Reviews of Fishcotheque
M. M.
Friendly staff, excellent service. The fish and chips is very delicious. The fish is crunchy on the outside, super white on the inside, tender but also firm. The chips come in big old traditional format, also crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. You can order the regular or large size. I would recommend the large size for people who can eat a lot, otherwise the regular size is more than enough. I would have preferred if there was a homemade sauce instead of the Heinz commercial sauce, but all in all the plate was very tasty.
K. M.
Great fish and chips! This was recommended to us at a bar that no longer serves food and we are so glad we stopped by. The kids loved the burgers and we had the fish cakes and fish and chips. Highly recommended!
T. T.
Lovely place, with good service. Would not have found it if not for Google reviews & maps, the front is quite small. The food was a good portion, tasty, fresh fish and chips. One of the best I've had in London and will definitely go back for more.
N. S.
I really did enjoy this place. It's small, offers fine in, and offers more than just fish and chips. The fish is traditional full fillet, hand dipped and fried. Very good. I also had the scampi, which I did not enjoy (all breading, tiny shrimp). The only other thing would add to the review is that the tarter sauce is not home made. Overall, I'd go back, and I feel like most people would really enjoy this place.
A. H.
Fish&chips was very good with a good portion. Pickled eggs and onion were pointless. The owner told us the WIFI was not working so we couldn't pay by card (cash only)
N. C.
Ordered a take out cod and chips since it was a full house on a Sunday night. Pretty tasty! The portion was huge (I struggled to finish my fries). It came in a box, and I was asked if I wanted salt and vinegar on mine. Comes with a fat packet of tartar sauce too.
Plus take outs are a bit cheaper than dine in. The guy that served me was pretty friendly too

