Reviews of Dirty Bones Carnaby
Z. J.
Went on a Saturday around 3pm. It was busy but nonetheless the service wasn’t the best. Got seated and then no one came to take drinks or food order for 15 mins and we had to chase. Given 4 star because the food was great. Had the spicy chipotle chicken burger with fries which were crispy and fresh. We also tried the cheesy fries and one of us had the classic beef burger which I hear is also very good
C. H.
Mmmmmm perfect for a cheat day meal.
Cocktails & food were very flavoursome and you can tell effort has been put into the making.
Staff were super friendly and polite.
Only downside was they had sold out of a few things on the menu but that’s just an excuse for us to go back again!
M. C.
Was seated at our table straight away. Polite and efficient staff seen to our drink and food order in quick time. Food arrived at table and it didn’t disappoint. I settled for the ribs, as the short rib had sold out. Meat fell off the bone, and the sauce that was slathered on, was very nice.
D. W.
We obviously went for the cheesy souse burgers! That’s what this place is known for, however if you have a chance to go again, try different dishes from the menu, they looked amazing and the burgers were not that great, overcooked and quite dry even tho covered in cheese. I definitely had better burgers in London. I’d go again to try out more for sure.
g. u.
Really enjoyed the food here some.of the small plates were really tasty. The burger Goyza while sounding wrong was really tasty. The mutts nutts cocktail went down a treat also.
The Food came very quickly as did the drinks. The staff were very friendly and prompt with service. Would definitely go back.
E. S.
Had the pleasure of having a fantastic meal here today. Had the burger and chips. The burger itself was delicious had a gf bun which was ok for gf but the chips were absolutely devine. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Great meal. Great service. Great staff. Good priced food. 🙂👏👍
G. C.
Top burgers made with top ingredients, the macaroni balls were a hit starter and a good range of drinks. Buzzing covered courtyard seating available too. Service not the best but it was busy.
R. G.
Honestly, I would love to give 5 stars but the wait time was ridiculous. We waited over an hour for our starter, and didn't get our drinks until after the starters arrived. The food was incredible, definitely worth the wait.
T. F.
The mac n cheese burger was just so yummy, you should totally try it.
We also tried the wing’s which were pretty good and also the fries was delicious.
The place looks interesting I would rate it 8/10
The waiters were cool 10/10
You should totally try this place out :)

Food - banging
Service - very good
Staff - very nice
I’ve traveled here 2h, and it was definitely worth it. I manage a restaurant so I know a good place when I see one 😎😁
A. W.
Delicious food and great wine🍷😋 My team of 10 had a great time in Dirty Bones during our business brunch 🤗 The staff was friendly and approachable!
C. J.
Enjoyed my visit - I went because the burgers look incredible on Instagram and if I’m honest I was a little disappointed… I went for the burger topped with Mac and cheese… the mac was delicious but the burger was a little dry..
Would deffo go back - but maybe try something other than a burger.
Great for families with kids etc - quite a fun menu

