Reviews of Dishoom King's Cross
M. G.
A great place for brunch. Nice spacious restaurant with excellent table service. Arranged over two floors. The food is delicious, nice naan breads, spicy chicken dishes to name but a few. Quite an unusual combo of sausage in naan bread, but it was absolutely delicious. The portion size is generous. The only criticism I have for this restaurant is that the lighting is very dark inside. Other than that it is definitely worth a visit and you may have to book ahead as it does get very busy.

Went for brunch, loved my banana date porridge. Very comforting on a cold day! Really appreciating the unlimited serving (despite not having gotten seconds, I think the option to is nice), and the oat chai was lovely!! Looking forward to returning for dinner one day

From the moment we walked in, we received excellent customer service from the bar staff downstairs, while waiting for a table. We enjoyed great cocktails/mocktails, before we enjoyed a delicious meal. The food was fresh and very tasty, great flavours and a wide choice of dishes on the menu.
The waiters were friendly and kind. Overall a great dining experience. Will be back!

Believe the hype! Went to Dishoom with a group of 7 having been unable to unfortunately book a table. However, staff were accommodating and we were happy to wait, which took much less time than expected. Definitely recommend going in the early afternoon if you don’t have a booking.
The food was exceptional, we tried to sample as many dishes as possible and the standouts were easily the House Black Dahl and the Chicken Biryani. Although we weren’t let down by a single dish. Prices are reasonable and the staff were excellent and very attentive.
The restaurant itself is presented beautifully with lots of fascinating sights and smells. Dishoom is certainly not one to miss!
M. P.
Went there without a booking and the waiting times weren’t bad. We got a table pretty quickly considering the place was packed.
The service was nice. Our order got a bit mixed up but the staff sorted it, apologised and gave us that dish for free.
The food is really good and a great representation of restaurants in Mumbai. Surprisingly not very expensive.

Food is so good. Cocktails even better. Love the decor & the atmosphere of the place. The staff were very attentive. Can't fault it at all
P. S.
I've been here many times for food and always loved it.
This time I had breakfast and it was just FAB!
Food is so tasty, cooked perfectly and the staff were really friendly, helpful and attentive. Really recommend the Bloody Mary!
This is fast becoming my favourite London restaurant.

Always go for the mutton pepper fry. It’s such a rich tender delicious curry. It’s soo different to anything Iv ever tasted.
Dishoom never fails to impress, would highly recommend for dining alone or with friends. The kings cross branch is particularly nice, but the aesthetic across the branches are all quite cool.
E.
One of the best restaurants that serve Indian food in London. They have several branches in London. The prices were appropriate, the location was excellent, and the service was good. The restaurant should be booked in advance., highly recommended
Z. H.
Very nice venue in an old train warehouse. As we were not sure we could make a reservation, we walked in and were offered to have a drink but we got our table before we could even complete our order. The food and drink menus are so descriptive we could not read them entirely. The food was overall good but somes dishes were better than others (the black daal was delicious).
Φ. Τ.
Food was really tasty, not the best naan we've tasted, but still good. Raita has too much onion for me, but my boyfriend enjoyed it.
Chocolate pudding was WOW! As well as the cinnamon ice cream.
Staff was very polite.
The place was lovely.
Although, if you want to got (let's say) for a date after 5, you have to wait for 30-45' (even if it is one of the weekdays) as they don't accept bookings after 5 (at least for 2 people, idk if they accept for more, I didn't tried)
J. N.
Big points for service, very quick food. Had the Wrestler's Naan. Perhaps expectations were high enough but naan not as fluffy as is hoped and sausage not worth it. Perfectly ok though.
S. K.
Popped in at 9am for a quiet breakfast. Food and service was incredible as always. Dishoom remains my favourite restaurant restaurant in London and having visited most of them, the King's Cross branch is my favourite.
F. A.
Fantastic experience.
The ambience, the service, the food... Couldn't fault any of it.
Being unfamiliar with the food we went through a series of recommended dishes by the waiter and every single one was tasty and beautifully made.
Priced reasonably and as we got on so well with the waiter we were even surprised he took deserts off the bill and gave us extra vouchers for free breakfast (which we have used two days later and were great).
If this is the typical to the restaurant, it's no wonder it was so busy (Thursday evening).

A must visit for lovers of Indian food with a beautiful and meaningful aesthetic. The bottomless chai is a must. Great value for money and the taste is incomparable. Good staff and quick service.
J. P.
I'm not usually a big fan of Indian food but I enjoyed everything here.
The Chicken Ruby was amazing. Full of spice but delicately balanced. The Biryani was also great. I often find them dry but this was not at all. The berries on top were a fine addition.
The real star was the Bhel. Only a snack of puffed rice, pomegranate seeds, raisins and, I think, Bombay Mix. I have never had anything like it before and I gladly would've eaten that all evening.
The cocktails were also very well made and original with an Indian twist.
J. P.
Dishoom is always a great place to visit. Today was another such day. I came from Dubai, to visit and just have a good breakfast on my birthday. Bit crazy it may sound, but sometimes things you love the most, must be lived.
P. S.
We booked 3 weeks in advance for our first Dishoom experience and it was definitely worth waiting for. Our server, Andrea put us at ease by listening carefully to our dietary requirements and guided us through the menu. We enjoyed all of our food which had been cooked with care but was quick to arrive. Cannot fault any aspect of the experience. We will certainly be returning again soon.
G. L.
Absolutely incredible our server for the evening was so patient explaining every dish and the history behind the restaurant. We had the best time for my boyfriends birthday and we’ll definitely be coming back here and recommending to as many people as we can! thank you for an enjoyable experience!
A. M.
Went to dishoom at kings cross and it was lovely for my overall experience. The service was okay, the ambience is alright its quite dim making it quite fine dining ambience. It was quite loud though so if you are looking for a place to eat peacefully maybe not here. Some waiters or waitresses are not wearing masks so dont be caught off guard if they are exempted. Nevertheless, all the food are very good. Tried the okra fries and reminded me of an indonesian dish. The chili chicken tastes like sweet and sour chicken very western and it was okay. The lamb signature dish is okay too. The naan bread is way better than the roti since the roti is kinda dry so you should get the naan bread more. The jackfruit biryani was awesome. Nevertheless, the star dish of the day was the black daal since it was the best reminded me of authentic indian food. Make sure to order rice or bread for the daal and it would just melt in your mouth. Wanna add the dessert as well. I tried chocolate pudding with chilli ice cream. The taste is very interesting it was just sublime. The first spoon wasnt that nice but you have to keep eating to taste it better. The chocolate got salty and bitter taste while the ice cream gave spicy and sweet taste. Interestingly, they mixed perfectly somehow. I gotta give props to the chef. I dont usually love mix taste for dessert because a lot of chefs tried so hard and they dont mix well.Trust me bro. Overall, it was a lovely experience and the hype is not fake and it is worth for the price. I would recommend people to come here and keep coming back for its great indian food. Cheers! I hope this helps!

A must visit when in London to explore some amazing food, in beautiful cozy ambience and highly efficient and well behaved staff who makes you feel lik home.
C. I.
I adore this restaurant. An excellent variety of dishes and quite good prices. I have visited many times, tried quite a few starters and also mains and desserts! All of these great. Apart from the delicious food, the place looks fantastic. Very interesting design, with high ceilings that make the place feel lively and spacious (which actually is!). Very friendly waitress and waitresses - the only downside is the waiting time. Book ahead as the waiting line can be pretty long, although the personnel are kind enough and offer delicious chai while waiting. Definitely a must!
S. M.
Overall, I really liked this place. The lamb shank was as tender as you’d like, the paneer tasted great, the cheese naan was really good too. My only slight criticism would be the speed of service, it took about 22 minutes for the food to arrive. Also, this isn’t the sort of place you should go to if you like being able to hear yourself think. It’s loud in there! Special thanks to the waitress that went out of her way to accommodate a takeaway request. You know who you are! :)
K. K.
A must visit place , the moment I entered I was in the land of nostalgia being partly brought up in Mumbai.
The decor of the place represents a top notch Iranian cafe and have been really well thought of.
The food is authentic and delicious, be it the bhel puri , black dal or chicken tikka and not to forgotten the start jackfruit biryani.
The pau did lack a buttermilk tanginess and the fluffiness of what we get back home but was quite close.
The cocktails are not what you usually get in a restaurant have their own uniqueness to it, tried the old fashioned bourbon one thoroughly enjoyed it.
How can anyone not have the cutting chai tried the chocolate one which was a great twist to the real chai.
Overall definitely a must visit , I would have given half star more if google allows.

