STOP WHATEVER IT IS THAT YOU'RE DOING. This pizza right here has been the best thing I've had in months! I have tried different deep-dish pizzas in London but THIS?! Wow. Done by (what I think was) and all-American staff, the pizza has a crunchy crust-bottom that will make you drool and want more over and over again. I tried the Cadillac one without peppers and with marinara sauce on top, ordered a regular size and could only have 3 slices (last one was for takeaway for that midnight crave). My partner had a Supreme, also regular size. His opinion was that the ground beef doesn't add much (but that might be personal). I tried it and found nothing wrong with it, it was absolutely amazing. The olives, the beef, the sauce, everything. The place was quite full, we went for dinner on a Saturday around 7.30ish, the waiting time is slightly long but I promise you every minute will be worth it. Hope things keep going well for them because it's nice to have different ways of having pizza around here. Only downside for me is that it was slightly oversalted, but this didn't get on my way of absolutely devouring it. Staff was really friendly and approachable and happy to give recommendations of you get indecisive.

Fantastic pizzas. One regular size is ideal for one hungry person. My red stripe pizza was £9.99 and it was worth every penny. Can't wait to return. Staff were all really friendly too and clearly take pride in what they're making.

What can I say about this pizza. One of the best I've had in London! The hype is definitely worth it! We were lucky to be introduced to Detroit Pizza when we were visiting a friend's place who lives nearby their old location in Battersea and we're so glad we did. I don't usually like very thick base pizzas and I've had a Chicago Deep Dish Pizza when I was travelling in the USA but found it way too heavy. But these Detroit Pizzas don't feel heavy. The dough is light and airy but crunchy on the outside (but not burnt). This regular size Red Stripe I ordered with extra forest mushrooms is basically two meals for me, because two pieces is very filling. The sauce is tasty and I love that they give a decent amount of sauce to make sure you're not just tasting pizza dough and I was also pleasantly surprised with the amount of full mushrooms they added, usually when you add extra toppings I've found other places to be super stingy so definitely felt that I got my £2 worth. My hubby had the Detroit and loved it too. We were so excited to eat this again we just parked nearby and ate it in our car fresh from their old location. Would highly recommend this pizza and would definitely make the effort of going to visit them on the other side of the city. Keep up the good work 👍🏼

I love this deep dish, light, cheesy pizza! And this is coming from an Italian who loves Neapolitan pizza! Tried two types so far, the Red Stripe and the Tuscan and loved both. Going to work my way through all of them but will draw the line at the Maui Wowie. Pineapple on pizza? Never! 😊

MY FAVOURITE PIZZA IN LONDON I’m biased - being from Chicago, I have Chicago pizza in my veins 😆 But hands down, this is the BEST deep pan pizza in London I’ve had. I thought I met my soul mate when I met my husband but it turns out I was wrong. My soulmate is Detroit Pizza and I am confident that I will never change my mind. Pizza is huge and wayyy too much food - is this a con? No. Because you can take the rest home and have it for breakfast meaning you can enjoy the beauty of it once again within less than 24 hours. Do potatoes belong on pizza? Yes. Does pineapple? Yes. With jalapenos? Hell yes. Is the draft beer here also great? Yes, yes it is. I am very excited to frequent this establishment for as long as the lovely Canadian men who run the place grace us with their presence. And to the guy who told my colleague it was too much food and made him feel icky, you're dumb and just need to control your portions so stop putting people off!!

Very good pizza with a nice beer selection. The Muai Wowey (pineapple and smoked bacon were the main toppings) was delicious while my girlfriend preferred the Detroit which was a little spicy for me. WOW. We got recommended this place and it did not disappoint. Amazing friendly service from the guy in there, it had a wide menu and was well priced. Super friendly guys, great service. Cater to vegans and have their own cheese blend which was seriously like the real thing, I haven't had one like that before. Pizza was a home-run. Best I've had in London, and best vegan by far. The crust is stiff with the cheese and has a buttery crisp, the dough is fluffy and light, the sauce was rich and tangy. Every aspect of it has been obviously tuned and refined with a lot of care. Not your average, you won't be disappointed.