I came here 4 years ago for the first time and it left such a good impression, that I had to go another time this month on my trip to London. The Fish and chips were not as good as I remembered them to be, but were still good. the chips I had along the fish were so crispy the first time I went, that my latest visit left me a little bit disappointed. And the person serving us seemed to had a bad day, because we were being treated quite badly (in my opinion) and were ignored most of the time although the place was pretty empty that time
A. A.
We went there to try battered marsbar and was positively surprised. Started with cod fish and chips. It was both fresh and tasty. It's a big portion, so sharing is a good idea. The battered marsbar with ice cream was the highlight and was much better than I expected. The waiter seemed a little inexperienced and forgot our order but was very kind so that didn't change our verdict.
K. K.
Great Fish & Chips! Large portion sizes! Had a wonderful server he was great and heightened the experience! Definitely recommend!
R.
I guess I just expected more from a well rated fish and chips place... Fresh food but the batter was not seasoned and a bit bitter, although crunchy. Maybe it should be like that? I don't know.
E. A.
The fried chicken was really good. The chips were hot and fresh and flavorful. I wish they were a little bit thinner but that is just personal preference. We had a great experience here and the owner was very kind. My husband got the fish and said it was good and really soft. He wished it had a bit more flavor but our experience here was overall a good one.
M. S.
Had the large cod and chips. My wife and me shared and it was perfect portion for both of us to share cause it's huge. I put a fork for scale in the photo but it still doesn't show how huge the fish is.
It was amazing cod so hot and fresh.
M. M.
The true authentic experience of Fish&Chips!
You truly have to try this fantastic place and excellent service! The food was just amazing! Fish was fresh and so tasty, the place was very clean, and everyone was so friendly. I plan to go there again before I leave London. My dinner today was the true London Fish&Chips unique and authentic experience. Highly recommend!
A. M.
Excellent. The fish was very crispy and tasted great.
Takeaway cheaper than dine in. Good portion size.
A. B.
Finding a fish and chip shop is nigh on impossible in London. I stumbled across this one and needed a feed. Great chips and superb fish... Highly recommended if you can find it....
g.
A fairly traditional fish & chip shop (there are seemingly very few around in Central London), offering both take away and eat in (there is an additional cost for the eating in menu).
From the outside it may not look that inviting, but the staff are friendly & while the dining area is on the small side, it is comfortable & spotlessly clean.
The prices are a touch on the high side, but it is still worth a visit as the portions are huge and the fish is high quality.
S.
This is the only place you can get a good ol' bag of chips from. Really great food. And the owner remembered me after not having sat in to eat for a long time. If you know, you'll remember the fish tank in the corner - RIP fish tank! 😂 One of those independent gems in Waterloo.
C. O.
Very nice place, playing discotheque music. Most importantly very tasty fish & chips; portion was generous.
A. S.
Lovely!
We went for the classic fish and chips. The menu doesn’t say “fish and chips” as one dish, you order them separately and choose both the fish and size of the chips portion, which was a bit confusion for a tourist like me. But the food was excellent, portions were big, the price totally justified.
I. C.
Very generous portion! Ordered the medium cod and can't finish the chips.
O. B.
We were looking for a place to go for lunch near the cinema before our movie starts and we were not disappointed.
The fish and chips were freshly made and very delicious!
The toilets were very clean and the staff were very nice and friendly.
So far, this was the best fish and chips we tried in London.
M. M.
The true authentic experience of Fish&Chips!
You truly have to try this fantastic place and excellent service! The food was just amazing! Fish was fresh and so tasty, the place was very clean, and everyone …
D. B.
Great places with great food and amazing staff 👌
A. M.
Excellent. The fish was very crispy and tasted great.
Takeaway cheaper than dine in. Good portion size.
G. B.
The fish and chips are some of the best I've ever had. Been a few times and am never disappointed. The portions are very generous too.
A. H.
The meal was absolutely delicious.
The fish and chips were cooked perfectly
The apple pie was awesome.
I highly recommend the restaurant for all London visitors.
It was a great experience.
T.
An unassuming little place near Waterloo Station. But the food is really excellent. My cod & chips was superb, freshly cooked, just fab. Possibly the best ever? And the bread & butter was butter, not margarine.
A. A.
This place is below the rail track bridge, and while it may look unassuming, it was one of the best and tastiest fish and chips I had in London. The older gentleman who served us was exceedingly polite and friendly as well. We had tried cod and chips, and both were freshly made.
S. S.
The fish and chips were amazing!! We took 2 portions but I could not even finish my part. It was so big and for the price, you must eat there. The employee is very kind and friendly.
C. P.
I'm here right now and I have just finished my meal. I couldn't wait to leave a gleaming review. My meal was perfect for me. Nice fluffy chunky chips, and the 1/2 burger was nicely cooked. I would have it twice but I am full. You will have a nice meal if you come here. They also provide a takeaway service👍
D. G.
Not the friendliest welcome but I put that to one side, having been served quickly enough. Battered sausage with chips was fairly bland...chips were pretty pale, could have been cooked for longer. Curry sauce was lumpy with an overly vinegar flavour.
Overall, it was OK but far from anything special which was disappointing given I visited on the strength of the reviews.
A. T.
Fish&chips as a burger - very good! The fish was fresh and well made and quickly served. Nice atmosphere, classic pop&rock.
a. k.
Walking along the streets of Waterloo, and following the smell of the quality fish and chips leading you to fishcoteque. the loving staff handing over the perfect portion of quality food served by the greatest faces. The never ending conversations about the vintage look inside the shop taking you back to to the 80's played with music which is timed perfect when drizzling lemon on to the fish. A experience made once becomes a experience which lasts forever.
N. k.
Recently moved to london and I’ve been craving a good old chippy like up north, I’m so happy to have found this place! Tasty authentic fish and chips and the best customer service. All the best :)
e. o.
was exceptionally good very fresh fish and crispy tasty potatoes highly recommended..
h. k.
Best fish and chips experience ever! Friendly staff and very good service. They use fresh fish only which was very tasty. I will recommend this place to everyone!
S. O.
The best fish and chips i have ever experienced, the flakiness of the cod just shows the freshness. Staff are very friendly five stars from me :))
K. O.
The chef was incredibly nice and humble. Batter on the fish and chips was perfection. Would definitely go back!
K. S.
Delicious traditional fish and chips. Loved it!
K. S.
What a little Gem! Well worth the less than 5 minute walk from Waterloo Station to eating you're waiting on s train.
Tasty.food, great portions, quirky set up and friendly staff. Really couldn't ask for more.
G. B.
The fish and chips are some of the best I've ever had. Been a few times and am never disappointed. The portions are very generous too.
W. Q.
A very lovely restaurant. I ordered the cod and fried chicken, and I really like it. The fish is really fresh and juicy, the fried chicken is tasty. The price is also very reasonable.
D. M.
the waiter was a bit too friendly, the food was great
J. M.
Fantastic fish and chip restaurant tucked under the bridge. Light and crisp batter, thick chips, a slice of lemon and a satchet of tartar sauce. What more could you need. The calamari rings were also crisp and bigger than we expected. Oh and do try the deep fried mars bar.
Service was friendly, music isn't too loud and the fish tank in the corner is a calming distraction. Note that they only take cash here.
E. C.
Great food and service. My go to place for every week, generous portions and tasty meals.
s. n.
Short walk from London eye.
Organised and tidy restaurant, with a good family feel to it.
Good menu choice, food was fresh and tasty.
Chips were amazing.
I. B. K.
amazing fish and chips ❤️👍👍
I. C.
I live outside of london and this place is the best Fish and Chips shop i’ve ever been to, a must go every time i visit and never seems to fail to impress.
Would 100% recommend, lovely atmosphere and a very kind service. To top all that off with Great food!!!
Y. B.
Yummy , crispy fish with the freshest chips . The atmosphere was great . Quite vintage I must say ! Fantastic music and lovely staff . Clean and organised . Thank you Fishcotheque
A. G.
Lovely fish and chips in huge portions! I ordered the medium cod and it was more than enough! The atmosphere is also nice with vintage decorations. The only con is that they only accept cash :( would have given them a 5-star otherwise. So bring enough cash!
J. S.
Great food reasonably priced.
M. O.
This is a restaurant I visited with my family three years ago. The shop is kind and the fish and chips are delicious, so I will go to eat again someday 👪
J. R.
Enjoyed the cod and chips. Basic but good. Fast, attentive service. Classic rock soundtrack (Stones, Brooce, Skynyrd, the Floyd) was a hoot.
Y. D.
One of the best fish & chips in London. Freshly prepared, generous portions and reasonably priced.
Y. A.
If you want proper fish and chips, not the tourist “fish and chips”, this is the spot. Fishcotheque is near many other attractions and events—10 min walk from most popular attractions. It’s a hole in the wall, but once you enter you’ll see a beautiful bar of several types of fish you can order from. Batter tastes very clean and light, unlike many fish and chip joints. The check is presented in a very unique way and prices are very affordable by the way. Definitely recommend!
L. B.
