Reviews of Gokyuzu Restaurant Finchley
F. Y.
I heard tons of great things about this place and had been looking to go for some time. I assure its worth a visit. The restaurant has adequate free parking and it's a very large restaurant one that's always busy too! A sign of a good restaurant! The atmosphere, service and aura was outstanding! The food was absolutely delicious! Soft meats and well marinated better than most Turkish places you've tried before. The service is super quick too and staff are very polite. The kunafe was exceptional too! Slightly on the pricier side but its so worth the the extra cost! Will definitely be visiting many times again
N. W.
Really tasty food at good prices. We had the chicken wings, sea bass and baklava and it was all excellent. Large portions and really good value for money. This place is always packed whatever day of the week which says something. Staff all very friendly

I have visited the branch in Green Lanes, I was very disappointed, I read many good reviews about this branch so I said give it a try, honestly it was not that great, the food was good but not exceptional, I have been at better similar Turkish restaurants in London, prices are high than average but the decoration is nice and service is professional, so you pay for the place, presentation of the plats is so modest, the only surprising thing is the kunafa was so delicious, small size but better than what I expected after we had the food. Another good thing is free parking but limited spaces.

Without a doubt one of the best Turkish restaurants in London. Almost Everything I had there was very delicious. The staff is friendly and helpful but when they are very busy you will have to wait to order something else. During the weekend they are very busy and will be better if you got a booking, otherwise you’ll have to wait. The humus was amazing. Lamb chops as well. The baklava was very expensive in my opinion - £6.50 and it wasn’t something special.
A. A.
The food was exceptionally good. I loved the surroundings, lovely space. However, very popular... car parking on site was full, so I had to park across the road.
M.
By far the most authentic Turkish restaurant in London. Food is delicious and the portions are very big. Only drawback is it’s always very busy on weekends and service can be slow. Better to come on a weekday. Great place for celebrations. Staff were very helpful and accommodating for my friend’s birthday dinner.

First visit here, but would return. Huge place and absolutely full - friends, families, birthday celebrations, so a great atmosphere - quite loud but clever design so didn't feel squashed in. Food was excellent and lots of staff so slick, efficient service. Not enough space in restaurant's own car park so next time would just park in closest bit of main complex car park and walk over.

From time to time - when a group of us go out for a meal - Gokyuzu fits perfectly. The grilled meats and accompaniments are a delight for young kids, adults and not so young adults as well. The place has plenty of room, specially upstairs. There is plenty of space in the esplanade as well, weather permitting.
I used to be a big fan of Lemonia in Primrose Hill but this Turkish place has an edge on almost every aspect in my dining experience.
The parking is an added plus although it can be be full however the Lido spaces can be useful.
A. P.
The food here was simply superb, highly recommended. The restaurant was lively which made a great atmosphere. The service was friendly and quick despite how busy it was. Will go again.

Today marks our 100th visit! Every time delighted to be here at this Turkish restaurant. It value for money! The food is always fresh and delicious we always order the jumbo platter with Lahmachun. We were served by Art, who made our experience even better today!
T. T.
Great restaurant, great food, great service only one let down on the visit is delay in food order being taken and arrival of food ordered to our table apart from that this is one place I'm always recommending for my friends and family to try out and I've been many times before here and at the a406 branch both are very good and lively to eat at here's some picture for my followers and subscribers 😀 😋
A. H.
Lovely food! Got a mixture of different things to try. For first time customers I think the best bet is to have a platter and try small dishes so you can have a real taste of turkish food! I especially liked the desserts they had which paired beautifully with their tea, would recommend you all to try that. 👍🏽
p. p.
Food was excellent. I'd recommend a handful of dishes from their menu, which is really good. Great service, very friendly staff. Price is a tad expensive, but food was worth it. The started calamari was extra chewy and overcooked to our liking, and I would not suggest any of the alcoholic beverages. Overall, I would definitely go again.

Pleasant Turkish restaurant, smart surroundings, good service and tasty fare.
A. A.
I've been here 3 times. Twice for breakfast and once for dinner. Breakfast is excellent, I love their set menu, it's a decent dish with many options. Very satisfying when you're hangry first thing in the morning! I've also had dinner which was also excellent. They do get busy at time which is credit to their success, however waiting for a table isn't fun. I like their staff, they do their best. I've been in big groups of 20+ and smaller groups. I would go again, definitely. It's clearly popular as it's always others that suggest this place to eat. It's a massive restaurant and it's busy, that tells you everything you need to know.
K.
Loved this place and used to go there often. Now disappointment! Staff are not trained, the person welcoming people in let the men with the Lamborghini before my friend who was before them! Also, my child didn’t get tea automatically without even asking. They assumed that the child shouldn’t get one cause they’re little!
Really bad experience today and won’t go back until they change things. 3* for the food but service is terrible.
S. F.
Highly recommend visiting this Gokyuzu! I organised a family event for 30 people, and the restaurant was super accommodating! Even after we requested to be seated down stairs for wheelchair accessibility at very short notice - the staff were quick to help, providing excellent customer service. The food was excellent, cannot fault it, because everything was cooked to perfection. The restaurant is beautiful and a perfect place to have a special meeting. All in all, had a fantastic time, and I want to extend my thanks to everyone at Gokyuzu that made my even so special ♥️
U. R.
Went there for my brothers birthday and it was great service. Staff were very friendly and food was delicious. Definitely would recommend this place but try avoiding busy periods or maybe book a table before arriving as they seem extremely popular.

The one in Finchley has a great outdoor area and you able to admire the beautiful architecture of the building... I love the arched windows... inside very chic and a good taste of colour choice. Has car parking.
Is a generous restaurant in space and you might join them without reservations.
They offer complimentary mixed salad and dipping with freshly baked Turkish bread. But don't get tempted too much otherwise will be a shame not to enjoy fully the mouth watering dishes.
I tried few mezze dishes this evening and was great ... I find the spinach one too much yoghurt and not much leaves in it.
The liver was fantastic and the borek so crisp and delicious, aubergine with tomato is always amazing. Kisir was my favourite!!!
My mother enjoyed an she was amazed with the tender meat from the soup(Sade paca soup).
No room left for dessert, however we took some rice pudding home.
Enjoyed some Turkish tea before leaving our seats. Will be back!
V. B.
A nice place which has seating both downstairs and upstairs.
Menu has a variety of choice for vegetarians. Reasonably priced. Not a great deal of choice if you are a vegan. Portions are fairly large and all meals are freshly prepared.
Staff are friendly and very accomodating.
T. T.
Good atmosphere and location. Not very loud compared to other Turkish restaurant. Friendly staff. Prices are little bit expensive and you can get more for less price in other Turkish restaurants. Food tastes average and nothing extraordinary.
S. P.
The Gokyuzu brand has multiple branches. I have always been impressed with restaurants. This is one of their largest and most lavish shops. With ample outdoor and indoor seating. Perfect for a nice warm day or even in tje winter. They have another floor too, total capacity must be north of 150 easily.
The turkish style food here is of a very good standard. Especially the salad and vegan options. Plent of free on site parking, halal and ultra clean.
Staff work here at a fast pace, so service is excellent. What are you waiting for?

