Reviews of Jen Cafe
K. T.
As usual the dumplings were great
I was hot so a glass of iced lemon tea was welcome.
A very authentic restaurant with good food, busy as usual.
I always enjoy a bite to eat when I'm in the area.

Popped into Jen’s Cafe this evening before the Theatre (Life of Pi (you probably didn’t care 😏)) for something quick and tasty, and we weren’t disappointed!!
This place is a bit of a gem and a China Town institution. Definitely no airs and graces…
Upon entering you’re guided to your seat at a speed that could well incur whiplash…
Menu’s are laminated card and the choices are short and simple.
Customer service isn’t high on the agenda, when we asked to keep hold of a menu after we’d ordered we got a look of disdain and it frisbee’d back at us 😂
However, the food is so bloody good all of the above paled into insignificance.
The dumplings were cooked to perfection and packed full of flavours and filling!!
One of the chefs beavers away making more dumplings in the corner of the cafe as you eat…
Our fave things: The Fried Dumplings, and how care free the service is - all the effort goes into making the food so great!✊🏻👌🏻👊🏻
📍🚇| 2/3 mins walk from Leicester Square Tube Station

It's all about the dumplings. Fresh. Home made. Good value. Tasty. Best fried - though you need to specify that. Been snacking on dumplings at Jen's for decades. The dumplings have gotten a bit smaller over the years, but are still yummy. (And to be fair I have also gotten larger.) Every time I strayed into the menu I wished I had had dumplings. So. Dumplings. That's all you need to know.
K. S.
Got the pork dumplings (北京饺子), the fried dumplings (锅贴), and the shredded pork with pickled vegetable (雪菜肉丝). Thought the pork/pickle soup was great, but the dumplings' filling was a bit too porky for me, so didn't enjoy these as much...
H.
A no thrills restaurant where you go there to eat and then leave swiftly. The portions are big and good value and it's a reminder of a typical hong kong cafe.

It really is all about the dumplings! We had the fried and the boiled dumplings and they were all so delicious. We also tried the BBQ pork with rice which was really nice. It is a small, cosy place but with great comfort food. And seeing the dumplings being made in front of your eyes just makes it even more special. Will definitely be visiting again!
A. M.
Great place, we got the veggie dumplings and they were amazing but the prices are ridiculous. The dumplings were super small and we paid 6.50 for 7. i recommend this place if you have a lot of money to spend.
E. O.
Solid place for an affordable a good set of Beijing dumplings and a cheap eat. It’s no frills and basic but what you see is what you get - simple and tasty dumplings. Oh and don’t forget it’s cash only.

Not the friendliest experience.
We asked if we can stay for a drink to which we were told that only if we don't stay too long. Fair enough, it was dinner time.
As we were about to sit down another group of people showed up and the waitress was just about to ask us to leave, before even ordering.
Someone else realised what was about to happen and offered their table as they were ready to leave. If that hadn't happened we would have been kicked out less than a minute after sitting down.
The drinks (iced tea and coffee) were pretty decent.
Also, only cash! :)
A. S.
We got iced drinks from here because there were long queues for the nearby bubble tea shops and they are overpriced. I got the lychee iced juice and my friend got the mixed juice. It was only £3.30 which is pretty cheap and it was nice and refreshing. They only take cash which is a bit weird though. Not exactly convenient.

Came here pre-movie, seen a review from social media and wanted to try here, a meal can go for as little as £6 per dish which I went for three of them cos I’m a hungry eater!!
Fried Dumplings were lovely and fresh as a staple popular with patrons as they make their own dumplings here they were juicy and luscious.
Duck with rice was tasty and had a nice sauce with the rice.
Finally after seeing another patron order this I went for it and finished up with Crispy Fried Pork, great crispness on the skin and juicy succulent pork.
I felt more stuffed than one of their dumplings wash it down with some green tea.

With it's vivid jade green hue, Jen Cafe is very easy to find. Their specialty is tea – and lots of it. From the floral sweet Chrysanthemum Honey to fruity Lemon Kumquat, most of their Asian teas can be served hot or cold to suit your mood – or temperature. Bubble teas of all colors, flavors and sweetness can also be enjoyed at Jen Café.
Outside of this, there’s enough variety on their menu to give many of Chinatown’s restaurants a run for their money. Their barbecue options are especially plentiful.