Being from California, we take our burgers seriously. The Dirty Bones Reverse Truffle Cheeseburger with Skinny Fires did not disappoint. In fact, the notes of black garlic, truffle, and crispy onions were a perfect combination. Topped it off with a ice cold beer and a seat near the outside to people watch. One last thing, their bartenders definitely know what they are doing with their craft cocktails. I will add to that the amazing fact they even had a bottle of Eagle Rare Bourbon - hands down one of the best out their and hard to find, even in America. Great experience to remind me of home. Thanks Dirty Bones crew!
L.
Great general vibe, music and service. Toilets weren't great- quite dirty.
Food was good, some real standout dishes were the reverse truffle burger, the Southern donuts, the mac and cheese balls, the wings (very good) and the short rib. Unfortunately the fried chicken was a major letdown. It was moist but terribly bland- completely lacking seasoning. The ranch dip served with this and the starters however were nicely complimentary to the dishes. The loaded lamb fries were tasty however lacked an abundance of topping- not really too 'loaded' in any sense. They also failed to maintain their crispiness- quickly becoming rather soggy.
Not bad, but unfortunately a bit of a let down for a 18th birthday meal- it did not in essence prove particularly special or exceptional.
Once again, however, service was great and they provided a fun presentation of a birthday dessert.
P. H.
I had the steak which really good and cooked perfectly, my friends had the vegan burger which they said was great and very meat-like in texture. Mac and cheese and truffle fries also bang-on. Service was a little slow when it came to paying up though.
N. M.
Yum! Service was super fast which was ideal before the theatre. Very tasty, huge portions.
P. S.
We were grateful to find somewhere to eat on this busy December Sunday.
The greeting could be better "hey welcome, have you been here before etc", instead of "it's card only and you've got 1.5 hours max".
Once inside it is a little cramped but not too bad, the ambience, decor, cleanliness and music was great.
The choice of food slightly limited, but adequate unless you have kids. This place understandably wants to attract adults, we struggled to find anything plain on the menu for a 10yr old; there is no kids menu, we did ask (again "the chef can do...etc" would be good).
We saw two lots of 2x adults 2x kids sit down and then leave quickly after realising the menu had nothing for kids (assumption) whilst we were there. You're missing a trick.
However the waiter was accommodating when asked for a simple burger and unseasoned fries which suited.
Adults meals were brilliant! The burger cooked beautifully and the American cheese was lush.
American IPA is top notch too.
Service is slow, no one asked if meals were okay or if we wanted more drinks or desserts, which we would have had.
However, if out on the town with friends I'd return for the burger and beer again. Prices are reasonable.
S. C.
delicious truffle burguer and cozy place! some of the staff though are not so kind or helpful!
I definitively recommend to visit this carnaby square😉
P. P.
We were looking forward to trying Dirty Bones but unfortunately left disappointed. Although the burgers were good we thought there are better options out there for a similar price & the service on the night was below average (they seemed to have a lot of new staff). Won’t be returning.
M. G.
Partly disappointing. Nice meal, enjoyed the food & cocktails, but my son wanted a milk shake - we were told the barman didn’t have time as he was alone (to be fair not his fault). Our last visit was to the Kensington restaurant, my husband ordered Mac & Cheese to be told they had no cheese! 🤷♀️ Dirty Bones was fab pre Covid, just rather disappointing now - shame was a great place, but left disappointed on last two visits 😔
M. j.
Great food and a great place. Loved the chicken and waffles.
M. M.
Had the Mac Daddy for lunch - great burger, great service, great time! Thanks Dirty Bones team!
E. v. d. l.
It was fine.
Quite a long wait to be served.
Food was decent but on the expensive side of things.
Beer tab not functional and the canned beer available almost twice the price considering volume.
A. H.
Love the food, not sure if its worth the price though.
Sadly on each occasion I've gone to Dirty Bones it's been a struggle to get a staff members attention, like I'm being ignored.
Might try a megaphone and flashing lights next time.
C. S.
Yesssssss! Food was dirty and absolutely delicious. I had the chicken and waffles (could have eaten it all over again!) and the truffle fries, which were gorgeous. Other half had the lamb fries and the cheeseburger dumplings, and said they were delicious. Service was excellent. We'll be back if we're in the area!
J. S.
Food ok, lively inside. Just poor service. Waitresses did not ask if everything OK and didn't bring table water when asked or cutlery with our puddings. Would recommend but don't expect great service.
R. V.
What a lovely find.
A food court with a great selection for anyone. Dirty bones was a comfortable experience for us. A nice atmosphere, great food, amazing cocktails and local beer. Recommended: value for money & friendly service (what is unique in London)
M. S.
Amazing food, great atmosphere, cool location. Very friendly staff. Best to book if you don't want to wait or go at quiet times. The burgers are fabulous. Huge portions though so easy to over order. Cocktails are really good.
G. W.
Chicken wings nothing special. Burgers are just okay.
Was expecting more and they didn't deliver.
And the baby changing toilets need more light.
K. N.
Incredible New York inspired restaurant. It has many branches in London. Crispy lamb fries is I've of the best in London. A very cool and hip a vibe in Kingly Court top floor. Highly recommended.
A. K.
Awesome burger - service could be better in truth, but go for the burgers and their take on the whiskey sour was just too good. Thanks for the hangover
O. Q.
Came here because they have the famous bleeding vegan burger and it didn't disappoint. The meat tastes like a meat patty from the cheap frozen section of Iceland, and I'm not saying that in a horrible way! After not having meet for such a long time this was great!
Rest of the food is awesome as well and staff are super friendly
C. R.
Amazing service after my pregnant wife went to ask for her burger to be reheated as it was quite rare and ended up getting a fresh burger cooked. My chicken and waffles was lovely and the 'Mutt's Nuts' was awesome.
T. N.
Great food and staff were friendly and attentive
M. P.
One of my favourite restaurants in London. Great food and cocktails and the service is always impeccable. This place gets the basics things right... constantly topping up your water for example and takes simple food to make some incredibly tasty dishes. Been here several times and would recommend to anyone. Just be careful around peak times as Dirty Bones is incredibly popular so you may need to plan in a wait for a table or alternatively plan to eat around peak hours.
L. L.
A busy place. Can be quite cramped. Food is not bad. Had buffalo chicken wings for starters. Flavour was disappointing, just sour, salty and a tad spicy.
Tried the fried chicken which is crispy and fried well, but on it's own no flavour. Requires sauces to make it taste better. Cheese truffle fries are nice.
Butternut squash is very good, nice balanced flavours of sour and sweet. Fish tacos nice, but the fish was too bitter from being burnt too much. Overall a little overpriced for the flavour and quality. Service was decent.
N. D.
Fantastic food, wait time and wait staff experience! Everything was delicious and the staff were incredibly amenable, personable and kind. Music was great too! Definitely coming back.
K. D.
We stopped by mid week without a reservation and it was very busy. we put our names on the list and went for a drink while we waited, turned out to be 40mins which wasn't too bad. It has a very cool deep south American diner vibe, cool decor (some tables are old pinball machines!) Between 4 of us we shared most of the menu. The fish tacos were delicious as was the mac'n'cheese. The cheeseburger gyōzas were an interesting combo. Definitely worth the wait at the beginning
a.
Very delicious food
Great service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
E. E.
The food has been hyped on instagram because pouring sauce on top of burgers is seen as “creative” and makes good content.
