Reviews of Hawksmoor Knightsbridge
L. K.
At least this restaurant justifies all the hype. The steaks are good and the rest are all quite standard.
We ordered the tomahawk steak. The grill garlic scallops are very tasty. Service is pretty standard. No one pull our wine on the table throughout dinner. Everything is good enough but nothing special and no wow factor. Good enough to earn a 5 star.
Food 8/10, service 7/10, ambience 7/10, value for money 7/10.
M. Q.
Wow, I love Hawksmoor. Been going to various Hawksmoor restaurants since about 2014. Piccadilly, The City, Borough, all are fantastic.
Knightsbridge does not disappoint. Food cooked to perfection, great recommendations by the waiters, impeccable service and exquisite drinks. I literally cannot stop gushing about this place as it puts other steak houses in London to shame. Pictured is: Chateaubriand (cooked blue), triple cooked chips, an Old Fashioned and the creamed spinach which I could not wait to eat as you can see!
Not to be missed.

Hawksmoor is basically the best steak in terms of quality and value for money, In London, this Knightsbridge branch is just as great as any other. From being greeted at the entrance and throughout as you are taken to your table, the staff here are exceptional. Our main waiter Daniel was amazing and really made our evening of dining into an experience. The layout is cosy and well thought out, all the servers are so attentive and professional and know their stuff. Had an amazing time and ate delicious food yet again. Can not recommend this place enough!
A. C.
Best sticky toffee pudding I have ever tried, the bramley apple pie with vanilla custard was also really good. The place was casual and fancy at the same time. The service was very good. Would recommend.
K. S.
The Chateaubriand and the Porterhouse were meaty, tender and cooked to perfection. In fact, every single dish was nice and tasty. Hawksmoor is, without a shadow of a doubt, my favourite steakhouse in London! 👍👍👍
F. W.
I've been to other Hawksmoor branches before but this has been my favorite so far.
Food was impeccable (with the only non-amazing dish being the sourdough which could be better). The steak was cooked as requested and very tender.
Even better than the steak was the sticky toffee pudding which I cannot recommend enough. We ended up ordering it twice.
Service was also very prompt and friendly, shout out to Alex.
S. A.
Excellent food. Enticing menu with a great bar offering. The setting is great for dinner or work meal. We had the filet to share and it was great. Potatoes were great and the asparagus was delicious. Check out this place if you’re wanting a good place for steak!

We went for my boyfriend’s 21st birthday. I can’t recommend it enough. The waiters make you feel so looked after, outstanding service. We had the steak and a burger followed by a sticky toffee pudding which were all amazing! 10/10
R. P.
Food was really really good. Ordered alot of items on the menu including the oysters and lobster. Everything including the steaks was 10/10.
C. M.
Went to the Hawksmoor on Sunday and had the roast. It was absolutely delicious, the rump was cooked perfectly and there was more than I could eat!
The staff are very attentive and friendly, clearly both professional and passionate.
The interior was beautiful, reminding me of a speakeasy
M. G.
Great, pork belly starter was to die for. Steak slightly overcooked but still delicious.
Nice little bday treat for my mum
R. L.
The Sunday dinner was perfect, I recommend the side of cauliflower cheese as it compliments the dinner. Drinks are good too. Will be going back!
A. U.
Good but not great. The butter that came with the starter wasn't warm, so was difficult to spread on the type of bread served. The cuts of meat for steaks were good, but not great. I've been to other restaurants where the cut of meat has been larger, sliced better and was more affordable. Tasted like a steak fried on a pan, lacked flavour.
L. L.
Excellent steak and delightful service. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone.

My favourite Hawksmoor restaurant and go to for Steak. I like the relax / casual eating experience and surroundings.
The food, wine and service quality is top class. Amazing food.
Pricey but you pay for what you get in this world.
Wish l could go more frequently.......*5.
J. G.
The lunch 3 course menu for only 23 quid was an absolute dream. Great food. Great service.
T. G.
Incredible food! As good ambience as the other Hawksmoor’s! Lovely drinks, go for the double melon!!
C. W.
950g bone in Prime Rib! Cooked to perfection and paired with a beautiful Shiraz. 1 of the best steaks I've had in the UK
J. T.
Service is impeccable with attentive and very friendly staff. Scallops were a delicious starter and sides (chips, Mac n cheese and creamed spinach) cooked to perfection. Chateaubriand steak was a little disappointing - tough to chew and had been a little too burnt on the outside. Would give dessert a miss next time too except fo the sticky toffee sundae which was amazing! Tad on the overpriced side for what we got in quality vs price but would return again (perhaps to a different location) to give it another go.
J. F.
Food was fantastic, atmosphere was relaxing, service was great. We’ll definitely return again for a truly tasty roast dinner.
P. M.
Had a good evening but also some minor hickups.
Staff was attentive but got the order wrong. When food arrived they managed to swope my steak which was wrong like in three minutes. However it ended up to be rare instead of medium. Due to the whole confusion on the table wines were also forgotten but arrived late.
This place simply showed what happens if you are dealing with a process orientated approach, things can get a bit out of control.
As mentioned at the beginning, had a good evening but don´t feel like there is a need to return.
N. N.
A very atmospheric restaurant with great service and good food.
We came here to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. The table was booked in advance to make sure we had a spot.
We really liked the decor and the service was very good.
I ordered well-done Rump steak with mashed potatoes. My wife ordered Carpaccio and veggies on the side.
The stake was ok, but not great - way too salty, a bit dry on the outside and a bit undercooked inside. Definitely needed a sause to compensate for dryness.
Mashed potatoes were good, Carpaccio was delicious.
I went for a glass is 2019 Malbec. It was Okay, but not the best I've ever had (it was one of the most expensive Malbecs thought).
To finish, we too The Ambassador desert to share. The desert was very pleasant and we both enjoyed it.
In general we enjoyed our visit there. Lovely decor, very good service and good food. A nice place for a date or a small celebration. The whole experience cost us £95, so very sensible price.
I would've preferred to pay more for a better steak... Maybe I should've gone for a pricier option 🤔
H. A.
Very nice restaurant. Professional service, and lovely food. Had the fillet which was perfectly cooked to my medium request. Vegetable side choices are somewhat limited unless you like potatoes. The wine list ia great the the sommelier was very knowledgeable and informative. Nice spot for business dinner.
A. D.
Marco the sommelier was great. We brought our own wines, and one was corked. Marco was super accommodating, 5* all round!
F. F.
2nd time eating here and it was even better than the first. Even though there were a couple of hiccups with our orders, these were rectified quickly and efficiently. Service and food was exceptional. Looking forward to visit again.
N. S.
Amazing service with friendly and helpful waiters and the food was delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection and all of the sides we ordered were fantastic. Great experience all around!
N. K.
It is always a great experience at Hawksmoor...
Just one comment, I personally did not like the lychee , coconut based cocktail. The rest was awesome.
G. V. H.
We met with friends at this spot for a meeting. we heard about this spot from a lot of people. Well, we were not disappointed. The crew welcomed us with a smile and we felt fantastic. The food was just great. We loved this spot a lot and we will visit this place again. Keep it up.
A. P.
Nice experience of a Sunday roast! Tasty, pink and really filling! :)
Being not a fan of underground restaurants, that would be the only disadvantage. Nevertheless, great interior atmosphere which was obviously well taken care of!
The staff was great!
For extra hydration do not miss ordering the ginger & mint swirl (hope to remember the name right!) - request it with less ice than normally served! it is amazing!
l.
We popped here for a "date night" dinner. Great place and atmosphere. Earlier in the night expect more of a family vibe, later on is when the couples begin to arrive. Service is as expected: top notch. Steaks were good, but will have to shy away from 5* as the steak was cooked unevenly: 1/2 of it seemed medium while 1/2 seemed rare - I'd expect evenly cooked from a place like this.
For the sides The triple cooked chips were not cooked property: some were perfect but some were still raw. The creamed spinach was perfect, though.
Drinks were again good, and I am a fan of the 1 big ice cube - it melts slower (few places do this). The Manhattan probably needs a little refinement but the Old Fashioned was up with the best.
For the location/price/hype I have to say I'd expect just a tad better.
I. M.
Beautiful basement restaurant situated in knightsbridge. Reception is a retro hatcheck area where we were greeted by a very friendly hostess. The room is long and sleek: lots of brown leather and a central banquette the length of the room, with attractive hanging lamps throughout.
All the food coming out of the kitchen looked wonderful...we ordered the Sunday roast beef, which was perfect from the beef to veggies. Every component of the meal was delicious and the roasties get special mention! I've been working on/looking for the perfect ones for years and think these win.
The portions are on the large size, service great and prices are fair. I would highly recommend this location and can't wait to go back.
L. H.
Our waiter Phillipe was absolutely fantastic. Food here is great. Lovely oysters. Steak is great, but every time I have had it there has been too much salt on it so I wouldn't order steak again. Cocktails are lovely. Recommend but maybe ask them to reduce the amount of salt they add to your steak.
S. T.
My experience at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was fantastic. Here we had the most delicious steak in London. We ordered a medium rare fillet, a medium rare sirloin and a medium sirloin to share. The beef was very good cooked at the good level that we ordered. So tasty and juicy. Beautiful dry aged flavoured. Highly recommend and I will come back again for Sunday special menu!!
N.
Hawksmoor offers an exceptional dining experience. I visited on my own for lunch and was warmly greeted by the host and shown to my table. The service was super attentive and friendly. I ordered a cocktail to start which was really refreshing. I started with the scallops; incredibly fresh, light and seasoned perfectly. The start of the meal was the fillet, cooked medium rare served with peppercorn sauce and triple cooked chips, deliciously tender and flavoursome.
The venue is relaxed with a nice vibe, great for solo visitors or groups!
A. M.
Great Spot for a Date with Sunday Roast, definatelly need to book a table in advance to avoid disapointment as the restaurant gets quite busy.
Staff is super friendly, i like the fact that they don’t wear unfiform, but simply a shirt of their own choice, it just makes everything feel less formal. And that’s what i think Sunday Roast should be all about... relaxed, lazy meaty lunch, curing possible hangover and other sins of a day before.
Off to the roast... meat was juicy and pink, potatoes crunchy and hot, my favourote was the gracy and roast garlic bulb, yum!
Although I would replace cabbage with another veggie... litterally, any other veggie!
R. B.
If I could give 10 stars I would, 5 of those stars would go to Taylor - an amazing, classy, fast and enthusiastic manager with 10/10 customer service. If you want to make sure your visit is 10 stars worthy, ask for Taylor. I will be returning - solely because of Taylor (and the delicious food of course) 🥂
The food, drinks and desert was also amazing. Taylor made the whole birthday experience 10000% better!
Thank you!