This was a truly unique dining experience: fast, slightly intense, borderline rude service, and really, really great food. Jen Café is the perfect place to have a quick bite after a drink in Soho - I wish there were more places like this in the UK. I'll be returning!
L. B.
ONLY CASH IN 2022! come on.
On the bright side: they've been making authentic and great tasting dumplings for years.
m. l. t.
From the outside you can’t miss the green corner facade. Once in the inside, it feels cozy and welcoming. Through the big windows that wrap the restaurant you can see constant flow of pedestrians, that are mostly tourist. At the corner dumplings are being made by hand, and this is quite entertaining by itself. The service is fast and extremely friendly: You get acknowledged the moment you step inside (this is something that I like and that most of the times comes together with good service), served promptly, and greeted again as you leave with a warm goodbye. The food: I wasn’t very hungry so I just had the fried dumplings and some cold jasmine tea. I loved both the dumplings and the tea, and I can’t wait to come back to try other yummy items from the menu.
B. Á.
My favourite dumpling place in London. Been going here since 2012 and always perfectly fried dumplings and fast ❤️
M. D.
We popped in here one afternoon. We had heard a lot of good things and passed many times but never going in. This time we decided today is the day to try it! Place feels very authentic. I love that you can actually watch them making the dumplings in the window most of the day. It's a cafe so it's fairly basic set up with communal tables and shortish menu. The idea is you go and get something hot, maybe a cup of tea and leave.
We ordered the dumplings both fried and Beijing style boiled dumplings. Both plates were delicious! Juicy, rich and full of flavour! I can't speak for the rest of the menu but if you want a quick stop for some dumplings you can't go wrong. Prices are good too.
Found the staff to be polite and efficient. I often hear loads of stories about how Chinese are so rude but I think you get back what you give and apart from a few times I never get rude service. Remember also their culture is different from ours so don't expect Western style service.
M. W.
Love them dumplings!
Established food (nine years ago it was eight dumplings for a fiver, it's now eight for six).
Love the warm service here courtesy of the ladies who still converse in Cantonese amongst themselves (a rare thing in Chinatown nowadays).

good food served by super grumpy chinese women - but it just adds to. the charm. Cheap and good - but not cheerful - I love it

