starter with bulgar wheat hmmm. A little vanilla! I expect flavour explotions. After lunch we caught the lift up to the top floor for tea. Stunning views of London.
J. B.
A well deserved 5 start review. We came here when friends were visiting and they were blown away with the views, food and service. It made an already great night into something a bit special. I guarantee that once you have been here, you will come back :)
T. C.
Amazing food, service and views. Every dish was fantastic. Would highly recommend the 3 course and a cocktail for £38 offer!
Will definitely go back.
A. L.
Overpriced food and drinks. Menu looks cheap for example 'kfc' chicken would cost over £20. Service is non standardized. We have been asked whether we we're ready to order every minute. We opted for dessert instead which was £9.50 excluding service charge. Not bad but ladurees tastes miles better for the same dessert but at half the price. Cocktails again cost over £10. Superb view. Once is enough.
A. T.
Awesome views. Great service. Nice atmosphere. (Love the circular diner style seating). Top notch food. (Just be careful as these are proper top notch prices too).
G. A.
Went for Lunch with my girlfriend. Top notch food and if you can find any offers running then this really is good value.
If you have a problem with heights then maybe be careful about where you sit.
Everything was spotless and the whole experience was one to remember. Staff were very helpful and attentive.
L. s.
I booked a deal through Bookatable, and had a fantastic lunch. It wasn't cheap (even with the deal), but the view, the service and the food were all faultless. Lots of City restaurants rely on the location alone, but the food was brilliant.
A. S.
The cocktails were not the best..but the view is amazing
C. A.
Great food, I was amazed!
great service the French waiter was absolutely great he made my birthday even more special
Can’t wait to go back
B. R.
It is overrated in terms of quality and price. Outstanding views and ambience. Waited 10 minutes before we saw our server and then felt pressured to order immediately. Food was good but had much better for less money.
S. J.
If you are going for the view then you are not going to be disappointed. The food is excellent but really let down by the service. We had to wait the length of the meal for a dinks to turn up, waiting 15 mins for the desert menu and then another 10 to have our order taken by which time we gave up. A real let down service wise for an otherwise excellent venue.