One the best Turkish I have ever had, the waiters are so polite and service was spot on excellent.
W.
Nice Turkish restaurant but there were some issues
🥘
Breakfast menu was limited to a traditional Turkish breakfast, idk if its because of covid they didn’t have other options so not sure. The breakfast had a big variety of things but it was all soaked in oil. They use a lot of oil in making the omelette and grilling the veggies so it wasn’t the healthiest thing to eat tbh!
The olives were superb though
🍹
Had turkish coffee and some cold drinks and they were nice and refreshing
🪑
They have a nice outdoor seating are which is perfect for large groups! We did my friend’s graduation celebration there and it was perfect!
👩💼
Some staff were nice and some were very unfriendly. We called them before coming to book a table outsides for breakfast then when we came a waitress said they dont open the outside area until 1 which ruined our plans for a bit. She was very blunt and unfriendly and I just wanted to end the convo with her!
But in the other hand there were other waitresses and another waiter who were friendly
Main problem is the service was late and they can ignore you sometimes which is frustrating
A. E.
Ive visited this place many times. Everytime i come, it just gets better and better. The food is always amazing with a wide range of turkish food, you will be spoiled for choice. This time i got prawns and i can say they were amazing! The staff are friendly and helpful. The building is modern and aestheticly beautiful. I would reccomend this place highly!
R.
The atmosphere and staff are great! It’s a very popular/busy but altogether a nice experience. The cocktails were tasty and the food came swiftly, however I do believe it is very pricey. I paid around £10.60 for a halloumi salad - I have attached images of this. Personally i believe it is way to pricey for what it is, also the portion size is small. Normally you are provided with free bread and salad at your table and the free salad was more delicious than the one provided with the halloumi. Next time I would eat the salad at the table and buy the halloumi on it’s own. There are many restaurants who provide this food at the same quality at a much lower price! Also, the cocktail are delicious but there is never any offer and are over £10 a cocktail. In my opinion it’s nice to eat here but maybe on a special occasion due to the prices.
S. A.
Well the food was absolutely amazing. Service was very really good and so fast even on the busiest Saturday evening. Although, the food was authentically Turkish but restaurant's interior was far far away to give you any Turkish vibe!!
That's the only downside of this eatery earning it my 4 star ratings.
A. S.
Fantastic food. Taste is outstanding. Busy all the time. Over crowded. Service is good.
a. j.
One of the better Turkish restaurants I have been to. The cop shish was succulent, juicy and tender and definitely a hit with our group. I have to say though, the service was a little sub par and it took a while to get any waiter to take our order or to get any help during our time there. If their service matched their food, this restaurant would definitely have earned more stars!
J. O.
A great Turkish restaraunt. Great atmosphere and good food - very plentiful. I saw so many going away with doggie bags! Lovely touch bringing a dip and bread when we arrived and an absolutely yummy complimentary salad with the meal. Not cheap but well worth the money
J. L.
There was parking available and we knew you couldn't book. It is a comfortable unpretentious chain. We chose it because we like lamb. I also enjoy the healthy complimentary salad. The house wine was mildly fruity. We enjoyed a shared mixed platter with lamb and chicken which was tender and tasty. The rice goes well soaking up the flavours and gravy. The atmosphere was pleasant with mainly family groups. So, it was an enjoyable experience midweek at a reasonable cost. It was our second visit this year.
S.
Enjoyed our 15 year anniversary there. Great service and food. Thank you.
C. M.
Good food, good service. Gets really loud in there when moat tables are filled to the point where you can't hear yourself talking but other than that it was a good experience. All Covid-19 measures in place. Garden/outside dining area with smoking allowed and plenty of parking. Good for large groups and family gatherings.
F. A.
Awesome restaurant, great ambience and service. Food was served fresh and tasted delicious. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experience fine Turkish dining. Will be coming here again soon
J. Z.
Great Turkish food, stays close to the original in Green Lanes, with a much bigger space. Very much family oriented and always busy therefore very noisy. That us my only concern with the place.
Try the Lahmacun and Jumbo meat platter!
T.
OMG IS ALL I CAN SAY THE FOOD IS AMAZING,TASTY AND WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING BACK,staff very attentive and helpful it’s one of the best restaurants I can honestly say I’ve been to in London and worth every single penny
M. h. T. (. Q. P.
Long time since I ate here, but food was amazing like always.
A. S.
This place is great! Great food and very polite and friendly staff that are always making your dining experience great.
Y. A.
Delicious, as always! Perfect chicken and lamb shish. The pide is wonderful and that tangy house salad....I could be happy just eating the entrez!
It's a little pricey but the standards are always high.
What would make things so much better and closer my experiences with Turkish hospitality, is the offer of a free house black tea after the meal.
P. A. K.
My very large family and I (16 people) came here last min. Com after we took the kids bowling.
We walked in and was greeted and seated ASAP.
The staff were extremely helpful food was served quickly.
Lovely time for the family and kids are welcomed. We were very noisy and cutlery was constantly being dropped on the floor 😩 staff were very attentive and quickly replaced everything
My family had such a great time, very clean, food is fresh, and prices are great.
Love Phong ❤️

I loved my experience at this restaurant. Convient parking and generous space for seating with lovely interior design over two floors with floor to ceiling height glazed walls! The service was great and the food was delicious; luckily portion sizes were generous too and prices were in line with expectations.
A. A.
Top class! The lamb kebab is unbelievably juicy and succulent. Its rare to find a Kebab shop serving you such well cooked hot meal.
We went for the full platter which was supposed to be enough for 2 but it was certainly more than enough for 2. We couldn’t really finish all the chicken pieces. However, the Baklava is nostalgic! It’s reminiscent of something really sweet and fun I’ve had back in India. The Turkish coffee or Greek coffee ☕️ is again small but super amazing. The chunky coffee grains at the bottom remind me of many coffees I had in Athens.
D. D. S.
One of the best Turkish restaurants around. Good food and great to cater large groups. I have given 4* because the last time I attended around 10pm the bread they served was hard and chewy. Definitely not fresh and quite disappointing.
o.
I've been to a few of the other branches before covid when the restaurant was available to dine in. Came here and ordered my usual sea bass with baby potatoes and seasoned bread and I can say they didn't disappoint as usual. This branch has loads of space . A big car park and the whole restaurant looks clean . Due to covid it's takeaway or delivery only but it the food quality was sill the same
E. A. A.
Good experience. Fantastic food .very friendly staff.good service
U. T.
Really good food. Very clean nice
G. R.
Service and good was outstanding, totally halal and plenty of parking spaces.
E. H.
Fabulous food and surroundings. Excellent customer service. Will definitely be back when I'm in London again!
R. L.
Love this place! One of my favourite Turkish restaurants in London - amazing quality for the price!
Z. M.
Excellent service, my favourite Turkish restaurant, food is always consistent.
G. R.
Great size portions couldn't finish it all so we were given a doggy bag to take away.
Full Platter - Served with rice & bulgur £52.50
Lamb shish, Chicken shish, Adana kebab, Lamb ribs 4 pcs & Chicken wings 8 pcs
Thumbs up tasty Turkish cuisine 👍🏻
M. D.
Food was delicious, service was very slow. They need more staff
E. M.
Very nice place and delicious food. Very busy at peak times but they will make sure you get a table.
F. S.
Been to a variety of Gokyuzu restaurants all have the same quality food and service. This was my first visit to the finchley branch, and its one of the best. Sit upstairs if you can. Even though really busy, excellent service from staff. I will be back !
H. A.
Huge restaurant, over three floors and ample seating. Large free car park outside. Great food quality, perfectly cooked grilled meat. Free complimentary bread and Turkish tea. One of the best knafa we’ve ever had, a must try. Will definitely return when in the area. Very family friendly and quick/ friendly service.
S. M.
Good food, friendly staff. One drawback is the food timing. The starter, mezze and main course came to the table within a few minutes from eachother. Next time I go I will order each course individually.
Y. M.
Food was good service very poor inside was very clean over rated and bit pricey
H. R.
The sit in is very nice. The staff are polite. They give a free salad dip and naan with each table which is generous. The prices have gone up with the pandemic it seems so 1 starter 2 mains and 2 drinks costs around £50. We went on a weekend afternoon... there was no que and people were spaced out for social distancing. In an area where there are so many nice turkish restaurants the pricing let's it down for 1 star... I've docked it another as their custom tomato sauce dressing seems to be not as nice as before of some of the other turkish restaurants is better.
J. L.
I enjoyed the food here very much. I recommend going with a group of people so you can have a bit of everything. Price is decent and they have outdoor seating right now. Tea is good here too.
Z.
Really good food and setting. Although I would say it’s on the pricey side. Bonus is they have free parking & a prayer place on the 3rd floor. Can be a little difficult to get staff attention, and not all of them seem happy to be there! But nothing major to complain about.
N. J.
Food was nice but despite there bein alot of staff our service was rubbish. It wasnt busy so I'm not sure why they weren't more attentive. Asked my parner what he wanted for a drink but not me. Just walked away to get his beer. So I wasnt impressed. Didnt check on us to see if food was ok
N. I.
Great place, great food, lovely Turkish tea, fantastic desserts