I’ve walked past this little eatery so often and always wanted to step in for a taste, but today I did and the dumplings are gorgeous, the pakchoi is savoury, the satay beef meatballs with noodles are delicious, and the shredded pork with pickled veg soup is yum yum!
D. N.
We stopped in Jen’s Cafe for a quick bite while we were in ChinaTown on a recent visit to London. I had read about it in some online articles and was excited to try it. The location is small but uniquely shaped so it’s easy to find on the street. Once inside, we were seated quickly and presented with menus in their small dining room. The service was efficient if not overly friendly. We were just there for snacks, we got some spring rolls and pork dumpling. The dumplings were very good, obviously hand made and nicely seasoned. The springs rolls were ok but were mostly pastry. I would have much preferred that there be more veg filling in each one so I could truly taste the veggies. All in all however, we had a nice visit and I’d stop by again if I was in the area.
A. X.
The dumplings were very tasty and authentic. My friend's hot and spicy pork noodles weren't actually spicy unfortunately. The iced milk tea was good as well. Pricing is £5 for 7 dumplings (not too bad for London).
C. H.
actually my favourite dumpling spot. Very fast and very consistent! Made my hand, same menu always..fav!! Just make sure u have cash
S. C.
Home made food. Food was simple but handmade and delicious.
R.
Giving 5 star for the food and 2 star for the customer service . Food is homemade and mostly fresh ,delicious and affordable. Probably best place overall in China town. I recommend Beijing dumplings (not fried ones) , pork rice, fried prawns, wonton, chicken roast . Service can be a bit bad but I don’t think that shud stop you from eating there . One of the ladies was very nice tho while other was quite rude & refused us a spare bowl . And cash only ! Overall, I would go there again every time just coz the food is homemade , value for money and yummy.
W.
personal favourite for best cheap quick food in london. Crispy Roast Pork noodle in soup is one of the best meals in london IMO
A. A.
we got the fried dumplings (delicious), pork with rice (loved) and the vegetable ho fun (i wasnt a fan)
R. B.
Good dumplings made in house in front of you , very authentic, interesting expirience and fantastic value for money
F. B.
Don't expect to be treated like royalty here but that's part of the charm! The staff are hard working, the food is nourishing and the prices are great for the location.
J. F.
Delicious, authentic, no frills food, dumplings are A1, will be back!
W.
Cash only!! Also we ordered the vegetarian dumplings and got pork. Ok since we're not vegetarian, but if you are, double check 😅
R. M.
An old favourite... There's been a little old lady handrolling Beijing dumplings in the window of Jennifer Cafe since I moved to London 20years ago. She's still there. Hot, sticky and toothsome. Just like you'd find in Southern China, with brusque service to match. Pop in for a couple of portions of the steamed and fried fresh dumplings and take some home for lunch tomorrow... It won't set your world alight, it will fill a spot though
M. M.
Why it took me years to finally step through these door I’ll never know.
Great handmade dumplings, good filling noodle soup, roast meats with rice hit the spot. Very friendly service, reminds me of being back in a Hong Kong in a cha chaan teng.
For the price you pay it is excellent, but if you are wanting a knock your socks off meal this is not the place for you. It's simple and good homely food.
A. S.
Mediocre handmade dumplings in cafeteria style setting with marginal hygiene. Paid £10 for plate of greens and order of fried vegetarian dumplings.
M. D.
It's a small cafe, dark green in colour in China Town the decor is a bit dated reminds me of a English version of a greasy spoon cafe, well they insist on cash don't know why Chinese are fixated on cash, tax dodge maybe, I ordered the noodle soup was OK the dumplings were alright and the drinks were quite nice only picked this option as my favourite Chinese restaurant was full but never the less I had a bowlof pork noodles winsome dumplings a apple juice drink which was quite yummy and green tea all for under £20 I would come back again as its a cheap option and the service is faster than most restaurants in China Town
C. G.
Every time I am in London I make a beeline to Jen. I have eaten dumplings in other places in Britain but nobody comes anywhere near her. Long may she reign supreme in the Soho scene. After the lock down is lifted I hope to visit Jen again. Good food is good food. Jen is something more than good she is excellent.

Been coming here for years, easy, friendly, nice food at good prices

Rude staff.
They accept cash only.
Microwaved BBq pork.
I think that you should only go for dumplings here. Dumplings are good.

