Reviews of Coq d'Argent
L. C.
Love eating at Michelin restaurants, but this is in my top 5. Slightly over priced but not by much.
Food was excellent and healthy size portions as well, service was fantastic. Especially the wine and spirits expert, on hand to give you recommendations if needed.
S. J. H.
Fantastic lunch with a small handful of girlfriends. The food was delicious and we definitely enjoyed our champagne! Our server was attentive without being intrusive and we had a great time.
R. R.
The starter and dessert was lovely, but being a vegetarian they only had one option on the menu which was vegetable curry and rice. The sweet potato wasn't cooked properly and the rice was hard. They should definitely add more vegetarian options on the menu!
J. _.
A little hard to find but very pretty venue.
Main dishes were ok but spinach was super salty, we hardly touched it.
Pleasantly helpful staff.
O. S.
Excellent restaurant on the upper floor of 1 Poultry.
The A La Carte Menu is french themed.
They also have an excellent Wine Menu.
This is a favourite location for City Folk and Business Meals.
The restaurant is well designed and there is a large outdoor terrace and dining area.
The staff were very good and so too was the food especially the Lamb Shank and the Tarte Tartin..
An excellent location for a special occasion with friends or family.
T. V.
Staff was brilliant, food magnificent, desserts to die for, see photos! Sat outdoors alfresco, weather was perfect, a wonderful dinner experience with friends!!! Super recommended!!! <3

Wanted to go as I had seen a Tik-tok video of this place. Went by myself to have a drink and enjoy the view and On top of the view, the ambiance and the drink what I liked the most was the security guy at the roof approached me and told me he was told I was there by myself from the bouncer at the entrance and to feel free to reach to him I needed anything. I felt super safe.
A. G.
Nice place food was nice but unfortunately haven't met my expectations. The restaurant run out of tortelloni at 7 pm :/. Good choice if wines
A. P.
Firstly has a drink on the outer circle where service was slow but once seated in the nicely warmed inner seating area the food was fantastic. Escargots to start followed by the Chateaubriand and the chocolate fondant for dessert. Great food let down by less than attentive service.
M.
Food was good although the service was not great. The waiter wasn’t knowledgeable and they took very long to serve us, even though it wasn’t that busy.
E. S.
This place is really good. The waiters are super attentive without being annoying. Perhaps the old school French food is a bit too rich; but it is delicious. The atmosphere is white table clothes, half business people and half couples on a date. Not trendy, but expensive.
A. S.
A little hard to find but very pretty venue. Great food and nice range of drinks. Pleasantly helpful staff. There's no large outdoor scenic garden like in the photos that come up on Google searches (disappointing) but that might be due to covid restrictions.
S. H.
Absolutely incredible meal. The food was honestly out of this world and the service was insane. The staff were friendly and helpful. A particular shout out to Dalibor and Ricardo who made sure every need was met
L. S. C.
Classic French restaurant. I felt they could be a bit more generous with the sides - the duck comes with 2 half carrots and 3 pieces of potatoes. Food is delicious
S. G.
Great and delicious food , friendly staffs
E. R.
Lovely place!
Great atmosphere, good service and stunning views!
S. B.
Nice restaurant but the food is slightly overrated. Amazing atmosphere. Deserts were amazing.
I. B.
French food very tasty and well presented. Nice ambience, lovely rooftop terrace but it's way smaller than it looks in the photos.
Loved the service, the staff is very nice.
I've decided to try for the first time the snails - great choice, not disappointed as all!
Unfortunately the prices were substantially high.
A. J.
The terrace was closed because of the weather that night. We went to have some drinks there and ordered some wine but both were not really nice.
Everything was made to make the customer warm outside if it is too cold.
P. R. (.
We went for our workplace team Christmas dinner. Menu and the food was very good. But the service was just too slow. We had to wait for good 30-40 mins between each course. We had hot drinks (tea & coffee) included in the festive menu but the waiter never offered us if we wanted any.. very disappointed with the service.
Food was outstanding, especially the wild deer was very good. One of the best meal I've ever had.
A. A.
Decent spot that looks great given its location. Some very lovely and accommodating staff however they appeared to struggle a little with getting drinks orders right despite it being a slow quiet Friday evening.
Also didn't like the difference in menus and not being able to order food from the bar menu for general dining.
D. S.
I’ve been here on many occasions - love the food and friendly service. The outdoor spaces and roof garden are a great way to enjoy alfresco dining in the City.
Sunday Lunch, for me, however was a disappointment. A stripped down menu with buffet starters and dessert. I wouldn’t have booked if I had known. I know that it’s good value and works for many people - just not for me and my guests.
Nevertheless, deserves five stars for all of the other lovely experiences I’ve had there!
S. K.
Delicious food, with a nice roof top area! Perfect venue to treat your favourite people or to impress a date! Chill aura with exquisite service.
T. Y.
I had a lovely fish here, nice bread and decent dessert. My partner was happy with his steak but he said it was not the best he had. Very professional staff and I would like to try the whole grill sea bass next time.
H. H.
Got the evening standard restaurant menu 3 courses for £30 with a glass of Chandon Brut. Such a good deal! Amazing food, bread and service. Would definitely recommend.
j.
Wonderful service. Delicious food. Extensive wine list. The sommelier recommended good wines both by the bottle and the glass. Beautiful atmosphere. Classy indoor dining as well as out door dining on a roof top terrace. Would return.
Y. G.
I have been to that restaurant quite a few days over the last 3 years and have to say my experience has not been as great recently. The terrace bar facing the city has been closed for long time, usually had to wait more than 20 minutes to be served our wine (usually high prices) on the table. Great venue still but I hope they will be more careful in the future with the overall service.
N. V. d. k.
Great food, higher price range. Excellent service. Enjoy nice cocktails in the garden and viewpoint overlooking Bank.
L. R.
We come for drinks. John (now sure if i am pronouncing right) today Terrace. He was so polite and helpful. Amazing service, love every part of it! Environment is amazing, my guest loved it ❤️😊👍
K. T.
Just left here with my twin and our friend. Really loved the service. The right blend of friendly and fun. Delicious food (a couple of improvements needed for 5* 😬 happy to do mystery dining for you 😆).
BIG thank you to Ricardo and Gerado 💛
K. F.
Lunch at Coq d'Argent was amazing! The restaurant is located on the rooftop of 1 Poultry and with the sun out is a beautiful setting for a lunch or dinner. I ordered the tortellini as a starter, lamb shank for main and chocolate fondant for dessert. I couldn't fault the food or the service and I would definitely go there again!
M. L.
Fab food and service with lovely views. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable
M. E.
Fine dining, a great view of Bank from the rooftop garden, and a great atmosphere. Prepare to feel pampered as they bring out the big guns of a knowledgeable sommelier and a host of soft Bread rolls, alongside wonderfully prepared mains, and juicy steaks. All in all a great place to visit and an even better place to take a date.
C. W.
Nice food. Good choice on the menu. Staff were friendly enough but decor is a bit tired and dated. Had a lovely meal but the drinks are over priced . Don't think we will go again when there are better choices in the area
S. B.
A fantastic rooftop bar and restaurant. Great ambience both indoors and out. The rooftop garden is very nicely created and planted with trees and shrubs quite tastefully. If it gets a little cold the are heaters to take off the chill. Some superb views across the city. Great range of drinks a and well made cocktails.
P. W.
We were here for the weekend menu, there was a large selection of items to choose from. One of us requested gluten free choices, and there were quite a few things to choose from, they even suggested a dessert that is not on the menu. They are really accommodate the dietiery requirements.
V. L.
Lovely place, quiet and classy, high quality food, experienced and knowledgeable staff. Very caring regarding allergies, intolerances and cross-contamination.
The vibe is more suitable for making business deals than a party or a romantic date, but that's with most restaurants in the Bank area.
R. A.
Been here a couple of times now.
Highly recommended if you are after an exquisite brasserie type dinner in a rooftop restaurant setting.
A. T. R.
A nice French inspired restaurant in the city of London. If you can get a seat on the terrace there's a nice view as well.
The food was good, not revolutionary or anywhere near the best I've had but for London, it is a good restaurant with decent pricing, just think twice when ordering a cocktail before dinner as the two Mojito's we had were £23 each and they were just ordinary Mojito's, you can get much better cocktails in that area for a price of £23 per glass.
G. B.
Went for the Parisian feast in mid-August, after a French colleague recommended it. The selection for the starter was incredible; the main course was superb, but the best part was the dessert. The service was welcoming, helpful and very efficient.
E. L. G.
Coq D’Argent is a french brasserie / restaurant in Bank, right in the heart of the city. It is at the top of 1 Poultry, the office and retail building which just looks like it has a walkway, cutting through the high concrete structure. However, head up in the lift and it’s like you have been transported elsewhere.
Coq D’Argent has just launched the ‘Le Grand Déjeuner Weekend’ menu. A set menu with the option to go for two courses (£38pp) or three courses (£43pp). They are offering it for half price for the whole of March 2019 if you quote “hot dinners” when booking!
It might be a set menu, however there are plenty of options. There are 12 starters, with one additional sharing option, which we thought was a lot. There are a couple of vegetarian options and a vegan option too, and they appear to cater for most dietary requirements.
All the starters looked divine, and so we set off with two courses in mind.
The Saumon fumé, consisting of London oak smoked salmon, condiments and melba toast, was a beautiful light starter. The salmon was some of the best we have had, and paired with the thin, crisp melba toast was a fantastic choice. We loved that the lemon came in a little bag, to avoid any pulp too.
The Jarret de Cochon, a braised ham hock in pea and mint foam, with chestnut mushrooms, shallots, new potato crisp and comté cheese was our winning starter. It was rich and fantastic in flavour. A little like a fancier version of a pea and ham soup, yet lots more sophisticated. The ham hock was delicate and super tasty, the new potato crispy adding something different to a crouton.
The mains menu was just as extensive with 12 options, and two additional sharing dishes to choose from. Again, they appeared to cater for all, and even though we had meat eaters dining, we were very tempted by the vegetarian options – they all sounded delicious!
The Haut Bar won us over though. A seared fillet of stone bass, with devon white crab risotto, avruga caviar and crab essence was one beautiful dish. The fish was meaty yet fantastically tender and flaky, with a fab crisp, grilled top. The risotto was chunky, not creamy, and gave the dish a fresher, lighter feel. The caviar was a nice finishing touch, and not just for presentation.
We also couldn’t resist the urge to try the Rabbit. The Cuisse de Lapin, consisting of braised french rabbit leg, bourguignonne garnish, mustard sauce and new potatoes was another incredible dish. The rabbit almost fell off the bone, it was superbly tender and pink inside. It had a rich, deep flavour, which was emphasised by the bourguignonne. The vegetables were perfectly a la dente, and the new potatoes beautiful. If you are a meat eater, you will love this.
As dishes are a little on the lighter side, three courses is actually more manageable than you would expect. We perused and debated over the 13 dessert options, which includes a cheese board, three vegan options and numerous creative dishes.
The Tarte au Citron, a more classic choice, looked absolutely stunning as it arrived. The baked lemon tart was finished with a soft meringe, and served with buckwheat and raspberry sorbet. The tart was full of citrus flavour, tangy and tart. The pastry was really buttery, and the raspberry sorbet bold in flavour, and a delicious refreshing alternative to creamier classic pairings.
One fancy, modern and sophisticated spot, with a stunning restaurant area, and amazing garden which opens for those enjoying drinks in the warmer months. The service is friendly and attentive, the food is outstanding and the wine pairings add that extra touch. Dishes are a little on the smaller side, and we do think at full price it is a little pricey. However, for a special occasion it’s worth splashing out at this gorgeous restaurant in Bank.
C. A.
Probably one of the best restaurants I have been to in a while.
When booking please make sure you are sure you want to book here because if you cancel then you will get charge £25, if you fail to turn up.
Though I feel its a bit overpriced for the location and the very cool and chic terrace and ambience it's not that bad.
Simple selection of high end dishes cooked to perfection.
We had the salmon and crab cakes to share which were lovely. Then the octopus and tuna for main. Tuna was cooked to perfection. Finished off with a lemon tart with strawberry sorbet.
We had a lovely evening and the staff were amazing and great knowledge on the menu with honest opinions which we thought was really nice.
Definitely reccomemend though prepare you wallet for it too 😁

