Reviews of Cocotte South Kensington
N. P.Went during the first week of opening. Service was friendly but not particularly fast due to a lack of staff. Chicken was good with a nice gravy. Sauces were not outstanding, truffle Mayo was a highlight but the spicy sauce wasn’t great. On the sides, Mac and cheese was tasty but largely stuck to the pan. Also worth noting that prices seem to be inflated vs. other Cocotte branches.
P.Lovely brunch place with good value for money. I came here twice and I’d recommend their signature Truffle Chicken Burger and Chicken Waffles. Including a coffee is around ￡15 per head which is a decent price given the quality of food. One ⭐️ deducted as it could feel quite rush when you are coming during weekend as it gets busy and you feel like you’ll need to return table ASAP for people in the line. I’d also suggest making a reservation in advance. But overall it’s lovely with friendly staff and I’ll definitely give it a 👍🏼
R. A.Absolutely incredible experience. Chef Romain Bourrillon has outdone himself at Cocette in South Kensington. Cocotte is genuinely a farm-to-table rotisserie, and so I learned the free-range chickens come directly from a farm in Evron, France with half of their life being outdoors and free to roam around. The chickens are marinated for 24h then slowly cooked and finished on their spit. You must try the Truffle mash and chips. Choose any salad and its so green, fresh and healthy. The vegan nuggets were very interesting, and ofcourse the chicken is incredible with a wide variety of French sauces. Sorry to be common but the mustard sauce with chicken was moreish. The team and front of staff are lovely as well as effective. Maria our server was smiley and ensuring every inch of the table was used and she able to fit 15 plates on one table, using every inch effectively.
I am so simple and only look for one thing when choosing my favourite places to eat at in London - does it make me feel content and my soul happy? Yes, Cocette does. Yes it does alot ☺️...

The baby potatoes are absolutely delicious and garlicky, mac and cheese is normally really good the last few times I've had it but sadly on my most recent visit it wasn't particularly creamy and was more oily. I previously used to say it was the best mac and cheese in london but hopefully it was just an off day.
J. H.One of the loveliest dining experiences I've had in a long time, this place is an absolute gem! We ate here before an event at the Albert Hall and were served promptly but with real care and attention from the staff - the two waitresses were outstanding with their service. The food was also fab - great value, perfect portion sizes and wholesome, delicious food. The atmosphere was lovely and the space was beautifully decorated and laid out. I will definitely be returning, and will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you for such a wonderful meal and for being such warm, welcoming hosts.

C. C.What a great place. Love the simplicity of a menu that is so tasty and perfectly cooked. We had half a roast chicken grilled and seasoned to perfection. Plus sides is roast potatoes, creamed spinach, and an amazing ratatouille... which just be tried if eating here. Followed by the hazelnut Tarte, smooth and rich. Wonderful service by such sweet staff that made our evening perfect. It's a restaurant for any occasion where you want quality in a relaxed yet sophisticated environment. Proves the point that a simple menu, done to excellence, is the way to go! Meal for two, desert, a drink each, plus coffee .. £71 including service. I'll be back!