Outstanding doesn't come close on how impressed I was when I stumbled purely by chance on the Best Fish and Chip Shop in London, the name appealed from the start and I was pleasantly surprised that they had a good music mix playing as the name had suggested, located almost opposite Waterloo station, if you blink you might miss it and that would be a big mistake if you want to have a great meal possibly before travelling, I was in the area with my friend from the suburbs for an appointment she had and we hadn't eaten since breakfast, it was already 3pm and we needed a big late lunch, we had a small wait for our food as they cook to order and it was definitely well worth the small wait, my friend ordered Cod and Chips, I ordered Rock and Chips, we washed it down with a Cup of Tea, the portion sizes are huge served on a steak plate, the fish had a crunchy crispy batter and it enclosed succulent juicy fish, the chips were no less deserving and were well cooked and plentiful to the extreme, the decor is eclectic and amusing, a mix of vintage advertising signs and memorabilia to enjoy while you enjoy your meal while you listen to the music tracks playing in the background, I stumbled across this gem by chance and was rewarded by fate for finding a fish restaurant that I know I will revisit as soon as I can even if I have no reason to go to Waterloo, the food and ambience said it all, it's rare to find a Great Fish and Chip Shop in London and this has to be one of the best.
P.
One of the best fish i have had. Good portion of a Hot and crispy Cod
K. P.
Perfect for tourists (and local folk as well) place to eat in very reasonable prices, great quality, more than sufficient quantity and pleasant atmosphere combined with lovely staff. The menu offers nice set of meal but if you are on a budget trip grab a fishburger and a big bag of chips, this can satisfy up to two people and cost less than a single meal in regular restaurants ;)
A. S.
we ordered fish and chips (cod) to take away and it was pretty good! I don't rate 5* because they don't accept credit card, only cash.
M. P.
Generous portions and friendly staff, food was excellent and fast. Great for take away.
A. J.
Great place if you want to test british food fish and chips as well the burger was delicious but the place is not big so its not allow you for taste with 8 to 10 person.
L.
I have been twice here. A waiter is polite. Chips are crispy and tasty. Quite big portion.
There is a fish tank while eating can take a look. Place a small and cozy. I will go back again.
S. G.
Good, authentic and solid fish and chips. Big portions, also the medium sizes. More a Snack than a restaurant (no alcohol). One Star minus because of can only pay cash, no cards accepted.
J.
Looks are deceptive! Very narrow shopfront opens into the unpretentious seating area. The plaice and scampi, both served with chips were freshly cooked and first rate. Definitely recommend.
A. W.
Great food, great environment, and friendly staff! Felt like I was eating at a friends house rather than a restaurant!
B. P.
Very nice fresh hot food big portions and lovely staff/owners. My colleague's favourite the service was great so I can see why.
K. H.
Closest to "Seafront" fish and chips I've ever had from the city. Impressed. I expected something a little posher of the building for Waterloo, but I wasn't disappointed by the food. Will definitely be returning.
H. O.
One of the best cod and chips i’ve ever had. The service was amazing the staff is very caring. Definitely recommend this place!
T. F. P.
Looking for traditional fish chips? This is the right place to experience that! I was wandering around the area and suddenly craved for fish chips, i googled and i found this restaurant nearby.
I choose cod and chips and it cost same like others, soft inside and crunchy outside, chips also good, soft and not too dry.. serve with sachet tartar sauce and ketchup from the bottle.
Serving fast and they are friendly as well, good for dine in or take away if you’re in rush time
Location opposite of Waterloo station, easy to find.
E. K.
Absolutely amazing fish and chips you can tell they use quality ingredients and cooking oil by just looking at it and always cooked to perfection. I travel from Croydon now and then to eat here. Keep up the good work guys 👍.
D. W.
Fantastic local fish and chip shop next to Waterloo Station (under the bridge). Delicious battered fish and chunky chips; the portions are very generous, too.
I always pop in for a quick bite, and it's easily one of my favourite places to eat in London. The service is fast (either inside seating area or takeaway) and the owner is really friendly/chatty. I'm glad it's still open: support this local gem!
h. c.
I can honestly say this place does the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Simple and beautifully cooked, these guys really know what they’re doing.
Do yourself a favour and sit in for the full experience (excellent music as well) - i will 100% be coming back.
S. P.
The food always comes quickly and is warm. I ordered cod and chips and enjoyed it very much. The staff are also kind and ask my if everything is going okay and if i need anything - i would defined come here again.
A. k.
Generous portions, excellent quality, delicious fish and chips! Must visit!
C. R.
Best fish and chips ever. Should definately try the fresh cod burger. Great service as well.
C. T.
Dropped in for a quick bite. Friendly service and enjoyed the fish and chips!
M.
Amazing quality and value, the large cod will feed two people or 1 large hungry individual and a large chips is more than enough to feed three people a small chips is perfect for two people... The staff were friendly and the food was made to order...
I. B.
Can't believe this place is still here. Used to go there many times 40 years ago, after watching football before heading back home to Haslemere from Waterloo. I can't say what it is like now, but not many business's still have the same name, unless they are good.
A. S.
Came to London for a few days and was recommended Fishcotheque. I can honestly say it was the best fish and chips me and my wife have had. We even came back the next day! Staff are really courteous the decor is amazing. Would recommend to anyone staying or living in London.
E. n.
Best fish and chips spot in London. Very tasty food, high quality ingredients used and excellent customer service. I also like the ambience in the restaurant, the design and music evokes a bygone era, very nostalgic.
N. J.
Very friendly place and people good service. Best fish and chips in London
M. T. P.
Very nice bistro with traditional Fish & Chips meals, friendly staff, acceptable prices. And the meal? Excellent!
A.
Enjoyed their food very much, especially the fried chicken yummy
C. H.
The place is rather dirty and the food is tasteless (well, maybe if you cover the food with ketchup and mayonnaise you'll enjoy it). Normally i would give only two stars, but I'll give them an extra star because the employees are very nice and the food is cheap. And, besides, it's a typical "Fish and Chips" British restaurant and bad food was exactly what I was expecting when I ordered it.
J. S. E.
Good place for a really authentic fish and chips experience. Approved by a genuine Londoner I shared my lunch with 🙂
Several different kinds of fish on offer and all the trimmings available as side orders.
a. e.
A Fantastic place for a Family Freindly environment. Additionally top quality Fish & Chips:)
D. B.
Great places with great food and amazing staff 👌
f. f.
It was the best fish I have ever had! Would definitely recommend it to everyone.
T. 0.
Very good service and friendly staff, Food was delicious, i will be advising this to all my friends and family the location was very easily to find and the food was very appetising and tasty.
J. F.
Classic fish n chips. Food was very good. Staff is friendly. The environment and decoration are fantastic. Recommend
J. H.
Recently moved to the area and was looking for a chippy. Tried Fishcotheque and loved it, keep going back.
The fish is always cooked fresh and the service is great.
S. D.
Super fresh fish, light and crispy batter. Would be 5 stars for sure if they accepted card payments. Bring cash.
D. P.
Amazing fish and chips, great place with great vibe and specially nice owner
B. S.
USA citizen going to London and wanted authentic fish and chips. Pretty good place and the service was pretty good as well.
Y.
The fish is excellent and perfectly fried, the chips are sliced into perfectly bite pieces and are soft and perfectly cooked on the inside, and the vinegar is the best I’ve ever had, it’s amazing. I recommend you come here with friends, it’s a great experience as the decor is retro and very cool.
C. M.
Best fish n chips in town, super cute place, clean , friendly staff and delicious fish, don't bother going anywhere else this is the best place to get your fish n chips
J. N.
One of the best if not THE best chippies in London. Right outside Waterloo Railway Station Main Entrance in London just South of the Waterloo Bridge there. Prices have just gone up again but this only reflects the Plague and Brexit Fishing fiasco with which these politicians seem to be or are doing as little as possible about as also with 400% energy cost rises and so forth globally now worldwide it seems too! but cooked properly in the old fashioned way, proper chips and good old fashioned cooking oil too. Well full up.
A. H.
(Note: Sorry for the Snapchat picture, I forgot to take one without the filter and caption, but I was really excited!)
This place is close to the London Eye so we decided to check it out, and we were so happy we did cause this place is ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!
I'm not the biggest fan of fish and chips, but this place uses high quality batter and you can taste it in the freshness of their food! I would definitely check out their big portions and amazing customer service (I found out about the free WiFi right as I was about to leave, so look for it before that)
O. T.
Great place to find fish and chips. Food was delicious and service was perfect
J. B.
Tasty, fresh and a decent portion of fish and chips. Would happily come back!
S. F.
Best Fish and Chips in Town. A must try! Friendly staff, a fair pricing and a great choice of fish meals. Highly recommended!
P. H.
The food was ok. I would have liked a higher quality of food to match the high prices as outside of london, you get higher quality food for much less
M. M.
Super nice employees, really cool decorations and delicious fish and chips and mainly visited by locals not tourists. Loved it!!
V. B.
Best fish and chips I’ve had in London. The calamari was fresh and delicious. I would definitely come here again.
A. D.
Great fish, we went for a cod. It was very tender but also packed with flavour. Place doesn't look like top quality one, but definitely is.
J. S.
What a gem, tasty, fresh cooked fish, all sustainably sourced, best chips ever, seating and take away. Highly recommended
M. K.
Had a great fish and chips meal at Fishcoteque, fish was cooked to perfection as well as the chips.. if you’re in town remember to pay a visit, you won’t be let down..
R. B.
The best fish and chips I've had. Seriously they know what they are doing in there. And the place used to be an old discotech so that's pretty cool! I'll definitely be coming back for more when I'm in the area.