Honestly my favorite food in london. 12/10 stars. The best part is the crunchy cheese crust. Takes a little bit of time to get used to the sweetness of the pizza. Get the Detroit style and ranch dressing. The price is below 20 pounds but enough food for 2 meals. As a native Detroiter I’ve always missed having legitimate Detroit style pizza in London…well no longer! This is the best pizza in London I’ve had in years and I think it might actually be better than what I grew up with in Detroit! First time eating at Detroit pizza. Usually accustomed to Italian style but this American deep pan is in it’s own league. Very light and fluffy dough despite it’s thickness with crispy melted cheese edges makes every bite satisfying. Textural heaven. I must say the fist time we went we weren’t impressed, but after giving it a second chance we are soo glad we did! We are from metro Detroit and were so excited to try this as Detroit style is my Husband’s favourite and he’s been missing it. The pizza was tasty and well done but the crust is just not truly Detroit style as it was too spongey, but I liked that it was less greasy and the crispy cheese is a welcome addition! The bbq sauce is awesome Midwest sauce, but the ranch was a miss. Their Detroit ranch is not like any ranch I ever ever had in all of America soo if your looking for American ranch this won’t satisfy, buy the hot sauce was awesome as well!

I am a Detroit girl, born and raised, and this is the real deal. Way to go! Crispy cheese and slightly dark pepperoni and almost fluffy inside- yum! As a bit of a pizza lover, I thought I would give this a go as I have never tried Detroit Style Pizza. It was really good, has a deep pan base, really crunchy sides in the pizza base, great sauce and a generous amount of toppings.

Best deep dish in London. We walked to the arches to order at the door and the staff were super nice and helpful with recommendations. The cheese goes right to the edge, so rather than a bread crust you get a crispy cheesy last bite. Went for classic pepperoni and texas bbq. The burnt ends of the texas bbq topped it as the favourite.

I came because I show this place on Instagram and worths every penny. It's a completely different concept, very nicely done and with very fresh ingredients. 100% you will get full with the regular size, if not you should go on a diet. Best pizza I have had in my entire life! I've been all around the world (South Africa, USA, UK, France, Netherlands, Spain) and tried multiple pizzas wherever I go. I'm not from the UK and came into Battersea for a meeting. I felt like pizza and I had seen the tiny sign down an alleyway on my way to my hotel. I found it a bit weird but I thought I'd give it a try. Wow, wow, wow! What an experience. Not usually a fan of thick base pizzas but this was like nothing I had ever had before. Soft, light and crunchy, accompanied with a perfect cheese skirt. We ordered a Large Tuscan and a Regular Detroit (as I'm vegetarian we swapped out the Pepperoni for mushrooms) and to our complete surprise the man on the other side of the phone decided to upgrade both of them to large. We couldn't finish them but we definitely plan to in the morning. 15/10 would recommend to anyone in the area

I REALLY want to like this place - nice American style pizza and really friendly staff but they have some organisational issues that caused a very strange experience last night: Ordered a delivery from here to a nearby brewery, was slightly unpleasantly surprised to see after I had paid that the estimated delivery time was 90 mins away. I was further surprised when I discovered sometime later from the order tracking that my pizza was being delivered to Stratford despite me and the pizza makers being less than a mile apart in Battersea and my order confirmation having the right postcode on it. I called them and they were very apologetic, and offered to remake the pizza although they did ask whether I would pick it up instead of having it delivered. I had paid ~£8 for delivery and was comfortable at the brewery so was not delighted with this offer but accepted it nonetheless. Picked up the pizza on my way home from the brewery and took it home which is when I discovered that they had made the wrong one. Too hungry by this point to do anything about it so just ate it and went to bed. Overall: good pizza, nice staff, shambolic everything else.