Disappointing. We were visiting as a family of 4 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Lady on the front door was rude and clearly not having a good day. When we asked if we could go straight in as we had a reservation (we arrived at 3.45 and our reservation was for 3.45) we were told to stand to one side whilst she explained that the reception area was busy – we could see that no one was there? The reception team were lovely and acknowledged that we were celebrating a birthday and they also acknowledged that we had received and accepted an invite by email for a complimentary 'winter welcome drink'. The drink never arrived, we were taken to 3 different tables before we were finally seated and they sadly forgot about the birthday celebration whilst others around us were given candles and cake. The table we occupied was uncomfortable and extremely tight. One of the main dishes (the special lamb) was served undercooked and the waiter also acknowledged this. The food on the whole is delicious and our waiter (South American chap) was a delight but the experience wasn't the celebration we were expecting. Would I queue outside in the cold – definitely not. Will we be returning – not in a hurry. Was it worth £185 (minus the undercooked lamb) – I don't think so. Expected much better Dishoom.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Make sure to book in advance if you're going at a peak time. I've tried to walk in on a Friday night and have been told 1hr wait time.
F. C.
Very welcoming, charming staff fashionably dressed and cool— a female then a male helped me with my suitcase upstairs and down again. Delicious Persian-Indian food, aromatic, finely marinaded with delicious seasoning. Fried Okra far far better than french fries could ever be. A lovely remodelled industrial space, including the gorgeously tiled clean toilets in basement.
S. D.
Great location and interior is lovely. Good to go for the experience but I would say food is good but not exceptional
L. M.
I couldn't fault this place if I tried, it never disappoints. My partner and I visited to celebrate our anniversary, from the second we arrived we were looked after with incredible hospitality. The food was delicious and our waiter was very helpful when navigating our choices, he was a credit to the team! The masala prawns were divine and was the black dahl! We cant wait to return and would like to thank the KX team for a wonderful night!
D. R.
This is a must go to restaurant , went for breakfast and had their signature bacon and egg naan roll. The flavours were amazing. Great service and lovely staff.
Their cook book is fab too.
J. B.
Fantastic place! It's is absolutely huge and the queue is always ridiculously long outside. Highly recommend booking a reservation or the wait could be killer.
The atmosphere is very family oriented but the place looks super classy and beautiful.
The food is amazing if a little pricey. Would recommend the dinner over breakfast as there isn't a single thing on that menu you could pick that isn't delicious.
Also for the festive season, their eggnog chai is incredible. As are the lattes!
V. A. c.
This place doesn’t disappoint. I’ve been too many times and it hits the spot just right. This location may be my favourite too. The restaurant is big but well split into floors so it feels cozy. Service is good and pays attention to your needs. Brunch is the best meal to have there
A. G.
Gorgeous decor! Located within an old warehouse/storehouse which retains a lot of original features this Dishoom brings the place to life in a very empathetic way and the tiled toilets are too lovely!
Staff on my trip were wonderful and inviting without being too pushy or intrusive, they were welcoming from the moment of coming in with smiles and helpful attitudes and accommodated us in a harmonious way.
The vegan Bombay breakfasts were delicious but were almost totally reminiscent of a standard greasy spoon just with a higher price point but, the flavour of all the items was vastly different which lead to a more exciting palate experience, which I would probably have again, although would perhaps try the other items on what is a generous vegan menu.
Drinks were tasty and a standard price point.
All in all I will 100% be going back! Hopefully the Permit room will be open for cocktails as even just walking through it conjures up times of old.
V. D.
Brilliant food and service as always at Dishoom.
Must haves to order are the house black daal, the okra fries, the mutton pepper fry, and the mutter paneer.
The chocolate fondant with chilli ice cream is a lovely way to finish a delicious meal.
P. G.
The place to be for Breakfast/Brunch, as well as Dinner!
I've visited before, for an evening meal and was blown away by the service, ambiance and decor. It's beautiful and the food is incredible! But when I visited for breakfast it really was unexpectedly delicious. Refillable house chai lattes, more great service and the bacon and egg naan was the best thing I've tasted in a while!
You have to visit.
S. K.
It’s off course very popular and busy, reservations highly recommended but the team will do best to seat walk ins. I had the famous chai teas and some sides and deserts sat at the bar which is bright and open. The chocolate pudding is definitely the one to pick.
G.
Always a lovely experience. Don't be put off by the queu outside... It's well worth the wait to get inside. Also you will probs be offered a little complimentary cuddly cup of chai / mint tea and if you are especially lucky , a cheeky little sherry before you get in through the doors. I love the food ,the bar , the atmosphere , the staff, all the things.
M. U.
Excellent food and service. Cocktails were the highlight for us. Great for groups. Make a reservation in advance, there is always a queue.
A. S.
Amazing service, atmosphere and the food was delicious as always. We booked in advance and were seen immediately. Everything was served hot and at reasonable intervals. Nothing to complain about. The price was reasonable as well. Overall happy bunny, will definitely visit again.
J. H.
This is fantastic! The service is excellent, the space is super cool and the food delicious :) We had the: veggie samosas 4 kinda small yet tasty samosas with excellent dipping sauces; chicken ruby, really good chicken in a rich makhani sauce. Really good! And garlic naan with raita. All dee-lish we really enjoyed our lunch. Go!
J. A.
Thanks so much to all staff! Was an amazing experience and the food was wonderful as a always! I’m regular customer in shoreditch and king cross is amazing too! Specials thanks to the waitress from Santo Domingo he was so professional and kindly! Definitely I will come back with my big team of work to enjoy this beautiful place! Thanks again John Ariza"
L. K.
We stopped her for dinner tonight and loved it. The food was super delicious. We were very impressed and the service was amazing. Especially Naomi who was wonderful. We had our 6 year old with us and Naomi was so lovely with her and made us feel very welcome.
M. C.
A beautiful breakfast!
We came here for the first stop of a 30th birthday weekend and we're so glad we did. We've wanted to come for ages and it was worth the wait. The building itself is beautiful and and tastefully decorated. Our host, Naomi made us feel like we were chatting to an old friend. She made recommendations to us, as well as things to do in the local area - she even brought some complementary birthday pancakes with a candle for my Husband! The food and service was absolutely beautiful and we can't wait to come back again soon
T. P.
Not a big space but love its good taste. Love its healthy food. Variety of nice food at riverside. Taste with a cool view.
F. K.
Service is second to none; food was average but very reasonably priced. Would I return? Probably yes due to the excellent service, reasonable prices and wonderful ambience / venue. Waiter and manager were so kind to rectify an issue I had with a dish without hesitation. 5 stars for the service.
G. R.
We had a wonderful experience visiting Dishoom Kings cross for our family Diwali party. We had the lamb nihari, chilli chicken, gunpowder potatoes, lamb samosa, lamb pepper fry, chaat and so many more. The cheese naan was unbelievably good! Super cheesy!
The service we received was amazing too. They were so friendly and welcoming. The waiters/ waitresses were called Ilaria - First Server, Simeone - Second Server, Alice - Manager.
Thank you for an amazing time. We will definitely be back.
O. V.
After a year of A pandemic and and not meeting up decided to go to Dishoom for a friend's 50th but more an excuse to Get together. I have been a few times but the birthday boy had never been. THE BEST DECISION EVER! The staff and especially our server, Luca, were absolutely brilliant. The food was great. The worst thing about the meal were the samosas but that was only because everything else was so good.
A special mention to Luca who took great care of us, was even more impressed when at the end of the night, we were there until closing, he had a moment to chat and mentioned he had had a really stressful day, not that you could tell from they way he looked after us. Absolute credit to the restaurant.
Thank You Dishoom. I look forward to coming back.
L. L.
Had a very good time here, I was served by Hannah and she was very kind and welcoming, she surely made this experience even better!
I ordered bacon naan, it was tasty and good portion for me, if you prefer bigger portion you can always order others that have sausage or more in the naan and it tastes good as well according to my friend.
The place isn't very big so it's a bit crowded compare to the Manchester one I have been but the service and food are still amazing, definitely recommend.
N. G.
We love Dishoom! The King's Cross branch is beautiful. We went there for breakfast and we really enjoyed. Definitely recommend this restaurant. Very good service and yummy food.
N. M.
SO GOOD! Decor is amazing, feels authentic, food was wonderful, and service was prompt. Got the naan, gunpowder potatoes (best dish we had IMO lots of flavor), paneer tikka (also yummy), and chicken ruby (delicious as well). Also tried the watermelon sherbet (refreshing!).
I. C.
Best food in London at an affordable price. Honestly had the best service possible, the best food possible and a wonderful time. I recommend that everyone visits one of their restaurants at least once in your life, you won't regret it. I'd give it 6 stars if I could.
M. G.
There was quite a long queue when we arrived but they served us a nice chai while we were waiting. After that we were able to go to the bar and our table was ready as they were serving us our drinks. We had an amazing experience, the food was very tasty. Highly recommend if you like spicy food!
M. D.
I can't fault anything, apart from, and this is a personal bugbear, enforced service charges. If I'm happy, I'm happy to leave a tip which reflects the quality of the food and service. It's always awkward (for me) to discuss removing a service charge, or having it reduced.
Now I've got the only negative out of the way, let's get onto the positives.
We had pre-booked and didn't have to wait to be seated. This is a popular place and deservedly so, so well worth booking in advance.
The food was probably one of the best Indian meals that I've had. There was just my son and me sharing a table, and we ordered a starter of Okra fries, two main courses consisting of Mutton Pepper Fry and Ruby Chicken accompanied by two garlic naan breads. We also ordered a side dish of gunpowder potatoes. The food was packed with punch and was enough to leave us pleasantly satisfied without feeling too full.
In addition to the fantastic food, the staff were pleasant and attentive.
I would definitely go back, but would hope that there is a different choice on the menu, as, considering the amount of dishes in their recipe book, the choice was limited. I would love to choose some different dishes next time.
L.
Dishoom is my favourite restaurant in London. I was introduced to dishoom when I moved to London by my colleagues when I worked in King's Cross. It sounded a bit mad to go to an Indian for breakfast but oh my god were they right!
Over the last five years I've been here and the other locations for countless work team breakfasts, birthdays and taken friends every time they visit. Everyone falls in love with dishoom, and I've never had a bad meal here.
The kings cross one is the best one for atmosphere and I always feel like the food is just a tiny bit more refined here.
Please go here and eat/drink as much as you can because its all delicious!
Recommend: bottomless chia, sausage and egg naan, espresso martinis, bloody mary, and the keema per eedu if you like liver.
J. F.
customer service friendly and knowledgeable staff....not enough seating inside....food about expensive and portions were very small.....the taste good thou....excellent wine list good selection of beers.
S. R.
Fantastic Indian flavours. We were lucky enough not to have to queue for too long. The tables were quite tight but overall a great atmosphere, service and more importantly delicious food
N. K.
I live very close to here, so I go to Dishoom very often. The place itself is very nice and the vibes are great! The staff and the administration are super kind and caring. I especially love the brunch menu, which has many delicious food range with great taste!
A. D. (.
Wrestlers naan roll is a great fusion of India with the classic British breakfast bap and the chai was amazing too definitely rate Dishoom!
K. L.
Favourite restaurant in London by a mile. Would definitely recommend booking in advance so that you can avoid the queue. Staff are extremely polite and helpful and it is one the best service in London. The food is delicious and I would recommend going back a couple of times just so you can try everything!
W. V.
I was impressed with the food there. They offer various dishes of tasty Indian food, similar to the concept of tapas. This allowed our table to try a bit of many dishes.
The good thing is I tried and appreciated many dishes I would never have tried in an ordinary style Indian restaurant.
The decor and layout is also impressive and service was fast and responsive.
I would defiantly return and recommend it to others.
P. S.
Really nice location, the restaurant has a great feel for a fusion of Persian, Indian and British cuisine. I had the vegan Bombay breakfast which was very nice. The only downside is that the place appeared to be understaffed
C. S.
A very nice environment, lovely food and the service was exceptional, I did not catch our waitress name, but the American accent is the giveaway, she was brilliant, knowledgeable and helpful. On arrival and throughout our lovely host Lureasa was amazing, a great attitude, funny, very polite with a fun edginess that was perfect of the location, a perfect role for her and such a delightful person. Thank you to all the team for such a lovely experience, my daughter and partner also loved it.
S. H. (.
The customer service was exceptional! I really appreciate how I was accommodated and served, very efficient and friendly :)
Food was mostly good too. Really enjoyed the okra fries, veg samosas and house chaat. The prawns were nice but was a bit disappointed that they weren't opened to be cleaned.
The black daal was a bit salty but still good. The lamb chops were disappointing as most of the chop was squishy fat that I of course didn't eat! So the edible part was minimal.
Would definitely go back to try other stuff :)
Bonus: All meals on the lunchtime menu are halal
A. R.
The staff are very polite but unfortunately the food and wait between order and food lets the place down, the portions are quite small.
Some indication of spice would be incredibly helpful as well. We were sat at a small table in the corner, we agreed to a lower table but it felt like we were very isolated and felt ignored.
In conclusion, For the price it would be nice to have quicker service, more food and the water jug to be left at the table please!
L. S.
OMG just had lunch here. Never experience Dishoom before. From standing at the door to leaving. All staff I mean all staff were attentive, not precious, not role specific Customer service at its best. Honestly one of my best experiences for a longtime (restaurant). The food ,taste timing perfect.Flavors yummy. Very impressed and so very glad to see you have a restaurant in Manchester. Better if it were Chester !! but I will travel. Well done all involved in deliverying. Thank you!!
B. S.
Went for late lunch and had the chicken berry Britannia biryani. It was delicious! Great cocktails as well, I had their own take on the espresso martini. Yum! Would recommend
M. F.
There will always be a queue on a Friday night but it’s worth it. After an initial queue outside(with chai to warm you up), you can wait at the bar for your table to be ready and they have a nice selection of creative cocktails. The popularity of the restaurant speaks for itself, food is delicious and plentiful. It does get loud inside but it wasn’t a problem for us.
W. L.
food was great and service was even better! big shout out & thanks to the waiter who serviced our table for making it a truly impeccable experience. in fact all the staff there who we interacted with were simply faultless
C. C.
Booked a table towards the end of the afternoon over the Valentine's Day weekend. Not my first visit to Dishoom, but it was my girlfriend's, and I'd not been to this branch. The staff were all impeccably friendly and helpful, explaining the menu, recommending dishes etc, even making adjustments (no coriander) on request. They also noticed without prompting that my girlfriend was not enjoying the soft drink she had ordered and proactively offered her something else free of charge without us asking (we wouldn't have done). All the food was top drawer, especially the signature black dhal and chicken curry. Fried okra was an interesting twist on a starter too. I had a fantastic 'hop butter cream' cocktail, which I'd definitely have again. Lastly my girlfriend had the chocolate pudding with chilli ice cream which was a hit. 100% recommended - do visit, you won't regret it.
A. B.
Dishoom has been a restaurant that i always wanted to go in london, finally i had a chance to dine in with my family few wks back, a place where we could get a great ambience with a great antique interiors and no words to say about the food , every dish had a spectacular flavours with an unique taste which could suits all the diverse groups , i really appreciate who works behind the restaurant for the magical touch in recipes.
J. F.
In love with the food
Great delightful taste
Try put he chana salad in love with it
And not to forget the kasmiri chilli ice cream
A. D.
Just glorious. Delicious coffee and the egg and bacon naan roll - featuring bright orange egg yolk, crisp fresh naan, bright sparks of coriander, sweet and mildly spicy chilli jam and chewy, flavourful smoked bacon - absolute heaven. I may never order anything else.
P. B.
We went to Dishoom for dinner to celebrate graduation. By far one of my favorite Indian restaurants in the country. I love their paneer pineapple tikka - it is so good with the garlic naan. I also definitely recommend their jackfruit biryani (my favorite thing off of the all day menu). Their bottomless house chai is such a great deal! The staff are so lovely and the service is very fast.
R.
My friend and I went without a reservation but we only had to wait for around 30 minutes to get a seat. The ambience and service were great, even when waiting. The food was absolutely delicious (guaranteed by my Indian friend) and came very close to what you would find locally in India. We were surprised by the variety on the menu. Would definitely recommend.

Noisy. Unable to move us to a quieter spot, but they did try, particularly as it was Christmas. Staff were fully attentive and nothing went wrong. I was even persuaded to change my choice of desert which was a great recommendation from Victor. Superb waiter, kept us watered throughout the evening. Food was delicious and portions were reasonable, order an extra dish if you're hungry, I recommend the black daal! I was allowed to keep my menu which I am studying. Will definitely return perhaps when the festive season is over.
C.
Really enjoyed the food. Everything was great. Totally recommend it!
A. F.
Completely authentic Indian, absolutely gorgeous! The food is reasonably priced & just like the best dishes one gets in India, but with improved presentation and hygiene. (Don’t go expecting to stand Anglicised Indian fare one gets at a typical Indian restaurant here in the UK.) I also think this branch has the best decor.
n. b.
Really good food and service! Plenty veggie and some good vegan options too! Highly recommend!
R. M.
Interesting dishes on the menu. Very interesting decor. We'll trained wait or who made it a memorable dinner experience.

Can not go wrong with a dishoom breakfast.
As usual the kejriwal was perfect. Soft eggs, a bit of spice and a good amount of cheese. Perfect!
The sweet uttapam stack was something new for me. I found it quite heavy and not to my taste.
I tried my partners vegan sausages (as I was debating the vegan naan roll) - I didn’t think they were particularly tasty vegan sausages and quite dry.
The chai was excellent as usual.
Service was a bit slow in this occasion and we had to ask for water about 4 times before we received any, and it was never topped up.