This review is for the weekend Parisian feast only:
Extraordinarily good value for money! An all you can eat buffet of oysters, prawns and fish. For that alone it deserves 5*s.
But the mains are good and the desserts are wonderfully "french". And the service is really very good, the waiters are very accommodating.
A. J.
Took a visiting friend and his son on a Thursday and it was a bit quiet. Kudos to the security guy who unlocked the terrace for us to see the view and enjoy a drink out there. Great view and very nice staff
A. L.
Good service but I found the the entree (tortellini) really lacked flavour. The foam was great but inside the tortellini was like air/water/nothing. The white compote goats cheese tart was actually alright (I don’t normally like onion)! I was also disappointed with the dessert (ginger cake) / far too sweet. The petit fours - meh. This was from the festive set menu. My friend had the escargot, roe deer and chocolate fondant. I think she enjoyed her meal more than I did. Maybe they just aren’t good at doing vegetarian dishes...
H. G.
this place is nice, the waiter has great passion to serve and they know the menu by heart, the food is delicious, the venue is nice, it was an amazing experience, i think i ll go there again.
well done guys

After reading a few of the not-so-good reviews for Coq d'Argent, I called to speak to the manager. I didn't way to pay so much for a lunch that wasn't going to be perfect. In the end, they took great care of us. As we still had to eat outside, they made it cosy with fluffy covered chairs and heaters. The outdoor space was covered. We had a 3-course brunch with bloody marys and champane. The manager, Greg, even gave us a secret peek at the garden, so we could see the skyline and take photos on our special days. Only reason for not giving 5 star, is that Vegan options were not printed on the menu and took discussion to sort. Then our vegan friend had to wait, which always makes her feel out of place. The manager apologised, but a restaurant of this caliber should make vegan a standard offering now. Thanks, Coq d'Argent for a great bday brunch!

One of my favourite places in London. Great huge outdoor space, it’s like a forest up there with plenty of greenery and separate bars so you’re never too far away from a drink.
Had dinner here and it’s always delightful. Sea bass filet was a massive highlight as well as the creme Brûlée. Table bread was nice and warm with a salted butter.
Superb service as per expected. Love the cab service offered also, before you enter the loft to leave. Great venue for either social gatherings or date night. Recommended.
G. L.
A pretentious place with pretentious patrons. Service was chaotic and with a hint of arrogance. Food was good but not amazing. Took them forever to take our order -- 45mins after we were seated at the wrong table which was one chair short and had to be moved to a different table which was the same but crammed with an extra chair. I shared the 800g bone-in rib eye steak with someone. After it was cut and served, it quickly got cold. (Granted, the server did ask us beforehand if we wanted her to cut it before serving.) But why did she put all the nice first cuts on one plate, and the fatty, messy scraps on the other? My plate looked like someone had chewed the meat and spat it back out. She did it again with two other people at our table. Use some common sense and miss it up. The steak itself was juicy and prepared well. The fries were excellent but unevenly salted. The tuna sashimi was boring, but the foie gras on top wasn't too bad. Very generous slices of truffles around the tartare.

Wow! This place was amazing!🤩 The exterior was cozy, neat, tidy and fancy. And that the restaurant was on the roof made it even extra special😃 The food?! Loved every bite of the 6 course meal that we had! And the staff was awesome too, especially Pietro! Pietro was kind, polite, funny and really made sure that we had everything and informed us of every detail of our meals😄
So I definitely going to recommend this place to anyone!😁👌
💎Bonus💎: This other guy, who is a friend of Pietro, gave us free Limoncello! It started with him asking my mom where we were from (Sweden) and then he told us that he were from Italy, Napoli(Pietro is also from Italy, somewhere south of Rome). From there he decided to give us free Limoncello!(also because we love that drink so much) That was so nice of him!☺️😁 Real gentleman! To you both I say; Molto bene! Mille grazie!😍 Salute! Skål, å tack så mycket!🥂🍷Blev väldigt nöjd med hur min 25års dag firades hos er!😊🤩