They have the best ranch dressing I’ve ever had in my life - super fresh and herby. The hot sauce is so fresh too!! Ryan, the owner, has always been super friendly and accommodating - I wanted to buy some pizza for my birthday and I was just outside of the delivery radius and he extended it for me! Pretty sure this is the only place to get Detroit style pizza in all of London, and even if I'm wrong on that, there's no way anything else is better than this! Personally, I believe that this is the best kind of pizza there is (sorry, Italians) and these guys give it the royal treatment. For those who show up at the address looking perplexed, just ring the buzzer and they'll come to the door and take your order. It's not a restaurant per se, they only do takeaway. 10 minutes wait though, and you'll be on your way!

Under the railway arch on a rainy Sunday afternoon I press the buzzer. It was like an entry to an underground Berlin nightclub. The door opens and I am greeted by the smile and enthusiasm of a young lady - not quite the German bouncer. I order the 'Detroit'. "Great choice, it will 8 minutes whilst we bake it fresh for you" she tells me in that anything is achievable American accent. Sure enough in 8 minutes or so the door opens again, only this time with a warm bottomed box. I loiter around the arches to eat, I have no patience to wait. I unveil the plentiful pizza from the steaming box. The concept of sourdough has been fermented into Londoners for many years now, as has the authentic Neopolitan pizza. This however is an innovative and brave entry into the London pizza scene. The sourdough is thick yet light, perfect to soak in the rick tomato sauce. The Detroit was a carnival of flavours, from the salty pepperoni to the tongue tingling jalapeno comforted by the sweet glaze. All of this was supported by the molten cliff edges of a cheesy crust. I was reminded of the 80's love for deep pan pizza, but the only thing was that those pizza's were heavy enough to tranquilize a rhino! This concept keeps the good qualities of those days, but pushes the scene forward in ways that variety hungry Londoners will be left salivating for. Well done for showing up!

From a fellow American to Detroit Pizza...THANK YOU FOR EXISTING! Reminds me of flavors from home. (Sidenote for all those considering: My favorites so far are the Cheeseburger and Cadillac!) Overall the best pizza I've ever had whenever I want pizza this is the place that I will always go to great friendly service an everything fresh from the sourdough to the last topping forget the rest. 100% recommended 🙌

Having grown up in the Detroit area I was absolutely ecstatic to find this place in my delivery zone. Excellent representation of the Detroit style pizza (or just "pizza" as it's known in Detroit). The crust is perfectly crunchy and toppings are great quality. If you've never had this style before give it a go. Never thought I'd find anything like it in London. The only thing that would complete the experience would be some Vernor's ginger ale on the menu, but hey, you can't have it all.

The delicious sourdough, the pork, the crispy pickled crispy veg and fresh herbs - it’s the flavours of your two favourite takeaways in perfect harmony. Visiting Battersea Park? You need to grab your lunch from here! Awesome Detroit-style pizza with a deep (but light) crust and crispy cheese all around the edges (as well as on top!). It's a style you hardly see at all in the UK but is super-popular in the US and is well worth a try. Top-notch ingredients too. You can pre-order (which we did) and ate in the park. I think they deliver but we're from a different part of London

I used to say that London was a terrible place when it came to pizza but Detroit Pizza LDN is one of many newer places on the scene steadily reversing that reputation. Detroit Pizza serve up their namesake style of pizza out of a literal hole in the wall in Battersea making it a true hidden gem. The staff were generous, kind and proactive, and even offered to let me try one or two of their signature sauces (the chili sauce was super good!) Thank you to the kind lady who offered them to me ! For those unfamiliar with the style, Detroit Style is thick and full of toppings almost like a Chicago style, but with a caramelised cheesy crust on a base that is super fluffy like a Roman style. The only downside is the price, its a little higher in pricepoint than your average pizza place, and whilst the servings look small, the thickness of the pizza and dense bread will still allow a regular size to fill up one or two people ! Besides, you can truly taste that a large amount of care has been put into the preparation and the ingredients are super fresh. I look forward to ordering again (although its a little far) and trying something else from the menu.

Love the pizzas, incredibly flavours, the dough is a bit like a crunchy focaccia. the cheeseburger is like a Big Mac, only better! The Detroit is super yummy. And they taste great even the next day out of the fridge.