Second time visiting Dishoom in King's Cross. Great atmosphere, very clean, great food and drink. Also friendly staff and great service.
J. T. C.
First of all: book first! Otherwise you’ll have to wait at least 90 minutes to have a table. The food is quite good with deep flavours and different recipes. It’s not my favourite Indian restaurant in London, but worth the visit as the prices have a good value for the quality. The staff is so kind, gentle and quick.
E. C.
Must visit, but you would need to book. Food delicious, very good value for money
A. K.
Food was absolutely amazing, but it was a long wait. We ordered at 12pm and food took 40mins to come out. No nibbles offered in the meantime and waiters weren't particularly attentive. The wrong order came our table at one point. In the end, we decline the service charge which the staff seems to take personally and rather than any apologies, we were told to expect long delays around the lunch time rush...
N. S.
Food here is delicious. Service is attentive and quick. The atmosphere is buzzing and the entering is stylish and ‘rustic’ at the same time. Personally, I think it’s overpriced hence the 4 stars.
T. Y.
Dishoom - as always. Top, top quality. Turned up Sunday night without a booking. Chilled in downstairs Bar for a bit. Had a drink... though it is a shame Farfar is no longer served as a Beer snack!! Bring it back!! Meal was fantastic - Bhindi fries, lamb chops, House Black daal makhani, and Muslim style Lamb Nihari with naan and biryani. All v.v.good! Dessert - Mango kulfi on a stick and Thums Up cola. Naans on repeat and kept coming out relatively quickly. THOROUGHLY ENJOYED. RECOMMEND.
L. D.
Best Indian restaurant we have ever been to. We could have easily ordered everything on the menu, it all looked that good. Our waiter Craig was very knowledgable and attentive.
B. T.
Went for brunch. Great food, very slow service. Food and drinks both took ages to arrive to the table. Had to ask three times for sugar for my coffee, received it after 15 minutes and my coffee was cold

