Reviews of Dalloway Terrace
H. Q.
Amazing atmosphere especially for afternoon tea which we tried. They accommodated the whole family of 7 in one table which I appreciated as it is rare to happen in most of London’s restaurants. The food was very good and the portions were quite big. Tea was delicious and coffees were okay. Few of the scones were a bit dry but many of them were fresh. The staff were welcoming and very hospitable. Definitely recommended to visit and try!

This was a brilliant experience. Definitely seeing me and my husband there more frequently.
Teas and cakes were amazing, there was one cake that was incredibly rich so we had to share it, otherwise it was all well done, brilliant atmosphere. Went outside and the heaters were sufficient enough despite the cold.
Highly recommend

I think I was expecting a really good dinner flavour but this didn’t really hit the spot for me. The mushroom risotto was average and to me, isn’t quite worth the £20. It wasn’t bad or anything - it just wasn’t overwhelmingly good either. I ordered spinach on the side because I wanted some greens in my meal. The location and decoration is really pretty, and the service was good (they were polite and prompt). But this was pretty much the only vegetarian option (main dishes). I expected more delicious options from an expensive place like this.

Always above and beyond for service, atmosphere and food presentation. I went for afternoon tea and was pleasantly surprised with the display which was a feast for the eyes! It's also child friendly in terms of space. My 3.5yo thoroughly enjoyed being there looking at all the flowers but unfortunately all the sweet treats were just a little too "adult" for her! Would come back here again without a doubt, with and without child! ✨

Best surprise in London, all the staff was very friendly and helpful. The highlight should be the fantastic decoration and cozy atmosphere but the food was superb. I recommend the fondue.

We had a great visit to the Dalloway Terrace. I had completed a lot of research into hotels for afternoon tea as a birthday gift for my mum who is Gluten free. We love afternoon tea but so often it’s hard finding good tasty food for her. There are a lot of negative reviews online of hotel experiences for afternoon tea, but after reading a lot of positive reviews for this one and seeing how great the terrace looked, I booked the Dalloway Terrace. The service was fantastic from the start. I was coming with my mum and brother, but was concerned about the weather on the day and whether the terrace would be too cold, so I called the front desk and spoke to a lady called Virag, who said she would show us the terrace when we came and if we felt it was too cold, she would make space in the Coral Room for us, which is inside the hotel and is another great place for taking afternoon tea. This put us at ease. The hotel is stunning and Virag met us as we arrived, we viewed both options and settled on the terrace, which was nice and warm, a great setup and Virag had kindly moved us to being under a heater, which was thoughtful, very warm in there anyway on a colder day. Maddie then looked after us, who was absolutely lovely, kind and attentive, one of the best staff you’ll meet. We were well looked after, provided with a free refill of sandwiches (or we could have cakes if we had wanted) tea was topped up and nothing was too much trouble. It’s a great, relaxing environment to take afteenoon tea and we throughly enjoyed it! Amazing. (The only slight thing, if I was to point one minor thing to change, was that one or two of cakes had herbs in, which was an interesting flavour mixture, but not something we loved.) That didn’t matter too much though, the scones were warm with the usual cream and jam and Maddie even brought a happy birthday plate with some macarons for my mums birthday. All the staff are attentive and you really feel like you are somewhere that wants to make it memorable and special. Thanks Maddie, Virag and team.

We booked for an afternoon tea. The pastries and tea were very good. Because we were close to easter some cakes where thematic and so cute. Our waitress was so gentle and pass to check if all was ok with us. We arrived in advance so we were placed to wait on the coral room un til they prepared our table. The terrace was nice and cover for the cold
M. L.
My boyfriend took me here for my 23rd birthday and the dinner was DELICIOUS. The staff were super friendly too and there were great spots to take some cute pictures together for my birthday. Will certainly be coming back here
F. S.
Beautiful atmosphere. Gorgeous decor. It made my friends birthday very special. Our server Maria was incredibly delightful and happy to help. We felt very well looked after - thank you. The afternoon tea doors need to normally be booked in advance - especially if you have any dietary requirements. Couldn't finish the whole thing - and we were able to take rest home.

Wow! We visited here for a dinner for my Mum’s 50th birthday and it did not disappoint!
The staff were so lovely, our waiter was the friendliest server I have ever had! And the food! I had the miso cod and it was gorgeous, it may seem pricey but for such a beautiful venue and delicious food it is worth it.
The terrace transports you to Italy! It is so beautiful and feels very Mediterranean even though you’re in the centre of London!
M. N.
We went there to Celebrate my Birthday, nice restaurant, good food and good service from the Hostess. I think our waiter wasn't in a mood, because he first bring the start to my friend and the plate arrived and I wasn't even there, so went I came back I ordered then we had to wait until my food arrived so we can eat together. Everything else was good, we took so many pictures as the place is nice.
T. G.
One of the most beautiful restaurants in London, tucked away on a quiet street right in the hear of the city, few min walk from Tottenham Court Rd station.
The food was great, the cocktail were pretty but not as exciting as the menu made them sound.
A. S.
Love the decor but they are super strict with even having a balloon there. We were there to celebrate a hen do and we couldn't even put up a helium balloon for her. Staff were friendly but they do push to get orders in a timely manner. Food was nice but it wasn't amazing. Sourdough bread with avocado had way too much lemon and avocado on it. They should have cut up the tomatoes. Bread wasn't fresh. Banana bread starter was really nice but didn't like the figs.
a. b.
Great location for special occasion dinner. We went for an anniversary. Nothing too much trouble for staff. Super helpful and attentive. Food incredible and decor and atmosphere really nice. 3 courses + wine approx £100pp which considering the quality and location was value for money. Would go back any time.
C.
Nice enough meal, but surly staff. They have banned any decorations (including a single helium balloon or some table confetti) which is fine, but when asked if they could put a few extra flowers out to dress the table for a small celebration, they said no. When we arrived they had a large table of vases of flowers that weren't being used. It just felt mean spirited, especially given the amount spent for a light lunch.
E. R.
The best afternoon tea I’ve ever had! The food was absolutely delicious, and there was plenty of it. The service was amazing and the staff went out of their way to make my birthday extra special. This was a really lovely spot filled with beautiful flower walls and plenty of space between tables. 10/10 for everything - if you’re for the perfect afternoon tea, this is it!
T. D.
The service we had was first class. We were warmly welcomed and didn't feel rushed at any point. We were given fantastic reccommendations and the staff and the food was amazing and came with enough time to enjoy it before catching our flight out of London. The only thing I was concerned about before I arrived was the temperature due to it being a terrace, safe to say this was not the case at all, it was well heated and felt super comfortable. I took particular note of the Mcnutt blankets at each table, this little detail spoke a lot about the high quality of the Dalloway Terrace. We will definitely be back in the future and hope to spend more time there! Really big shout out to our host, unfortunately I didn't get her name! The surroundings were stunning in the terrace. Amazing choice of food and alll very tasty, would like to try everything. Had the vegetable tempura to start followed by crab linguine and the lamb tagine, cannot speak highly enough of the quality and flavours! Highly recommend booking spend an evening here!
t. b.
Beautiful setting, perfect for Instagram. Food was amazing. Will definitely have the fondue again. Highly recommend the Massoman monkfish and king prawn curry, the creme brulee was delightful.
The service was impeccable.
E. A.
The experience was exceptional at Dalloway terrace!
From the moment we walked in to when we left perfect. All members of staff were an absolute delight, the food was delicious and the drinks were great.
We were diligently attended to even down to when I forgot my phone charger a staff member lent me their own.
Ivo our waiter was a gem and the manager was also so lovely man. There seemed to be a deep knowledge from staff in regards to their area of expertise across the building and genuine care for customers.
I was even told they will be changing the decor for spring and cannot wait to be back! My friend and I duly noted the level of service and how pleased we were, it was just wonderful,
I hope all staff members are proud of themselves I am so pleased to be writing a glowing report. Makes a change from writing about shoddy service.
N. H.
Lovely atmosphere out on the terrace, beautiful interior inside with the coral room and sitting area. We booked afternoon tea and it was just delicious! It's a lot of variety, beautifully arranged and we were able to take the leftovers home. Well worth the visit!
N. A.
The venue is incredibly pretty. They had a good range of food available but I opted for the fish and chips with tartar sauce and mushy peas. It's worth a visit at least once if you're in the area.
The waiting staff were super friendly and always smiling!
M. B.
Perfect corner of London!
Came for afternoon tea at £35pp which is great value for the 5 star cakes, scones and sandwiches that were served. Lovely outdoor terrace that's covered under poor weather but nice all the same. Fab service, not a single complaint. Will definitely be back!
d. P. H.
A true little delight, great food and service with extra special guest stars including a gin jelly dessert AMAZING!! Thoroughly recommend as a little treat, and felt like I was truly in Italy despite the pouring rain outside! Thank you for a wonderful evening!
J. S.
Perfect place for a dinner for two or a smaller group. Decent choice of vegetarian/vegan options, but could be better. The interior is lovely, service is top notch. We liked the desserts a lot :)
R. B.
Really friendly staff. Beautiful restaurant but the service was slow.
I requested a special table and they kindly accommodated.
Options for vegetarians not so great. I had the aubergine gratin and it wasn’t really nice. My friend had the curry, which she said was lovely.
Brownie was dessert was absolutely beautiful - best dessert I’ve ever had!
T. B.
Upon making my booking I was told that the sandwiches and food in general would be 'pregnancy friendly' however, there were 2 sandwiches that I (3rd Trimester Pregnant) did not feel comfortable eating, it was the brie and tomato sandwich and poached salmon. It was unfortunate that an alternative option was not provided. However, the ambience was lovely. When asked if we can pray, the waiters/waitresses took us to the hotel's Chapel. Which was lovely. Thank you.
A. n.
Fabulous place for brunch and girls’ chitchat time! Highly recommend for their risottos! The best risottos I’ve had in London! It’s such a wonderful place for taking pictures too!
A. T.
Great ambience, beautiful place , had a Thai curry and salad, very good ! Good vegetarian options!