I have been here many times in the past and was looking at the site so I could book to take my daughter for her birthday. I didn't get to take her but I most definitely will, the views are stunning and the in and outdoor space is beautiful. Looking forward to it already.
S. D.
Went for cocktails on the roof on the most gorgeous London day. Expected overcrowding and hassle, but was so pleased at the ease of reaching the rooftop terrace and grabbing a drink while still enjoying the lively atmosphere. The views from the deck are out of this world. They even have a catwalk to go and get those spectacular shots from.
E. G.
Beautiful terrace near bank station. Perfect for a fancy drink, easy walk in policy.
Good for work drinks as they have a small terrace with heaters and it is perfect with good weather.
Not sure about the food.
L. F. P.
I went there with a friend and the ambient is amazing. The outdoor space with trees is perfect for a nice evening outside with fresh air. There's plenty of space so you are not on top of the next table and you can actually talk and still have good music on the background. Drinks are good and prices are fair. A good selection of snacks. Service is a bit slow. Would recommend.
m. i. L.
Went there with a few friends, the staff were accommodating and a bit busy, understandably it was a Friday night but they were helpful. The food was simply amazing! The lamb shank tore off from the bones! It was divine. The wine selection was great & the desserts were delicious! I’ll definitely go back and enjoy the view from the rooftop!😍
H. J.
Mind blowing service, the food was fantastic, the view was stunning, the team were exceptionally! Love it.
C.
This is based on an experience almost 3 years ago (apologies - lockdown) but it was so lovely. Can't wait to go back!
G. W.
About the rooftop bar area only: airy, well-staffed, with green surrounds and canopies shielding you from the sun. The garden and look-out tower were formerly the statement suicide point-of-choice for city-types who'd had enough: not so much these days since they erected barriers. See my pics taken from The Ned for a better view of the rooftop gardens.
Note to the owners: the piped musak *is* a smidge too loud.
A. S.
I went here with my colleague for lunch. The walk was very convenient because of the location. It was a good day, and they have both outside and inside seating area. Good ambiance. They also have fixed 2 or 3 courses menu. Most amazing thing even though French cuisine, they had separate vegan menu. The service was good as well. Not too pricey for the kind of options you get.
S. C.
Food was great and the waiters were very friendly. We were seated outdoors on a sunny Sunday afternoon which added to our dining experience!
M. M.
Great food, especially desserts, special vegan menu! Service is okish - had to asked several time for butter. Very good wine selection but pricey
J. L.
Great food. But no view from the heated areas. Also, they didn't do anything for my dessert even though my boyfriend specified it was my birthday on the booking which I thought wasn't really cool for an upscale restaurant of this level. Then only after we paid the bill, they realised it and sent a dessert plate but I think we were way to full to eat anymore.
A. G.
Perfect waiter : Dimitri!
Perfect birthday dinner : thank you to all the kitchen!
Really nice atmosphere for a lovers meal, friends, birthday or special occasion.
Thank you so much again a good time. We will come back very soon 😀
A. B.
Food was good. Service even better! Especially for the impeccably attentive knowledgeable and personable Greg who ensured everything was just right.
S. V.
Pleasant spot. You expect lovely views you’ll get but not next to your table, as the rooftop is surrounded by a big thick wall. Didn’t try the food, but cheers for finding a place with no reservation and outdoors on a sunny London day!
P. R.
Went to the Saturday launch of the ‘Le Brunch’! which included the new ‘Build your own Benedict!’. Choose between smoked salmon, Bayonne ham or mushroom, topped off with the choice of three Hollandaise sauces: classic, truffle or Nori
Great venue on top of 1 Poultry in the middle of the City opposite Mansion House.
Delicious Bayonne ham Benedict with truffle, followed by a medium rare Sirloin Steak topped with a fried hen's egg and an excellent presented Green Apple parfait made to look like an apple!
Washed down with unlimited Moët & Chandon to go with the live DJ and music.
J. K.
Amazing service. We had the best time there. All staff members and the manager were so accommodating
C. H.
Amazing service, extensive wine list, very well executed menu. It’s an excellent restaurant that should not be missed and to which I will return.
M. M.
Very expensive, food was worth it drink was expensive by the glass would think
About returning especially for lunch
S. H.
Had a lovely Sunday brunch here. Nice atmosphere on a hot summers day, with live DJ. Our waiter Gabriel was so lovely, kind and helpful. Cocktails were so yummy and the oysters were nice and fresh. Will hopefully be back soon!
g. l.
Beautiful food and great customer service
They really out did themselves
I had a fantastic surprise dinner with them
That’s for making my day special and your food is superb
M. P.
It was amazing dinner with my husband. We're celebrating his birthday in beautiful places. I'm first time tried snails, it was delicious. I'm coming back soon.
L. P.
Great views from the top. The seating at summer drinks is pleasant with the night queen flowers smelling beautiful along the walls. The drinks were nice too though not great choice of vegetarian food.
D. N.
Went for my partners birthday to have a drink. It was raining and they was closing but they tried to accommodate us. They have a amazing garden on the roof of the building with panoramic views of the city. Even though they was closing they still let us have a drink which was nice. In the summer it would be a great venue to have drink and just chill.
D. N.
The atmosphere is amazing and the staff are friendly, the food and drink is phenomenal as always. I would highly recommend this resturant.
r. l.
Great view from the roof balcony but the food was just OK (we ate brunch)
P. C.
Absolutely loved the service from start to finish. Food was amazing and the attention to detail in every aspect of my experience was superb. It was a surprise birthday treat which went very well indeed!
A.
Fantastic food and evening, staff really look after you. Yes it's pricey, but worth it
L. M.
Amazing, vibrant place! Food is excellent. Service as well. The garden makes it an awesome and relaxed experience.
v. b.
Lovely experience. Relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. Food was tasty and well portioned. Staff were wonderful!!!
M. A.
Had a splendid time.
Quite and spacious venue with attentive service.
Familiar French dishes cooked with precision (duck was crispy outside, pink inside).
Splurged lots of calories on desert, had no regrets.
D. S.
Excellent food and service. Great business lunch place. Could get a little noisy when busy.
S. G.
This is not the place to go for a cheap night out, but the expense is well worth it.
A glance at the menu before booking a table here may put some people off, as a 3 course meal is going to cost £70pp+, and that's before drinks. But what you're paying for is the whole experience.
The roof top terrace sets the mood, putting a smile on your face which is then enhanced by the service. At all stages throughout my evening the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable, without being intrusive. The sommelier in particular reccomended some good wines in our family's limited budget that went well with our choice of dishes.
Then there's the food itself, we were a table of 10 ranging from 2-76 and everybody enjoyed their food. It seemed like every dish had something about it that made it special, from the presentation to the sauces and the little touches that made you go wow. A particular favourite touch of mine was the zingy lemon and grapefruit flavoured meringue shards with the Tarte au Citron. I had no idea it was possible to make meringue taste like that.
Every aspect of the experience made for an extremely enjoyable evening and I highly recommend this roof top gem.
N. F.
High quality French food. Lovely atmosphere. Service was amazing but slow.
d. c.
Great restaurant, ideal for both business and leisure.
The food is high level, you pay a lot for the location.
S. M.
A nice calm place where you can simply come for free, although you'd most likely end up ordering something or they will ask you why you are wandering around. You can view the Sky Garden and other neighbouring buildings from the rooftop. We came here to hang out after a friend's birthday celebration. Because she was wearing a sash, they even got free mini desserts for her.
J. Y.
A group of four of us had an early afternoon Brunch with a DJ. The food was excellent, amazing value for the price. The sommelier was helpful in selecting a good wine to suit our taste. The DJ was the biggest surprise, the music was quiet enough to allow conversation, but loud enough to enjoy the upbeat but understated tracks. We had a great time, and followed up with a few cocktails in the bar afterwards. Cant wait to go again.
c. o.
Absolutely fantastic food, excellent wine and excellent service. Also the rooftop views are sublime and with the summer upon us will be even better
P. S.
Beautiful food. Make you feel like stars when you arrive.

Our waitress, Roberta, suggested great food from the menu. We had a great evening. Thanks for everything.

10 out of 10.
Rooftop Gardens in Central London with stunning backdrop views of the city.
If you are looking for an outdoor experience with a difference, you should check this venue out.
They also allow firework displays for NYE & Private parties too.
K. C.
Nice terrace. Lovely place. Fake flowers on the terrace and pots full of dirty smelly water. The smell wasnt pleasant. Slow service. Otherwise lovely place to catch up during sunny days.
S. W.
Great atmosphere for some evening drinks. Great selection of spirits available too.
N. B.
Fantastic food, amazing service stunning location. Definitely one of my all time favourite food experiences. Highly recommended
B. D.
Delicious food and nice atmosphere in the grill. Friendly staff and service was good. However the service in the bar area wasn't that great as we had to ask 4 different staff members to get some ketchup for our fries.
S. a.
Highly recommended for fine dining , we will be definitely going back , the view of the city its amazing
F. C.
Great food, amazing service! Would definitely go again!
L. G.
Chose d'Argent for our anniversary. Meal was enjoyable, and setting lovely; what made the evening however, was the service. Greg, the manager made alterations to the service to acknowledge our anniversary, without promoting. Little touches like that make a tremendous difference. Would recommend in a heartbeat.
K. P.
Lovely place! The food is great, and the staff is very helpful and friendly.
It's also nice that they have heating at the terrace, was very helpful given that you can't dine inside, and this April is pretty chilly.
B. L.
This remains one of the best places in the City for a relaxing meal with a good atmosphere, especially for outdoor dining. Service is good, food is first class, the only drawback has to be the prices - especially the wine, very little now under £100 a bottle.