Wow.
The latest London site from team Hawksmoor does not disappoint.
An awesome 1920s art devo interior, stunning service, expansive wine list and masterfully mixed cocktails.
Every single items was stunning. Get it all. The potted Beef & Yorkshires where particularly good.
Go or miss out.
M. T.
Very crowded restaurant with steak as the most popular dish here. We ordered 1.5 kg. Tomahawk steak and cooking was right with our order (medium rare). However, the steak is of good quality but not outstanding than what we used to have. Maybe we may have very high expectation as we’ve been told this is the best place for steak in London. Service is good and wine list is excellent here.
H. Y.
Phenomenal steak dinner at Hawksmoor. As an American, I have high standards for steak and this place blew me away. The service and food was incredibly high standard; they made the meal feel like an experience. They also recognized our anniversary with a special dessert. Overall one of the best meals I've ever had in London. Highly recommend.
J. S.
The famous Sunday roast. Then Hawksmoor is the place to be. Have visited several Hawksmoor restaurants in London and all serve this great British tradition. Go there and enjoy the food. Good to know is that they also serve great cocktails at the separate bar.
Z. G.
I don't eat meat and so one might wonder why I visited a restaurant notorious for its steak. But damn was I glad I did.
The baked scallops are incredible! You must try these. I have never had scalloped prepared in this way and it was just so tasty.
The Monkfish main dish was delicious. Beautifully cooked, and when teamed up with the creamy spinach a very tasty meal. My partner enjoyed the Hake and fennel main dish.
A. R.
We had a Fantastic evening meal here (25-10-21). All the staff were very Friendly and Helpful.
The food was Superb and Great Value.
Thank You
I. K.
Absolutely love this place! The steak was cooked beautifully and the Vietnamese flavoured oysters as a starter were delicious. Would highly recommend.
W. H.
Top quality steak in a top quality restaurant. Bar has a great spirit selection, staff were friendly and attentive and food was incredible. You get what you pay for - not a place to dine out on a budget.
A. H.
Fantastic food and cocktails...the prime rib is fantastic along with the grilled bone marrow. Great cocktail and wine options.
t. c.
This was my 2nd visit and more disappointing. They didn't have the fried oyster which we looked forward to, the lobster overcooked and a change in the menus in regards to variety of vegetables for sides. However the Chateaubriand steak was perfect , Succulent and tender, mussels cooke to perfection!
J. B.
Had a birthday dinner with my wife, she had the ribeye, which was sliced as she wanted it well down. I had the chateaubriand, medium both were wonderful, the staff were helpful, efficient and happy to offer assistance. Very very good
A. A.
I've been to a fair few steak places. This has perfectly cooked steak. Im saying perfect, throughout a long meal, my ribeye never changed consistency, it remained soft throughout. Every slice had the same colour grading, a perfect medium. Well rested, no leaky juices when served alone on a white plate (again perfect cooked sides served seperate). Real good, attentive and friendly staff, deserve their tips and more. Great atmosphere, little on noisy side, but thats quite ok.
a.
Good food, kind of loud so not recommended for anything intimate. Lobster roll was not worth the £27. Maybe I'm too used to American lobster rolls? Steak was good, so was dessert
A. C.
Wow wow wow! We arrived to England yesterday and I knew we had to try Sunday Roast here. I am so glad we did! Everything was delicious! We also shared the sticky toffee pudding...amazing! I will judge all other sticky toffee puddings to this one. The space itself was pretty and I quickly made an online reservation about an hour before. Definitely come here to try Sunday Roast!
M. S.
We got a last minute reservation through OpenTable but having been before knew what to expect. Service was good, the Shaky Pete's were good and the food was good. All good!
The only gripe I have is that my seat was at the corner of a row of tables and as such left me open to the various knocks and bumps of the servers walking past, plus the odd highchair...
A. T.
Dined here today. We ordered Sirloin and Ribeye, medium rare. Not sure why the outside of the Sirloin was so well-done. The ribeye was good though! £4.50 sprouts were not worth getting as they were so hard. Friendly and attentive service.
A. J.
Overall, a fantastic experience. The simple yet innovative dishes, such as the caviar bubble tea, were fantastic. Several of the dishes were both visually appealing and delectable. The service was excellent.
n.
Great steakhouse offering a wide range of delicious cuts. It also has fish options with classic sides such as salad and chips. I would give 4 stars because it is underground with no outside windows so the atmosphere can be quite dense and noisy when it is busy. But this is compensated by the quality of food and service. So if you don't mind having some good food without any natural light, I would recommend visiting this place.
x. “.
Excellent Food, excellent value. Best Sunday Roast in London hands down.
P. S.
Easily one of the best fillet steaks I have ever had.
Brilliant staff.
Beautiful restaurant.
Highly recommended.
R. W.
Everything was perfect. The steak is unbelievably good but add on top of that delicious sides, great cocktails and super knowledgeable staff you really cannot go wrong!
B.
Just superb, different gravy to other steak houses.
Pricey but steaks second to none, and service was the perfect balance.
We will be back.
A. B.
This is the second Hawksmoor restaurant I have been to in London, the first being in the Borough Market. The food -steaks and seafood with a British flair - is consistently very good, and so is the drinks selection. They have the full menu for both lunch and dinner. Highly recommended
G. F.
Pleasant and great evening at the Hawksmoor, Knightsbridge. It was our first time there and I would definitely recommend and go back. We booked a table of 4 and from start to finish the service was fantastic. The waiting staff knew a lot about the different dishes and recommended wines. Even though it is known as a steak place, they had great fish options too. My friend and I shared a T-Bone steak medium rare along with many sides and bone marrow gravy which was delicious. The only let down was the Monkfish which was a tad dry however it is a steakhouse and that hasn’t put me off one bit! Overall, it was a great experience and would highly recommend!!!
R. K.
Nice steak and nice service. The food quality is good. We were happy for everything here.
M. S.
Great food, great service. Not the best wine list but it’s my own opinion. Very helpful staff. All over worth every single penny, would recommend everyone who loves good food!
C. N.
Lovely night out. Great friendly servers. They were a little bit insistent that I should have my steak medium rare instead of rare despite my preference. It even came out more medium than my friends medium rare but definitely great quality. Sides and drinks are delicious too.
E. J.
Amazing restaurant and the food and hospitality absolutely brilliant.
Had a 50th birthday celebration here last week and a proposal of marriage. The management and staff made this so memorable for me.
Highly recommended
N. S.
Very good quality food. Steak was excellent Went for the set menu for £30 which came with a cocktail. Service was excellent and we even got a free box of chocolates after mentioning it was my dad's birthday when we booked
O. t.
Best food, lovely service. One of the best steak I ever tried. Will come back next London trip. Strongly Recommended!!!!
S. H.
Hawksmoor's reputation proceeded it and I'm glad it lived up to it.
It's amazing that such a substantial restaurant lurks behind an innocuous door to the street, make sure you don't pass it.
The Sunday roast was delicious. The roast beef was perfectly cooked (although you only have a choice of medium/well or rare/ medium rare), it was tender and full of flavour.
It's a nice touch how the gravy is served in individual "jugs", enabling you to add just the right amount for your meat, Yorkshire pudding or vegetables. The horseradish was tasty with the right amount of heat and complemented the beef well.
The staff were attentive, whilst giving our group sufficient time to peruse the menu between extended conversations - it had been a long time since we had caught up. This was appreciated.
Hawksmoor has a set number of servings for the Sunday roast so make sure you don't leave it too late in the day to enjoy it.
S. M.
Amazing experience. Visited with my partner for our anniversary meal and had an experience we will remember for a long time.
Delicious food, great cocktails and some of the friendliest staff I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting in a restaurant.
The team kindly accommodated my request for a dessert with “happy anniversary” written on it which bought a tear of joy to my lady’s eyes.
I would like to extend a special shout out to Lucy, our server, who I understand is fairly new to the Hawksmoor team. She was an absolute breath of fresh air and truly made our evening wonderful. Polite, knowledgable and extremely attentive - a credit to your team.
R. H.
Excellent service and excellent food. It's not cheap, but I do feel you get what you pay for. Many thanks to the chap who helped me fish my ring (oo-er!) out of the sink plug hole in the Gents!
J. C.
Need reservation esp during weekends. Very crowded. Sunday roast was great though a bit on the ex side (£22 without drinks). Roast plate should have less potatoes but replaced with other veg or sides. Suggest filings in the pudding as part of dessert instead of plain pudding.
C. L.
Probably my favorite restaurant in London. For celebrations, special occasions or just a Tuesday evening... Definitely worth it!
O. P.
Nice steak with good variety of side dishes and excellent desert & good services, but a bit expensive.
I. S.
The best steak 🥩. Really tasty cocktails. Definitely go there to eat.
M. R.
Excellent food and friendly service. Set 2 or 3 course meal options very reasonably priced and good value for money. Unfortunately like all restaurants in London the drinks are pricey. Would definitely return though.
R. S.
Fantastic food and drinks in an upmarket atmosphere. The Sunday lunch is 100% worth while in particular.
A. G.
Always good food and drink here, wonderful steak and a cool, chilled out atmosphere
t. b.
Best breakfast I've ever had. A bit costly but worth trying if your in the area.
S. K.
My go-to restaurant for Sunday roast!
I would say Hawksmoor knightbridge is the best branch :) Really enjoyed the meal with an amazing service.
K. B.
Of the six Hawksmoors my husband and I have visited. The atmosphere, service, and of course the food, at the Knightsbridge location were top notch.
N.
Very good steaks with wide selection of different cuts. On the expensive side but you get what you pay for. Would recommend and will visit again
N. A.
Very good tasty meat. They cooked it to perfection (medium rare at my request). Vietnamese oysters are great also. Desserts look amazing. I'd put the price point on the higher end of the scale.
s. M. l. r.
Absolutely amazing steaks, great staff beautiful ambience
Had the most beautiful evening it was my sister birthday and the guy that attended us brought her a plate with happy birthday written on it with candle and 4 chocolate ,how sweet
Definitely would recommend the restaurant will back again very soon
A. S.
Amazing as always!
E. G.
Came to check if Netflix documentary movie "steak revolution" is reliable 🤔. Well....fu**ing YES! Amazing steak, perfectly done with the exact amount of salt and pepper. You dont need more. Perfect!
D. H.
2020 (Pre lockdown 1) the Sunday Roast lunch experience was very good. Which set high hopes for the next meal here.
August 2021 (post lockdown 3) and the Saturday steak dinner experience was poor. Food quality was below average and the service, while friendly, was very slow. Just the food alone was a disappointment and no where near justifies their prices.
C. A.
Amazing food, great service. The best steak I've had!
J. M.
First time to Hawksmoor Knightsbridge, we usually would visit Air Street.
The Sunday Roast Dinner was as lovely as it is at Air Street. The service was also great.
C. L.
Great rib eye steak with delicious sides to go with it. I feel like the sides are a must to pair with the steak - I usually have to get the spinach and mashed potato. The steak was juicy with a delicious sear to it. They do great drinks too. Good and friendly service.
K. S.
Stunning, everything. Service, food, and drinks all very well thought out and executed. Pricey but that's what you get for this kind of experience. X
M. R.
Astonishingly good. Steak was incredible. Bone marrow gravy out of this world. Andras our waiter was first class. Book a table.
a.
Amazing Amazing AMAZING! Can not fault anything about that place, food was delicious but what made the experience was the service, Maria, Lera and the team were delightful! Thanks guys for such a beautiful dinner!I will definitely recommend Hawksmoor to everyone and you will see me back soon❤❤❤❤❤
N. M.
Lovely ambience, steak very good, monk fish star of the show. Excellent service. Artichoke salad underwhelming.
A. F.
I don’t get all the great reviews. Good drinks, decent but not exceptional steaks, nearly pub-like atmosphere. It’s all right, but far from becoming one of my favourites.
S. P.
Amazing food and excellent service. Will definitely be coming back although not very often as it is pricey (but worth it).
Mani was our server and was great in explaining the options to us in regards to food.
J. R.
Food was well down, much like other Hawksmoor restaurants. Service was great, very friendly and helpful. Bartender near the entrance made us some fantastic drinks before our meal. Favourite meal is still at the Hawksmoor near Piccadilly Circus. This Hawksmoor is in a newer slightly more upscale restaurant, whereas the other in a more cosy pub environment. Whether that is what you are looking for or not is up to you.
B.
(July 2,2021) The food was really great!!! Especial shout out to Georgie for making us feel special to Lera for keeping the table clean & Sylvia at reception for taking lots of pictures coz it’s our 10th yr anniversary. By the way…..The spinach and tomato salad is a bit overrated. We Love the steak, lobster & scallops yes and the desserts too! Thanks for the lovely experienced.
G. M.
Fantastic food and service!
Our host Alex was magnificent. Defo coming back try the fish as this time we had just a steak
B. J.
Service was really good, despite the fact that our waiter was in his only second week. He was genuine and friendly and seemed to be happy to be there.
Steaks good as usual and as expected. The shaved vegetable salad (don’t laugh!) was a surprise hit: pickled asparagus balanced well by fresh mint; try it!
The Tunworth mash was a great delight; triple cooked chips: enough said; stichelton hollandaise is the best accompaniment to the steak, replacing the old favourite peppercorn sauce (sorry Pep).
Try the Primitivo Fatalone red with your ribeye, it’s brilliant; you will wish you could eat more steak so you can order another bottle.
The only blemish of the whole experience was the bone marrow dish. I had long wanted to try this, so as it was my first time, I can’t really say if it was not done properly or it’s just not my cup’o tea. All we could taste was the lovely caramelised onion that covered it, so I can’t really make up my mind.
Regardless, the 5 stars say it all (even if it’s a tad too expensive overall).
V. L.
Ordered 500g Chateaubriand steak (£13.5/ 100g), it was really average for this price. Isn’t dry-aged long enough to give the strong flavor. Ordered 2 starters and 4 side dishes: mushroom (good), cauliflower cheese (ok ish, nothing special), fries, Mac& cheese (best dish for the whole meal).
Would recommend the sticky toffee pudding for dessert.
They do have really good wine selection, have lots of choices by glass. The warre’s 1994 port wine is exceptional. The 2012 Grand cru st emilion is a top choice too.
Won’t go to Hawksmoor for steak anymore, though they have REALLY REALLY good quality of full English breakfast in Guildhall.
S. S. (.
Always impeccable service, food, drinks ambience, and even managed to make as near a Sunday roast as I could get off the usual menu thankfully (bc silly me didn't see the 5pm cut off)
E.
Nice ambiance, service and food - monkfish, oyster and scallops starters, steak, and sides. We also shared a bottle of Cruz de Alba. This came out to be an expensive meal though (£250 for three), so just be aware. Otherwise have a good time!
M. W.
Decided to get one of the biggest steaks on the menu all for myself, was very nice but I think it should have come with some more sauce and was a tad dry
a. s.
Great atmosphere with professional people warm and kind. They know what they’re doing there, start with amazing service to mouth dropping food! We had a great evening! We will come back next visiting london. Tnx !
J. L.
Celebrated our third anniversary and had an amazing night with great service and great chat with the waiter. Discovered a great ice wine!
M. W.
Exemplary steaks, excellent service and the all endearing £5 corkage on Mondays.
J. S.
Had fabulous meal with the girlfriend while we were down visiting. The best steak I've had in years would definitely recommend if your looking for that perfect steak
R. A. (. A.
Very nice food and service. Quite an extesive wine list. Although it's primarily a steak restaurant, the seafood is good as well.
S. W.
Great porterhouse, but a bit salty. The salted caramel ice cream is delicious.
M. C.
Delicious Sunday roast, beautiful atmosphere.
G. B.
Just had a takeaway ( is this possible) for a Christmas present. Have to say it was in the top three steaks I have ever eaten, one was in the Knightsbridge restaurant & this was one of the other two. They gave instructions how to cook everything & it was incredible. Remember came from London to Birmingham so full of praise to Hawksmoor. You only fail on one count, no restaurant in Birmingham. Come on we have so many top class restaurants in Birmingham, we need you 5 star 👍