Decided to try the Gökyüzü in Finchley and it did not disappoint one bit!
What we ordered:
Humus
Sucuk
Mixed Kebab (lamb and chicken shish, adana kebab, ribs, chicken wings) with rice and a portion of fries 🤩
Künefe
~
Love that it has its own car park and easy access to the restaurant as it’s in a leisure park! 🚗
The food was cooked perfectly, wasn’t overcooked or undercooked, just bang on 🔥 really tasty and full of flavour but was slightly over salted, seems like most Turkish places are! The adana kebab was my favourite! The fries and the rice is just what you’d expect in a Turkish place, really lovely! 🤤
The dessert was probably my favourite, rich in flavour, the cream and the soft crunch in the Künefe was amazing, a must try!!
Overall I would 100% recommend this place, if you’re feeling a Turkish and in London, you have to try Gökyüzü! They have 4 locations so shouldn’t be too far out for you! 👀
The service here was absolutely fantastic, always there when we needed something and went out their way and really honest about the portion sizes! Thank you ❤️

Friendly, welcoming and attending service. Went for lunch, fast and speedy service and the food was delicious and fresh. Complimentary Turkish bread and salad for customer as well. Would recommend to anyone moving into North Finchley, LONDON area.
F. K.
I have been to so many Turkish restaurants in London and I can say that this restaurant is by far the best. The atmosphere was amazing, the food was splendid and the customer service was second to none. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to experience proper Turkish cuisine and would definitely love to come back again 💯💯
E. D.
Starters are absolutely delicious but if you're charging £18.5 for a lamb kebab then the quality of the meat should be first class and not tough.
B. X.
Delicious food, good atmosphere and amazing service from Art ☺️ thank you!
T. D.
Ordered a platter between Three of us, more than enough food for all of us. Food was very tasty and I've eaten in quite a few Turkish restaurants. Will return again with my family.
G. B.
Love the food! The prices have gone up after covid!
E. K.
One of the best turkish restaurant in London. Good atmospher for family lunch/dinner or get together with larger group. The grills are done right, taste really delicious. The warm baklava is also really2 nice. Service is good and food ready quickly considering how busy they are
M. S.
The food tastes really fresh and really well cooked, especially the grilled meat and chicken. Great service and the car park makes it really easily accessible.
D. M.
Not bad at all. Very similar to Efes. Got the platter and would recommend the ribs the most.
L. A. R.
Always on point, the consistency of this place is amazing. Make booking if possible because 90%of the time is full. Great service, very fast and delightful.
T. K.
Decent place for dinner! The food is nice and price is ok too! Go during the afternoon its the best!
B. B.
Food was fine but their service was slow and acoustics of a building is awful. We couldn’t even hear each other at the same table.
L.
Always amazing food, great quality and filling. Staff are quick and polite.
x.
Compared to other Turkish restaurants who provide practically the same food, these portion sizes are horrendous. Other than that, it still tasted good 3 out of 5. You can find somewhere similar easily.
A. E.
Food was very nice however bit pricey for what it is, drinks are way too expensive. The worst thing was the service was very poor, waiters did not know what they were doing
S.
Not sure about this place anymore. The past few times we've been the service has been pretty poor. It's nice to see a place doing well and you can, of course, forgive some mistakes and absent-mindedness but I feel like their success has made them complacent.
Tonight we were sat outside because we had our dog with us and were basically just forgotten about, they forgot basic but important specifications with both of our orders and totally forgot to bring one dish we had ordered until we were almost finished with our mains! There was no apology either, it was simply put on our table.
There are only a few vegan options and they are all in the mezze options, so only small plates. It wouldn't be hard to introduce a few more. I always go for the vegetable kebab (vegan only if you refuse their rice which they put butter in and have humus instead of yoghurt) but was disappointed to find the portion has really shrunk.
Also my partner was unhappy with his mixed meat kebab as the chicken lacked the usual flavour and the rice was entirely tasteless.
All things considered it was pretty rubbish and certainly not worth the money. Won't be returning anytime soon.
Y. W.
Lovely Turkish food! Went early in the evening on the first day of the Help Eat Out scheme, it was packed. Bread could be warmer rice could be more flavourful, but both lamb and chicken are the best I have had in a Turkish restaurant. Very modern display and nice atmosphere. Live nearby and would love to come back every now and then in the future
V. F.
Amazing food and very generous portions!
The big jumbo platter is complete and serves easily 10 person.
Nice and friendly staff 👌
M. K.
A lovely Turkish restaurant.
Nicely located close to the Vue cinema and Hollywood bowl. So if you're feeling hungry after a bit of bowling or a film, here is a good place to eat.
My family and I were greeted by a nice waitress. Staff here are friendly and hospitable.
I ordered a small Adana kebab, it came with a bit of rice and grilled tomato with green pepper. For a drink I ordered an Ayran, a yoghurt drink.
After that I was offered a classic red Turkish red tea. It had a sweet aroma.
For dessert, I had a lemon & marscapone cheesecake with english tea.
The one good thing about this place is the interior design. The colours and the patterns are a delight to look at.
Overall, my family and I had a nice dinner, giving us a pleasant evening.
A lovely Turkish restaurant, I highly recommend. ^_^
M.
Lovely food but quite pricey these days. Would prefer it if waiters wore masks.
R. C.
Delicious sharing platters for family celebration - lots of others doing the same and it was incredibly loud inside. Plenty of yummy food so we took some home to continue the celebration! Rice pudding was particularly enjoyed.
J. V.
The food was good, the decor was really nice, but way overpriced, food is ot as tasty as Kervan, yet twice as expensive.
V. S.
This is a Turkish restaurant and is based in a complex with other restaurants and a cinema. Food was good started of with some fresh bread served with a dip. We ordered a platter which came with ribs chicken wings and boneless chicken on a bed of rice. You had a choice of a platter or you could order individually as in the picture. Service was good and parking was available.
A. Q.
Beautiful decor and very clean which is important in these covid times we are living in. Clear stickers on the floor to mark where to walk, even though when we where leaving customers didn't seem to adhere to it much but that's not the restaurants fault. Track and trace procedure being adhered to.
Food wise, delicious!! I'm vegetarian and my partner eats meant. I ordered 2 starters and some chips all 3 delicious, chips where very fresh and my partner ordered the mixed shish, the meat was so juicy and was well presented.
All in all very impressed with everything, hence the 5 stars, would recommend to anyone.
M. L.
Very nice food and ambience but people not wearing masks.
D. H.
Been a few times this time the food wasn't so great Chicken Doner very greasy, staff always nice. There should be a footpath to the restaurant it's a deathtrap
S. B.
Very busy, best to book in advance but still a slight wait during busy periods. Helpful and polite staff. Amazing food, best turkish in the area. Parking tight but not a problem when I have been there.
T. M.
Great service, great food 👌 we had a party of 17 and on a busy night like Valentines the service was absolutely amazing.
F. R.
I must say always like going to Gokyuzu restaurant , never been disappointed. Portions are big staff are nice
K. D.
I have to mention there are couple of negative review saying overcooked meat.
İf they were not unlikey with their plates, usually all Turkish restaurant cooks meat well done.
Specialy chargrill, so don't think it's overcooked, well cooked and still juicy
I think gökyüzü keep doing better and better. Always upgrading itself.
Because of that it's deserve to be best Turkish restaurant not only at North but whole London.
Food is delicious , service is very good.
This branch design is amazing
I really love it.
Best for groups and families.
İt's experience to be there
K. A.
Really enjoyed dining in this place with my family. Will come again, although the prices are quite high. But defo recommended for once in a while treat.
P. L.
What an excellent extension to the range of Finchley's Turkish restaurants. Really tasty interesting food and plenty of it. A little more expensive than the kebab houses but so worth it.
I. O.
Great food as always. By far the best tasting turkish food in all of London. I would even struggle to fidn this quality in Turkey!
However they are so busy that the service lets them down slightly. They are consideribly short staffed so they are constantly running around like headless chicken making you feel uncomfortable and rushed. You'll be leaving a decent amount of money to eat here and its the last feeling you need!
S. I.
Benn here before, very big place with ample car park spaces. Went with a large group they accommodated well, servi e on point and food came fast and fresh. Woild highly recommend.
C. M.
Food was amazing 💙 but very expensive!! Very crowded place, you can't hear anything, the noise becomes annoying after the first half of hour spent there. I couldn't fully enjoy my meal because of that.

