Reviews of Fiend by Chris Denney

Had a wonderful experience here, very friendly and helpful staff. The food was incredible and very reasonably priced! The cocktails were absolutely fab as well! Looking forward to coming back here

Excellent service, great food, good drinks, nice venue.
The 7 course menu is fair including many of the restaurant's most attractive dishes, with choice for mains and desserts. Food is well executed and overall balanced, employing interesting elements and techiniques.
Staff from the door man, waiters and sous chef are very friendly and tentative, the latter two radiate passion about their food and were knowledgable in cocktail recommendations, ingredients and preparation methods.
Fiend is vibrant with pleasant ambient noise and cosy lighting. I would enjoy going back to try more dishes from the A la Carte menu.
Salt Baked Celeriac and Dill Sorbet 💯

We rented out Fiend for a private event last week- we had drinks and then a sit down meal for about 40 people. The planning process was so smooth (thank you Jean), the service during the event was impeccable and food was incredible. What a wonderful evening- cannot thank the team at Fiend enough for their outstanding hospitality. We will be back :)

Always a pleasure. Amazing food especially for vegetarians and vegans, which is myself and my mother. The chefs are brilliant and seasonal with the menu. Head chef Chris is super clever with flavours. So daring and fun! Plus, having the kitchen on display adds to the experience. The staff are awesome and the wine list is to die for. Honestly, it is Michelin level without being pretentious. Has the feel of a local too as they cater specifically to your needs. Name me one place that does this at such a high level? You got it, no one! I've been to so many michelin restaurants but Chris' one is fun, flirty, delicious, daring and they don't make you feel you need to leave after 90 mins!! Come. You won't be disappointed.

OMG We absolutely loved it. Excellent food and even better service, what is quite rare these days in London. Go there, definitely worth it.

The place is beautifully decorated and all the staff super friendly.
I only had drinks whilst here so am not able to comment on the food, though several people I spoke too in the restaurant appeared to have really loved what they had.
I'd like to go back to try the food, however, would be happy to recommend this as a lovely place to go to get a few drinks with friends in a calm and warm atmosphere with great service.

The bar at Fiend is incredibly nice, good cocktails and wine list in a quite minimalistic decor. I can't wait to try the restaurant, the menu is intriguing

A fun and delicious dining experience, sitting in front of the kitchen, we were able to chat with the super friendly chefs and watching them work was a real treat, would recommend asking for a table near the kitchen if possible. Food was great and very reasonably priced, will definitely be going again!

HOLY SMOKES! (Do people even use this phrase anymore..?) This place, I have no other words, it’s just ridiculously mind and tastebud blowing. I went there for the second time as I wanted to introduce it to some foodie friends and it was just as mind blowing as the first time!
The service is top notch from you step in to you leave. I love the simple interior and the slightly quirky vibe, it really sets the right mood and feels a bit like you landed in edgy Berlin meets cool Copenhagen - yes please!
Every single dish offers something different and is always a bit of a surprise - the mix of flavours and textures are just so spot on.
I’m raving about you to absolutely everyone! But please keep a table free for me;)

Perfect evening and birthday dinner! We ordered almost everything on the menu except the sweetbreads, and it was all so delicious! The shortribs were outstanding. The service was friendly and fast. The wine list was very affordable and the food was all reasonably priced and nice sized portions. I will return as soon as I can and would recommend to everyone.

Unusual dishes, audacious drinks and excellent service. Fiend takes it a step up. From John welcoming you to Beth the Somalier and Christine a magician at the bar it's a treat worth splurging on. Go for it!

The best small venue for a party!!
Fiend is not only an amazing restaurant but they have a wonderful room in the basement.
This private L shaped room is modern in dark aubergine, eclectic and elegant. It has a gorgeous mirrored bar, stunning bathrooms, fabulous artwork, sumptuous velvet sofas and armchairs. That will impress and make you friends feel super comfortable.
The room is modern and intimate without feeling like a school hall which is what we found with most of the venues in the area.
Not only that the staff are amazing Jean the maitre-de and Christina the head bartender could not do enough to make our 50th a success.
Thank you for making our day so special at such short notice XXXX

Such a great place and wonderful atmosphere. The tasting menu was fantastic and the cocktails to start were really incredible. You can tell Chris runs a great kitchen and puts a lot of thought into the food and his team. Hope to see a star come out of this place soon! Will be back.

This restaurant is superb; the food, the service and the friendly staff are truly amazing. It is, by a long way, far superior to most restaurants in the area. Try everything on the menu, as the food is outrageously brilliant, tasty and so sophisticated. Do not miss an opportunity to visit.

We had dinner here on their opening night and loved it. We were very disappointed when the chef’s previous restaurant, 108 Garage, closed so really pleased he’s back in the area and the food is as fantastic as previously. The sweetbreads were amazing. Staff very friendly and professional. Loved the space as well, and great there is a separate (equally dark and moody) bar area to pop in for a martini or two. Already planning a return visit with friends.

We were so happy after 108 Garage closed down to see Chris open this place in the former Santos... the menu is great; favorites currently are the brioche & pate; burnt leek with oyster; deer. Charming staff all around, too. Amazing addition to the neighborhood!

Fantastic food in this newly opened gem of a place. Every single dish tasted great, and the service is absolutely lovely - the staff has character yet manages to remain professional. All in all, a great addition to the local culinary scene!

Great kitchen, great atmosphere, nice service. Try it.

One of the most exciting restaurants in town. The staff are knowledgeable, unassuming and utterly committed - lead by Chris Denny (who needs no introduction) and is omnipresent; I should know…. At the stove 5/5 times I’ve been. Scallops, sweetbreads and agnolotti are a must. All wines are exciting, cloudy rosé was memorable….
C. B. V.
Great service, the team is nice and fun, the food is outstanding and the wine has been very well researched, congrats!

Food largely good but service super patchy (glasses taken away when not empty, appetizers arriving after the mains, unordered dish added to the bill, etc)
Also they insist this is a sharing concept. Fine - but we were 6 and wouldn’t come back as a group - the plates are small, some are tough to share. This works for a couple, not for a group.

Nice, welcoming bar, professional & friendly vibe and then exceptional food. I will never look at celeriac the same way again. Everything we had was exquisite.

Fiend was awesome. Great to see Chris back with another cracker after 108 Garage. Very much recommend you try it - some of the best food I’ve ever had in London.

Tasting menu. Outstanding execution and fantastic service. The staff was nothing but helpful and courteous,. without being conspicuous. Strongly recommend the venison and the wagyu short ribs in particular.

What a great experience. The food was fantastic. So many standouts, but have to highlight the leeks and the sweetbreads. Will be back soon!

One of the best restaurants I have ever been to. Simply incredible food and atmosphere.

We stopped at Fiend by Chris Denney for drinks & snacks after a long day exploring the area. The place wasn’t busy, so we quickly found a table outside. Staff was extremely polite and service quick. I had a superb cocktail 🍸 with grapefruit juice (Paloma), alongside some tasty nuts. A thoroughly fantastic experience! ❤️ I’ll be back for food too as it looks incredible! Recommended!!