Delicious deliciousssimo! Great vegetarian menu! Good place for a party, business lunch, quiet conversation, and self-pampering.
A. B.
Went with my girlfriend, we both enjoyed the night a lot. Fantastic food, great service and beautiful setting. Cocktails were lovely too. Very much so enjoyed.
A. D.
Another one of his amazing restaurants. My least favourite of his group, but still amazing. Incredible views. Best to get a table near the window and choose one of the more adventurous dishes to really get the full effect! Make sure you get a cocktail.
H. B.
Honest burgers is better than honest.
The meat is delicious, the fries are crispy, the terrace on a sunny day is lovely ! The staff is super nice and of very good advise.
Try their Hawaiian beer, it has a passion fruit twist which is to die for !
Best burger in London so far !
P. R. (.
This place was Gem! Everything I ate was just so delicious 😍 i wasn't even sure of the starter i ordered, but it was very very delicious! Staff were so friendly and the whole atmosphere of the restaurant was lovely!
S. H.
Great location and views. Very fancy a la carte food, great flavours , Well presented and good service. Definitely worth using for corporate events
J. K.
Another brilliant Jason Atherton restaurant. It goes without saying the food is fantastic (I had the quail starter which had the freshest flavours I've tasted in ages, an incredible halibut main dish and one of the lightest souffle I've ever had). What makes this particular venue stand apart are the amazing views over London and The City.
J. R.
Food is amazing and the view help. Great service
P. S.
Great place for a romantic cocktail or two with a fab view over the city
A. H.
Costs an arm and a leg, but on this occasion worth every penny. Romantic and felt eventful with an exceptional wine list. Might try the laid back little brother in the shadows, Temple and Sons next time.
N. L.
Last minute booking, some muddle, late to our table, but when we got there the food and the wine and the staff were wonderful. Great views too. Would go again.
M. M.
My and girlfriend went there for 1year anniversary and everything was amazing. All staff who serve us was really friendly and helpful. Main courses was delicious. At the end one member of staff offer us table next to window what was really nice
C. L.
Good food and service - had a pleasant evening (though nothing was out-of-this-world kind of amazing).
If anyone would like to try michelin-starred restaurant I'd recommend Core by Clare Smith in Notting Hill - food is great and ambience is just a tad nicer.
A. W.
Brilliant restaurant, spectacular food, amazing views
M. E.
If you like a decent view of the wonderful city of London, whilst enjoying a few beverages and/or cocktails, then this could be your venue! Upmarket in style and approach, this city bar located in Tower 42 has one of the best views in town! The staff also specialise in making you feel looked after.
P. C.
Views are great, the bar is nice but the food in the restaurant let’s it down. So many better options in London to dine at. Not sure it warrant a Michelin star.
A. M.
Been here a couple of times now and would recommend it for a memorable occasion. Lovely bar area, great food, good views over London. Comfortable and welcoming atmosphere rounds the place off.
R. H.
Food was good as was overall service. The bar next door though had far too loud music and unfortunately (not their fault I guess) an already very drunk clientelle at 6.30pm on a Friday night.
A. B.
The window booths offer an amazing view, the food is perfect and drinks divine. By the time the cheese came we were confident they knew what they were doing and we were not disappointed.
A. P.
What is not to like about this place (apart from some of the wine list mark ups!!). The food is exceptional, the service attentive without being overwhelming and pretty decent views to match.
A. B.
Had a great lunch - would highly recommend the cod!
L. P.
50th birthday celebrations handled well by the attentive staff. Food was very well presented, and tasted amazing. Would recommend for the food and amazing views from a height.
D. A.
Amazing view, drink and service. Very rich drink menu
J. H.
Amazing views, and good quality food. We went there for a team outing and filled two tables of about 15 people each. They managed to serve our food so that each go their food at the same time. Overall great experience.
N. G.
Amazing food, I had oysters which were definitely the best I ever had. Professional and friendly staff. Amazing looking and tasting cocktails. Stunning views!
N. C.
Restaurant on 24th floor of tower 42. Featuring pleasant views across London, dark but intimate decor. The food is big flavoured and British, try the steak it is superb - aged for 48 days and cooked on a josper grill. Dessert of tart tatin but excellent also, the apples soft and sweet, the pastry crisp.
K. O.
Venue is 5-star PRESTIGE. Impressed with the decor, the staff, everything. Didn't get a chance to eat...but cocktails were A1. 😅 Highly recommended.
A. M.
Good views, decent food and great service.
Slightly full of overly-loud bankers and not exactly great value for money (especially the wine list), but you weren't expecting anything different, were you?
C. C.
Fresh, Clean Food, Good Fish. Delicate flavors not too rich in Butter or cream like other restaurants of this nature. Excellent dessert menu.
R. P.
A bit pricy but a great place to go out for a girls night out or maybe take someone very special too! The service is as excellent as the views! Not sure how the food is since I've only had drinks here.
t. t.
Love the evening vibe. Good cocktails, overpriced food where portions could be increased. Despite this, still one of the best views in London of this style.
A. L.
Great place for a lazy evening, cosy and relaxing place. Staff were friendly and very welcoming and the food was amazing! I highly recommend this place.
S. G.
Great staff and amazing views. A great spot in London.
S. E.
The view is absolutely stunning (especially from the Ladies!), the presentation of the food very Instagram worthy, but the flavours were kinda lacking. Not worth the price IMO
I. P.
Nice cocktails, nice views, friendly bartenders.
E. H.
Another one of Jason Atherton's masterpieces. First of all, the views of London at night are amazing.
The cocktails pre dinner were very enjoyable to say the least.
As for the food, it is what you would expect from something that Jason is involved with. Exceptional and I would recommend it to everyone.
M. K.
I had a wonderful experience! I am a vegetarian and to my surprise, they had a seperate vegan menu. The food was very nice and the views are amazing!
G. W.
Good service and lovely food. Bar menu is a bit limited but the views more than make up for it. Would definitely come again.
T. P.
Stunning view and stunning food. A solid array of individual cocktails. One of the best veiws of all of Londons landmarks. The service is exemplarary.
R. M.
Very high class, fantastic food, great views of London.
N. S.
Amazing service, very kind and extremely attentive. Drinks and food was good but maybe not as good as you'd expect for the price.
Y. J.
One of the best experiences I’ve had in London. Amazing food, service, great atmosphere and view. Expensive but worth it.
s. p.
Great place to wine and dine with great views of London, cosy place, ideal for group or for couples for romantic dinner. Staff are welcoming and very informative with their wine list.
k. T.
Food was good but not amazing for the prices you pay. If you can get a window seat then great views of the city.
Wouldn't rush back..sorry.
T. M.
Very good food - not quite as good as pollen Street social but still excellent. Bar really good fun and buzzy but can be a bit rowdy. Decor great with good views. Obvs not cheap but worth it
d. j.
Amazing food, great staff.
B.
Fantastic food in a great location. Wasn’t overbooked and managed to get in on Valentine’s Day when other similar locations were out of the question
p. j.
Get the spiecal lunch menu great value brilliant service and top draw food
A. S.
Food great, view great though the bar is a touch noisy when the dj is there. Great if that's your scene, just a touch tough when trying to have a conversation!
J. B.
Awesome setting, but not worth a michelin star.
B. E.
This was a treat and thus prices can't be factored in. Service excellent. Food a slight let-down - steak served like warm in parts and not as melt in the mouth as it should have been.
H. T.
Went to Rhodes 24 with my husband for the first time last week and had a lovely evening. We were treated like Royalty as soon as we entered the building and I almost instantly fell in love with the view. Absolutely worth a visit.
m. m.
Amazing views, great for a drink. Very nice service, but quality of food is not up to pollen st standards..
N. M. K.
Great place! Great view, great cocktail
D. Y.
Beautiful place. The view is breathtaking and the drinks selection is good. Food was average
T. M.
Excellent food and service. The atmosphere and the views make it worth the price. Very good for special occasions. Accommodating for vegetarians.