This place has great parking, lovely staff and delicious Turkish food. The prices, whilst not cheap, do reflect the quality of the entire experience. Will be returning.

Came here for a fantastic Sunday lunch. This restaurant has two floors in an open plan setting which caters well for groups with large tables; perfect for the food sharing vibe.
Everything tasted fresh, highly recommend the Jumbo platter where you get a selection of different meats.
One thing to note is that parking is limited directly outside so you may have to go around the corner.
D. E. S.
Very good Turkish restaurant in Finchley. The restaurant is very big and there is plenty of space on 2 floors. Weng on a Saturday night and it was full. They serve you free sauce, warm bread and a little salad for free to start with. Very good mercimek soup! The starters, especially the warm ones are fantastic. There menu is very good and a lot of options! Especially for vegetarians the vegetarian pide! There Baklava is ok. Good Turkish tea and Turkish coffee! Definitely one of the nicer Turkish restaurants to go.

OK..
I had alot of things I wanted to say about my visit here for example the wait for the service or how loud it was but this time I'll let it slide..
I was absolutely blown away with how good my food taste and the size of the portion, moneys worth.
I ordered the sarma chicken beyti which I highly recommend.
Great place for a family gathering or birthdays, beautiful decor and friendly staff.
And I love the complimentary herbal tea ☕
Fun fact : Gokyuzu means Sky in Turkish
Well done Gokyuzu 👌🏾
O. S.
Never disappoints. It was great to be back with a huge dine in crowd. The service was on point. The food was fresh. We ordered the usual Full Platter and Mozerella and Tomato Pide. Deserts were 3 scopps of ice cream and a belgian chocolate brownie with ice cream. We were offered complimentary Turkish tea at the end. Looking forward to the next visit
a. D.
Very busy place but a lot of spaces. The service was slow as it was extremely busy. The food was nice and staff friendly.
Free car park and there is a wheelchair access. Good place to go to perfect for family
M. T.
One of the best, most modern Turkish Restaurant in London. Family ambience. Good good, good service, & elegant serroundings.
D. H.
We went on a Thursday evening. The restaurant was quite busy, but the staff coped very well. The decor is very nice and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. Staff were friendly and welcoming which was matched by the top service and great food. Nice selections for vegetarians too, although I hope they add more variety in the future. Would definately reccomend to try.
N. S.
The place the nice and big with a lots of parking space , the food is your standard Turkish food but the service is just non existent
R. L.
Good food. Great service. The place is beautiful and the prices are accessible. Try to make reservations because it gets busy.
T. A.
The food is always amazing and fresh. The service is great. Usually pretty packed so booking is advised. Although even with walk-in I haven't had to wait too long.
Probs one of the best turkish places in London
i. 4.
Came tonight for my sisters birthday. Amazing customer service from Mesut! He was very helpful and very polite. Very impressed with the food portions and service in general
M. I.
It's ok. The food was nice but maybe too pricey for what you get compared to other Turkish restaurants around the area. The decor is amazing the place looked really nice and clean. For such a nice restaurant I was expecting a higher level of customer service. I found the service just average. Good for a night out and fancy dinner but not somewhere I would go frequently.
W. a.
They are still offering delicious food with good quantity and clean as well.. but I had to took off the 5 stars and downgrade to 3 as my last 2 visits had 2 situation with rude staff.. I know and respect you are a budy restaurant but this don't give any excuse for rudness.
Example: tonight I went to finchley branch stepped in and no one was in front door to seat customer, went to 1st floor where no one as well so stopped one of the waiteresses and asked her how to get a table for 4, she looked to me in an angry way and told you are not allowed to come up here and sit on any table by yourself, you have to wait down at the front door!! I informed I am asking you for that as I met no one down , she ignored me and left. If that is how you deal with your customers I think we have to reconsider coming back.
T. B.
Excellent service, lovely, happy and friendly staff. Service prompt and food excellent. Reasonable prices. What more could you want?
T. U.
Nice place... Good idea to book ahead.
A. E.
I had the best ever Albanian liver -Arnavut cigeri entire of my life. Meat was superb and mixed with lightly fried onion. What ever I write won't be enough to explain exquisite taste.
I. M.
My family and I had a great experience. The Staff were nice and the service was great. If you visit, I recommend their lamb ribs.
N.
This is a real hive of activity - tremendously popular and busy each and every day, the grill is a good 7 or 8 meters long with more than ten cooks producing a continuous stream of delicious meats … more than half of the food leaves with messenger mopeds to take the happiness to your front door, the rest is serving the two floors of laughing noisy customers, each table a celebration in itself . Book a table, order on Justeat or Ubereats … I love it and I’m sure you will too !
M. S.
Really authentic & tasty Turkish food abd great value. It’s a large restaurant so perfect for a socially distanced meal!
S. V.
Food is excellent and prices are fair. But they are not practicing social distancing whatsoever large queue next to eachother of over 40 people, no one is wearing masks or shields. We felt very exposed, we aren't visiting again before the pandemic is over
F. A.
Excellent evening at the Guktuzu.
Way too much food (we ordered the Jumbo combo which was way to big for two couples).
Everything was fresh and tasty. Super service.
With Bootle of wine, beers and sweet finale, the damage was at £130.
Again, stopping just for coffee and kunafe is justified IMHO. Simply beautiful...
Yes, there are plenty of good and cheaper Turkish restaurant competition around but we will happily go back.
e. t.
First time at this restaurant all I can say food was ok, but I had 5 bits of meat 1 pepper and a small portion of rice £14.50 was hard to stomach won't be going back.
S. P.
Nicely decorated and lively environment. Went on a busy Saturday, so getting staff attention was difficult at times, especially getting the bill. Understandable as they were very busy. Nice selection and quality of food, just had a main dish because the platter looked like a lot for two people (works well for 3) - will probably visit again sometime
S. T. A.
It's okay the atmosphere is nice but the food is mediocre
J. B.
Tasty food, large portions and on site parking. Quite noisy so expect to shout lots across the table. Waiters looked like they hated being there.
D. H.
Delicious Turkish food at reasonable prices and always super friendly service. Highly recommended - I'll be back very soon
S. E.
A friend took me here for dinner. Great food, fast service, plenty of parking, great atmosphere and large portions at affordable prices. They bring you free yoghurt and salad and freshly baked (on-site) warm Turkish bread whilst you wait for your meal followed by a free cup of Turkish tea for each patron! I took my friends there the week after!
L. W. A.
My husband loves Turkish food, so we went here for lunch. I'm not a big fan but I really enjoyed the food here. I usually go for the Sarma Beyti; chicken or lamb, as I find grilled meat on its own quite dry. Having said that, my husband's mixed grill was flavoursome and not dry at all. The price is reasonable and the portion size very generous. We've been to other Gokyuzu establishments and in my opinion, this new branch in Finchley is the best. There is ample free parking and a cinema and bowling alley in the same vicinity, should you wish to make a day out of it. The restaurant is spacious and decorated beautifully. The staff were very friendly and helpful. For a weekday lunchtime, the restaurant was very busy, with two large group bookings, but the staff still gave us sufficient attention. I will definitely be returning here.
What I ordered (From the Gokyuzu website): Sarma Kuzu Beyti at £15.50 (Marinated mince lamb seasoned with garlic & grilled over charcoal, wrapped in lavash bread with cheese & topped with tomato sauce, then drizzled with butter served with yogurt & bulgur)
Z. U.
restaurant is very spacious seating arrangements service is not bad considering it's was jam packed because of eat out to help out scheme
A. M.
Amazing food, friendly staff and great atmosphere!! What else do you need??!!
K. P.
Went for breakfast here. Plenty of choice and plentiful. My only problem is that you only get Turkish tea here. You have to pay separately if you want English tea.
D. K.
Great food and great service. Really nice ambience and a free Turkish tea at the end too
R. K.
Love love love the food here!
Friendly staff, trendy decor, clean and pleasant atmosphere and excellent service.
B. R.
We having Turkish breakfast every Sundays it’s very enjoyable and live turkish tea too ..very highly recommended ...
J. h.
I normally dont leave reviews but i would highly recommend this restaurant
Amazing food !Must Try
i. a.
Lovely building with lots of space- beautifully decorated- based in a trading estate so lots of parking- great menu with excellent Turkish food made fresh
O. E.
We visited with a bunch of friends. My wife and I had wonderful time and definitely enjoyed the cozy ambience treating ourselves to a huge beef platter.
Lols, we ate all of it before remembering to take photos😂
W.
Absolutely Fantastic food .
Great food great Value . It's so much food I always leave with a take away box.
a. B. I.
The meat is tender and succulent. The bread is warm and nice. It's a lovely restaurant with a lovely ambience.
R. F.
I would highly recommend Gokyuzu restaurant
Fantastic Service, friendly staff
I went with my friends for dinner to celebrate my anniversary, the service was amazing
Thank you very much !
S. A.
As usual turkish food at its finest taste. Service charge is a bit of surprise as I only seen it in the states.
T. T.
Probably the best Turkish around the area. Parking is limited outside the restaurant but theres plenty of spaces nearby with a short walk.
R. P.
Excellent service , great food, busy but great atmosphere, will definetly go again
V. *.
Turkish Red wine actually really nice! Great family bundles with meat mains and starters
S. K. M.
Beautiful place ,very good service ,taste is 9 /10 overall very good experience
L. M.
Staff are quick with seating you and giving you something to eat before ur ready to order.
M. G.
Great turkish all meals are full of flavour, very tasty food and you get to take away your leftovers.
B. O. O.
Food was 100% perfect! The price was good for the food. However, the problem I had with them is that they are very slow in their service and in some cases they tend to forget that you made an order. We waited for over 45 minutes before they brought our order. Though I understand that they were extremely busy at that time cause it was on a Saturday evening at peak time.
S. W.
Nice , clean , very busy in weekends not great customer service due to crowds and the occasions at the same time. Some staff have attitude maybe because of the work pressure
M. A.
Great food, nice pleasant place to eat with family or friends. Service was quick and friendly, can't fault it. Wish there was more parking at the restaurant but there's plenty around if you don't mind a little walk.
S.
Great food. I usually order the chicken wings and they never disappoint. Crispy and full of flavour. Best Turkish ready air ant I have eaten at without a doubt. However it is very pricey. This dish costs around £15.50 which is very expensive.
H. S.
Food and ambience was amazing. Our waiter was the best. He checked on us, even though the restaurant was busy. I would definitely go back and recommend to others. Well done keep it up. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽it made my God daughter's birthday 🍰 worthwhile.
C. M.
PERFECT ❤
Food is perfect, I'm not eating lamb absolutely, but in this restaurant lamb is perfect, grill fish was amazing.
Definitely will come.back and recommend 100%
S. H.
Delicious food and amazing service like always!! Make sure you come hungry!!! 😁
H. K.
Food/dessert/tea good, little on the cold side. Service could do with improvements.
R. F.
Food was average but cold (Iskender kebab), I do not recommend chicken soup, falafel was average. Service was good. Atmosphere is nice and modern. Staff very friendly.
M. S.
Me and my family are big fans of Gokyuzu! Great food, great service, great ambience! We usually go to their Harringay location but this time decided to visit this branch. We were served by a very friendly server named Art who was super helpful and catering to our every needs! Thank you Art for providing such a great service! Will always recommend this place!
M. R.
Very nice restaurant. Food is good and staff were very friendly and helpful.
The only negative I have is the music can be a bit loud inside making it a bit
difficult to hear each other.
Make sure to book, gets very busy
M.
Soup very nice, extra bread and salad on the table. Hard to find parking.
2.
Very nice grilled meats, chicken wings were a bit too salty to the point of no return hence the not 5 star.

Nice food, lots of it. Very busy - attentive staff

Great service. We had a lovely birthday celebration there. Food was gorgeous. Loved our server

Portions smaller than other places but lovely food 😋

Food and service are fantastic, but getting parking was a bit difficult.