The flavours across our whole order were overpowering and disappointing, we actually threw half of it away. We are foodies and like good food, this was just not it.
The service was decent so that has pumped this review up to 3 stars, it would have been 2 otherwise.
G. K.
The food was good but lukewarm when it came and you only get the table for 1.5 hours, which is fine but wasn’t expecting to be asked to leave on a Tuesday when they had just let us order a bottle of wine! They did accommodate so we could finish our drink but did feel uncomfortable from then on. Half of the staff were lovely, there were a couple of rude people (I asked to keep the pitcher of water when I arrived as I was thirsty and didn’t want to make them come again in a minute once I’d finished my glass, the waitress rolled her eyes and acted as if I had made the strangest request I had ever heard)
P. S.
Burger was quite nice, French fries were decent, and the service was reasonable. However, my burger was served on a ridiculously small plate which was only a little larger than a saucer, the mac and cheese element which topped my burger wasn't very nice, certainly not to my pallet. But my biggest bugbear was being packed in like sardines. I do understand that it's a popular restaurant in a very busy part of London, so with this in mind I will probably give it a miss in future..
D. I.
Well underrated!!
Burgers were top notch and reasonably priced.
Recommend getting their custom sauce. Tangy with a bit of a kick
J. T.
Fantastic food but the service was a letdown. My plate was taken before I could even finish our sharing dish. Then later they grabbed my wife's napkin whilst she was still finishing her mains! We felt we were being rush and they were allowing people up walk up to the restaurant and cue just to be told its full. But the table next to ours was free the last hour.... if it wasn't for the staff I would have given 5*
J. B.
Food was really good, but the service wasn't up to scratch.
We popped in to see if we could book a table for a bit later in the day, but they said they don't take bookings that way - we'd be fine to come back around that time anyway. So we did, and were told they had no room and I should have left a name... In the end they found us a bar table.
We ended up asking the guys behind the bar for our drinks, as we'd been waiting for our server to come take our order for ages! That's kind of how the whole meal went. Slow.
Food was tasty, and cocktails were good. I'd recommend visiting based on that. But, give yourself plenty of time.
M. S.
Found this tucked away whilst wondering around by shear luck. The restaurants all seemed very good however we picked dirty bones due to our belief that it had the best looking food. Our beliefs were confirmed when we were served. The staff were efficient and very friendly, fantastic atmosphere throughout and even better food. The prices were a good match too the food. All in all a fantastic experience. Highly recommend!
P. J.
Food and atmosphere was really nice. The chicken was so crispy and just fell apart and the Mac and cheese was so rich. My only complaint was that only the chicken was hot, the Mac and cheese was boarder line cold.
K. S.
The food did not impress at all - chicken (bones) lacked taste, whilst beef ribs had too much sweet sauce on them. The service was quite slow
M. H.
The beef short rib was delicious and so was the mutt's nuts! Hip hop playing helped make this a stand out place for me.
A. R.
Personally I loved this place. I have never had something so great. We had the cheeseburger dumplings for starters, chicken and waffles and my partner had the chicken tacos. It was all amazingly declious and we most certainly will be going back!
e. n.
Mac Daddy is a beast! Thanks for having all 15 of us !
X. J.
Work lunch, and we arrived early so food came quick. Spicy chicken burger, Mac balls, mixture of fries, padron peppers. All very tasty and esp the sweet chilly sauce was really good
M. K.
Absolutely phenomenal. I had the Chicken & Waffles, with a side of fries, and it was incredible. Highly recommended.
D. W.
Dirty Bones was the perfect Saturday night choice for food. When we arrived we were able to get a table (someone had just called to cancel).
The menu was lite but has some nice comfort food dishes. I ordered the beef short rib and my friend ordered the classic burger.
Both items came out quick and hot with a side of fries (which were seasoned to perfection). Fries are sold ala carte.
We had a quick meal at Dirty Bones but the service was great and the atmosphere was very relaxed and chill. Definitely recommend this spot for a night out on the town.
D. C.
Service was great. Food was so delicious. Reasonable priced and such a good atmosphere
S. A.
Tried their chicken & waffles and the cheesy fries and will definitely have to come back to try their burgers!
Get ready to crush some food if you’re visiting for the first time!
C. R.
The burgers were so good! 🤤 Love this pop up - will be back again soon.
m. k.
Deliciuos food amazing atmosphere and good vibes,
Our waitress is called Josephine I asked her name because she was so kind to us and recommended some dishes were amazing delicious . I love the place and I will come back again
A. K.
Had Mac Daddy before with some nice craft lager, on our second visit we tried the cocktails with beef ribs. Everything was great except one of our waiters being a bit pushy at times and my beef ribs being a tad overcooked.
S. D.
Small chain owned by a private equity firm, which shows through in the quality. Nothing bad about it but nothing to write home about. You'll have to empty your pockets for a burger.
T.
Honestly one of my favourite restaurants in London. Whether you’re trying to impress a date, hang out with a group of mates or after a quick bite to eat, dirty bones is always a good place to go. Food is always amazing quality service is fast and and staff are always friendly.
Definitely recommend the Crispy Lamb fries. You won’t regret it (pictured)
D. P.
Great burgers and fries for 5 in the heart of Soho. Will be back.
G. M.
Food was amazing, staff were great and drinks were great too! Very cool inside and my only issue would be that if you’re waiting to be seated there is not a lot of room inside and it can feel very cramped. Otherwise great!
C. M.
Had lunch today with our team. The food was delicious! Highly recommended.
H. Y.
Cocktails were amazing and service was quick and friendly. We didn't get to eat but the food smelled fantastic and I want to come back for the cheese fries! Thanks for some great drinks!
M. G.
Excellent short ribs, loved every bite. I'd definitely go back ans highly recommended!
M. K.
Great meal here, the steak was served with a burning (!) rosemary twig and it was delicious. The staff were friendly and there was a nice cosy atmosphere. Highly recommend.
B. M.
Incredible food, and a great atmosphere. Didn't have any cocktails but they looked fantastic. The slow rib was quite expensive but worth it for sure
K. U.
Savanna was super friendly and very helpful! Great food and drinks!
M. P.
burger was nice & juicy. yankee dog could be better. if you're counting calories, this isn't the right place for you))
D. P. W.
Very nice place, friendly staff and the food was quite nice. Would go back and recommend to others.
J. K.
Great place and great atmosphere. Short menu but great steaks. Not too busy at the peak time
G. B.
Excellent experience. Simple menu but they know their stuff. Ordered their deep fried chicken - can honestly say it was the best I’ve ever tasted
R. O.
Great guilty pleasures at reasonable prices and great staff! Had the Short Rib Crumpets, crispy Skinny Fries and for dessert, the Banana Toblerone-tella Waffles which was for my taste too sweet and intense but ppl who love peanut butter and chocolate are well served. Also, their Espresso Martini w bourbon was amazing!
A. W.
We were greeted by Alex (I think that was her name. She was the blonde, eastern European lady who greeted us at the door) and she was extremely accommodating in getting us a food order after seeing our disappointment, when she said they had to close the kitchen due to a delivery shortage. We had already tried the Soho branch and had been turned away there, so we were hugely grateful to get something at Carnaby!
The Mac Daddy burger we got was lovely. Beef brisket was cooked to perfection and was 'melt in your mouth' tasty. My wife and I also tried a couple of new cocktails we have not had before and now she has a new favourite! Such a shame we're only visiting for a week from Manchester or we'd probably be here more regularly.