Great service great food. Go with a empty belly and a full wallet. Worth every penny!!
G.
Fantastic staff, attentive, informative. Great steak. Had the bone in prime rib. The bone marrow was a bit underwhelming though.
P. N.
Very friendly staff foods was to die for very clean restaurant a glass of wine £20 🤭but that said I would still go back there
N. N.
The Sunday roast was absolutely lovely and my friend and I both were happy with our desserts. We both still tell people about how lovely this restaurant is and highly recommend stopping in if you get the chance. However to this day we both regret not ordering another one of the desserts. Ambassadors Welcome which is described in a way that makes sense to locals but not to those unfamiliar with the 1980s British advert mentioned in the dish’s description. It was beautiful and I still wish I had ordered it.
S. T.
You must try the Thai oysters 🤤. Great as usual!
Y. C.
Elegant atmosphere and great service!
Highly recommend Sunday roast beef!
G. N.
Very nice steak. Comparable to Peter Luger. The desserts are also very delicious. Excellent service.
T. L. L. P.
The steaks were wonderful, and the portions very generous. The desserts and drinks were good, though I think the cocktail recipe could be improved upon. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. We went for a date night but I think it's a great location for groups and parties. The restaurant is downstairs and there is no lift. The toilets weren't as clean as I would have expected from such a restaurant. It is expensive, but for a special occasion the quality of the food makes it worth it. An overall enjoyable evening spent at this restaurant. We both agreed that we'd go again.
B.
Lovely food as always and the service was fantastic, especially our server, Michal.
S. A.
Welcoming, friendly and very polite staff! Got there 30mins before our reservation for couple drink. Bar tender was talented with the mixers, drinks were amazing! Was looking forward to T-bone but had run out, ended up getting Porterhouse (medium-rare)... it was absolutely delicious and mouthwatering! Food was exceptional. I would strongly recommend to all the steak lovers out there 100%
J. R.
Jess was a fabulous host, she ensured that my 30th birthday evening was filled with delicious food, wonderful wine and hilarious banter.
H. S.
One of the best steak I've ever had. Staffs were very helpful and attentive as well.
T. S.
Best steak in London, and amazing Sunday roast to match! Highly recommend the potted beef starter and rib eye steak.
B. T.
Sunday roast was really good. Beautiful facility. But in no way stuffy. Extremely friendly and accommodating staff. An excellent experience.
K. R.
Another great Hawksmoor. Fantastic service, delicious steak. Always get dessert... Always!!
L. B.
As always, absolutely lovely. Be sure to try the Full-Fat Old Fashioned bourbon best drink on the menu.
C. W.
Excellent, good selection of steaks and fish. Friendly service, helpful staff. Highly recommended.
D. J.
Great food. Great service. Checked for allergies. Would recommend
F. M.
If you want a good steak, just come here. Guaranteed. ;)
Also, one of the best creamed spinachs I've ever tasted!
C. &. P.
My favourite steak restaurant in London! Love their T-bone!
I have been to their other branches as well, always very consistent, never got my steak wrong (some steak houses over cooked my orders). Starts, sides and desserts are fantastic too.
Service is friendly and professional.
A. C.
Great food and service. We had a couple of blips but these were well and truly made up for!
M. B.
Fantastic food , service superb. Great evening out.
A. J.
Simply impeccable for all aspects, from food, service and atmosphere. Best Sunday Roast!
T. S.
It’s a nice place but a bit overrated. Service can be much more attentive. Food was nice. Atmosphere is good, a bit flashy for my liking. Management needs to have more chilled out people working there as waiters we found the current ones less genuine.
T. C.
The atmosphere was amazing, the service was great and the food was delicious. Will definitely be returning
V. M.
The place is a classic! It was one of the most known chain restaurant I have heard in London before I even move here.. The food is simply amazing, the atmosphere makes you want to eat a steak and the steaks makes you never want to eat somewhere else except there! A true diamond, a perfect tomahawk steak, an unforgettable experience! Keep the good work guys!
M. M.
The bone marrow starter was delicious but was a bit more filling than I expected. The steak was excellent and among the best I've had. With the sides and starters we ended up with more food than we needed so unfortunately some went to waste. It's on the expensive side for sure but it's high quality food. I'd definitely go back but probably order more carefully. I look forward to giving The Big Matt burger a try some time to see if the burger lives up to its name
L. R.
This is a hidden restaurant in London. The entrance may not seem like much, but the place is a luxurious one with a really fancy atmosphere. The dishes are pricey, so be aware of that. With that being said, we ordered the steak, and we found it to be really nice and tasty. The side dishes aren't really recommended as they have far too little food in my opinion. Nice place, but be careful of the prices.
M.
Excellent, the bar had a nice selection of drinks to have before our meal. The barman was very knowledgeable. Dinner was perfect. The starters were full of flavours and we were not rushed into the main course. We had a large prime rib and chateaubriand, no sauce on either because the meat was so good we could taste the difference in the cuts. The wine was lovely and the waiters never let the glass empty. A great choice of deserts and I had room for a delicious sticky toffee. It is a higher priced restauraunt but you get what you pay for.
C. H.
Great atmosphere for Sunday Lunch to catchup with your friends. It's a large vibrant restaurant lower ground which I wasn't expecting but the space sets the right ambience for lunch and dinner. I had the traditional lunch which was good. The staff are nice snd they gave us just the right level of attention so we were not left looking around for someone to serve us. I would definitely recommend them and I will go again.
S. E.
We had an afternoon booking, I had to change the times several times on the day with no issues from the restaurant. We both had the fillet steaks 1 well done 1 medium, there were excellent. The quality of the food and drink were as you would expect for such a classy place. Would go back again.
Z. a. s.
The steak was very good, staff and decor were fitting for the dining experience. Over all good steak, and decent chips and sauces. Although for 2 people and a glass of wine, we paid just over £100
L. O.
Strong steak game. Top place for a fancy treat but not somewhere to go if you're on a budget and wanting value for money.
The steak was excellent and very expensive. There is an excellent range of all the different cuts of steak with friendly staff to talk you through the menu. The sides seemed excellent and the dessert was delicious too. Good range of cocktails but steer clear of the "cornflake milkshake" if you like milkshakes. You will be disappointed with it if you're looking for anything on the same level as a McDonald's milkshake or better...
Aside from that prepare for a warm welcome, buzzing atmosphere and an absolutely packed out restaurant. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
D. P.
Great Sunday roast. Reasonable price. Liam the waiter was on point. Def try Hawksmoor lager. Nice and spacious but still has a decent atmosphere.
A. A.
Good place to get decent steak in London. This place has a bar area also where you can get a cocktail before your dinner. The service is fast and very good. I have enjoyed my dining experience every-time here. My favorite is steak. We tried different types of Oysters as starters and they were so good that we ordered again!
M. M.
We had the slow roasted rump Sunday lunch. Nice thick slices of beef with a delicious bone marrow jus. What was phenomenal though was the roasted garlic bulb, the smell as the plate was placed on the table made the mouth water.
The cost of the meal was £22 each which considering how much you might pay in a pub for Sunday lunch offers really good value.
The decor and ambiance of the dining room are also very welcoming.
F. F.
Felt like to New York steakhouse! And the steaks (& seafood!) were done to perfection, seasoned expertly and of the highest quality. Try the oysters and a Tomahawk steak, fantastic. Staff was friendly and efficient. Great advice on the wines too. Loved it!
D. S.
Beautiful place. Lovely food. A little on the expensive side if you want a good cut of steak, but reasonable options also available.
Good wine choice, service is exceptional. I really like this place. You can easily spend 100GBP per person in here...
P. C.
What a restaurant. Best dining experience in London
t. t.
Quite possibly my new favourite place for steak. I had the 400g (I think) Sirloin at £31, w/ chips and mac & cheese at an additional charge. The waitress was thankfully very conscious of my allergies, however, she implied I may not be able to have the chips in light of this, but I reminded her it’s just chips so I see no reason why not. She shortly confirmed with the chef this was fine.
A friend and I shared a sticky toffee pudding, which was nice, but I thought it’d be slightly bigger.
Not much character to the restaurant as I noticed there wasn’t a single painting/decoration visible on the walls.
T. V.
Great service and excellent steaks! Restaurant located downstairs and has a bar also.
Desert: sticky toffee pudding - is to die for!
R. D.
Came here for my son's birthday. All staff were friendly, but one in particular, Frank, was outstanding. He looked after us really well. Explain the menu for us and gave us suggestions. Had all the time in the world and never rushed. He was very caring as he spotted the Marconi cheese was in a hot steel bowl and quickly asked the kitchen to put in on a plate as it was for my young nephew. Throughout the meal, he spoke to us and kept us entertained.
The food was good with the steak being cooked to perfect. But even the side dishes were delicious.
l. w.
Great food as usual and a great Monday corkage deal but we were really disappointed that when we got there we were told both oysters and lobsters were off the menu and had been for quite a long time due to COVID. Why not make this clear either on the website or a note when a booking is made ?
S. P.
Very nice steakhouse that serves dry aged steaks and some great food. Steaks were done to perfection, waiters were polite and happy to provide advice...Was a little disappointed that some of the cuts had ran out, but we got there late. We had a very enjoyable dinner...
R. K.
Lovely staff amazing service, delicious food very good steak, and amazing mash and gravy, delicious drinks "Shaky Pete" is my favourite drink, ideal for any time of the year. I really recomend trying it, on the lighter side alcohol wise, but the bartenders are excellent at recommendations if you tell them what you like and what your in the mood for.
Y. H.
Great service. Meal was lovely 😍
H. A.
Excellent place for a meal. The restaurant decorations and music are excellent. Ordered a steak and its taste was fantastic. Tried sweet potatoes as a side dish, and it was also great. The staff are helpful jn providing advice on what to order and explaining the details for each option. Definitely will visit again.
J. M.
Pricey but as good as your gonna get for beef in the UK. A 4star in Texas....
P. G.
Need a steak, simply forget anywhere else and go here, it's big its tasty, the drinks and service are sublime.
Eating here rewards the heart, soul and belly.. Best steak in the UK by a country mile!
S. r.
Fillet steak was lovely, as was the triple cooked chips with marrow bone gravy, and the service was fine. Unfortunately it was the rest which let us down and made it a really underwhelming and overpriced experience.