Great food and service. One of very few good Turkish restaurants in London.
S. L.
Really nice Turkish food. Absolutely love the roast meat and the rice. You also get free bread, salad and Turkish tea.
S. M. K.
Staff was friendly, food was bit on higher side but considering the location and restaurant vibe does make it manageable.
Z. S.
Second branch I’ve been to and never disappointed.
A bit more expensive than your ordinary Turkish place but you get what you pay for. Good service, good seating.
Just keep in mind when this place gets busy, food is much slower to arrive. Ensure you buy a few starters to keep your stomach satisfied.
G. Q.
They really need to work on service. The waitress who greeted me broke off to seat two men who had arrived after me. How rude. No apology offered though and it seems women are second class citizens. Then at the end if our meal they assumed wrong that a child with us would not want a tea. Food was good though.
S. B.
Best xp ever!
Best food i have eaten in a while
S. A.
Always very good
Food is 100% and service was also great.
M. Z.
Great food! And I was stuffed on the starters. Excellent ambience. Great for the family and to bring a client.
K. S.
Nice food and good place to invite your guests to enjoy a day out.
J. I.
Very clean restaurant. Food scrumptious. A1 service.
B. S.
Lovely food, good service and nice staffs
D. F.
Lovely food. Service was a little hit and miss. Felt a little like a large gastro pub though. Green Lanes (I think) is a little more authentic.
E. M.
I love the location of this restaurant. Providing well cooked filling food of which you don't need to go too far into the city to have. Also their off menu Turkish Breakfast is a delight.
A. H.
Delicious food, friendly service. Can truly relax and chat with friends while enjoying a great meal.
A. B.
Fantastic food! Would definitely recommend this restaurant but make sure you book
H. T.
Friendly staff, tasty food. Large group so had the sharing platters. Meze were tasty. Long table not ideal for large groups. Plenty of food to share.
N. E.
Beautiful interior decor. Designed and built by a friend of mine, I might add 😂 Seriously though, the food is great and the service is impeccable. Shout out to the staff doing a great job in one of the most labour intensive professions in the world.
N. G.
I really liked the lentil soup, bread and its yogurt, the rest is not really a Turkish quality
J. Y.
Got served by Art today for my birthday! Top service and very friendly. He recommended the lamb ribs which was really good. Nice new experience.

Fantastic food and staff were lovely...excellent...will definitely go to Gokyuzu again!!!

The best place to go for turkish food everything fresh 10/10 try out let me know what you guys think best by farrrrrrrr! 😋
B. H.
Huge selection of traditional Turkish dishes including your usual salads, starters, grilss, fish and platters to share and desserts. Food is always well prepared and presented and portions are generous. Location is easy to get to and plenty of parking (except when it gets really busy, then it's difficult to find any parking nearby). Venue is huge, two floors, very well maintained and clean and decor is modern.
R. P.
Great as always, service is good, can't fault the food.
j. m.
Delicious food, great service and very attentive staff👌🏻
O. S.
Very good food and excellent service makes for an enjoyable experience. Keep up the good work.
A. S.
Love this place, my favourite Turkish restaurant I go here often
S.
Great quality Turkish food, good service.
C. M.
Amazing Restaurant service excellent
5 star and more, everyone please visit 🙂
C. C. I.
The food was great, the waiting staff were all incredibly friendly and attentive, and the basket of bread was heavenly as usual. To top it off, they had the best chocolate cake I've ever had at a Turkish restaurant. I will definitely be going again.
T. A.
The food and service is excellent. The only issue is parking outside the restaurant.
B.
Lamb shish was overcooked so it was hard to chew. They dont have their own carpark which means disabled people have to walk from the main carpark to the restaurant, restaurant needs to have their own carpark to make it easier for the less able to walk. Food was also overpriced and the portions were small.
S. P. S. G. J.
Great Turkish food, very well seasoned, slightly small portions hence the four stars tbh, not the biggest of portion sizes, but the taste of the food is nice. Service was good, had to ask for the bill 3 times but other than that great tasting food, definitely worth trying.
J. T.
One of the best restaurants in town. You have to try the ribs they are amazing!
M. S.
Nice environment. Good food. Nice decor. Good service. Nice compliments
R. A.
When I went here, the standards of Turkish cuisine does not compare anyone else. Food was 10/10
E. E.
Nice and spacious location, there is parking as well.Food quality was great but not the best. However you can enjoy a good meal in the restaurant. Like it .
T. A.
Great Turkish food.
The restaurant is really well decorated and has a very high class vibe to it.
The staff are very attentive and on hand for refills and extra orders.
The portions are very well sized.
You get the usual Turkish bread as you sit, with tzatziki and salad. And after your meal you get Turkish tea (for free).
If you're in doubt about what to order, I'd highly recommend the Adana Kebab and kanafeh for desserts.
E. W.
Very good food, nice interior design, very large restaurant
C. G.
Amazing food and service!
Highly recommended.
C. H.
Very good Turkish food
Buzzing and very busy on two floors
m. k.
The food was great! The meat, the right everything cooked perfectly. You must try Lamb beyati! Only criticism is that the mocktails seem way over priced.
N. S.
Excellent food. Friendly staff and service. Has become a regular go to for a good evening.
A. M.
It was okay, nothing special. They cpuldwork on their plating as it looks very average for the price you play. Staff were amazing!
f. C.
Food is nice. Place is very busy. Jumbo platter is a real treat ideal for 4, 5 people.
Y. R.
Amazing food and atmosphere, loses some points for service (8/10) - found myself asking for things a few times but, in all fairness, it was very busy. Managed to be seated pretty quickly despite being a little late for my reservation and food arrived promptly. Highly recommended.
A. M. T.
Same delicious food but - newly built, more spacious and free parking! Which is great - we come from Middlesex and love this restaurant! We never complain about the distance because the food and excellent customer service satisfies our hungry bellies 😅 But thank goodness this one is closer 🙈
A. S.
5 stars for all staff and food ,
polite
D. N.
Food was OK although we all found the lamb rather tough. Not a place I would rush back to. Plenty of smaller Turkish restaurants with better quality food.
K. M.
Finally managed to have dinner with a friend here and we're not disappointed. We couldn't believe how busy it was and yet their exceptional high standards were not disrupted. Truly amazing service from our waiter and food was superb. Couldn't be more impressed. The restaurant itself is really well put together and decor and design is lovely.
E. U.
