Unfortunately this place seems to have gone downhill since my last visit. I have met up here with friends on many occasions and always been 100% happy when I left. However things have changed. Whereas it used to be possible to get a jug of beer to share, you now have to spend nearly £6 for a 330ml can. The food portions seem to be smaller as well, specifically the fries and gravy. Then to top things off while we were sitting having a chat with our drinks after we’d finished eating we were asked two or three times if we wanted anything else or just the bill. If the place had been busy I could understand the rush to get us out, but as it wasn’t it just annoyed us and made us leave. If we hadn’t been badgered we would have got their lovely shakes. We’ll be finding somewhere new for our get togethers.

Best burger I’ve had in the UK hands down. The restaurant is small so would strongly recommend booking a table. It was a little busy but once our order was taken service was quick. The classic dip and flip burger was amazing! All the right flavours and garnishes were present. All the sides, chicken burger and even milkshakes were to die for. Honestly can’t believe we’ve found such a local gem!

One of THE BEST BURGERS IN LONDON. Personally, I am not a big fan of the dipping part (I prefer my ones normal) but they are so mindblowingly and unexpectedly delicious. These pics simply don’t do it justice. The prices are also very reasonable and the burgers are big. Words cannot describe the level of deliciousness their burgers reach so I must encourage yo to try them asap! Their staff are always friendly and never had any issues with the place (visited here over a dozen times for the last year).

Really good and big burgers with a Gravy sauce to dip in. Tried with Lamb and Beef, both were very good. Be prepared to get dirty when eating! Fries were really good as well, both regular and sweet potato ones. Expect a good service and friendly staff as well.

5* for the staff service (especially Colleen). Ordered a buffalo wings which is supposed to be hot but it wasn't, when asked about it was told that I should have ordered something else and buffalo wings supposedly always taste like this even though I have eaten buffalo wings before and cried my tongue out. Staff Colleen was very friendly and understanding about what I was really asking, she managed to get the hot wings with extra fries and didn't charge me for it. She went extra mile to give the best, she really deserves the appreciation. Very thankful to her and sorry for being demanding 😢.

Very tasty food at great prices. But multiple times the restaurant doesn’t have the full advertised menu actually on offer. Imagine being told, “sorry, we don’t have the sandwich that is the namesake of the restaurant”. Or any of the similar sandwiches. All they sold those days were burgers, none of the “dips” with the gravy or roasted meat. Just “flips” AKA burgers. So we had a standard (“flip”) patty melt, and the loaded Bacon Cheese Chili fries are the best I’ve had in London in a long time.

Truly good comfort food, but nothing that will blow your mind! The gravy dipping seems a bit of a gimmick and avoid the cheesy chips in gravy (poutine).

Dip and Flip Wimbledon is a friendly spot for sandwiches, burgers and wings. Gravy is served as a side dip with just about everything! The Fried Chicken burger was superb, lovely thin chicken fillet served with a delicious coleslaw in a toasted brioche bun. The Korean BBQ wings & buffalo wings are also perfectly cooked and spiced to just the right level. Fries topped with American cheese were also good, personally they were a little undercooked but the abundance of melted cheese made up for this. Dip and Flip also has several beers on tap as well as offering a selection of reasonably priced whiskeys. Highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner meal.

The concept of having gravy beside your burger is insane, you may even dip the entire unit! Had a Beef burger with bacon and cheese alongside Lamb gravy, blew my mind away. Every time I'm in Wimbledon, this place is a must! Unreal! Recommend the Squeezy Cheezy Fries - maybe ask for only half to be covered though! Save some of those bad boys for the gravy!

A really great place if your a meat lover and like a burger, there are veggie alternatives too. I had the lamb roll / baguette with gravy on the side and squeezy cheesey chips which were lovely. No puddings which is why I gave it 4 stars. You can get milkshakes though. Staff are attentive. Its very clean, although the women's toilet was rather messy with tissue all over the floor. Good for a friends dinner out all in all 4 out of 5 stars.