Very good traditional fish and chips.... in central London. Good food, good value and great service. Thank you.
C. C. W.
good portion of cod fish and chips😁
K. O.
Food was very good... But the service was horrible and the waiter was extremely rude.
M. R.
Charming little place, very simple with some funny/odd decorations.
Pros: Friendly staff, great fish and chips, tiny aquarium which is entertaining for kids. Cute attention to detail.
Cons: Cash only, too cold inside.
We'll be back!
Y. P.
Nice food and it open until late at night.
B. a. c. C.
Excellent food, big portions, kind staff and fast serving.
First time in London and I truly recommend this restaurant.
Music is very good as well.

Great places to eat classic fish and chips. Very fresh fishes.
J. L.
Great fish and chips, perfect when you miss your train!
M. Z.
Nice restaurant. Authentic fish&Chips.
Clean food and fast service.
H. S.
Food was decent enough. Found the staff to be pretty unfriendly which was quite disappointing 😞
A. P.
Great food, decent price, very friendly staff... great place to have a quick chow. 😉
M. O.
I havent been city center for a long time when I go there as usual I went Fishcotheque for food and it is same as always nice food ,friendly staff, warm and new design fish and cips resturant.Waiting to go again.

Excellent food and great service! Highly recommend to stop by and enjoy the cod fish n chips if you are in the area!
A. E. h.
Good Food's and drink's Soft....Thanks
A. H.
Amazing quality. I ordered medium size Cod fish and it was completely stuffing. The fish is fresh and the food is served hot as hell!
Totally recommended.
B. U.
Just superb. I Had the large Haddock and chips for takeaway. The haddock was crispy on the outside and flaky and moist on the inside, this place knows the craft of fish and chips. Delicious. Good value for money as the portion size was large. The staff were also friendly.
J. R.
Very attentive staff, warm welcome, great portion sizes and delicious food!
M. H.
Great food at acceptable prices. Had the mixed seafood platter (cod, shrimp, calamari) which was great.
Y. D.
Simple place, serving good fish & chips
D. C.
I’ve been eating Fish & Chips from Fishcoteque once or twice a week since early January. Each order has been consistently SUPERB!
The Fish is always fresh the chips are hand cut from the tastiest potatoes.
Manuel really is a Master Fish Fryer - thank you!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
D. R.
This place serves solid fish and chips. If you are looking for the quintessential English fare, look no further.
A. a.
Excellent customer service. Delicious fish and chips! Freshly cooked. Definitely will visit again.
S. Y.
Lovely cooked fish , amazing seafood platter that they had on there menu Lovely service staff were brilliant 100% the best fish and chip iv ever had.👍👍
J. Y.
Traditional fish and chip, fresh fish, nice chips, every thing is good, except they don't accept card payment.
M. F.
Fish n Chips was perfect. Music and overall culture was comfortable with great service!
R. T.
First time I have had Rock Fish for over 30 years. Absolutely delicious.
P. N.
I really enjoyed my visit to this restaurant. We were looking for a place to have an authentic fish & chips experience and it didn't disappoint. The fish was fresh, crispy and very tasty. The chips were amazing, crispy and firm.
We could tell everything was extremely well cooked and we loved it! Would definitely recommend. The staff was nice and attentive. The only downside was the smell of frying oil that permeated the place, but, oh well, it's a fish and chips joint... Still, I was annoyed to be smelling like fried food for the rest of the day. Even so, totally worth it!!
l. s.
Fresh food, with friendly service
k.
Excellent service and awesome fish and chips
K. H.
Our favourite fish 'n' chip shop in London. We make a journey into town to eat there and it does not disappoint. The decor is interesting but don't let me spoil the surprises. Being called Fishcoteque, you'd expect to hear some music and that doesn't disappoint either with tunes from the 60s through to the 80s and at a level that enables customers to talk, not shout. I groove along whilst ordering and eating. Now to the main course: the food. I either opt for the grilled sea bass or fishcakes. Both are served with a salad and the best chips ever. The salad isn't the usual lettuce, salad and tomato. This is a crisp, tasty offering and plenty of it. Tonight I had the sea bass. There were two generous fillets and piles of non-greasy chips. They use a particular brand of potato for their chips and they are absolutely fantastic. Our visit was the day after Lockdown II ended and it was disappointing to see it devoid of customers. This fish 'n' chip shop deserves to serve.
V. G.
Great Fish' n Chip, delicious fish, large portions. I will definitely visit it again to my next trip to London.
J. L.
We came to this restaurant late after the theatre. I have the grilled seabass and my partner had standard fish and chips… I should add that we’ve been on a one week fish and chip expedition of North Scotland! The food was absolutely superb. The fish was fresh serve steaming hot the chips were excellent. As a world authority on fish and chips this gets five stars. A great after theatre place.