Dalloway Terrace is a fancy restaurant specialising in season British cuisine located within minutes walking distance from Tottenham Court Road tube station and the British Museum.
Entering through the pink and pretty Coral Room Bar where patrons can sip a libation or two, Dalloway Terrace is located within the swish The Bloomsbury hotel with everything oozing sophistication and elegance as you'd come to expect from a central London Hotel
Famous for its decor, I am pleased to say that Dalloway Terrace is as beautiful as it looks on Social Media. Their walls of terrace is beautifully adorned with flowers of all seasons, creating a kaleidoscope of colours and a terrace that is just screaming "Instagram Me!". Believe me, you'll want to. It sets a very romantic mood.
Once you've plonked yourself down, perused the menu, and ordered, it's time to tuck in. As expected, the quality of the food was excellent. The chicken Milanese with rockets was aromatic and the grilled Scottish salmon was cooked perfectly with the skin lovely and crunchy. Service was top-notch.
However, not everything is rosy. The wait between ordering and the food arriving was rather long (30 minutes wait to be specific), and excellent as the food was, it definitely doesn't represent value for money. I certainly didn't go over board with my orders. You don't come here if you're on a budget. Sadly, the flowers adornment doesn't extend to the restaurant's patio (which is an extenal extension of the terrace).
To surmise, Dalloway Terrace is excellent for special occasions be it birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, and definitely hot dates. Food is great and so is the service. Just be prepared for a hefty bill at the end.
A. P.
Lovely place to spend an afternoon with a friend. The staff is incredibly polite and makes you feel like you stepped in another era. If you’re in for a poetic afternoon, with great tea, great service and delicious scones, then this is definitely the place to go.

Great brunch experience, lovely service, a really good value for money.
E. A.
Exceptional service and quality at Dalloway Terrace, always a memorable occasion dining in such a stunning location. Enjoyed oysters, crab and a sharing chateaubriand, from a great menu selection.
C. S.
Great food, lovely, happy atmosphere, a real treat. Excellent service, nothing was too much trouble. Outstanding