Taken for a birthday dinner. Exterior dining arrangements couldn’t be faulted - warm and comfortable. Felt COVID safe without feeling like we are in these weird times. Service was lovely - the right balance of warmly attentive and welcoming. Food was good, well presented classic French and the wine list was comprehensive and well curated. So lovely to be in a happy, elegantly buzzy place again after lockdown.
S. R.
Great food and service. Check your bill when arrives for added cover charge ( this is for the linen, napkins and bread on table ) Disgrace/embarrassing that this is added considering it is deemed a top restaurant with prices to match .
R. W.
Stunning service and views, food was glorious, staff were friendly and great person touch to the service
R. M.
We went here for my birthday. Firstly, I'd like to say that the food was amazing. The loup de mer and duck breast were so delicious - right quantity, nicely cooked, great sides and overall taste was excellent. The bad point I would like to make is that we were disappointed when we asked if we could sit next to the window (which was a 3 person table), because where we sat, the rain was pouring on the table and it was so windy, which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. The waiter said it's not possible to sit next to the window because it is a 3 seats table and we were only 2. Then, 15 mins later, another couple came and different waiter sat them at that table near the window even though there were plenty more tables like ours with only 2 seats, so we were extremely disappointed by the lack of care/service in this situation especially for a restaurant of this calibre. There was only one more table taken so I don't understand why they couldn't accommodate this minor change. Because of this and the rain, we didn't order the desserts anymore as we have planned, simply because we couldn't enjoy them. Apart from this.. as I mentioned at the start, the food was excellent!!!
L. B.
Venue was lovely and staff were superb. I'd say that the food was ok as opposed to incredible and the wine list is a bit heavy handed with it's mark ups compared to some similar venues. A very nice place to spend a couple of hours al fresco
G. F.
A special place on a summer's eve.
Food is excellent and wine list is a real treat
H.
Food was average, service was a bit poor, rude waitress, sommelier was lovely and chatty.
Egg's tasted weird!
For the first weekend back after lockdown the staff could have been a lot more welcoming and not rushing people out the door.
M. T.
Beautiful view but the security staff are quite rude, made myself and some others feel uncomfortable being there (waiting staff are lovely)
S.
Great atmosphere, great food, outstanding customer service! I have been there few times already and every time I am even more impressed!
J. F.
Great location and food is always top notch. Ideal for a special occasion. They used to do fantastic breakfasts pre-pandemic, I hope these come back.
V. c.
Stunning bar with a rooftop. Bit pricey
W. D. N.
Great outdoor terrace and always a nice one for that after office drinks or that "one for the road" drink.
U. C.
Couldn't fault the food given that we had the set menu. The chocolate fondant was excellent! Nice ambience, clean and the waiting staff was professional yet friendly. Nice way to celebrate my birthday regardless of all the Covid paraphernalia (masks, time restrictions etc) , which sometimes makes you feel weird ! Overall, worth a visit!
R. S.
Service was lax and bill was charged incorrectly.
They got suddenly very abrupt and rude whilst we paid and making our exit
N. M. A.
Really beautiful place to be. The rooftop was stunning in the day and at night. The staff were really polite and was always ready to help and the food was absolutely beautiful
J. V.
Amazing spot for a late afternoon drink... When we visited on a Friday night in October there was a live bank and dancing with amazing cocktails and a stunning view!
M. R.
Chilled rooftop bar. Fabulous in the sun. Great views. Quiet oasis above the bustle.
G. V.
We had an amazing brunch! The set menu was incredible: there was a great choice for our diet requirements. The salmon with crab risotto and caviar was the best ever tried in London. Attentive service.
J. B.
I really enjoyed and will go back. I would give 5 starts but the service was a little slow. Not that I wanted to.rush through dinner, but the waiter was a bit absent.
C. M.
Stellar service, the staff was so great and for once everyone actually cared about having a coeliac customer and what it means. Very sociable staff as well. Food was great as well, fresh and sublime!
M.
Very attractive restaurant with large rooftop area, the perfect outdoor space for these Covid times. Very pleasant staff (all wearing transparent maks), excellent food and great service. Not given it 5 stars because you can't book a table outdoors: we were initially asked to sit inside but eventually allowed outside where there were plenty of empty tables. Not sure how they determine who can sit outside and who can't. I suspect regulars get priority treatment. Also house wine is only £1 cheaper than the regular wine. At £38 a bottle, it's not exactly a bargain but I guess you're paying extra for the ambiance as well. All in all, though, a delightful experience.
M. W.
We had a delicious brunch (grand dejeuner) - the food and quality was so good! Lovely spot and staff
M. W.
This is my go to favourite spot....the lamb shank is to die for, with great service it always a joy to visit
G. W.
I visited this place a around two years ago the setting was amazing and staff were surprisingly friendly which I find unusual in an establishment like this. Too be honest I have few complaints the only thing I would say is the they slightly over do the flavours I had the a roast style meal and it had too much done too it personally I don’t think you should try and “do up” or posh up a humble roast. Maybe next time I will try something a little more authentic And the price was actually really fair for the setting and area. And for you smokers out there the smoking area was fantastic.
M. T.
For an overly priced restaurant you don’t really get what you pay for. They charge you £2 per seat apparently because this is what they do in Rome (what the waitress told me). And this is on top of the service charge. The view is fine but you need to go to the drinks area because the restaurant area is closes off. Good location as well.
A. M.
I wen't to Coq D'Argent for my partner's bday and we had such a great Evening. The food was DELICIOUS! I had the sea bass and he had the faux fillet and A LOT of bread, everything excellent: tasty, good portions and perfect filling.
For dessert we had a taste of all their selection (my faves were the choco fondant and the apple pie) and thanks to the manager, GREG we had a special Happy Bday message on the plate and even a song for my boyfriend.
STEPHAN, GABY and YUKSEL were our waiters and sommelier for the night. All lovely, friendly and very helpful.
The place was beautiful and covid safe. Can't wait for sunny days to come back!
Definitely we'll be coming back and would recommend to everyone, doesn't matter if is a romantic dinner, brunch with friends or business meeting.
J. G.
The food is lovely but very, very, overpriced for what it is. £6 for green beans. £5 for water. In the scheme of things for a nice meal it's not the end of the world but leaves a bitter taste in the mouth. You just don't get that kind of behaviour at truly top class restaurants so they're letting themselves down.
c. c.
Lovely venue, great service & delicious food!
A. S.
The food was okay, not into French food but it is yummy. The wine was very nice! I love that they serve the wine that way and the place was lovely and the crew as well.
B. C.
The Silver Rooster, went for a couple of drinks with my partner and some friends. The overall design is pleasing to the eye, staff were professional, sounds like good recipe for a relaxing evening.
E. P.
Such amazing service. The staff went above and beyond to make our experience amazing. The food was superb. Was a fantastic experience all round.
D. P.
The physical space is very sleek, with nice views of the surrounding neighbourhood (Bank). The staff was a bit slow and didn't seem to have a sense of ownership as four separate servers asked us for our drink orders. That said, the drinks were delicious.
O. W.
Great top notch service, as you would expect in such a place. Super tasty food and lovely outdoor balcony for those nicer summer nights in London!
R. B.
Great venue for a business team social event. Food and drink was good quality and allocated space was good too
R. S.
Great place for celebrations , good helpful staff and an amazing view
C. Ö.
delicious food and very pretty view :)
O. M. O. L.
Good food and plenty of wine. Love it 5 stars.
E. R.
Super cute covered roof top. Not a great view, but wonderful space heaters to cozy up with.
S. H.
In general it was very good. The ambience and food we had on the terrace were great. My only problem was the service..it was a Sunday lunchtime but it was incredibly slow. Getting anything ordered in the first place took some encouragement, then our empty main course plates probably sat on the table for at least 15 mins after we had eaten. Pudding was the same and they cleared everyone's, apart from 2 plates which continued to sit on the table long afterwards. I had a half eaten choc brownie on mine (as it was too rich to eat it all) but they simply could have asked if I was finished- which I was!
The saving grace was that I was with 4 girlfriends I had not seen in awhile so our continued chatter softened the rubbish service. We were also in no rush, so ended up staying for 4 hours.
The waiters themselves were fine, but the speed of ordering and plate clearing needed vast improvement. Lastly, they tried to take our pudding order right at the start. This is not fine dining etiquette.
J. R.
We had familly dinner here, a great place for family gathering. Amazing food but a bit pricey, all worth it though. The wine, I must say, was overpriced.
Excellent service!
P. J. P.
Used the Evening Standard offer, provided incredible value for a gorgeous meal in a top-class restaurant. All dishes were delicious, the staff provided amongst the best service London can offer. Lovely experience. Very formal corporate crowd in there, though (as would be expected).
K. W.
Nice rooftop garden but no seats. Seating area is pretty but you won't get a view!
J. S.
Stopped by for drinks and snacks on a very wet afternoon on the last day before we were allowed inside. No covered tables available but staff kindly found us umbrellas and we spent a damp bit enjoyable hour
C. M.
Lovely restaurant, food was incredible. Only knocking off a star because when we were having drinks, waiting for our table booking it was really difficult to get served
K. V.
Nice place for after work drinks. Beautiful views over the city. Very busy on Thursday and Friday evening.
C. S.
Really nice outdoor rooftop garden in the centre of London. Takes you away from the hustle and bustle below and with a warm evening and a glass of Rose in hand your mind can take you to anywhere you want to be!
S. I.
Food, service, ambiance were all great. Would recommend the Pomme dessert. Soo good
E. B.
Seafood platter and service second to none. Shame the view deck is closed off in winter months, but still a cosy rooftop with heaters
R. B.
Long wait for service. Had to say we were going before they would bring the bill and we were virtually the last to leave. Venue and food good.
L. S.
Fantastic experience all around. Originally told we’d have the table for 2 hours, we ended up staying for 5 hours, no problem. Excellent service the entire time. Sat outside on the rooftop, gorgeous spring evening in London. Menu is extensive, all delicious. Can’t wait to go back!
S. G.
Lovely rooftop terrace for drinks, right in the heart of the city. In the not so distant past very popular with suicidal folk, on account of the low barriers around the rooftop garden.
Restaurant also serves good food. This is the first place I actually tried escargot and they were very good. A friend of mine went mental for the bread basket on offer, so I guess the bread is pretty tremendous too. The rest of the meal I can’t remember much about, other than being left with a feeling that I enjoyed it (it was a long time ago, plus we had a lot to drink)
B. C.
Haven't had dinner there but go often to the terrace. It's quite lovely and big, with different "scenes" where you can sit or stand. Thorough Corona protocol.
N. B.
Very tasty, friendly atmosphere.
M.
gone on a rainy day so not a good start. nice enough atmosphere, food was ok, slightly overpriced and overrated but would still recommend a visit.
P. C.
Had a delightful evening here with my son, great food and really excellent service from everyone.
J. L.
One of the best French meals and restaurant service I've had in London yet! And the pomme vert for dessert is a must!
J. D.
This restaurant is great for after work drinks - the rooftop bar is gorgeous.
J. A.
Lovely roof terrace. Covid safe. Very expensive, £44 for a Dover sole, £44 each for sharing leg of lamb, very small helpings
Great service though.
P. W.
Love the food here. Although this time the pomme was a bit too sweet.
N. P.
Great rooftop location in London! Amazing roof garden and the best super friendly service with a smile
M. D.
What a fabulous little gem of a place hidden amongst the city. We had a great time here enjoying light bites, drinks in the sun. It was very busy with some private parties on the terraces but still lots of tables dotted around to enjoy the atmosphere of the bar. We didn't have much trouble finding seats, and we were offered better seats once other guests had left. the staff were so lovely with remembering our requirements and had such good sense of humours, and even though they were busy they really went above and beyond. Great place will definitely return.
J. R.
Very noisy but great food and service and view
L. T.
Went for a couple of drinks. Convenient location as right in front of the bank station - good for after work drinks.
Nice views of the city but would be great to have seating outside - we were only able to sit on the terrace which has no view at all (except for the office buildings inner court which is not that pleasing).
Wine list rather limited and despite the wines being nice enough we found it a little overpriced. Generally, the terrace bar offering was quite basic which might be its purpose as there's a restaurant next to it (seating inside) with larger selection of drinks and food. But if you don't necessarily look for a place to eat and only wish to have few drinks there might be better options in the area.
A. B.
Perfect for a warm summer day. The terrace is arranged in a circle with a good amount of seating but never too loud or too crowded. The food is traditional french made with good ingredients. Service was snappy (maybe a bit too quick at times). Drinks took awhile to bring to the table but they were pretty busy at the time. Pricing is high but in line with upscale restaurants in the area.
K. 2.
Good food. Good service. Bit over-priced.
C. S.
Nice and cheap set menu. Service was very slow but great when you had it. Had to wait 10 minutes for water, 10 minutes for cocktails and 30 minutes to pay the bill. They kept running trolleys through that were rattling very loudly every few minutes. There is no view from the restaurant, only from the garden but it's a great view. East facing, only of the city. 3 course meal for 2, with two cocktails each: £130 (service removed).
b. t.
This restaurant is located at the top of the rather curious Number 1 Poultry post modernist building at Bank. Views from the rooftop bar are excellent. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The food is French/Italian and is very reasonably priced for this area. The set menu was £35 person and consisted of three courses, with a decent amount of choice. Wine was a bit expensive though. Very good children's menus, steaks almost as big as the adult portions!
All said, very enjoyable.
A. Y.
Coq d'Argent has a relaxed stylish feel to it with its roof top pergola around the central well of the building, bar and garden it's fabulous for summer evenings. The restaurant is large but not loud and echoey unlike so many other places. Service attentive and friendly. Food always excellent. I have been eating here for over 10 years it has never disappointed me.
T.
We dined here on a Saturday evening for the first time and from beginning to end it was superb. The staff were absolutely lovely and professional. We were not only served by a wonderful waitress but entertained by her too! (A lady from Greece..didn't get her name).
We had the set menu which includes a glass of champagne. Everything was brought to us in a timely fashion and tasted fantastic - we were so impressed. I often worry about portion sizes in 'fancy' restaurants but we struggled to complete the main course!
In a nutshell: great decor, fantastic ambience, wonderful staff and amazing food. We will be back in the summer!
R. P.
Good cocktails and service with amazing views
j. b.
I only have 2 issues is that the speaker are old when the music is loud so cracked, and the sound was very loud to the point you couldn't speak to one another
M. S.
The food is excellent but I wasn't very impressed with their cocktails - they really did not look high end so you are better off saving money off those. Staff was friendly.
a. h.
Food and service 5*. A special thanks to Roberto and Ricardo. We will be back
H. S.
Beautiful sun trap location, however took an age to get served a drink unfortunately after repeated prompting.
M. R.
Great food expensive but well worth it
S. G.
Beautiful food and a great roof terrace dining area

Great service as always with delicious food. Great ambience and views.