Amazing!!!
The best fish and Chips in London.
J. M.
Wow! Best fish and chips in London. Everything cooked to order and a wonderful service. Will definitely be coming back !!
A. E.
Fresh fish and delicious chips. Many tourist and locals eat at this place but portions are getting smaller as they becoming too touristic.
U. O.
Fishcotheque is a very unique fish and chips shop with its 80/90s jazz music giving the vibes, along side a 10/10 meal I must recommend will defo be back for more!
B. N.
The best fish and chips I have ever had. It was so fresh and the portions were huge.
N. C.
Really great fish, decent chips. Note that the same meal you order sitting down vs takeout is quite a bit more expensive (over £12 compared to ~£9). I would’ve liked to see homemade tartar sauce, but all in all, the fish was so good I would come back.
P. S.
One of our point from to do list was try authentic british fish and chips. And this restaurant was a great chose! We totally loved it. ❤️
Restaurant was small, with really kind staff (waiter was a huge fan of our Slovak fotball player Hamšík). Portion was really big!
L. K.
First time I've been, recommended by a friend, and I had the hot seafood platter as a sit down meal. Hands down, the best fish and chips I've ever had. Every bite was delicious, none of it was greasy, it was crispy and flavourful. And for London, not even that expensive. Will go back, would recommend to anyone. Only downside? They had a sign saying they don't take card, so make sure you have cash.
P. L.
Excellent food and service, nice place.
D. I. J. V.
Fish was fabulous, chips typical of average chip shop. I prefer double fried but still nice experience
J. P.
Best fish and chips in Town.
J.
Great, authentic chippie. Generous portions with a reasonable price. Staff was friendly and location has a good amount of tables. It can be crowded during lunch and dinner. The cod fish and chips was very good and also the fried chicken and chips had a great taste. Right be the Waterloo station if you need to grab a bite before or after getting on your train
M. F.
I hate fish but this kind of fish is just so good you have to try it
N. R.
We were in London and really wanted to try the local fish and chips. This was close to the London Eye where we were, so we decided to take a walk. That turned out to be a really good decision. When you walk in, you might not expect a five-star experience, but it was. Great food, nice service, reasonable prices. You can get a take away or stay and have your food there. We had the cod and the haddock, both were delicious. Loved it.
P.S. Worth mentioning is that you'll need to pay in cash, they do not accept cards.
S. M.
Excellent freshly cooked chips with a cup of hot tea. Perfect for a cold day.
S. K.
excellent food and very good service
J. B.
Great spot for authentic Fish & Chips.
M. S.
Very polite waiter, would definetly recommend trying out the fish and chips 👏🏼
Note- They only use fresh fish which is very delicious .
B. G.
Without a doubt the best fish and chips I've ever eaten. Split a haddock and cod plate with my wife and I honestly can't decide which I like better. Huge portions that are sure to fill you up. Make sure you bring cash as they don't take cards. Highly recommend!
G. A.
I always try to call here for fish and chips when I'm in London and have done literally for years. Never been disappointed. One of the best fish and chip shops in the UK!
C. B.
All freshly cooked so fish thin dry crispy batter and chips light golden and dry too! Full menu with everything you'd expect from a classic chippy 👌 only minor gripe is that we dined in evening and found restaurant a tad chilly... But good value and experience!
T. O.
Beautiful retro design with various touches that makes it perfect. The service was fast and the staff was very kind and helpful, the fish itself was very tasty and well cooked.
Y. S.
I came with my family, and we really enjoyed our time eating the lovely fish and chocolate Mars bar with ice cream to top it off 👏🏼
P. S.
I was happy, if not an expert. Cornish pasty is just a trap, but you knew that - get the fish. Tourist-area prices for sit-down but also tourist-sized portions. Looked like the locals were wisely availing themselves of the take-away pricing? Friendly service.
N. J.
Came here on my 2nd night in London for some classic fish and chips. Was absolutely delicious, can’t recommend it enough. Get the Haddock it was phenomenal. Best fish and chips I think I’ve ever had. The service was a little slow but for fish and chips this good, it’s certainly worth the wait!
B.
Fancy place fantastic food and very friendly staff :)
K. A.
Took my American family here for their first 'Chippy' experience. They loved it! Even convinced them to try the battered sausage!
D. C.
We’ve tried a acouole of fish and chip places on our vacation to London, and this was by far the best cod we had. Cooked perfect and light and fluffy. The chips were not so great, but the fish portion is generous and makes up for it. The service was also great!
D. B.
Great place to get fish and chips! Close to the tube but note this place is CASH ONLY. Staff are nice and friendly, the restaurant looks clean. Food is tasty and the meal portions are great. They have fresh fish as well as frozen fish, so make sure to order the correct ones.
C. M.
I was expecting great things from this chippy given the raving reviews, but it's nothing special. The food was served moments after being ordered, which explains why the chicken was pink and overcooked. It had been sitting already cooked and waiting for someone to order it. The fish had skin on it under the batter, usually the skin is removed when I order it from other chip shops. The curry was to my liking but not my partners. It was different than usual curry sauces, a lot of bits and onions in it.
r. i.
I started coming to this place on a regular basis. The quality of the food is exceptional and the service is really good as well. The fish has a really crispy batter and has a nice texture. Highly recommended, by far the best fish ive had in my life.
D. C.
A great food but a bit expensive
T. H. (.
As Fish & Chip shops go, this is one of the very best. Quality F&C at reasonable prices. Good portion sizes. Fish very good, and fresh, but if you fancy an alternative, I recommend 2 eggs and chips - yum!
B. K.
I highly recommend this place as classic British Fish & Chips. I love fish and chips and I'm picky. The fish quality is very good and the breading is uniquely delicious because it is lighter on the palate with a great flavor and crisp. The flavor of the breading is also a huge factor in the old little dive. The experience was also not greasy like fish and chips often is. Strange location and worth it. Check out the giant goldfish in the aquarium. It's older than many of the employee careers. #doubleloveseven
Y. L.
Nearest fish and chips of Waterloo station. Great food with nice service!
L. L.
Their batter is great, very crispy. The fish (Ordered cod, plaice and rock) was very tender. Chips were just mediocre, a bit soggy and some were tough to chew. Sit-in was a bit pricy, definitely recommend getting a fish takeaway
B. S.
Food was exceptional! Absolutely the best cod and chips I have had in years! Only reason for negative rating is that they are cash only, was £50 for two to eat, so having that much cash on hand and s a big ask!
S.
Love the place. Always pop in on way to theatre.
Unpretentious, nice 50s design with posters and juke box, vast, fresh and tasty portions of scampi/fish &chips plus lots of other traditional dishes. All at reasonable prices and served up super quick and with a huge smile. Been many times and never disappointed . Top spot.
i. s.
The best in London without any doubt. The Fish is nice and fresh and the service is really good. The staff are always smiling and caring, the Haddock I have every Sunday evening just gets better and better everytime, the chef certainly knows what he is doing. Keep up the good work guys. Highly recommended!!
J. H.
First of all the name is amazing. It’s pronounced “fish ko tek”, like discotheque. I see what you did there. Well, it was like deliciousness dancing on my tongue. We decided to eat here because it had good ratings and was close to our flat. I figured it would be decent due to the ratings. I didn’t expect it to be the best fish and chips I’d ever had. The batter is top notch and the cod was so fresh. The price is amazing as well.
Not sure why, but they played Michael Jackson songs the whole time we were in there. So pretty great if you like Michael Jackson.
They do not take credit cards so make sure you go with cash.
1. T. N.
On Saturday, my friend showed me your amazing place!
And after eating I can say it is THE BEST restaurant I have ever visited and I have been to loads! Best proper chips, fresh fish cakes and a lovely side salad.
Look amazing
Smells amazing
Tastes amazing
See you again in a few weeks;!
M. S.
Been a great experience, fish was very fresh, definitely worth trying again 👍🏼
6.
Nice place. Excellent produce. Recomendable. Good service, too!
Z. D.
A better than average fish and chip shop, but nothing all to special. The food is quite good, again consistent with what you'd expect of a normal chippie, the service is also fairly plain but nothing of concern. The interiors are a bit run down, but also fairly standard. Prices are pretty good for how central it is, we spent about £10 each. Overall, it's a solid option for a quick and easy bite, a nice bit of British culture for any tourists; it's nothing special though, and the most distinctive feature is the name (which is awesome by the way) - for a location like this, they really need a card machineX at the moment it's cash only!
D. W.
Excellent service, large portions. Haddock and chips, eat in, for under £15. Better than fish and chips in a pub. Smaller portions of cod and chips are available. Definitely go again, good alternative to the other well known fish and chip restaurant down the road.
A. L.
The amount of food is amazing just a bit oily.
J. T.
The chicken was very nice here, and the chips were amazing! However, I ordered a mars in batter, and I have to say I was underwhelmed.
I want to give this place 4.5 stars because of that, but I can't, and dont think it justifies 4 stars. But would NOT return for another mars in batter from this place, however I WILL return for their chips.
R. J.
Very tasty I loved it,very generous portions ,very kind welcoming owner ..definitely will come back when I return from UAE
M. E.
Don't get here nearly often enough. The quality of the fish is always exceptional. Beautiful proper deep fried chips from great potatoes. The fish batter is so Christy, yet clean. The accompliments such as mushy peas are also first class. Nice to bring your own wine, so no disappointing wine list. Thank you, thank you!
P. A.
Unassuming but extremely excellent....
You could easily be fooled by the establishment, that from the outside looks like a very down market greasy Fish & Chip bar, but if you can look past the surface facade you'll find excellent quality food.
Good chips, fresh fish and all freshly cooked to order.
It's been in Waterloo for years (I've been using it for 8 of them). It has off days, but when they get everything right it really is very good.
But at these bargain prices... Absolutely worth a punt.
D. H.
Great place if you want some good fish and chips. Their fish cakes weren't bad either. Great portions and great taste. Your clothes won't come out smelling fishy either so that was a huge plus.
A. R.
We had fried fish and fried chicken. The size of the portions was good but the fish was really overpriced compared to chicken. I would reccomend takeout because the space is quite crowded and the wait time was significant. Nevertheless I enjoyed the food :)
N. C. (. C.
Really good food, service and place. Good prices too!
J. G.
A really nice meal right outside Waterloo, my wife had a medley of seafood while I chowed down on whitebait. A really good looking menu and can't wait to return! Staff were also excellent!
K. G.
I have been there many times the food was excellent every time I hav been I have always enjoyed it highly recommended to everyone for sure I will be back again with the friends so tasty and fresh and Very friendly staff
i. c.
Had sit in meal with friends after a day out this and chips all round the fish was tasty and not greasy and the same for the chips all freshly made to order.
E.
The best and most succulent fish I have ever had. The customer service was lovely and the chips were on point one of the fish&chips locations in London for a night out. 10/10
T. C.
Excellent staff and great ambiance, but extremely steep prices for what is ultimately a regular-sized portion of deep fried fish with deep fried chips. The genre doesn’t lend itself to a lot of variation, so I kinda wish I’d stopped for a fish & chips at the truck right across the street instead, for half the price
D. J.
Nice quantity of delicous food for a very good price. I did enjoy the place decoration. I did feel like in an old bar, it was amazing experience.
The only disadvantage is that you can't pay by card. However, the cash machine is few meters away, so not a big deal.
K. H.
What a great fish and chip shop/ restaurant. Had a lovely lunch here today. The place was welcoming with great decor. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The food well cooked, hot! And tasty.
Spotlessly clean.
Will definitely go back.
R. P.
Extremely tasty fish meals. Fried cod comes straight out of heaves instead of ocean on your plates. Prices are resonable. Many sauces for free. Very mindful service on top. Very casually 👍👍👍
M. M.
Very nice service and friendly staff, Food was outstanding, i would advise this to all my friends and family the location was very easily to find food was very nice and tasty going to come again
C. P.
Craving chips and popped in here as a colleague had said how good the place was. The staff were incredibly friendly and the quality of the chips outstanding. Topped with the classic kebab shop style sauces they really hit the spot and a bargain in London at £2 for a decent size portion of chips!!!
N. A.
I have been going here for a long time and the food is always fantastic. The service is also great, you can't go wrong.
O. D.
I've been to many fish restaurants but none matches the quality of fishcotheque. They make traditional fish&chips and also grilled fish. And they fry fish and other meat sourced products separately so it is also suitable for real vegetarians (and those who is sensitive about halalness). Highly recommended!
I. T.
Great restaurant, which you might pass by without noticing if you are not looking for it. The Cod fish and chips tasted amazing, and the prices are below the average for that area. Friendly waiters and good music. There are no alcoholic drinks.
J. P.
Been here couple times and this place just gets better and better everytime I come in for a meal. I love their cod and chips. Their fish is delivered daily from the billingsgate market, which makes it even more appealing. Alongside the food, the customer service is also very good. Staff have a smile on their face everytime I go in there.
C. D.
Best fish and chips in London
A. S.
Best fish and chips I have ever had. Nice service I recommend this place for everyone
b. f.
absolutely delicious! if you have celiac or a gluten issues they have perfected grilling sea bass. the chips are fantastic & the staff is kind & efficient. definitely stop by here if you can!