We are hoping to return before the end of our holiday to have some more of these lovely cocktails (and hopefully the cheeseburger dumplings too as they were unfortunately unavailable).
C. C.
We love going out. Last night we visited this superb place which friends told us about. We enjoyed a lovely time there with very good food and an experienced stuff and a distinguished cuisine. We put this fine restaurant in our phone list and we will definitely return soon. We highly recommend.
D. P.
Very tasty. Good service but too many staff just hanging around
A. M.
Was so excited for the new Db to open in Kingly Court! Love their food and cocktails! Amazing attentive staff! Will definitely go back! And now they have a DJ on Fri and Sat, I think! Amazing!
D. O.
Positives - speed of service.
Areas of improvement
1. Portion size. I ordered a chicken and waffle, to receive an uninspiring plate with half a waffle and two well done butter milk chicken breasts.
2. Taste of the food was average. I also ordered a chicken burger which looked drab and tasted bland. It needed some more sauce, flavours or something.
Given the likes of Stax, Patty & Bun or Rum Kitchen are round the corner, I feel Dirty Bones has ALOT of work to do to keep up with the competition. Let's hope they make some improvements before they actually launch or it might be an interesting winter.
S. S.
Okish food and the portion sizes were ok. Very busy when we visited resulted in service being a bit slow
R. M.
Great food and lovely staff. Good vegan selection. Highly recommended!
B. W.
Overpriced - have to pay for sides.
Small burgers
Very limited menu
Cool vibe and good playlist
C. R.
Food 3 stars but the service, 5 stars. We had the best waiter ever!
K. M.
Came in a walk-in and was immediately seated which might not always be the case on a weekend in London. Food was very good and service was excellent. Glad I got to try this place!
E. W.
The perfect spot for brunch. A real hidden gem on the top flour of kingly court. Delicious food and spectacular cocktails.
J. C.
Really nice food, good service, bit pricey but normal for London prices. The fries have a garlic/onion seasoning which is to die for!!
Y. L.
We are here for chicken and waffle, very satisfied. The service is good, music is good. Even price is very friendly comparing to other restaurants in Carnaby Street.
M.
Good service, great food. Tables were quite bunched up though. Well worth the money overall 😊👍
s. f.
Cheeky lunch at dirty bones and we went on to order all the meat. Great flavours and textures. Hadn’t been here for close to 2 years and now I wonder why. As it was fantastic.
J. F.
Amazing food, not too expensive and the staff are spot on too.
Defo be back for more!!
B. S.
Best southern fried chicken I've had in london so far. Excellent mac and cheese too!
A. N.
Relaxed atmosphere, great food and service.
C.
Food was awesome - the Mac and cheese burger was one of the best I have had! Recommend 100%
T. U.
The Mac Daddy burger made my mouth water when I read the description and it did not disappoint. The service was very friendly and helpful. One star deducted as the chicken wings are not good.
T. S.
I was apprehensive about taking children as no menu specifically for them. I shouldn't have worried, they enjoyed the food just as much as we did. The lamb fried were amazing as was the mac and cheese. The children shared the fried chicken which went down well and we had burgers which were perfect. Overall a good meal and will visit again when in London next.
A.
great hot wings, great brisket, great beer, great service, great atmosphere...definitely worth a visit!
A. F. S.
The fried chicken is good quality. not oily at all and tasty. The salad was not the best ever, however everything else was perfect. Very helpful staff was always refilling our glasses with water. Food was delivered pretty quickly. I've seen from other tables very good burghers.
E. O.
Good food. Decent decor. Will be back to sample rest of menu! 👌🏽
l. j.
Expensive and not many options for food. Staff are friendly and atmosphere is good.
D. C. (.
A great place to eat, glad we booked in advance as very busy had a The Mac Daddy with skinny fries.
P. S.
Really nice enviroment just a little cold as doors always open and seating is near the door.
Food was decent and drinks were very nice.
T. B.
Went here for lunch with a couple of colleagues. No reservation but no problem getting a table. Staff were friendly and smiling and the service was prompt. Started as usual with the excellent lamb fries and tried the fried chicken tacos for main. Both very good, the tacos tasty and on the light side, which pairs nicely with the rather voluminous lamb fries. 64 quid including service charge for the three of us with two courses, so not great value but certainly worth the money.
S.
Genuinely friendly waiter. Mains are abit pricey. Nice atmosphere and decor. Great cocktails. I had the fried chicken and it was delicious; but so filling as it’s fried food. However I wasn’t keen on the fried Aubergine side dish at all, it was smothered in the hot sauce and made the batter soggy; I think they should serve it separately.
G. W.
Booked at table for 15 people for a work event - the team couldn't have been more helpful or attentive on the night. The space is brilliant and everybody enjoyed the food. Fantastic menu (especially the Vegan alternative) and the atmosphere was lively. Not too loud that we had to shout over each other. Would 100% book again
M. R.
Great atmosphere. Staff were great and food was delicious
B. G.
Vegan burger was incredible. If you didn't know, you would swear you were eating a cheeseburger with meat. Fries were a little limp for my liking and would have been great to have a tap beer option or two but overall awesome place. Will definitely be back next time I'm in London to sample the vegan burger again and a few of the cocktails...
C. H.
It gets very busy on a Saturday night, but the food was excellent. Mac and cheese steak burger was amazing, the crispy lamb fries on the side are very moreish, the buffalo aubergine side was a surprise hit and the chicken tacos went down very well.
The music was on point and there was a great buzz in there from it being very busy. Service was decent.
h.
Great tasting food. The littlest Hobo is one of the TASTIEST drinks I've had in a restaurant (I ordered three the night I went) and could have ordered more but I stopped myself. The location itself is good for groups it can quite busy inside so not the most intimate location for dates. I would share dishes here some portions can be small and some can be huge like the 'Beef Short Rib' do not this as a main by itself can be overwhelming its tasty but share it! Staff are friendly and accommodating. Overall, lovely food and good vibes I had a great time here with friends.
N. B.
Never disappointed at this branch!
The staffs and food always lovely here. We went on Sunday this time and no bookings or queue was needed. We had classic burger, fried chicken burger also sharing cheese burger dumplings and skinny fries. For who's never been I'd highly recommend Mac cheese balls!
L. M.
We came here because our children saw mac n cheese on the menu. However, our waiter was very friendly. My husband liked the burger and the lamb fries were very good. The atmosphere is very nice! Prices are usual for this part of London.
H. L.
The lamb chips are delicious! Fantastic service. We were served by Lauren who was lovely!
S. o.
Tasty American style food. If you love burgers you truly cant go wrong with any on the menu. The Lamb fries are the best fries on the menu but I wouldn't necessarily say it is a must have. If you do get fries skup the rest and go for lamb fries. I didn't have the fried chicken but my friend did and it appeared over cooked to me. Cocktails are very good and its amazing value to catch their happy hour which ends at 6pm.
Good food, good drinks and friendly staff. Only consideration is that isn't very spacious so bear that in mind.
We had a great time and I would definitely go back.
Z. K.
Crispy lamb fries is an absolute must, it’s one of the best fries dishes I’ve ever had. Chicken and waffles was great, chicken was super moist (could tell it was certainly buttermilk brined as advertised) my only negative being that the batter lacked flavour to an extent, it was lovely and crispy however there was not enough salt nor seasoning in the batter, nonetheless it was a solid meal, portions were not stingy at all. Service was great with polite staff who regularly check up on you every now and then. Love this place and can’t wait to come back.
J. M.
Great burger and friendly service.
Loved it