I love Gokyuzu and have frequented the Haringey brach for years. This time I was passing by the Finchley brach and wanted to give it a go. The meat is always great quality, but seemed a bit pricy for the portion size of mixed grill. Lahmacun could have had more ingredients, wasn't impressed. I also tried sutlac but was very disappointed by it.
J. C.
Had a BIRTHDAY celebration for three friends, food and service great. Spacious resturant🙌😊😻👌💥🔥❤♥💙🥰
T. T.
Amazing fresh food, with super fast and kind service; great value for money.
We got a platter and salad for £50, for 4 people, and we left 1/3 of the platter to take back home.
Rice and barley on the bottom of the platter, grilled meats on top, couple of spicy peppers.
Great location as well, looking forward for next visit so that we’ll try the desserts as well. Totally family friendly as well.
d. g.
Large seating, good range of food.... Can get busy and parking a bit of a mess
S. F.
A tad pricey but food and staff are great
A. Y.
Good food and good scenery, best with good people too
R. J.
Great authentic Turkish food very high quality and service was very good just remember to say not much salt when you order
A. R.
It's a nice restaurant with lovely food and good service but it is way too crowded during this pandemic. I have also noticed that the personal are not disinfecting the tables after each group of clients, they only wipe them clean (I actually looked and it was the same every time someone left the table). I will avoid eating in until things are getting better.
A. B.
Very busy place. Nice kebabs, good service. They were bit understaffed!
D. H.
A favourite. Good food and friendly staff. Great portions too!
E. A.
Amazing atmosphere and delicious food. We ordered 3 jumbo platters for 19 of us and there was so much food left over that we each took some home too. I'd definitely recommend it for a nice meal out. Great for everybody.
S. D.
Lovely meal, high price range but good night
K. K.
Yummy scrumptious food😋, polite service and as a bonus lovely smelling hand sanitiser.
S. D.
Great food nice place parking a bit tight
N. K.
Overpriced, small portions. Flavours and atmosphere was good
J. B.
This place was awesome!! Great quick service. Polite attentive staff. Food was delicious.
S. H.
Nice delicious Turkish food with affordable price.. Nice relaxing environment with good customer service
A. M.
Having eaten here recently and really enjoyed the experience we were looking forward to going again with another couple.
Not so good this time. The service was unprofessional with with waiters spilling drinks and dropping glasses 3 times. The food was nice but they forgot a dish which was brought quickly when reminded. The noise level (music) was ridiculous and made conversation virtually impossible. We were made to feel very rushed which to an extent is understandable but this was uncomfortable with a waiter literally taking my starter plate from me while I was still eating.. This was actually amusing at first but really poor if I think about it.
Anyway, we left the premises dissatisfied.
A. D.
Excellent service, great food, but a bit too loud
S. A.
One of the best Turkish Restaurants in London, very spacious, comfortable and nice friendly environment. Authentic Turkish dishes, would most definitely recommend. I've been there many times and would go again.
J. R.
First visit for me to Gokyuzu yesterday evening and I was not to be disappointed. A warm welcome upon arrival followed by great service with some of the tastiest Turkish cuisine I have ever tasted. A very popular venue with not an empty seat in the house, now why doesn’t that surprise me? Well done Gokyuzu, I’ll be back.
G. G.
Great restaurant and easily better than any of the "pretenders" in the area. This is authentic Turkish food done right.
I highly recommend this restaurant. Keep up the great work Gokyuzu and see you soon.
Update 10/01/21: Still really excellent.
V. B.
We only had a delivery from this restaurant due to COVID, but we plan visiting in person once it becomes possible. Food is delicious and it's quality is perfect and even presentation is great! We had mezze and kebabs. Meat was cooked to perfection, juicy, tender and flavoursome. My only request is to improve thermal isolation of the food delivered.
u. q.
Excellent food and service would visit again
R. H.
First dine out restaurant coming out of lock down and boy were we in for a treat! The Greek salad was fresh, mixed shish kebab was juicy and full of flavour and we finished off with the amazing Turkish tea. Staff were very nice and helpful and the seating plan follows the social distancing requirements. We will be back again.
T. M.
Been to so many different turkish restaurants over the years and go very regularly but this please us easily the best out of the lot! The quality meat I’ve had.
The place has been fitted out in a really classy way too. Not overpriced at all. Would recommend to anyone for any occasion.
S. K.
Awesome place, staff are fantastic and food is delicious!
J. B.
I know nothing about Turkish food, but it sure tastes great with all that yoghurt and lamb and bread and stuff! Great!
A. S.
Ordered same thing 2 times about 2 weeks apart. Consistency and size varied. Less salad last time, and large mixed meze were smaller portions. Virtually no tomatoes in salads.
T. F.
Great Turkish food in relaxed surroundings.
T. H.
Recently discovered. Good food at a reasonable price with friendly service. We even ate outside when the weather was good.
T.
Very good food, first time here and pretty impressed, good decoration and food even better plated, has the salmon partner had the adana kebab, really nice and full of flavour. Sides are nice and good portions, prices slightly high compared to other competitors but still worth a visit.
M.
The food here is delicious so good. They bring you a salad to start with its complementary which is so amazing. I would definitely recommend Gokyuzu, although it was extremely loud inside the restaurants lots of people shouting and the music was turned up so high I couldn't hear my family and had to leave start after finishing our food. But the food is delicious wish the atmosphere was more calm.
s. p.
Food was good as always. They lacked service. They were in a rush to kick us out! I understand they were closing but turning the lights on while we are eating so we leave is a bit over the top. If we had finished eating and just talking I can understand. The welcome was not welcoming. I don't know I didn't enjoy the environment.
K.
Favourite Turkish Restaurant in London!!!
Love this place and go there quite regularly because the food is always 👌🏼
The staff are also good in terms of service, however they do get a tad busy so can forget simple requests like ice, but that’s minor in my opinion.
The food is also portioned on the larger side and you really do get your money’s worth, I have rarely finished my main course because of the size 😫
The price of the dishes is also reasonable, as I normally pay around £13-£20 per person, depending on how many starters we decide to order.
The restaurant also takes bookings, but should you not have one they are normally very quick at seating you,
They also have a lot of parking in from of the restaurant and on the other side of the road where the cinema and Pizza Hut are,
I also like how they have an area to pray :)
O. B.
Amazing. Fast, huge, cheap, authentic, friendly and astoundingly good. Can't recommend it highly enough.
R. S.
Delicious food. Amazing service. Definitely 5 star. Will visit again.