Amazing Fish and Chips!London Locals Eat Here! Yummers
M. M.
Very delicious fish and chips! Best I had in London. The fish is extremely fresh.
One suggestion: please allow option to pay by card
A. N.
Generous portions and lovely service
N.
First time buying fish to take away. The fish was beautiful. It was meaty, fell apart nicely and the batter was lovely too. Definitely will be a repeat customer.
A. B.
Been here a few times. I only dropped a star because Friday 15.6.18 staff were very pushy to collect the bill AND still they don't do card payments.
Everything else was brilliant. Excellent food, wonderful establishment, staff great (but pushy near the end). We will return. Will they join 21st century?
D. H.
Just got the fish and chips and curry sauce from here working in doon st live 40miles from ere if i could give 10stars i would blinding bit of fish and chips one of the best i ever had and staff so friendly cheers Bec see u again wen in area👍
M. R.
This is one of central Londons longest established fish and chip restaurants based near Waterloo Station. It is ideal for travellers and visitors to the old Vic theatre or South bank concert halls. It has a reasonable number of tables. It also has an aquarium. Service is good and friendly. The food is excellent. Not the cheapest but certainly great value. I have been going here for over 20 years, a great place to eat in London.
N. W.
During our trip to London, we walked by this place and decided to give it a try. I'm certainly glad we did. Friendly staff, and great food along with large portions made our day. Highly recommended.
T. W.
Not cheap, expect to pay over £12 for fish&chips and cup of tea. Table service but no table linen. Be careful what you order, make sure waitress understands or you can find extra items appearing on your table.
N. P.
A fun place, quirky with 60s pop music tapes and all sorts of oddments scattered round the restaurant (eg model cars) been the same since it opened in 1974. The cheese and onion pasty I had wasn't up to much but the chips were OK. I didn't mind though, as it was a pleasure just to be somewhere with such character. Really nice service both friendly and efficient. Good place to talk and obviously had lots of regulars.
K. G.
Amazing food. Friendly staff.
Recommend.
a. a.
I love their fish and chips. In last visit I ate sea bass. It was delicious as well.
Friendly staff. Good environment
M. C.
Good chippy for Waterloo station. Must try their home made fishcakes. Can eat in or take away. If your in a hurry for your train and want a good fish supper this is the place. Make everyone on your train look on in envy as you tuck into a good portion of well prepared fish and chips.
a. o.
Marvellous venue, smiling staff
Well experienced chefs convenient prices, unforgettable matchless fresh taste
Thank u very much indeed, loved it
Definitely recommend it
K. s.
Nice fish and chips and we had a good feed for a fair price.
J. M.
Food was good, but travelers beware that this place only takes cash. I had to go and get some from an atm in the station while my family waited on me because we missed the "no credit cards" sign. (The waitress didn't mention it either when she took our order but also said the same problem happened about for times a day. We didn't go back.)
S. B.
Love love love this place! Such nice staff and the food is incredibly good plus the value is excellent for the area. I keep going back for their fish burger (which is £3.95 whereas anywhere else in the area would charge a tenner)
H. J.
Proper fish and chips! So great... You can skip the fish cake starter... It's just mashed potatoes and fish deep fried. It was ok but the fish and chips were so much better.. So save space in your Tummy,
T. R.
Great fish but as others have said chips could be better. Cod and Chips with tea will cost 10p shy of £15! However it was enjoyable
a. e.
Best Fish & Chip shop in London. Super friendly staff. I went there just before closing-time and they still made me a Fresh Delicious piece of Fish. Seriously, Thank you soo much guys!
D. L.
Small cozy fish and chip shop very close to Waterloo station. Offers sit down table service - the menu offers a slightly wider range than the average suburban chippie. Prices for eating in reflects Central London location so a meal for two (which included a couple of sides and three soft drinks) came to about £40.
j. t.
A stones throw away from the Imax cinema Waterloo roundabout.
Situated under a railway bridge.
Don't let the location fool you. It's a bloody decent chip shop. Clean and reasonably priced
Been using it for years and never had a complaint.
Fish delivered daily from billingsgate.
Sit down or take away.
Nothing special or fancy but a thoroughly decent place. 👍
A. B.
Good tasting fish and chips in a modern space. Yet it is overpriced, it took them more than 30 mins to prepare it while on a weekday and also charged us for a Coke we never ordered.
Z. G.
Fish was good and tasty, chips was too soft to my liking. Wouldn't complain really if it wasn't that pricy. Cash only is a nuisance in 2019.
T.
Awesome food n local feel. Calamari rings one of the best I've tasted. Fish is fresh and really good. Perfect find in this Waterloo area if looking to stay away from tourist traps.
A. M.
It was a very delicious fish and it was that amazing that i have never tasted before in my life.
M. A.
Awesome quality and tasty food!
C. M.
Bit worrying as they had a large gathering at the back...8 people at 1 table and kids running around. One thinking it funny coughing at another. Other than that food was nice worth the money
T.
Hidden under the Arches just outside Waterloo Station. A really good find. Had cod and Chips which tasted fresh and chips were very good. Reasonable value for money, waitress service very good and time to be served excellent.
D. D.
Excellent Fish and Chips.
J. W.
Cash only.
Decent fish and chips served quickly opposite Waterloo Station. Great fishcakes. Even burgers.
Typical basic fish and chip shop decor. Friendly service.
K. A.
Best fish and chips I've had in ages!
T. M. B. T. P.
I have a confession to make. Despite living in Glasgow for 23 years, I had never tasted a deep fried mars bar. I stumbled upon Fishcotheque (a fish and chip restaurant, not a disco for fish) who had battered mars bars on the menu. I’m not a massive fan of the Mars bar either, but most things taste better deep fried, right?
The heat just turns the Mars bar into a gooey mess – in a good way. Having it on its own might be a little too much, so I was glad it came with two tasty scoops of vanilla ice cream so I could actually chew and not have the Mars bar stuck to all sides and corners of my mouth.
So the big question; is the deep fried mars bar a disgusting novelty or wrongly nice?
I have to admit, the deep fried mars bar might be one of my favourite desserts, it’s that good. That’s quite a statement for this sweet toothed foodie.
I also had a steak and kidney pie for the first time too (I know Fishcoteque is a fish and chip restaurant but I wasn’t in the mood for fish this time round).
Equally pleasing, it was about 5cm deep with tender steak and plenty of gravy. In fact, the pie was packed with filling which all came spilling out when cutting into the pie. And then there were the classic ‘fish and chip shop’ chips that accompanied the pie too.
Sit in or take away, you can admire their nautical memorabilia which decorate the walls.
Fishcotheque is moderately priced too, considering it’s close proximity to Waterloo station and the IMAX cinema.