It is a pretty good place and the meal even though it looks small it is quite filling. Prices are general mostthings come seperatly. The burgers tend to be pretty much the same size so you shoulden t feel obligated to buy the most expensive one thinking that its bigger because it is not. I had a Bacon double cheese burger and i have to say it was really good not soaked in oul either. The fries i got was jind of disapointing not fresh and they kind of stuck toghether. I have to say you must try their milkshakes they are much better than any drink that you can get there plus they are pretty much similar in price. Althoghether it was a pretty good experience and i recomend it for all.

This is what burgers should be! The dip m flip - perfectly cooked beef patty topped with roast lamb and a fried egg (optional) and a dipping bowl of gravy to make it extra juicy. I'd heard really good things about dip and flip but left feeling a little disappointed. I hope they were just having a bad day.. We (family of 5) arrived with a table reservation and were seated quickly, with the table freshly cleaned. The waitress said there were a number of items unavailable - most (or all - I don't quite recall) hot sandwiches, Korean wings and the lamb for the Dip & Flip burger - No problem I thought, there was still plenty else to choose from. We ordered our food and drinks, though no Rainbow Coleslaw, because that was also unavailable. A little while later, one of the waiters comes over to say that the vanilla milkshakes we ordered were unavailable as they had run out of vanilla ice cream - ordering replacements we just felt like it wasn't a good day to go. The waiter soon approached again, to say that the Cherry Bakewell hard shake we ordered was unavailable too for the same reason, no vanilla ice cream. Anyway, the food and drink came and it was alright. I heard great things about the Dip & Flip burger but found a pretty standard patty with a very thin slice of gravy dipped roast beef and too much american cheese. Speaking of the gravy, the dish that comes with the food seemed pretty instant. Like there was nothing special about it apart from the fact it was there. We all agreed the fries (normal and sweet potato) were the best part of the meal; good for the fries, bad for the burgers IMO, they should have been the show stopper. Given the Eat Out to Help Out scheme (50% off) we paid just over £40 and honestly, I don't think it was worth much more than that at full price.

Coming into this place didn't really think that it was going to be good, but thought i'd give it a whirl. Initially my son told me about the place having not found a decent burger joint in Wimbledon. Came in waitress was very friendly and polite and seated us promptly. My son ordered the bacon cheese burger, fries and an Oreo milkshake. Myself i ordered the roast beef burger. My son loved his burger and the milkshake was awesome. My roast beef burger was so delicious only one other place in London matches it. Literally the roast beef melts in your mouth. The fries were also surprisingly good. The service i got from the waitress was brilliant and spot on, definitely coming to this place again

Booked ahead but had a little wait as they'd forgotten to write down our reservation. The main guy in charge seemed rushed off his feet but was trying his best! The Dip & Flip burger, sweet potato fries, and Oreo milkshake were all tasty. Just a shame that the Oreo milkshakes are made from pre-blitzed Oreo biscuits rather than from fresh.

Arrived at approx 12:30 and was seated promptly. Had to not only scan the NHS track and trace but also complete paperwork with details. Ordered the Dip and Flip burger only to be told later that they didn't have either the slow cooked beef or lamb despite. Was then offered a beef pattie instead in it's place. it just wasn't the same and overall disppointing. When it came to the bill they tried charging for the dip and flip burger but this was quickly rectified when I said that wasn't what we received in the end. I was incredibly disappointed after previous visit and thought they did the best burgers. The best bit of the meal was the loaded fries with cheese and gravy. I do agree with some of the comments that the gravy is a little thin.

They even let me chill and do some admin on their WiFi when I’d finished eating, with no rush to get me out. It’s worth a stop. I think the only reason I didn’t give five stars is because the food wasn’t amazing - cheap and cheerful is the term (although the price will rack up as chips aren’t included with the burgers).