Dined here in July 2021
My go-to place when I want to be fancy. The place is beautiful and that lovely flower wall is updated seasonly so you’re in for a treat if you come at different times during the year. (Check out my photos when I went last summer and spring!)
Even though the place looks expensive, the prices are relatively decent. When I had the brunch menu it was only £35pp and such good value for money! You get a drink, a starter and main for that price which is better than what you get at some of these other insta-worthy looking places where the food is compromised by the aesthetics. I’ve also tried the afternoon tea £35pp which is one of the BEST afternoon teas I’ve had. Way tastier and less pretentious than the Ritz! In Spring, we tried the blackened miso cod which was cooked to perfection! 😍
The food here tastes great, the staff are genuinely nice, attentive and will treat you with respect. 👌🏼🙌🏼
P. B.
Lovely setting with all the colourful autumnal foliage decorations. Very tasty afternoon tea. Only downside was it is a terrace with just a plastic screen as protection from coldness outside. We were placed right near the entrance & it was freezing so we asked to be moved, which we were eventually. It was better, but still a bit chilly. Some tables are beneath electric fires at ceiling level so that helps. So in winter just dress appropriately for this. It would no doubt be wonderful in summertime.
H. A.
Highly recommended. Brilliant service. Lovely food
B. W.
We went here last minute for a birthday lunch and could not have been more impressed. Venue is delightful - covered terrace with lovely flower arrangements and felt lovely and cosy on a cold winter's day. Joel, our server was fantastic - the best service we have had in years - he could not have done more for us. Wine list is pricey but great quality and the food was excellent - miso salmon and ribeye steak cooked to perfection. We really could not have been happier with our time there.
H. A.
I had a girly afternoon tea here and we all loved it. The the desserts were impeccably delicious and citrusy to match the lemon decor adorned along the walls. We will surely return in a few months to try the autumn afternoon tea 😊
M. K.
Amazing afternoon tea! Good menu, delicious treats and bubbly! Vast selection of teas! Very attentive staff! Must visit!
K. D.
Visited dalloway terrace tor my husbands birthday. Food was nice, decorations were beautiful, but there are a few things why I gave just 3 stars, will not recommend it to my friends and will not return.
1) very expensive alcohol. I get that it’s a posh place, but 15 pounds for the smallest aper spritz… too much.
2) drinks took too long to arrive. We had to ask several times about them.
3) no special gesture for my husbands birthday. That’s the first place that as so unwelcoming.
O.
A lovely place for afternoon tea & brunch!
They have 2 very different themes of seatings, you are given a choice of where you would like to be seated once arrival, their staff will guide you through if you haven't been here before. Both rooms are very intriguing and beautiful.
We had brunch,
It was lovely but unfortunately their main courses let us down as I ordered the egg benedict with bacon and English muffins, the muffin and bacons were very hard to cut through and to chew, bacon was a little too overly cooked and salted for my taste and I wasn't able to finish my plate sadly. Also their crusted avocado toast was a little too toasted to cut through also. We had a hard time eating our mains but overall the other platings were delicious.
N. I.
Enjoyed the beautiful brunch at Dalloway the other day. Staffs are all very professional and provided excellent service. Good food. Lovely decor.
C. B.
Evo was wonderful and was very attentive to our dietary restrictions! Amazing place with extraordinary service.
The food was delicious and the atmosphere very beautiful. Thank you so much we loved our experience!
O. S.
Fabulous location, beautiful food, perfect ambiance. Highly recommended for afternoon tea.
J. A.
The decoration of the terrace is just magical. If this doesn't make you feel cosy then I'm not sure what will! We went there for lunch but they offer a full brunch menu or even an 'Afternoon Tea' option.
.
We went for grilled salmon 🐟 and a fillet steak🥩. Both were absolutely perfect. Service was spotless and even though this place is slightly more expensive, for me it was absolutely worth it.
M. B.
The prawns were sublime! Always appreciate the consistently excellent service
b. j.
First trip out after lock down. Sanitiser, social distancing and track and trace as you would expect.
Not overly busy yet so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. Entrance through the Coral room to the outdoor terrace.
Beautifully decked out for the summer with very attentive and pleasant waiting staff.
A beautiful lunch was followed by leisurely drinks in the coral room.
A great place to visit especially if you are going to the British Museum which is nearby.
E. F.
The Dalloway Terrace & The Coral Room are my 2nd homes. The staff are great and the food & booze is reasonably priced for the location and quality of the Bloomsbury Hotel. Try a cocktail or two and relax. A perfect afternoon location to relax from the bustle of the west end.
L. C.
We had an evening meal here. The setting and decor are beautiful. The walls are decorated floor to ceiling in flowers and the lights made this a very romantic place to dine. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Good menu choices and the food was excellent. I will definitely be dining here again when back in London
R. S.
Decidedly average food at hotel restaurant prices. Good if you just want a backdrop for your Instagram pictures, not the best place if you want a particularly good meal for a reasonable price.
Service wasn't particularly good either with us having to wait a while even though we had a booking, didn't get the table we requested, and the drinks took longer than the meal to arrive.
S. R.
The atmosphere there was gorgeous. The food was fantastic and our favorite was the risotto and seared scallops. It was great I would recommend you. My friends and I will definitely come back for this!! Other food was great. The restaurant provided us a birthday cake for my friend which was really kind.
t.
Booked online for breakfast. Was served immediately for drinks to start with. When ordering our food, waiter explained to us which dish is halal and which dish is not. The wait for our food was not long. The presentation was amazing. The pancakes tasted delicious and was very filling. The terrace itself was beautiful with the autumn leaves everywhere. Staff were very nice to us. Two hour time slot which was long enough for my friend and I. Something most people are not aware of is that you are allowed to use whatever camera you wish (dslr or phone. no tripods are allowed) but you cannot take photos standing up as it is in the way of where the waiters are coming in and out and due to disruption of other guests experience. You have to take your pictures from where you are seated. I definitely will be coming again.
L. T.
Service and food were both good but not amazing. Interiors looked great.
Social distancing was not practiced well. There were no screens between tables and tables were not left empty to create space.
We made a reservation however they did not refer to it thus we were not able to get our requested table.
O. D.
We've been here last Sunday for dinner.
I really enjoyed the shrimps 🍤 and the atmosphere. We had a really good time.
R.
3.5 not 4 stars
Setting: this place isn’t easy to find. Could use better signage. The decor is def nice but of course crammed.
Food: we had the truffle fries (odd tasting oil), rocket salad (delicious!), salmon(great!), grilled chicken(chicken is good but sweet potatoes lack any flavor), chocolate bombe(eh)
Service: good service nothing to complain or brag about
Cost: this is the largest downside. I don’t think the food or ambience merits over a hundred dollars.
E. T.
Came here for lunch on a sunny day and was seated on the terrace. Beautiful autumn leaves decor, good atmosphere. Tentative staff. Love the provision of smoothies and juices. Good lunch menu, beetroot salad was lovely, scallops cooked to perfection and lobster Thermidor was a delight. Thank you for a lovely lunch
R. G.
Such a beautiful place!! Spent the most amazing afternoon celebrating my daughter's birthday! We had the vegan afternoon tea which was just perfect.. the chef, Chris, was extremely attentive and very professional and went to great length to explain the various ingredients in his creations.
L. a. N. L. P.
This is a gorgeous spot for afternoon tea! The comfortable and well spaced tables sit beside a wall of flowers (so it's very instagram-ready)!
The food was lovely, and the pastries particularly pretty. In addition, the staff were very helpful, friendly and attentive.
I. B.
We went mostly for the super cute decor and had the Sunday brunch menu. Pancakes and wine at 3pm why not. The service is friendly and professional. Magic atmosphere to set one up for autumn. Delicious food.
Y. F.
Oh my God!! That night was over the top, we came through Instagram, we didn't know what to expect. The food was tasty and beautiful. Our waiter was the most pleasant, funny, nice and charming person I have ever met in my life. Because of him we took so many good decisions about our food. We stayed there almost three hours. The place is beautiful, and warm, they have blankets and heaters and also a smoking area. Easy to get there, just pay attention the restaurant is inside the alley and not on the front of the building
J. D.
Such a cute restaurant! Visited with a friend during the festive season and we loved it. The fish and chips were cooked perfectly and the prices are really reasonable for London. It's a popular restaurant so would definitely recommend booking ahead.
G. C.
The most Instagram worthy cafe in London but that is all I can really say about it. Visited for for afternoon tea. However, the brunch seems to look better. I thought the afternoon tea was nothing special and the sweets disappointing. Personally I think there are many alternatives in London for afternoon tea and for a cheaper price. In addition, service was slow and not attentive at all.
A. E.
I had afternoon tea there, and expected bit more from that place.
Service was 5/5
Interior 5/5
Comfort 3/5 - can't say this chair was comfortable.
Biggest disappointment was food. Sandwiches was tiny and tasteless. Cakes oversweet or not at all. Best part was scones, from all of it. Also choice of tea was average.
So food 2/5 - for this price expected better.
Anyway, enjoed atmosphere, took pictures, but not coming back for more.
A. “. Z.
Exotic, Energetic and Exquisite place for fine afternoon snack/tea time. Please do explore the salad, dessert and appetisers range. It’s one a kind places in London you have to try out once in a blue moon with your special someone. If you want a haute cuisine experience with a good budget range. This is the place for you.
B. H.
A fantastic afternoon tea. I visited woth my friends to celebrate my 30th birthday and was ecstatic that the brilliant food and service matched the beautiful decor. The terrace was cosy and warm and I will definitely be back!
D. V.
Disappointing experience. Found the front of house to be very surly.
Asked to sit by the wall as it was very cold by the side. They said the table for 2 was kept for larger groups. The table remained empty until the last 10 minutes of our meal.
I'm not sure if they were just having an off day but found the staff in general to be very abrupt and not friendly.
The food was nice, the superfood salad was great, eggs benedict was cooked well and I enjoyed the loose leaf tea.
They gave us the wrong bill - about 30% off what we had to pay and we told them.
Overall, we were not made to feel welcome there and it has tarnished the experience which was meant to be nice and relaxing with a girlfriend. Will not be returning
K. T.
Excellent place for brunch with the girls, a couple of mates or even for a romantic affair. The scenery just changed from summer to winter and the terrace is decked with plush furry rugs and heating. A great start to the day with their bellinis or for a healthy option all their juice collections are delicious.
L. M.
The restaurant is just the downstairs of a hotel so the environment is very comfortable and stylish. The service was great and the food was awesome! The Cod and grilled broccoli were tasty!
A. W.
A gorgeous and quiet place to have drinks in an upscale setting. On a chilly night, the outdoor patio is heated, sort of. And, they do provide lovely throw blankets to help keep you warm, making for a cozy atmosphere.
T. P.
That it was an amazing experience would be an understatement service was so good from the moment we arrived. We were too afraid to ask someone to take a picture and the waiter observantly and kindly noticed and offered to take it for us the afternoon tea was worth £35 and the pastries were delicious you must try the scones and the sandwiches were great especially because you can refill them anytime you want. Overall the atmosphere is amazing the highlight of this place is the scenery so you must go if you're one of those people who love Instagram.
C. K.
I strongly recommend Dalloway Terrace - We had a perfect Sunday brunch at this beautiful (and instagrammable) restaurant! Both the Bircher Muesli and the Avocado Bread were delicious, the breakfast tea had a very unique, special taste, the service was impeccable and of course the decorations and music set a chic atmosphere. Great value for money - we will be back soon.
C. P.
A lovely place for a delicious breakfast. The current decor outside is fantastic and the food was very tasty. I can highly recommend the Guinness bread with salmon. (Definitely get the poached eggs as well! It's a little extra but worth it).
L. K.
It was my first time, having the afternoon tea in London. I felt satisfied and happy that I chose the Dalloway Terrace for it! The perfect, cozy and peaceful place for having a nice cup of tea in autumn. Atmosphere is amazing and where you can relax and forget about crowds. The staff was highly organized, professional and polite. Talking about food, sandwiches and scornes were perfectly made and were delicious. Only sweets weren’t my taste. But overall, I highly recommend this place! Thank you 🍂🍁🤩