Freshest, crispiest fish & chips we have eaten so far. Very friendly staff. Really good value for money even for out of London standards.
a. m.
Last Saturday i visited this Fishcotheque in Waterloo and i was really amazed by the quality of food they serve. I enjoyed very much the authentick english fish and chips, the portion was generously big and the service was incredibly attentive and polite. The prices were very reasonable. Visiting this place really made my day!
R. T.
Great fish and chips, fresh fried fish in good hot oil so the result is dry fresh fish and chips, not oily. Excellent. Also, they are super friendly and the price is good
S. G.
Absolutely delicious fish and chips, friendly service. Couldn’t have asked for more. Thanks for being open for us.
V. V. T.
Too expensive but the fish is nice.
F. O.
Great service. The fish and chips is on point, definitely go here if looking for the typical f&c experience. It was pretty fast and the ambience is nice. Good music.
C. E.
Note that this place is cash only. The food was tasty and the service was good, generally good value. It's quite a well decorated establishment with some old-fashioned posters which make for a nicely themed environment.
D. H.
Good fish and chip shop
S. J.
Great quality fish and chips with generous portions.
R. K.
Low price ,large portions, tasty fish and chips.
B. v. m.
Great place good food nice people
S. W.
Fishcotheque is awesome and delicious. Discovered it on recommendation of a tour guide and was exactly what I was hoping for. Classic hole-in-the-wall chips place. Very tasty, fresh fish. Highly recommend. 👍
T.
Come here often for lunch on Fridays as I work in Waterloo. Good sized portions at a reasonable cost. The interior is very unique with random things everywhere including a fish aquarium! The atmosphere is relaxed, the staff are friendly and service is very efficient.
S. D.
Best fish ive ate so far. Thanks to the respectfull staff. Keep up the good work.
I. O.
Excellent local chip shop. Good, wholesome, inexpensive food. You can get a big box of chips, smothered in a mild curry sauce for £4.00. You won't regret it.
A. H.
This place was really good! We walked past a few other places with fish and chips to come here. So worth it. They didn't take credit cards when we were there so keep that in mind.
s. m.
Excellent fresh fish and chips served hot. Good honest service.
M. L.
We were walking around in London craving some fish and chips. It started pouring outside and fortunately we were walking by this restaurant. The price is good and the portions are quite large. Glad we happened to be in the right place at the right time.
S. k.
My first time trying fish and chips, and was not disappointed! The fish was crispy and the fries were crunchy. The meal was not expensive, definitely worth a try.
M. G.
Excellent and genuine food! The hand cut chips really tasty!
K. L.
I had fish n chips (cod) at Fishcotheque wich were cooked to perfection! Crisp on the outside and steaming hot and juicy on the inside! Good spacing and the were very Nice. :)
S. G.
This is a great fish and chips option to get the real feel of English fish and chips with the two traditional fish options and great diner-style service. It is cash only, so come prepared!
T. M.
Sit in Cod and chips were superb and service was great. A little on the expensive side but hey it's central London. Clean and simple with a friendly atmosphere
I would definitely go again.
N. T.
Great food, lovely 70s decor. Only thing to remember is that they don't take cards. Nearest cash machine is a minute or so away outside Sainsbury's, opposite the Tube.
B. B.
Very cute with quintessential British fish and chips...and the chicken was great too! Be aware they don't take cards* Definitely worth it and we'll be back.
A. M.
Hello you are are best FISH and CHIPS shop in WATERLOO you should be NUMBER 1 you treat the customers good and the best you take care your ☪️ friend ALI-M-MOGUL 😀
d.
Good fish and chips for good prices. I had the cod and it was fried to order with curry sauce.
M. T.
Enjoyed a good fish cake-and-chips, late on Friday evening, served by efficient and helpful staff. Tasty! Always go there when around.
E. A.
Decent fish & chip shop with sit down section - slightly expensive when compared to other local competitors, but tasty food nonetheless; we wanted to try this place out to see how it did and we liked the place and the food, however, we will be returning to our "usual" place down the road in future as it offers better value for money.
S. D.
Had cod and chips last night wow ! It was truly superb fish. These guys deserve to do well. Will go there whenever I go to Waterloo
J. B.
SO GOOD. More than enough food, absolutely delicious, very cool decor, and close enough to all the sites but just hidden enough away to feel cozy. The staff was friendly and attentive (and as a plus all very attractive)!
S.
Really good restaurant but it's really expensive just for 1 fish and chips
R. u.
very nice and friendly, and delicious
K.
Extremely fresh with good portions. Best eaten hot.
k. m.
Really good fish and chips compared to others I've had. A good selection of other food as well like omelettes, burgers, etc. Cash only
U. B.
Clean and halal fish as they are not mixing fish with other food. Tasteful. I would recommend you to taste sea bass grill.
D.
Good portions and well cooked service comes with no fuss but efficient and charming prices a tad on the r high side for fish and chips but rg as London unfortunately
신.
Not bad. But, only cash available.
R. E.
Cute, quirky spot. Decent fish & chips. Reasonable prices considering the location. Near Waterloo station, so easy to get to. Usually not a long wait.
P. A.
The food was good, and came fast. Too bad that they don't have alcohol license, but I could get a beer from the outside and drink it there. I recommend fish and chips.
S. O.
Excellent cod and chips.
d. d.
Great place & very simpatico staff
Coming here from a few years already for a nice Cod - always very yummy - so yeah I def. recommend that place.
oh yes Very very interesting and different look inside + nice music from 50ties
P. B.
Lovely staff and many fish exactly for your own taste! We had a great time. Good price, great portion!
M. B.
Restaurant serves top quality Fish. It is in a very good location, and i have personally been eating here many times. The staff are very friendly, and at todays prices it is very reasonable.
G. M.
It's a pity you can't pay with neither debit nor credit cards, but fish & chips is awesome!
P. K.
Oh my god! We just left fischoteque and the food was AMAZING! Fish and sticks, onion rings, salad, mushy peas. The service also was very good. Thank you
K. R.
Crispy crunchy fish in batter and real chips not French fries, you can have salad as well, I had sticky toffee pudding and ice cream.... beautiful
Y. H.
Probably the greatest fish and chip shop in all of London. You're missing out if you haven't dined here.
R. G.
So glad that Fishcoteque are open during this lockdown. Always the best place for us to have fish and chips. Really friendly service.
S. B.
Great fish and chips eatery. One of the best tasting fish and chips I have ever eaten. They don't accept credit cards.
K.
Expected more from others' review. It is OKay but not the right destination for seeking the BEST fish & chips in London (So far, Golden union is the best). Have to pay 1 pound extra for "each" order.
S. O. B.
Great service and a nice place!
M. K.
Perfect. Very delicious. Didn’t wait long and very kind staff. I would give it 10 stars if possible.
b. R.
Great fish n chips, but not sea bass. I really dont recommend it. Cod however was worth the price
O. A. C.
We walked 3 km to eat at a famous fish&chips restaurant but the place was not open and the staff was extremely rude, so we decided to eat at Fishcotheque and it was absolutely delicious experience. Friendly staff and good food.