Visited at the start of November and have never had a bad meal at any of the restaurants - but just had to say in particular this time that our waiter Tanvir was AMAZING. He went above and beyond to make our evening really special, such a lovely person with great chat and recommendations. There was also another guy who was hosting (I didn't catch his name, he was wearing an orange shirt at the time!) and he was equally brilliant. Can't sing their praises enough. The food is always worth the wait, everything was so delicious. LOVE Dishoom and can't wait to come back, hopefully to see these guys again. :-)
C. S.
Incredible food , great service and amazing atmosphere. Great location if based near kingscross . Very traditional Indian style food and similar to tapas in delivery
M. I.
Delicious and excellent service. Highly recommended.
Can't wait for my next visit!
B. T.
Very very good food. Very delicious Indian dishes which are very different from anything I have ever tried before. Breakfast are very delicious, lunches are amazing. You should try this food it is really good. I also bought a book from a chief from this restaurant , and i felt amazing energy from it. I can’t wait to cook some dishes from his book.❤️
N. N. J.
Yummy!!!....It lived to its name. We had heard a lot about it. We are here in UK for around 15 years and couldn't go there. We are North Indians and love food.
We got lucky. Turned in without reservation and got a seat in 20 mins. Others had to wait for 45 mins to an hour. Reservation is the right choice with this named and famed Indian restaurant.
Ambience was brilliant....took us to memory lane down to Delhi...
Food 20 /10....yes you read it right. I got the taste that I get only in India. Wow must say that was Authentic. We had Paneer wrap and Chole Puri!!!!
Must go...with reservation.
R. S.
Visited last night for the first time, received at warm welcome at reception and was guaranteed food even if I got there late. The restaurant itself is very nice located, and the inside very characteristic. The waiter who served us was very patient and helpful with the menu, food quality was good. Okra fries recommended. Recommended if you're in Central and fancy some quality spicy food without spending too much.
T. V. (.
Some of the best Indian food was made at this joint. It's a pity the have closed but I really hope their other restaurants thrive as they have potential to be the best Indian restaurant in London. Yours truly @fooderarri
T. K.
It felt a lot more busier and not as nice as other Dishoom branches in my opinion, however the food was still as good as ever.
S. M.
Lucky to get in. Very tasty and very nice Service.
C. T.
Went here as I heard very good reviews and I can honestly say I’m going here much more often. The double bacon naan roll was delicious and the chai tea is amazing (not to mention its l free refills!!) would definitely recommend it
R. B.
I truly think this is my favorite restaurant in all of London. Food is incredible and the customer service is somehow even better. You will have no regrets coming here!
N. L.
Fantastic bombay cafe food and even better drinks. Always worth the wait and fast and friendly service to boot 👢. As well as the cool quirky layout and decoration in keeping with the Kings Cross location.
O. C.
Super good Indian food! Was able to book in advance because of covid, but books up fast so do it at least a couple days in advance. Tasty food and friendly staff. Would recommend the house black daal and mattar paneer. Good portions too. Yum yum yum.
K. A.
The service I received at dishroom was absolutely amazing. I felt like a celebrity that evening. I do not how to explain in words how special the staff made me feel especially Tanvir he provided us with a personalised customer service experience that I will never forget. He made sure our the service he provided was memorable ensuring all our needs at met during the meal. I felt like I went to a person's house for a dinner invitation that's how he made me feel. I have been to so many restaurants however this was the best service I received from a waitor. This has definitely made up for the previous experience. Thank you for arranging this evening for us.
V. Y.
Amazing food and atmosphere. One of the best, safest and cleanest places I’ve been to.
All the staff were helpful and attentive. Their menu is delicious and rich with multiple dishes. Everything we ordered tasted delicious.
I would definitely recommend. No complaints about anything. All the flavours were bursting and all of it at a very decent price.
In addition the whole premises is completely COVID safe. Every member of staff has a facemask on full time and every table has its own hand sanitiser and is separated from other tables by special visors.
M. B.
Great service. Awesome decor. Gluten free menu available. Lovely food with interesting flavour combinations. Good value.
J. A.
The food was really great, especially for those that like Asian food that's not too spicy. It's a great place to go with a group and share different plates. The service was exceptional; went on a rainy day and they provided those in the queue with drinks and umbrellas. Be prepared to wait a while though (1 hour +), but once you're in you're well looked after.
B. J.
One of the most authentic Indian food experience I have had in my life. The ambience was amazing and the food was so delicious, we kept ordering more! Huge shout out to Orlando for being a wonderful server as well. Thanks you for the delicious food and experience Dishoom!
s. c.
Wow! This is hands down one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in London! It’s more of an experience rather than simply a restaurant.
The decor is super cool and we felt like we were transported back to a fancy train carriage in the 20s!
The food was fantastic, we got a few dishes to share, as recommended by our waitress. We ordered the jackfruit biryani, the black daal, mattar paneer, house chaat and the garlic naan and my friend also tried the kala Khatta gola ice. Everything was absolutely amazing and we loved every bite. I especially enjoyed the Mattar paneer and the chaat( the potatoes were crispy and the yoghurt sauce was tangy and sweet).
Service was also really good, our server helped us navigate the menu.
Overall, just a really cool experience and would definitely recommend coming here if you’re looking to try something new.
C. D.
Our Saturday go-to. The food is excellent, service is amazing too. Everything on the menu is delicious 👌🏼 Ochra fries 😍
V. P.
Lovely restaurant and atmosphere. Would've been 5 stars but one scoop of ice cream in the dessert dishes? Ridiculous penny pinching. Silly thing but it'll probably stop me from returning.
S. S.
The food was okay, no better or worse than any local Indian in Kent really. Service was good, the staff were very attentive.
The main thing that put me off was the noise level. The place was full and the acoustics were such that I found it difficult to hold a conversation with the person next to me, let alone anyone else on our table.
If you are going, book well in advance, the queue for people who didn't would have made me turn around and go elsewhere if we turned up unannounced.
M. S.
Food is amazing, staff are clearly much busier than is practical but they tried super hard to make sure we had everything we needed. Advise booking to avoid disappointment/standing outside for a long time.
S. A.
The food here is excellent. Very tasty, great choice and good value for the entire month of August- eat out to help out 👊 The samosas, okra fries and Chilli Chicken were great and the chicken Biryani and Nihari were absolutely fantastic!! Great cocktails too, a must try is the Bolly Bellini and Viceroy Old Fashioned.Staff are very friendly and helpful!!
G. Q.
Have visited Dishoom King's Cross many times before and it is one of my favourite Indian restuarants in London which hits full marks on food, drinks, venue and staff/service. The Bombay style food served here is going to be some of the best food you try outside of India. All their dishes have brillaint layering of spices which builds up to make delicious, bold and comforting food you will just keep going back for. Dishes to definitely are the Chilli Chicken (for spice lovers), Nihari (slow cooked lamb shank) and the Mutton Pepper Fry (a reduced down curry to make an intense gravy with soft and flavoursome mutton pieces), all mopped up with some naan and roomali roti... Can't beat it! The staff and service as always are great, they make you feel instantly welcome and you won't be waiting long to be served your drinks and food. A restaurant you definitely must try!
A.
Another fantastic meal at Dishoom after having previously visited the Covent Garden branch. The design, layout and attention to detail is at an even higher level here with so much to take in before even sampling the food. We visited not long after restaurants reopened post lockdown and the staff could not have been any more professional and welcoming. In terms of the food, you can order practically any dish and not be disappointed. The berry chicken biriyani, pav bhaji and black dahl are highly recommended. Fantastic experinece and look forward to my next visit.
S. H.
Service was amazing here!!! Specifically our sever Michail was very polite and welcoming, he took very good care of us.The food tasted great and we enjoyed the atmosphere.
V. Q.
Service was excellent. I mentioned it was my friend’s birthday at the time of booking and the staff were so wonderful, providing a dessert at the end of the meal with a candle. The atmosphere and food was great too, but the level of attention given really made the meal. Would always return if given the opportunity.
S. C.
Can’t complain. Everything was amazing. Good service.
E. S. P.
Amazing Indian restaurant in kings cross! I have been here multiple times and always had a lovely experience. Great, tasty options with several vegetarian dishes and lovely cocktails. This restaurant doesn't accept reservations, so expect to be queing for quite a bit before being able to enter. Once there, you are usually brought downstairs to enjoy your drink. After about 20 minutes, a member of staff will come and walk you to your table. Despite this, I would still recommend this place for good Indian food!
R. D.
Brilliant from start to finish. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. Order was taken swiftly and really helped as we had a toddler with us. They have high chairs for little ones and also changing facilities for little ones are located in the disabled toilets but that is on the lower ground floor.
All of the food came out quickly and was delicious. Will be back again.
J. C.
Great food as always and the staff are outstanding😍
T. S.
They knew my name as soon as I entered. Even though I was 30 minutes late, they still had my table! Service was wonderful (had Kyle) and food was amazing! Definitelt coming back to this location!
T. o.
recommended by a couple of friends. i can see why people are willing to wait.
the staff were alert and attentive, the food melts in your mouth.
V. H.
Really friendly staff. We got served by Kristina, she was very nice.
Nice concept of sharing, I enjoyed it. Food was good, full of flavour, taking us back to India. Plus, atmosphere and deco is very vibrant, full of life !
Be careful, crowded place !
A. J.
Highly important tip - the queue for dinner is around 1-1.5 hours (they don't even have chairs or a roof to stand under, you literally stand outside in the cold rain), and, unfortunately they don't take reservations for dinner, HOWEVER, they do allow dinner reservations for groups of six or more. DO IT. There's no greater mood killer than standing in the rain for an hour and a half. Another alternative is to go for breakfast or lunch, and also the Dishoom branch in Covent Garden is just as good. Of course, the rating is 5 stars because their food is absolutely amazing, the prices are very reasonable and the service is great.
F. T.
Dishoom exceeded my expectations. I was a bit skeptical because of the hype, and I'm definitely not a fan of queueing, no matter how good the place is. That said, went there early Saturday afternoon, no queue outside, but were told to wait at the bar for 30 to 40 minutes.
The wait was actually less than that. As for the food, it was pretty good. Slightly westernized flavors, but tasty. Service was quick, friendly and helpful. Very concious of allergies and dietary requirements (gluten free).
I still don't think it's worth queueing outside for, but worth a visit if the wait is short.
G. C.
I never thought of coming to an Indian restaurant for breakfast even though I’ve enjoyed quite a few meals here in the evening.
However, dropping someone off at St Pancras On Saturday morning gave us to opportunity of enjoying omelettes with chillis in like I remember from my trips to the sub-continent of India.
Glad we went as it felt very Covid-safe
J. E.
Let down to be honest. Venue is far to big, packed and noisy for my like as a restaurant. Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was for me just fair, I’ve had far better in smaller independent Indian restaurants. Cooking for what must have been over a hundred people or more has to hit the quality. Samosas most def out of a freezer from the factory.
Bottom line it’s another chain that’s overinflated it’s reputation and become a Place to go or to say you’ve been. A case of the Emperor’s new clothes me thinks.
h.
A very popular great tasting restaurant! The food is so filling but very tasty, staff are friendly and the restaurant has a very nice interior. Okra Fries are a MUST! The Chicken Ruby was delicious and always have to share some Naan. A great place to dine with a group of friends.
The breakfast is AMAZING bacon and egg roll is a must have! The big Bombay isn't so big but it's tasty!
D. K.
Sadly did not bring my brunch even though we checked with two of the servers and were assured that it was coming. The third server only checked where it was with Kitchen after it had closed for breakfast so could not prepare anything. He did offer something else (complimentary) so I did leave hungry and vouchers for future brunch but very disappointing and was a downer on an otherwise happy celebration for my daughter’s birthday. The manager did apologise but I think the chef was responsible and should have faced us. Having asked and been fobbed off by the first two members of staff was quite annoying.
D. H.
Dishoom KX never disappoints. The food is always on point. Service is friendly and efficient. Great vibe and atmosphere. Love the decor. It's a really busy restaurant especially from 5pm onwards. After 6pm you have to queue to get in. No table reservations after 6pm. Top tip book a table for 5pm or 5.30pm to avoid queueing. They do want that table back though, so be prepared for the gentle nudge out the door after you've finished
Overall still a fave in a great location. KX rejuvenation is wonderful. Lovely all year round so a gentle walk in any direction after you leave Dishoom rounds off the evening nicely.
K. H.
Very good slightly upmarket Indian restaurant in King's Cross's Granary Square district. I went with a friend for his birthday. We shared three small plates for starters. The vegetable samosas were fine, the Mumbai mixed vegetables good and the prawns tasty. For the main, I had the chicken ruby, which was excellent: succulent and very nicely spiced; whilst my friend had the chicken tikka. We shared a dal (very good) and special potatoes (ok, but nothing special). For dessert, I had the chilli ice cream (excellent) and he had a berry concoction. With one rice, two naan, one large beer, one lassi, one soft drink and one coffee, the bill (including service) was just under £110.
The restaurant is located in what appears to be an old warehouse building and is large. The atmosphere is relaxed and friendly, and the service is generally good. My one quibble - the only reason I didn't give five stars - is that the main courses were served before we had had time to eat the starters. I think it was just an error; they weren't rushing us. I would definitely return.
N. D.
The staff was very friendly and thank you to our waiter in particular who made sure we were able to order breakfast before the menus changed for lunch! Loved the food and the beautiful interior.
J. F.
Beautiful beautiful restaurant that is definitely worth the hype! I've loved Indian food all my life and have had Indian food all the way from Bangladesh to China, and from Czech Republic to France — Dishroom is authentic and doesn't pull back on the spices. The ingredients are fresh and well prepared and all of the flavors work phenomenally together. Not to mention, the service there is so professional yet so warm.
I would recommend getting here around 5 PM if you can. We got here at 5 PM, and in 20 minutes, the place started filling up. By the time we left, which was around 6:30, a long queue had formed and went around the corner of the restaurant.
A.
This is one of the most amazing restaurants to have Indian food in London. I went there without reservation but the staff managed me a seat within a minutes. I had the best Biryani and Lamb chops here. Just awesome!!!
R. S.
First visit here and will definitely return, booked pre visit based on reviews and upon arrival all the covid related procedures explained. Food was excellent especially the black dahl and the paneer roll, good IPA to match. Service throughout great.
j. F.
Love this place every time I visit...this time was given free dessert as it was my birthday 🥳
Food is amazing...especially chilli chicken...takes me back to my days of growing up in India
Service is very friendly...Definitely worth a visit
A. M.
Excellent in every way! Having lived in Pakistan for 24 years I take my Indian/Pakistani food very seriously and often found high end restaurants in the UK unable to do justice with Indian/Pakistani food. But to my surprise the food at Dhishoom was really good. The melt-in-the-mouth Paneer tikka, crisp to perfection fried okras,finger-licking-good lamb curry and black daal , and the best of all, the Biryani!!! The service was excellent; the server was friendly, and gave great food and drinks suggestions. Loved every bit of my dinner experience. Oh the incense burner and those black-and-white photographs and the slogan on the wall, I can't get over how awesome it was!!!
Q. T.
Great Indian restaurant with great atmosphere. Super busy! We had a festive feast meal and all the dishes are great! The Naan, salad and another yogurt dish are unlimited. Service is friendly as well! Would recommend chicken ruby lamb boti kebab. Really delicious! Bun musks pudding is amazing with a flavour of cinnamon showing the Christmas spirit!
R. P.
Had a marvelous brunch here. I went for the "big Bombay" which is like a full English but with Indian flavours. The bacon and sausages were delicious, the scrambled eggs delightfully curried, spicy beans, chilli jam for the rolls, all top notch. My partner opted for a sausage Naan roll - again most excellent. The portions are generous and the price extremely reasonable. Highly recommended.
L. F.
Dishoom always delivers, great food, great service and this time, everything in place to make you feel safe. We had an array of dishes and we loved them all. Mouthwatering, full of flavours and filling. All staff was super attentive. The cocktails and the house wine were perfect.
Overall, I love this King Cross branch, spacious, trendy and safe, it did feel safe!
A. B.
Hands down one of the top restaurants in London for me. It’s a more upscale Indian restaurant with their own twist. Highly recommend making a reservation. If not, waiting while having one of their delicious cocktails always helps. I went for dinner and breakfast during my visit. Their breakfast always has a special place in my heart and I’d recommend it to anyone. This picture was taken when I visited last year.
M. V.
As I was moving to London, of all the restaurant recommendations I received, there was only one that *everyone* said I could not miss, and that was Dishoom. I heard incredible things, and this place is just that. It’s an absolute must
J. M.
This place is just magical! Despite the long wait outside, you will be transported to India as soon as you enter the premises. The smell of incense combined with the food takes you far away on holidays. Quality of food is top notch and flavours incredible! Can’t wait to go back.
v. m.
Being an Indian I can tell that the taste of food is not as good as their history, theme and interiors of the restaurant..!!!! If you are going only for taste then there are many better options available in London..!!! But still worth a visit...!!
s. r.
I went to the above restaurant 21/09/21. I haven’t been in the UK for the last 2 years because of COVID.
I have to say it was one of the most enjoyable dinning experiences I’ve ever had. We hadn’t understood the booking system so turned up at 6pm thinking we were never going to get in.
However thanks to how they’ve organised the restaurant and more importantly how the staff interacted with us meant that by 7:15 I’d had some lovely cocktails and myself and my family were tucking into the delicious food.
I would recommend you to anyone.
We are coming back in November so hopefully we can book.
Please thank all the staff for a wonderful evening.
L. V.
Best Indian food in London. Never go
Wrong with the drink “the traditional” and the great variety of food from Bombay. Just a little bit busy and we need to reserve a table
A. V.
I dined with a group of friends at this fabulous restaurant mid-November and we all experienced the best Asian meal in London. The decor is so tasteful, the food was even more tasty and our waiter, Fadil was professional, attentive , knowledgeable and friendly. I can't wait for my next meal at this fantastic venue with super staff.
K. P.
We went for breakfast. We got there for 1030 without a booking and got in straight away. I had the vegan breakfast and vegan sausage kathi roll. My friend had a poached egg (I think).
For me the flavours I wanted were not there I much prefer the lunch options which I would come back for again. I will not come back for breakfast. If I had lunch I am sure I would rate it 4 star at least.
C.
Had a really good time at Dishoom! Alberto, our server presented really well all the dishes and also made some recommendations! All the dishes came really fresh and very quick! Place also looks really cool! Will definitely be back !
A. M.
A wonderful setting for amazing Indian food. Be warned though, long queues to get a table unless you plan ahead
E. H.
It goes without saying that dishoom serves really amazing food. From their Murgh Malai to their Rotis, each dish complements each other to create an explosion of flavour in your mouth.
What really makes Kings Cross' Dishoom ever more fascinating however is its beautiful interiors. Embracing the history of the industrial Victorian Warehouse (or to Bombayites, a Godown) The space truly transcends through time. It covers three floors, all of which enhance the restaurant experience through the meticulous balance of the old building and the image of Dishoom itself. This is carried throughout the restaurant, even to their toilets!
Its situated opposite Coal Drops Yard, making it a great place to have a meal after enjoying a visit around the nearby stores and a walk along the canal.
F. M.
I was here today for lunch. I had pav bhaji & khichia & chundo for starters, grilled prawns & mattar paneer. For drinks I had khala katta sharbat & virgin maidan mojito.
Before being seated we had to wait around 15-20 mins. But while we were waiting, we were served some nice Indian tea whilst standing outside.
Excellent service, beautiful food & yeah will def be coming back.
H. A.
better then average food. Had to wait long time for a table as we never had one booked. My advise is to book table before visiting its very busy even on a Monday.
S. P.
Great food. Good service. Was able to book in advance so saved myself the two hour wait. Order a mix of veg and meat food.
C. C.
Great place, great ambience and amazing Old Fashioned cocktails. The food itself was tasty, but the Lamb didn’t fall of the bone (as promised in the menu) - hence the 4 stars. Would definitely visit again however and maybe try the Grill specialties instead.
K. K.
Absolutely delightful. Great service. Great food. When we arrived, there was a line outside and we were told that we would need to wait 1.25 hours for a table for 3. We decided to chance it and only waited 20 min. Once inside, the food was great and very exotic. My friend tried the lamb brain. Two thumbs up!!
A. P.
As satisfied as with my previous in Shoreditch: the service here is flawless, and brings the dining experience to another level! We came to celebrate a friend’s exam, and the staff got even more caring and treated her to dessert, in addition to drinks for lining outside (we had booked but they ran a little late). Incredible!
The flavours of dishes are exquisite, we share 6 plates for 3 (usually they advise 2-3 per person) and it was perfect for not too hungry people!
The ruby chicken and vegetable side were my favourites this time, and if you like very strong dark chocolate go for their fondant served with an intense cinnamon ice cream!!
J. G.
If you like Indian food - that's your restaurant. A fine, delectable and unique experience. Highly recommended to book in advance as with the queue here you can wait for an hour at least.
The place is fit to disables.
Not a dog friendly.
Enjoy your stay :)
K. N.
Brilliant and very reasonably priced Bombay-Style chain of restaurants. The King's Cross branch is particularly beautiful. It feels like you're actually in Bombay! It's really big too. I am told it can seat 380 people at one time over its 3 level floors.
The food is phenomenal. I highly recommend a combination of grills to go with the curry. The Murgh Malai is a particular favourite among staff - tender and steeped in a creamy garlic, ginger, and coriander stems.
Speaking of staff, they were incredibly welcoming and friendly. They asked me how my day is going and went the extra mile to tell me their favourite dishes on the menu.
Unsurprisingly, it's really popular even on Sunday lunchtime and you can expect to queue up to 30 minutes. Only walk-ins allowed, unfortunately. But the wait is worth it. You can order a drink at the bar with a cocktail before they tell you your table is ready. I highly recommend Dishoom for any occasion, be it dates, mates meetups, or an anniversary.
M. A.
Best Indian food I have ever had! I visited Dishoom with my friend who is a vegan and was happy to find that they had a vegan menu! Also I have a dairy intolerance and to my surprise the waiter pulled out a dairy free menu! Not something I find often!! The food was great and a good portion size. Before we got our food we were warned that it would be spicy and as my friend doesn't tolerate spicy food well the waiter brought over a side bowl of soya yoghurt, which we we not charged for. I will definitely be going back and really recommend this place for vegans and dairy intolerant people! 💕
A. k.
Its always great to dine in Dishoom, but this branch is really special. The staff are super friendly. Recommended 👍🏼
F. C.
This restaurant truly changed my perception of Indian cuisine. The interior design is nice, and the bar served both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. Food was great, especially the ruby chicken!
W. N.
Amazing Indian restaurant in London. Friendly and multi cultural staff. I always come when I visit London. Order Okra Fries for entry, very nice finger food to start the night. For drink, get the house chai, specially during winter.
S. B.
Lots of atmosphere, multiple spaces where you can eat tasty Indian food. Staff are also very helpful and friendly. Bars and dining sections. Some outdoor also. Great cocktails too!
G. P.
Had a lovely dinner here with a group of friends to celebrate a birthday. We ordered a bunch of plates to share from the menu and were not disappointed! The food is Iranian Bombay, so slightly different from traditional Indian food, but I thought that was better! Something for everyone for sure- the vegetarians were happy, the spice lovers were happy, and even the picky eaters were happy. Our server was really knowledgeable and talked us through the menu and answered our questions like a pro. I’d definitely recommend! Plus, If you’re a group of six or more you can make a reservation and save yourself the wait!
Z. S.
Just love Dishoom - the vibe, style, music (they sell their own fusion vinyl!) and of course the food :) Wholesome, authentic and great for sharing. Recommend: Chole Puri, okra fingers, tandoor paneer & pineapple, chilli chicken and the bhel. And the house chai is a must! (It’s constantly topped up too)
K. S.
Been to Dishoom many times for dinner but this was my first time having brunch there.
It is one of my favourite Indian restaurants. I love the 1920s/30s Bombay decor. It is a great place to meet up with friends for a catch up.
There is a reasonable choice of dishes for brunch; many are the traditional brunch dishes but with an Indian take on them.
I had the akuri dish with a side of masala beans which were delicious.
The service we received was excellent.
I recommending booking a table as there always of queue of people trying to get in whenever i go.
M. Z.
Dishoom is very busy for a reason... The food, atmosphere and service is amazing. Loved the mutton pepper fry.
Can't wait to try the breakfast there at some point.

Given the hype I’d heard for this place and the ridiculous waiting queues, my expectations were a high. The food was good, but I wouldn’t say mind blowing amazing. I would recommend Ruby Red Chicken and naan. If you know your briyani then you probably would not be a fan of the briyani here.
D. N.
Excellent. Everything about this place is absolutely great - the vibe, the service, the interior, the menu... and omg, the food is incredible. It’s extremely popular, so be prepared to wait for a table... it seems approx. one hour is the standard. The staff are really nice, they hand out umbrellas and hot drinks for the people standing in the line. They are also incredibly helpful. The space is amazing, definitely one of the coolest places I’ve ever been to.