Couldn't fault the food given that we had the set menu. The chocolate fondant was excellent! Nice ambience, clean and the waiting staff was professional yet friendly. Nice way to celebrate my birthday regardless of all the Covid …

Haven't had dinner there but go often to the terrace. It's quite lovely and big, with different "scenes" where you can sit or stand. Thorough Corona protocol.
B. A.
Really nice bar with nice décor and good service. How busy it gets on a Thursday or Friday is probably testament to how nice it is. The outdoor seating area is very nicely laid out with enough heaters for you not to notice you're outside.
E. B.
A wonderful restaurant. The view from the balcony is lovely, you feel like you are in an oasis in the middle of the city when you look up at all the sky scrapers around you. The food is delicious, and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The perfect place for an impressive date or a special occasion.
G. J.
I must say that going there for a birthday dinner with my second half, I was hoping for a nice dinner, but I'd not expect to leave the restaurant so amazed! The interior is very nice and warm. Personnel extremely nice, polite and well trained. The speed of service is the thing that amazed me the most - from the time we ordered, the starters came after 10 minutes and the mains just after another 10 min! As requested when booking my girlfriend received a b-day cake with candles and her name on it, what was just a cherry on top of the night.
N. D.
A lovely evening with cocktails on the rooftop veranda and good meal from the set menu in the restaurant.
My only criticism would be the service. Whilst fine initially, this got gradually worse as the time it took between courses and to get the bill to pay got longer and longer.
I understand not wanting to be too 'in your face' but it should not take over 3 hours for a 3 course meal for 2.
C. E.
Absolutely wonderful food, large menu selection. Wonderful , friendly professional staff
J. C.
Had a really special Birthday meal here. The staff are attentive and friendly. Meal was delicious! Seated in a really warm and covered terrace.
S. O.
Good food, good environment, good service but expensive.

It's a great setting, atop James Stirling's beautiful building at No 1 Poultry. The rooftop garden and bar are a big draw in warmer weather, but pretty all year round.
The spacious, often lively, restaurant currently offers a superb dining experience, even by the high standards of D&D's best outings. I hadn't been for a couple of years, and went on this occasion with some friends, taking up their current post-Christmas, quiet season offer in conjunction with the Evening Standard
Both the service and, especially, the cooking were superb. It may have been a 'deal' but not one jot of quality was sacrificed. The welcome couldn't have been warmer, and that set the tone for some of the most punctilious and friendly service I've experienced in D&D restaurants, right up there with Orrerry. The wine waitress was knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and helped us select a delicious Côtes du Rhone for under £40 that was perfect with our Coq au Vin.
And that brings us to the star of the show... the food, it's cooking and presentation... both utterly sublime. Stunningly good. Really. All 3 courses (for £35, with a glass of bubbly thrown in... amazing value!) were beautifully offered and served with panache by the great team. The previously mentioned Coq au Vin was glorious, flavoursome and memorable. Other choices we made included a brilliant ham hock terrine, a delicious lamb shank both melting and robust, and desserts that had us cooing with delight... the Apple dessert, well, I won't spoil the surprise!
No skimping, no stinting... just one of the best, value for money dining experiences we'd ever had, we all agreed. Go... I urge you. I can't wait to go back, so I've just re-booked!
J. M.
This restaurant never disappoints. The food and is always superb. The staff are just the best; they are well trained, knowledgeable, genuinely hospitable and must be enjoying themselves because they always seem so happy. Thank you for excellent service.

My nephew and I went at lunchtime to sample the vegan tasting menu. Neither of us is vegan but we wanted to see what imagination and ingenuity a restaurant like this would bring to the table (pun intended). The answer was that the six courses were all good with the mushroom risotto and fresh fruit salad being the highlights.
The place filled up very quickly but we were still able to hear ourselves speak and the service remained polite, friendly and efficient.
I shall be going back.
N. P.
Food was lovely and to my delight they had a nice selection of desert wine. A very beautiful restaurant with amazing staff who go above and beyond to help despite the restaurant being full. A very nice experience and were very helpful with helping me and my daughter chose vegan options.
B. W.
Having dined all over the world we really like when the combination of food, service and atmosphere combine to create a great evening.
We were very well looked after from the moment we first arrived to the moment we left. The staff were delightful, attentive and the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere.
Then there was the food...just excellent.
This is a restaurant I found by accident and we would definitely go back there when in London. It was a real treat.
C. W.
Fab place loved it. But again expensive
n.
Amazing place with extraordinary view of London City. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly definitely help you have the best experience. Every staff were so well co ordinated. And Complements to the chef food was excellent and menu at a very decent price. Wine selection were amazing too but if you don't fancy to have that they have a bar were you can order your drinks too. The garden is the main highlight I would say.
This is honestly one of London's finest. I highly recommend for first dates, brunch or any special occasions.
D. K.
Great atmosphere. Had a set meal which was a very reasonable £35 or so for 3 courses (snails to start, lamb shank and a chocolate mousse). Then of course there is the drink. We celebrated my mum's birthday here with the family and they did a cake for her as well. Excellent service very warm, attentive and efficient.
D. C.
Fantastic meal after an unexpected last minute change of plans (you can see the details in my 5-Star review of their sister restaurant Madison), me and my wife had a spectacular meal and got a private tour of their amazing rooftop garden!! The quail starter was delicious and the sea bass main was divine!! Great meal, great restaurant, great experience!!
d.
Wonderful place and food!! The view is one of the good ones in London! The only but is that they don’t have tables where one can appreciate the view.
Anyway the restaurant is great! I ordered the escargots (one of the best in London) and the lamb as a main for around 30£ all together.
A. P.
Great food. Lovely service. Thanks
D. R.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Ambience is really good. Even though there are lots of tables, the place gets busy in the evenings. Food is awesome. 5 stars for that. Starters, main course and deserts were all delicious. Will definitely visit again. Went for dinner with my colleagues. Definitely recommend.
T. H.
Went there for our 15th Wedding Anniversary & had a fab experience..! The atmosphere & ambience at lunchtime was great, real buzz & vibe around the place.
We couldn't fault the food, the menu had a really good balance of choice which made the decision difficult but made us what to return to try more. Cooked to perfection & we had a great waitress, Adina, who made the experience that much more.
Not cheap but wasn't expecting it to be so taking that into consideration for the occasion it was certainly worth it.
Would definitely recommenced & will be going back for more...!
M. W.
Have been a few times and never been disappointed. Once at the roof top you soon forget that you are in a busy part of London. My meals have always been most enjoyable accompanied by good wine and nice friendly service.
p. m.
It was a wonderful moment. The menu it's like you just arrive in France , the food was expetionnel. My favourite was the truffle risotto, it's come with smock celeriac mouss around, and if you like Paris you have to try the beef tartar, the apple inside make the dish very unbelievable. Hard to choice between the chocolate fondant and the apple, the best is to go on sharing plate. Service was very smily, we get lot advice for the wine it's was a perfect match with all the dish. I hope to get a opportunity to come in spring to try the new menu, should be full of surprise. Highly recommended
R. M.
Great restaurant, the taste is authentic with an appealing "dressage", the size is also very balanced, not too big, not to light. Nice and available waiters. Good choice of wines too. I'm very happy!
D. I.
Very nice atmosphere on a rooftop in the middle of the city. Staff are all very friendly, helpful and efficient at the same time. You can clearly tell that they enjoy what they do. The chefs as well are excellent and rightly proud of their creations.
Most dishes are simple, but always with the freshest highest quality ingredients impeccably prepared. And yes, you can take on a full menu without feeling overly stuffed. The set menu offers great value and no compromises are being made.
A. C.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. Service impeccable and friendly. The food is excellent - always perfectly cooked - and the wine waiters extremely knowledgeable. Love the roof garden and excellent outdoor cigar lounge. Overall somewhere I can rely on having a first rate dinner.
J. K.
Fantastic green rooftop escape in the heart of London!
I went there in May with friends and we had a great time chilling in the garden terrace. The layout is nice and super cosy. The heatlamps helped to keep us warm in the evening. Absolutely loved the greenery around- felt so refreshing. The garden part is amazing for the city views.
The cocktails are outstanding; wine was good too. Hospitality is great - super friendly and very considerate. We did not try tur restaurant; unfortunately I cannot comment on the food.
Overall- this place is a green gem in the City. Great for friends get togethers, chilled drinks, work drinks, dates. Really recommend.
G. C.
Nice location and good food - wine quite expensive. Good experience at this restaurant in London city center. They propose French cuisine with a good presentation. The fois gras was very good, as well as the beaf. Very nice wine list, but what a price ;) however in line with London. The service was extremely good. Recommended!
M. P.
I had my wedding here in October 2018 and I can't tell you how brilliant it was. Charlotte was brilliant throughout. Made everything that needed to happen, happen. The food was AMAZING! They adapted to the poor weather and suppliers not turning up. I couldn't recommend more highly!
M. E.
Went for dinner on Thursday night. The service was flawless and the food was excellent. There were 2 different menus depending on how much you wanted to spend, but both had a good choice of options. The decor was nice too.
D. C.
Probably the best service I've ever received in the UK! Really helpful staff, very delicious food. We had a 3.00pm parision brunch and the staff were on-point, extremely helpful and very polite. The views after brunch from the lookout are beautiful. Highly recommend!
S. S.
I booked Coq D'Argent for a celebration for a group of 12. The service was absolutely exceptional from everyone from the security guard who let us on the terrace to take scenic photographs, to the barman who brought our drinks out to us to the waiter (Guiseppe) who served us and those on reception who took our coats. The service was 10/10, I couldn't fault it. The entire party felt well looked after. The food was good , however having seen what some of my friends ordered really excellent choices. I'd definitely go back there. Highly recommended!
R. R.
Delicious Parisian feast. Lots of choice with starters and desserts. Two roast meat options, two fish, one veggie. Only two minor niggles, Yorkshire was a little tough, and there was not enough gravy, although we didn't actually ask for more. The roast potatoes were excellent as was the beef and lamb. Really like this place. Staff are excellent, friendly and professional
N. C.
2nd time here in the last 3 months, once for Sunday lunch and again for dinner last night. The food is of the highest quality, is creative and bursting with flavour. The set menu is outstanding value and has great variety and plenty of choice.
Staff are all friendly, efficient and very attentive without being obtrusive. Restaurant was full when we had dinner but on no occasion did we need to chase anything up, flawless!
S. H.
Fantastic fine dining experience. The caviar topped beef tartare was divine and the seared yellowfin tuna was delicious and filling. Beautifully unique setting and ample opportunity for a photo with the city skyline in the background. Service was impeccable. Cannot fault them, worth every penny.
N. S.
Now that's a brunch menu! Well done, Coq!
Got a window table, looking out across the roof garden at the London skyline. From the comfort of a really unpretentiously chic dining space, the natural style and ambience of the place was enhanced beyond our expectations, by the low key grooves of the in-house dj. The restaurant is quite classic french old school in style, so didn't expect to be tapping our feet along to Ibiza chill out room tunes (that are calm and tasteful enough not to put off an older crowd like us). Friendly professional young team too. Charming. Couldn't have asked for a better experience for wife's birthday treat. Top marks thank you. Will definitely be visiting again.
J. H.
Always my first choice for an after work stop off. Particularly cosy in winter, great relaxed vibe in summer. Excellent menu if you enjoy seafood and quality meat (like, who doesn't ?!...)
K. B.
Amazing panoramic views. The restaurant is at its best in spring with all the wisteria display in the outdoor area. My favourite dish is the seafood platter. Great oysters!
S. L.
Went there for a product launch event. The venue is really nice, and even though the weather was dreadful, our "balcony" was really good as it is covered and they had tent-like walls up.
The food was really nice, with excellent canapés and selections of bread.
N. H.
Fancy, roof top bar. Most enjoyable.
G. S.
Quite a good spot but crazzzy prices especially for a beer!
L. F.
Disappointing visit today - outside on the terrace (nice enough even in winter) seemed to be outside the orbit of any decent service. We had a half-hour wait to place an order then the starters were delivered (forgot one) within minutes followed by tables cleared before the last guest had finished. A half hour wait for main course (waiter had to return to double check the order and the wine choice during this period). Then the bill was delivered with 2 more bottles of water than we received. All the time, the terrace was being cleared around us for a private party with tables being upended and wheeled past. Food was OK - shame about the second-class stop/start service.