We found the venue oppressive with little decoration, the choice in drinks and cocktails was very narrow (unless you like gin!), and compared to our more reasonably priced option, it simply wasn't worth double the price tag!
Also, I ordered the lettuce and herb salad, which I found did not complement the steak at all, as it was terribly overpowering.
Overall, I would not rush back.
D. A.
Thoroughly enjoyed both the food and overall experience. Highly recommended!
N. N.
Perfect steak with great desserts!
M. O.
We had the Sunday roast here and it was honestly one of the best I've ever had. The food was excellent, the surroundings are great, and the staff were absolutely superb. The service was quick, friendly and genuinely helpful. Cannot wait to go back!
S. C.
Great meal and service! Location was perfect as we met friends staying nearby and the restaurant was accommodating too. We had a 9 and 7 year old with us and they made them scrambled eggs and toast for dinner since there wasn’t a specific kids menu. Steaks were cooked just right and the Ambassador desert was fantastic!
M.
What can I say that hasn't been said by many? Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Its hard to criticise. OK, it's expensive, but it's not crazy. And there are a lot of sizing options for the steaks to match your appetite and budget. Hawksmoor, please don't follow the well worn path of lowering quality to save money. Stay great.
R.
We came here for an early dinner as a table of six including for an early birthday celebration. Our experience was top quality from the moment we entered and had a drink by the bar. Every interaction we had with the staff was professional and friendly. The food was superb. Some of the guests shared a chateaubriand and described it as melt in the mouth. I had the grilled monkfish which was absolutely delicious - beautifully cooked. The sides were also very tasty particularly the creamed spinach and we all made room for dessert before heading home with satisfied and full bellies.
The prices aren't cheap but for the quality and impeccable service I think it was worth every penny. I hope they dont change a thing as I definitely want to keep coming back here.
T. S.
Overpriced food wasn't that good Miller and Carter steaks were better
Y. O.
Had an amazing Sunday roast..meat was really tender and tasty. Staff very attentive and accommodating with your requests. Definitely will be back.
S. B.
Without doubt the best steak I've ever had, so unbelievably tender!! Charming service helpful sommelier & a great atmosphere made for a very special birthday. Highly recommend.
T. W.
Honestly... Ive had better steak for a lesser price, very salty, but the atmosphere and decor make it ideal for a special occasion, with cracking cocktails to boot
Tbf I think the whole meal was a little disappointing as they had no oysters! Which is a real shame, as nothing beats Oysters and Steak, but wouldn't be tempted to go back and try again.
D. M.
The food was amazing! Our server Laura was prompt and polite, she was great! However, when we got there and have our stuff to the coat check people they took our bags and when we went to leave they handed us all our bags back except for one. We were in the uber on our way to Waterloo station and almost there and we realised they forgot to give us one bag back and we had to uber all the way back and they gave us the bag they forgot to give us and just said "Sorry about that" never mind the extra £15 we had to pay to go from Waterloo to Hawksmoor and back to Waterloo again...
J. M.
Took my wife here on her birthday. The staff were welcoming, and friendly, they made her feel special and we had a lovely experience. If I had one criticism it's that the food went cold very quickly. We were warned that it could be expensive however it wasn't too bad considering the service and quality including the nice touch with the birthday themed dessert.
F. A.
Went for the Sunday roast, gave us large portions I must add. Slightly on the large side of restaurants for my liking, but unlike some I like them cosy. Good quality food and equal service.
J. Y.
Well portioned and priced steakhouse. The only thing they need to improve is that the steak is a bit cold, probably they rested the steak too long, and also too salty.
D. L.
Went for Sunday Roast. Portion size was good. Meat was little tough, but I think that's just the nature of British beef. For drinks try the the shaky Pete if you like ginger. Very refreshing. Down a star due to accessibility issues. Difficult for handicapped customers. Must go down two sets of stairs to enter. No lift. Would not recommend for wheelchair users and for those with prams it can be difficult. Bathrooms are also up a small set of stairs.
K. S.
We went to the restaurant for dinner twice. The first time were bit disappointed. I asked for my filet to be medium rare, it turned out be overcooked. Also, staff members did not seem having a good knowledge about the food or wine.
After one month, we visited the second time and saw much improvement. My boyfriend had the Sirlon. He liked it very much though he couldn't finish it, very generous portion! I asked for my rib eye to be cooked medium rare and it's just right this time. The staff members were friendly and attentive. We asked about the wine selection and the steak choices and they were able to answer reasonably well.
Overall this restaurant had a great atmosphere and food was nice. I also recommended their desserts - the chocolate tribute or the sticky toffee pudding - they were divine.
K. H.
Great service and steak like others have said. The lobster is a pleasant surprise, and save some space for desert.
W.
Fantastic meat, great cocktails, great service.
V. K.
For real steak lovers. Must visit place in London with beautiful sitting space and an impressive bar
K. H.
I had never been to a Hawksmoor before but a friend of mine is obsessed and so she brought me here for dinner one night. After hearing about how good the steak was - how it ruined her for other steak restaurants the bar was set very high!
I have to say, while this isn't my favourite steak restaurant the standard here is very high. The steak is extremely well cooked and is very flavourful. I have to say the chips left a lot to be desired but when the steak is that good you barely notice.
The staff here are extremely friendly and yet demure, seemingly appearing from nowhere like ninjas and ensuring everything is going well with your experience. I shall definitely be returning!
Z. U.
Took my son for his 19th birthday. He loves steak.
Best steak I have ever had and he agreed, tender and flavour filled. Great service. Not cheap. We wore semi-smart attire (blazer, slacks business shoes - no tie) - some people were dressed more casual but that felt wrong (this is a high price and high-class restaurant).
Will go again for a special occasion.
J. W.
This was an amazing meal. We'll informed waiting staff who knew a lot about the dishes on the menu. Quality of the food was exceptional. Cocktails were also very well made. Staff were friendly. It's a big place with lots of seats but as I was dining alone they found a good table a little out of the way for me. Cannot wait to go back.
J. D.
The service was really good, from the hostess to both waiters that attended me.
I had a salmon carpaccio for starter, sirloin and fries as main and a sticky caramel sundae for dessert.
The sirloin I asked medium rare came as I like it, though a bit too burnt on the outside, but I enjoyed it.
The dessert was heaven!
H. N.
Amazing experience every time we've been. I think due to it's wealthy location the vibe is very chilled with nobody taking themselves to seriously. Steak is the best I've eaten and their Sunday Roasts are amazing. Definitely Recommend for steak lovers
F. G.
Excellent old school style steak restaurant. They make chef cuts sized to order which is great to share a kilogram between friends. Also a great whiskey selection to pair with your meal.
S. L.
Delicious food and drinks in an upmarket but relaxed setting. Staff are very attentive and engaging, the food speaks for itself and its always good to see a place like this understand the importance of having good beer on the menu. Will be back.
J. S.
It's a Hawksmoor!
Great drinks.
Fantastic service.
Even better food.
If I want a top notch steak and a great dining experience, this is where I'd go.
This particular restaurant, although below ground level has a quite large and open dining area which feel quite bright compared to other Hawksmoor. But the service and food are 5⭐, no less than expected.
A. A.
this branch has a great environment. the meat is great desert as well
C. R.
Our experience was superb from beginning to end. The filet mignon was tender and juicy. We were told the macaroni and cheese was to die for, and it did not disappoint. Our waiter was amazing and made the entire evening special. Highly recommend!
J.
This basement restaurant in the heart of Knightsbridge could have ticked every box. It’s a high-end chain and this particular location felt like it was ok to cater to tourists that wouldn’t necessarily be returning for a second visit
The food was nice / ok considering the price. £38 for about 3-4 bites of a lobster, £15 cocktails and £40+ steaks just wasn’t quite value for money.
The atmosphere was lacking, the place a little too bright to feel totally intimate, they’re are surely better places to spend £200+ for two people
t. o.
The food was nice, but the steak is not the best in town - go to Goodmans, or Mash. 3* due to the cost of the food that is just ok. Every time I eat here I hope it will be better, but the steak is very under seasoned for some reason and generally lacking taste. they also need to add truffle to their menu like some of their competitors! Scallops to start were lovely. Waiter taking our order was fabulous and welcoming. Staff serving your food at the table were terrible.
J. L.
So lovely. The service is so friendly and attentive. The food is DIVINE. Always come here when we visit London.
C. C.
I wish I paced myself. I did not need the steak, Mac and Cheese and chips but they were sooo good. How could I say no!? Ooh let's not forget the amazing sticky toffee pudding. I am surprised I could stand after that spectacular feast. When can I go again!?
D. W.
A great night out. Good atmosphere that is not pretentious, despite the high quality. The Monday wine club is a great idea which makes it more accessible. Very happy with our night, fantastic food.
M. S.
The fillet steak was absolutely fantastic. So was the salmon starter. For dessert, go for the giant chocolate bomb. It isn't massive, but is delicious. The service was great as well. Hawksmoor is priced at the higher end, but the food and service make it well worth it.
s. s.
went there with friends for the nice evening, but end up disappointed.
we had dinner at Friday night, had table booked 9.30 so decided to eat only main. Service was very slow, we had to ask the waitress if we can order wine few times- no one did not bother to come and take our order. restaurant wasn't busy at that time.finally, we have ordered T-bone steak- medium rear, waited for a quite long time and it came completely rear. it was sharing dish, we all put some meat into plates and all three of us agreed that this is not medium rear. then waited for waitress or anybody to come, but nobody even asked if everything is ok. at last, we got waitress attention and we asked that it is not what we order, he was very rude and just told us that it is medium rear.. "but anyway, put all pieces from plates to pan and he will ask to grill it more"
I was shocked and we all felt unpleasant. our heated steak came 10.45pm so all this time we been eating sides as were hungry.
at the end steak was nice, but the service very disappointing.
this wasn't the first time we dine there, but it was first time how waitress and service put us down.
probably we need to find new steak restaurant from know
Visited July 2016