I’ve ordered from Dip & Flip both takeaway and eat-in twice in the last month and it’s been perfectly acceptable. The quality of the burger is much better than GBK and Five Guys. I really wish they’d get a can of WD40 (there’s a Robert Dyas fifty metres away) and give the toilet door hinges some lubricating. I f**king hate squeaky toilet doors.

Food was nice, I'd been looking forward to trying a French dip sandwich for a while and I wasn't disappointed. Service wasn't great, asked for the drinks menu to order a second drink and then no one came back to take our order. Then decided we may as well leave and it took a while to get the attention of someone so we could pay our bill. Not the end of the world though and I'd go back if I was in the area.

I love the food but I didn't have a great experience in this particular branch. The staff seemed preoccupied with doing their own thing and as a customer I felt pretty ignored. Their uniform also seemed to be just casual clothes with no name badge or apron or anything to identify them as staff, so that made it even harder to know who was actually working there. Not that the place can really help it but there are nearly always crying babies and noisy children in Dip & Flip's, even though I don't think the place is particularly geared or branded toward that. It's a shame because I do enjoy the gravy.

The best burger place in the area and one of the best in London. If you're going for the gravy dip expect a slightly reinvented burger concept that will make you long for your next visit. On top of a great menu, you get excellent service that seems to impress again and again, all on the backdrop of a playlist which won't disappoint. It can get messy though, hence the kitchen towel rolls on every table.

My husband and I love Dip & Flip! It’s 100% a niche & one of a kind burger joint, I can not recommend it highly enough. I wish there were more restaurants outside of London. They do great deals regularly, which are perfect for date night or first dates. There is something on the menu for everyone & the prices are really reasonable. Wow.... This place!!!! Ok so this place does chicken wings, sandwiches, burgers beer and bourbon. What ever you do don't under estimate it...... the simple things are done really well here the beef patties are made in store the gravy is cooked for 20 hours everything seems fresh and the staff are great. The flip and dip burger with lamb is an experience and the chips are epic. Dinner for two or twenty the place suits it all. The place just has vibe great tunes playing all day. Just go and have a great time!!!!

The sides were much bigger than they look in photos! And delicious. You can easily share one portion of either the Squeeze Cheesy Fries, or the Bacon, Cheese, Gravy, Green Chilli fries (we ordered both and had to take some of it home for later..!). I tried the Slow Roast Lamb flip & dip. I wanted to love it, but I just don't think ketchup and mustard go with lamb gravy. The roast lamb was delicious, but the burger was a teensy bit gristly, which I probably wouldn't have noticed if my tastebuds weren't feeling mildly assaulted by the sauce combination. There are other sauces on the menu for other things, so I do find it a bit weird that they don't use one of those as standard for this burger. It would be so delicious with something more complementary. I'd like to go back (the sides won me over), but will definitely not get the burger again :( Maybe a sandwich.

We have been making monthly trips to Dip & Flip in Wimbledon since it opened and it has arguably one of the best burgers in London. Wimbledon has many burger places all in a row, and Dip & Flip is the best. The Dip & Flip with lamb is fantastic - juicy, tasty and rich. The burger is big and the little boat of gravy is a fantastic addition. Two things of note, firstly, you always have to ask for more gravy, if not, you're doing it wrong. Secondly, if you have a beard, this is going to get messy. The service is always incredibly friendly and we love coming back time and again.

After hearing lots of wonderful things about their successful running at Clapham I was so excited to hear they have opened another branch in nearby Wimbledon, the highlight being the dipping gravy similar to the Canadian poutine. The venue is fairly small but there is plenty of seating. Staff are always very attentive, friendly and they also have a great selection of craft beers. I had the patty melt that was quite similar to a toasted sandwich but smaller than expected and fries with everything including cheese, bacon, gravy and chillis galore with definitely the yum factor. Will be back to try more of the menu on offer.
