Reviews of Hutong

Experienced the food here a couple times, a bit pricey but well worth it. Great flavors and the cocktails are nice as well. Plenty of staff around and very attentive.
The view if you’re fortunate enough to get a window seat is a huge bonus. Make sure you book well in advance.. will be back soon.

There was nothing I could complain about here. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the view at the window table was excellent, the ambiance was excellent! You won't regret going there. The food portion was more than a belly full! You should try the fried lobster, also the monkey business cocktail was a hit! The staff was really friendly and was very transparent when it comes on to the menu. The starter (vegetable roll and shrimp roll) was like a meal itself as it was so filling and tasty!

Super happy with with this dining experience.
This was my first visit to the Shard so did not anticipate security checks on entry to the building.
Food was great quality and flavour.
Cocktails actually had a decent level of alcohol in them (Compared to other places I’ve been and cocktails seem really sweet but alcohol content appears weak)
Staff were extremely attentive and I was completely satisfied with paying the service charge on the bill.
Received a free desert for my partners birthday.

Exceptional view, service and food. Arrive 15mins early as entry to The Shard takes time due to queue and security check. Try the crispy prawn rolls, roast duck with pancakes and the salted egg yolk prawns, which were exceptionally good.

Celebrated my birthday here. Beautiful place, food was gorgeous and staff were so helpful. My sister surprised me by having flowers and champagne externally delivered and the restaurant helped fulfil the gesture.
Cocktail of the night: Comfortably Numb
Dish of the night: Red Lantern

Views of city were great. Service was very good. Food was alright. We had the lunch tasting menu. The dim sum was warm not hot. The duck was very nice as was the tenderloin beef and fried rice. The green beans were a little too salty.

The night skyline was set, a fabulous backdrop to this busy yet friendly upmarket Chinese restaurant. The price for food and wine were reasonable for the good quality we received. The dumpling wrappers were a bit thick. The highlight of the meal was soft shells crab in chilli.
The only thing I would change is the slightly strange seats which is not too comfortable.

Absolutely stunning restaurant with gorgeous decor and views of London; professional service and delightful food. So far the best dumplings I ever tasted in London. Definitely, a beautiful place to celebrate special occasions.

It was good. We were not used to Northern Chinese meals so it was good to experience this. And the views, lovely in the evening when we went. You'll need your booking name and not the reference number which was strange (why the booking reference number then?).
If you get there early for your booking, they'll sit you at the bar so you can order drinks and then take you to the restaurant. Menus are available via bar codes.
The staff were very helpful.
The quantities/portions aren't much, so you'll need a few portions if you're a large party and/or have a huge appetite.
All in all, a good experience.

Only visited for the drinks, but had a very fine weekend afternoon. Amazing views, friendly staff. Pretty good value for money. Even the toilets offer magnificent views of London :)