5 star with no doubt, the dessert is fabulous!!!
J. C.
Great service, great location, 5 minutes from Harrods.
T. F.
Great steak and cheap lunch menu!
S. C.
Does not compare with Air Street in terms of atmosphere, service or quality and choice of food.
Location was understaffed or the server was quite rushed and robotic.
Server was quite unattentive, many basic service needs went unnoticed. Especially when it came to paying the bill...efforts to hide the bill from the individual that was being treated almost was spoiled as he repeatedly flapped the bill around despite numerous attempts to hide the bill from her!
Don’t bring a date/family here if you want good service or treat them!
M. M.
Very high end steak place! Came here with a good friend to celebrate and had one of the best steaks I've ever eaten (1kg porterhouse). Didn't come cheap at almost £250 for the steak, but if you have money to burn, and like high quality food and atmosphere, this is a great special-occasion restaurant.
T. R.
The newest of the Hawksmoor chain and it doesn't disappoint! As usual there is an understated decor and a killer playlist and the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable.
I absolutely adored my steak as usual, the only low point being that they have ruined steak for me from other places. I enjoy it but I'm always left thinking 'but it's not as good as Hawksmoor'.
I really enjoyed the Tamworth belly ribs - they are highly recommended and the pairing with the cabbage is just beautiful.
If you want a treat - I would pick here.
J. K.
Went here for our anniversary. Mentioned it in the booking, they went above and beyond for us. We spent a fair bit but we had a scribed desert gifted to us and some free hawksmoor style rolo chocolates that were amazing. After we had paid we were chatting to the server and he mentioned the chef is rolling out a ferrero rosher desert in the next few weeks and offered us one as a special parting gift. I can't remember his name but he was Hungarian and a really nice. Food was great, Oysters were translucent and tasted amazing, steaks were to die for and really filling. We can't wait to go back. Deserts were unreal! THANKS.
A. A.
When you best steak in London it's mo wonder why Hawksmoor is always listed as one of the top. Till this day since my first Hawksmoor experience, that statement stands true. The Rib eye especially is the best I've ever had. Period.
Hawksmoor delivers a superb dinning experience complemented by the best meat you'll get in any steak house around the world.
I've always loved their steaks but what makes hawksmoor stand out even further is the trimmings.
The bone marrow gravy is out of this world not to mention the triple fried chips and Mac n cheese.
Everything on the menu beautifully compliments each other.
Just when you think it's over, make sure you end with the stick toffee pudding, it's simply unparalleled with anything I've tried elsewhere.
Hawksmoor is a beacon of what a great steak house should be!
J. D.
Classy, cozy place. Excellent service. Portion sizes range from normal to large. Reasonable prices depending on your picks.
I got the tomahawk steak which is huge. Delicious food. Highly recommended!