I never knew, dinning can be an experience that not just tingle your taste buds, but also takes you on a ride, a journey back in-time, in a period where the East India Company was still a thing and when the Parsi's (Zoroastrians) in India made the best of what was then and has been for years known as a Irani Café.
Ok, so if you don't have a reservation, which most people don't, you have to wait. Wait in a long line. Perhaps even up to 2 hours. But while you wait, you can't help think, why am I waiting here? What is it about this place that makes me wait in the line like I'm about to get an iPhone from Steve Jobs when I go inside. You wait and wonder while sipping on some Classic Irani Chai. And before you get an answer, you will be inside, again waiting perhaps, but this time with a buzzer.. ooooh... technology... yesss.. but as you wait and look at the ambience, the setup of the restaurant, you start to understand, why you waited for so long, why everyone with you waited for so long. Why though there is no iPhone or meeting Steve Jobs at the end, still worth the wait. And then it happens, the buzzer disco's and your heart skips a beat. Mine did, 2, no 3, ok fine 2.5 beats, I counted and then you are walked up to the table, where the lighting is moody and inviting, where the rest of the resturant is waiving out, hey, look at me, look at me, I'm part of history. The server/waiter/the-person-who-will-make-me-happy, comes to the table and takes your order. Oooh we are getting very close. You ask for suggestions, you ask questions, they answer with a smile, give you their bit, and then you decide and say, give me some of that... oooh yes, and as the food is making it's way from the fresh kitchen, where the Chef and Sous Chefs prepare the magic, the wait suddenly ends. The smell, the appearance it all makes sense. The plate is now full. The wait was worth it. And as you take a bite, satisfaction runs through your veins and you close your eyes in disbelief, and reopen them, and look around, and close them again. You keep doing this until it slowly sinks in, yes, you are actually eating something that tingles your tastebuds so much, it's creating a que outside the resturant. But you care less, because you have made it to the end, and the end couldn't be sweeter than a Kulfi or the Kheer, or the Chocolate Pudding and you decide to get them all and you eat them all, and you feel fat, but you dont care, cause all you want to do, is leave such a review at the end, of an experience that will take you on a journey, a journey that simply can not be experienced without being here!
Not that this is required, but My Wife and I Highly Recommend experiencing this magical wonderland for Foodies!

Lovely breakfast meal with colleagues.
Staff very helpful and engaging. Food was yummy seating was comfy. Will return for another meal. Very busy restaurant. Close to Kingscross railway station.

This is one of the finest places I have ever been to in my life. Absolutely worth every penny! The vibe is insanely awesome & you get into a different world with the delicious food these guys serve. I can go back to London every week to just experience the awesomeness of Dishoom!!!
D. M.
My expectations were so highly set for this restaurant. Since moving to Europe 2 years ago I have heard none stop that “you have to go to London and eat at dishoom!” from countless recommendations. We were not disappointed! Even though they messed up our order and forgot dishes 3 times then brought an extra by accident, the food was 5/5. Lovely dining experience!
C. P.
Absolutely perfect ! Impeccable customer service - attentive without being pushy . The food was faultless - good value too
S. L.
This is heaven for a person who is from India and misses Indian food. Also, a perfect place for everyone to try out Indian food, the spices are just perfect, honestly. Love it!
A. A.
The service was very good. Staff was excellent, Iga made me and my brother feel very welcome. She made us feel comfortable and also made us feel at home, she kept coming back to make sure we were fed properly. Thank you so much Iga and Dishoom for such a pleasant experience.
N. N.
Great customer service, thanks everyone that make my friends birthday amazing and beautiful.

Gotta be one of the best restaurants in the are. Nice prices too (alcohol not included in this comment). A short wait to be seated and the staff managed to get us a bigger table at a second's notice. Food arrive pretty sharpish and the very short wait was definitely worth it.
Luv the place. 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿

What can I say definitely lives up to the hype
Quality over quantity i would say.
The decor is stunning and amazing atmosphere
Highly recommend experiencing Dishoom
R. B.
One of the best Indian restaurants. I wish I could give the rating more than 5 😊
Dal is so yummy that you get this taste only in one of the best restaurants in India let alone getting it in London.
Staff is super friendly and free chai in waiting queue is so delicious. Full of flavors and masala....
Guys you should start your chain in India as well !
Real justice to Indian food 👌👍🏻
J. E.
I can't say enough nice things! We had a hen do brunch planned, and minus a few hiccups, they really took care of us. We were able to set up balloons outside and the staff were amazingly sweet and attentive. The food was so tasty, had the pita sausage roll. Highly recommend but make reservations if you can.
A. S.
Fantastic food and a really nicely designed setting. Was a lovely place to enjoy a nice lunch
N. P.
Really nice food. We went there for lunch and had chicken tikka, plain rice, chicken biryani and green veg. We also had chai. The restaurant offers a separate dairy-free and gluten-free menus which was really helpful. The service was good, our waiter was friendly and helpful. We had a slow lunch chatting and drinking tea and we weren't rushed. I would definitely go back.
M. M.
This place is amazing! Very trendy environment (used to be an old train station) and excellent service. The portion sizes are very decent so you'll leave satisfied. The flavors are full bodied, aromatic and spicy. And just importantly, delicious. I would highly recommend coming here but make reservations (they don't take same day reservations) because without reservations, be prepared for a wait for up to 1hr30 min if you go during prime dinner time. We made 3 attempts before being able to get a seat and for our successful attempt we arrived at 520pm.
G. M.
Always great food. Apparently, you can book a table pre 6pm. Fortunately, we managed to squeeze in.
A. K.
The best Indian food I've ever had in London. The chef's special (lamb's brain) isn't for everyone, but it's soft, tender and delicious. The food here isn't anywhere near as oily as other Indian takeaways and whilst it is has a kick to it, you can definitely tolerate it. Highly recommended!
K. G.
Great experience at Dishoom King's Cross. We had to wait a bit at the bar, but much less than the estimated 45' time (for late lunch, not dinner, mind you). Everything that we tried was fantastic. With three small plates, three big plates, a bag of chips, a lemonade (plus coffee and desert) and some naan bread, we paid around £65 - not bad at all for how tasty the food is. If you can, try to book online before you appear there. The queue can be intimidating. 😊
A. B. (.
Great food, I like the story behind the restaurant
A. C.
Wow! Wow! Wow! I can’t get enough of this place ever. This place made me fall in love with the indian food!! So authentic! Make sure you reserve a table if you go before 5pm, otherwise the queue might take 30-40 mins. Definitely a must try!
p. k.
Loved the food. Very authentic Indian restaurant. Although very few options available for vegetarians, I loved the quality of the food. Crispy Oakra, Paneer rolls were good. They ask you to buy 2-3 portions of different items. On the whole good experience. I recommend this.
I. N.
The place is huge and because of that I thought it might be hard to keep the quality at top with the demand.
I was positively surprised.
Food is great . New tastes you might haven’t try ever before .
Ruby chicken , chocolate chai and the special black Dahl is definitely something must have.
Clean and tidy just maybe a bit not much space to move around .
Great food experience- strongly recommended!!
L. C.
i finally managed to try Dishoom breakfast, after having enjoyed their main menu several times. and it did live up to the hype. my egg and bacon naan roll was so fluffy and luxurious, it just made my day!
r. b.
A wonderful time and a great meal - the service was good although our starters were messed up - all the staff were knowledgeable and friendly - the toilets were clean but a long way away from the first floor - the building is amazing and this gives you a great atmosphere - I was surprised by the 12.5 percent service charge something to think about - the chilli in the mutton dish were extremely hot if fact inedible - overall we had a great time even with the service charge I believe it was a very reasonable price and good value
T. C.
Food is really nice, the black lentil dish was to die for. Westernised indian but still tasty.
Our waiter (don’t remember the name sadly the Australian guy) was really helpful and attentive kuddos! Also the guys running the food were super friendly! Will deffo go back
K. P.
The best Indian in town at the moment.
Every single Dishoom in London is unique and this one is by far my favourite - colonial / Victorian scale, ever buzzing, amazing interiors with fantastic attention to detail and food that makes you go back again and again. The queues can be long but it was worth the wait :)
J. B.
Food & service was like no other!
Craig our server explained the menu and his favourites and we ordered everything he suggested and it was all amazing! Will be back 100%
Their secret cocktail was amazing too!!! (Ask about it)
A. H.
Thank you so much for making our meal out such an incredible experience. I already knew the food was great, but then your amazing team went and made that a secondary factor - their warmth, attentiveness and friendliness made a great meal out a phenomenal experience out. 12/10
B. R.
Excellent ambience, lively crowd anytime you go there. We just had a bunch of starters and got so full that we didn't get to the main courses. There was a bit of a wait, but u get one of those blinking thingies so easy to know when ur table is ready.
W. W.
Great Indian chain, always got a long cue at meal times. I never want to cue, so I had an early dinner.
Been to other Dishoom chains, and I can vouch for the quality. Great atmosphere inside.
H. B.
Fantastic Indian style breakfast, I had the Indian full English breakfast with the curry beans and they were delicious!
K. D.
There are certain items on the menu that really hit the spot, however most of it don’t have that wow factor. What is going for Dishoom is it’s interior design and ambience . Food is priced high, is it worth ??? Maybe a one time experience
N. A.
Top Indian food in London !! WELL DESERVED .. One of the best Indian restaurants I’ve ever visited in my life !!
Go for Ruby Chicken, Cheese Naan & Biryani ..
Don’t miss their Chai !!
Book in advance to avoid the queue .. They get busy most of the time ..
T. C.
King’s Cross Dishoom interior is really nice, an old factory turned into a restaurant- I liked the feel. BUT It took us more than 45minutes to get our food... They were good but I was getting really really impatient.
T. A.
I would give this place a 6 star for service if it was possible. They accommodated us despite being full with a smile. The service by Chris was exceptional. Smiling, warm and attentive. Food was good but we would have liked a slightly larger menu. Great place for breakfast though we will be back
S. L. L.
We were lucky enough to get a 5-person seats without any reservations. Food took kinda long to serve. Staffs are very friendly and they are more than happy to recommend you the dishes that you must try. ☺️
C. D.
Wow. This place is incredible. I've now come here two nights in a row and may come back a third time before I head back to the States. They have really good cocktails, a fun atmosphere, and every dish - both meat and vegetarian - is cooked perfectly and full of flavor.
M. D.
Best experience ever! I have recently been diagnosed with breast cancer and my husband wanted us to have a night to enjoy good food and company, Dishoom not only allowed us to book a table so I wouldn’t have to wait in a long queue, their service was exceptional and the team made me feel super special! To top it off the vegan menu was AMAZING! What a night and what a place! Thank you Dishoom Kings Cross.
M.
Food was average, seating area and decor was nice. Couldn’t fault the service. Not sure if food taste justified £72 for two people during a working lunch.
T.
I had such a lovely first time eating at Dishoom. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary which he stated on the reservation. We were greeted Happy anniversary at our arrival, the interior and setting was very aesthetic and cosy whilst walking through. We were seated in the corner where we requested, there was an incense lit right next to us which was triggering my allergies and was handled appropriately by the staff who put it out and told other staff not to light it in our area which was very small but thoughtful!
The food was amazing, we had the paneer curry, ruby chicken curry, the Britannia rice, gunpowder potatoes, cheese naan which was enough for us and very filling! We also had the rose lassi and chocolate chai, I preferred the lassi more though.
To end the evening they surprised us with a complimentary dessert and a voucher for a breakfast naan for our next visit! We had also a lovely waiter named Marcin who was so attentive, accommodating and great to speak to! Cant wait to return :)
v. T.
Lovely restaurant, very pretty interior, did not expect this restaurant to be so big. You have to be prepare to queue as they dont take reservation. Food is delicious with great portions to shstr around the table.
O.
Awesome Indian food. Good service and great taste really like the atmosphere. I recommend going here for breakfast instead of the usual boring fried stuff you get in other establishments. Try the Karma or the nann wrap. Also the chai is the best.
P. h.
Great atmosphere. Their large vegan breakfast was good for not being a vegan restaurant. The vegan granola was delicious, so was the coffee, and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful.
N. V. A.
We had a lovely family meal here. Such excellent tasty food with brilliant service from the staff. Highly recommend.
A. P.
Visited Dishoom Kings Cross for breakfast (served from 8AM to 11.45AM on weekdays) and it did not dissapoint. The breakfast menu includes fruits, grains, breads, egg dishes and Indian staples including a bacon egg naan roll (£7.20). Surprisingly large it is a freshly cooked naan, smothered with cream cheese, tomato-chilli jam and fresh coriander, and finished off with smoked streaked bacon. Their chai tea is also formidable and highly recommended with the extra benefit of unlimited refills. The service is warm and efficient. A great spot for breakfast in the Kings Cross area.
S. s.
By far the best restaurant in town! I brought my husband here who does not eat asian food and he LOVED it. We were in a long queue and they served us cold lemonade or warm chai tea whilst waiting. When we got in, the ambience was beautiful and very laid back. Loved how you feel like you're back in the 1850's kind of vibe. Our waiter was very nice as well.
We loved all the dishes we ordered and would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to try something different! :)
S. C.
A long wait made more than bearable by excellent cocktails (particularly the negroni)
M. B.
Fantastic food. The menu can be overwhelming but the staff is usually good for some guidance. Almost always busy so expect to wait. Dessert is amazing as well. Make sure to visit the toilets just so you can properly see the whole venue!
M. D. S.
A great place to brunch. The atmosphere of this place is excellent and its brilliantly decorated. Staff are really friendly and truly give the impression that everyone gets along really well! They're super helpful and attentive. The food is great and I would recommend The Big Bombay. Only point to note is do book in advanced as it is very popular and there's always a line. They do give you tea if you wait so there's always that to look forward to if you don't.
N. D.
Delicious, different, authentic, fantastic service (we had issues with a voucher but they fixed everything and even gave us free brekkie vouchers), yummy cocktails! Most importantly, highly affordable for such an amazing restaurant. I am so coming back! Highly recommended.
H.
We came at an off peak time om a Friday and was tild we would have to wait 1 and half hours for a table. So we went home and booked a table in advance for another day, definitely book in advance with this place.
The service was amazing, the staff ware so friendly and helpful. We went as a couple but didn't expect the potion sizes to be so big, its generous but just a lot of food. We had the ruby chicken main dish and the biriyani and they tasted amazing.
b. c. s.
Absolutely superb food. Wow. Went late in the night. No waiting time. And yum yum food. Superb service and very friendly staff.
Y. F.
Love the cuisine.
Ate breakfast menu and was not disappointed.
Here are my review about this place.
Strength:
1. Delicious
2. Relatively cheap
3. Location is easy to be reached from the station
4. Good service
Weakness:
1. Long queue in certain hours.
S. C.
Much shorter wait here, probably due to the bigger space as compared to the ones at high footfall locations like Covent Garden. Loved the fact that the House Chai is refillable - although it wasn’t indicated in the menu, so do ask for a refill if you opt to have this classic tea with your meal.
P. J.
Tried a walk-in a few days ago for breakfast. They were full, but the staff lady was quite rude and direct, even though no-one was queued behind, and she was happy enough to be laughing with her collegue just after our interaction (so clearly wasn't pressed for time).
After asking if a table was there, and getting back the answer no, I simply followed up with, "well I'll be outside if something opens up in next 15 minutes", to which she replied quite rudely, "listen to what I am saying....". Turned me off from trying walk in again for breakfast, which is a pity because I do love their food. Gotta find some other place now for impromptu breakfasts.
J. H.
What a wonderful experience! I was nervous to come here for breakfast, but the food was incredible! We loved everything we had, good prices, good service, and very accommodating! They atmosphere was really nice and relaxing! I couldn’t recommend this place more!
S. G.
Amazing food and the choice for meat and vegetarians is amazing. They also cater for Vegans which is great. When you enter the restaurant you feel like you are transported to another place. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone. If you go, you must try their chai or their chocolate chai, it's delicious!
S. D. J.
Love the decor. Fab staff. Very good interpretation of a British twist to Indian cuisine. The sausage egg roll using naan as its bread is a good example of this. The chai is also very good.
F. D. P.
The inside in fantastic!
Located in the renovated area behind Kings Cross, the place is very well known so reserving in advance is highly recommend. Menu is rich of options and prices are good. Obviously, you need to like the oriental cuisine. Service is very friendly and attentive.
S. M.
It is a great place to visit! We went for a friends birthday, all the staff were super polite and helpful. In the end they let the birthday girl have a dessert on them and gave us a whole round if chai on them. I highly recommend this place, the only thing this their portions are quite small, and not all their food lives up to expectation. Overall, it was a good experience.
C. W.
Just finished an amazing meal at this restaurant. Not only was the food fantastic but our waiter, Tanvir was so welcoming and at hand with recommendations making our visit extra special.
Would definitely recommend a visit.
G. L.
The best out of the London locations - for its spaciousness and ease of getting a table.
Must try for weekend brunch: keema per eedu and the sausage naan roll (it’s not really a roll, it’s a folded pita).
S. K.
Fantastic breakfast - full of flavour and a real treat. Absolutely loved the free refills on the chai! Very quick friendly service too which is super handy of you've got a train to catch. Beautifully designed restaurant - your certainly dont gerl like you're in Kings Cross!
S. K.
I normally love this branch of dishoom, however lately they seem to be overwhelmed and this has had an impact on their customer service, with some staff coming across as abrupt at times. The food and atmosphere is great though.
I. C.
The food was great but the service was even better. Made the experience for the group amazing
J. S.
Busy location for brunch, we waited for about 30-40 minutes for a seat. Thankfully they have a seating area downstairs to sit in while waiting, and we were able to order delicious coffees/drinks while we waited!
The server was very friendly and gave some great recommendations for what to order in terms of dishes; however, he also recommended that we order 10-15 items for 5 people and we found that 6-7 items was more than enough for us to all feel full! We were also told while we waited that we would be able to order from the breakfast menu, only to find out from our server once we sat down that we could only order from the lunch menu.
The food itself was very delicious.
N. L.
Excellent okra fries, and very good curries. But a bit expensive for a proper meal (about 40-50 quids per person with moderate drinks)
S. V. M. d. O. (.
Party of five and everyone was happy with the plates both small and main. Having tried them all I would say the Keema Pau and the House Black Dhal deserves the mention the rest were nothing to write home about.
The service was prompt and cordial but be prepared to walk a long way if you wish to use the services or wash your hands.
M.
Had breakfast - the service and decor of the restaurant is fantastic. Had a few dishes which were all great, was a little disappointed with the Kejriwal. Would like to return for the Bacon Naan Roll!
V. W.
Dishoom King's Cross was the first Dishoom I've ever been to and it made me fall in love with Dishoom as a restaurant and the brand. So far, Dishoom King's Cross remain my most favorite of all Dishoom I've been to. The food is absolutely delicious. The interior design is beautiful. The atmosphere is fun and lively. Amazing service. I couldn't recommend this place enough.
R. P.
Came here for my cousins birthday - excellent service the whole way through. My sister had to leave early so they brought her food out sooner. Tea was flowing and food was yummy!