Really enjoyed the meal at dirty bones, we had fried chicken and a burger which were both really tasty. Also, the buffalo hot wings are a must! When we arrived there was a queue so we used an app to secure a table so we could go and have a drink at a near by pub until we were notified our table was ready. Good experience with the food and service.
J. D.
Great atmosphere, good food, catered for gluten free as well. Will visit again!
V. B.
So so good! The spicy chicken burger and the chilli cheese burger are amaaaazing and the fries are super crispy and fresh! Highly recommend
Really affordable too :)
H. J. K.
Lovely restaurant with a great atmosphere. Had the Mac Daddy bun - it was very nice. The beef patty was juicy, the mac & cheese wasn’t too overwhelming. The bun was also very buttery and light! Skinny fries had a nice garlic touch to it. The fried chicken there also looked pretty tasty! Defo going back again!

Nice looking restaurant in kingly court. Staff seemed ok, some were much friendlier than others. Cocktails here are pretty good, but the food is lackluster, my classic burger didn't have too much flavour to it, even if it was a classic. Price also didn't seem in line, I was expecting more than I was paying for compared to other restaurants in kingly court.
T. U.
Pretty tasty vegan burger
E. M.
Such a great place to get food. They cook perfect, crispy chicken. Reminds me of the type you get in America. The portions are perfect and the food is great. What more do you want? You will have to buy sides with most main meals but it's well worth it for a great night out.
S. W. (.
Cherry Bakewell cocktail is the bomb, well, not a literal bomb....
R.
Great restaurant, The crispy lamb fries is deliciously sweet and savoury and so moreish with bits of crispy lamb and fresh chopped chillies. Definitely the best side dish if you like lamb. Chicken is great ,Definitely a place to come back to.