Beautiful food and service. Extensive drinks selection.
S. R.
Fantastic place for a roast. Delicious meat and wholesome veg. I did have one of those massive Yorkshire puddings, I found it a bit dry, hence missing 5 stats. Service was friendly and attentive
A. M.
Went early on Sunday for an amazing roast dinner, so much food and 5 star service. They made a mistake on order and couldn't do enough to ensure we enjoyed the rest of the meal. A lovely box of chocolates as an apology as we left, you don't find service like that in London.
K. C.
You MUST visit Hawksmoor. Absolutely amazing food cooked to perfection. Deserves 10 🌟😊
L. F.
Steak, mussels, oyster, creamed spinach, triple cook chips, ambassador reception, cheese board & great wine and cocktails to pair. Topped off with some of the best front of house I have seen in all my years. It is always a pleasure to return.
Note. Sunday lunch trimmings shared then get a big cut with it. Just ask.
Enjoy

Hands down one of the best meals of our lives! We were in London on vacation and I’m so glad we ate here. The service was exceptional, the food was superb (get the dessert. Even if you’re stuffed - it’s worth it!), and the dining experience was a pleasure.
J. P.
Hawksmoor is a really nice restaurant who do great, high quality food. The service is also very good and I highly recommend the Sunday Roast which is amazingly cheap for such an upscale restaurant.
I do think they could do better with greeting guests on entry as they are often very rushed, but overall you can't really go wrong here and I do recommend it if you're in the area.
B. N. W.
This is my second time coming and unfortunately both times have been slightly disappointing.
Our male server treated our table like we were a burden to him. He had an attitude and asked some of the girls at our table inappropriate questions about their food choices, none of his damn business why someone choices to eat/ drink certain things for dietary purposes. He said 'I don't mean to be rude, but why do you think it's bad for you..etc.' Idiot!
Our chateaubriand was nice, but burned on the outer pieces. For the price, you'd expect ALL of it to be edible.
There are better and cheaper steak restaurants out there and unfortunately on this occasion they've lost our table of 5's patronage.
The 3 stars are for the drinks and sides, which were excellent.
A. H.
My friends and I dined at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge last night. The occasion was a meet up as we hadn't met up with each other since our University Master's degree graduation ceremony 6 months ago. We all ordered the scallops and mussels for starters before feasting on 400g of ribeye cooked to medium each accompanied with peppercorn sauce. All excellently cooked and beautifully presented. I highly recommend choosing the Macaroni Cheese as a side. The waiter's and waitress' were incredibly helpful and I very much look forward to returning here sometime again soon. Perhaps for a Sunday lunch! Thank you to all the staff at Hawksmoor Knightsbridge who made our stay very welcoming.
H. H.
This place was awesome the food was out of this world and the staff were very friendly. We turned up early and the staff were very friendly and very happy for us to sit down early. Thank you Everyone We will return very soon xx 👌😀🥂
J. L.
Excellent wines and cocktails. The food was amazing too. We had oysters, scallops and sirloin steaks with bone marrow gravy and it all was delicious.
D. F.
Good place, good stakes. Service is good too. The menu is ALL about stakes so don't expect much else in terms of variety (which is fine for steak lovers, of course). Drinks are good too.
C. 0.
I came for the oyster, the first thing that I waiter said. We don't have oyster... ok.
We took chateaubriand medium rare, it came medium plus to well done.
But the atmosphere is nice
K. E. D.
The place is nice and the stuff are friendly and helpful, the steaks are good and the quantity is more than the usual, but not the best for the price. The sides are amazing, a very nice place for both couples and groups but make sure you book your table in advance.
Z. W.
Amazing! I have Coeliac Disease so need to be really careful with gluten. The waiter checked everything for me and was so helpful. I had my first ever Chateax Briand with a big glass of St Emilion. Just lush. I will be back. 😀
S. S.
always delivers whichever branch. Steak (Rump) was delicious.
H. S.
Fabulous restaurant & excellent food & service: does not disappoint!!
L. H.
One of the best burgers I have ever had. This place is amazing, great staff and the restaurant is beautiful. It is a must for anyone who loves a good steak
A. H.
Great steaks but question the size and service. We both easily finished our '400g ribeye' even though we haven't been able to finish even 300g at other (better) steakhouses such as buen ayre. They ran out of sirloins. How does a steakhouse run out of their key product? Service was slow and not attentive.
Good steaks, great sides. But not worth the price and doesn't live up to the acclaim.
T. K. D.
Always had great food and decent service here. Leave every time feeling very full and satisfied. A touch expensive for what it is and on the odd occasion the service could improve hence it loses a star. All in all if you like steak and hearty food you gotta go.
M. J.
My favourite of the Hawksmoor branches. One of my favourite Steakhouse in London. Make sure you get the sticky toffee sundae if you had room after dinner.
B. F.
I went to Hawksmoor a couple of months ago. I must say that it is the most impressive steakhouse I have ever been to. The staff were very courteous and prompt without being annoying. My waiter was a nice young gentleman named Reed. He was clearly very knowledgeable about the menu. I started with the tartare, a caesar salad and mussels, and finished with the filet mignon with bone marrow and also bone marrow gravy, and a glass of Dom Perignon. Let me say this was one of the best meals I have ever had without question. Taste and presentation were second to none and the intervals between dishes were perfectly timed. A more thorough review of the food:
Tartare - 9/10 - Well-seasoned, exquisitely arranged, great fresh beef bursting with flavor, well executed tartare. Portion could have been a tiny bit bigger but that's fine.
Caesar salad - 8/10 - Cut-and-dry caesar salad, nothing special but fantastic nevertheless, good flavor and right amount of dressing.
Mussels - 10/10 - Wow! This might have been my favorite part of the meal. Plumpest, most flavorful mussels I have ever tasted in my life, no competition. You can tell these beauties did not come from far away, and the chef should get some kind of award for such an amazing preparation. If you get one thing here, get the mussels, seriously. No grime or grit, just enormous flavor.
Filet with bone marrow gravy - 9/10 - This is a steakhouse, it's what they do. Perfectly blue [how any filet should be] with a nice char. I don't usually like sauces with filets but the bone marrow gravy was rich and smooth and just plain delicious, made the steak a 9/10 instead of 8/10. All in all a great steak. You feel pretty important eating this steak with a glass of Dom Perignon. Be prepared- steaks are a la carte in the strictest sense possible, if you only order the steak you only get a steak. Hence all the other food!
Bone marrow - 9/10 - Not for everyone but if you like bone marrow, this particular rendition is fantastic. Intensely rich and beefy. Best eaten with accompanying toast. If you're not sure you like bone marrow be careful.
Tremendous meal, superb staff. Really a special treat. I will be back for sure. Not cheap but no one said it was. Is it the best steakhouse in London? That's a stupid question. Its certainly one of them, though. Certainly one of my favorite and most memorable meals.