Great for any meal. The breakfast and the starters in the main menu are absolutely amazing. I visit so often I should have a membership!!😁
J. R.
Loved the historic ambience, trendy vibe, good food and caring staff. Menu is short and sweet.. Just how it should be. Bottomless chai.. who would've thought?!
M. P.
This is a collective post of appreciation, of course for Dishoom, which is a warm, delicious, welcoming, beautifully decorated and generally high quality establishment, but also for Jordan, one of the friendly waiting staff. I've been served by Jordan on multiple occasions, and thought it was about time I share what a wonderful human being he is!
On this occasion, my friends and I have never felt so cared for in a restaurant, we were very much overwhelmed by Jordan's kindness and ability to make us feel celebrated, and left our dinner feeling full, not just with spectacular food but by Jordan's genuine attentiveness, generosity, and positive energy. Amazing how one person can turn an ordinary evening into a very special and memorable one.
We love you Jordan ! We'll keep coming back.
PS Highly recommend the house chaat, for something warm, sweet and zesty, the house dhaal of course, and the prawn koliwada
P. T.
Great Indian / Iranian fusion restaurant. Urban industrial vibe, fast service, with a good selection of courses. It requires booking as there are usually hour long queues otherwise.
Z. S.
The largest of the Dishoom restaurants in London so you are more likely to be seated without a reservation. The one time we did have to wait on a cold, soggy evening, we were given umbrellas and glasses of chai to keep us dry and warm.
The space itself is wonderfully designed - it is vast, and dimly-lit for ambience. The charming decor with its hanging lamps and ceiling fans serves as a portal to industrial Bombay. All of this adds to the experience as you enjoy the excellent food inspired by the Irani cafés in India.
One of my favourite places to eat out in London. The signature black dal is so rich and it alone is enough to keep me coming back here. Five stars!
D. C.
Spectacularly good food, very highly recommended. Need to be early to get in though.
B. C.
This place definitely lived up to the hype. For breakfast, you can't go wrong with any of the naan rolls. I tried both the bacon & egg and sausage & egg naan rolls and loved them both. Prices are reasonable too!
On a weekday there was no wait, but on the weekend, we had to wait about 45 minutes so recommend you get a reservation.
A. M.
Delicious “Bombay style” cafe. I’ve never been to Bombay but it was a fun dining experience. The food made me feel like I could die happy and satisfied after we ate it all. I recommend off times for lunch, they serve the menu continually and it was wild at dinner.
U. S.
The service has got much better. They are friendly and attentive. They make the effort to accommodate requests. Breakfasts are my favourite. Usually I catch the last bit of breakfast before lunch. Some Keema Pau with chicken liver and 3 refills of the chi.
V. M.
The staff was so attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. Orlando in particular was fantastic! He gave us great recommendations. Couldn’t be happier with our experience!
A. T.
Amazing! I was with my partner in the morning for breakfast so we didn't have to wait - we were without reservation. Amazing atmosphere - from the start to the finish :) we ate breakfast - english breakfast in Indian spices - it was fusion of tastes! Highly recommend!
D. H.
So good! Great service for the group of us, very quick and friendly with the drinks and food too.
K. P.
Yo yo went here for brunch and we had the festive set menu for £30 each. The food was nice and it was enough for all of us. Also you get dessert. The food was lovely and very tasty. Not too spicy but good. The food could of been a bit hotter. Good service and excellent venue.
T. K. Z.
Dishoom were very accommodating and kind, made lots of effort for my dad’s birthday. They initially served a cold pau bhaji but this was instantly replaced when the issue was flagged.
U. R. D.
KX Dishoom is just a heady experience overall. The buzz of the place is intoxicating and the beautiful fragrance of the food keeps the juices flowing. The staff are undoubtedky busy and sometimes the service can be a bit slow. Not a major issue as you sit down, order a glass of the house chai and sip it slowly so you won't mind the delay! The delay will only build up your appetite for the delicious dishoom dishes with proper Indian flavoring and spices.
H. W.
Service was exceptional, the staff are so friendly, welcoming and can't do enough for you. Food and drink spot on and very quick service. Couldn't fault our visit.
S. V. S.
I really love the place! Amazing restaurant which vintage english Indian colony style. I felt like inside a movie. The staff were very friendly, they were serving constantly water and refilling chai and the food was very nice and quick and good value per money. I definitely will go again! I highly recommend this place in the weekend for brunch (less people).
L. F. S. S.
I can’t rate this place highly enough, whatever you order off the menu is delicious and the place has a great atmosphere too. You have to have the chai tea late, yum!
Y. S.
Really wonderful food that is so full of flavour. Have never been able to get in for a lunch or dinner because I don’t really wanna line up but breakfast is always amazing. I sat at the bar and got the Big Bombay Breakfast and the house chai and all of it was *chefs kiss*. Served by Jimmy and he was an attentive and fast server as well as doing the other million jobs he had going on behind the bar👏🏼
A. N.
Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning, good thing we had a booking because the place was packed! Restaurant is beautiful, atmosphere is great, service friendly and food was fantastic. Good twists on classic bfast dishes - we had the tofu scramble, eggs on toast with cheese, bacon naan roll and a side of masala beans. Food was delicious and served quickly. The bottomless house made chai is a must. Will definitely come back to try everything else, especially the double bacon naan. Make sure you have a booking, when we left at 11am there was a line out the door!
C. T.
Always really enjoyed our time at Dishoom King’s Cross. Your staff are very friendly and attentive. Food is amazing as always!
R. S.
A fantastic restaurant which serves up delicious food with a contemporary touch. Although the concept is quite retro which gives the experience an authentic feel, the food is spot on and leaves you wanting more! The chef’s special Nihari is my favourite. The staff is amazing and the service is great. They cater for dietary requirements with dedicated menus and the staff are fully aware. Book a table or enjoy the hospitality whilst even waiting in the queue! It’s worth it!
Okra fries- not gf and chef’s special nihari- gf.
G. C.
Its was the first time I've been there and worths the experience. What a twist to a English Breakfast. Food good and service good. I've already have plans to go back before Christmas.
D. C.
Amazing food and service. I had the lamb special curry, the meat fell off the bone and there was a whole load of condiments that made the meal so yummy on top of the original flavours
A. M. G.
This place is very unique. They have done such a fantastic job recreating the ambience and look of an indian canteen 60 years ago. The food is excellent and it truly is an experience from the moment you walk in. The incense, the old fans everywhere, the distressed walls, the signage… they have paid attention to every detail. They cater for vegans, vegetarians, gluten intolerants, everyone is welcome and bound to have a great meal with an extensive menu. I would definitely go back and recommend.
F. B.
Really good food and amazing customer service from Beth! Thank you for making our experience so special!
P. R.
Thanks Rui for your advise. Good food/price and service. I recommend. Thanks again.
M. W.
Had the best time here last night. We accidentally booked the one in Covent Garden but the hosts still found us a table even though they were fully booked. The hosts were amazing and so friendly and professional. Our server was lovely and gave so much advice on the menu and drinks and was super patient with us. The food was beautiful and everything was just all around amazing I would highly recommend this place.
C. E.
Best Indian food in London!
H. G.
You might want to book a table in advance otherwise you'll have to wait more than half an hour to be seated. But it's definitely worth it. Food is amazing, friendly staff members especially the blond bartender who helped us with the orders. Really good place.
J. V.
Great service, our waitress was absolutely lovely and so attentive. She gave us breakfast recommendations plus the food was delicious as usual
A. L.
Great great place. Like stepping back in time in Old Bombay. The service and food was great. Wonderful waitress. I will be back. Thank you Dishoom.
M. F.
Wow, amazing food. Great selection of fresh and tasty Indian dishes. Great attention. Have tried various entrance plates to share will be back to taste some more.