This is such an amazing spot great for a girls catch up or a romantic meal! Food is delicious do try the prawn starter and seafood mains are great. The venue is extremely instagrammable and floral wall is so pretty!
V. N.
We visited this place for a Sunday brunch with my friend. Very pretty environment but quite posh and pricy. There were no seats under the tent and we had to sit out in the sun (mind you, that day it was 30 degrees, so you can imagine the discomfort). They told us that for the tables they give priority to the hotel residents which kind of makes sense but still there were empty tables when we arrived and they could have offered one. It was nice for a one-off but I don't think I'm visiting again anytime soon.
J. T.
Amazing service! The table was not available for the time that we booked so gave us complimentary cocktails! Food was nice and loved the decor.
K. B.
Fantastic afternoon tea here. Went just after Christmas. Beautiful terrace yummy tea and they had blankets to keep you warm. Lovely atmosphere.
L. P.
I loved this afternoon tea. The ambience was nice and the value for money is excellent, you get unlimited tea and the portions are large. I didn't love the sweets at the top quite as much (but perhaps that is because I am a simple cake with frosting and chocolate desserts kind of girl, and they were a lot fancier than that). Special shout out to our waiter George who was very kind and arranged for me to get a delicious plate of grilled veg on the house, as I didn't eat many of the sandwiches due to being vegetarian. Thank you!
S. S.
We had a fantastic breakfast here! The terrace is so beautifully decorated. The food was delicious! We had omelets, pancakes and Eggs Benedict. Coffee was also good. Service was great!
E. E.
Unobtrusive staff and quiet ambience. Beautiful selection of cakes and some lovely sandwiches. Pot of tea got cold quickly and there was no problem getting a fresh pot, plus doggy bag to take home of uneaten cakes. What's not to love???
E. b.
Beautiful covered terrace super cosy and beautiful. Food was lovely, they have a vegetarian and vegan menu. They also have heaters by the wall side.
T. V.
Pros - instagram-worthy background, good afternoon tea (not too wow tho)
Cons - staff were inattentive and unfriendly
For a luxury place, service is as important as the quality of food.
Worth a visit if you have never been. But there are many other luxurious places with better service at the same price range.

Food is amazing, I had burrata to share and eggs royale. These eggs are other level, so good! And I had some pancakes as dessert, too sweet for me but still good.
I was sat by the window and I was a bit cold and I asked to the waitress if could change to another table and she told me that there was another booking coming but everyone knows that is possible swap tables in the system. I think she couldn't be bothered.
S. J.
Absolutely stunning outdoor seating environment with beautiful decor but the service let it down. Waiter was quite rude and we felt rushed. Maybe it was just a bad day but i would go back as food was nice just not with the same waiter we had
S. S.
I chose this place due to its massive appeal about being the most instagrammable place, I found the atmosphere amazing, the space was smaller than expected but the autumn leaves were a great sight. While the food was good it didn't hit the mark and was sort of standard but it didn't ruin the evening.
Ended the night in the Coral room which had a spectacular live jazz performance, this is the first time I've placed myself in this type of environment and I'm just speechless, everyone was super friendly.
C. Z.
Lovely meal. Great service and beautifully decorated.
Z. M.
Great heated terrace, very covid safe, in a beautiful setting. The group table for 3/4 people probably gets more heating than tables for 2. The food was good too.
N. S.
Atmosphere and service was great. Good selection of drinks! Food wasn't as exciting or special as other places I've been to with a similar vibe or price range. Delicious nonetheless, but nothing that stood out for me
H. Y.
Dalloway Terrace knows how to pamper their guests. Our meal here was relaxed and we enjoyed the entire evening. The food was amazing (lots of truffles) and the service was top class. Would highly recommend an adorable fancy date night here.
M. P.
Food and presentation were good. A shame that it took about 30 mins for anyone to come to our table for the order or to check if we needed anything but the people who finally came seemed very nice. Mixed approach to masks, some of the staff were wearing them, some others weren’t. I appreciated the ones who were. Finally, the restaurant as a whole is very pretty but the area we were sitting at was perhaps the least decorated.
O. M.
Lovely food, great atmosphere; i had the Green Thai Curry with chicken for my main course, skipped starter and desert. I thoroughly enjoyed my meal, repeat visit coming up for the King prawns
A. M.
Lovely ambience and food, staff are attentive and polite. Small mix up with our order which was resolved graciously. Decent vegan options but wouldn't recommend the salad!
D. A.
Had a really nice meal. Simple menu all cooked well and excellent service. Perfect date restaurant because it is so well decorated. There is a really cool cocktail bar that you can walk through to without going outside too.
D. R.
Beautiful surroundings, service good, lovely food, a little expensive, but hey it is London, just don’t order coffee after your meal it is appallingly bitter, sent mine back, second was worse than the first.
E. L. G.
I don’t tend to use this word very often but Dalloway Terrace is very instagrammable! Part of the Bloomsbury Hotel, just moments away from Tottenham Court Road station, Dalloway Terrace offers breakfast, brunch and dinner in a fairy-tale setting of cosy fairy lights, winter warm rugs and beautiful trees. The outside area is also rather adorable but it was a little chilly when we visited!
Make sure you book in advance at the weekends as it does get busy – the two terraces only have around 50 covers and Dalloway Terrace receives a lot of hype. Now I am not normally one to follow the crowd but even I was lured here by the Instagram pictures…
I visited for brunch at the weekend and already had my heart set on the French Toast with crispy bacon and maple syrup and I was not disappointed. With a good sized portion, syrup in a jug so you could choose how much to add and decent crispy bacon, it was a bargain at only £9. We also had the Severn & Wye smoked salmon, Guinness bread, creme fraiche and poached eggs – the portion of salmon was very generous and the poached egg was cooked perfectly.
Accompanying our breakfasts were a pot of English breakfast tea and a Blueberry Coconut Smoothie from the Juicery. The service was friendly and attentive and I would definitely return.
If you have time to spare, I would recommend having a cocktail in The Coral Room which also forms part of The Bloomsbury Hotel – the decor is amazing.
J. H.
Lovely setting and meal was perfect with the food tasty and enjoyable. Not over priced just excellent value for money. The staff were brilliant, observant and unobtrusive. The photos already uploaded by others show the wonderful ambiance....so.....the coffee was excellent and finished the meal perfectly
T. K.
Great setting and atmosphere. Foods and drinks were average though. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re going for the taste or portion.
H. W.
Excellent service, lovely food, Beautiful setting
f.
Not sure if the açai Bowl was meant to be served room temperature...it’s also an Açai Smoothie Bowl (mixed in with other things) not an Açai bowl. But the environment atmosphere and service make up for the food
Z. S.
We had a nice lunch here, I had the super food salad which was a big portion and was tasty but it did miss a bit more dressing and flavours.
The place itself is beautiful, the service was nice, so overall it was a great experience but it's a bit pricey.
J. V.
Wonderful restaurant! George was taking care of us, he was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us very good suggestions. Not only the service but the food was spectacular. Highly recommended!
A. T.
Had a really nice dinner/ small celebration with a friend a weekday night and felt like on a vacation! The place has great vibe, nice design and food was good too. Very great service by our water Hovanes, who gave perfect recommendation and was polite, friendly, jokey and always attentive to our requests. Will go back for a weekend brunch soon at a terrace.
H. H.
Its my 2nd time going here. Lovely service, good food. Just a lovely atmosphere.
I. C.
Met a sweet Dutch waiter name Sjoerd during Christmas. The service is really good.
If you want to have Instagramable pic, it’s better to come during lunch time. The lighting would be better.
However, it’s hard to find the restaurant since it’s actually part of the hotel I guess.
O. A.
A cosy place; lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. The food is nice (Egg Royale , Poached eggs with avocado and the pancakes). Sure will be back with friends.
G. R.
The service was absolutely phenomenal!
Food was phenomenal!
Abd the tea was perfect!
The cared for me like a princess after a long day of shopping.
I will most definitely be going back.
O. M.
Absolutely exceptional!
From the moment we arrived and were greeted to the moment we left we enjoyed every single thing here.
Arrived for weekend brunch slightly early so had a glass of champers on the terrace which was well heated and perfectly thought out. Our waiter was exceptional recommending not just a fabulous champagne but also our meal wine.
Served with personality and passion or meal ( truffle fondue and a charcuterie board) was sublime. A beautiful smokey red was paired with it and we were treated like we were the only people there. Exceptional doesn't really do this place justice, it's an incredible experience and you will find very reasonable.
The atmosphere was elegant and almost like we were in some kind of fairytale. Very grammable!
Thank you to all the staff and particularly our waiter who didn't leave his name but he will know! Enjoy your mum's bday in Jan, and thanks again!
We will be back, very soon!
N. P.
Such a beautiful place! Absolutely loved it here. Excellent customer service and the food is amazing.
O. C.
Had to wait few weeks to get a table but we had a great Sunday brunch. Absolutely beautiful winter decorations. The service was good and quick. Staff are very accommodating. Must try the French toast!
T. P.
What a lovely afternoon lunch at Dalloway Terrace, both cocktails, food and service was outstanding!
r. n.
Really nice food, thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian options and the table service was brilliant.
P. E.
The English tea was amazing. The lemon cake was out of this world. Exquisite. And John was really nice!
A. D.
Absolutely beautiful place and amazing service. The food is fantastic and the cocktails are great!
I took my mom for a dinner, that was the best decision ever!
Everyone there is very friendly and polite- Hovo was serving to our table. Everyone Hovo and all management around were making sure that all guests were happy and all was good. Thank you for unforgettable evening Giovanni and Hovo.
J. B.
Exceptional service and food. Highly reccommend
M. L.
I really loved it here. It's cosy and the decor is beautiful. Food is great. Service ace too.
M. R.
We had a great meal, sitting in the beautiful outdoors area of the Dalloway Terrace. The food was delicious and unpretentious – not just "instagrammable" – and the staff were warm, friendly, and all-round brilliant. Thank you.
J. R.
I’ve been to Dalloway Terrace for lunch and it is truly a hidden gem in London. They change the decor seasonally, but it won't disappoint you. It's elegant and definitely Instagram worthy. A huge thanks to the team at the Dalloway Terrace for providing memorable food, oustanding service and such a warm and relaxed atmosphere!