Although a dumpling place l enjoyed noodle and vegetable soup. Also yuanyang? coffee with tea. Delicious. Friendly staff
O.
Really good fresh, hand-made dumplings (especially the non-veggie ones). However, the service was somewhat brusque with lots of rules designed to get you in and out quickly. Also a very small place, so don’t go here hoping to spread out and relax. In addition to dumplings, we got barbecue pork and roast duck with rice, and neither were great (they were fine). Dumplings were £8 for about 8 little guys, and the pork and duck were around the same.
F. P.
Staff are friendly but don't expect a smiley face to great you.the foos however is next level.you don't expect the flavors to burst in your mouth when you sit in the cafe but he foods amazing.the place does need to have a refurb as its a bit tatty
J. T.
Small place which prepares the dumplings directly in front of your eyes.
Unfortunately they don’t taste as good as they look - in my opinion they don’t taste like a lot in the first place.
It’s a pretty hectic place too, which probably also comes due to the fact that it is very small and crowded.
Privacy is not available there, so prepare yourself for sharing some seats on your table.
The prices are a bit too expensive for what you get.
J. J.
Had their dumplings both fried and steamed. The dumplings are well made and delicious. However, the portions leave something to be desired and I definitely left hungry. Perhaps not the worst for the price range but I'd recommend ordering 2 or even 3 portions if you actually want to get full.
G. R.
Crazy good dumplings. Must try their fried dumplings…
f. 2.
It was great.. fast service and everything is hand made almost on the spot, the food is brilliant and for the boba tea lovers there's a variety of drinks to try for a cheap price, I really recommend stopping by here on your travels around Londons China town
R. L.
Best place to eat authentic Dumplings in China town! The Dumplings are fresh Made by a Lady in the Window! So good and Not expensive! I was only disappointed by the Duck, I wouldnt recommend to order it. But the Dumpling Menu and tea is very good! The restaunt is very small so you cant stay in There for to Long because They Need the table for new costumers. But still my favourite place in Chinatown!
D. L.
There's no words to describe how tasty the dumplings are in this place. They'll be prepared by hand right in front of you! I love how fast they'll serve you and I always enjoy their selection of non alcoholic drinks. Not many seats unfortunately, and remember, this is a CASH ONLY restaurant
A. T.
Not my ah por's cooking, but delicious and great value
W.
Freshly made dumplings. No fuss authentic Chinese food. Love their dumplings and fish ball soup. Must try. Bring cash though, they don't take card payments
I. L.
Not a go to place, except for Dim-Sum (aka Dumplings).
A typical old-fashioned, over-crowded Chinese teashop or café, always very busy, even chaotic, with the cooks and waiters exchanging roles on the go, missing orders and cooking inside the dining hall... I'd never go to this place on my own, except for the fact that their Dumplings are awesome. Very good indeed.
But dare not try other things, such as rice. Dry and badly cooked we left it almost untouched, as we did with anything else but the heavenly Dumplings.
T. Y.
i love this place. amazingly tasty dumplings. it's cheap and cheerful, so don't expect doting waitstaff. but find a table, order a bowl of dumplings, eat, and feel happy... and then get out to make way for the next customers!
T. D.
An unexpected find in Chinatown just behind Leicester Square. All dumplings freshly handmade by the lady working in the front window. Very yummy! £5-6 per dish of 6. Roast duck was delicious. The service is a bit abrupt, and they do encourage you to move along, so not a place for a lingering meal. But fair enough, our table was quickly filled by another group of customers!
D. F.
Firstly I read reviews about this place and I knew what the best thing to come for here was – the dumplings. A clue is when you see a woman in the window making them. Don’t expect much in service, this is in the heart of Chinatown, but the dumplings are very good. We got a batch steamed and fried and the fried ones were much tastier. Crispy exterior enhanced the flavour. Also had a chocolate bubbletea.
D. M.
Feels very authentic to me - freshly made dumplings, noodle soups and all kinds of bubble tea. But this stuff ain't expensive or time consuming to make and so the prices they were charging seemed a bit of a piss-take - probably because of the tourist foot-fall. I'll still visit, as a Londoner, but I'd go a lot more if the prices were fairer. One waitress is delightful - one is the height of rudeness; quite something to witness.
F. T.
I have been wanting to try this place for a while, so me and my friend finally popped inside for an impromptu lunch meet. The place is quite small and quite busy during lunch hour, but we managed to be seated straight away.
I ordered the soup noodles with roast duck - the soup was maybe a bit bland, but it wasn't too bad when eaten with the roast duck which helped balance out the flavours. You can add extra soya sauce if needed. My friend ordered the hot and spicy pork noodles with sauce. The noodles looked homemade and were quite thick like udon noodles. We saw the table next to us having it so we ordered one ourselves, and it was simple but quite tasty.
We also shared a bowl of wanton soup. I think they use the same soup base for the noodles and dumplings as they taste the same.
We were too full to try their dumplings which are supposed to be pretty good, and you can also watch them making them by the window.
The food here is simple, tasty and cheap, and I would probably pop back in again soon.
R. D.
One of the best Chinese restaurants/cafes in London, cheap, fresh with noodles and dumplings done fresh all day long. Service is not the best and is not the most spacious place, but the quality of food is amazing. And the possibility of eating a delicious healthy meal for less than a tenner is impressive.
I. G.
Quick pit stop for some handmade dumplings is always a nice experience here! Get the fried ones for extra crisp! Cash only and you will share a table with others. Not intended for longer stays.
E. E.
We enjoyed the wonton soup, vegetable dumplings, chrysanthemum honey tea and ginger tea. Cosy place and great price 10/10
A. A.
Cram yourself in there and enjoy the dumpling prepared just now on the table next to you. You can have bubble tea if you really must but it is far from the best around so dumplings, dumplings and more dumplings, preferably fried. They are quite basic but definitely fresh.
Well worth the wait for a table corner.
A. C.
Love this place. Their freshly made dumplings are so tasty! This is a very informal place where you're expected to share a table and not linger for too long.
J. H.
Amazingly flavorful. The dumplings, spring roles, and iced teas were especially delicious. I don’t often leave reviews, but this place should have a much higher rating, so I’m trying to help it out.
P. B.
If you don't mind sharing a table and the lack of basic customer service you'll love this place. The dumplings are awesome and the ribs are epic. Enjoy! PS you'll also probably have to queue, you can't reserve.
H. L.