My favorite bar in London: atmosphere, lovely staff and.. STUNNING view!! The whole experience was amazing, glad I found this place!! Highly recommended 💯
K. H.
High quality, excellent views. Good catering for diet. Service a little slow but was busy with folks when I was there
C. G.
Have been here a few times for various occasions and it never disappoints. Great service, Food, wine selection... and scenery!
A. S.
Really great place to eat and watch the sunset in the evenings in the bar, little pricey and not for folks on a budget, but in City Social, you honestly do get what you pay for. Will be return as soon as possible. Thanks guys!!!
h. W.
Amazing views on 24th floor
K. Ö.
Simple elegance. Nice wine list and really good food. Excellent service and the risotto or the lamb can be recommended.
M.
Beautiful view, excellent Service, great ambience, good and unique cocktails and a huge variety of drinks. Will definetly come back!
C. A.
Food is amazing and the views from the window booth is absolutely stunning. Very romantic if you dine around sunset time
P. A.
Great view. They messed up both the seating and the order but they corrected their mistakes. Not as great for vegetarians as hoped, but ok.
T. S.
Upmarket cocktail bar and restaurant - I've only had drinks here. Good views, luxurious surroundings, awesome cocktails. Expensive but worth a visit.
A. H.
Excellent views, beautiful restaurant and good food. I think its lacking that extra special something to justify the price.
C. O.
Restaurant itself is outstanding. All of them are very helpful and welcoming. However booking part was bit unorganised and they don't understand what people needs.
J. C.
Great food, great cocktails, and great service
We were lucky enough to have a Groupon deal where we had a light meal for 2 and a cocktail each.
L. Q.
Gorgeous food. Gorgeous view. Food tasted 7 star. Wish the music was in the resturant and not just the bar.
C.
If anything, you go here for the views! Classy service and amazing selection of drinks, would definitely return.
V. P.
By far one of the best restaurants if not the best I have ever eat in! Amazing views and decor, with a menu that surpasses its Michelin star
V. N. A.
Best food I ever tried.
C. M.
Excellent food and decent views (although being obscured by new buildings going up around it). Unsurprisingly prices are pretty steep...
R. B.
Good food, but noisy and overpriced.
H. B.

K. N.

J. M.
It was the best definitely will got it again
I. C.
Ate there last night, whilst the food was excellent the rest of the experience was a disaster for a Michelin restaurant:
1. Table booked for 8:15pm - we were lead to a table by the bar for drinks, …
B. H. S.
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing view. Can't recommend it high enough.

Food was excellent, superb wine but looking a little tired (Rhodes 24 stuff still there)
G. S.
Lovely views from the restaurant and the food was good. You cannot say there isn't enough choice.
L.
Stunning venue with an amazing view! Also a fantastic Vegan menu with plenty of options.
E. -.
Great views from the restaurant and toilets of the city but food very average for the price. Second of Jasons restaurants I have visited and both pretty average and will definitely not be rushing to the others
W. W.
Stunning views. Fantastic food and excellent service. Very chilled atmosphere.
P. B.
Brilliant food, excellent service, fantastic views. A very memorable dining experience.
L. U.
Lovely views but pricey and slow service
S. K.
Great food, questionable service (particularly on the drinks), could do with some slightly brighter lights - it's just too dark. Would go back.
I. G.
Great restaurant, had many owners, maybe better when was Gary Rhodes but food good and views over the city great.
J. J.
Great food. Great service. Would be better if the turned up the lights. It's almost as dark as Gaucho in there.

One of Jason Atherton's one starred Michelin modern European restaurant. The seafood linguine with fried baby squid was the taste I won't forget
N. H.
Ok venue, a little tired and tatty rounds the edges, and service wasnt great, we dined as part of a larger corporate group, the ribeye steak was pretty poor, a little tough and underdone
V. G.
Cosy, romantic setting with great views across the city. Attentive staff and good quality food esp. The starters.
R. R.
Wonderful meal with very attentive service and a great view of the changing landscape in the city. Definitely recommend...

It used to be better, the food is still good but the drinks are less than inspired (newish menu) and service is brutally slow.

In the time we were having our meal, I would say about a dozen orders were picked up, five called in and there wasn't a seat that was empty. Guess this means they are pretty darn good!
P. W. A.
Amazing food, atmosphere and views!