Great place, friendly staffs to have brunch with four legs friends 👍🏻 Instagram: @fyfy_toffy @dallowayterrace
Ν. Λ.
Great place! Majestic decoration, more than friendly waiters and welcoming environment. Hidden in the center and so worth going.
Y. Y.
Amazing food. Lovely atmosphere. Very helpful and kind staff. Very professional staff.
I. T.
Lovely outdoor terrace for an elegant afternoon tea, overall most enjoyable
E. H.
Beautiful decor and really high-quality food. Make a reservation! A bit of a fish smell but the service was top-notch.
R.
I think I found my favourite breakfast spot in London. Absolutely amazing, the staff, atmosphere and the food and definitely the pricing! Definitely recommend.
A. S.
This was my first time at the Dalloway Terrace and definitely not my last. I chose this place to celebrate my bestfriend's 27th birthday and we both had the most incredible time. From the moment we walked in, we both felt so welcomed by the Dalloway staff and our whole dinning experience was made truly special by our server Joe. He was so attentive with us and he went out of his way to treat us both like royalty. The food and drinks have arrived promptly and our meals were cooked to perfection. Joe's service was 10/10 and without him our experience at the Dalloway Terrace wouldn't have been the same. Thank you Joe and everyone at the Dalloway Terrace for making our day truly special.
R. Z.
Pretty place, lovely for Instagrammers. Good service and good ambiance. The food was quite nice. The portions are small though.
M. H.
Lovely setting, very accommodating staff and the food was very nice too (if a little expensive, but that’s to be expected)
M. N.
Amazing place for breakfast and brunch or just a coffee because the place it self looks beautiful.
S. G.
Beautiful decor and the most lovely service. Food was absolutely banging, definitely going to go back for those grilled tiger prawns and truffle fries. Reasonably priced. Wide variety of original cocktails served in some pretty cool glasses. Would recommend to anyone looking for an instagrammable brunch/ lunch or dinner place!
T. N.
Car here for dinner with two other guests and booked in advance. Staff are have their face covered with a visor, there are plenty of hand sanitizer stands around and the tables are appropriately distanced.
Ordered the arancini balls, grilled tiger prawns with chilli and mango and truffle parmesan fries. Food was delicious and tasted fresh. Loved the flavour of the prawns. Staff were very attentive.
The decor is beautiful, came here towards the evening and imagine it would be more stunning during the day. Really nice place for drinks or food.
B. L.
The setting and decor is lovely, and the service was great too. Unfortunately the food was average at best, and ridiculously overpriced. We ordered two cocktails each, both were very small for £15 and one tasted awfully. We also ordered the mushroom risotto which was bland, and the fish which lacked seasoning.
Overall, a nice place for some photos, but would not order food or alcoholic drinks from here again.
g. a.
Beautiful decor, amazing food. Definitely recommend
C. C.
Lovely food, amazing service, staff really helpful, quality of food was great, we were actually located in the Coral Room, but everything was perfect.
l. d. F.
Beautiful place. Beautiful afternoon tea. Customer service spot on. Well done.
M. S.
Real diamond in the (relative) rough of its immediate area. Beautiful venue and good set up for outdoor drinks/dining. The stunning Coral Room bar is worth a visit too.
N.
Beautiful hidden terrace, with great drinks and yummy food. Love the seasonal décor and menu.
M. K.
Pleasant and calm atmosphere with delicious taste are the words to describe Dalloway Terrace.
C. A.
Absolutely delicious
S. H.
I have been here many times pre COVID and decided to visit when lockdown was eased. It was my first experience eating out post lockdown and I was very impressed. Track and trace, face shields, sanitisers, thorough wipe downs between customers and everything was contactless. Drinks were also scrumptious! It was not too busy - I would recommend and definitely planning my next visit.
H. T.
Beautiful decor, good brunch menu. Staff was friendly.
J. K.
I went here for my birthday meal and my friends and family enjoyed it. The food was really good, but they had taken down the flowers in the patio which was disappointing. I chose this place specifically because I fell in love with the how the patio looks and even had an email exchange with a staff member where I requested for a table by the flowers. Was told I'll be seated on the patio but a table by the flower wall can't be guaranteed (first come first serve) which is fine, but would have appreciated being told that they were going to take down the flowers that day entirely, so I could book elsewhere since it was a special occasion and looked very bare in pictures. Otherwise nice restaurant. Would happily go back for food and service, but don't recommend for special occasions.
W.
What a relaxing and beautiful place to go for a weekend brunch! Lovely food, great service, beautiful surroundings. Will be back here when I next visit London! A must go to.
J. T.
Beautiful decor, food was good but slightly overpriced. However, service was slow.
B. R.
Such a lovely setting and great food. I celebrated my birthday here and couldn’t have asked for better service. The prawn main was delightful and I have to say the creme brûlée was the best I’ve had in London. Definitely worth it.
T. T.
Good food very comfortable eating outside in enclosed area in April
E. S.
Went tonight for my birthday and they were so lovely and sweet, will absolutely be coming back xxx
J. T.
Dalloway Terrace provided excellent customer service and drinks.
The gin martinis were terrific and we will definitely come back again.
The food wasn’t 10/10 but what was 10/10 was the fact I left my bag there and they literally ran down the road to give it back.
I’d recommend this place to anybody.
A. T.
London’s most instagrammable brunch! Great food excellent service
D. C.
What a lovely restaurant. I was greeted with pleasant service and appreciated their willingness to accommodate my friend and I while setting the expectation that another reservation was soon to follow.
The decor is absolutely stunning and the food tastes just as amazing as you would expect. The ambiance is relaxing and the exceptional service provided by the maitre d and the waitstaff is what has prompted me to give them a 5 star rating.
Perfect place for brunch/afternoon tea before or after your visit to the British Museum - which is just a short walk away.
U. M. F.
Lovely location, safe as its outdoors but still warm and cosy. Decorated beautifully for autumn /winter!
Really cute cakes and sandwiches, scones were brilliant.
Not full marks as you can probably get slightly better / more generous afternoon tea elsewhere. Plus we got shamed after my prego sister asked for a third refill on sandwiches 😂😂 didn't realise it wasn't unlimited, our waiter was nice about it though. Still the sandwiches were tiny, so expected better.
But would still recommend as the hotel itself is stunning! And the scones were actually nicer than alot of places.
j. k.
Just off the beaten track of central London, but walking distance to everywhere. They make great cocktails, what more do you need to know?
V. T.
Beautiful setting for a delicious afternoon tea - lovely selection of sandwiches, tea or coffee, scones & sweet treats. The cocktail bar is also gorgeous. The staff and service was just fantastic - I would highly recommend this venue and I would love to come back next time I'm in London.
A. A.
The decor was very pretty and cute. If you don’t book online you wont get a seat by the flowers. The food was enjoyable but nothing special. Tbh it was overpriced for what we actually received but understandable for the location. Overall a fairly enjoyable experience in a pretty location
l. a.
Joel provided my freinds and I a great service . Lovely scenery.
J. C.
Very beautiful interior, a place perfect for lunch or a drink. Lemon tart is amazing!
S. A.
Super friendly staff, delicious food and nice atmosphere!
B. B.
I made a booking for dinner for me and my friend as we were intrigued by their interior. And we were not disappointed about the place. The flowery inside looked absolutely stunning! The staff were very friendly, smiling all the time and attentive. We didn't have to wait long to be served. I ordered salmon and was greeted by a big piece and mash potatoes I had as a side were exactly what I needed. Would love to come back at some point.
C. L.
Amazing experience and the staff were incredible! They staff couldn't have been more accommodating to our group of six and made my friends hen do very special. Cannot wait to return!
C. P.
Food looked nice and the staff were friendly, definitely an interesting place to have a meal! The heaters are super hot so don't be worried about being cold, we had the opposite problem of being too hot! The service in the end was not on point which was a shame, even managed to drop two dishes which had to be remade.
S. S.
Had an amazing family meal for lunch and the service was superb, with each detail of menu explained with source of ingredients, and absolutely delicious food with fresh ingredients and fabulous presentation in a very relaxed terrace setting . Recommended
s. m.
Great atmosphere and great food! Really enjoyed eating here multiple times. The fondue was great and if you have any problems getting the cheese to melt the waiters always help you out. All the staff were very kind and helpful when needed. I really enjoyed the meals I ordered and had no complaints. Runs on the pricy side of restaurants.
C. W.
Good service and good environment ! But brunch did not give many choices!
D. H.
After many years of seeing this place I was blown away by how stunning it is (on every level) from the beautiful romantic décor which is charged every season to the delicious food and five star service Dalloway Terrace excels.
If you're looking for a unique and romantic date venue then definitely come here - I'll be coming back very soon!
O. K.
Love love love this place! Did was yummy but the ambiance was just so lovely!!
H. T.
Lovely staff who were great with our two young kids. Fresh oysters and delicious pasta. Comfortable but smart terrace. Top stuff.
V. H.
The Lane next to terrace is under construction.... oh god .. sitting in the room or lobby will definitely be a better idea lol
E. S.
We stayed at the hotel where Dalloway Terrace is. We verified when the afternoon tea is served, but were not noon notified that a reservation is required. We arrived late after when the place was almost empty and then were told they do not serve afternoon tea without a reservation. This was the unpleasant part. After that issue was set trough the hotel, everything was great. The service was very friendly and informative. The finger sandwiches, scones and cake were all very good and the setting and the atmosphere were pleasant. We were four people and all enjoyed this afternoon tea. The cost was £35 per person with unlimited refills of tea.
L. R.
I went once recently with a friend. It's a lovely restaurant, beautiful (fake) flowers all around (Instagram hit!) friendly and helpful staff. The food was quite nice. We had brunch. I will definitely go back with family and try something else on the menu.
P. H.
Wonderful service. Wonderful cocktails. Wonderful food.
L. F.
Came here with friends and had a sparkling wine afternoon tea. They dressed the terrace up beautifully for winter. The food was excellent, great selection although, like most teas, it could have done with less sweet and more savoury tiers. Not as expensive as it looked or felt either.
A. L.
A really nice surprise to see that the quality of their food is matching, if not exceeding the prices. I had the blueberry pancakes which were a delight. My friend had the salmon and she reckoned it was among the best she's had. The place was cosy and warm, the servers were really polite and friendly. Down one star for the crammed feeling you get while being in there.
C. C.
Great food, lovely atmosphere, mediocre service. I had a 6:30pm reservation but arrived early around 4pm due to a change in plans. The hostess was very sweet and accommodating in seating me early, and was so pleasant. However upon being seated, I sat nearly 15 minutes before being greeted by a server. I noticed the few other tables around me were also waiting for service or were clearly done with their meal and waiting to see a server. I ordered the butternut squash risotto, which was absolutely delicious and cozy, perfect for the chilly evening. I also ordered a glass of red wine and a glass of champagne but was not offered any wine recommendations by the server, who did not seem very well-versed in the restaurant’s beverage list. I had the apple tarte tatin for dessert, which was a bit avant-garde in presentation but mediocre in flavor. I waited quite some time for the server to finally come back so I could ask for my check. The whole process was a bit awkward with friendly but inattentive service. The holiday decorations were quite lovely, but honestly looked better on Instagram. It was a nice experience one time but I don’t think I would come back.
S. M.
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful and our waiter was really friendly, however it took FOREVER to get our drinks, even just water for the table took a long time.
I had the Caeser salad for my main and there was a distinct lack of Caeser sauce... effectively making it £16 for a bowl of lettuce and maybe 1/4 of a chicken breast.
The setting and service has redeemed the place though - I think they're probably better with brunch or afternoon tea...
T. R.
Fabulous light meal. Great ambience. One criticism meal menu prices did not reflect the actual prices.
R. W.
Gorgeous ambience, great for couples and small groups of friends. Great seafood selection.
N. C.
The Dalloway Terrace was the perfect setting for a brunch catch up with my girlfriends. It has a vibrant floral atmosphere so it's enjoyable to stay there even when it's grey skies out. The food was terrific and the service was warm and attentive. I definitely will visit again when I'm back in London!
T. B.
The Dalloway Terrace was a gorgeous venue, they have certainly paid their florists! I took my lovely girlfriend for a post-lockdown birthday celebration and it didn't disappoint.
Firstly they have QR coded menus now to cut down on disposables from Covid, accessing was really easy but might comes as a mild shock to a technophobe.
The cocktails were delicious, we tried the Heathcliffe, Play the Pyramid, Garden Party and Chesire Punch cocktails. The whiskey based cocktails were punchy and had great flavour.
We then got a little peckish and had the Panzanella and Endive and Pear salads. Both were delicious although the Cashel Blue cheese on the Endive Salad won hands down.
Altogether a delicious and slightly pretentious meal to take someone somewhere fancy for an afternoon.
Service was fine, post covid everyone was wearing face masks, was a little slower than what i remember dining was but I can't complain at all.
If i could change anything it would be the price, it's a little on the expensive side.
4 stars because i'm now a really experienced review writer thanks to google.
M. C.
Such a very nice and cosy place. We discovered this restaurant for the Valentine's day. The food and service were excellent. We tried the scallops and smoked salmon as starters and the truffle fondue as a main : Delicious ! I definitely recommend this place !
A. A. C.
Absolutely perfect! My boyfriend took me there for pre valentine's day and it was amazing. We ordered the salmon and the daily fish and it was amazing. The place was also really nice and romantic. Perfect for couple dinners and with friends!
S. G.
Great friendly service and afternoon tea was amazing!
H. E.
The atmosphere and food was on point, but the best part of our evening out was Hovo’s fantastic service and kindness.
W.
I have been in search of good pancakes, for a long time and I finally found the best one in town at Dalloway Terrace!!! Light, fluffy with just the right amount of crisp and a delicious lemon curd served with fresh berries and crispy bacon. It does not stop there, they also make the most delicious truffle fries and eggs Benedict which reconciled me with Hollandaise sauce. We were on a bit of a splurge and also had the Acai bowl which was very good but a bit on the sweet side for me.
We literally cannot wait to go back to try the rest of the menu and take more pictures in front of the stunning flower wall.