Been wanting to go to Dirty Bones for ages. They definitely chose their name well as they are amazing at the bones, but that’s where it ends.
We ordered the short rib, lamb fries, a few burgers and the steak. The short rib was extremely tasty and tender and lamb fries are worth going back for alone. The steak was bland which is expected for the cut, but don’t offer flat iron if you can’t flavour it up.
We ordered the sticky toffee pudding which confused me when it arrived at the table. It looked like they scraped together the remaining dry and plasticy pieces of what was a sticky toffee pudding and just threw it in a tumbler hoping I wouldn’t notice how wrong it was.
M. E.
That is a really nice little diner. We tried The Classic & The Spicy Chicken burgers with Mac & Cheese as a side. The food were delicious. If you like American style, greasy burgers, you are gonna like this place. Atmosphere is quite nice. Decoration and music are really cool. We had a good time while waiting for our food. We have been there a saturday afternoon. Therefore it was really crowded and tables were like 2 inches apart from each other. We liturally double dated with another lovely couple :) But overall recomended!
A. J.
Ate there tonight as part of a group of four.
Our waitress was lovely but took our order without writing anything down (a feat which never impresses me and often worries me) and got the order slightly wrong. This resulted in a delay with one of our sides.
Our cabbage side was on time but badly burnt but was removed off the bill with little fuss required.
There were no shakes available due to the very specific ice cream that was required being impossible to source. Not sure why an available ice cream wouldn't have sufficed.
Otherwise the food was excellent and the service was good. Beef ribs were excellent! Compliments to the chef for this.
The music was way too loud so struggled to hear my company when talking to me.
Restaurant looks very nice.
C. S.
Great Food and great Cocktails. The vegan burger with the moving mountains patty tastes great, but still different than a meat patty. Either way, definitely worth a try. Lamb fries were a crowd pleaser.
G. P.
Great food and drinks, you can't fault the place. However, it's not very big and due to its location you might find yourself waiting for quite a bit if you haven't booked. Might have rearranged the drinks area a bit better but hey, you can't expect much more in such a restricted space. The staff is cordial and will treat you with kindness and smiles, definitely one of my favourites in London.
A. W.
The crispy chicken on the lunch deal was superb. Lose a point for the chips being boring, and the dip provided being lacklustre (although hot sauce is all you need, which is provided free). Comfortably in and out in 40 minutes, even at a leisurely pace - easy lunch.
j. m.
Lovely place, food was delicious also. Pint of lager was cheap for London aswell. Would recommend
s. J.
Great food and quick... very busy though and one can feel rushed.
C.
Lovely place, lovely staff and delicious food!
C. W.
Really great burgers in a cool setting. Mac and cheese burger was great, the pattys are great, lamb chips were awesome. The location really cool. Only downside was the service is a bit slow but was very busy.
M. D.
Wonderful place.
Best of the best management and the stuff so helpful and friendly.
I highly recommend.
Definitely will come back
K. B.
Love the decor and location! Cocktails were good and love the reasonable prices at happy hour. Enjoyed the Mac Daddy but not quite up to the American standard, and my boyfriend's chicken on waffles looked a little sad - definitely resembled something I could make up at home. The breakfast fries however.. basically a work of genius. I'd go back to explore the menu further.
M. H.
One the best fried chicken I've had in London!
B. J.
Stumbled across this place just now on a day off. Happy hour till 6 on a Friday so £5 cocktails are a dream. Atmosphere is ace, chilled but lively if that makes any sense. Then that brings me on to THE Burger. £10 lunchtime deal. Aside from the easy price (served with fries) I literally won't find words to describe the flavours. I think I shed a little year of juicy meat filled joy.
Go yourself. Trust me.
C. H.
Honestly could not recommend this place enough! The food was so good, the vibe was great and the staff were absolutely BRILLIANT. I took my dad for his birthday and he completely loved it. The staff were super accommodating, even let him order his favourite cocktails off the menu, brought us all really tasty shots and sang him happy birthday. Absolutely brilliant place. I had the chicken burger - SO good. A must visit.
P. U.
Good burgers, but didn’t exceed expectations. Lavender martini was too sweet.
J. S.
Had an amazing experience at this location on August 13th 2017. We were a party of 7, one required a high chair as was 10 months, one had a severe nut allergy. This place catered for all of us. They were super organised and acted really handled the nut allergy well, because we had to walk away from some restaurants in the kingly court due to being unable to guarantee safety for the sufferer, but not this place. The Dirty Bones staff were all amazing, and I honestly think this is now my new favourite restaurant in the world. Time and my sister shared our brunch dishes (the Chicken and waffles and the Mac Daddy burger) and we fell in love with the food. Everything was perfect, the staff, the service and the food. Half our party was from Birmingham, the other half from San Francisco and the Americans amongst us loved the food, which is a great sign considering they are tend to get similar food options across the pond. And as for those from Birmingham, we truly wish you would open a branch up nearby so we could visit more often. Thank you everyone working there during our meal!!
J. V.
Let's start with te good stuff - Amazing location; good ambience; decent music; polite and cordial staff.
So why did I not rate it with a 5 star. Well it's primarily because of the food. I ordered the chicken on waffle and while the waffle was amazing, the fried chicken had very mild flavor. Ordered a fried cauliflower as sides and it was literally half a cauliflower deep fried floating over, what they call a madras curry, but it essentially was just a bed of strong turmeric flavored sauce. May be the other dished would have been better but I was let down by what I had ordered.
T. M.
Love this place! Above all else the staff are fantastic and treat the customers so kindly.
S. P.
We had to wait 20 minutes for a seat, but they give you a text message with access to an online website with your queue position. We used the time to get impressed by Kingley Court (it is impressive). Staff was very nice and threw in some funny quotes even with a full house stress. The food was just over the top good. I can highly recommend this restaurant and the Mac Daddy burger as well as the lamb fries.
A. A.
Rib burger with mac n cheese was good but chicken one was dried .
S. C.
What a lovely humbling place - great comfort food and splendid cocktails! Friendly & bubbly staff. Great atmosphere. Our new favorite hidden gem! Can't wait to return for some more chicken & waffle 👍😃
S. F.
Got the deep fried Mac n cheese balls (amazing), Truffle Fries (decadent but not so amazing) , 1/2 Fried Chicken and "The Burger". The "1/2" chicken equated to 2 small pieces so not great value at all considering we paid like £8 for that dish. It was good but not great. "The Burger" was quite good, one of the best I've had in a while and way better value than the chicken clocking in at £9. I might give this place another go for their Lunchtime deals.
A. A.
I always seem to return to Dirty bones, wishing, hoping that it gets better this time, however as always I leave bored and feeling uninspired by their food.
Generally speaking the restaurant is nice and the main highlights are the starters. The Cheeseburger Gyozas and Deep fried mac n cheese are standouts and the main contribution for my scoring.
However on the mains, being massively disappointed to find out they were out of beef ribs we settled for the fried chicken (which was good I must admit) and the mac n cheese burger, a reciepe destined for success that sadly falls short as it was dry and plain as can be.
As this point we were stuffed and didn't opt in for the desserts. But its safe to say it would have likely been within the same region as everything else.
A solid -6/10-
T. K.
The Food, Incredible! The service, incredible! The vibe, you guessed it... Incredible!
I've been here several times with my GF and the food is consistently up to standard. I would recommend you definitely try their lamb fries.
Wish I found out about this place earlier but better late than never!
J. M.
The food and cocktails here were amazing!
The atmosphere on a friday night was great.
We hadnt booked but only had to wait 20 minutes for a table which was ideal.
Our waiter was super friendly and smiley :)
O. B.
Being veggie/vegan in London is easy, especially in recent years. Vegan burgers are everywhere! But vegan burgers which look like meat and have 'ribs' and 'mac and cheese' are not so easy to find - and this is where Dirty Bones comes in.
The vegan Mac Daddy is as epic as it sounds, and I'm confident that even meat-eaters would like it. My husband, who is a hardcore carnivore, opted for chicken and waffles - which he said was very good - and lamb fries, which he said were incredible. I did have a cheeky try of the fries themselves and they were spiced and delicious. We were both very full and happy at the end.
The decor is cool - random bits and bobs like old cameras, cassette players (remember those!) and pin ball machines adorn the walls - and service is slow but very friendly.
We would definitely come back here and will recommend it to others.
J. B.
Burgers are top drawer - coarse, nice char, cooked pink, solid demi-brioche seeded bun. Cocktails are excellent.
Fries were average, but nothing to complain about there.
Stay away from the Buffalo Aubergine, you'd imagine it would be nice crispy thin slices, but it's half-inch slabs, doesn't quite work.