Lovely restaurant with delicious food and amazing views of the City. Expect to pay City prices but it is worth it for the eyegasms 😁
B. W.
Very decent restaurant. The food is very tasty and staff is generally friendly. Has a nice bar as well as a lovely outdoor terrace. Prices are OK. Recommended for both smaller and bigger groups.
S. K.
Great service as always with delicious food. Great ambience and views.

My wife and I meet here parents here for the Sunday buffet, we were coming from Canning Town and they had come from Piccadilly. Location is great just at Bank underground station. Friendly reception and attentive staff throughout our visit.
Food was excellent, the starter buffet had a great selection of seafood, salad, and cold meats. Just the right amount of choices for the main course, the one downside was the Yorkshire Pudding that was served with the beef and lamb dishes which were obviously cooked much earlier in the day and we're tough and could have done with more gravy, but the roasted potatoes more than made up for them. The puddings on offer were very good and made me wish I had gone for less of the starter and a smaller main.

Treated my wife to her birthday dinner. Brilliant service, food, portions and ambience. The bill for ~150£ was totally worth it. What a surprise, we also got two complimentary flutes of champagne after dinner, very impressed.. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I'm actually surprised how in contrast of South Place Hotel this place is considering they're from the same company- D&D London. Been to SPH's 3 bar and the staff there are miserable as hell and the food tastes like plastic while the food here is delicious, the snails are my favourite and the staff look happy and are very friendly and efficient at the same time.
The view is breathtaking!
H. Z.
A nice environment with good food. The view is especially an attraction.
M. C.
The garden has an amazing view of the city at the Central point of bank. Had a gimlet at the bar, which was sweet rather than alcoholic, so very disappointing. The food seemed fresh and was tasty, but the starter and the main came out room temperature. If they were hot it would have been an amazing meal. I gave this 3 stars because of the service. It was pretty poor and they seemed very disorganised. If this place worked on their service and made better cocktails, it would be 5 stars.
M. P.
The weekend Parisian feast is worth it just for the unlimited oysters! The outdoor dining is lovely and feels secluded, while the city views from the terrace are stunning!
The main course is rather disappointing though. My pan-fried cod was way too salty and I couldn't finish it... and neither could another friend who ordered the same.
L. S.
LOVELY food, excellent service, we had beef cheeks (very tender!) with green beans and fillet with blue cheese sauce (which wasnt on the menu, but the chef agreed to make it) and super crunchy french fries, it was all so good! And raspberry white chocolate pudding, again, fingerlicking good!
C. Y.
Fancy setting, good generally good, thought the snails were too salty and steak overcooked - tasted very smokey
P. P.
Lovely roof terrace
B. S.
Service was poor, the waitress struggled with English which made ordering an experience. 30 mins wait for a drink. And most of the roof terrace was closed. Shame
K. B.
Amazing panoramic views. The restaurant is at its best in spring with all the wisteria display in the outdoor area. My favourite dish is the seafood platter. Great oysters!
D. H.
Great place to visit. If you dont know it exists then I would definitely recommend that you go. Really good French food with a very extensive wine list. It has a great atmosphere and really good service !
d.
Wonderful place and food!! The view is one of the good ones in London! The only but is that they don’t have tables where one can appreciate the view.
Anyway the restaurant is great! I ordered the escargots (one of the best in London) and the lamb as a main for around 30£ all together.
J. H.
Always my first choice for an after work stop off. Particularly cosy in winter, great relaxed vibe in summer. Excellent menu if you enjoy seafood and quality meat (like, who doesn't ?!...)
L. T.
Went for a couple of drinks. Convenient location as right in front of the bank station - good for after work drinks.
Nice views of the city but would be great to have seating outside - we were only …
Ü. S.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. Fab menu, fab service, airy, not cramped. Superb location, roof top garden with fab views of the City of london. Not cheap but well worth a visit.
V. Š.
Had an amazing dinner with my friend last Friday. Very attending service and great food. I had scallops for starter (fantastic) and rabbit leg for a main, I have enjoyed the last bit. The sommelier's attention was spot on, my glass was never empty, bread was refreshed 3 times without even asking and the timing of each course was very good. We spent over 2 hrs. chatting and enjoying ourselves at this lovely restaurant. Will definitely come back for another special occasion in the short future!
K. J.
From the minute my mum and I walked in it was special. It was fairly quiet as we booked for 3pm but beautiful, food and drink fab, staff!! Well I have never felt so spoilt, private viewing of the garden, photos taken for us, birthday cake!!
We both left feeling like royalty and yes we did make our friends jealous on Facebook with our photos.
Thank you for making my birthday weekend in London fantastic
r. d.
We were a party of eight during the week before Christmas and expected slow service and a hefty bill but were pleasantly surprised by the friendly, attentive waiting staff and the reasonably priced set menu – two courses/£29 per head. We had an assortment of mains – fish, duck and one vegetarian, all of which were served hot and promptly. All plates were cleared and everyone enthused at their choice (particularly those who had the snails starter. The atmosphere was good, if a little noisy, and because it was a wet winter evening we weren’t able to take advantage of the views. We will go again during the day with hopefully better weather. When you take the lift make sure you look up through the glass ceiling as you ascend!
D. W.
Food and service here is incredible. The Tuna Sashimi is by far the starter of choice. Unfortunately only ever been in the rain so not benefited from the views yet. Certainly going back again ..... and again
H. M.
Service was 5 stars, but waiter asked 3 times am i sure i dont want starters: too pushy!
Food was: average (nothing special) and was served cold.
Carpet is crying for a change.
S. C.
I had a table reserved for 7.30pm
It was 8.45pm before we were being sat down at our table with a menu in hand. We were not offered any discount or concessions despite asking on a number of occasions how long our table would be. The food was good, the cocktails were amazing and waiting staff were very nice. It was just very disappointing to have such a long wait for our reserved table, and due to this we wont be returning.
B. G.
Excellent restaurant with varied menu. Spacious dining room. Has the feel and look of a transatlantic liner. Great views over London from the exterior rooftop bar. Food is excellent. First class service.
R. L.
Fabulous lunch. Lovely seasonal French style food. Very comfortable on a nice day try and get a seat on the roof terrace. Wonderfully attentive staff.
The main trick is to find the place, accessible from lifts in the street.
k. s.
Wonderful experience. Great ambience lovely food
S. M.
The set menu was just exquisite!
Great place to eat out during Eat out to help out! Didn't expect cover charge in addition to service charge! Learning...
T. F.
1st time visit though I've worked in the area for 25+ years. Treated to lunch by a client and absolutely loved the experience. This is a wonderful oasis in the city physically removed from the hustle and bustle below. The menu is short and sweet. It means the chefs can concentrate on a few things and do them well rather than try and manage a huge list of dishes. And it shows - every course was done beautifully. As we'd dined in the one of the hottest summers, sitting out on the terrace with the smell of the Al fresco bbq kitchen wafting around added to the experience. I hope it doesn't take another 25 years to return but if it does then the wait will be worth it.
W. C.
Went for cocktails. Great atmosphere. Staff polite and efficient. Thank you.