You can have fish and chips at very reasonable price. You can take out, and then you can get discount. They did so well to us. Very good place to go

Nice little shop serving good portions of tasty fish. It's a bit pricier than other fish & chips shops and they don't accept cards.

Fish and chips are delicious and large helpings. The prices aren't as low as described in our travel guide anymore though (fish and chips around 9£ to take away).

Great place for a nice quick, fried meal. Not licensed. Cash only. If you’re craving fish n chips worth the visit.
J. H.
Good fresh food, good service.
4 stars as it's very expensive for fish and chips, but it's Central London, so everything is expensive.

Friendly and interested staff in a retro-looking chip shop. Narrow entrance but more tables in the back than you would expect. Nothing fancy about the food, but reasonable price for classic chip shop stuff.

I found this to be a good place for fish and chips. The only reason I didn't give 5 is because I find that there is better fish and chips in Newfoundland, canada.

The fish and chips aren't spectacular, but they are certainly good enough for a quick pop-in. The service was extremely fast, and the ambiance was friendly.

Fresh and tasty fish and chips. Atmosphere is difficult to describe but I'd say something a bit like a bar/disco

Came here after a long time. Was pleasantly surprised to see the quality is still excellent. Ordered Cod and chips and really enjoyed it.

Cod is very fresh and tasty, but expect to spent not less than 12.5 pounds. The place itself is quite basic.