Turkish restaurant. Really good food.
Good menu but we got the jumbo platter times two.
Our bill came too £175 for 7 adults and 4 kids.
Good food but over priced which is why i gave 4 starts. Overall experience was very good.
A. R.
Very expensive restaurant, £3 for a small bottle of coke
I. M. A.
Good eating experience but a bit on the expensive side. Portions could be bigger.
Loved the complementary mint tea in the end.

The mixed meze with full platter was very good, delicious, satisfying & the portions were generous. Very good takeaway service. One of the best Turkish restaurants in London to dining in.

Food-exceptional
Service-exceptional
Turkish wine also very nice.
These days its hard to find a place with good food AND service on a friday night, but Gokyuzu was one of the best we have experienced.
We had 9 people for an 8 seater table and the waiter went out of his way to fit us all in. 😊
Very large portions.
S. U. A.
Little gem of a place.
Decor is superb with excellent amenities and car parking.
Dinner after excellent staff team building event for relaxation.
Starter of fresh kalamari was simply delicious.
Main course of ribs with rice was delicious and very filling
No space left for desert.
Service was excellent and prompt

Beautiful decor and service, complimentary bread was a very nice touch, only downside was there seemed to be an excess amount of salt on the meat and rice - we ordered the large platter

Very good place for family dinner . Lovely evening spend with the family everyone enjoyed the food .👌🥳😘

Had the Jumbo Platter and Lahmacun. Amazing. The lamb ribs are amazing. The portion size of the Jumbo Platter is enough to feed a family of 6! Myself, my parents and a friend could not finish the platter! They also serve complimentary bread, salad and tea which is a lovely touch. Would 100% recommend!

The best Turkish restaurant in London! The smell and the taste of all of the food, including the hospitality, i.e. the free bread and salad brought me back to when I went to Istanbul. The platters are the ones to go for, very generous portion sizes and full of flavour. The restaurant itself very clean and huge!

Had a baby shower with a group of 13. The food and decor was amazing. However the service was terrible! We had to ask for plates, water, napkins, even the cake we brought ourselves multiple times. The toilets were unclean, smelled and very hot. The staff were making comments about us in Turkish, and a member of our group understood enough to know it wasn't pleasant. It's such as shame as I've been to all the other locations and have had an amazing experience. Won't be going back to this location again.

Brilliant food. Beautiful decor and the staff are great too

Went out with the family for a meal before the England Euro final match. It's a great place for families, children friendly.
S. R.
Nice food good service will go again, oh and there is parking which made it even better.

Honestly the best food and the best service. We had a lovely lady on the top floor managing the middle tables in a white shirt, shortish blonde hair in a ponytail. Very attentive. Very friendly. Thank you so much.

I eat two times not too happy with the quality of the meat as the other branches

It's a difficult choice. I may have given four stars, but it was very loud and noisy. It made us feel uncomfortable and so we left earlier than we would have otherwise.
The food is actually really good and the service was very friendly. All the servers were very polite and helpful. Only the captain, he took my drink order and I had to re-order the drinks later because he never ordered them for us.

Best Turkish restaurant in UK easily. 10/10

As always great Turkish food, never disappoints.