I was introduced to Jen Cafe by my girlfriend when we first started dating, and we've been going back there on a very regular basis ever since. The food there is top quality traditional Chinese food, definitely not westernised. In particular, the Beijing dumplings are to die for - they are made fresh pretty constantly throughout the day by one of the cooks who sits in the window making them right in front of you. Don't expect any frills at Jen - you'll be sat on a tiny plastic stool, possibly with other people at your table (as the restaurant is tiny, and very popular!). But don't stay away from it for that reason - the food is incredible, and by far and away the best dumplings that I've ever had in the UK.
S. H.
Best place for authentic noodle soup and dumplings - I've been here numerous times. You can only pay with cash, and don't expect table service, but the owners / staff are really sweet once you become a regular.
S. O.
Came here for lunch recently, gunning for some crispy pork belly, char-siu pork and rice. The pork belly was okay, though certainly not the best I've had (in my opinion, crackling needs to be firm and crispy rather than soft, chewy & rubbery). However, I also ordered the dumplings (which are hand-made/assembled in the window), steamed & fried & I'm happy to say, both were very pleasing. Will definitely be back for the dumplings.
J. N.
I've only had the dumplings but they were very good and fresh. The place is certainly nothing special decor/service-wise but it's a great place to pop in for a few plates of dumplings and get out quickly.
D. A.
Great dumplings prepared everyday right in front of their customers, fast service, and a great location (imho) makes this one of my favourite places to grab a quick lunch. It's not fancy and service is not top notch, but that actually adds to its charm as far as I'm concerned.
J. M.
This is a perfect spot in Chinatown for wonton soup and dumplings (fried, steamed, vegetarian, duck). I normally don't go for the other options because i just love the soup. They do a nice pearl tea if that's your thing.
L.
Just have a quick noodle is good. Taste are fine.
P. E.
So I followed the advice given in the other reviews and just tried the steamed Beijing dumplings. I am no expert in the field, but I liked them. I went in the evening during a week day and I did not find any queue, which was fine. It makes a good option if you need a quick and cheap bite when in Soho.
E. B. d. Q.
Take it down to Chinatown ...
Based in a prime location on the edge of Leicester Square and China Town, Jen Cafe is a no frills cafe with plastic tables, low stools and a toilet sign telling you that it's out of order all year round BUT don't let that put you off.
Although they offer further dishes, the dumplings here are the real crowd pleasers as passers by watch them being prepared in the shop front.
Weave your way trough the middle aged Chinese women on the street (they're not Soho ladies but cigarette sellers) and you will find that the choice (like the surroundings) are simple. Choose from vegetable or Beijing pork dumplings steamed and dip them in the home-made chilli oil. A great healthy cheap eat at £4.50 for 8 dumplings.
Try ...
Just the dumplings (and rate this review according to them)
Asking to use the toilet
C. Y. C.
OK. On standard but not the best
K. 3.
A very authentic Chinese restaurant. Actually serving lots of tea and traditional drinks hence its name.
The food is fresh and service is quick.
Not upscale yet one of the best restaurants to eat in when in Chinatown London.
Nice warm filling. Our second time in ten years. I bet on it to wait for us in 2025 - we will definitely look for it again.
r.
Homely, cheap, good and relatively healthy choices
p. a.
Been coming here for years, easy, friendly, nice food at good prices
H. S.
Dumplings specialist. It is a fast food ambience you would find in China. So don't expect service with a smile. That said the quality of the food is much higher than any other fast food.
P. B.
After coming here a few times I came to the conclusion that the dumplings and soup are the only thing I like here. Meat is more bone and skin.
Fried dumplings are good.
And really like the Won ton soup.
s.
remember the SAYING?: "looks can be deceiving"
I have eaten there a few times, (different things) 98% of the time I was very very happy & so was my belly! you pay only £5 for dumpling, that are ALWAYS fresh! (you can taste it!) and I love the duck with noodle but you have to ask which type of noodle is available because they have different types every time. the duck has bones so be very careful! but really lovely! you pay less then £6 for that! oh and the jasmine tea is also good. (I'm not a bobble drinker!) the staff can sometimes seem to be taking to you not in a very "happy-chappy" manner BUT that's how they actually are so please do't take their short sentences and sharp tone too personally. I have been going there a few times and one of the lady/staff recognized me and she was very sweet. I feel that they/all the staff are very genuine. I like people who just say it how it is and I can not stand it when people over do it! and that's just me. as long as I live in this city I will be going there to eat every time I want Chinese. I just wish I found this place when I first came to London because I would have saved my self from a lot of bad food that was overpriced but the staff was nice.......
Don't judge the book by its cover because with time and by flipping the pages, you will experience something else+will be wanting more. Take it from me, I do not get satisfied easily! Jen's cafe is a true authentic Jem! ;)
K. P. (.
This cafe doesn't look like much when you walk in, but stay and sit down! They have excellent bubble tea and delish spring rolls. The place is small and doesn't have many seats, but it's perfectly cosy and doesn't feel cramped at all. The staff here are polite and friendly without being overly-so, and they were very helpful when my friend and I admitted we didn't know what we wanted and asked dozens of questions about the different types of bubble teas. If you're a fan of Chinese food and bubble tea, this place is a must!
L. V.
Hand made dumplings were decent. Everything else was below average. But fast service you may need to share tables with others though.
Y. C. D.
Good. Roast meets need to be juicier and a bit less bland.
Good place if you don't want to expend a lot.
R. L.
£9 fr 6 small dumplings is TERRIBLE value for money. Charge far less or give better sized portions; your dumplings are good, but that price bracket is despicable.
V. B.
Whenever I crave dumplings I always quickly stop by here. They always taste amazing. The only thing I don't like is that you can only pay by cash.
B. D.
Cheap, quick and cheerful - don't expect super doting waitstaff or silver cutlery, but the Beijing dumplings are excellent, as is the shredded pork and pickled cabbage noodle soup.
A. P.
I love places with Michelin star/s. This one is not like that.
But five stars for authenticity, home made dumplings, very reasonable prices.
G. M.
Best things to eat are the Beijing & veggie dumplings (always get steamed), the fish ball soup and the teas. Meat and rice are OK, but the steamed dumplings are the star.
P. R.
Enjoyed visit here, though crowded inside as weather very cold that day. Excellent home made soup, bread and cake, simple food, all at reasonable London prices with view of the Serpentine. Took some time to get a table, the only downside. In the summer time I . don't think this would be a problem.
E. S.
If you really like Chinese food, then this place is for you. Classic and delicious dishes with wonderful service. Jen's is the top of my list for places to dine in Leicester Square.
J. K.
Great food & amazing service! We enjoyed the friendly staff here and how prompt the food was, rare for London!
F. A.
Fresh dumplings made in front of you. Great bubble tea much better quality compared to over sweetened colourful drinks you find at bubble tea bars in the area.