Dalloway Terrace, London (24/50)
.
With the weather moving from English grey to summer blue al-fresco options are the ones to go for. One of them is Dalloway Terrace at the Bloomsbury Hotel.
.
Atmosphere: two-storied terrace with beautiful flower decor. Upper one covered by roofs/awnings, the lower part fully open (preferred option weather permitting). Bistro-style furniture with an overall laid-back feeling. View only into the courtyard and towards neighboring rooftops. (6/10).
.
Crowd: pretty mixed - afternoon casual with jeans and sneakers, espadrilles etc. Dinner crowd slightly more formal. Optics not a priority here, so you can be relaxed about dress code etc. (5/10)
.
Food: typical “hotel” fare, which means ok but soulless. Went for a wider selection of starters. Crab 🦀 toast mediocre and overpriced. Asparagus (small portion) covered by poached egg felt more like a breakfast option. Chicken skewers slightly undercooked covered fully in a pretty acid red sauce. Sliders ok with a lot of mustard sauce. Croquettes ok, lemon mayonnaise already dry on the edges. Overall significant room for improvement (4/10).
.
Drinks: No Coke Zero on offer (another one). Virgin Mary first flooded with ice, then upon return drinkable, but no celery or any other “decorative” feature. Did not review wine list as we weren’t offered one ;-)). So a neutral (5/10).
.
Service: attentive, but slightly pushy. Initially pleasant, funny waitress with colorful fingernails. Afterwards more stuffy approach. Absolutely no smoking or vaping allowed on an outdoor terrace is a big turn-off. Overall did not feel too welcome there. So quickly went on to greener pastures. (4/10)