Fried chicken was not good. £8.50 for 4 thighs, and I could smell the burnt breading from across the restaurant. That chicken was not brined, was not properly salted, the breading was underseasoned.
Didn't have a waiter come at any point to check if all was OK, and when I showed her the chicken which was black in parts. She just asked if I wanted it replaced, didn't offer to comp.
Won't be returning, you can get a comparable burger in a lot of places.
L. D. (.
Food was very nice.
Great vibe and atmosphere.
Only things that could be looked at are how tight the tables are next to each other and our food did come pretty late. Someone came in sat next to use ordered and got theirs before we did.
Y. Y.
Decent food, good mocktails
O.
Lamb fries are the best. Taste so good. Forgot to get a picture😋
S. G.
Really packed during lunch hours! A little squeezy, but I have to seriously commend the amazing staff. They were attentive as hell, refilled our water even without us asking, always came to check on us and if we enjoyed the food. Top notch! Lovely food with lovely service!
A. L.
Good food, good vibes but very busy and very loud. They have placed the tables to closely together so it feels like you are dining strangers. Management, remove a table or two from that isle to give your customers an acceptable amount of room!
r. j.
A bit of a wait to get a table, but absolutely worth it. The food is really delicious and well made, a brilliant drinks menu and service. We had a brilliant evening here, such a wonderful atmosphere and buzz around the entire place. Definitely a place to experience!
M. V. W.
Warm welcome, excellent service and certainly worth a visit. The short ribs are absolutely delicious and were served very fast. Music is a bit louder (which I personally liked very much, but possibly not everybody would 😉) and the interior is vintage in a very trendy way. Marvelous restaurant.
P. L.
Food was pretty good when we eventually got it. Nice vibe, busy atmosphere. Would have gotten 4 stars if I didn't see tables that came in 20 minutes after us getting their food before us.
S. S.
£20 per person (incl service charge) for a huge meal in central London, you can’t go wrong. Crispy lamb fries are an absolute must!! I’m craving them as I type this lol. Chicken n Waffles is great too and the portions are huge!
Also it’s in the very ambient and lively Kingley Court!
P. C.
Fast service, a really good food. I had the Mac Daddy burger, which was delicious.
M. P.
The taste of the food was nice but the place is overrated. We ordered the pile of chicken, thinking it would be what it says, a pile! To our surprise, it was just 4 small pieces of fried chicken on a huge plate, not even piled up! And for £14, way too expensive and very disappointing! The guys who welcomed us and took our order were nice, but then the other waiter didn't even sympathise with us when we complained about the "pile" of chicken, also we were never asked if we wanted another drink during the meal. The Instagram account pictures you something great and in reality was disappointing.
B. H.
Wow. To be fair Kingly Court has something for everyone, and Dirty Bones is what it had for me. In some ways real American classics - a tasty classic burger, and melt in the mouth short rib - but also some new twists like the smooth and salty cheeseburger gyōza. Service could be quicker but very friendly, so we didn't mind as we weren't in a hurry. Really fun Saturday lunch with friends.
C. I.
Such good food with a great atmosphere. Our server, David, was really welcoming and helped choose some tasty dishes. Definitely recommend the lamb fries!
L. H.
Best lamb fries! Drinks expensive filled with ice.
W. E. T.
Ordered the famed buttermilk fried chicken on waffles which met expectations! The atmosphere is noisy, but well themed, and the staff as a whole friendly enough. Unfortunately we did encounter a particularly rude waitress, which marred our experience.
D. E.
Delicious. But not quite as should have been. I ordered the cheeseburger gyoza and crispy lamb fries. The crispy lamb fries have been a hot topic ever since and we will be back for those! The gyoza however, were burnt and over cooked. As I visited the toilet and when we left, I noticed other dinners had the same dish but crispy and not charcoal. Shame really, as some of the other dishes looked amazing.
H. M.
Great food, the classic burger is one of the best I’ve had. Service was great too. Only negative is the size of the restaurant and the way we’re packed in their like sardines
M. B.
I ate the four main food types of chicken, lamb, beef and pork. It was incredible. The service was really great, I'd love to name our watresss but can't remember her name (sorry we couldn't stay for the birthday doughnut!) and nice atmosphere. Still meat full four hours later. Will be back.
G. B.
Decent portions. Tasty food and cocktails. The flat iron steak was a bit over done and underwhelming compared to other dishes - would have been a big disappointment if the port bones were SO big!
D. J.
I’ve been a long time fan of Dirty Bones - great food, service and atmosphere. The one thing that always let it down was the queues to get in.... well not anymore! Last night I used this new app called WalkIn and managed to beat the usual wait time completely. Made the whole experience so much smoother 😊. Our waiter, David, was also great!
S. J.
Came here to try the vegan burger, and really enjoyed it - they have the moving mountain burger with vegan cheese burger sauce and veganaise. Oh and pickles!!! The fries were too salty which is why I have taken away 1 star. I had the Campari and aperol cocktail which was really good. Will come back!
d. d.
Atmosphere is very happy setting. Cheerful, attentive smiley waitresses. Nice place to hv a cocktail here. 3 star is because of food. Average. Ordered crispy baby rib £10and truffle cheese fries. Rib is well marinate and deep fried (without batter). It is quite dry, taste very similar to Chinese fermented bean curd (actually is famous Chinese food). It should be not bad but it cover with very very very sweet, salty, punchy vinegar sauce. I hv to drink quite a lot of water. Truffle cheese fries £5 smell good but can't eat too much. I think the price is quite average in London. Maybe I will try the burger next time. Not recommending the rib
K. M.
One of the best places I've visited, will always be coming back.
J. W.
Gutted by the vegan burger. Dont get me wrong I know this isn't a vegan restaurant and the non vegan items were amazing as always, but the vegan burger was lacking some love. Its was dry and tasteless with a sharp dollop of mustard and a block of vegan cheese on top. Theres some brilliant melting vegan cheese out there and a simple slaw to give it more texture and moisture would have sorted it right out, it's such a shame when everything else is being done so right.
M. B.
Had a lovely meal, initially the Mac and cheese in our burgers was a bit cold but the staff were fantastic and rectified the problem immediately with genuine apologies and the remainder of our meal was a great experience. Also fantastic happy hour cocktails
C. G.
Great food, great wine, great service!
A. C.
First, I love the energy and vibrancy of Kingly Court at Carnarby. There are a few places to choose from and although, I haven't yet visited them all, Dirty Bones is one of my favorites so far. Drinks, starters, main food and service, they were all excellent!!!
N. V.
Amazing food, very busy with a great vibe. Definitely reserve a table.
B.
Nice place, good and professional service. Nice food, good price
L. E.
Nice atmosphere. Had the hamburger Gyōza so nice. For main we had the fried chicken and fries. Chicken was soo tender and crispy, the fries had a onion spice on them very moreish.
s.
A nice restaurant located on the top floor of Kingly Court. Decent prices for central London, and good New York style food. Is a bit hidden away and therefore always has tables available.
+ Good New York style menu
+ Nice atmosphere
+ Friendly staff
+ Always has free tables
- Can get a bit loud and cramped when the restaurant is busy
W. B.
Very neat and accessible spot. They provide large portions and for affordable prices. I loved the meals very much and the staff were super welcoming and informative. Highly recommended.
D. P.
3 stars for the atmosphere!!! Nothing special for the food!
T. A.
Mac burger 🍔 is one of favorite in Soho
N. M.
Lovely location, very attentive staff. Food is yummy but its a pop up so very limited menu.
E. N.
Delicious food, amazing service. The burger with Mac and cheese is certainly the main dish but I strongly recommend the crispy lamb fries. So tasteful.
C. W.
Great restaurant in Kingly Court for fried chicken. The crispy lamb fries is deliciously sweet and savoury and so moreish with bits of crispy lamb and fresh chopped chillies. Definitely the best side dish if you like lamb. Chicken is great but I think it needs a stronger ranch dressing. Something with a little extra kick ie more lemon or chilli.
Definitely a place to come back to. If you can wait for a table, they can send you text to return as you spend your time around the many shops at Carnaby Street. Very helpful. Or not!
M. N. A.
Amazing food and vibes! Better order your fried chicken and waffles and pour that maple syrup on all over. They also have great beer selection. Enjoy!
J. H.
Fantastic food in a cozy environment, the lamb fries are a must try!
M. H.
Great location, average American food, but service was good.
B. L.
Service was really good, food was mediocre. The patty was cooked to a good rareness, but overall, the Mac Daddy burger didn't meet expectations. The Dirty Dog was good but felt it was overpriced. The Cheesy Truffle Fries were good.
D. F.
Top Notch eatery.. People saying prices a little steep? In London you pay for what you get. Quality of food is excellent. As for price? it's quite reasonable.
S.
Fantastic affordable lunch. 👍
R. A.
Good food but a bit overpriced for what you get. The burgers don't come with chips which is disappointing. The pork ribs were fantastic though.
M. S.
Quite an original menu. Food was tasty and service was quick and friendly. The while idea of the place was cool. Wouldn't mind trying the mac and cheese burger next time.