We only popped in here for red bean bubble tea, had a little wait and was told red bean wasnt available and we had lychee instead. Sweet family run business and has a real soul and essence of this.
As we didn't have the greatest experience I can't rate above 3 stars but it wasn't anywhere near bad even on that point. I'll be back to review again and still would say give it a chance.
T. R.
No words can describe how good place it is.
A. P.
Great food, the dumplings are highly recommended. Be prepared to share a table this isn't a high cuisine restaurant, just great dumplings at a good price.
J. U.
I met my wife here 12 years ago! :) If you only have a few pounds in your pocket, the desire to have a nice, simple Chinese meal, and no desire whatsoever to meet someone for any sort of romantic relationship, but then get married and have a couple kids with them... this is the place to go.
C. W.
No frills place to grab dumplings. You wouldn’t sit down and have a lengthy meal here but it’s great to just grab a quick, cheap meal.
N. P.
Delicious super fresh dumplings
P. R. C.
Amaizing dumplings thats true and yeah they microwave the food, yeah the service can be rude too but is something about the place and the food i dont know, when i go there i know what to spec and I always have a good time
D. K.
Best value for money in Bahrain. The chef is out of this world.order shish tawook, Bahraini tekka . Grills in general are good. Forget about there sweat .. unless you order a freshly prepared konafa
P. G.
one thing i love and absolutely love is their fu Qing fish ball soup!! Its fishball with minced pork inside. This is the ONLY thing that keep bring me back to this place and i HIGHLY recommend this dish!!
i. r.
Really tasty dumplings, I recommend bejing dumplings, fried squid is also really good. The food is usually served really fast and the prices are affordable.
L. S.
Tasty and fresly made dumplings, it is tiny space, not expensive and worth visiting for Beijing Dumplings.
Y. T.
I have not eaten there, but this is the place to buy your dumplings!! Either uncooked or cooked, vegetarian or with pork. They are fantastic!
F. M.
Good just for the dumplings, really top class dumplings. Bad customer service, al the rest of the menù is not very good.
T. R.
My go to place for dumplings - order one fried and one steamed. They are so good.
A. T.