One of my favourite restaurants in London. Fab menu, fab service, airy, not cramped. Superb location, roof top garden with fab views of the City of london. Not cheap but well worth a visit.
S. C.
Excellent food which is good value for money - we went for the lunchtime set menu which was beautiful and reasonably prices. I appreciated the lovely relaxed service, not at all stuffy unlike some lesser restaurants. Recommended.
D. C.
The food is over priced for the actual quality. 1kg sharing Steak was sent back because it was inedible which is a surprise at £35pp.
The pork belly and octopus and salted lemon was sooo underwhelming. I ate it, but at no point did i say wow which i was expecting at the high price.
Service is not that friendly.
Could of done much better myself for far less.
Will not return for food but maybe for drinks as the location is handy.
The total bill for 4 came to £297 for 2 course with 2 bottles of wine.
We complained about the steak and the waiter sent the manager over, he did not make a fuss and removed £70 off the bill.
If you are going there and someone else is paying then it is ok, but if you are parting with your hard earned cash then think wisely about your choices.
K. U.
I was invited to lunch here by a supplier. My hosts had booked a table, but to our surprise it was outside on the roof terrace. In late autumn in London a roof terrace is not first choice spot for lunch. There were terrace heaters which took the edge of the cold, however it was not an ideal setting. The food was well cooked without being spectacular.
The roof terrace is probably a nice place to eat in summer, but I would recommend to avoid it any time between October and May.
A. M.
Went for lunch at the Grill - had issues with my online reservation which was ultimately remedied however we were sat outside at the back near the building site with noise and no view.
After finishing our main (which was delicious) we then asked for a desert menu. Unfortunately we were then ignored for approx 25mins upon which point I had to return to work. We went and requested the bill from the waiter and left. A great shame as before that point most things had been great.
Don't go in peak periods if you need to be in and out under 1.5hrs.
M. B.
I was so excited to be able to go back to Coq d'Argent after lockdown- and it did not disappoint! Same amazing service and food - 😁😁
B. S.
Service was poor, the waitress struggled with English which made ordering an experience. 30 mins wait for a drink. And most of the roof terrace was closed. Shame
S. T.
Rooftop restaurant in the heart of the city. Their Le Grand Déjeuner Weekend menu offered two courses for £38 and three for £45, which at first thought, wasn't too bad... but I soon changed my mind.
Dishes were ok, not too flavourful or anything special. I was disappointed with my "Wagyu" rump steak. This was the toughest steak I've ever had, combined with what seems to be a blunt knife, I struggled to cut this into bite size pieces and felt like I was butchering the piece of meat.
I was even going to give dessert a miss based on the first two courses, but it actually saved the day. You can't really go too wrong with chocolate fondant with pistachio ice cream.
There's 50% off the menu for the whole of March, which was just as well, as I wouldn't have been happy paying the full price for that meal.
Wheelchair access ✔️

Way too expensive for what it is service was all over the place the only thing I will say was the food was amazing 👏
C. F.
Gorgeous terrace, beautiful restaurant, fantastic food, excellent service.
Chose this restaurant for a special occasion some time ago with a large group and had a wonderful time.
The terrace has amazing views of the City.
Food: 5/5
Ambience: 5/5
Service: 5/5
V. Y.
Went there on August 7th. Perfect dinner for two. Exceptional service. Food met our all expectations. Staff is friendly and attentive. All together matched the price. Thank You.
C. P.
Incredible food and great venue. Pricey wine list, but what we chose was very good. Great place to treat yourself.
M. R.
Great food expensive but well worth it
C. V. B.
Delicious food, but slow on the still water supply so a bit parched as they didn't leave the jug on the table and I managed to get hold of them only 3 times during the 3 cours dinner whereas wine etc was meted house with marvellous promptitude.
E. C.
Great classy place with lots of Vegetarian and Vegan options. The wine list is humongous as well as the knowledge of the sommeliers that work there. Our wine experience was carefully handled by Lazarus which was a brilliant, exhaustive and patient guide.
Make the most of the refreshing rooftop during the hot season, here you are treated to some sweet views of the Square Mile's skyscrapers.
I really recommend Le Coq D'Argent, the only thing that needs improvement is service presence on the terrace.
B. P.
A surprise in the depths of the city. A ledger's throw from the Bank of England and the over-rated Royal Exchange lies Coq D'Argent. The very name is redolent of the 1980s - wide red braces and braying city boys - but the truth is different.
The restaurant benefits immediately from being elevated above the noise and bustle at street level. Two dedicated lifts cruise you up. Once at rooftop height the welcome is brisk and efficient. The surprise comes not from the smooth service and pleasant and airy ambience but from the fact that you can have a two course lunch, with a glass of halfway decent wine for twenty quid. £25 gets you three courses. We aren't just talking a bit of stale bruschetta and a bowl of watery pasta, either. There's a good choice of dishes and no sign of cooking to a price.
Highly recommended for a pleasant lunch somewhere a little bit different.
A. A.
Service was a bit slow, restaurant was busy and too much going on staff seemed overwhelmed, the lift was not working so we had to wait for one in the back. Food is good but many other locations in London have similar food and better service, outside area is nice, maybe I would consider going back but maybe just to go to the bar.
F.
Fabulous in every way! Sunshine on the terrace so lunch was a lazy and joyful afternoon. Staff epitomise great customer service, food is sublime and the espresso martinis are awesome!
J. B.
Great French faire and a stalwart you can count for solid weekday meals in the City. Great for taking a business dinner. And if the weather is nice head out to the rooftop seating and enjoy.
J. W.
Bit pricey, but decent service and nice atmosphere for a breakfast.
N. B.
Defo the best roof garden in the city, can be seen from The Sky Gardens, which made me find it.
S. M.
I went to Coq d'Argent for lunch with a friend and we were lucky enough to sit outside. Once again, we had a great experience. The terrace is lovely with its vineyards and provide a peaceful break from work.
The floral menu is beautiful and delicious. We had the asparagus and poached egg and the scallops ceviche which were both amazing. A special award to the deserts: the strawberry cup was tasty and fresh, and the apple parfait was to die for!!
We had a great time in a great venue!
V. A.
I have been to Coq d'Argent with clients from the city a few times now and I would definitely recommend it for a business dinner/lunch if you are looking for a venue to impress! They really nail the service there, very professional staff, we have seen the same faces there for a couple of times now and they recognise you too. Food is beautiful and portions are decent, there are plenty of options all kinds of taste buds. Success every time I go!
G. S.
Lovely space, delicious food, above and beyond service. Adina was the best!I
H. R.
Excellent service. Fixed price lunch at £29.50 for 2 courses or £34 for 3 excellent value. Just watch the vegetables at £6 a serving!
M. A.
Took one of 2 lifts to restaurant. Not too busy and felt welcomed immediately. Very clean and bright. Was asked if we would prefer outside seating which we deli ed as a bit windy. Opted for the Parisian Feast which came with a glass of bubbly. Amazing selection of starters including oysters king prawns langoustines and smoke salmon and a variety of salads and also a charcuterie table. It was self service and didn't feel rushed at all. The sommelier was a great help with the Sauvignon blanc we finally chose. Mains came nice and hot and all you could eat dessert made a lot of us very happy what with dark chocolate cake pear tart cheesecake macaroons and meringues. Rounded off the meal with coffee and cognac. Impeccable service. Not an everyday place but could get use to it.
M. L.
Didnt go eat but Seems very up class inside and staff are very attentive. You can just go for drinks outside but weather makes a big difference, the garden was also closed when we went. Mainly full of business people. I would definitely go again for a drink when it's sunny - can imagine it gets very busy
T. B.
Family birthday Sunday afternoon meal ..perfect place, fabulous food, great staff, somelie made our meal for us. Lovely rooftop bar with some excellent views across London. Highly recommended
H. W. (.
Nice city rooftop location for after work drinks. Interesting, unusual view of the city skyline - lots of cranes! But I quite like that kind of thing :) There is seating inside (for dinner), and several sitting and standing tables outside but under cover, as well as a proper outdoor green area if the sun's out.
A. V.
The food was good (just ok considering the price). The place is nicely located in a rooftop, however the service was really slow (about 30 min. to get the starters, and the drinks took even longer).
It's an ok option, but far from being a favourite.
N. G.
We absolutely loved it, amazing food. The staff are really attentive, which makes for a great experience.
Highly recommended, it’s the perfect place to bring that someone special to.
M. W.
Wonderful time for Valentine’s Day. A return trip tonight with a few friends. Lovely server Reg looked after us. Impeccable service and friendly staff

