Reviews of Eat of Eden (Vegan Restaurant, Vegan Takeaway, Lewisham)
My favourite vegan restaurant I used to order from the West Kensington one but the lewisham place is just as good. I placed an order on just eat and the delivery driver stole my food, no help from just eat but the restaurant re made my food and delivered it themselves! Very annoyed with justeat but extremely happy with the service at eats of Eden. Thank you for the delicious food and wonderful service! 😊
What's cool about the spot -
A lot of vegan options packaged very well into platters/meals. The patties are really nice and all the main courses do have the apt flavours. Pumpkin mash and red beans are a good pick. The ambience is well thought of and is neatly maintained. Dining in is ok, but not suitable for large groups. Location being in a prime area, makes finding the spot easy. Parking can be tricky as this is in the main road. Definitely recommended if you are in Lewisham area.

The food was fine. The Eden Platter itself was decent value for money considering the items and portions you receive.
The Plantain, Mac & Cheese as well as the Callaloo were fine. The rest of the platter unfortunately I found rather bland; no real taste and each did not add any real substance to the rest of the items.
While I can certainly appreciate how this can appeal to a wide scope of people, I just didn't find the dishes flavoursome and, those dishes that I found had substance, were simply okay for what they were.
Considering the above, I have opted for a rating of 4 as I feel a 3 would be a tad harsh.
I enjoyed& rate my meal, which was plentiful. Unfortunately I forgot to save the picture of my plate! I had the Mini platter of 5 items, which was filling. I especially enjoyed the mushrooms, pumpkin&sweet potato. Very small place to dine-in. This meant the staff&their friends having their own stuff going own disrupted our dine-in experience. Service was extremely slow also. Only issue when dine-in, is that you leave ponging of the kitchen, because it's such a small Restaurant, so beware if heading to an event after🥴
If I'm in the area this is my lunchtime spot and I'm not even vegan. The food bangs differently and you will not be disappointed.
Vegan hotspot! I’m normally at the (Brixton site) and they never fail to deliver! I recommend
EoE if you’re vegan or in transition to veganism or just looking to explore. My favourite is the wheat meat and sweet potato & pumpkin curry. You can find out the variety and richness of vegan cuisines on their site.
Even though they were 1hr late, the food tastes too great to stay mad!
Loved it. I would recommend the pumpkin curry, macaroni cheese and wheat meat, scrumptious
We popped in lunch time, was busy, people queueing. Chose mushroom burger (meal option, that means side sweet potato fries and side salad). Food was delicious, service and prices good, fast delivery.
Happy I discovered it, will be going there regularly!
We had a platter for two. Such good value.
The food was just delicious...really generous portion sizes. The service was great too.
Had to take the remainder home in a doggy bag.
My only minor criticism ....ate in and would have preferred to eat on a plate as opposed to take away containers given the large amount of food ordered.
Nonetheless well worth the visit.
Will be back again ☺️
Excellent quality food. Not salty or oily and full of flavour. The platters are great for variety with a good choice of dishes to choose from. The mini platter is so filling you don’t need extras. The food was just too good that I ended up buying from them twice in a day. Although vegan cuisines like this weren’t as accessible back in 2008, this would of definitely made me still be a vegan today. I highly recommend the place. Also, the cakes in a jar are heavenly. I am happy to have found a new local takeaway.