Probably the best place I've ever been. Absolutely incredible 1850s warehouse with ties to trade between India and Britain, has been transformed into a large atmospheric dining experience. Every single detail has been considered, and the same can be said of the food. I had a selection of the most divine dishes.
J. W.
Wonderful breakfast
I had a bacon and egg nan with a carrot and something else juice. The food was exceptionally good, the atmosphere was relaxed and the staff were lovely. A perfect place for breakfast before getting the train at King's Cross.

The best Indian food in London, everytime I eat there I experience a festival of flavours.. Must try's are the Lamb and Veg Samosas, Prawn Koliwada, Black Dal, chicken tikka, Mattar paneer, jackfruit biryani.. Not to mention the garlic Naan and the amazing lassi's.. The consistency in providing amazing food is an unmatched.. Great to for couples and large groups.. And almost forgot to mention their spicy Chai..
S. S.
Predictably good Indian food. I appreciate the simplicity of food and really like that they haven't tried to re-invent the wheel.
The drinks are good too. There's nearly always a waiting time so it would be good to be prepared for that.
D. F.
Just wonderful!
Been there for lunch, and had a great time enjoying the Bombay style decorated restaurant while eating an Indianish cuisine meal.
Chicken Biryani was an absolute stunner, and along with the raita (yogurt) this dish was excellent. The combination of rice, soft and tender chicken, yogurt, cranberries and other spices made it a great experience.
Naan and samosa was good too!
For an IPA lover the Dishoom IPA was a great combo with the chicken Biryani!

Wow. Wow. Wow. Mind absolutely blown!! What a beautiful restaurant and amazing service!! The food also.... just. Wow.!! Thank you so much for the amazing experience! Can't wait to come back again!!
L. W.
I don’t often give 5 stars but this is my favourite Indian restaurant to go to. The food is fantastic and really authentic as well. They have loads of food options for every dietary requirement. I haven’t had anything on the menu that I didn’t like. Great place, great food, great drinks. I highly recommend the paneer curry.
P. B.
Extremely attentive service, well decorated restaurant with a mix of Indian references in am industrial wharehouse. The home-made chai latte is not only delicious but also bottom-less
S. F.
I’m from Bradford (UK’s curry capital). I liked the South Indian dish Vada pav (pictured) the dose Lassi (yogurt drink) was great. the Chicken Biryani was very average as it lacked real flavour , so quite disappointed. The Murgh Mali was ok. The lamb Nihari was below average, expected better. Also they charge extra for riyata which is a crime if you’re chosen the Biryani !! Ok service. Unfortunately the food didn’t match the amazing interior deco.
A. C.
Really good Indian food in a great setting. Loved their naan as well! Do go early as the queue is terrifying at times...
J. L.
We got there on a Saturday dinner time and were lucky enough to get a table straight away. Great service and great food. I think it is very worth waiting for too. Would come back here!
J. W.
Great place for brunch, it combines the best on English and Indian kitchen in one place. Services was good and prices were ok!
r. r.
Food is definitely good. I wish they can have online reservation system on Friday and Saturdays. You need to stand in the queue and wait for your turn.
j. c.
Ever so popular restaurant. Booked for small birthday dinner. The service was excellent also the food. Lots of dishes to choose from would definitely recommend.
M. S.
The hostess was very friendly, and was more than happy to move us from outside to inside when we realised it was a bit cold once the sun had set. The server was attentive and very friendly, and the food was as delicious as ever. It's clear to see why this place commands a queue every night of the week. Get there early if you want to avoid waiting, or don't if you do not mind. Either way, it's worth it and never disappoints.
T. S.
Had a midday meal here, the wait was reasonable, as there was space to sit and chat while drinking cocktail. Service was excellent with a knowledge of the drinks and menu. We ordered a range of dishes to share. They came quickly and were very tasty. We shared sweets too and finished with coffee. The venue is an interesting blend of styles with it Indian roots.
The venue is ideal just north of kings cross over the canal, near some open space and water feature with many other eating places nearby.
D. D. R.
Only went for a quick take out breakfast naan but I inhaled it in 2min it was that good. Extremely yum!! The place looms like a cozy interior masterpiece. Staff was quick, friendly and accomodating! Prices are a bit on the upper end, but seems well worth it. There is a nice outside area as well, which looks luke it would be nice in summer for people watching in Granary Square.
F. R.
Fantastic food and even better service. The spicy corn is a definite go for. Will be back and thank you.
N.
Good atmosphere and service. The food was decent, but small portions (£12+ for 3 small lamb chops as a main). The naan wasn't too great either (thin, crispy and flakey). Drinks were quite nice though.
J. R.
A better experience at this restaurant than my last. Food was terrible at the Dishoom I went to near Oxford Circus. On this occasion the queue was out of the door (always a good sign). waited 10 minutes for a table and managed to get a seat. Friendly staff who knew how to smile and knew the menu well. Food arrived quick and was very appetising. I'd be visiting again that's for sure.
E. M.
The breakfast naan. Need I say more?! The chai. The kindness of the staff. The ambiance. Keeps me coming back time and fine again.
J. A.
The food is great and all the staff we dealt with were fantastic BUT they seriously need to address the acoustics in the restaurant. It’s uncomfortably loud and makes for not a very nice experience.
E. S.
Lovely food.Great service. Great location. Very reasonably priced considering its location. Do book early though!
C. K.
Very much enjoyed the bacon naan kits during lockdown, but nice to get back in your restaurants and have a Dhoble too...
A. S.
Most amazing welcome by ushers and service by Mr Jordan. Very tasty food and excellent portions. Very good value for money.