Great place. Even though we did nit prebook on a saturday night the wait was only about 20min. Food was delicious really tasty so would definitely recommend. Service was quick and all servers were freindly.
M. C.
Super good service wonderful staff. If you like Turkish food and kebabs, you're in for a treat. Tasty food.
If going in a group or weekend, be safe and book tables as they can get really busy and when busy, food may take longer than usual.but, the complimentary cacık, pitta bread and salad to keep you going.

Huge food portions, value for money, always clean, great service. Kids are welcome, family vibe. For this kind of restaurant (family vibe plus good ingredients cooked simply food) it's first class
E. A.
Very nice food specially the kebabs.
Y. M.
Very friendly staff and delicious food. It is a bit pricy but it is nice.

Great food but very busy.

Nice quality food but a bit expensive for what you pay.

Absolutely delicious best shawarma I've had in the UK so far, I forgot to take a picture because it was so yummy.

Good place to visit and eat, service is great too, food was nice but slightly fresh, nice environment, nice atmosphere and free parking

FOOD IS AMAZING
service was terrible, couldn’t get hold of them, or they ignore u

Located near the cinema but not near any tube stations. Bus stop right in front. Plenty of parking nearby. A large multi floor restaurant. Had the chicken and lamb donner. Both lovely. Free bread and Turkish tea. £24 with a beer. Covid measures were in place (hand sanitizer, one way system). Recommended for a good local middle eastern meal. Will revisit.

The new restaurant is big and spacy. Good setting and big windows for light and views. Food and customer service was spot on, well worth a visit. Bit steep on prices on platters.
S. A.
The taste of the food was quite nice, but could of been better for the price tag even with the help out eat out it was very expensive.Service was quite good. There was also no parking outside as it was packed with a cramped car park. We had to stand in cold for an hour and half. The place is halal but does serve alcohol.
A. A.
Loved the food. Good prices. Awesome dining experience. Highly recommended.

5 stars as usual. Peerless. Will go again.

Great food, great service, lovely atmosphere and very reasonable. Will definitely go back again.

Great Turkish cuisine. Food was Very very tasty and service was absolutely brilliant.
One of my favourite places in London.
Many thanks Gokyuzu for creating a lovely memory.

Came at this place as from a random list to try, thought of trying out here on a eid fasting period at 9pm with walk-in instead of booking in advance. Found out the restaurant has quite a lot f seating plans and spaces for all sorts of occasions with a flooring plan and outdoor seating as well for those who prefer that.
Got a seating appropriate for our group of 5 once we entered the restaurant. Once seated was immediately asked if any of us was fasting and was then served date seeds and naan bread with sauce. ✔️ ✔️
Server Zeynep was looking after us, along with a few others for drinks. But great service was received from her.
Foodwise we ordered a Junbo/mezze platter £75 and shared between 5 was great, with leftovers.
However 4 stars given due to the lamb chop meat being very chewy.
imOther than that everything was great, a bit pricey but i think it's a great place if u want to have a nice turkish dinner.
Would probably come back in a few months to try different dishes.

Very good service and excellent food.

Best Turkish restaurant ever visited. Very professional and kind service, delicious food. Very specious, two floor halls, so suits for big groups as well.
T. F.
It a large family restaurant specialising in grilled meat / kebabs and Life. There are plenty of other Turkish dishes too. The best attributes of this restaurant is ready food, a family friendly atmosphere and exceptional value. It one of the best places to eat in the location if you are looking for something eat before or after a movie.
M. B.
Food was great service was great will definitely be coming back.

I don't regret going there. Great service, good tasty generous food. Ambiance was great and looking around you can see everyone happy to be there. I will go back again and again. Don't hesitate try it out and you won't regret it

the food is so nice whether it's breakfast or dinner
A.
Great restaurant venue with a nice modern decor. The service was good in all fairness but the food is avarage at best and over priced considering the equality of the meat. The lamb doner was extremely chewy, chicken shish was avarage quality chicken and the Adana just ok. For such a great venue and all i have heard i expected the food quality to be a lot better food. And with all due respect to people giving this place a 5 star, you dont know what your talking about when it comes to good quality turkish food and in particular good quality meat.
R. M.
Best turkish food with a luxury ambience.
A. G.
The food good but a bit more expensive than other Turkish restaurants. Also waitress doesn’t bring my change plus charge me service charge
T. G.
This has to be the finest Turkish restaurant in London. The food was simply delicious and the service was excellent. Great location with ample parking space. Can't wait to come back. It was a wonderful experience.
J. K.
Excellent service. Thoughtful touches such as complementary tzatziki immediately brought to the table when you sit down and tea at the end of the meal. Lovely tender lamb shish (however, slightly too salty for my taste). Yakut turkish wine was delicious also. Great experience

Very good Turkish food indeed

Nice place, Halal food served. Very quick service , exceptionally fast order to table.
Very busy, really need to book ahead. Very expensive platter at £65.
6 diners £215...and soft drinks/Water bottle only......very experience .
H. C.
Lovely food and fast service. Great setting as well. Little bit on the pricey side but definitely worth a visit. Also kunefe (cheese tart) was on point. Would go again.

Absolutely fantastic food and friendly atmosphere. Very clean facilities and all staff were polite and attentive even though it was fairly busy. Great place for a family meal or something.
A. W.
Maybe because we went in On a lunch time. The service was top notch and the food was simply excellent. I could understand a reviewer saying the food was a little bland, but the supplied table sauces meant you could flavour up to your exact taste.
T. M.
Food amazing service EVEN better. This place is a really nice establishment with the owner ensure customers enjoy their visit to the most. The inside looks beautiful, and the staff are always dressed nice and clean. Food was brilliant, try the lamb Beyti you will not be disappointment. Think Omar was the gentleman that sat us down, he was very very helpful. Thank you guys, keep up the great work

Not the best Turkish food, but it's ok and a bit pricey.

At least once a week. Me and the family come here for a spectacular Turkish feast. We used to go to the one in Chingford but this on in Finchley is even better! Lambs ribs and lentil soup a must. Enjoy!
K. A.
A fantastic place for a dinner. Very stylish and has a character. 2 levels, glass walls, nice view in the evening. Food is fabulous and a bit pricy is justified. I recommended for large families and group of people.
Parking is available and free, right outside but limited. However there is a nearby shopping arena where you can park also for free.
D. Y.
Great atmosphere, fantastic staff. Food is really good not the best but really good. Also great value!!

Great restaurant, friendly and with wonderful food. I can't recommend it highly enough.
R. G.
The place is amazing, staff great and the food delicious had to come back twice and each time the food didnt disappoint. Lovely atmosphere and reasonable prices (Turkish food)
M. o.
Excellent service, the food was great, very clean and spacious with free parking, it's worth trying the place.
I. D.
Decoration is nice but not overstated. Menu consists of typical Turkish food and does not offer anything different
What is offered comes in generous portions and very good quality. The red house wine goes well with the asortment of kebabs they serve. Service is good, parking is aplenty . The Turkish music blasting over the speakers is a bit annoying as it blends into ambient noise and simply becomes noise rather music.
All in all a very nice Restaurent offering good value and ambience.
R. S.
I love the food at Gokyuzu but the management is poor - it is understaffed, so staff are almost running 24/7. As a customer you can feel the chaotic energy which can ruin the ambience and experience overall.
R. U.
Very clean place and shows well managed resturant. Good parking. Friendly staff. Food cooked very well and nice presentation. Highly recommend! Keep up the excellent standards.
A. E.

Food is always fresh and top quality. Never been dissappointed. You should try the mixed platters, expensive but super good.