I was extremely pleased with the service that i received. I am allergic to yeast & nuts, when I asked the staff for recommendations on what to eat they were extremely helpful and gave me their full attention. The atmosphere and food is amazing and definitely instagrammable! Overall, I was very happy with everything and would definitely recommend!
E. J.
The bar is beautiful and the terrace is nicely decorated. Food was delicious, wine great and lovely that they accommodate for coeliacs. It was a little chilly in the garden when we were there so they could try to cover it up a bit more in the winter. Still great service and lovely staff.
Y. Ö.
Beautiful place in a great location and fantastic service and food! A must go if you are in London!
S. L. M.
So my girlfriend took me to breakfast at this nice little restaurant on a sidestreet hidden away from public view. Superb selection on the breakfast and smoothie menu. Felt like ordering everything. To top it all of, we received excellent service from a Dutch gentleman by the name of Sjoerd! We will definitely return! Cheers and keep up the good work!// Regards - Steve

Hotel is lovely, terrace looks pretty and v polite server with fast service. However Flowers are plastic so felt v fake just for the insta crowd. Food was average and not cheap - oh and my fish was cold. Not best London dining!
N. A.
The service was exquisite. Beautiful desserts.
S.
One of the best pancake places in London - fluffy pancakes I must add!!
T.
I've been here twice, once for lunch and once for afternoon tea. Food is nice but the service and atmosphere could be a little better. The restaurant is fairly small and seating is outdoors (Terrace). Would recommend Dalloway Terrace to anyone who hasn't been.
S. S.
Went there for Afternoon Tea, Amazing Customer Service.
E. C.
My best friend booked this venue in celebration of my engagement. It was absolutely spectacular, with the walls covered by flowers. The service was superb and the food was divine. Will definitely return next time I am in London.
O. A. C.
Lovely atmosphere, lovely food. One of my fav place in London.
S. K. K.
Decor and staff were nice. Main meal was ok - I think I was expecting more. I really enjoyed the chocolate and coconut pannacotta but I can imagine it's an acquired taste. My friend really liked the creme brulee. Overall I would say 3.5 stars
E. R.
Very overpriced for what it is - the food is fairly average and it's full of posing Insta girls. £29.50 for brunch is a lot when you can yet a much better experience elsewhere.
S. M.
Nice afternoon tea, but not the best
a. e.
Had a wonderful evening. Hovo was very kind and looked after us, food was delicious- lovely atmosphere.

Lovely brunch. Highly recommended. Still dreaming about the shakshouka ❤️

Great brunch menu, really filling and delish! The staff were attentive even when it got busy
D. B.
The place is lovely the staff is friendly, I can’t lied I went there for the decor once with friends the second time with my kids. The fall decor is amazing. I will recommend more the lunch than the brunch as there is more option.
S. A.
Great atmosphere and service. The chef of the evening came and introduced himself to the table and introduced the black jersey butter which was fantastic! Love attending Dalloway terrace for afternoon tea with girls to catch up.
M. H.
Enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea on the Terrace as a birthday treat for a friend. Very pretty with the wall of flowers etc, just could have done with being slightly more sheltered on such a (very rare!) super sunny day. Other than that, it was perfect!
M. F.
My friend and I came here for a post-theatre afternoon tea, which transitioned seamlessly into cocktails at the adjoining Coral Room. Overall we had a lovely time: the terrace restaurant has been transformed into a sparkling and tastefully over-the-top winter wonderland for the holidays, with plenty of blankets, sheepskins and faux fur pillows to keep out the chill. We were greeted warmly at the entrance and had wonderful service throughout.
Less emphasis is placed on the tea itself here (other venues describe and recommend teas the way a sommelier recommends wine), but we came for the food: Great British Bake Off winner Candice Brown created the menu, so we were eager to sample her confections.
The cardamom orange scones were perfection and the cakes were delicious: the grown-up in me loved the delicate and exciting balance of flavors in the lemon-poppyseed drizzle cake, but my inner kid went wild over the peanut butter and jelly profiteroles, which I hope they'll make a permanent fixture on their tea menu.
What could be improved are the sandwiches: despite their intriguing-sounding ingredients, such as chorizo and beet-cured salmon, they still managed to taste a bit bland and stale. I enjoyed the smoked haddock tart, however.
After tea, masterfully mixed cocktails at the adjoining Coral Room brought our girls' day to a fun and classy finish. A band playing what sounded like 1930s jazz complemented the grand, vintage design perfectly.
M. J. M.
Overall a lovely dining experience with attentive staff and great food. Would definitely go back.

Pre-theatre dinner and birthday meal. Service was acceptable and the food was ok. Presentation was good. Happy to have been and visited the Terrace restaurant. There is quite a bit of scaffolding at the moment that can be seen attached to the building next to the Terrace due to ongoing work. I am sure it will be excellent when this work is completed.