Known for their tender and flavorful steaks, the Hawksmoor restaurant group’s location in Knightsbridge is perfectly situated near the museums and the renowned department stores, making it the perfect stop for lunch while taking in the sights, or as my friend and I chose to do, a dinner in style.
We opted to start with scallops, roasted over charcoal, which gave a nice hint of smoky-ness to them, accentuated by the white port and garlic-infused butter they were served with. Since we couldn’t decide on individual meals – we wanted a bit of everything as it all sounded delicious – we chose to share our mains.
First we ordered a whole steamed Brixham lobster, served with garlic butter. The lobster melted in our mouths, the texture perfectly light and buttery, and the garlic didn’t overpower the dish, but enhanced it.
Next we chose an amazing 1.3 kg Tomahawk steak lightly cooked to perfection! If you’ve never had a steak at a Hawksmoor restaurant, you’re truly missing out. We talked to the staff, which by the way were so outgoing and friendly, and learned that the restaurant only uses the finest British beef suppliers, using traditional methods instead of mass-produced farming. The steak was tender, rich, and honestly one of the best I’ve had in my lifetime. Served with triple cooked chips, the potato starch is exactly the right accompaniment to the perfect steak. I’m a sucker for a crispy, delicious chip.
Despite being so full from our delectable dinner, we opted to end on a sweet note, ordering the Ambassador’s Reception, a chocolate and hazelnut flavored pudding, reminiscent of a certain spread we’ve all enjoyed. The best part is they donate a portion of the sales to a charitable cause for world hunger. We also ordered the sticky toffee pudding, highlighted with a dollop of clotted cream.
Everything about Hawksmoor Knightsbridge was exceptional. A true culinary gem!
O. N.
Good steakhouse with consistently high quality food, but service can be a bit hit & miss from my experience.
S. C.
This is one of my favourite steak places in London with great steak and amazing wine selection. This restaurant has a slightly more up market feel to it when compared to its sister in Covent Garden which is much more casual but still great for business, friends or partners
T. F.
Great service and the food was all very good. The steak was prepared exactly as ordered and was superb. The wait staff were friendly and efficient. Will definitely return.
C. L.
Tried out their express set (available until 630pm, 25 pounds 2 courses/28 pounds 3 courses), the starter we chosen yorkshire puddings with caremalised onion sauce and pork + beef pot were big and yummy, the sacue was very delicious. The desserts were divine as well the toffee pudding was as always very fresh, warm, rich and spongy, while the creamy cheese cake was smooth and very rich in milk in flavour.
However, I think the rib eyes there were unexpectedly unimpressive. Tried 2 times still the same opinion. I prefer the Hard Rock Cafe one... I read numerous comments and I think diners in general consider Hawksmoor's rump steaks as great (19.5pounds per 300 grams), so perhaps other steaks are just average.
N. H.
So delicious! The food is unbelieveable. Came here for my husband's 40th and having written on my reservation that it was his birthday, they surprised him with some chocolate caramels with happy birthday written on the plate and a candle. Nice touch.
L. G.
Excellent food and charming, down to earth service, with special mention to our Canarian sommelier who was wonderful and warmed us to the place.
Went to enjoy the set menu on offer, ended up by ordering à la carte, as the latter was quite difficult to resist.
Love the staff's informal dress code. An all-rounder place for either business or leisure diners (mine was a romantic one and it was great)
K. L.
Pricey but worth every single penny. Servers were friendly and helpful and made understanding the menu a breeze. Highly popular for their £20 Sunday roast set lunch.
S. B.
This is a lovely restaurant which I’ve visited twice. The service is excellent and the meal was superb. If you love steak, then this is the place to have it .
K. T.
Enjoyed our meal here! Great service. Awesome t-bone steak, mussels etc and good choice of wines.
C. K.
Best place for Sunday Roast. Great price, £23, and the meat quality is superb. Highly recommend. Reservations required as they get very busy.
J. S.
Not the best especially given the prices. Got orders wrong and staff were poorly dressed. Food when delivered correctly was good if a little overpriced. The wine list carries a fairly hefty markup.
L. E.
I was very lucky to be invited to lunch at the new branch of Hawksmoor.
From greeting to good byes the staff were friendly, informative and just give an air of a great relaxed place to be.
Food wise we were recommended the steam shell fish platter to start: for me this was heaven on a plate!! Full of fresh shellfish from lobster to clams swimming in a no nonsense fish sauce.
Mains between 4 of us, 2 went for steak ,fillet and sirloin, other 2 monkish and lobster roll, all extremely tasty and perfectly cooked, especially the steaks. Star of the meal was my Stilton Hollandaise sauce, which I honestly think goes down in one of the best accompaniments I have tasted.
Desserts again fab, and again think I choose very well, with chocolate rolos including salted caramel and pistachio: small perfectly formed.
We all had a memorable lunch: the service, food and wine was spot on.
N. R.
I recently had lunch at the Hawksmoor and have to say I had one of the best steaks there that I have ever had!
The menu is great, lots of options and the wine menu is extensive. Service is relaxed and friendly and the staff are really knowledgable.
For me the, eye fillet with the stilton sauce and a bottle of Pulenta Estate, Malbec wins hands down!
T. D.
Absolutely brilliant, big birthday treat with my son. Service excellent, food amazing great scallops, porter house steak to perfection and good wine. Our waitress was a gem.

Rico para un roast Sunday. Recommendable

Wonderful restaurant with good quality of foods and services

⭐️⭐️⭐️: Only Go If Someone Else Made The Plans
My wife and I went for dinner and got the mackerel salad and caeser salad to start followed by a porterhouse for two, cream spinach, mushroom, and cauliflower cheese. The food was all very good, however the service and ambience fell short. The dining room is in a crowed/noisy basement space and the servers were lackadaisical.
P. Z.
First came with some customers last month in Manchester. Then decided to dine with my wife in London on vacation. Food excellent streak amazingly cooked and savored. Wine choice incredible. Price a bit hight but we'll worth it. Atmosphere brilliant. Coming again : Ahhhhh definitely. Thank you guys
E. K. S.
We ate Sunday roast, it was delicious. The service was very good and the atmosphere was lively but not too loud. The sticky toffy pudding wad the best.
J. Y.
My opinion is that Hawksmoor was one of the best steakhouse in London, the dishes were excellently executed and staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. A great experience and a must go for steak lovers.
H. F.
Got to be the best Sunday roast in London. Been to a few Hawksmoors now (Air St, Seven Dials, Spitalfields) and the concept works really well at all of them. Great decor, service, food, drinks... try it!
S. T.
Fantastic service and always excellent quality and tasting food. Steaks are wondering. If you get dessert I would recommend sticky toffee pudding - just perfection.
J. T.
Great quality food, presentation was on point and the service was quite good. Well priced for a three course meal as well. The atmosphere is pleasant as well. Would recommend this spot for a date night.
r. m.
Potted beef and Yorkshire were lovely. The steak was cooked spot on. Quit expensive but very nice. You get what you pay for
G. A.
We came out for a fancy dinner, to catch up. This Hawksmoor is in a basement, which is nicely shaped with arches in the style of a wine cellar, but still seemed slightly less welcoming that the Air Street restaurant. The server was friendly and helpful. WeI had the asparagus with duck egg hollandaise to start, and the 55 day aged rump steak for the main. Both were fantastic! The extra ageing added to the flavour significantly.
G. B.
One of the best steakhouses in London has arrived in Knightsbridge. If you like meat, Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is a place you should have on your map!
Hawksmoor Knightsbridge is located in a little side street and easy to miss if you do not know what to look for. Once you enter, you are in a beautiful, elegant space dominated by dark wood, brass lamps and light green leather.
At the reception, I was asked for my name - wrongly, I assumed they wanted my first name and spelled it. And I was corrected. Yes, of course the "oe" should be an "ö", but I had given up long ago spelling my name with "ö" in London. However, the woman at the reception was German and when I confirmed the umlaut in my name, she immediately recognised that I was also German. Sometimes you get the impression that London is quite small, and full of Germans.
Soon after I made my way down to the table, I was offered a complimentary glass of champagne, because it is summer. That's what I would call a great start!
After a quick look at the wine list, the lovely waitress - another export from the continent, though not from Germany but neighbouring Poland - asked if she should get the sommelier over to me. I always like to get recommendations from people who know about wine, so the sommelier talked me through the list. I asked for something light, white or red. He suggested a few options, dashed off, and came back with three tasters. Really excellent service. I decided to order the one he mentioned right at the beginning, an unusual Grenache (Birichino, Old Vine Grenache 2012 - Santa Cruz, California) with a distinct taste. A good choice and a really delicious, light, red. Too light for many other people, I guess, but right for me.
I did not have to wait too long before my juicy, medium-rare grilled fillet steak arrived. It was a bit on the rare side, I would say, and tasted very good. The peppercorn sauce had a strong and lovely peppery flavour, I just would have liked to see more peppercorns in it - again, that's just a personal preference, and as it was full of pepper flavour, I did not mind. When the friendly German descended from the reception and wandered around the dining hall, she stopped by and we briefly chatted about London and the meat - I did not know, or remember, that Hawksmoor sources its steaks exclusively from Ginger Pig. Good to know, Ginger Pig now seems to supply plenty upmarket places with their quality produce.
As side, I had chosen the triple-cooked chips. They were golden and crunchy, just as I like them. There was nothing special that makes them stand out, they were simply very good chips. When I added some salt and pepper from the little mills on the table, I found them even more enjoyable.
After destroying the beautiful steak, I went on to get a delightlingly decadent dessert dish - they call it "Ferrero Rocher" and it is a gold-plated chococlate heaven. Many different textures and flavours, creamy and crunchy, and simply one of the nicest chocolate desserts anyone could imagine. Once again, an excellent recommendation, this time by the helpful and attentive waitress. When I ordered the dessert, she had explained to me that they serve Climpson & Sons coffee. You think that when they source coffee from a nice roastery, they should also serve a decent cup. And they did, the flat white was indeed better than the coffee you mostly get at restaurants.
I was at Hawksmoor before and I liked it. However, this time the steak was even better than at my last visit some years ago. As you expect in Knightsbridge, it all comes with a certain price tag. Really, at this level I kind of expect to get some nice bread to start with; perhaps that's out of fashion now, and maybe I eat too much bread anyway...
That takes nothing away from the absolutely delightful fillet steak, peppercorn sauce, wine and service.
T. A.
Beautiful food, cocktails and service
O. A.
Perfect atmosphere along with the most tasteful stakes ever... highly recommended. Staff hospitality is overwhelming and their menue suggestions are on the spot....
L. Y. S.
I had the Sunday Roast. It was terrific. The main character of the dish -the roast beef- was tender and well seasoned. Service at the restaurant was also great.
5/5 for sure.
M. T.
I had steak tartare and fillet steak. Steak tasted me good. Tartare was amazing! I got a bad luck on this day, very drunk guys saying dirty jork to me sat next to me. But it was nothing because the staffs all were great. They took good care of me. They also gave me a petit gift and said sorry about that when I left. My point is not just material. I wanna say, I was so touched feeling their heart of hospitality. I really want to come again, better with my husband.
T. M.
The food was excellent! Definitely coming back! Service is good as well. A bit pricey but worth it. The surf'n'turf was a good choice.
S. H.
Wow, what amazing food - and the service was awesome. The sommelier was superb, she was probably one of the most knowledgable sommeliers that I have dealt with for quite some time! Only down side was a lunchtime sitting and the restaurant was very quiet - ideal if thats what you want. Much busier in the evenings.
H. G.
Great service and fantastic steaks. Best I’ve had in a long time and been to a few of the top ones in the same area. Hawksmoor always is top notch
E. R.
Excellent steak, fish, and cocktails, and remarkably attentive staff. Certainly not a cheap option, but an excellent treat and with an affordable (and very generous) Sunday roast option.
K. L.
Lovely Sunday roast and fantastic steaks.
Highly Recommend
S. H.
Pros: excellent meal (and meat especially), excellent service, clean toilet, spacious hall.
Cons: only marginal - a bit pricey; dim lights and location in the basement create a German "Bierhalle" atmosphere (which I don't particularly like); also almost no internet reception.
J. A.
Always good service and some of the best steak in London. Monday wine club allows you to bring your own which is a great way to have a cheap (ish) evening out
R. S.
Not too bad. Great food in a wonderful Art Deco basement. The server magic'd up some Yorkshire Pudding despite it not being on the menu
G.
The usual fantastic service. It's not cheap but you get real quality; food, wine, service and atmosphere. Never regret a big night here
P. M. C.
Great Sunday Roast definetly go back.
O. G.
Great food. Never thought that 900g of Porterhouse could be gone that fast. The noise level was quite high, though.
Anyway, we really enjoyed the food.
K. S.
Excellent service. Food very good. Only minor fault was the seasonal 'greens served as a side (cabbage) were tough. Everything else exceptional. Would definitely recommend and return.
J. S.
A great experience. We were looked after very well by Valeria. The only thing that would have made it even better would be if you offered a Chicken dish.
J. “. E.
Wonderful food. Only downside was the waiter was totally clueless about the express menu
L. D.
Wow - what an amazing meal! One of the better rib eyes I've had and the bone marrow was great. I really loved the menu - lots of good choices and well worth the price.
E. A.
We are so satisfied with delicious food!
Y. T.
Upholding the Hawksmoor standards, casual but attentive staff, what was particularly exciting was their ceviche of sea bass. Just having the option of non meat starter was particularly good. Need to return to just try out their bar area and cocktails on another ocassion.
J. m.
Yet again another wonderful experience at Hawksmoor, food and service was exceptional. Highly recommend any Hawksmoor location whether it be for a quick lunch or large dinner.
C. M.
Hawksmoor is a consistently good restaurant; firstly the quality of their steak is incredibly high, the setting is smart but relaxed, they have a good wine list and the service can't be faulted.
L. J. Z.
Nice bacon and steak made. Lovely
A. B.
Superb steak and service. One of the best porterhouse steaks we've ever had. If you're a steak lover and are in London, give it a try.
F. A.
Food was lush! Cooked to perfection. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Great selection of desserts and wines!
A. D.
Best steak I have had in about a year. Amazing rib eye. Sides were great. Nice spot for a great meal.
J. R.
Great steak. Lovely texture and well cooked. We had a wonderful meal.
G.
Great place to eat. Good service and staff knowledgeable. The Sunday roast is huge and great value for money. When the restaurant is full it gets hot in there.
L. R.
Very friendly service, very good food and one of the best sunday roasts. Nice ambience and vibe.
L. H.
Great food. But they mixed our steaks up so I had one that was more cooked that my partners for most of the meal until we realised
t. n.
Friendly and welcoming staff and the food was excellent. We treated ourselves to some cocktails as well and the bar staff were very knowledgeable. Great experience overall..
C. R.
This is my favorite restaurant of all time. The atmosphere is extremely professional and the food is absolutely fantastic. It is expensive but I would pay it all over again for the amazing quality of the food.
S. C.
Amazing food, perfect steak, chips lived up to expectations. Great service
S. U.
Never disappointed when I visit the Hawksmoor. Staff are friendly and attentive, service is reasonably quick. The menu is pricey, but I always feel that is is good value considering the quality of the food.
G. H.
Brilliant place to eat. Portions are US size. Service is good, just gets a bit hot when full. Lovely staff
A. v. d. W.
Excellent food, if quite expensive, good ambiance for both groups and couples. Service quite impersonal which was a bit of a let down - felt like a machine rather than a personal experience.
L. Q.
It's a great place to go if you really feel like steak and are willing to splash out. Expensive but delicious pieces of meat with friendly staff and great cocktails.
R. R.
Incredible selection of steaks for avid meat eaters. Cozy dining lounge. Great bar. Fancy and upmarket but relaxed atmosphere.
A. D. (.
Good food. Nice atmosphere. Pricey. Had an incident with the caviar being expired for several months and brought it up with the manager. Might give this place another chance next time I'm in the area.
H. K.
Tasty food, good atmosphere as always. :)
z. l.
Amazing food.
Had the sirloin, tender and flavourful.
Mash & gravy was excellent as well.
Definitely be back someday!
d. h.
Amazing service and the quality of the steak was one of the best I have ever had (coming from a grill chef of 15 years).
N. G.
Delicous steak that really doesn't seem that overpriced considering the quality and location. It's got a definite character and is very attractive.
S.
Lovely food, very fast service and a really nice vibe. Went for Sunday Roast, bit expensive but ideal for a date night
H. Y.
One of the best meals I ever had! Excellent staff. Great value for the quality of food.
F. Y. C.
Always very good steak every time I visit.
This visit the steak was slightly over seasoned, but the quality of the steak was still very good.
S. C.
Best steak I've had in London to date. I recommend the fillet...and the pork belly for starters.
D. L.
Perfect steak Everytime. Also..desert was fabulous