J. C.
Wondered in on a beautiful Saturday afternoon and sat outside for drinks and nibbles with a friend. Atmosphere was relaxed along with the crowd. The views are incredible - and the outside is amazing as the sun goes down over the city. I'm imagining this place has a more ra-ra vibe during the week but is worth a visit on the weekend. Prices are standard for the area - couple of glasses of wine and a couple of cocktails with nibbles cam to £50 for two. Worth it for the view.
D. P.
Superb venue! Lounge with a beer on the grass in summer sunshine looking across the city, or snuggle under a blanket with a mulled wine in the winter. Staff are attentive and professional, food is creative and tasty.
L. S.
Beautiful place, lovely setting. We had cocktails and there were some that were new to me. Quite expensive. Waiter was a bit brusque.
A. C.
The photo on the website seems to show a fantastic view that is not actually available in the roof garden. Service was slow and music dull & intrusive. Clearly very popular with men in striped suits, but was expecting something classier. Not bad, but just not great.
D. H.
Great place to visit. If you dont know it exists then I would definitely recommend that you go. Really good French food with a very extensive wine list. It has a great atmosphere and really good service !
M. T.
Lamb shank on fixed menu brunch deal was amazing.
A. G.
I went here for breakfast. It's good.
You get off the tube at Bank (or you don't, but you'll go near the tube station either way), it's a bit mall-y, but you go up in a lift and are taken to a really secluded feeling place. The breakfast is good. It's reasonably expensive, but not more than you'd expect for a place like this (£20 or so all in, probably, depending on what you get). (There's a £25 steak you can get for breakfast.)
F.
Went there for breakfast. I had the avo toast and a berry salad. The toast lacked seasoning but the fruits were really good. The setting is great for a place in the city!
D. S.
Great service with friendly staff. Excellent food and lovely atmosphere.
D. D. S. P.
Our waiter Greg was Awesome. He was brilliant!! He went above and beyond for my French inlaws. The food was amazing. So grateful for the great service and great food! Our favorite restaurant in London
O. M.
Great food and ambience. Got a great deal for lunch. £30 for three courses and a glass of delicious champagne. Very filling. Good service.
A. E.
Only stayed for drinks, service was excellent
R. D.
The food is great, I highly recommend it
H. B.
a nice place with an outdoor stand up tables , I went there on a drink break with friends , was cozy and delightful , I did enjoy the drinks and the view was a bit full at that time of the year
S. D.
Such a lovely setting - you enter a lift on the ground floor and step out into a chic rooftop restaurant with large gardens and views across the City. Decor is muted and expensive (I have to admit to preferring a little more character) and the crowd's suited but not serious. My breakfast of smoked salmon and spinach Eggs Benedict was delicious, served up with piping hot coffee and lovely, if a little mannered, service.
H. S.
Beautiful sun trap location, however took an age to get served a drink unfortunately after repeated prompting.
S. G.
Coq d'Argent is an all round pleasant venue.
This was my fourth visit and it was just as good, if not better. The tortellini is divine, and also had the saumon fume, huitres and choux fleur. I didn't choose the huitres myself, but I’m glad my fellow diner had it as I was able to taste and it was delicious.
For mains I had the cuisse de lapin - which was ok reason for the 4 stars. I also tried the sirloin steak, which was delicious and tender. Service, wine, dessert are also excellent.
This is perfect for client entertaining
M. R.
Fantastic location. Obviously it's been around for ages, but nothing gets boring when you can sit out on that terrace. Only went for drinks so can't speak for the food, but all the service was very attentive. Highly recommend it
J. T.
Set high above the City, this beautiful outside rooftop space gives wonderful views, and a sense of escape away from the hustle and bustle. Great food and wines and the service is excellent. Great place for a long lunch.
K. S. (.
Nice rooftop bar and garden even. We didn't eat there, but tables looked real nice and appeared to have a seafood theme. Might try that next time around.
L. B.
One of the few rooftop bars/restaurants in London, it can't be beaten of a beautiful English day. Food wonderful but not an inexpensive lunch. Service appropriately attentive
t.
The service and food here are second to none in terms of French Restaurants in London. I have only given three stars as I'm concerned with a practice in respect to the service charge which I'm not sure is even optional. The concern is that when I asked our brilliant waiter whether he received this at the end of our meal, with a 12.5% of a £600 meal, I was told that he would get "some" of it. Frankly that is not good enough. I know other top restaurants are involved in this practice (pointing fingers at La Gavroche here), and I feel it needs to stop.
If you run a restaurant you must factor your costs in to your food and beverage pricing to ensure you are receiving sufficient profit to continue operating as a going concern. A service charge should be for the service staff and never find its way to the company's balance sheet. If I'm wrong and this was simply split equally between the serving team members then I will correct my review.
L. K.
A quite secret place with amazing view to the Bank. The staff was professional and polite. Perfectly suits for having a couple of drinks just to enjoy the evening. :))
H. B.
Dining at The Ledbury was a huge part of my visit to London. I went for a lunch tasting which did not disappoint. The staff were extremely friendly, personable and professional. I started my lunch with a few amuse bouches. One of them was my favorite bite of the entire meal. It was a reindeer dumpling. It had a light, soft bread-like outer shell with a warm moist filling of meat. To me it brought me to winter, in the mountains and Christmas time. It was served on a beautiful piece of food and fir tree branches.
R. F.
Amazing views from roof terrace, but quite expensive drinks
S. B.
Another fantastic meal here last week! Sommelier as usual, was spot on with his recommendations. Service was unobtrusive yet attentive.
A. J.
Had dinner here and it’s always delightful. Sea bass filet was a massive highlight as well as the creme Brûlée. Table bread was nice and warm with a salted butter.
D. C.
Food was good and the location is nice, the portions are quite small for the price. Staff were really friendly, overall we had a good time.
I. E.
I have been coming here for over 10 years. It never let's me down. The food decour ambiance. Good choice on the wine selection to go with the food we choose
O. I.
I had a great time here, this was my first visit at the Bank branch and I will definitely be back again. The customer service was faultless - the views and ambience were great and the food was delicious, I particularly enjoyed my dessert!
j. I.
Excellent food, excellent view and excellent staff, has a very classy feel and ambient setting, reasonable prices for what they offer, would throughly recommend for special occasions.
A. C.
Oh my lord - best meal i've ever had. The creme brulee was out. of. this. world! My family saved up for a while to go here as a treat... the waiter picked up on this and not only did he give me a second creme brulee for free (seriously, I was moaning with pleasure) but he also went out of his way to make us feel special for the night. I will be going back here just for another dessert.
F. M.
Excellent food. Great bar
E. J.
One of my favourite rooftops in London. Nice for lunch, dinner, and/or drinks. Be ready to wait A LONG TIME for drinks on sunny days, even if you find yourself there at an odd hour - it's always packed!
M. P.
Took advantage of the evening standard offer, food was absolutely excellent, service impeccable, the only reason it doesn't get five stars is because the terrace mentioned in other reviews has obviously been handed over to the smokers,🤷 and as you sit in the restaurant the smell of smoke begins to pervade - which detracts considerably from a fine dining experience, shame because otherwise I loved it.
林.
Went there for a business lunch. Price is reasonable considering the location, the view, the food, the wine list, and the service, especially for the business lunch. Highly recommended.
N. P.
Far too busy, kept waiting for 30 mins for table, no apology or gesture. Food was good as usual but service not so. Been here a few times now but this time a little disappointed given it ain't cheap.
N. B.
A little gem in the heart of the city. The rooftop terrace gives you a wonderful view over London on a clear day. The food is fantastic. Tasty, well presented and top notch. Worth a visit if you're in town.
r. m.
Great food and drink but expensive
Lunch time menu is reasonably priced
Staff very helpful
Open area for smoking etc with heaters for the cold days
a. z.
Beautiful setting for a Sunday brunch with designer cocktails & a professional friendly service
C. P.
My friend and I had an early dinner ahead of a concert at O2. A lovely atmosphere, and we were able to side on the terrace with our drinks, before being asked inside for a very enjoyable dinner. Good professional service.
L. P.
Fantastic food with fantastic views of the City. Recommended!
N. D.
its a very traditional environment but if your in the city its a very solid option for lunch or dinner. The bar is also a venue in itself, both inside and in the summer around the roof gardens. I would strongly recommend it.
C. D.
Nice little roof terrace but we were constantly harassed to buy more drinks despite having full ones in front of us. Good selection of drinks but not a pleasant atmosphere
A. B.
Food is excellent, service is excellent. Given the current restrictions at the moment, they are still managing to provide a service that is second to none.
B. L.
we visited coq d'argent for birthday meal and we had great time.
moment you walk in you feel welcome and so special by everyone, I definitely recommend this place to everyone, lovely outdoor space for drinks and beautiful dining room for meal.
thank you everyone making our evening so special.
M. M.
Best Restaurant Christmas Lunch ever!
Amazing flavours, perfect portion sizes, beautiful wines selected by a top wine waiter. Thank you!
S. R.
Outstanding!! Coq D'argent is the complete package, service, food, attention from the staff, all of this made for an unforgettable experience. The oysters were the best I've had, the lamb shank melted in the mouth and the fondant was perfection, thank you to Greg our waiter for his knowledge and charm.
P. E.
Excellent classic French food and superb atmosphere. The staff were so welcoming and helpful. A must go to place.
R. A.
Nice place for drinks and desserts. Good atmosphere. Gets a bit packed though. Would be nice if we got access to the balcony.
Б. С.
Haven't tried cuisine, drinks were nice. Scenery is beautiful, the view is nice. Atmosphere is good as well :)
A. F.
Very nice and trendy place. Rooftop Restaurant with Bar. Nice cocktails. Service very friendly. Food pretty good but not excellent. Location is superb
E. D.
Still one of my favourites, it's been more than 10 years since my last visit and the place has aged much better than I. Staff superb and the food simply 'exquisite'.
S. G.
Beautiful food and a great roof terrace dining area
K. B.
Excellent location, food and service. Well worth the visit -- enjoy!!
A. F.
Beautiful view. Friendly staff. Nice place to wind down on a Friday evening in the summer. Will be back to try the restaurant for sure
l. j.
This place is awesome. Great roof bar great cocktails. Some times service can be a little slow when it's busy but still a great place.
S. B. L.
It’s a nice rooftop garden, the food is OK. You don’t get any other feeling than “this is a posh place for bankers/wankers” so it’s very simple minded and easy - but still enjoyable!
G. S.
Attended a corporate event. Excellent service by staff. Great food - get there early because you might have to queue to get in the lift.
T. P.
Received the wine before I could place an order... But otherwise a very pleasant stay. Staff was not up to its task, but friendly nonetheless. Entrecôte grillé bleu is a challenge, which they mastered perfectly. I am not sure whether tartar of venison is a good idea, but that might just be my tastebuds...
D. T.
We ate at the restaurant this evening and found the food moderately good but expensive for the portions served. Above all, who has ever found salted butter in a French restaurant ?!! Service good albeit a little slow. Surroundings and atmosphere good.
M. F.
LOVED THIS PLACE.
If you are looking to go for dinner somewhere special I will definitely recommend Coq d’Argent.
We went there for my girlfriend birthday celebration and everyone made us fell so special, we just like to thank everyone who made us feel so welcome.
V.
Wonderful French cuisine. You need to try this restaurant. I had the lamb and it was delicious. Nice view and Gin & Tonic at the rooftop bar.
S. W.
Great service, food and attention to detail. Set-price evening menu good value for London. Very impressed with the "Pomme" dessert !
F. -.
Epic food, atmosphere and location. Worth the price!