DISHOOM DELIGHTS US ONCE AGAIN
My other half had spent the weekend at a stag-do by the sea. Between playing footgolf, watching Greyhounds race and impressing the lads by downing 20 pints a day, the poor Munchkin clearly didn’t get the chance to eat properly. I imagine that despite his hefty frame, he’d been prodding his ribs and convincing himself he’d reached the later stages of malnutrition on the journey back to St Pancras. Fortunately for him, we’re in the right place to find a feast.
Mr. Flavour staggered onto the scene, wearily dragging his suitcase and far too hangry to risk speaking. I grabbed his hand and whisked him off to one of our true favourite eateries; Dishoom Kings Cross. Our visits to this delightful restaurant have often brought a sense of disappointment. Nothing to do with the spectacular food and service by the way, simply because it’s so damned popular that we can’t always get a table. (Mr. Flavour’s note: – I’ve rocked up with the old “don’t you know who I am” approach on plenty of occasions but even that doesn’t seem to work. That’s how popular they are!). However, the God of hangovers must favour Mr. Flavour on this occasion and we’re ushered to our seats and offered drinks before you could say hair of the dog (Greyhound).
The décor at Dishoom harkens back to the days of the Raj. The humorous writing on the walls warning customers not to try any funny business with the waitress always raises a smile, while the tantalizing aroma of Indian street-food raises our appetites. Perusing the menu always comes with a challenge. Every dish we’ve ever sampled here has been close to divine, so it’s a case of shortlisting from a wide selection of favourites, without requesting enough food to satisfy an Elephant. We opted to order in stages and our statuesque waiter was happy to oblige.
First to arrive were the Okra Fries. Playfully described as “fine lady’s fingers for the fingers”, these nibbles are always on point. Fresh earthy okra adorned with a delicately seasoned coating so crispy it almost defies physics. I remember trying to recreate this dish at home, with our soggy attempt leading us to believe that Dishoom must employ Sorcerers in their kitchens. I could already see the life force returning to Mr. Flavour and had to act fast before he polished off the lot (Mr. Flavour’s note: – Good thing I kept topping up your wine glass to keep you distracted). Sticking with the crispy theme, some deliciously crunchy calamari landed at our table. The hot golden coating served as a fitting recipient for the tasty selection of accompanying chutneys and the slivers of chili breathed fire back into my other half. The curative powers of delicious food are miraculous!
Next up came the House Black Daal, a real Raja of a dish! Should you visit Dishoom, you’ll likely notice that every table in the house will order this item. It really is unmissable. Slow cooked black lentils passionately embraced in a manage-a-trois of fiery spices and decadent cream. Its dark richness is a masterclass in cookery.
We opted to share a new dish this time and ordered the Awadhi Lamb Biryani. Dishoom delivered yet again! Out came a decorative clay pot, crammed with generous chunks of richly spiced lamb nestled in fluffy fragrant rice. The flavours and style were reminiscent of Balkan cooking and we agreed to add this one to our ever-increasing list of favourites. This was accompanied by a real crowd pleaser: The Chicken Ruby. This “proper curry” presents succulently marinated bites of chicken, lovingly bathed in a delightfully evocative silken Makhani sauce. A tasty fusion of creamy tomato and traditional Indian spices, this dish brings back memories of finding the best curry house on a boozy saunter down Brick Lane in East London. A most satisfying way to fill that last bit of space in our tummies.
Keep our seats warm Dishoom, we’ll be back again soon.
S. R.
Great food and table service but why spoil it and try and over charge us for drinks in the bar afterwards? You accepted your mistake, eventually, but still why?
Y. A.
Really cool layout inside. The bar was on the first floor and the restaurant area on the second floor. Waitress was attentive and provided quick service. The food was amazing. We had the brain masala that is one of my fav and nahari and naan. Also the daal stew was very flavorful. Definitely worth the hype. This place is a must go for any fan of Indian food.
B. S.
Best Indian I’ve had in London. Be sure to try Murgh Malai and Chicken Berry Britannia Biryani. Delicious!
n. w.
Always love Dishoom, so happy that you can now book and don’t have to queue. Food and service is always 10/10.
l.
Different breakfast option at Dishoom. Pretty tasty, fresh juices, different teas and coffees. Brace yourself though, not at an affordable price.
A. N.
Purchased the bacon naan roll kit and was delighted. Easy to follow DIY recipe. Everything was perfectly packed and the outcome was delicious!
S. S.
Amazing. Food is in unbelievably good. We had to wait to get in, but it wasn't for very long and it was totally worth the wait. Staff was super friendly and explained everything to us. Not the cheapest place, but it's definitely worth it. Try the ruby chicken and you won't be disappointed.
t. k.
Very cool place. Packed with people. Beautiful restaurant. Meal was very nice. Not as spicy as expected, but well prepared and executed.
P. P.
In my opinion paneer roll was better than other rolls. Looking forward to try Dum biryani.
H. A.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food...
you have to book ahead of time though, would be hard to get a table without prior reservation.
V. M.
The wait worths. It might take a while to go to the restaurant without reservations but once you're there the service is reasonable fast and the food is really good. Helpful staff regarding what to order if you don't know the Indian cusine that well. Nice environment
R. K.
Quick friendly service and delicious food at a reasonable price. A great weekday breakfast before catching the train.
N. R.
After eating disappointing Indian food in Cambridge I wasn’t sure what to expect in London. But this place scores on food and the Irani cafe ambience. Dimly lit, not noisy. Perfect for a meal alone or with a date or group. Good portion size.
R. S.
We were warmly welcomed to what seemed like a rustic and typical bombay eatery with great decor and ambience. We were then sent to the bar area for a 30 min wait through a plume on incense smoke - a good experience. While seated at the bar we took a while to get through the heavily descriptive drinks menu to find kala khata and chaijito which were truely exceptional drinks and made my parents reminisce about their times eating jeera goli in india. The chaijito too a mojito with a distinctive indian twist. Also whilst eating I ordered a rose and cardamom lassi which I strongly reccomend should you find yourself here. BUT! (the reason for the 3 star) The restaurant has a clear emphasis on experience rather than quality. For starters we ordered samosa, bhel and paneer tikka. Whilst the bhel was nice with pomegranate, the samosa and paneer tikka were nothing to shout about. For mains the mattar paneer was overbearingly sweet and the house black dal had too much tomato. The portion size and cost of the naan was also unreasonable. We were also seated at a table which we shared with another group which I was not too happy about. Personally I feel that the restaurant is not catered towards the indian customer but the british customer. The next time I would just go for drinks and perhaps a bhel or alternatively go to club 2000 in rayners lane for good indian food.
G. H.
This place is fantastic. It's just a few minutes walk from kings cross station and it's huge, with tables over three floors. It's decorated brilliantly, warm and cosy and really comfortable. Despite its size, you are likely to need to wait for a table, but it's worth it. The breakfast is top notch.
B. S.
Amazing place for indian street food. The alcoholic beverages are made in house and amazing. Whiskey infused with tea leaves was my personal favourite
P. B.
Simply amazing. Queue was fast and well thought out. Every dish was flavorful and delicious. Some of the best Indian food I’ve had...anywhere.
N. N.
The wait was worth it. We waited around 30mins for the table. Naan was awesome. The curry is really nice, not too heavy, not too light. Sheekh Kabab was oh my god I can’t even put words. I was never really into Indian food. But the Indian Fusion twist that Dishoom offers, really got to me.
R. U. L.
Amazing space in the regenerated Kings Cross / St Pancras Granary Square area. Food is awesome with an extensive menus which does not overwhelm with too many options. My go to whenever I’m in the area which is now more often. Recommended.
E. B.
Can’t get enough of this place)) I’m in love with their interior and colonial spirit. We always order our fav chicken ruby, black daal, lamb samosas or chops with plain or garlic naan and for the drink of course we have their super yummy mango lassi. if it’s not enough then we add chocolate pudding with chili 🌶 ice cream for dessert 🍮))
F.
Have tried to visit before, however not one for waiting on a que!!! However today we were prepared for a short wait as we went around 3.30pm...We were very surprised to just stroll in!!
Welcomed by young lady who took us to our table, then another waitress who came and spoke to us about the menu and made some recommendations.
We were overwhelmed by so many different choices..but settled on lamb chops , a tikka roll, lamb biryani and dishoom signature dish black daal...I also tried the chocolate chai which was calling out to me!!!
As we waited for the food I thought I'd go and use the gents and also explore...very nice décor, had Indian railway feel ( haven't actually been on Indian railway!!! Lol) everything was so clean and tidy.
FOOD: The lamb chops were so tender, shame there were only 3, tikka roll was very tasty, tender current chicken wrapped in salad n mint leaves and a warm bread. The lamb biryani was aromatic and tender...went nice with the sauces... careful with the chill ...has got a kick to it!!! Last-minute we ordered masala prawns...very chunky prawns!!! Service charge is included...but many places do....£55 for 2 of us, but it's kings cross !!! Can't wait for next visit!!
M. S.
The best Indian food I ever had. And the toilets are just imperial! Ok, I admit, the Bombay Presideny Punch made me a bit euphoric.
S. H.
The food is delicious but I don't understand the hype of people queuing outside lol do they do this on purpose to look hip? Just book or go during off peak hours.
Y. S.
Perfect and fast service, even though the restaurant was very busy, once we sat down someone came straight away to provide the service! The food was tasty, the chicken wasn’t very fresh, but the touches were great! Atmosphere is nice, location is quite good!
R. S.
Great Indian food, with incredible ambience, right in the heart of London. There's usually a wait, but there's an impressive bar that you can chill at while waiting for your table. Do try their passionfruit and watermelon sharbat drinks shown in the picture!
M. S.
I avoided the line by coming on a Tuesday at around 2:30 pm. I sat at the bar and had a most memorable experience. This place is totally worth the hype. Everything I had was truly spectacular, including the chai and the side of coleslaw and —my most favorite — the lentils that have been cooked for 48 hours. The bartender did not stop cracking jokes, both to me and to his colleagues, and it was just so wonderful to be at a place where the people working have such a wonderful energy between them. He also had me try a couple of the lassies he was making for other people, and I can’t wait to go back and drink more of them. Do not forget to go to that bathroom, that’s a whole experience of itself. The way the place is decorated is both beautiful and thought-provoking.
A. 2.
A menu unlike any other, of beautiful Irani dishes. We breakfasted on Keema Per Eedu & Akuri, both stunning. The House Chai ( free refills! ) comes highly recommended - & with good reason. Our server was fantastic, going above & beyond to give us a wonderful experience.
H. P.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and luckily avoided waiting 1+ hours for a table by taking up the offer to be seated at the bar. Cocktails were delicious, food was fantastic and service was great too. Loved the atmosphere and decor.
R. J.
Good atmosphere, well decorated washroom with interesting toilet seats, gratuity of 15% was automatically added and not sure if it's the norm!?
Since I was alone and agreed to seat at the bar, I was able to cut the waiting time which was estimated for 30 mins. (Sunday 6pm)
Food was good. Short walk from the Kings Cross understand station.
Recommended by the lady who sat next to me on the plane from Vancouver with WestJet, who seemed to travel a lot. (Thank you! :) )
E. N.
Absolutely delicious and tasty food. Superb vibe and definitely a great place to congregate with your friends over some tasty Indian food. It's legit spicy and aromatic!
K. A.
Really good food. Really helpful staff. Just avoid busy times if possible.
J. M.
Dishoom is one of the best restaurants in London. It is a modern take on Indian streetfood with great quality dishes at honest prices. 5 easy stars.
M. R.
Dishoom is great, it is a very good representation of traditional Indian food although if you don't book you may be made to wait an hour as it is extremely busy.
S. K.
Lovely food, buzzing atmosphere, friendly and not bad prices. Definitely coming back to try more delicious dishes.
Y. P.
Always a buzz coming here. Great.place for New Years.
S. C.
Great food and service. Please thank the whole team especially those attending to the queue outside.
S. H.
You can count on this place to give you consistent good quality Indian food. The bottomless chai is just lovely in this cold weather. Since it is such a busy and popular place, it would be easy for them to lax on the quality of the food. Hoping they will not go down in quality although I already feel lower quality chicken when I visited recently. Please keep up the good quality rice and meats.
M. A.
Been here many times and it’s always nothing but tasty food and top notch service! Pleaseeeeee bring back the Memsahib's Mess!!!
S. Y. Y.
Oh, it was so good. I don't remember the name of finger food-something chips, it was great with beer. actually too many people there, and I had to wait for longer than an hour. so it would be better to avoid normal lunch and dinner time like 12-1pm, 6-7pm.
R. P.
Always the best for breakfast. Vegan options are good. Wish the coffee was hotter though!
R. S.
Lovely atmosphere, the wait isn’t as bad as Covent Garden.
N. D.
Tasty food , friendly staff & atmosphere. Might have to wait outside in the rain . I didn't.
V. P.
Fantastic vegan breakfast, everything was seasoned perfectly and portion was enough to start your day! Definitely recommend
R. A.
Dishoom at King's Cross is a lovely refurbishment of a warehouse. The ambiance is old Indian British Bombay Parsi types and is a treat to watch in London. There could be a long waiting queue in the evening for dinner, so come early.
We ordered for:
Samosa - A bit oily, but a decent starter.
Paneer Tikka - Subtle spices over soft cottage cheese.
Black Dal - Very tasty and recommended.
Garlic Nan - It is made using eggs, although it tasted same as what we get in India. The garlic was subtle and not strong.
Chana Bhatura - Very tasty too.
Four of us could manage a light dinner without alcohol under £50.
The food options for vegetarians are less but sufficient enough to have a decent meal.
Overall, the food was pretty good. It is obviously not same as what you would get in India, but I really liked the staff's courteous service and the overall experience. I would definitely recommend Dishoom for a quirky and delightful meal.
V. A.
Amazing experience, lovely staff and the food was authentic indian with a zesty twist.
S. C.
Eaten here several times at different times of day - it never disappoints. The breakfast menu is just as good as their lunch menu. Delicious food. Worth the queuing up for.
J. M.
Good food and service, fancy Indian restaurant, quite pricey for the size portions, well with a visit
T. E.
Amazing experience. Really pleasant decor and very good Indian food!
C. O.
Excellent food and ambience. We had SAUSAGE & EGG NAAN ROLL, and Double Bacon Naan.
b. s.
Very busy and too crowded. No measurs were taken due to present circumstances COVID. Food was great.
J. H. (.
The food was better than average. The staff was friendly and the food came fairly quickly. A word of warning they're rather busy and you'll probably have to wait 40 or more minutes to be seated.
A. L.
One of the best Indian restaurants in London. There is always a long queue but it totally worths it! Delicious cocktails and food. Really nice decoration.
M. W.
Omg the food the foood. This place is so delicious it's insane. Ruby chicken, house black dhal, and minced lamb kebabs are must eats. A bit on the pricey side, bit worth it. And plan for an early dinner or a veeerryyy long wait for a table.
A. P.
I'm not fan of indian cuisine, but this tasted very good, excellent and quick service
S. M. K.
The only reason for not rating it 5 stars as it was too crowded and a long queue even on weekdays. Liked the vibe and overall atmosphere.
I. A.
The taste remains consistent and you would always want to come back۔ only recommendation would be to bring some change to the menu !
G. J.
A very popular restaurant in Kings Cross.
Recommend that you book a table where possible.
Table was ready on arrival but it took 15 minutes to seat us. That was the only issue.
Staff were friendly and helpful
Food was delicious but as expected in Central London, rather expensive.
Would definitely go back.
Highly recommended.
E. S.
Fantastic as always! Drinks were great and food amazing! Always the Chicken Ruby!!!
C. H.
A memorable experience made even better by our beautiful waiter, Rueben. Food and drinks were delicious and the atmosphere was bang on. I cannot fault a single thing about this place. 6/5.
A. J.
Always polished beautiful nostalgic delicious; eating in a seventies train ride in a posh Bollywood movie
G. B.
Great Indian fare .. I highly recommend the breakfast menu. Go for the bacon naan roll and masala beans. I prefer this to the other 2 Dishoom venues in London as this is probably the biggest with least waiting time. Deducted one star for the waiting time still and the tables should be a bit more spaced out especially in the upper ground floor area
Z. D.
Love the food ❤️
Obliging staff, unfortunately my favourite drink was not available !
C. D.
1st time visiting the Kings Cross dishoom and it was fantastic! Food was really good. Big shout out to Craig our server! Made the experience extra special.
R. A.
Enjoyed this upmarket; fashionable and enormous restaurant but the pressure to turn our table lost a star for me...
j. b.
Absolutely magnificent. Whether it is for breakfast, lunch or dinner the menu is brilliant. Jimmy who served us was a credit to the restaurant. I highly recommend this place.
J. P.
Love Dishoom! The food is so good, great flavours, well presented and generous portions. Our waiter was really helpful, giving us recommendations on what to order and which cocktails to have.
A. T.
Great place for pre Christmas get together with friends. The curried turkey was amazing.
S. G.
Great place.
Food was delicious.
I. -. V. T.
Super food, over friendly staff, reasonable prices. Been there just last night but I will be going back tonight. Great place to start your weekend evenings. 👍
C. W.
Modern industrial classic decor with a touch of colonial style. Food was good but nothing really stood out.
J. L.
Decent indian food!
Comparing to Shordich and soho store ,
This was the only Dishoom I didn't have to wait!
Taste was same
and glad to see my favorit dish Raita :)
R. M.
My friend and I just had the most amazing breakfast here! All staff were super friendly and welcoming as soon as we stepped into the door. Have to definitely mention waiter FRANCESCO and manager DIOGO who looked after us so well and made our morning!!!! You guys were the best! They helped us with the menu and made sure we were OK all throughout our meal and were chatty and friendly! Food was delicious and arrived quickly. THANK YOU for a lovely dining experience :)
M. Y. P.
A place to visit in London. It's always full and you have to wait but it's worth it! The personal is really friendly and they recommend how to order. The food was amazing, really tasty!
V. T.
Really lovely food and the service was excellent! Would recommend to anyone.
R. H.
Fabulous Indian breakfast, I had the bacon and egg Naan - it was sublime.
T. E.
Great food! We had chicken curry, lamb biryani, black daal and some naan of course!
The only downside is that they don't accept bookings, and there's usually ~1hr wait for dinner..
R. D. (.
Really yummy ! I loved the experience and the staff were super friendly.
C. W.
Confusing and overwhelming menu but with guidance from a very helpful and service minded waiter we kind of wrapped our head around the concept and menu. Delicious food and perfectly cooked meat, small portions however for a high price.
s. f.
Food as great as usual. But service a bit slow as we got there at two so I guess the staff were starting to feel the shift. Lovely space.
N. B.
The staff was exceptional, everyone was wearing a mask and was so friendly. Our waitress Kay was so good! Wish they had staff like this everywhere! The food was amazing, we shared some starters and shared the naan and rice too for the mains. Very deep flavours, probably best Indian I've been to in a while, will definitely come back. Though you need to book lots in advance! Price is very reasonable too.
S. S.
Went to Dishoom with some friends and family and had such a lovely experience. It was on the list forever so I'm glad I finally got a chance to go. There were no tables available so we sat talking in the bar for a while, which had a great range of drinks. (it's popular, so I would recommend booking in advanced) When the table was ready the waitress brought the unfinished drinks upstairs for us so we didn't have to awkwardly carry them which was great. The Indian cuisine was new and fresh, with the choice of lots of different sharing plates to please everyones taste. Dishoom definitely hit the spot with a great atmosphere, we had a fantastic night together.
C. B.
Fantastic food. But London prices not cheap.
K. M.
So fantastic, each location has a unique ambience, the chai tea is great too!
a. B.
Showed up without booking a table on a busy rainy evening and the staff worked hard to accommodate us, excellent service and even better food. Can't wait to go back to have the Nihari again.
A. P.
Friendly busy fabulous food...great atmosphere and the staff are amazing
R. M.
If you like Indian food this is a must visit but make sure you book of you want a table, most tables are for walkins so it’s a bit of gamble but worth it for the food, the food is classic Indian street food with a high standard and the menu is comprehensive so there is something for everyone, lots of fried items and very tasty dishes, with a visit
H. A.
This place is without a doubt onw of the best Indians I've ever experienced. The food is bursting with flavour and made from rich, fresh ingredients. We ordered arouns 6 seperate dishes. Every single one was excellent to say the least. Not only is the food great, the staff are also very welcoming and attentive to your needs. The interior is also fitting for London and very well thought out.
I. P.
Very busy, service was a bit slow and they were out of several wine choices but food was excellent
J. D.
Haven't been here before but obviously very popular. Good service and an amazing building. Lovely food. Highly recommend..