It's a hotel bar, rebranded. Lovely staff & food but no views with speaking of. Best abandon the terrace for the Coral Bar - beautifully restored 30s bar in a mind-blowing shade of pink with mother of pearl chandeliers. They mix a mean Negroni.

Came here for brunch on a Saturday, really lovely little place and food was decent.
C. C.
Good food, but expensive. Nice ambience though - you get what you pay for.
B. D.
Really fancy feeling restaurant, small and intimate though. Food was amazing. All syaff were very professional and nice. Alejandro was our waiter and he was very nice and gave great service!
J. W.
Very good service in a nice setting. I appreciated the fact that they didn’t try to rush out once we finished our food. Missed out on the final star purely due to the yolk not being runny on the poached eggs.
S. T.
Beautiful venue with very helpful and attentive staff. The food is pretty much okay, but its the setting and decorations that really make this a special place to have a meal.
Y. A.
Excellent food - we were greeted at the entrance, our orders were taken and the food tasted incredible and clean - fresh and full of flavour. The interior is breathtakingly beautiful. Definitely worth a visit!
H. E.
Absolutely charming venue, spent a wonderful afternoon of cocktails and dinner with my daughter
Superb service (thank you, Joel)
Looking forward to doing it all again!

I came here for my 63rd birthday...a late lunch with my husband to fit in with our work. We sat in the loung area and were delighted with everything....decor, service, ambiance, wine, chairs, table settings...and above all by the food. It was excellent.
C. B.
Staff were so friendly, attentive and quick with any questions. Food and drink both great and it is so beautiful there!
Д. А.
Food is not that great but the atmosphere is extremely cozy.
M. A.
Nice place and atmosphere. Obviously attracts many posh people but thats okay.
B. L.
Went for afternoon tea - lovely floral decorations but food was subpar. Scones were extremely dry and the sweet potato dessert tasted like pure sugar.
S. B.
Very good service. The food is slightly more on the pricy side but it is totally worth it. Tastes amazing and the portion sizes were a good size. Overall it was super! Definitely going back!
J. A. G.
They were lovely. Great location and place
A. S.
As this is one of very few outdoor dining spots in London, I'm surprised it's not always fully booked. Always on point with the food and cocktails - not to mention the highest quality customer service.
Highly recommend.
W. B.
Very hospitable and attentive service. Sommelier was friendly and happy to chat about the wine list.
J. O.
Great service! Especially Alejandro was very nice, subtle and on top of things. Food was great too and the decoration.. simply amazing and incredibly romantic!
C. R.
Fabulous night at the Dalloway Terrace restaurant. Food and cocktails were incredible, it's such a hidden gem in London! Service was excellent and the terrace restaurant was stunning. Will definitely be returning. Thanks x x
K. M. G.
I went here with a friend for a girly dinner last night. The venue and hotel are beautiful. We sat in the outside terrace and heaters were on and we were under cosy Foxford blankets! The food is tasty but maybe slightly overpriced for the portion size hence the 4 stars!
A. B.
Food was okay, slightly overpriced and really long waiting times
M. A.
Beautiful setting and ambience. The food was tasty but could have had more flavour and less salt. Service was very attentive.
A. M.
Really lovely, outdoors but with a gazebo so if it rains no problem! Staff were INCREDIBLE, so attentive and polite.
J. L.
Good cocktails. The food was nice, but a bit overpriced if I'm honest. The setting was lovely.
J. B.
I think this must be the most Instagramable restaurant. But it's not hard to see we why. A stunning Terrence that changes every season. Great food, friendly staff and reasonable price.
K. L.
I had a wonderful experience here, the food is amazing, the service professional and the environment and ambience is so special
S. S.
A truly hidden gem, just behind the Dominion Theatre and seconds from Tottenham Court Road tube station. Tucked away down a quiet side-street, The Bloomsbury have done a stunning job of creating an intimate, Mediterranean atmosphere a stone's throw from the busiest street in Europe.
The pièce de résistance... free live jazz Wednesday - Saturday evenings from 7-10pm. A perfect venue for a first date or special occasion, but any excuse just for a drink will do really. I really love this place.
EDIT (Oct 2017): Jazz is now 8-11pm, Thursday and Friday only.
If my review was helpful to you, please give me a thumbs up 👍🏼 Thanks!

Amazing brunch!!

Probably the best pancakes I have eaten in London! Both the bacon ones and the berry ones were amazing! Highly recommend!
M. M.
Loved it for afternoon tea although the food was slightly stale. Esp curry chicken salad. Lovely terrace with plants and flowers all around (some fake).
T. C.
Lovely restaurant with fantastic atmosphere. Staff wonderfully attentive and friendly, and food and drink as good as you would hope for the price. A haven of tranquility in central London
J. W.
Lovely terrace. Excellent service hence pricey drinks but all worth it!
Y. V. A.

Staying in the hotle itself first class and drinks are amazing 👏
L. A.
Beautiful place, lovely food and drink. However I've had better service from staff in less expensive establiments.
C. A.
Had a great afternoon tea lovely food and great service...Will definitely come back.
L. P.
Beautiful food, service and of course decor!
D. L.
Good restaurant, fairly opulent, nice floral wall. Quite expensive, £25 and up for a main.

We was expecting the brunch but missed it, so we ordered the Pan fried cod and Lobster & crayfish mac’n’chess, Pan fried Cod was really delicious! And the bill must be the most beautiful bill I have ever seen, hahaha
A. Y.
Great service and unique posh atmosphere but for the price the food and wine are not a steal. Also make sure to reserve well in advance for nice terrace seating.
M. S.
5 stars all round, absolutely loved it here, the staff are so attentive and polite as well as friendly.
The food is amazing and the atmosphere is to.
Thanks guys
R. T.
Love the ambiance and the waiter was very helpful. But I thought their asian specialty menu could use a bit more spice 😅
I. D.
It's a very Instagrammable place. The service and menu were not memorable, but not bad - the impact is in the decor. Their cocktail bar was nice
J. M.
The food was first class with an amazing choice from the terrace menu. The staff of the Daloway were very attentive and lovely. I'll go there again!
J. B. A.
I really love this place.i just came to try the afternoon tea, it was good.
I will come again to try the breakfast menu.
Out door Decorations very nice.
W. A.
Cozy place with friendly staff. The taste was slightly above average but not that’s fantastic. It s worth to visit for coffee and breakfast.
N. M.
Great place! Very nice atmosphere and great place for a brunch. Just Acai bowl was way too sweet. For the rest, definitely a place to go!
J. A.
Below average food at a higher prices! Although the service and setting was fantastic, especially during a cold wet winter evening, the food let it down tremendously.
A. I.
Food was decent nice coffee and pancakes but service not good main person on the till was rude and trying to be nice too came 15mins late and becane such a big deal. Don't understand such a big place running on so many followers but can't even to the littlest things such as having God customer service main priority skill
L. H.
Really like it here. Lovely food. Nice place to sit and very warm thanks to the shelter you get and the heaters. Not five stars as it is overpriced by a fair bit for me.
M. S.
The best bar in London. Drinks are sooo good and service is extremely nice. They have a simple but sufficient menu for food.
N. C.
Service was great, but food and drink is overpriced for what you get and a bit underwhelming.
M. K.
Food was good. They had beautiful terrace.
Please wait reception, if not your table can be in the corner.
L. C.

V. S.
The best! delicious food, amazing service and the atmosphere just perfect. One of my favourite spots in London for sure.
S.
Afternoon tea is overhyped from the Instagram influences. Service on the terrace is subpar. Your time would be better spent inside the gorgeous the Gatsby-esque Coral Room.
w. s.
good restaurant very elegant and clean but prices are too high for the portions.the machiatto came in a espresso cup and was only up to a half for £4.45
A. L.
Amazing terrace with great cocktails and great food.
On the expensive side, but for this kind of quality and service, location and the amazing terrace it's well worth it.
V. M.