Love the atmosphere and food. Staff were very reliable and friendly. Love the tables which used to be pinball tables.

It was rammed and the staff were flat out - problems with my order & took a while to resolve. The Soho branch is a far better experience & I would say the food is better too (including larger portion sizes)
C. P.
The cocktails were really good here, tasty and fresh. We had only some small plates which were fresh. The service was good.
J. U. H.
I had a lunch with my colleagues. My Crispy Fried Chicken was ok - nothing special. Enjoyed the bottomless fries. Good decor and overall nice vibe at Kingly Court.
Y. A.
Good restaurant & have delicious food

Keep doing what your doing - its amazing':
Food and service to write home about and I did.
R. H.
Great food, great atmosphere, great cocktails
C. K.
Full of great atmosphere and tasty wholesome food. Expect great portions and a good selection of drinks. Mac n Cheese was brilliant.
G. B.
Great experience, good food, the team is so friendly 👌
H. B.
The food is constantly fresh and yummy, employees hands over great customer service. I love how clean it is and vibes. Will come back again.
M. H.
Not too busy for a Saturday night, only had to wait 5 minutes to be seated but saw others waiting much longer. Food was above average but the beer was lacking in quality choice and quite expensive. We were sat next to the door which was quite crafty since it was only a few degrees outside. Would recommend.
V. S.
Amazing

Superb 'proper' buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce 😋

Good food
J. H.
Atmosphere / overall theme isn't really for me, I just went for the B12 burger - which was overall good but I found the adornments added here a bit over the top.
V. B.
Amazing food , great atmosphere lovely stuff , especially Kyrah.
T. B.
The service is very good but dont expect to much for your money, says its based on New York dining, well if they served up those portions in America they would laugh at you, my sons chicken Nactos were 3 things the size of a biscuit and the chicken the size of my thumb nail for £9, wont be going back
G. R.
Crispy lamb fries are to die for! Would recommend to everyone to try at least once, you will not be disappointed with the great atmosphere, food, service and of course cocktails!!

👍

The ribs were really good; just fell off the bone. The mac and cheese was a bit flavourless, however. Overall, pretty good.
L. S.
The best fried chicken I've ever had! Highly recommend this restaurant. The cocktails were fab too.

Lovely restaurant. Fish Tacos are amazing, they are a must order!! Brilliant customer service and great vibe! Will defo be going back.

Good hangout place for drinks with friends. Food is acceptable. Place can get crowded after work hours, so expect some wait time.
S. L. J.
Excellent food in a cosy rustic place right in the heart of shopping. If you like the American taste you should try this place out.
R. R.
Tasty! Shame we missed brunch though, will be returning :)
J. O.
Love the atmosphere and food. Staff were very reliable and friendly. Love the tables which used to be pinball tables.

Food was outstanding as usual for dirty bones, service was a little slow at times even though it wasn't really busy drinks prices are high also
J. O.
Very cool vibe. Friendly staff. The food was very good. Cool fun drinks too. Great place to start your night
J. H.
Great central location. Quirky decor, perhaps a little overpriced but it is London! Staff really friendly and helpful. Try the Lexy cocktail - it's excellent
J.
Excellent food, I went for the fried chicken with spicy lamb fries. The service was good as well.
T. W.
Adrian is one of the best bartenders I have ever met. A true exper of his craft both in practice and service, this bartender is a one to watch.
M. M.
Mac daddy, was great but star of the show was sticky toffee pudding not the stickiest but a proper nice desert. Richard was great.
A. A.
Great food and great service
B. H.
Great ramen place in soho. Good atmosphere, good food and drink but peak times get very busy and cramped inside and can often take a while to get noticed by servers.
N. A.
Really nice food, excellent service the only thing was more chicken skin than meat
P. L.
Found the restaurant noisy with music blasting. Very standard food quality with quite a price tag.
P. K.
Great place!! Nice food and coctails at reasonable price :) good atmosphere and chill music vibes! Definitely recommended ;)

Great American comfort food. It was fast and delicious. Seriously good burgers.

Nice little place but may have made bigger since visited. Foods yummy at expected prices for location.
M. H.
Had lovely starters. Waited ages for mains and was not impressed at all. They took some off the bill but wouldn't return. Shame.
C. C.
Great comfort food served by great friendly staff! A must visit if you're in the area!
I. G.
My cocktail was too sour and small ( to much ice), my salad was unexpectedly spicy.
J. S. J.
Had the Mac daddy burger which was really nice!! Service great and quick for lunch.
T. M.
The entrance to this place is so hard to find - you enter it through Kingly Court, which is a passageway to a courtyard off Carnaby street. Great food!
L. O.
Love love love the food and cocktails
M. R.
Very good. Eaten here twice in a week...The Lamb Fries are to die for !
P. Y.
Surprisingly good food. The portions I got were a little on the small side.
R.
Really juicy chicken❤! Nice vibe, friendly staff and fast service even though it was really busy. Will be back :)
S. L.
Best chicken and waffles I've ever had. I still think about them and can't wait to go back for more!
C. G.
Great food in a relaxed environment, you might have to wait to be seated and the prices aren't too shabby for central London.
R. A.
Always a great place to be with friends. Portions could be a bit more generous since the place isn't but otherwise, great :).
B. K.
