Reviews of Far East Restaurant 新界奇华餐厅

Amazing Chinese Dessert & food. I went with my friends to this little restaurant. Has been established for more than 18years. The food & desserts were still great standard. We were too hungry. And has forgotten to take more food photo. Will add in more photo on my next trip back to this restaurant. Thanks to the great service⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐👏👍❤

One of the best in Chinatown! Very reasonable prices and high quality food. Been here with different people on 4 occasions in the last 2 weeks and we’ve all been very impressed.
Will be sure to visit again after Christmas and into the new year!

Gems in London China town, small place with few choice, but all are great, i try both congee and noodle, taste is really original.
Plus rare to find place serve baozi in UK
Highly recommend....

Delicious chinese pastries and buns. Opens at 9. won ton soup is great. Cheap eats

The service of the staff is ok at least they responded to requests. Fairly cosy place and quite pleasant to sit in. Like the soybean curd and juice and always nice to go with deep fried dough snakes. They served pineapple bun with margarine instead of butter which I felt being shortchanged.

Service is typical chinese, fast, efficient, no frills. We enjoyed dim sum, vegetable noodles and took home a box of tasty baked good, red bean sesame buns and sponge cake. Delicious for breakfast the next day.

The only Restaurant in China town which opens very early. Good chinese bakery stuff. I love the roast pork bao and puff.
A. K.
It's more like a 3.5 star restaurant. Not bad but not particularly good.

Please don't let the bad reviews put you off. We had some delicious food here. The custard steam buns are delicious, portions are generous and the prices are decent. We had 3 starters and 3 mains and all just £40. Just beware that they're cash only which we didn't see initially however there's an ATM right next to the place. I'd definitely go again.

The food was decent. The bakery was pretty good, but the dim sun could have been better. They were pretty busy that morning, so we felt like they were trying to serve us the food as quickly as possible, which was a great surprise. However, it was a bit uncomfortable to feel like they were 'indirectly inviting us to leave' the whole time and we were there for barely 15 minutes. The worst thing was the attitude of the youngest waitress.

Attentive service and nice atmosphere.
Wide menu at reasonable prices for most of the items.
Good food in large sharing portions.
Free takeaway bag service was a bonus.
Buns are the real draw. Taking home a few boxes of buns is always a nice treat as they can be dessert or lunch for the next few days.
Overall a great restaurant and a real star in China Town.

We had a great time here! The food was nice, the price cheap and the service awesome. They even gave us a container! Perfect for small groups.
You can pay either with money or with a debit card

The service is fair. Staff can speak fluent mandarin, Cantonese and english. We ordered fried rice and fried noodles. It just taste the same like in hong kong! Worth for the price!
M. R.
Huge portion. Tastes above average. Opens earlier than most Chinatown restaurants in the weekend. Friendly staff. Pastries smell and tastes good. Language spoken: English, Mandarin, Cantonese.

Absolutely mega Dim Sun and let me tell you, I don't take my Dim Sun lightly. I remember the first time I had Dim Sun, it made me weep salty tears of joy as I gnawed away my woes with a porky ball of happiness. Far East Chinese Dim Sun made me cry with such happiness I got thrown out.

I haven't eaten in but this is one of the joints that I get my Hong Kong-style baked goods to take away. There is a selection on display in the counter by the door. The selection may not be as extensive as others nearby, but the popular ones are there. The cha siu (barbecue pork) ones are particularly good. The pineapple buns may look a little anaemic but they are wonderful too.
M. W.
This is home to the best youtiao (fried dough sticks) in Chinatown.
J. A.
I've never had a reason to complain. Food is average, but I tend to go for coffee and Chinese cakes. Inside cosy and atmosphere unhurried and chilled.
K. P.

Joe was our waiter and he was the sweetest guy on earth!!
The food was delicious, although the kitchen forgot to send some of our plates but they were quite busy.
Shoutout to Joe for his jokes!!

The waiter was very polite and friendly. I went in to dine alone and had a chicken corn soup and a roaster duck. Both tasted exquisite.

Food is good and authentic, went twice and the service was excellent both times; so take the other reviews with a grain of salt..