Amazing steaks, great cocktails, extensive wine list and delicious desserts. A treat as it's pricey but worth it.

Always a great meal and fantastic service at hawksmoor
J. Y.
Very average taste. Lots of fat on the steak. Dry age rump tasted gross.
E. A.
We are from UAE and it’s our first time today to visit Hawksmoor restaurant in London.. Great experience lovely staff, delicious food and nice atmosphere.. Thanks a lot and keep it up ... Excellent Staff I ever seen 😊
S. S.
The Sunday roast is AMAZING!! And huge.
k. b.
Food and service was great, the 3-stars is by comparison to it's other venues. This space lacks the same atmosphere and something special that the air street location has.
J. J.
This is a great restaurant for a really good steak. My daughter had monkfish and was amazed at the quality. Nice casual atosphere.
P. O.
Oh the clams. No fuzz but true taste. The TBone is fantastic. Personell are very friendly and picks very good drinks and wine
H. W.
Excellent as always! Service was great, food was fabulous. This is always a good place to eat as it's always such high quality.

One of the best places I've eaten, succulent steak, delicious wine and super Yorkshire pudding!
J. H.
Great meal and service. The location was perfect . Steaks were cooked just right and the desert was fantastic!
T. K.
One off the best steaks I ever had! Really a recommendation! In the Hawksmoor your money is well spent!
S. B.
Lovely food, steak was really good. I would highly recommend this place. Lovely helpful staff too.
M. E.
Ridiculously good food! The Yorkshire pudding starter is the best! And steak melts in your mouth!
C. E.
Delightful food, attentive (but not too much so) staff with a warm, cosy atmosphere while still being incredibly classy.
S. S.
Great Atmosphere! Best food!
M. B.
One of the best steaks I've ever had. I share the tbone steak which was perfectly medium rare!
S. B.
I recommend the porterhouse (medium rare) with creamed spinach, mac & cheese and sticky toffee pudding for dessert. Unbeatable steak house!
N.
Enjoyed the meal here though it is only a chop house - steak restaurant - but everything ordered was good and the bar at the entrance had some very good staff working behind the bar who had very good personalities and, whilst we were waiting at the bar, were creating some new cocktail mixes which we enjoyed as the guinea pigs
Visited on a very warm May as a group of 4.
As the restaurant is located in a basement and London buildings are notorious for poor ventilation the temperature in the restaurant that evening was quite warm if not a little unpleasant - the restaurant was also packed
With our group we had a selection of wines with the starters, main and desert wine - the wine list has something covering a swathe of territories and tastes and there is something for mostly everyone on there
As this is a steak restaurant, with specials depending on the visit, you've a wide choice of meat cuts, styles and weights - cooked as you wish and then choices of finishings/sauces as you want. Side dishes are the usual mix of vegetable / blends
Our host recommended the sticky pudding - which actually was a very good choice and was quite delicious
Our visit was on a saturday night with our host being semi regular there - with a well placed table for some privacy of coversation
Staff were friendly - certainly recommend a pre dinner drink at the bar
D. A.
We had late lunch on 10.03.18. No problematic issues what so ever. The food and service is all 1st Class. Thank You x

Classy 1920s art deco venue. Pricey but the staff make the effort with special birthdays.
M.
Great food, but service so-so. Too laid back and not very attentive.
R. I.
Friendly staff, the service requires a bit of patience, and if you're heading down on a Sunday, a steak of your choosing with the sunday roast garnishes works a treat.

An antidote to stuffy shirt and tie steak houses. Expensive, but worth the price for the astounding food and service.

Excellent meat and cocktails place. Check out the express menu for even better value.

I prefer the seven dials location but nonetheless its still maybe the best steak option in Knightsbridge
M. D.
Fantastic food great service and excellent menu. Steaks are amazing.
C. E.
Food was fab and service great. Only downside is that it's in the basement of the building so no natural light and decor was a bit dated.
D. E.
Some of the best steak I've ever had. A bit pricey, but cannot argue with the taste
L. D.
Great cafe for family outs and we experienced delicious food with large portions.