I finally had a taste of home in that restaurant. It's all affordable, delicious, and they'll find you a seat anywhere. Don't forget to bring cash, or they'll turn you away.

Best steamed pork buns I have ever had! Cash only, but worth it.

Reminds me of Hong kong, best dumplings in town. Noodles are instant but who cares, it tastes good man.
L. M.
Down to earth. Cash only. Quick service, tasty food.
H. V.
Very nice dumplings and most needed roasted duck noodle soup.
Only cash though!
A. O.
The most authentic and reasonably priced duck rice and choy sum with oyster sauce in Chinatown...I felt like I was back in a similar style cafe in Hong Kong.
R. L.
The Beijing and fried dumpling. Both were ok. However, I definitely recommend the honey BBQ pork and rice.
s. m.
Great little cafe, with comfort Chinese food at low prices. Recommend the handmade section (noodles and dumplings)
D. N.
Quite basic, but does the job for a quick drink or some dumplings. I had the grass jelly drink, £3 and it didn't taste of anything.
G. E.
Do not expect Michelin star service or Gordon Ramsey presentations. This place is just glorious for its rough and simple atmosphere and the excellent quality of food.
E. G.
Simple and good value. Relaxed and home made feel. Great Beijing dumplings - nom nom.
A. B.
Nice little plate of fried dumplings for £6-7. No alcohol, cash only.
A. Y.
Sounds creepy, but you can stand outside of the restaurant around lunch time to watch them make chinese dumplings. It's kinda mesmerising.
N. W.
Delicious and authentic dumplings (Beijing-style and vegetarian) for a good price.
A. S.

P. P.

Nice food but my hubby had a very bad tummy after his, was ill for 2 days, not sure if there was a spice etc that didn't agree with him?
L. P.
Food somewhat good. Portions are small. The place is small but cosy. Pearl tea/coffee - no no.
G. B.
Not the best Dampling I've eaten but very affordable price. And the service could be much better
D. M.
Good food, done quick and not pricey. Don't expect to have a long leisurely meal there as they'll want your chairs for the next lot ☺
A. G.
It's so good for the dumpling n their wonton soup, wishing u be success
J. J.
I love this place ! So cheap! And it feels authentic. The staff are super nice. Just be clear with what you want as there is a language barrier.

(Translated) Tasty meals at good prices. Portion sizes are more than adequate (depending on what you order) and the ambiance feels very Asian. The staff was nice and it was very quick. The lychee iced tea was the biggest surprise as it was homemade.
